We used JLK Events services for lighting and music at our wedding, and recommend their services whole heartedly. DJ Tim and Jenny set the tone for the best NYE wedding dance party, they even took pictures for us as we signed our marriage license. The lighting was perfect both inside and outside - which was no small feat considering we had an outdoor, sunset ceremony during the winter! The team at JLK was always kind, communicative, and extremely helpful on the actual day. If you're considering a DJ for your wedding in the lowcountry - you have to use Tim and Jenny!!

Lowcountry Wedding Party
Gary Lucca is a consumate professional. His communication prior to and during the event was top notch. He's got a cool app that allowed us to just add songs to our playlist during the weeks and months leading up to the event. We had a couple meetings prior to the event (both virtual and in person) to go over the details and everything the day of the event, went perfectly! Loved our wedding lighting!
We used JLK Events for the lighting at our reception, and it was absolutely incredible. The lighting added so much to our dance floor and overall reception atmosphere. The Best DJ We Could Have Ever Dreamed Of!
We are still on cloud nine thinking about how amazing our wedding was, and a huge part of that is thanks to Gary Lucca from JLK Events. Gary didn’t just play music, he threw the party of our dreams! Two fantastic weddings with Tim and Jenny!
We have had the most amazing experience with Tim and Jenny from JLK events! From our first phone call to the last dance they were so incredibly helpful, professional, and fun! They gave us a lot of great advice and took our song preferences into account while creating the best wedding playlist. They really kept the party going and Tim was a wonderful MC. We had such a great experience that two years after our wedding my brother also used them in his wedding! They made their wedding so special as well and everyone was on the dance floor all night. My husband and I actually found We found Gary through a recommendation from Serg Catering, by Molly. She raved about him! Well Gary from JLK totally exceeded all of our expectations!! He made it so easy to choose the songs for the evening using an app. He also checked in multiple times with the bride and groom- really making sure every detail was planned out. He kept the parry going and many guests told us this was the most fun they had at a wedding! He had some very touching surprises up his sleeve- so be prepared to cry happy tears! We really loved Gary and his whole approach in making this a truly memorable evening for our daughter! Thanks a million for all your efforts!! Spectacular Experience!!
My husband and I used JLK Events for our wedding on December 9, 2023. While the lightening provided by JLK was nothing short of stunning, the true icon of the night was DJ Tim and Jenny. They went above and beyond for my husband and I, from the first conversation to the actual wedding day! Our reception is one our friends and family can't stop talking about. The music was phenomenal, the interaction with guest was great. DJ Tim and Jenny even created a special track of "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey and a recording of us speaking our vows from our ceremony to create and play a special Vow mix to finish the night off dancing too. It is one of my favorite memories from our wedding day!! And he was even so kind to send us a copy of the mix so we can cherish it forever

All the Sparkle ✨
A few years ago my husband and I stayed at The Westin Savannah which is how we decided to get married there in October. While we were there we loved how lit up the trees were on the lawn. That was a main goal of ours for our wedding.
We decided to rent the cafe lights for our outside dinner and also wrap certain palm trees with lights. The esthetic was so beautiful. While we had our first dance under the lights we talked the entire time about how gorgeous the lights made the lawn. It was truly magical!
We live out of state but as soon as we were in town JLK sent over a team to confirm which trees to light so they had it perfect for us. The entire planning process was very smooth!
Bonus: Due to schedules leading up to the wedding, they wrapped the palm trees the first day we were in town. Every night we got to enjoy the lights while we were hanging by the pool or outside enjoying the evening. Every time I looked at the trees I would smile.

Gary is the best DJ!
Gary helped make our night so fun and memorable! His energy and ability to read the crowd was great! He really listened to how we wanted the night to flow and was very personable with us. He sat down with us prior to the wedding and was able to create our vision for our ceremony and reception and included all the songs we requested! The made the planning process so easy and stress free! We definitely recommended JLK events for any Hilton head wedding!

Best DJ we have heard at a wedding
Gary was a pleasure to work with and helped us have the most perfect wedding day experience. He went up and beyond by making special details and surprises for our wedding that made it even more amazing than we expected. Gary really took our requests of genre and feel of music that night and hit the nail on the head. Everyone was dancing all night and had a blast while complimenting how good the music was all night! Not being familiar with the area had my now wife and I struggling a bit to find the right people to help our wedding go as perfect as we’d imagine. I cannot stress how amazing DJ Tim Allen was throughout the entire process. From having phone calls and emails prior to the wedding to set it all up and recommending other vendors. We did not have a wedding planner per say and Tim was more than willing to take control during the wedding. He made our wedding day absolutely perfect. Cannot thank him or recommend him enough!

