Jess is truly the best! I cannot say enough good about her. Not only is she amazing at what she does, but she also makes it so much fun and takes away a lot of the stress that comes with having photos of yourself taken. Her energy and vibe is super calming and it feels like you're just hanging with one of your besties -- even my bridal party noticed and felt the same. My wedding this past weekend happened to take place during a tropical storm which caused a TON of stress. The entire day poured and was so windy so naturally I was on edge since my wedding was set to be outside and I had big plans for photos outside. She helped me stay calm and worked her butt off throughout the chaos of the day. Jess is going to be my go-to photographer from now on and I CANNOT wait to work with her again!!!! Do yourself a favor and BOOK HER!!! -

I wish I could give 1000 stars to Jessica Manns Photography! Haven't even gotten my official sneak peak from my wedding on Saturday, but from what she showed us, I know its going to be absolute ***MAGIC***. Jess is an absolute delight. She calmed me down when I was stressed about some delays on the day of, she was supportive, helpful, communicative, FUN, professional and honestly felt like a long lost friend to me and my husband. Not to mention that our engagement session was FIRE. We put our trust in Jessica Manns Photography to capture one of the most important days of our lives and I am so happy that we did. Jess is a GEM.
Jess is an absolute GEM! We cannot recommend Jess as a wedding photographer enough. While we were initially drawn to Jess because of her stellar portfolio (her photos do speak for themselves), it was after our first connect that we knew we had to book her. When assembling a vendor team for your wedding, it's so incredibly important to book people you are comfortable with and who's personality match your vision for the day. (After all, you spend a lot of the day together!) For us, we knew we needed partners who were fun, friendly and who could read the room. It was very important to us that the photographer we booked knew when to give direction and knew when to blend into the background and capture the magic of the day. From the very beginning, it felt like Jess was an old friend. She was happy to do our engagement shoot at our house so we could include our farm animals. Throughout the whole planning process, she was amazingly responsive and thoughtful in her replies. She answered all our questions and was happy to provide recommendations. During our wedding day, she and her second shooter, Lauren were the perfect team -- seamlessly integrating into the day's celebrations. We will forever cherish the moments they captured and are so grateful for Jess's patience, guidance and friendship throughout the entire process. - Leah & Matt -

Nothing mattered to me more than photos when it came to planning our wedding. I reached out to literally dozens of photographers, and I am so so happy I found Jess. Her photos are gorgeous, but her portfolio will tell you that. The reason you should work with her is because of who she is. She is incredible at what she does, and a genuinely lovely person.
Like, this is not her first rodeo folks, and it shows, and it means you do not have to stress about anything related to the process of getting your day captured for eternity, because she has thought of it, and will prompt you and will, most importantly, tell you when you're being a crazy person, but in a really nice way that guides you to making a better timeline and and better choices. Nothing phases Jess, including dogs with too much energy and maybe a little bit of anxiety.
You need a great team of vendors to make a wedding happen, and in my opinion, choosing Jess to be part of that team, was one of the best decisions I made. Her guidance was invaluable and her authenticity as a person is the reason we felt as comfortable as we did and therefore got amazing photos. I'd choose her 100x over. -

The best!!!!
Jess was the best part of our day. She was so organized and thoughtful, and the questionnaire that she sends is filled with things I never would've thought of myself that made the day even better. She really cares about her clients and will easily become one of your favorite people. She is funny and calm and always has such creative and fun ideas for pictures. She really captured our essence as a couple during our engagement shoot, and then REALLY captured the essence of our relationships with our friends and family at the wedding. Her pictures are perfect because they show who you genuinely are, instead of just formal prom poses. Honestly i was so nervous leading up to everything, and as soon as Jess got to the venue to start shooting I immediately felt better. You know she has your back. We love you Jess! Highly highly HIGHLY recommend. She is amazing! -

Best vendor to work with
I rarely write reviews so for me to write a review is a big deal. My husband and I cannot express enough how much Jess had played a huge role in our big day. Not only did she accommodate multiple times with engagement pictures and with covid, she did everything so seamlessly and professionally. She created a timeline for our wedding that not only myself and the bridal party followed but as well as all the other vendors. Our family and friends have expressed multiple times how amazing Jess was and how great it was having her as an addition to our day! She was so quick to respond to any and all emails or chats through Instagram. You can truly tell Jess is passionate about her job and we were so happy with literally everything she did. Since we’re not in the wedding industry we did not have a clue on exactly where or what to spend money on first. If I was starting over I would definitely book Jess first thing. Especially huge shoutout for not making me feel like a crazy person when “wedding guests” are out of line lol. Love Kevin and Tori 💕 -

