My husband and I hired Jessie for both our engagement and wedding photos. We both realized early on during the wedding planning process that the photography component was the most important to us, and therefore were going to hire someone who not only took great photos but someone we felt was the right fit. Hiring Jessie for our photographs was the best decision we made! From the very first moment we saw her website we were blown away by her photographs, her talent and passion for photography are evident in every photograph she takes. She took the time to get to know us and made contact with us via email/phone calls. We were a bit nervous for our engagement shoot but Jessie was very welcoming and made us feel extremely comfortable in front of a camera. She was an absolute dream to work with and made that day a memorable experience. On our wedding day she once again went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She was also extremely organized and even created a shot list of all individuals we wanted to take pictures with after our ceremony in order to make a timely and smooth transition into our reception. When we received our wedding photos, we were blown away by what she was able to capture and were immediately transported back to that special day. Jessie was able to capture the essence of that day and we will forever look back at these photos with the fondest of memories. -

Made us feel comfortable getting photographed
We hired Jessie to be our Los Angeles elopement photographer after scrapping our large east coast wedding due to covid. She was very responsive to emails and offered tons of possible locations and guidance for us to have our elopement, which was a relief since I was not excited about having to plan a wedding for the second time. She suggested the beautiful Leo Carrillo State Park which was a perfect location; it's on the beach but has cliffs so you don't have to actually get in the water if you don't want to. On the day of, she arrived promptly and clearly knew the location well. She told us exactly how to pose and guided us from setting to setting, which was amazing since we had never been photographed before. Getting the photos back, I am astounded how good a setting I didn't think much of (a random tree on the beach? fields of dead flowers?) looks in photographs. Thank you, Jessie! -

Jessie was such a joyful presence!
Where to begin? I have followed Jessie's photography on various social media platforms for years and years. I have always loved her beautiful phots and have enjoyed watching her personal and professional growth over the years. I wasn't convinced that I would ever get married, but I knew that if I did meet the right partner, she'd be my #1 choice for my wedding photographer. Well, as luck would have it, I did meet the right guy and we decided to get elope at SF City Hall, no where near Jessie's LA base. It was a long shot, but I reached out to her and my luck endured-- she agreed to shoot our elopement!
None of us knew what would come next. Our wedding was scheduled for March 13, 2020. In the week leading up to it, a global pandemic was declared. The situation was changing rapidly and we were unsure whether we would still be able to get married. Our luck held out just a little bit longer, and our wedding was allowed to proceed and there weren't yet any travel restrictions in place.
Jessie arrived in SF the night before our wedding. By the time she met us at the scheduled 9am start shooting time, she had already scoped out City Hall, found the best entrance, and planned out the best locations to shoot. She captured the fun and mishaps of us as we got ready at our hotel, was kind enough to actually drive us to City Hall in her rental car, and was taking pictures every possible moment she could from us walking across the street to City Hall to walking back to the parking spot after our wedding. There wasn't a moment wasted!
And for two people as uncomfortable in front of a camera as my husband and I were, Jessie truly made it all feel easy and fun. She gave great direction, knew what poses to capture, but also caught candid moments between poses. The resulting pictures and slideshow really tell the story of our beautiful day and the story of us.
3 days after our wedding, SF issued its shelter-in-place orders. CA followed not long after. We feel so lucky and privileged to have had that one perfect day before the world changed and even luckier that we had such a wonderful person behind the camera to capture it. -

Man, I feel bad for not writing this review sooner. Jessie deserves better! I saw her portfolio on Instagram and then checked out her website. Not only are her photos great, but she is a self-proclaimed introvert and oddball. I wanted to be her friend instantly. We booked her for both our engagement session and the wedding.
Here are four great qualities about her: 1) She responds quickly; 2) She puts you at ease if you've never had professional photos taken; 3) She stays connected with her couples through social media; and 4) She's willing to accommodate your needs. Hoping not to come off as demanding, I was nervous to bring up some items that I wanted, including a 2nd location for our engagement session. However, she was happy to comply, and we got some great photos out of it.
Again, I'm sorry this review came in late. We got married in March. We'll cherish Jessie's photos for a long time. -

Jessie shot both our wedding and our engagement photos. In each part, she put us at ease and got amazing photographs. She was so easy to work with. Even our guests told us they thought she was great! I would highly recommend her for your wedding! -