JLK and DJ Tim Patoine made the whole reception!
The lighting done by JLK was beautiful and set the tone for magical night! They turned a normal tent into something beautiful!.
DJ Tim and his assistant rocked the reception! Starting with planning months ahead to the day of, they made the whole process so easy. He played all requested music, match the energy of our families, and had us dancing and laughing all night! We can’t thank them enough!

Very best DJ!!
Gary was the absolute best! He did both the ceremony and reception music for us. He told us that he wanted to have a few meetings prior to the event so that we felt like he was a friend instead of a stranger and that could not have been anymore accurate! We cannot thank Gary and JLK events enough! We were limited on music ideas but he nailed it, and many of our guests complimented how amazing the music was. Guests were on the dance floor the entire night and Gary added a very special surprise at the end of the night which left both the groom and I in tears. Gary will forever be a very special part of our wonderful wedding day.

Gary Lucca from JLK Events was incredible to work with! He was so flexible with meeting up in person and via zoom as this was a destination wedding for us. The process of choosing music was easy via an app called Vibo, which Gary used for our playlist and found clean/radio edits of certain songs. His attention to detail was amazing! Gary added on glow batons for the final hour of dancing, which was so cool when we made our grand exit. He added in parts from our vows during a song at the end of the night…such a special touch. He had clips of phone calls from family that couldn’t attend our wedding (I sobbed). He flawlessly helped us pull off an incredible event. If there were issues (which we definitely had), you couldn’t even tell. Gary, THANK YOU for everything and being the most amazing wedding DJ. We appreciate everything you did for us. We contracted our DJ (Gary Lucca) via JLK Events for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Gary met with us three weeks prior to our event. He was very receptive to our wishes and planned a playlist to accommodate perfectly.

Five Stars!
We were referred to JLK through our planner, Amanda Rose Weddings. We hosted an intimate wedding at a private home in Hilton Head, so our vendor team was very important, since we did not have the traditional "fixings" of a wedding venue. JLK did our lights and our sound and we could not have been more pleased. They strung gorgeous cafe lights in the backyard which really were the perfect touch in achieving our vision for the reception. They were so thoughtful in how they hung them and how they were placed and they blended into our reception space so seamlessly. The sound system was perfect for us - we played a playlist all night right from our phone. But the real bright spot about JLK is just how nice their team is. They were always responsive to our emails and calls, and they were so flexible with us throughout the process. And our install/breakdown team was so friendly and kind and made us feel like more than just a job. Great people, great products, great service.

5 Stars for DJ Gary Lucca!
Gary Lucca was our DJ and he was absolutely wonderful to work with! We originally booked with him in March 2019 for our April 2020 wedding. In March 2020, we knew we had to postpone due to the global pandemic. Gary was flexible and able to reschedule to our new wedding date in April 2021. He maintained consistent communication with us throughout the entire process. This was a destination wedding for us and it was great to be able to meet him in person twice before our wedding.
Gary had the perfect recommendations for the timeline of our reception. We felt that he was in control to deliver exactly what we wanted. He was prepared for all of our suggestions or requests. It is evident that Gary is very experienced and professional.
Not only was Gary excellent with the music for our wedding, but also as the MC for the night. He included wonderful personal surprises throughout our wedding and reception which definitely involved some pre-planning on his end! Those details will forever be a highlight of our wedding day. (We're not going to name them here so that future couples are as surprised as we were!)
Gary went above and beyond to make our wedding day special, memorable, and FUN! We're still hearing from guests how it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to and we would have to agree!

Someone who cares about making your day special just as much as you do
My husband and I ended up with Gary by chance. Our original wedding was planned for April 2020 and we had a band booked. When we were forced to reschedule, the band wasn't available on our new date. Enter fate. We ended up woking with Gary and he 1000% made our wedding more special than even we planned. His attention to detail is meticulous. He worked with us through yet another reschedule. He had many meetings with us, mostly through zoom since we live in NJ. He listened to us, but also offered his expertise about things he knew worked better than we did. But the best thing Gary did for us was a surprise he planned, and even still when I think of it, it brings tears to my eyes. We had to reschedule our wedding twice, and because of COVID, our 120 guest list turned out to be 60 people. Not exactly the celebration we wanted, and we were really missing some important people. Gary knew that and gave us the most amazing gift. He contacted our loved ones and asked people to leave messages for us. Without us knowing, he ended up playing the messages for us and our guests after dinner. It was the most thoughtful, beautiful gift and we will cherish that moment for the rest of our lives. Beyond that, Gary had a schedule, kept things flowing perfectly and the party was fantastic. We can't thank Gary and JLK events enough for making our day so incredible.

