    Beautiful place to get married

    We worked with Amanda and she was amazing. She answered all our questions promptly. We walked through the entire set up. The staff were attentive and kind to all the guests and really made my day seamless. I want to thank everyone who set up the space and broke it down, who were amazing to all the guests and who helped me. You brought my vision to life.

    The Wedding of Our Dreams!

    Having our wedding at the JH Adams Inn was like something out of a movie! Or a bridal magazine! The Inn itself is absolutely stunning and the new remodel to their atrium made it the perfect space for us! Brynna was so so helpful throughout the whole process, answering endless questions from us and helping us craft our perfect wedding. Their staff made the whole process super easy and painless for us, we hardly had to lift a finger the whole weekend! The team at the JH Adams Inn really takes care of you and made us feel very special for our wedding!

    Wonderful Evening

    JHAdams Inn was a wonderful place to have a rehearsal dinner. Julie was fantastic to work with even though we had to change the date and with the challenges of the Coviid Virus. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed having the cocktail hour on the beautiful covered patio. I would highly recommend this establishment to host a rehearsal dinner.

    The BEST Reception Venue

    Having our reception at JH Adams Inn was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! My husband and I had a Christmas wedding, so this already beautiful venue, was even more stunning with its incredible Christmas decorations. My bridesmaids and I also stayed at the Inn the night before and had the sweetest time together! The event coordinator, Julie, and her staff were INCREDIBLE. They seriously went above and beyond throughout the entire wedding planning process and during the day of! They helped everything go smoothly and worked so hard to make our wedding perfect. Also, the food was delicious! We had a carving station and it was so good! We HIGHLY recommend choosing JH Adams for your wedding!

    Couldnt Be Happier

    This was a dream venue for my wedding and I couldnt be happier with the incredible facilities, service quality, and professionalism. The event coordinator, Julie was a saving grace so much so I had no need for an additional planner, she had it all covered! All of my closest friends and family stayed at the inn with us for the weekend and I have not heard anything but praise and awe. No complaints, it was a perfect day.

    Julie and staff were the epitome of professionalism while feeling like family. My event was beautiful! Everything we hoped it would be. I’m so grateful and I’m looking forward to another even more amazing event in 2020.

    Awesome experience

    Julie is by far the best event organizer anyone could possibly ask for. The venue is priced very well and honestly for as much as you get its priced low compared to other venues. Julie and her staff go above and beyond to the point you would be wasting your money if you hired a wedding planner. She will happily take care of everything from start to finish and make sure you're happy while making sure everything flows. We kept our wedding small and budget small but the result was elegant and looked more like a high dollar wedding. Will post some photos later on if possible. Only minor hiccup was an issue with the AC in the Kincaid suite but Julie was able to get a repair technician out within an hour and didnt hold up our day. She and her staff truly go above and beyond. Food was also amazing as well and will definitely be back to enjoy the onsite restaurant often.

    The perfect venue for our event!

    This venue was perfect for our event! Elegant and almost intimate.
    The staff was quite helpful and accessible before, after, and during the whole process.
    Everyone commented about our lovely evening. I highly recommend!

    Thank You for the Happy Memories!

    We are so glad that we chose the JH Adams Inn for our daughter's wedding reception venue. From our first tour to our menu tasting and all the details leading up to her big day, we were confident that everything was being handled with the utmost attention and professional oversight. Our day-of-coordinator, Julie Daye was a dream to work with and kept the lines of communication open with us and all of our vendors. This was especially valuable to us, because we live out of town. The food we ordered was delicious, abundant and served in a very timely fashion. I would return to the restaurant just to eat there again. All in all, the day came off without a hitch and was beautiful from the moment the girls began to get ready until the sparkler get-away. I would encourage anyone considering this venue to take advantage of the suites on-site as preparation rooms and overnight accommodations. They are truly lovely and well-appointed. Thank you to the chefs, staff and especially Julie for all the happy memories we came away with from our daughter's special day!

    Very cooperating and thorough

    We had a wonderful wedding at this venue. We hardly have any complaints at all. Working with Julie was a blast and a wonderful experience. Just need sign to tell people where to park.

    Our day was perfect!! The attention to every detail was flawless. Could not be happier with our experience with JH Adams Inn - it was beautiful, the staff were extraordinary, plenty of room for our 150 guests, the hotel rooms were perfect for our out of town guests and lastly...the food...AMAZING!!     What an absolutely stunning evening! There is not one detail that we would change. Mena, Melissa and the entire staff were so special to us, accomodated our every need and helped to make our wedding just perfect. Just take a look at the property. Once you're there, you can begin to see how incredible the venue is and what a beautiful setting it would be for your special day.