Jessie and her crew are AMAZING! I can't tell you how many compliments we have received on our wedding photos. My sister had a bad experience not getting the photos she wanted on her special day and we wanted to make sure we had the best...and we did! Jessie did both engagement and wedding photos for us and did a phenomenal job doing both. I definitely recommend the engagement photo shoot because it gets you comfortable with the camera and really helped us get to know Jessie! She made us feel SO comfortable and somehow managed to get the BEST photos on the day of, while not stealing us away too long from our guests. We continually look back at our photos and couldn't be happier! Every payment and contract was super easy to navigate through online as well! -

We needed to do a quick engagement shoot in California before moving to Minnesota and Jessie was great! When I found out my dream location had been altered she worked with me to find alternatives and we even managed to get some shots with the location I originally wanted in the background. We felt comfortable with her very quickly as she’s friendly and open about the process. The pictures came out great! We have a good variety of poses, lighting, and colors to choose from. Very pleased with everything! -

Perfect Photographer for a Perfect Day
I am so proud to say that I had the best wedding photographer out there! My husband and I spent hours researching, and it was worth it to find Jessie. She was beyond personable from the start, she worked extra with us since we were out of the country while planning, and she made us feel so natural and comfortable in front of the camera. It’s hard to find someone with amazing skills, AND good communication, but Jessie has both. The photos turned out perfect (and I am hard to please). Her photo composition, and editing style is all flawless! She truly captured our wedding day with perfection and ease. Her husband was an amazing addition as a second shooter as well. -

So much love
I’m not one to leave reviews, but I definitely read them and know the importance of getting the best idea of something before you spend money on it. I will begin with that and add that if you don’t pick Jessie as your photographer you are already starting your union off wrong. Maybe not, but she is amazing. I had a few crazy mishaps, to put it lightly, happen on my big day that could’ve very easily sent me off the deep end. Jessie was the only person to ground me and be the support I needed to get through. Talent as a photographer aside, she has a fun and loving personality and can make you feel so comfortable having your picture taken. She’ll pull emotion from you while having you engage with your partner, all while using the light and environment that’s available to her to work her magic. Like, she can make you look great in any lighting or weather condition, that’s how good she is working with her surroundings. I believe in her talent and professionalism and I praise the kind of person she chooses to be. She saved me on my wedding day and helped to make it a beautiful day to remember and not one that I would be down to think about. She works with her husband Gus when she requires a second shooter and they make an amazing team. Not only are they adorable and a perfect match, but they work seemlessly together almost as if they can read each other’s mind. You’ll be in amazing hands if you invest in Jessie, I can’t stress that enough. -

I hired Jessie for engagement photography and she was such a joy. She was totally willing to work with me to make sure it was the experience I wanted. She was knowledgable and happy to speak up when she thought the lighting or composition was better in a different area, but also very willing to make something work when I had specific ideas. She made my fiancé feel comfortable during the photographs - no easy feat! He hates having his photo taken, but Jessie had good advice and a joyous attitude. The final photographs are lovely. Everyone who has seen them has gushed over how beautiful they are. I cannot recommend her enough! -

Everything we dreamed of!
If you’ve found Jessie, you are beyond lucky, don’t question this luck, just book her!!
You think you’ll be super organised & together when the big day arrives, we were the opposite (getting to Griffith Observatory before 7am didn’t help but, was totally worth it :)). Jessie was so relaxed & knew exactly what she was doing and where we should be doing it, our nerves melted away.
We loved that even though she had shot at this location many times, she was open to our last minute request to shoot more around the beautiful architecture of the observatory than going into the hills. On the spot she had ideas & locations that gave us the most stunning photographs.
She has an amazing eye for catching ‘moments’, for example at one point we all stopped for a coffee (thats how relaxed Jessie made our day) and she caught some of the most stunning pictures through the window of the coffee shop!!!
I made a joke at our first meeting that we really only needed 1 good photo & Jessie clearly saw that as a challenge…we were absolutely spoiled for choice. Friends and family were just blown away to see our wedding photographs and many of them commented that it looked like we were the only people in LA that day, and thats honestly how it felt.
From the beginning Jessie was enthusiastic, friendly & encouraging. As we eloped, just the 2 of us, Jessie was the only other person involved in our wedding & we couldn’t of made a better choice.
Thank you, Jessie…now we're off to look at our photos all over again :) -