Weddings are magical. If you’re looking for that magic to be permanently encapsulated in its entirety - look no further! Jessica is not only the kindest soul that I have ever met, but she is a literal gem of a human being. Like an old friend you love seeing again and again, she creates a safety net for you and your significant other through her thoroughness and creativity. Throughout the chaos of wedding planning, we were confident in knowing that Jess had walked us through our day and we were comfortable with what to expect from the timeline she provided us. Words cannot be used to describe how absolutely perfect our photos were (even our sneak peeks!)
Give your photographer creative freedom, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing (we did! We don’t regret it!)
If you feel that you’re “too awkward” for photos, I can reassure you 1000000% that Jessica will prove your theory wrong! Her fun-loving demeanor will put you and your loved one at immediate ease. Jess and her team are worth every penny. her style is vibrant and highlights the inherent light and colors in the space instead of filters or vignette effects. We don't like the washed out look that is frequently popular and wanted the colorful day we were planning to be apparent. Her style was just what we wanted. Jess was great not just at the photos but also guiding us through the process - feedback on timeline for the day, answers on industry standards, and generally keeping us on schedule with our decisions. She's got a great system going so that by day of she has everything she needs and you don't need to make any more choices. She really put us at ease and hanging out with her was a great time that happened to end in great photos. Would recommend for LGBTQIA weddings - she never messed up our pronouns or fell back into gendered language. In general, you'll get more than a great photographer - you get peace of mind because Jess will make sure no detail is left un thought of and she's so supportive in person. She's so communicative about expectations and she was always responsive to communication, so we never had to follow up or wonder. we got our first sneak peak photos in a week from the wedding in the busiest wedding season in years. a true icon! -

Jess was incredible! An avid professional who runs her own company. We opted for the package that included the engagement photos, and are extremely glad we did. It gave us a chance to get aquatinted and left no doubt that we made the right choice for the wedding day. Prior to, Jess reached out with a timeline that accounted for everything including lighting, travel time, and getting us to cocktail hour to mingle before the reception. She has a great sense of humor, makes you feel very comfortable and has a great eye for photos we didn’t even know we wanted. Her second in command is a fellow professional, who shares the same characteristics. They both had a way of keeping us on schedule, without making us feel rushed. Not only is Jess exceptional at her craft, but she maintains excellent communication, and checked on our mental well being before the big day. If she can plan around a pandemic, she can plan around anything. Jess ends up feeling more like, and being a friend. We love you Jess! -

We are ENAMORED with our pictures! Jess is AMAZING! I am absolutely stunned at how absolutely gorgeous every single picture in our gallery is. I am the kind of person who always forgets to snap pictures of important moments and I regret it later, so we knew that choosing a photographer was going to be a huge decision for us when planned to elope.
We can't say enough about what Jess has done for us. She is so accessible and willing to accomodate your needs. My husband and I agreed that we both felt like we'd known Jess for years as soon as we met her. I've never felt so comfortable in front of a camera, but she makes it so easy and natural. We really appreciated how she gave us directions without making us feel overly posed and still staying true to ourselves. We were already floored by her style, grace, and humour before the ceremony even started and then she somehow managed to go even farther above and beyond.
And last but not least, at the end of our ceremony when our officiant threw on the table the idea of jumping in the nearby creek for water portraits, Jess immediately said "Yes!" and followed us INTO the water on a whim. Her enthusiasm made us even more excited to take a chance at something unforgettable on our wedding day. She ended up knee-deep in a creek with us and was still 100% professional and continued to make us feel like the stars of the show.
Her work is MAGICAL. I have never been so excited to see pictures in my life. On top of everything, she is such a bright, beautiful, genuine person and that's exactly the kind of energy that couples need on their wedding day. Thank you, Jess!!! -

Jessica (Jess) Manns is the real deal from booking to receiving our photos and everything in between. Jess encouraged my husband and I to just be ourselves throughout the entire process and got the most genuine photos of all our special moments. She takes the time to get to know you and your significant other throughout the process. She really captures you as a couple and the love/weirdness/special bond you share together! She really helped me through the struggles of planning a wedding through the pandemic with love and support. She kept it together for me on the day of our wedding (when it poured!) and the rain stopped just in time for her to take the most amazing photos I've ever seen! She is truly a wonderful, energetic, fun, and lovely human. She cares so much about making your wedding day special and unique to you. Not to mention, she is professional, prepared, and serious about her craft. Her talent is beyond words and I'm so grateful of the memories she captured and spending time with her was a blast! If you don't book her for your wedding day/engagement photos/etc, you're really missing out! -