    We recently had our wedding at this venue, it was amazing. Mena is great. She will do everything in her power to help you and improve your experience. As a bride, I changed colors and my mind numerous times but Mena was there throughout the process. The food was amazing, many guests saying it was the best they ever had at a wedding. Would definitely recommend for any couple!

    The JH Adams Inn was such a beautiful venue and perfect for our special day! My husband and I renewed our vows there and it was wonderful! They had all the chairs and tables set up for us, they helped us decorate, and set everything up. They were very professional and when my CD wouldn't play the music for our ceremony, they searched on YouTube and found them! They mixed our punch together which ended up to be delicious! They set out beautiful wine glases for everyone to use and cut our cake for us and served it! I was very pleased with the service we received.

    We have booked JH Adams Inn for our wedding ceremony and reception in 2014 and could not be more impressed with the service this far! Leeann is great to work with and has been quick to respond to any questions we have!The venue was very well priced compared to other venus in the Triad. We had the pleasure of meeting Mena as well, and have been very impressed with the staff as well. We also had high tea here with our entire family and we were really impressed with the quality and the quantity of the food and tea! Such a beautiful venue and such great staff! If the delicious food is a taste of what to come at our reception we can't wait! Will update a review after our wedding in 2014 :-)

    I had a Rehearsal dinner at the Inn. All of the groomsmen and family stayed at the Inn. I would highly recommend JH Adams and all the services they provide. All of my guest had nothing but great compliments for the rooms, dinner, and staff. Melissa, Ben, and the entire staff were accomodating, kind, respectful, professional, and I could not have asked for more! They helped make my Son's wedding weekend wonderful and stress free.

    I LOVED this venue/reception site. I had actually just barely missed a Groupon but the rep was willing to work with my budget a little. Any questions I had, she was prompt in her responses. Any issues that come up, she would look into it and let me know what may have occurred. They are very polite, kind. Food from the restaurant for catering was amazing. We didn't know how to organize the food and they made it so we could have a bit of two options on each plate. I would highly recommend JH Adams. The wedding was gorgeous, the venue perfect and everyone marveled time and time again on how much they enjoyed it.

    I just had my ceremony and reception at this beautiful inn last month. We had booked a year in advance and every time I sent an email or called Mena or Meghan they returned it very quickly. They were both so great to work with. The staff was also very nice and helped in any way they could. Food was delicious and I got good reviews from my guests. Everything turned out so great. I told Meghan what I wanted and they had everything set up and ready to go so quickly! I felt like they went above and beyond to make our day special. Thank you so much!!

    The Inn gave me everything I was looking for. Mina, the GM, was awesome to work with; she knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. Meghan, event manager, was so amazing with staying on top of the reception and making sure that everything was done perfect. Mina and Meghan had the chef prepare two plates of food that was waiting in the bridal suite for my husband and I after the reception. The food was perfect, the tables set up exactly how I wanted, and just the Inn itself has so much detail the only decorations that I need was flowers! I only had one concern and as soon as I let Meghan know; she immediately took the situation under control without any of my guest knowing. I highly recommend not only the Inn for your venue, but for just a quick get-away!

    This venue speaks for itself!!!! We had our wedding and reception here and our guests were blown away!!! Not much decoration was needed. The intimacy of the venue speaks volumes. The Kincaid Suite was huge and more than we expected. The day of the wedding flowed as planned. Everyone from the front desk clerk to the bartender were very pleasant and attentive. Leahnn and her staff was superb!!! Thank you guys!!! If we had to, we would do it all over again. **Marcquisha and David**

    The facility, Mena, and staff were amazing. My only complaint was that we'd asked for a cash bar and ended up being charged beer and wine. It was a bit of a bummer, but the place is beautiful and the staff is phenomenal. Despite the hiccup, I'd recommend this place to anyone getting married in the High Point area.

    Beautiful venue for a wedding with 125 people or less, approx. I had my ceremony and reception there. I didn't have to bother with a thing... They took care of everything the day of. Wonderful people to work with. Check out their website. The pictures don't do it justice though. Located in downtown High Point, NC, the Inn is intimate, captivating, and airy. I highly recommend this location. The canopy area provides shade and shelter from the elements, and the architechure makes for great pictures. I loved every minute of it. It was not too big, not too small... Just right.

    The JH Adams Inn is an absolutely stunning venue. We used the Inn for our rehearsal dinner and it afforded a beautiful setting and great outdoor space. The staff was extremely accommodating during our meal tasting and they provided an excellent spread in order for us to make a decision on the appetizers, food, and beverages. The staff also arranged flower centerpieces for every table and we were able to use them again the next night at our reception. Overall, the food was delicious and our guests had an fantastic time. There were a few things that caused my mother in law and me some annoyance. The event manager was rather difficult to get in touch with (email and phone) when planning different pieces of the dinner. Also, we had arranged for candles to be on each table and they weren't, they forgot to bring out the bread/rolls that were included with the meal. After dinner was served, the manager left and the other staff members were left to attend to the event. Later in the evening, one of the wait staff sat down at a table with a guest and carried on a personal conversation. I felt this was unprofessional.
    With all this in mind, our guests most likely did not notice these things and the night was an overall success.

