Poor delivery times & communication
JKM Ribbon and Trims committed to provide me with the various ribbons I ordered in a timely fashion of 4weeks. After a year's time, I have received only a partial order from the company. Communication has been very poor, with JKM Ribbon only responding to my queries & never contacting me themselves with updates. My order was based on a need at the time it was placed. I was forced to find another source (Faire.com) once it was 6 months in. I eventually accepted the original order after 6 months, thinking I would receive the whole order, only to receive a partial
order & still waiting with promises of it arriving. JKM Ribbon has not tried to resolve the problem to help me, only to satisfy themselves. They have given me a credit, which does me no good. The ribbons I originally ordered are the only item I am interested in from JKM. They are unable to provide them; after a year, I believe I should receive a refund. -

It took weeks and weeks and weeks to get my order. It finally came, but after reading the other reviews I guess I was lucky. I won't order from them again!!!! -

Order Unfulfilled
Order placed 4/13/2020. Was advised that order would ship in 3 1/2 - 4 weeks due to backlog of orders. Credit card payment processed. Checked website for status on 6/3/2020, order "unfulfilled" (7 + weeks later). No followup from JKM Ribbon as to when order would ship. CSR with JKM Ribbon got snarky when I advised that I had contacted AMEX for a charge back. Based on BBB complaints and online reviews, JKM has a long history of accepting money and not delivering product. Suggest you avoid. -

Don't. There are other vendors who are reputable AND will ship your order expediently. This outfit may not ship it at all. I'm out just under $200 - no ribbon, no refund. -

the ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever dealt with. One time I ordered it took them 2 months to ship the product even though it says it will ship in 7-10 days. Their customer service is the worst as well. There is no way to reach them by phone and the e-mail customer service person is like a robot. I have just waited 28 days for my order and when I emailed them to ask where it is, they said it will be several more weeks to ship unless I pay UPS overnight delivery!!! If I am going to pay UPS overnight delivery, I don't expect to get it 29 days after I order it! So now, they are just holding onto it and not putting it in the mail and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. Our entire production line is at a halt waiting for this stupid ribbon. I don't care if I have to pay double, I will NEVER use this horrible company again. I don't know how they even stay in business. -

I too wish I had read the reviews before I purchased from this company...
Ordered ribbon on Sept 5. They never contacted me, so when I made an e-mail inquiry on Dec 4 was told that it is on back order. I requested a refund, but so far they are skirting my request.
At least they are responding to me on a timely basis, but they should be shut down! -

I was so disappointed with the service of JKM Ribbon and Trims. I found them to have the best price for a spool of bias tape that I needed, but the cheapest shipping option they could offer was just under $14. I ordered it and after waiting 7 business days I did not hear from them that my order had shipped. I sent an email and was told that it had just shipped that morning. I then got an email from UPS saying that I could expect my order a full week later. This was 2 weeks of waiting for a spool of bias tape that I paid almost $14 for them to ship. I called the 800 number and got no answer. I emailed with a long complaint asking them to allow me to return this item (they have a no return policy). The email I received back from them simply said "Thank you for your email inquiry. We do not accept returns". No mention of the 7 days it took them to ship it out, no apology, nothing. I will never do business with JKM again. -

I ordered fabric and trim for my wedding dress from JKM over two years ago and am still getting the run around. They have lied to me stolen my money and refuse to give me a refund or send my merchandise. Keep telling me they lost my emails so I have had to forward them to them and still in two years all I've received are excuses! Huge rip off! -

If I could have given ZERO stars I would have!! This company is awful. Do not do business with them. Ribbon was order over 90 days ago. Order confirmation stated it would be shipped within 16 days. after 30 days company was contacted. They replied and stated it would be shiped within a few days. Still no product, contacted again. Again told it would be shipped shortly. Still no product, contacted vendor and informed them I would need a refund so I could purchase elsewhere. Ribbon was for wedding favors and time was running out to make them. Vendor refused refund but still could not provided an estimate date of arrival for items. Had to dispute with credit card company for refund. SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! -

JKM's website states that orders ship within 7-10 business days, but this is a blatant lie. If you have a wedding within 2-3 months of your order, you probably will not receive your items in time, if at all.

