  The best music!

  Music is VERY important to me!! Having music at my wedding needed to be perfect! I didn't even consider hiring anyone else but Jim! I have seen him play and he is the best of the best. I didn't worry about anything when I hired him, I knew my wedding would be perfect! He is a DREAM to work with! He went above and beyond my expectations. I didn't worry for a second about his music, I knew it would be fantastic. He made my ceremony so incredibly special! Everyone still talks about how amazing he was! I couldn't imagine anyone else playing and being a part of our special day! Thank you Jim for making our day so special!!!

  Jim is a beautiful musician, a true professional and a delightful person! My daughter had a very small intimate wedding, and Jim's music set just the right tone. He was prompt, very self-sufficient setting up and he knew just how to use his music to make all the special moments of the ceremony and cocktail reception blend seamlessly. I was a little nervous because we did not have a rehearsal, but Jim nailed it with one 15 minute conversation on the phone the week before the wedding. His number is going in my phone for future events!

  Jim was absolutely wonderful to work with! He did a great job with our ceremony music, with so many options to choose from and sounded beautiful. It was also so nice to know he had everything handled and had no worries on my wedding day with Jim! Thank you!

  Absolutely amazing guitarist!

  From the moment we first contacted Jim to the his performance at our wedding he exceeded any and all expectations, going above and beyond every step of the way. His repertoire list is impressive and his ability to learn additional songs per request is amazing! He is incredibly talented. We are so grateful that Jim was able to be apart of our big day. He was flexible with the flow of our wedding and was readily available to address any questions prior to the event. We received so many compliments and guests were raving about him! If you’re looking for a guitarist he is hands down the best!

  Very Talented

  We hired Jim to play our ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding and he was amazing! Very easy to work with and accommodated some odd song requests we had. We mostly chose off of his play list from his website as he already has so many songs to choose from but he did accommodate a few requests. All of our guests were commenting on how talented he was and how much they enjoyed listening to him. It was a great way to start our celebrations and I’m so happy we hired him! Thank you Jim!

  Super talented, kind, and easy to work with

  We hired Jim to play solo acoustic guitar for our wedding ceremony after being so impressed with his performance at a nearby venue. He is as easy to work with as he is amazingly gifted. He provided lots of options for songs he already knew to get us started, and he learned new songs just for us because that's what we wanted played. He even sent us informal recordings to ask us about the tempo and approach to the song so it was just right! It really was above and beyond anything we expected, and for an incredibly reasonable price. What's more, we also asked him to accompany our teenage daughter on a performance during the ceremony, and he was super awesome about working with her -- encouraging and accommodating and made everything super easy and fun. His music really contributed a lot to the vibe of our wedding, and we are forever grateful to him for his hard work and support and talent.

  Jim Perona was the highlight of our wedding! I first discovered him playing guitar at a local winery and knew instantly I needed him to play at my wedding. He is kind and responds quickly. He learned the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to. All of my guests were raving about him and agreed he was the best part of my wedding. If you are thinking about a guitarist for your wedding, DO IT!

  A Beautiful Summer Wedding

  Jim helped create the perfect atmosphere for our ceremony. He provided wonderful guidance thru out our planning process. We were able to create the most special playlist for us and our guests. Many guests made specific comments on his amazing talent. He is incredibly personable, professional and responsive. We are so grateful he was part of our special day.

  Amazing! Highly recommend!

  Jim Perona is a class act! I am so fortunate that our paths crossed several years ago when he was playing at Adelle's restaurant in Wheaton, IL. We were quickly captivated by his music and his charming personality and love listening to Jim any time he is playing locally. Each time he plays is a treat (not to mention that he always plays our favorite songs)!
  
  We love Jim's music so much, we booked Jim to play at both our engagement party dinner and our wedding. As always, he was HIT! He took the time to learn and play songs that meant so much to my husband and I, and I will forever remember how he played as my husband and I danced our first dance. Jim's music touches my heart. I cannot say enough good things.

