The best guitarist!

We are so grateful we came across Jim! He played during our wedding ceremony & he is such a talented guitarist. He provided an amazing repertoire of music for us to choose from & was willing to learn a new piece of music for us. Being able to walk down the aisle to one of my favorite songs (Love is a Verb by John Mayer) made a special day feel all the more special. He’s punctual, came prepared, and provided the perfect musical backdrop to our day — a professional through and through!

I’d Hire Jim Falbo Again!

Jim Falbo’s guitar playing during the ceremony and cocktail hour at my daughter’s wedding was fantastic. He set the perfect tone. He is a wonderful musician and brought a crystal clear amplifier so his guitar was easily heard. Jim was very responsive and professional and answered all of our questions when we were selecting a guitarist. He has a large repertoire to pick from, and was also willing to learn a new piece the bride wanted for her entrance. Jim stayed in touch as the wedding day approached and kept us apprised of his arrival time on the wedding day. I would hire Jim again in a heartbeat!

Excellent guitarist!

We are so happy that we had Jim play at our wedding! He came as a recommendation from our officiant (Tom Armstrong) who has performed other weddings with him and we are so thankful for it! Jim was very professional, kind and responsive to emails. With his array of music choices we could pick songs to fit exactly what we had envisioned for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Everything went so smoothly and he handled the timing of the processional songs beautifully. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Amazing Guitarist for Cocktail Hour and Ceremony

Working with Jim was easy and a really great experience. He was friendly, professional, talented and had a diverse song book. All the guests loved him, especially my special needs niece who was enthralled by his music. I would recommend him to anyone.

Incredibly talented musician and wonderful to work with!

We could not have asked for a better musician for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour than Jim! Not only is he incredibly talented, but he's overall a genuinely kind and professional person. Jim was also very flexible while we navigated postponing our wedding due throughout COVID. Don't hesitate to book him!

Jim is an incredibly talented musician. He played for both our ceremony and dinner reception, and we lost track of how many people commented on the beauty and energy of the music throughout the night. Beautiful music from a professional!

Made our wedding magical!

Where do we start? Jim was an incredible addition to our perfect wedding. He went above and beyond in his clear and always prompt communication. He was great to provide updates and eased any doubts of his commitment and abilities. On the day of, he arrived early and was set-up in a jiff. He nailed each of the songs during our ceremony and transitions were seamless.
During cocktail hour, he maintained the perfect tempo and balanced our request of upbeat music with Spanish guitar hits sprinkled in. Lastly, he learned a unique song for us and played it with such gusto - it was the hit of cocktail hour that everyone keeps talking about. He was friendly with our guests and we strongly recommend him for any wedding ceremony/cocktail hour.

Truly amazing!

The best decision I’ve ever made was to marry my now husband. The second best was to hire Jim Falbo to play the soundtrack of our love and new life together. Jim is a consummate professional, magically talented musician, and was totally receptive to our venue and musical requests. Our entire wedding was elevated because of Jim’s fabulous contributions. I cannot praise him enough. Jim was wonderful to work with in the preparation Phase and spectacular to hear play through the happiest night of our life.

Excellent musician, very professional!

I couldn't have dreamed of a better experience with Jim! He was extremely flexible when we needed to reschedule our reception more than a year later. Most importantly, he communicated well, is an excellent musician, and extremely professional. I wish I had another excuse to hire him again!

Wonderful music

Excellent Guitarist

Jim is the best! He recently played for our daughter's backyard wedding, and we loved his performance. He had played a couple years ago at our other daughter's wedding, and we chose him again. He has all his guitar songs memorized, so he is able to play outside without worrying about the wind blowing sheet music. He excels at communicating with his prompt and thorough emails. And he comes early to the wedding to discuss when to begin playing and how the processional will go. We highly recommend Jim as a wedding guitarist!

My favorite vendor!

Having live music at my intimate ceremony was one of the most important things to me. Jim made the booking process super easy, and I was very impressed with the quality of his service. A Perfect Choice

When we started the search for a guitarist to have at our wedding, it was clear we were over our heads. When we found Jim Falbo and listened to a few of his recordings we were very interested. I reached out to Jim and he was very responsive and sensitive to our wants. We let Jim give suggestions and were thrilled with his performance. There were no issues in timing, logistics, equipment or music selections. Jim took all the anxiety away and handled his part like a true professional. I will absolutely be utilizing Jim's services for future events within my own company. Thank You Jim for making our day that much more special.