We placed a $220+ order of brush fringe for our business. Their website says if your order is over $150, you can request that they expedite the processing and ship sooner. Being in the middle of a high volume season for our business, we asked them to expedite our order.
9/26/11
They told us our discount (from a coupon) would be reduced and we would have to pay $30 more in order to expedite our order to ship out within 7 business days. Since their website says 7-10 business days, we decided not to expedite.
10/18/11 - 4 weeks after ordering
After 3 weeks with no word of a shipment, I contacted them, at which time they told me my order was supposed to ship out 4 weeks after the order confirmation date. I had not been informed of this when they confirmed my order.
11/01/11 - 6 weeks after ordering
I emailed again and asked them to cancel my order if they couldn't fill it. They said our order would ship within 4-5 days.
11/10/11 - 7 weeks after ordering
Again, asked them to refund me if they couldn't fill my order. Again, they said "We expect to ship in a few days."
11/17/11 - 8 weeks after ordering
JKM emailed us, saying they only had "one brush fringe available" -- whatever that means. And what did we want to do about it? I asked for a refund again.

They said they would do as I asked and I can expect a refund "within 7-10 business days." Great. Here we go again.
As of 11/22/11, no refund has been posted to my credit card. When Amazon gives me a refund, it shows up almost instantaneously.
DO NOT order anything from this company. From our perspective, they look like a scam. They charge your credit card immediately, keep your money for 2 months and then say they'll refund you, which remains to be seen.

ZERO STARS -
Brides - stay away! (Unless you have 6 months to wait for your order and the patients to deal with rude customer service.) Per the website, regular ribbon can take up to 10 business days to ship. I placed my order on May 17, 2010. The order should have shipped no later than June 1, 2010. On June 2, 2010, I call the company to inquire, no one answers and I left a message. No one returned my call. I sent an email to the Customer Service group and received an email stating the ribbon would ship within the next 2-3 days. On June 4, 2010, I try to call (no answer) and send another email. This time, I'm told it will ship in 3 more days. Since I was getting married on June 12, 2010, this was not going to work for me. I had been communicating the entire time when I needed the ribbon and why I needed the ribbon. As I press forward to get it shipped, the representative asks me "when do you need it by." WHAT?!? Argg!
At any rate, I had to send some crazy emails to get the order canceled and get my money refunded. Then I spent my weekend running around town trying to find 250 yards of ribbon in the same color.
Don't be fooled by their low prices and "free" shipping. It's just not worth it!

Don't buy anything from this company. I ordered ribbon for my wedding for a sash. I was not given any date for delivery. When I inquired after a month, I received an email that I would be contacted within 16 hours. After almost a week, I received an email that I would receive the ribbon by the end of March. It is now May and I have still not received it. They have continued to say that it is on back order even though I was able to get the same ribbon from another vendor within a week. They refused to give me my money back. They have over 80 complaints with the better business bureau for delivery. I wish that I had seen that before I ordered from them. -

In November of 2014 I placed a ~$140 order with JKM Ribbon - my card was charged immediately - but I received an email that stated I would receive the items in 3-4 weeks. I did not receive the items, and 6 weeks later followed up with an email. I received what I now know to be a standard email exchange - an excuse for a delayed response (holidays, weather etc.), with an “expected” date of 4 weeks in the future. Each time the new “expected” date passed, I had to contact JKM Ribbon and received the same excuse-and-delay emails.
After further email exchanges where I explained that JKM Ribbon had in essence held my money hostage for over half a year, the company agreed to refund my money. At the end September (after again following up) I received an email that stated there would be a credit posted to my card in 21 days. After six weeks with no refund, I followed up with yet another email. This week (end of November) after more than a year has passed, I was offered a “repayment” plan by JKM ribbon - starting in a month (highly unlikely), for three months.
Of course, now digging a little further into JKM Ribbon it appears they have very few satisfied customers - most like me - appear to have their money taken with no product ever shipped and many list the same experience as mine (including being offered a repayment plan that never occurs). I of course, am at fault for trusting this company and should have disputed the charges as soon as this nonsense started. The Better Business Bureau gives JKM Ribbon an “F” - which is bad in the business sense - but quite frankly I cannot see how what they are doing is legal. I doubt that JKM Ribbon has ever actually sold the product I bought and wonder how many other products they have advertised and “sold” are actually sent.
If you feel the slightest inkling to order from JKM Ribbon, read a few more reviews - if you know anyone ordering ribbon (crafting, weddings, small businesses etc.) - please give them a heads-up. -