    This is where my Daughter and I decided to have the wedding ceremony and reception. It was absolutly the most beautiful place. We both new as we walked in the front door that this was what we were looking for. We should have listened to our first GUT feeling when the first appointment we set up with the person (name not given) and she wasn't there. This was like a roller-coaster. I don't think I met with the same person once. And to think we were suppose to feel good about spending our hard earned money on a wedding that we wanted to be perfect. They go out of their way to help you until the deposit is posted and things are on the go. Had I NOT already sent out the invites, even after putting the $$$$$ down on the venue, I would have cancelled this. They have a beautiful place to run, but the most unprofessional people working there. The food is absolutly the best and the staff under management level is ok, but the management is the worst. You would think with all the complaints that the corperate office probably gets that they would look into this. This place, no matter what it is bringing in could do so much better if they would look into the problemed areas such as the managment. It is ran very unproffessional, I can't say it enough. We had no contract signed at any time, They do a bit of hen scratch on a peace of paper and that whats you get for a contract or receipt ( unless after my issues things have changed). You will be charged with all kinds of hidden fees and deposits, so please get EVERYTHING in writing. Also you are probably better off bringing in and serving your own beer and wine or you will be over billed for beer and wine that your guest couldn't possibly have consumed. This Venue is a definet RIP_OFF!!! They take advantage of people, because they know once you fall in love with it and start the wedding proceedures your STUCK!!!!!! Be sure to have a contract (actual contract) filled out discussing all deposits, cost and fees. After going through everything I've been through and doing my research ( that I should have done ahead of time). I found a contract online, this was never used, nor discussed. What does this tell you about management. Who has a contract and doesn't use it. Be very WEARY and make a few appointments before takeing the BIG PLUNGE. You'll see I was right when you don't meet with the same person at least twice in a row and that will be the first sign!!!!!!! Love the place and food and for that I would give it 5 stars, but everything else poor, very poor.

    We had our wedding at the JH Adams Inn in August of 2010. We fell in love with the Inn at first sight, it is stunning. Everything started out wonderfully - they answered emails within hours, had answers to my many, many questions and were fabulous.

    The staff that started out so wonderful turned very bad. It started by not being there when we scheduled a meeting. Then not returning emails. Then 1 month before the wedding, we find out that they booked ALL of the rooms at the Inn the weekend of our wedding. There was a University moving in and a PGA championship in town. They even gave away our bridal suite. Luckily, the bridal party was able to stay in a historic house behind the Inn, but all of our guests had to stay 30 min away in Greensboro. They managed to relocate 4 roomful of people- but then when our guests called to book those rooms, they said they were all booked up... a serious lack of communication.

    The week before the wedding, I emailed Mena for a final bill- I included the guest count, amount of alcohol, etc. A week and 2 days later I got back a "rough" food estimate. I did not get a final total for the wedding until after all the wedding guests left and I had to personally meet with the staff to pay the bill, instead of enjoying my wedding night. Then they tried to overcharge us $500 for the facility fee.

    The bar tending staff was horrible during the wedding. We had 2 bars, and only one was manned at a time- which means we paid to have 2 bottles of each wine opened (costing us about $200) and not having anyone to serve them. They also put a tip jar out for our guests to tip them- despite us paying 30% gratuity included in our price.

    The coordinator, Mena, didn't show up until 4pm on the day of the wedding and left at 6pm right after the ceremony. She was less than helpful with dealing with the staff.

    This is just the tip of the iceburg of things that the Inn did to cause enormous amounts of stress for us on our wedding day. I loved the Inn, but was so disappointed with the staff. The food however, was fabulous. All of our guests raved about it. But they did almost run out of everything, even though we were 10 people below the count that we gave them.

    I don't want to sound all negative, but we had a horrible experience with the Inn. But luckily my bridal party and dj were fabulous and made sure it all got taken care of so none of the other guests knew what was happening behind the scenes.

    All I can say is, what a disappointment!! I had my wedding ceremony and reception at JH Adams on 8/31/13. When I first saw the venue I fell in love. That is the only good part about the JH Adams is it pretty- Especially considering it used to be a funeral home! I went ahead and made the deposit, non-refundable, before I discovered what a horror it was to work with Leeann! She simply does not know what she is doing and this only proved to be further true on the day of my wedding. The food we ordered, flank steak with a merlot sauce and honey walnut chicken was served cold, undercooked, and at best, room temp! My chicken was raw in the middle, so I found a server, asked for a different plate, and it never came. My mother-in-law never even got served! I paid extra money to have a remote bartender and neither of the bartenders knew what they were doing or how to make a drink, they could barely open a beer and hand it to you. Leeann was very rude, she was unprofessional, and I would not recommend this venue to ANY BRIDE TO BE! Stay away! Do not let the property fool you, although beautiful, the service SUCKED! They charged a 22% gratuity on top of all food and beverage charges! 22% for uncooked meals and no servers at all. I have so much more to say about this place, but I am out of time! Beware!