Jim's great! (August 2020)

My wife's a classically-trained singer (music is important to her) and her primary wish was to have a classical guitarist be the soundtrack of our day. Due to COVID-19 we moved the wedding from San Diego to her hometown in Iowa, with limited options. We found Jim Falbo in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro and, because Jim's so responsive, within a matter of an hour or so we had him booked for our date.

Easy negotiation of the contract, travel details and logistics. Pricing was totally reasonable.

Jim's amazing. Exactly what we had envisioned / heard in our minds' eye. The mood of the ceremony and cocktail hour was perfect. Great selection of songs to choose from and he even added one or two requests, including an accompaniment with our friend who sang.

So happy that we found Jim!

Jim Falbo is Amazing

Jim was incredibly responsive and flexible. He was able to accept the job to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour on relatively short notice. He was quick to send us a very wide-ranging repertoire to choose from which allowed us to create a perfectly tailored set list for both the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Jim was flexible in adding time to his original commitment and was very competitively priced. Jim also offered to learn additional pieces if we had a special song in mind.

In addition to our appreciation, we had many people come up to tell us how beautiful the music was during the ceremony and how cool the cocktail hour was with Jim playing in the background.

I truly believe Jim elevated the overall experience of our wedding day.

I would highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for music at their event.

Loved Working With Jim

Jim Falbo played guitar for our ceremony and was the epitome of professionalism. He responded to all questions we had in a timely fashion. He even invited us to listen to him perform some of his arrangements, to include the piece he arranged just for us per our request . He was punctual for the event, showing up well before the agreed upon time. He had a very large catalog of songs from which we could choose. We really appreciated the classy touch that having Jim play for us brought to our ceremony/reception.

Beautiful and special ceremony music

Jim was amazing to work with! From the first few emails we sent to the last, he was always very responsive and willing to work with our requests. He allows you to pick one song which he will learn for the ceremony (if not in his repertoire), and he played ours beautifully! We are so glad we found Jim and don’t think our ceremony would have been as special without him.

What a night!

There aren't enough superlatives to describe Jim and his skills: Mad skills, very easy to work with, flexible, and able to hit a curveball; we wanted to add a song not in his repertoire and - on very short notice - Jim was able to accomodate us. Jim made our night positively magical, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Would definitely recommend!

Jim was great! Super easy to work with. Willing to personalize the music but also easy if you want him to just recommend songs. Doesn't require a ton of prep time which is helpful when wedding planning. Music sounded beautiful! Also willing to bring a microphone for the officiant for free.

Fantastic Choice!

Jim was simply the best! He was so easy to work with and wanted to ensure our wedding was personalized and exactly how we envisioned it. When I wasn't able to find a song I liked for my bridal walk from his extensive list of songs, he suggested I find a song I loved and he would learn it! It was perfect :)

Jim's music was absolutely perfect for our cocktail hour. It completely set the mood. He played a wide variety of music and played flawlessly. I heard rave reviews from my guests as well. We had originally planned on having our event outdoors but rain forced us inside. I was a bit worried that the music might be a bit overpowering indoors, but it was exactly the right loudness and filled the space beautifully. I highly recommend Jim!

Hire Jim!!

Jim played at our outdoor wedding ceremony in July. When we were planning our ceremony, we met with Jim and he played us a mini-concert and helped us choose our music. He totally put us at ease. For the wedding, Jim brought his own speaker and let us use his microphone for our ceremony - it was absolutely seamless. The sound carried to our guests - even outside!

We LOVED the music before, during and after the ceremony. Our guests loved it, too, and had so many wonderful things to say about Jim, specifically. Jim has a huge repertoire. He played the songs we requested (some pop, Beatles, even AHA!) and learned a new song to play just for us. It was so beautiful and just what we wanted.

Jim is so talented, professional, responsive and nice! I am looking for an excuse to hire him again!

We highly recommend Jim. He was so easy to work with and exceptionally professional. He was there early, totally prepared with all the songs we had asked for, and played beautifully. We had several guests comment on the lovely music. The portion of our ceremony with background music went very long. Jim's response was seamless. He kept playing and worked in several more songs that were perfect for the moment. His work is a great value. He is a top-notch professional and charges less than most of his caliber. He even provided a microphone (and a stand at the last minute!) for our officiant, which saved us having to rent one. Thanks Jim!

