  A Dream Come True

  Booking palms and place for my wedding is the best decision I ever made (besides marrying my husband of course). JJ & Alison were as friendly, helpful, energetic, charismatic, and brilliant from our first initial conversation to our very last.
  
  JJ & Alison sent over 1800 beautiful pictures from my wedding in such a short turn around time. They captured our day so perfectly. From every little detail, to candid photos, to stunning backdrop photos, they captured the day so well. They made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the whole process.
  
  JJ & Alison were also fun to be around. They bring a joy and comfort that is invaluable. Their photos are absolutely stunning. Not to mention they are couple GOALS. we are truly so appreciative and in awe of our experience with Palms and Lace. Look no further, they are what you need for your big day!

  Wonderful people and professionals

  Alison and JJ are wonderful people and professionals.
  
  First and foremost, our engagement and wedding photos turned out beautifully. Having 2 photographers allowed for multiple perspectives of each moment, and some of our favorite photos were from unusual angles that likely wouldn’t have been taken with just one photographer. Alison and JJ also captured really lovely candid moments of not just us, but of our friends and family. We ended up with over 1300 images of our wedding.
  
  Alison and JJ also provided incredible customer service. They were extremely responsive and returned any texts or emails almost instantaneously. They were willing to travel to a distant location, had flexible and reasonable packages (although they should definitely charge more than they do), and were really easy to coordinate with for our engagement photos, which we asked to do fairly quickly after hiring them.
  
  As for our engagement session, neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of cameras, but Alison and JJ are so pleasant and easygoing that we felt relaxed and even enjoyed the experience.
  
  On the day of our wedding, they went above and beyond. They helped to manage the chaos of our huge wedding party, searched for and found lost items, and gave us pep talks when we were feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Alison actually zipped up my dress and secured my pearl necklace when my mom was struggling with the zipper and clasp. She bustled my dress, made decisions about shots when we weren’t sure what approach to take, and was so incredibly kind in moments when we really needed objective opinions. Alison and JJ also navigated working with another team of videographers - which meant there were more people to avoid in shots and take turns directing the action with. We know they would be able to work with anyone in any situation.
  
  We cannot say enough positive things about Alison and JJ. We are so grateful and wholeheartedly recommend them.

  Simply the Best team and Family!

  I cannot thank JJ and Alison enough for making our wedding photo experience so fantastic. They truly were so professional and thorough. They knew how to capture the moment so well. I felt taken care of by them and it really helped with the nerves and expectations of the day. They were also so fast with getting the photos back to us and I honestly can't say there was a single photo that we didn't love. Truly amazing family to work with.

  Best of the best!

  JJ & Alison absolutely nailed our wedding day photos! They made us so comfortable on the day and really captured the energy of the event. We had sneak peeks within a week and a full gallery in 10 days! The photos are phenomenal. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with them. It’s really hard to plan a destination wedding without meeting vendors in person, but they made working with them a breeze. Communication was quick when I had questions leading up to the day. 10/10 recommend!!

  Wonderful Photographers

  JJ and Alison were amazing! They were easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any of my questions. We loved their energy and they were very professional. Alison helped me throughout the day with fluffing my train to even making sure I'm staying hydrated. They're more than your average wedding photographers, they genuinely care about you. Not to mention, their photos were absolutely stunning! We're having a hard time picking which photos to add to our wedding album at this time because we love them all! I would highly recommend JJ and Alison!

  Amazing photographers and wonderful people!

  I cannot recommend Palms and Lace enough! J.J. and Alison are not only wonderful photographers, they are such wonderful people too! Planning a wedding is hard enough, but trying to do it during COVID was SOOOOOO much more stressful. It felt like our plans were changing daily. But J.J. and Alison were so flexible and responsive every time I emailed them. They were quick to roll with the punches whenever we had any changes to our original plan. They were also so helpful with planning! We didn't have a wedding coordinator, so we relied on their recommendations for vendors, locations for the photo shoots, and they even helped us put together our timeline. Our photos were absolutely beautiful and were delivered so quick after our engagement shoot and wedding. I know some people wait for months to get their pictures back, but we had ours in just a couple of weeks. They are also so reasonably priced! The quality and amount of photos is unbeatable for what you pay. We plan to use them for all our family photos from now on and recommend them to all our friends looking for wedding or family photos. If you're looking for a photographer, book them. I promise you won't regret it!