  Amazing Guitarist

  Jim came recommended through friends that used him and their weddings/saw him perform at events and we were thrilled Jim was available for our August wedding for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We had to move our ceremony indoors two hours before our ceremony started due to weather and Jim was able to pivot without any issues. His talent is unbelievable! Friends and family couldn't stop talking how amazing the music was. I highly recommend Jim if you're looking for a guitarist!

He learned how to play a specific requested song that my now husband wanted to walk down the aisle to. Leading up to the wedding, he sent us video updates of his progress and it turned out perfect!   10/10 experience with Jim

  I can't say enough great things about Jim! He is so incredibly talented and was so great to work with. Jim was able to provide beautiful acoustic music for our ceremony and we could not have been happier that we chose him to be a part of our wedding.
  
  I requested a specific song to be played, Jim listened to about 30 seconds of it on his phone, and then was able to play the song without looking up sheet music. It was so impressive!
  
  Jim has all his own equipment, all we needed to do was have an introduction call with him and he did the rest! Thanks for everything Jim!

  Very talented guitarist and extremely professional!

  We have seen him play on several occasions and then hired him to play for our wedding. He traveled out to Ohio for us and did such a beautiful job. He timed the music perfectly and played all of our requested music. I could not be more pleased!

  We were so lucky to have Jim perform guitar at our wedding reception! Not only was he a pleasure to work with, but he is so incredibly talented.   Jim Perona - HIGHLY Recommend

  Jim was incredible - he was so kind and patient with us, and willing to tailor everything to our specifications. We asked him for some particular things (announcements, music requests, etc) and he was so flexible and accommodating. He was perfectly communicative in the process and he offered us transparency by updating us on the progress of the songs he learned specifically for our wedding. His performance was outstanding, and our guests loved him too. We left the venue before our guests did, and he continued to play until the very last minute we were booked for, and even a little bit longer as our families were cleaning up at the end of the night! We were all blown away by his kindness and professionalism. By the end of the wedding process, he felt like a friend to us. We wanted our music to be personal and unique, not just another DJ - Jim went above and beyond our expectations. Can't recommend him highly enough.

  Insanely Talented & Professional

  We hired Jim to be our music wizard during the ceremony and cocktail hour of our wedding. My wife and I were blown away by his professionalism, flexibility, and range before our wedding day. Then the day came and Jim absolutely crushed it. We had multiple people come up during cocktail hour and dinner to say how beautiful the ceremony music was. Cocktail hour was my favorite part of the evening because as we spoke to friends and family, Jim shredded classical renditions of our favorite songs. People were legitimately blown away. If I could give more then 5 stars I would because Jim is worth every penny.

  winter wedding ceremony music

  Jim was a perfect addition to our special day. He played beautiful music before, during and after our wedding ceremony and during dinner. His play list is extensive from classical to rock. Jim's attention to detail of what we wanted him to play was perfect. He was very calm and relaxed during our planning conversations. JIm has a sweet demeanor and is very kind.   How to Plan a Wedding in Two Weeks...

  My now-husband and I found ourselves having to plan a wedding within two weeks due to the somber news that his father, soon to be my father-in-law, had only a few months to live following a cancer diagnosis. Originally, we had planned a small yet luxurious wedding at the Four Seasons on the Big Island in Hawaii. However, upon realizing our desire to have my husband's father present, we made the decision to cancel. Unfortunately, the Four Seasons proved to be less understanding; despite sharing pictures and notes from doctors, they refused a refund and even charged us an additional $4,500 for food and beverages.
  
  After sharing our story within the Naperville area, we received a recommendation to contact the Naper Settlement to inquire about availability. Not only did they have an opening on our original wedding date, but Guest Services Representative Nicole Szczurek went above and beyond, providing us with a list of her top vendors to help execute our wedding within the tight 2-week timeline. At the top of the list was Jim Perona, whom we had researched on social media and listened to his music beforehand, confirming that he would be our ideal choice.
  