    We just recently had our wedding reception at the JH Adams Inn in June 2011. The venue is beautiful and the food (catered by their restaurant, Hampton\'s) was great. However, we were disappointed many times over during our wedding reception due to the disorganized, immature and unprofessional wedding coordinator at the Inn. \r\nUnfortunately, the weather for our big day was showing about a 30-50% chance of rain. I had inquired earlier in the week about a rain plan and was told by the coordinator that \"we would just pray that it didn\'t rain.\" That is an unacceptable response. It was further unacceptable when at the beginning of the cocktail hour a storm began moving in, and the beautifully set tables were in the path of the storm. When my sister-in-law inquired with the coordinator on the plan for moving the tables under the tent, she stated that despite the black skies, she would not move anything without the bride\'s permission, though she made no effort to contact me or my husband (who were enjoying time alone before the reception started). The entire bridal party (in their formal dresses) and the family frantically moved tables to underneath the tent. The storm pushed the dinner hour back about 1 hour, which wasn\'t a big deal, thankfully because all of my friends and wedding party were able to save the tables, chairs and beautiful flower arrangements from getting soaked. \r\nI had given the coordinator a detailed timeline of the reception at least 1 week prior to our wedding day. However, when my husband and I went to cut our cake (as per the timeline) there were no cake cutting utensils for us to use. It had been arranged that we were to use silverware provided by the Inn. By the time the coordinator was found and she was able to find silverware for us, our \"cake cutting song\" was over. How embarrassing to stand there in front of our cake with tons of cameras, unable to cut anything. For the rest of the evening, even though events were clearly stated per my timeline, the coordinator never lifted a finger to arrange for the bouquet toss, garter throw, etc. My sister-in-law became the point person for the night and thankfully handled all of the details, but was unable to enjoy the wedding herself considering she took on the role of \"wedding coordinator.\" \r\nAlso of note, there were two bars set up for the night and one was left completely unattended for hours where guests were helping themselves to beer and wine. This was problematic for two reasons, (1) leaving a bar unattended is against liquor laws and (2) the beer tab ran out much quicker than it would have had someone been staffing the bar the entire night. Wine was not served during dinner either to the tables or at the bar and the white wine was not put on ice. It wasn\'t until my sister-in-law checked with the bartender on the status of the bar and why it was unattended did anyone notice.\r\nThe biggest disappointment was that the coordinator never once apologized for any of the above events, but instead only gave attitude to myself, my husband and my family during the entire event. After we got back from our honeymoon, I called and wrote emails to upper management at the Inn to give them details of what happened that night. I was told that I would be compensated with a free nights\' stay and dinner at Hampton\'s however, I NEVER received a thing. \r\nBe prepared to deal with an incompetant coordinator if you decide to use this venue for your wedding day.\r\n

    This is the most unprofessional place I have ever experienced concerning booking a venue. First, the venue coordinater double booked our wedding suite with another couple therefore we had to push our date back by almost a month. She didn't discover this problem until 2 months after we booked the venue and could not be refunded. Then, the venue manager called the day before our tasting and said that the venue coordinater that we were working with was fired and she had never placed the order for our menu we were having at the tasting. I had given her the information and we scheduled the date all months In advance. Shortly after, I scheduled a photo shoot with my photographer and booked the honeymoon suite at the Inn as our set. I paid for my hair, nails and makeup to be done and the venue called me 2 hours before the shoot that could not be rescheduled for months (our photographer was very busy) to let me know that the a.c. was out in the room I booked and it was over 80 degrees outside. I was sweating the entire $500 shoot. A new event coordinater was hired who put us through equal amounts of stress. We went through a timeline that was completely off by over an hour on the day of our wedding thanks to their staff serving the food. The process took us 1 hour or more off schedule which we had planned with the event coordinater. Our photographer had to leave and we didn't get photos of my husband and I cutting our cake, or the garter and bouquet tosses. We had to do our exit in the middle of our reception just so our photographer could capture that before she had to leave. After the wedding the venue coordinater contacted me with a balance that she had to revise not once or twice but three times when I noticed inaccurate expenses (which by the way I had to calculate on my own because she has yet to send me a detailed account of where the over 10,000 that I paid them went to) now she is emailing me requesting this balance and ignoring my responding emails and requests.