Product was ordered November of 2012. Product was never delivered. They kept my money stating that they do not give refunds even though they could not provide product. The most recent email they sent me stated that they are confused as to why I'm angry since I have cancelled the order and they have made arrangements for a store credit. This is the first time they have informed me of the store credit and how to access it. I've tried using the store credit and found that it doesn't work. I think that they are thieves and their website is just a scam. -

Never order from this company! I was told the delivery date 4 times and they did not deliver on that date. They will keep telling you it will be 3-4 weeks but it won't be. I eventually asked to cancel my order and they refused! It wasn't until I argued with them all day and filed a complaint with the BBB, and threatened to file a complaint with the attorney general that I got my money back. They were extremely rude and tried to tell me about 5 times I was not allowed to cancel my order. If you have already ordered and are looking to get your money back because they have not delivered, tell them to refund you immediately or you will file a complaint with the Attorney general in NJ. -

Actually would give this company zero stars. if you place an order, they IMMEDIATELY charge your credit card, then do not ship you product for a minimum of 4 weeks. This is unacceptable in online retailing. They do not allow you to cancel your order, do not answer their phone, and send rude "customer service" email replies. They have hundreds of complaints filed against them at the Better Business Bureau. I strongly recommend never ordering from this company. -

Ditto what everyone else is saying. I wish I had seen these reviews. I ordered bias tape from them. They charged my card right away but I got nothing. After multiple delays and excuses from them, I called my credit card company and disputed the charge and refund my money. These guys are either incompetent or crooks. -

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from this company. They are total rip off artists indeed.
I ordered silk ribbon roses that I was suppose to receive within 4 weeks.
After waiting 6 weeks I contacted them by email.
Their customer service was horrid.
I told them after 3 months of waiting and still not receiving their silk flowers that I certainly no longer needed their produce since I had to already purchase the items already from another store to complete my project.
They told me I would still have to pay for their silk flowers.
I told them DO NOT ship the flowers to me.. but after 4 months they shipped the silk flowers anyways. They were inferior quality and I ended up having to pay for them!!!!
They are one of the WORST companies ever - no concern for their clients at all. There are plenty of other companies with better products who actually care about their clients. -

This is the worst outfit I have ever encountered. Took my order in August, charged my card, and I didn't get my shipment until November. I didn't need it anymore, of course. When I contacted them (email only--no phone?!?) for a refund they refused me. -

To get a refund ask to see the back order from the vendor. Once I did that I threatened to go to the attorney general with a credit card fraud case. I was told I would never be allowed to order from them again.....like I would. -

WOW! After reading all these negative reviews I am disgusted these crooks are still in business. The State Attorney General should have shut them down ages ago. For those not in the know, this is exactly what the State Attorney General is supposed to do, Protect the consumer! Complain loudly and often about these theives to the New Jersey State Attorney General's office!

The worst company on the Internet to deal with!! What good is a good price if you can't deliver? Absolutely NO GOOD and BAD BUSINESS! I ordered basic trim for a sewing project and they emailed me several days after I placed the order that they couldn't ship for four weeks plus a day to ship. I was upset but decided to wait but after four weeks they still had no idea when they would have it and said atleast another two weeks. Are you kidding? They also charged my credit card immediately upon placing the order even though they did not have stock and was at least a month out. Unbelievable! Somebody needs to shut this scam down!!!!! -

"HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! I really wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing from JKM. It would have saved me money and so much hassle. Unfortunately I have had the same experience as other reviewers. I purchased $300 of wright's bias tape on 4/11/12 when they were offering a 30% off sale. My bank card was charged on 4/12/12. Their website stated that they ship in approximately 4 weeks. After not shipping my order on time they informed me items were on back order and would ship end of May early June. Then they said that due to heavy demand in packaging due to their 30% off sale they would mail early July. Early July they then said they could not offer me my already paid for order at 30% off but only at 10% off or issue a store credit. This means I would have to pay more money for the order I already paid for. I asked for a refund, due to the fact that my order was never shipped, but they refused. They also waited until after 90 days from my original purchase to inform me that they refused to ship my order. This meant that I could not dispute the transaction through my bank. I filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau to find out that there were already 50 complaints started that they did not respond to. I then contacted the FTC to report their FRAUDULENT business practices. JKM practices unethical business, renege on their product prices, has the most horrible customer service I have ever encountered in my life, and LIE to their customers!!"