  Upon sharing our situation, Jim responded promptly, committing to being our guitarist for the ceremony despite having another engagement in a different town earlier that morning. He assured us that he would make it to our ceremony on time. Jim collaborated with us on each song selection, alleviating our concerns by keeping the songs true to those initially chosen for our Hawaiian wedding. Not only was he accommodating, but he also had prior experience working with the other vendors, the officiant Nicole, and our photographer, ensuring a seamless wedding ceremony.
  
  Words cannot express our gratitude to Jim. His involvement in our ceremony transformed a challenging emotional day into a beautiful memory.

  We highly recommend Jim Perona to be your solo guitarist at your event.
  
  My husband and I hired Jim for our wedding ceremony, and we have ZERO regrets! We wanted live music that would be beautiful and authentic to us, but did not overpower the sweetness of the event. It became clear to us that the string quartet sound did not suit our taste or vision for the ceremony. From the minute we heard some of Jim’s samples on his webpage and YouTube account, we knew we had found the right sound! Jim plays his music with talent, passion and enthusiasm. We loved his mix of classical, country, pop and rock, pulled from a variety of time periods.
  
  Jim’s quick reply to our original email gave us all the information we needed up front. He built trust with us from day one, so we felt prepared for our meeting with him. When we did meet with him over video call, his enthusiasm for the craft was just overflowing. When we started throwing out ideas for a few special requests, he got so into the discussion that he pulled out his guitar and started playing around with the song ideas! Don’t you want that sort of excitement from your musician?
  
  Jim went above and beyond for us after we hired him. He sent us demos of music from his repertoire, gave his professional feedback on some special requests we were considering, and he ultimately did learn a special request song for us (It turned out great!!).
  
  On the day of the wedding, Jim was in place and warming up before we even arrived, and we did not for one second worry about the music the entire time. The ceremony went beautifully and his music was an essential part of it.

  Talented Musician for our video game theme wedding

  Jim was so great to work with. He responded quickly to our questions and I had a lot. He help and walked us through every step of the way. He also worked with us and learned to play some songs from our favorite video games that we wanted at our wedding. He played music from Pokémon, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and more.   Excellent guitarist!!!

  My husband & I hired Jim to play for our ceremony. He did a FANTASTIC job!!! I couldn't choose between two songs for my walking down the aisle song (bride). I had the idea of combining both songs and Jim made it come to life! He was more than happy to send samples of what it would sound like as well. It was beautiful!!!

  Run, don't walk, to hire Jim to play at your wedding! Jim played both our ceremony & cocktail hour and was absolutely incredible! Beyond his talent, Jim was so responsive, kind, accommodating, and just a joy to work with. He provided such an extensive list of songs to choose from, and was even able to play a last-minute request on the spot. Months later, we are still getting comments on how amazing Jim was and what a special atmosphere he created through his playing.

  Jim made our wedding day so special! He plays guitar beautifully and provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. Our guests commented on what a nice touch it was! Jim learned two custom songs for our wedding day. One was a rendition of a song that was special to my husband’s father - a man who does not typically cry was brought to tears when he heard it. Jim was fantastic to work with - super communicative throughout the entire process, enthusiastic, and professional. I highly recommend Jim if you’re looking for a unique touch for your wedding day!

We had seemingly endless guests coming to tell us how much they enjoyed his style and song selections. Not only that, Jim really had our backs through the entire process. When we couldn't decide on our cocktail songs, Jim put together a demo with snippets from a bunch of songs we were considering in a matter of days. And when it came to learning new and intricate songs from scratch, he was always excited and quick to share with us the beautiful results. Now whenever I remember our wedding day I will hear Jim's enchanting rendition of Iron and Wine.

  We are so happy we chose Jim Perona for our wedding ceremony music. He was so easy to work with when planning our ceremony playlist. He did a beautiful job before, during, and after. I hope to catch a future performance of his soon, he was just fabulous.