Jessie and her team deserve more than 5 stars. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them for any wedding!
From the start, Jessie was communicative, thorough in answering questions and so friendly. She is warm and kind - it felt like planning with a friend, not a vendor.
We were initially sold on how strongly we clicked with her, but our gratitude for Jessie was fully realized during the wedding itself. I am a very awkward person who does not do well on camera, but Jessie put me at ease and made the process fun and comfortable. Family photos were done efficiently, which was a feat with my large family. Jessie also had very fast turnaround! We had a preview by the time we got back to the hotel that night and we received the rest of the photos well before the end of the given time frame. I was impressed by how quickly we received the pictures, but moreso with the pictures themselves. They were beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Genuine, natural, journalistic pictures that captured the spirit of the night and who we are as a couple.
Jessie's talent is immense. If you're not sure about Jessie, just send her an email and talk with her. She's open and patient with any questions you may have. Any doubts you may have will be put at ease after the first email. -

Our wedding planner suggested Jessie as a photographer for our LA elopement. We wanted a photographer that would capture more than your typical wedding shots and Jessie blew us away by the shots she captured.
We are based in London and were travelling out to LA a couple of days before the wedding, Jessie was great at communicating and planning for both elopement shoot and the wedding day.
We had a skype call with her before we signed contract to run through any questions we had and for her and us to get a sense of each other to ensure the fit was right.
From there Jessie made it extremely easy with suggestions on location for the elopement shoot, including a guide on what to wear which was extremely helpful!
Considering we had only had one skype call and exchanged emails, when we first met Jessie she came across exactly as she had on the Skype and emails, down to earth and very easy to get along with. My now husband was not looking forward to the engagement shoot but half way through he admitted to me that he was actually having fun!
On the wedding day Jessie just kind of blended into the background and made the whole process so easy, so we were able to enjoy the day.
When we got the album from her we were blown away at the photos she captured and in awe of how she managed to get the shot she did. She captured the mood, location and experience of the day more than we could have hoped for. I smile every time I look at the photos and everyone that has seen them comments on how amazing they are more so they the average wedding photos -

Jessie is a rockstar. My husband and I really struggled with finding a photographer for our wedding--we heard from everyone that this was the MOST important decision and not to mess it up or we would regret it forever. (No pressure.) But once we found Jessie, I stopped stressing. We met with her and liked her instantly. Aside from that she was organized beyond belief with an impressive system for email reminders, invoicing, online payment, worksheets for important details, etc--all the things that can be annoying with other vendors. Plus she got our photos back to us faster than I ever imagined possible. So for a rational argument, she's professional, efficient and very reasonable on pricing.
But with the person who is going to photograph the most intimate moments between you and your partner, it's not all about rationality. On that note, Jessie is not just a business woman who cares only about getting a job done. She's really passionate about what she does and you can tell she finds real joy in being part of people's weddings. I don't consider myself especially photogenic and I get overwhelmed easily so I really didn't want someone in my face stressing me out on the day of the wedding and I didn't want the schedule of the day to be dictated by photos. Jessie listened to these concerns, took time to get to know us and then acted accordingly. She gave us space to be ourselves and kept the posed shots and directions to a minimum; I felt like we had lots of time to actually participate in our wedding which was great. I'll admit I worried that we didn't spend enough time getting all the shots with the right people, but in looking at the final results, Jessie and her husband Gus captured it ALL. There are all the great standards we were hoping for plus tons of funny little moments they got throughout the night that I think really captured our personalities (and the personalities of our friends and family) and the whole spirit of the day. I could not have hoped for a better representation of what it was like to experience our wedding.
One other quick thing to note: Jessie and Gus actually got a flat tire on the way to our wedding which sounded like an epic fiasco but Jessie still arrived on time and got to work straight away. Then at the end of the night, they were packed up to leave and on their way out when an epic dance circle broke out and they came running back in to make sure they captured it. These are some of our favorite pictures from the wedding :)

Professional Yet Personal.
Jessie did a fantastic job capturing us as a couple. We got photos done for our engagement shoot and they came out better than anything we had imagined. Not only did she capture “us” but also chatted us up, set the mood, played music, cracked jokes, and gave us perfect pointers along the way to ensure we enjoyed the process. Her spontaneity and openness was another asset that led to some great moments captured that we can keep and already hold dear. We can’t say enough awesome things about our time together doing the engagement shoot and can not wait to see the moments she catches during our special day. -