Matt and I hired Jim for our July 1st of 2017 for our wedding. We found him through WeddingWire and could not have been more pleased. He was exactly what we were looking for. I couldn't be more pleased with Jim! To be honest, there are performers that are lower priced, BUT you definitely get what you pay for! Jim gave a wonderful performance, was easy to work with, always accessible and was very professional! He performed ceremony music and during the cocktail hour. Jim played for our wedding in June and he was brilliant. He beautifully played the song he learned for our wedding and most helpful, he managed to go with the flow as parts of our ceremony shifted last minute. He went with the changes and played accordingly and beautifully. Many of our guests also commented on his playing and professionalism. We highly recommend him.

My husband and I knew right away that we wanted a guitarist to play at our wedding ceremony. As I was searching online, I came across Jim Falbo, and I couldn't have found a more perfect musician for our day. He had such a wide range of songs from his repertoire that I had no problem picking out which ones would be the right fit for our special day! He was great to work with- very professional, fast in responding to questions and very reasonably priced! All of our guests raved about Jim and I am so glad we chose him!

If you are looking for a very professional guitarist to play at your wedding, Jim Falbo is the perfect option. He does all the classic wedding songs and he also has an extensive catalog of other options that may fit your ceremony better than the classics. Our guests thought Jim was amazing and he walked us through everything without any issues. He really was a terrific option and I am so happy that we selected him.

Jim did the most amazing job with our ceremony music. I originally was going to go with just playing a CD for our ceremony with a couple songs but we found Jim online, I went and checked out a couple of his YouTube videos and immediately fell in love with his version of "All of Me" by John Legend. I didn't want it to be cheesy having a song probably everyone had chosen but Jim's version is completely unique and BEAUTIFUL. It was one of those things that when you hear something amazing you get chills all over your body and I just said yes, we have to have him. I had been worried that my husband to be wouldn't have the reaction of "WOW!" when I walked down the aisle because we were going to do pictures beforehand and he would already see me but Jim definitely helped change my thoughts and I knew he would be the difference in getting that wow factor and my now husband said he was definitely holding back tears (and he never cries!) so I think that says something about Jim's talent for sure! I would recommend him to anyone, he has an amazing talent and you would be lucky to hire him! Thanks Jim!

Jim is an incredible musician with outstanding people-skills. Everyone came up to me to ask who our guitarist was and told us how much they loved the music he played. Jim is super, super easy to work with and just a joy to be around. He was one of the best choices we made for our special day and if I did it over again right now I'd hire him again.

Jim was such a pleasure to work with. He played an exceptional variety of songs, which was exactly what we asked for. We had many guests comment on Jim's talent. He showed up early, set up and started playing. You can tell Jim loves what he does and truly enjoys providing that extra touch to the event. We will be referring him to others and plan on using him for other events in the future.

We are so happy that we chose Jim Falbo as our musician for our daughters wedding. He provided wonderful romantic classical guitar music making their wedding even more incredible and memorable. Jim's arrangements are beautiful and he plays flawlessly. He has great communication and is extremely friendly. Jim's repertoire covers anything you'd want played or he is willing to learn new material. I would highly recommend him! He made our ceremony beautiful, simple, and personal. Loved him!

We hired Jim to play for our wedding ceremony and he was fantastic. Our ceremony took place at a small (historic) church in St. Paul. Jim's music filled the church beautifully and we could not be happier with how everything worked out.

Knowing we wanted a classical guitarist for our ceremony we found Jim online after he contacted us from a request we placed on gigmasters.com. From the start Jim was professional, very responsive, and available for any questions we had. He sent us a CD of his work that came in the mail quickly after we decided to work with him. This gave us a great foundation of music to review (in addition to everything he has on his website). Jim offered to learn a special song (of our choosing) as well, which is something we wanted going into this process. We decided on a song by the Cure which he was excited to learn and per our request romanticized it in such a way that it fit into our day. It was what we wanted and he executed it perfectly on our wedding day.

All of our arrangements/communications were done via email which was very convenient considering the numerous other things you are dealing with in the weeks leading up to your wedding. Even though we did everything via email, Jim was available by phone if needed, but he made things so easy.