Hiring JLK Events and DJ Gary Lucca was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Our planner highly recommended Gary and felt he was the perfect choice for our wedding. She could not have been more right! From the moment we met Gary on a Zoom meeting to the very end of our wedding reception, he felt like a part of our family. He was personable, responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. Not only did he make everything happen that my family requested, but he also had incredible ideas for how to make our wedding reception even more special. He even included some surprises for my groom and I throughout the wedding! Gary created the perfect party atmosphere and had our guests partying until 1:30am. Being a professional wedding photographer, I have seen Gary Lucca from JLK events in action many times. So when it came time for my own wedding, there was no one else I would have trusted with our special event. Gary was so professional, as expected and provided top entertainment for our wedding event. If you’re getting married in the Lowcountry, I 100% recommend that y’all book with JLK Events and specifically DJ Gary! Gary was absolutely fantastic from the start- he worked with us from having to change our wedding date (thanks, COVID), to meeting every request and going above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. When you meet Gary, you feel like you’ve known him for a lifetime. He treats you like family! He even reached out to some of our family members who were unable to be there with us at the wedding and had them record a special message for us to hear during the reception. He is phenomenally talented at what he does and gages the mood of the audience perfectly to determine what to play. We had multiple guests tell us they have never seen a dance floor so full! He engaged all of my guests in the kindest, most fun way and my wedding reception was such a blast! Tim is the absolute best DJ in the area!! I met him at a bridal show, and I knew that I wanted his MC skills to hype up the crowd. He was thorough in helping us with a timeline, and worked well with all vendors. He was able to get all the key aspects of our wedding dream down! JLK also supplies other options for lighting. They put up lamps on various stairs. They also put cafe lights in our ballroom, which made it look so much better!! Gave it an "under the tent" feel. We had a spotlight put above our sweetheart table with our new table. Highly recommend JLK with all your music and lighting needs!

Small wedding with amazing music!
We chose to move our wedding to HHI due to Covid-19 and significantly reduced our guest count, I was worried with a reduced number of guests the “party” aspect would subside- but DJ at I’m brought the party! Highly recommend, he even had an assistant to assist while he introduced wedding party among other duties that aren’t typically seen from a DJ.

Amazing Team Made the Night
Seriously, I couldn’t have asked for a better team. The overall vibe is so fun and exciting. I loved the app they offered that helps us narrow down songs, because boy is that a task. Their services help make all of the challenges of wedding planning so much easier. Tim and his assistant (I wish I remembered her name/she was lovely) made our wedding day so special! We had some troubles with a crazy lady next door, (lol) but this didn’t phase our event at all ESPECIALLY because we had them. They made sure to make us feel so special, wish a custom song, and keep the event running. Everyone was on the dance floor dancing. I’m so grateful for them and every attention to detail. If I ever have another event in Hilton Head, I will be booking Tim! He’s such a natural when it comes to engaging an audience. I’m so glad someone recommended them!
Oh, they also did the lighten for our event! If you look at the photos attached you can see how it speaks for itself. It was absolutely beautiful! They really made it all glow.

JLK Events was one of our smartest hires for our wedding. Their entire team is extremely professional and highly responsive to any emails, calls, questions, etc. Their lighting and tech set up was seamless and beautiful. DJ Tim was very flexible when last minute changes arose and was very thorough with planning and preparation. He listened to our ideas while also providing professional recommendations and suggestions. We love the Vibo app that they shared with us to make music selections easy. We knew what to expect at all times and JLK delivered on their promise to make sure our guests had a great time. Our dance floor was never empty for the entirety of our event. Gary Lucca was a life saver!! My dj cancelled on me 11 days before my wedding and I was in panic mode. The first person I called was Gary and he made himself available to help us out. He did such an amazing job and my friends and family loved him! I would recommend him to anyone having an event who wants a fun and professional entertainer. He listened to every crazy detail I gave him 😆 and delivered on such short notice! 5++ stars for me!!!