  Best experience ever

  My husband and I had planned a beautiful north shore wedding and sadly had to cancel it due to covid19.... we went back and forth about what we wanted to do and ultimately eloped but I still wanted that “fairytale wedding” in the back of my mind. In speaking with Alison and J.J we decided that it would be SO fun to do a wreck the dress photoshoot. My husband loves hiking so we decided to hike crouching lion for our photo shoot and Alison and J.J showed up with smiles on their face and made us feel INSANELY comfortable (we are so awkward and really hate taking pics). We laughed, cried and got the most magical wedding photos ever. It was truly amazing and honestly made up for us canceling our dream wedding. I 100% would recommend using them for your wedding needs! We love love love our pictures and will remember that day forever. 🙌🏼❤️

  Being myself a wedding photographer is not easy to find a fellow pro for your wedding,- your expectations are high and you want just the best possible shots.
  When I found Palms and Lace team I immediately fell in love with their beautiful work. The images in the portfolio looked so organic and natural- exactly the style I was looking for.
  My husband and I had a last minute wedding and JJ (our photographer) was absolutely nice and flexible during the preparation communication.
  You know a wedding day might be a little bit stressful, even if it’s a small ceremony for two, and you want everything to be smooth and easy.
  I really appreciate that JJ was very punctual and arrived even earlier, so he had a chance to walk around the venue to find good spots for the photoshoot. He was so nice and easy going and we both felt absolutely relaxed during the photoshoot.
  The pictures turned out just fantastic, very romantic and full of real emotions. Amazing composition, great skills of seeing light and the posing style helped make our special moment be captured in the most beautiful way.

  Lovely people and wonderful memories

  JJ and Alison are wonderfully talented and professional. I'm so glad that we got to meet them at our engagement shoot because by the time our wedding came around, it felt like we were meeting up with old friends again. They were really easy to work with and provided us with tons of beautiful photos to choose from. If photoshopped images are your thing, they might not be a good match. They do candid and posed portraits with minimal editing. They really captured our day perfectly.

  More than you could ever hope for!

  We hired Palms and Lace to be our wedding photographers, and they were the best photographers you could ever hope for! They are husband and wife and together make an effective photography team. They were creative with concepts and location, flexible with scheduling, receptive of ideas, and heaps of fun.
  
  Communication with them was easy and prompt, which was important to us since we were in Sydney planning a destination wedding in Oahu. In addition to the wedding itself, we had a photo shoot in Sydney, Australia and an engagement shoot in Oahu. The craziest thing was we took photos on a Saturday in Australia, they returned to Hawaii on the next Thursday and we received our edited photos later that night! In Oahu, we took engagement photos on a Monday and we received them by Friday so we could show them at our wedding! Their commitment to giving us the best experience before and after the wedding was demonstrated at every step. We were so pleased with the photos, go to their instagram to check them out.
  
  They also made us feel so comfortable taking the photos that many people told us we looked completely natural in them. My husband also appreciated that the poses weren't too cheesy. They were unobtrusive at the wedding, but still managed to get all the shots. We had our wedding at Turtle Bay Resort and they were familiar with the venue.
  
  On a personal note, we also just enjoyed spending time with them and thought they were wonderful humans. By the time the wedding came around we felt like they were our guests. They genuinely care about their work and the people they work with. We would definitely call them for future photography needs or even just to hang out next time we're in Hawaii.

  JJ went out of his way to help me plan a really special photo shoot. I'm also a photographer, so when the time came, I asked for recommendations from my network, found JJ, and immediately knew he would get the shots I wanted. He went the extra mile and showed up early to make sure everything went smoothly, and he had lots of recommendations on locations. He worked with me for over a month to get everything just right.

  Gorgeous photos and super friendly people

  We were lucky enough to have Allison and JJ take photos for our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the result! Not only are the photos beautiful, but Allison and JJ were so helpful with recommendations and advice leading up to the wedding. It was also very nice to have them around on the day and they made us feel comfortable having our photos taken. JJ even lent me his shoes to walk on rough rocks when walking back from the beach after getting some sunset photos. Such nice people and talented photographers. We highly recommend Palms & Lace!

  Truly spectacular

  JJ and Alison are amazing photographers that are down to earth and super fun to work with. They took over 1,000 photos during my wedding and I smiled from ear to ear while going through them. They are laid back, but hard working. I loved having both their perspectives from the photos. They read your vibe and respond to what you want. I think they are well worth their weight in gold!