If you are reading this, then stop your search! Jessie is BEYOND amazing. After reading her bio and stalking her Instagram, I knew Jessie was going to be our photographer. We emailed back and forth, got to know each other a bit better, shared our favorite Office quotes and then we booked our engagement and wedding session! She was there to answer all my questions and concerns. This was the easiest and best decision I have ever made.
Leading up to our engagement session, I was freaking out because there was rain in the forecast. Jessie totally calmed my nerves by providing me with an alternative solution ( I still really want to do a in-house session). We lucked out and had the BEST weather for our session. Jessie was so cool and relaxed, and instantly made us feel comfortable. My fiancé and I are quite the awkward pair, especially in front of a camera, but Jessie captured the most amazing photos I have ever seen of us. I can’t wait for her to shoot our wedding!
I am so happy to have found such an amazing photographer. I have no hesitation when it comes to Jessie and her vision.

Right off the bat Jessie is AMAZINGGG. We saw her work and fell in love immediately. Throughout the entire process Jessie was kind, super responsive and made us feel so comfortable. We had her do our engagement and wedding photos. My husband and I had never taken photos before, so we felt super uncomfortable but she totally made us feel at ease. She delivered the most beautiful photos. Jessie also captured the most amazing photos of my mom, who has recently passed. They're photos I will always cherish and I am so thankful for that. I definitely recommend her and I will be going to her for any future photos! -

Jessie is THEE best out there. We found her through a friend who used her and I am beyond grateful she was able to capture every special moment. From our engagement shoot in Joshua Tree, to our backyard wedding. She did an exceptional job. I look at our photos every day and I am blown away each time.
Our first meet up, she was super cool and easy to talk to. Made us feel so at ease. I showed her my vision and our style and she exceeded it beyond my dreams. Her attention to detail was incredible. Throughout the entire process of wedding planning, she would text us and check in on how everything was going. She truly became not only our photographer but our friend.
Throughout the entire wedding planning, I never had to worry about my photos because I knew she would have everything handled. Come the day of the wedding. She arrived early with her incredible team ready to go! She kept us calm and captured the little moments I almost forgot. Even with our large, crazy family she was so patient and professional. We had about 180 guests and they handled them all!
Overall, I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with Jessie and her team. I love every single photo they took and will cherish these memories

Julia Sent on 08/31/2018Working with Jessie was a dream!! From start to finish she was professional, prompt, fun, accommodating, fair, and she felt like a friend! She answered ALL my questions (I ask a lot!) regarding prices, outfits, locations, dates, products, and more. Her communication was extremely prompt and when my work schedule made it difficult to arrange our engagement session she so generously helped to accommodate us so that we could have a stress free session.
Through our emails I felt I could get a sense of her delightfully fun personality and felt more at ease with the awkwardness I thought would ensue at our session. My fiance is NOT into pictures and I was so worried that he would be poker faced in all our pictures.
The session was not at all awkward, it was so much fun!! I left feeling more in love and more connected to my fiance. Jessie's cues and bubbly personality made us feel like naturals, we didn't feel like we were just posing for the camera, we felt like us! She sent us the proofs (soo many) soon after the date of our engagement session and OMG, she blew us away!! Her work is phenomenal. She captured emotion, smiles, thoughts, genuine laughs, all the right angles, and love. I think the hardest part of the whole process was narrowing down our photo selection because all the photos were favorites. Jessie is humble, sweet, and an incredibly talented photographer. Jess is a TRUE artist. I'm looking back at my pictures and I'm LITERALLY crying. You should not hesitate to contact her. She's humble, understanding, easy going, artistic, creative and more. I JUST HOPE THAT SHE BECOMES THIS MAJOR CRAZY LA PHOTOGRAPHER CAUSE SHE'S AMAZING AT WHAT SHE DOES. (but gives me a discount ;) She brought my vision to life and this is something my kids will see in the future.

Kelly Sent on 06/11/2018First of all, let me tell you that Jessie is SUPER awesome! She assured us that it would all come so natural! My fiance and I were afraid that we would be so awkward in front of the camera. However, it was opposite. Her communication with us was on point and made it so easy for us to have such a great time during the shoot. Second of all, our pictures turned out fantastic! I am in love! She helped us picked the right location, exactly what we had in mind and capture the vision we wanted in the pictures.