Lighting compliments galore!
The JLK Events team arrived the day before our wedding to set up our lighting and arrived the day after to take it down. I never even saw them. It was seamless! The cafe/bistro lights were one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding. I got more than I paid for as we had the incredible lighting for an extra day. I’d recommend JLK any day!

JLK Was incredible. My wedding was a destination wedding in Hilton head and I was unable to go directly to the venue location to go over decorative details and lighting. Jamie was absolutely fabulous and helping me figure out the best lighting for my reception location. I felt like between the lighting and the decorations and everything wrapped up together that my wedding came out of Instagram or a wedding magazine. I truly couldn’t be happier in my expectations were far exceeded.

DJ Gary Lucca was amazing!! He DJ'ed our family reunion in Hilton Head at the triangle. At one point I looked around and all 50 of us were dancing, what a truly incredible experience! The selection of music he had was on point too, including his transitions from song to song. A night we won't forget ever, that's for sure!

AMAZING! And so much fun!!
JLK Events + DJ Gary Lucca with JLK, were more than we could’ve imagined! We had the perfect reception and our guests (including my dad who never dances) danced the ENTIRE TIME. He went above and beyond to throw our light sabers into the crowd, the lighting was amazing and set the mood for a fun atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for a better company to help with our music and lighting. The meetings leading up to the wedding were so above and beyond what they needed to do, but they made sure to get every single detail so we had no errors AT ALL. Thank you, thank you to the team at JLK and DJ Gary - you are truly amazing at what you do and I cannot thank you enough!

DJ Gary knows how to help your guests get out on to the floor and have a great time! He is not only a DJ, he is also your MC and your friend. He ensures that your reception flows nicely according to the timeline, and he can adjust beautifully if something changes. He really is the BEST.

When Plans change Some people get better
We had to reschedule a May 2020 wedding twice. The event went from a large venue to our home. JLK came through with a better plan than the original. What a dream. If you ask yourself why lighting, don’t. It makes all the difference. JLK has the experience, the ideas and all the choices. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Couldn't be happier
Due to COVID-19 our wedding was rescheduled and eventually canceled altogether. JLK was amazing throughout the planning process! They were prepared to give us a fantastic day and seemed excited to do so as well! Due to COVID our big day unfortunately never happened (we did manage a courthouse marriage before they closed down). But, JLK remained professional and considerate throughout our canceling and refunding process. We understand that small businesses are struggling right now, so the fact that JLK chose to put us first in a hard time says the world about the people you'll be working with!

Gary Lucca was our Dj for our wedding and he went above and beyond all our expectations. We have had so many compliments about how our wedding was the best wedding our guests had ever been to and that Gary was the best DJ ever! Gary was so easy to work with and took all our suggestions and ideas and turned them into a reality! We LOVE Gary and think so highly of him. He is truly the best out there and extremely talented!

Best dj ever
DJ Tim was the DJ and MC for my wedding and I could not be happier with that decision. He did such an amazing job and was exactly what we were hoping for! Also, so so many of my friends and family have told me both on the wedding day and now days after how great of a job he did! I would 100% recommend him if you're looking for someone with an awesome personality who knows how to run a party! :)

Gary made our night so special
When planning our wedding reception I was initially worried about going with a DJ instead of a band, but everything was perfect and I am so glad that we did! Having a DJ allowed us to pick from a much wider variety of music. We chose Gary and he helped make our day so personal! He was extremely helpful during the planning process and all of our guests loved him! My husband's grandmother wasn’t able to attend and Gary surprised us with a message from her during the reception! It meant so much to us and her to be included on our day! Our dance floor stayed crowded all night, things could not have gone better. He even sent us a few photos that he had captured for us during the night! I would definitely recommend working with Gary!

My "go-to" DJ & Lighting team
As a wedding planner the team at JLK Events is my "go-to" in the Lowcountry & Savannah for all my DJ and lighting needs! Their team of DJs allows me to match my couples with the perfect fit for them. The tools they utilize are perfect for all my destination couples who are often planning from afar. There are no "cheesy DJs" here.. just a group of professionals who will make your event the best it can be!
Their ever-upgrading lighting options are perfect for my events. They have all the "lights" you need for your event and lighting options you didn't know existed- but now you must have! (Drip lighting in a live oak tree- YES PLEASE!) Their staff always arrives on time for set up and their product is always top quality. They are very familiar with all the local event spaces in the area and are always willing to "spec out" a site.
I will continue to use JLK Events because they have always gone above and beyond for both me and the couples I work with!