I make wedding purses and try to give my customers the best prices and that is the reason I placed an order with JKM on 5/8/2012 for a 7/7/2012 wedding. Today is 8/4/2012 and I still have not received the order. Here is the sequence so far:
5/8 Placed order - Online invoice showed 3 week shipping time
5/9 Credit Card charged
6/1 Since I was going on vacation on 6/15 I bought ribbon from my usual Vendor to complete the order so that the bride would have it before I left. Even though I had priced based on JKM's prices I believe in giving my customers the service I promise. Tried to cancel JKM ribbon. Told no refunds.
7/1/Contacted them again. told it would ship mid July. She made it sound like it was my fault for placing such a small order ($130.00) I told her if they didn't want small orders to say so on the website.
8/4 As of today I have still not received the order and have once again written. Can't wait to hear the excuse.
No decent Company treats their customers this way. I don't know how they stay in business. What really annoys me is they send advertizing Emails every day when they can't fill the orders they already have.

This company is HORRIBLE! I ordered my ribbon early May. It was supposed to ship in 7 - 10 days. They charged my credit card. It is now July 31st, after my event, I still don't have the ribbon that I don't even need now. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!

It has been over 4 months and I have yet to receive my order or a refund. This company is not legit! You can't even get in touch with them. Only by email, and they give a different excuse each time. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Save yourself the headache and do not order!!! -

Do not do business with this company, I too am waiting on an order for white satin ribbon since March. Yes, I was promised a 2 1/2 week delivery. Nothing came, after complaing, I was told it would be shipped when it came it. NOT true, June still no ribbon. If you need your ribbon go elsewhere. Poor Poor service. I can not get a refund either. -

I ordered ribbon from them which according to their policy page should have shipped 7-10 days from the date of purchase. Note: My delivery address is located about 20 miles from their location.
Shortly after I placed my order they emailed me stating that they would ship in 4 weeks + approx 1 days.
I immediately cancelled my order.
They said they would refund my payment in 7-10 days. It's now 16 days later and even thought I have NOT gotten my refund they are saying that I have.
I had to file a dispute with my bank.
Worst customer service (or lack of customer service) I have ever experienced in my life!!! -

These people were outrageously awful. I wish I'd seen all these other reviews!!! I paid for ribbon in April for my June wedding. Well, it's June 1st, I have not received the ribbon, and I just bought ribbon today from a shop so I would have something to use to put together my favors. I am disgusted with their lack of response. going to try to get my back to reject the charge, but don't know if it's fair to waste their time with this company that judging by other reviews are consistently HORRIBLE. -

Same problems as everyone and now I may lose the 2nd half of my payment cuz now the invitations my clients ordered are overdue. However today I did get a tracking number - amazingly. But let's see what they ship though before I jump for joy. I can't beleive this company i still in business. I used them 5 years ago and got the same bad service. since they were still around, and alost #1 on online searches I thought they got their act together. NOT! DO NOT USE JKM RIBBON!!!! -

I should have read the reviews before I ordered from this place. All I can say is never again. I purchased my order March 15th and then I recieved my order in just yesterday was May 25th and it was a partial order. I contacted the website over 5 times asking about when and if I was ever going to recieve my order and the respond I got was would you like to cancel your order but as a reminder we do not refund your money and all sales are final.. So Please Dont Ever Order From JKM Ribbon..oh and to top that the colors are nothing like they appear on the website.I ordered neon colored ribbons and none of them were the slightest bit neon colored.. Also I reported this company to BBB..yes thats how crappy this place is... SO PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM THEM -

I ditto all the stories below and just wish I would have seen all of these before I ordered. I wonder if they have the "backorder" and "the best we can do is ship in about 1 1/2 weeks and use UPS 3 day (additional cost at our expense)" emails on auto reply to any inquiries.
If they had just given me a firm date or told me they couldn't ship at least I could have made a decision to find another place to get ribbon. Instead they made another promise that I naively believed and now I'm delayed by another 2 weeks.