Why we wanted to work with her: Her portfolio stood out from the others. She does such a great job of capturing emotion in photos that anyone could imagine what it must have felt like to be there. Her style combines the people, the color, and the setting all in one frame-worthy photo (see 4 favorites from our wedding). We love that we can look back and see how happy everyone was and feel that excitement all over again.
Why we'd work with her again: In addition to her amazing eye and quality work, she's a wonderful person to interact with. Our first encounter, a cozy dinner together, was spent getting to know each other and our respective stories. She asked thoughtful questions to learn more about us, which made for a more personalized experience on the day-of. Our situation changed last minute and she flexibly adapted. What was planned as a small intimate affair ended up becoming a larger and more inclusive gathering. Jessie supported us through the change and documented the story well. We whole-heartedly believe that our special day would not have been captured as well had we not had Jessie.
We look forward to working with Jessie again once the next chapter of our life unfolds. THANK YOU JESSIE! -

Jessica Sent on 03/29/2018We had our wedding almost two weeks ago.... I could not have been more pleased with Jessie from Jessie Caballero Photography. From the first email she wrote back, I was like "yup she is the one!" Hahaha she was unbelievably great at all communication leading up to our big day and great at making us feel 100% natural. She allowed us many moments after our wedding and during the picture process to just take in the moment. And to be honest after the wedding when it was just my husband, her and I; was one of the best parts of my wedding. We all were in this amazing moment, where time stopped and it was just us. She made even my 5 year old very comfortable as well, which can sometimes can be a bit tricky. I could not have been more pleased with Jessie. She's just an amazing person and I'm so glad she was able to photograph our wedding. Did I mention about 2 or 3 days after our wedding we had about 8-10 sneak peaks of our special day and not even 2 weeks later we had gotten to see many more pictures (yes- this is March and also an off season but regardless that is beyond amazing!!!) Thank you Jessie, we could not thank you enough for providing these wonderful photos that will last a lifetime.

Tiara Sent on 02/20/2018So I know often times you see a perfect review and think this person just clicked five stars all the way down and they aren't going to give me the real deal. That is not the case here. Jessie is an absolute delight to work with. My husband and I hired her first to do our engagement photos in May of 2017. We had stumbled across her website and fallen in love with her locations and style of shooting. We had an incredible day shooting with her even though things seem to attempt to go wrong. (Think nearly running out of gas on the 110 freeway) Although traffic was terrible and a potential barrier to us getting the sunset shots we had imagined, Jessie knew the city so well she redirected our path to a location BETTER than our initial plan and gave us exactly what we had been dreaming of. In fact, it went so well we ended up hiring Jessie for our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding in December. My husband and I now consider Jessie our photographer. There isn't a question of who will shoot any of our life events. Jessie just does such a great job getting to know her clients and we feel like she really knows us. It comes through so clearly in every photo she takes. You definitely won't be disappointed!!!

Ashley Sent on 02/09/2018If I could give more stars, Jessie would receive 70. She was hands down the best vendor we worked with for our wedding, and that's saying something! We found Jessie on Thumbtack to do our engagement photos in LA back in 2016. We only intended on doing the engagement photos with her since we don't live in CA. But after our one hour session, before even seeing any photos, we knew we had to book her for our wedding. It was sort of like finding another soulmate--we just knew. ;)
(We were blown away by our engagement photos and still get so many compliments on them, by the way).
Jessie showed such enthusiasm and excitement in our wedding which is key for a wedding vendor in my opinion. She was also super helpful in the planning process itself; she even helped us decide on a send-off idea!
Oh, and if you're lucky enough to get her husband Gus on the project, be prepared for even more awesomeness. Also be prepared for your fiance/husband to be completely swooned. ;) They are such incredible, friendly, talented, and down to earth people. They were far more than our wedding photographers. I can't even count how many of our friends have added them on Facebook and Instagram because they are literally that cool.
Jessie gave us so many great sneak peeks after the wedding and had our entire album completed way faster than I had imagined. In fact, I got my photos back before my best friend got hers back--and her wedding was TWO months before mine. Gah!
We will forever cherish our photos. Aside from the pure beauty and talent of the photos, she is able to capture the love and feeling of every moment. Her candids are the best!
If you take anything from this long review, let it be this: Jessie Caballero Photography will forever be our couple/family photographer even though we live over 1,000 miles apart. That is how talented and amazing this lady is. I cannot say enough good things or recommend her enough to anyone looking for stellar wedding photography. She is THE best! <3 -