On the day of our ceremony, Jim arrived well ahead of time to setup. Our church had no electricity aside from one extension cord, which Jim requested be in place ahead of time to make sure he could optimize his sound (if an amp was needed). It didn't take him long to figure out what was best for our venue and he was well prepared. On a personal level he was very professional, respectful, and kind. He came dressed in a suit and appropriate for our the importance of our event. Also, he had a good personality and was talkative with those of us in the church before the ceremony began. Jim offers incredible talent at a reasonable price and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to be a part of your event.

Jim was fantastic to work with. Not only was his musical performance during our ceremony beautiful - many guests mentioned throughout the night they loved the acoustic music - but he was courteous and easy to work with. As milestones arrived for our planning, he would help keep us on track to ensure he had what he needed for a wonderful performance. Thank you, Jim, for helping us have a magical day. Jim Falbo was wonderful to work with for our wedding. I loved the music he played at our ceremony. It was perfect. Jim was professional and prompt in answering all emails and calls. He helped me through choosing the music and even sent me a CD of some of his work. This was so helpful especially planning from out of state. Jim was amazing at our wedding! There was a last minute change that he wasn't informed of before the ceremony (sorry!) but he was able to handle it without any hesitation. We were so happy we had him play at our wedding, it really added that special touch we were looking for! I would highly recommend him to play at any event, as he is very professional, fun, and easy to work with.

Jim was wonderful throughout the entire planning process and of course on the big day! He helped us select great music for each part of our ceremony and was flexible about being ready to play indoors or out. I can't say enough about his skill as a guitarist or how easy he was to work with.

Jim is not only a wonderful musician, but he's also great to work with when planning an event. The scheduling process was very easy, and he was always quick to respond to emails. He helped us select the best music for our wedding ceremony and played it absolutely beautifully! Many of our guests even commented on how much they enjoyed the music. We felt very lucky to have him as our musician.

Jim was fantastic. He played guitar for our wedding on 6/14 and provided a beautiful accompaniment to our ceremony. Not only was he a great guitarist, he was super easy to work with. Emails always received a prompt response, he was very helpful in his comments on the ceremony and worked with us to provide what we wanted. As part of his fee, he will arrange a piece of your choosing not normally in his repertoire. I highly suggest taking him up on this. He arranged Raspberry Beret by Prince for us and it was fantastic! We were planning an outside ceremony and didn't know for sure that we could be outside until 45 minutes before the wedding. Jim was flexible and set up quickly as soon as we knew where we would be. He was very reliable and professional. It was great to have amazing music without having to worry about it.

I am so proud to call Jim a friend for over 10 years now. There was no doubt in my mind, always listening to him play different styles of music over the years, that when it came to deciding the ceremony music, that he would be the perfect fit for the wedding. I told Jim the songs that I wanted while the bridal party walked in and the song I wanted to walk down with my father. Other than that, I told him the style of music I wanted and told him to choose whatever he thought would best fit for the rest of the time. He did an amazing job, dressed appropriately, and was early for the rehearsal and the wedding! I could not have asked for a better addition to our big day. Thank you Jim!!!

I would highly recommend Jim if you are looking for some beautiful, tranquil music for your wedding. He earned all five stars. My mother found Jim through the University of Minnesota, and after viewing his website and listening to some of his music samples, my fiancé and I liked what we heard, as did my mother. Jim is very talented, professional, and passionate about playing his guitar, and he doesn't just play what he wants, but he was more than happy to learn new songs that we might want in our wedding, without us even asking. He even played a song by The Cure for me, and he did it beautifully! He is genuinely interested in making your big day special and unique to what you like. We had him play during our ceremony and reception. He was such a pleasure to work with and talk to, and there was never a moment where we were unhappy with him. He showed up at our wedding early and was ready to go when we needed him. He was well-groomed and respectfully wore a suit and tie, and was pleasant to everyone. He plays classic guitar beautifully, and it really made our wedding complete. We wouldn't have changed anything as far as finding a musician!

Jim was wonderful. I got many complements from my guests on what a great guitarist he was. He was on time, responded to my emails quickly and was very professional. Jim was excellent to work with and was very responsive leading up the our wedding day. Jim didn't hesitat to learn a new song when we requested a unique recessional song. He learned it within a couple weeks and rocked the song at our wedding! Jim was more than willing to work with us to tailor his music to the feel of our outdoor casual wedding (American Folk and Latin music).

Great guitarist for a wedding!

Jim was amazing to work with and even assisted me with some ceremony planning. I was a deer in headlights with my wedding planning and Jim was a great resource. His guitar skills aren't too shabby either!