Gary was not only exceptional the night of the wedding, but extremely attentive to our wants and needs leading up to the event. It is obvious that his natural demeanor coupled with his experience was integral to making our wedding so special. We couldn't have asked for more in a DJ or someone like Gary who also keeps the wedding streamline and organized through the entire night. What a night at Sea Pines Country Club
My wife and I had our destination wedding in Hilton Head and we used JLK Events. Our DJ Gary was so easy to work with we had couple face to face as well as FaceTime meeting to go over music and details. He his attention to what we wanted was very comforting. We went over the list the week of the wedding and he had everything planned out for us. We could have not asked for a more seamless event. We heard from all our guests how much fun they had that night and Gary was a big part of that.

JLK Events provided beautiful lighting for our reception and personalized monograms. If that was not enough, they hung a chandelier in the oak tree to highlight our outdoor wedding ceremony. Jamie and Liz were so accommodating and insightful to the small details that made our day special. So easy to work with. Thank You.
DJ Tim was amazing—he met with us three times to make sure he was meeting our needs and capturing our wishes. He was so easy to work with and we knew his energy was going to make the reception so much fun. He surprised us at the end of wedding and was able to stream in us reading our “Love Letters” to share with our guests. He had everyone on the dance floor all night. Even our 92 year old uncle!!
What a had a blast! Thanks for covering all aspects of making our wedding reception “Rock”

Gary Lucca is a rockstar!!!
I don’t write reviews unless they are necessary. We were fearful of having a DJ but at our venue there wasn’t space for a band. Every wedding we’ve both attended, DJ’s made or broke the wedding. I’d say, about 75% of them were ruined because the DJ tried to steal the show and were very cheesy. Gary was a rockstar! He played songs we wanted to hear and added more that everyone enjoyed. It was cold outside and everyone still wanted to be on the dance floor. He had surprises up his sleeves and they were nothing short of perfect! His timing was on point, his execution was perfection and he made our wedding day better than we anticipated. His professionalism and humbleness should be pointed out as well. Like I said, he was a rockstar.Our guests haven’t stopped sending praises his way! I will recommend him and his company to anyone who asks. I can’t say enough!

Awesome DJ and event group!
Gary from JLK events did an amazing job at our wedding and was great to work with! He held meetings with us via skype prior to the wedding, and again in person the day before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page and that he wasn't missing anything. He was very flexible with our schedules and easy going. He was also very receptive with our song ideas and the "vibe" we wanted for our cocktail hour and reception. Gary also gave suggestions and talked to us about what has worked best in the past from his experiences, which was so helpful! While playing music throughout the night he doesn't allow that awkward down time between songs which I thought was so important, too. Our wedding happened to be during a tropical storm, so we had to move things around and Gary did such a good job switching things up last minute! Lastly, he had a surprise for us where he incorporated our vows we said earlier in the night into our last dance song, which was such a special and unique touch that we will never forget. Everyone (young and old) had such a great time dancing the whole night thanks to Gary! All around an awesome DJ and I would definitely recommend him and JLK Events! :)

Dj tim is awesome!
My husband and I (recently married!!) hired DJ Tim to do our wedding and I can’t say enough about him!!! Being in food and beverage we are always busy and don’t have a lot of free time and he kept us on track with the planning of songs and made sure that we had everything done! All of my expectations were met and exceeded!! My husband and I loved him and our guests did too!! Ask for DJ Tim! I can’t say enough about him!

Beyond amazing!
DJ Gary was an absolute treasure. He ran our wedding so well, that even though people didn’t follow directions, he adapted so nobody else would have known it went wrong! He listened deeply on what we did and didn’t want! (No country music). He mixes our first dance song so well you wouldn’t know it had been shortened! He played songs based on dancing participation, and on our last song when we blew a fuse, he adapted again! Gary is the man! (He even captured a few little photo moments for us)

DJ GARY IS THE BEST!!!! If you are looking for someone to make your wedding the best time, you have found the right guy. DJ Gary was so nice to work with. We had a destination wedding, so planning from 5 hours away could be stressful at times. Not with DJ Gary. He made the process so easy and smooth. And that was just the planning. When it came to the day of the wedding, he made my husband and I feel SO special. He throws in several extras that were so sweet and special to us. He kept everyone at the wedding out on the dance floor the entire time. Our guests all raved about how much fun they had. I just can’t say enough about him. We love DJ Gary!!