This company is a complete failure. As all of the brides and companies have stated in their reviews you will not receive your ribbon and you will be charged in full for it as soon as the order is placed. I am still waiting for my ribbon that I ordered on 1.31.2012. I contacted the company wanting a refund because my wedding was on March 24th and they said no returns even though it was one month past the estimated delivery. I work in sales and understand that there are back orders but this item was stated as IN STOCK. It is the worst online company I have had to deal with and really wish I would have done a little more research before placing my order. They will ROB you do NOT place an order with this awful company. -

On March 9, I ordered 4 spools of Offray ribbon. Their web page states "7 -10 Business Days for
Most Ribbon, Trims & Related Products by JKM, Offray, Morex, C & G, Berwick, Wrights, and Conso and single spools of printing on ribbon." This is LIE. They sent email saying my order would be 3 weeks. But on
On March 10, they charged my credit card.
On Monday April 2, no shipping info or contact from them. I emailed them and asked for timeframe it would ship. They emailed me back and informed me it was back ordered and it would be an additional two weeks. Since that was after the wedding event of April 14th that I was using the ribbons for, I told them to CANCEL my order and issue a credit.
On Tuesday Apr 3 they sent email saying we'll get back to you in a day.
On Wednesday Apr 4, I filed a dispute with my bank regarding this charge to my card, but no product sent.
On Wednesday Apr 4, I found another online vendor who had ribbon, called them and they said they had it in stock, so I ordered it from them. I needed the ribbon to make the wedding booklets ahead of the April 14th event, very time consuming.
They shipped the next day, Yeah!!!
On Thursday Apr 5, I get an email from JKM Ribbon that they shipped my order that morning. After I told them to CANCEL it, it magically appeared.
I sent email back stating why did you ship after I cancelled? They sent another email stating,"All JKM Sales are final. We cannot cancel the order."
Well I called my bank again, and will let them deal with them.
It is a nightmare though that I didn't need in middle of wedding planning.
After some online search of this company, I found LOTS of complaints, very similar to mine. Also, an F rating with BBB in New Jersey. I am also filing a complaint with the state of New Jersey Attorney General. This company is downright unpleasant to deal with.
SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!

Absolutely do not order from this company. My case is completely identical to the stories seen below and it disgusts me to read these stories over again and watch as they continue to scam their customers. Not only was their business practice corrupt as I still have not received my product 40 days later (my wedding is in 10 days) but their customer service is indescribably rude as they continued to blame me for “not reading their policy” (which conflicts itself).
By their standards and practice, I could wait my whole life to receive my ribbons as long as they still claim that they are “back-ordered”. This is not what any bride needs leading up to her wedding so save yourself the terror!
I have turned my disputes over to the Better Business Bureau and my credit card company and hope for the same result that some of you have seemed to have achieved. -

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! I made two orders a month ago. They charged my card immediately, but I have yet to receive my order. I was prepered to wait two weeks, which is what their website says is standard. After 2.5 weeks, when I hadn't received a shipping notification email, I emailed them asking the status of both orders. They told me one had items that were backordered and the other was about to be shipped. When I contacted them last week, they told me again one of the orders was about to be shipped and one was backordered. It's 1.5 weeks later and I haven't received anything. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and am about to contact my credit card company. -

They are frauds. They charge your credit card and don't ship your item.
I contacted them many times inquiring about when my ribbon will be shipped; I heard story after lame story - all lies. Bt they had no problem charging my card immediately, knowing fully well that they will not be shipping my order.
When I finally told them to cancel my order, they said that I could not.
Well, I contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. I also contacted ,my credit card company that stood behind me and contacted JKM Ribbon.
I just received notice from the BBB and my credit card company that a full refund has been given to me.
Stay away from JKM Ribbon. -

Here's a summary of my experience so far:
I placed my order on June 12. None of the items said they were on back-order. The conformation email stated that my order would ship "in about 10 days."
On July 5th, I noticed I still hadn't received a shipping notification. This is 24 days later, so at this point, my order should have shipped two weeks ago. But I understand there are delays.
I them and they replied on July 6th, stating my order would ship within a week.
On July 17th I emailed again, as my order has still not shipped. At this point my order has been placed for 35 days (5 weeks), 25 days more than the original estimate.
I was told it would ship "in about 1 more week." At this point, I said I wanted to cancel my order. By the time the ribbon gets here, it would be too late for the even it was needed for. I was told I could not. So I paid 70$ for ribbon that will be useless once it gets here. -

I am beyond annoyed with this company. I have the same issue as the bride above. I need this ribbon for my early July wedding. They can't assure me when it'll ship....product was ordered March 28. They keep telling me that this is their policy....blah blah. That shouldn't be anyone's policy. No one should have to wait 3 months for some ribbon - unacceptable! Trying now to obtain a refund.