  Amazing people and amazing photographers!

  JJO Photo did my bridals and wedding photos at the end of April when I was in Hawaii. They were so flexible. It rained during our original appointment so we took half of the pictures in the morning, half at night which they changed so easily. Then on my wedding day when there were issues with my marriage license and my wedding was postponed about 90 minutes, they were completely flexible and came when the wedding did happen. They are so kind and the pictures turned out amazing, plus they were finished in about a week which was a nice surprise. ❤️❤️

  JJO Photo did my bridals and wedding photos at the end of April when I was in Hawaii. They were so flexible. It rained during our original appointment so we took half of the pictures in the morning, half at night which they changed so easily. Then on my wedding day when there were issues with my marriage license and my wedding was postponed about 90 minutes, they were completely flexible and came when the wedding did happen. They are so kind and the pictures turned out amazing, plus they were finished in about a week which was a nice surprise. ❤️❤️

  Seize the day!

  Been following JJ&Alison for quite some time now and their works are amazing. Until the day I decided to get married. There was no doubt I want them to be my wedding photographers. And so I inquired...They're very responsive in every query and they will accommodate your every concern. Even to the tiniest detail. They would even give you the best suggestions for you to brainstorm with your partner. During our shoot, it was last minute that we changed locations (*that they personally recommended*) and it was the best choice. They're very professional and they make you feel really good throughout your day. They're a team and they compliment each other.

  JJ and Allison were incredible to work with. They did both our engagement shoot as well as our day of wedding photography and we were overwhelmed with how great everything turned out! They were very quick to respond, extremely affordable, and so so so down to earth! We were very nervous about hiring a wedding photographer but they were the perfect team to help make us feel as ease! Its hard to find people who are so sweet and friendly but professional as well. JJ and Allison are those people! The edits from the wedding came back way faster than we expected and there were so many great memories that they captured for us! Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone! If you’re having a hard time looking for a photographer, you can stop looking :)

  We are so happy that we chose JJ and Alison to be our photographers. They listened very carefully to all of our needs and delivered exactly what we wanted. Alison was an amazing help with Hair, dress and many other things. JJ was very personalable and kept everybody smiling and laughing through out the day. Their advice- about florists, restaurants, pastors, beach locations, etc- was crucial in making our Big Day perfect. Book them for your wedding! You'll be glad you did!

  I am so glad that I found JJ and Alison as my wedding photographer. Planning a destination wedding from the east coast, I was extremely nervous about findjng the “right” vendor. For me it is more about having a true connection with someone who truly loves what they do and cares about my wedding. After the first conversation I had with JJ, I know I have found the one. JJ and Alison are simple the sweetest and kindest couple, and their love for each other and for photography is contagious. Most importantly, they have such artistic eyes to capture the most genuine and precious moments. The husband wife combo is perfect for covering the day from multiple angles. JJ has always been there for me throughout the planning process, even for things that are not directly related to photography. For example It was through JJ that I found my amazing videographer and a few beautiful hikes in Hawaii! Alison was with me the whole day and she took care of me like a sister- fixing my hair and dress, and made sure I enjoy the day without worrying about anything else. I wouldn’t have survived the day without her! Last but not least, they were able to deliver the photos a week after the wedding. JJ was so sweet that he sent us sneak peeks of the photos before the final delivery to “hold me over”. We feel like we have built a lasting friendship with JJ and Alison!

  Absolutely Amazing Photographers

  We absolutely loved working with Alison and JJ!
  
  When we decided to have a destination wedding in Hawaii, we really didn't know where to start. We didn't know where we should have the ceremony, what rules there are around getting married on public beaches, etc. JJ and Alison were beyond helpful!
  
  We decided to do a formal session the night before the wedding to help lessen the stress of the wedding day. JJ and Alison came early, stayed late, and Alison even helped me with my veil and pinning Todd's boutonniere.
  
  On the wedding day, they again came early, stayed late, were prepared with poses, and willing to do any of the poses we wanted. Our families and friends LOVED them. They were so detail conscious and made sure my hair, veil, flowers, lipstick, etc. were all perfect.
  
  They also did get our images back to us in about a week, and they were BEAUTIFUL! Plus, they gave us 900+ images total for the hour or so the night before and couple hrs on the wedding day. And they were all gorgeous! When I was shopping around for a photographer, most Hawaii photographers were closer to $3K for what I was wanting, and only guaranteed about 50 pictures. 900+ images were a dream.