She’s Perfection!
Jess was the absolute easiest part of the wedding process! From the first time we chatted we knew she was the one! Her personality kept us laughing and comfortable the entire time and we clicked right away making two awkward peoples engagement photos totally natural! She was super responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire wedding planning process especially in a time when things were so unsure with covid. She was on top of getting the timeline for the day together and making sure we stuck to it making it so less stressful! Where to begin? Jess is absolutely amazing and incredibly talented! Words cannot express how thankful we are that we found her. She knows exactly how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We had nothing but smiles for every session. Jess was the first vendor to reach out to us during covid and made us feel at ease. We had to reschedule our wedding due to covid and she was right there helping us through the craziness. Jess is a FANTASTIC photographer, wedding vendor and overall human. My husband and I had to change our wedding plans due to COVID, and she was the first vendor we secured for our "micro" ceremony. The beautiful quality of her photographs speaks for itself - what she shares on Instagram and on her site is exactly the quality I received in my gallery. But more importantly, she is a lovely person. Easy to work with, communicative, always going above and beyond. In pandemic times, this is EXACTLY what you want in a vendor. One quick example of her dedication just in case you don't believe me... my father-in-law was hospitalized shortly after the wedding and Jess shared family photos with us early to help lift our spirits while he recovered.

There’s so much to say, I just need to figure out where to begin… Even before our first call/point of contact it was very easy to find exceptional work from Jess and determine this woman is TALENTED. Then, on our first call, my husband and I could immediately tell Jess was not only a pro, but easy to work with and genuinely connect with — so important when finding a photographer for your wedding! You’ll be spending A LOT of time with them on a very personal day, so it’s important you connect. Jess makes that easy, because she is the BEST.
Her packages were aligned with our wish list and budget (also important to be transparent on when hiring a pro for your wedding), plus we valued that beyond what we needed from Jess, we saw that she was a wedding pro dedicated to serving ALL couples from all walks of life. Her portfolio is filled with diverse couples in every way - this was important to us as people, but also showed that she understands lighting, framing, posing and editing. As a photographer, it can be tricky to capture two brides wearing white as they stand next to each other, or couples with very different skin tones to capture both without over or under exposing the other, but she does it all beautifully and flawlessly.
I can’t leave a review without talking about COVID and all the uncertainty this year has brought. In September 2020, Jess captured our NYC waterfront elopement. She also was able to join us for our pizza and beer reception at a local bar in their outdoor garden to capture the small “reception.” All of the images she captured were outstanding. In September 2021, we’ll be hosting another wedding reception (thanks, COVID) in PA with ~125 guests, and Jess will be there to capture that, as well. Throughout the planning and replanning process, Jess was very open in her communications, supportive of all her couples, and has worked so hard and with so much extra attention to each of her clients. We are forever grateful to her during this wild year! And we look forward to working with her again next year for a bigger celebration (hopefully). That all said, I couldn’t wait a full year to dote on her and share how incredible she is. If you are hiring a photographer, hire Jess! -

This review has been a long time coming but it’s high time I took the time to talk about my amazing experience with Jess. As a member of the LGBT community there was a bit of uncertainty about choosing a photographer for my proposal to my now fiancé. The moment I spoke with Jess I knew there was no way I would use anyone else. She was SO supportive when it came to helping me plan, going as far as to scout out the location for me since I live in a different state than the one I was proposing in which was completely going the extra mile and something I was so appreciative of. Jess sent me videos of her entire plan for where we could walk in, and the spot with the best background for the proposal which was absolutely invaluable and helped put my mind at ease about the logistics and location having not seen it in person myself. Fast forward, once the proposal was done I had a plan to go to a surprise family dinner at a restaurant right after but the proposal went quicker than expected and we had about an hour to kill before the reservation. Jess immediately came up with a plan to take pictures nearby in a beautiful downtown area without alerting my fiancé to the next surprise. We ended up with absolutely gorgeous shots all over Philly and every single moment Jess captured was perfectly “us”. She made us comfortable, she made us laugh and made the proposal so special and memorable. We were stunned at how amazing all the shots were and how many moments Jess captured. She’s professional, fun to work with, extremely talented and very structured in her planning. I can’t recommend her enough! -

Jess captured our wedding a little over a year ago, and choosing her was hands-down the absolute best decision we could have made. I cannot say enough good things about her, and I cannot stress enough the importance of working with someone you connect with. Jess was SO friendly, responsive, and helpful from the very beginning. I didn’t realize just how much a wedding photographer did, or how heavily you rely on them during your wedding day, until Jess was creating my timeline, making sure all the special details were photographed, pinning the boutonnieres on the wedding party, keeping us on schedule, making us laugh, assuring me that it was okay to wait a few minutes for the rain to pass so we could have our ceremony outside, telling us to take a few minutes after the ceremony to be alone together and soak it all in, walking us through cutting our wedding cake, and SO much more. I’ve been in other weddings, and this is not the norm. We cannot thank her, or recommend her enough! I not only felt like I was planning my day with a professional but with a friend. She knows exactly what needs to be done and her attention to detail is incredible. We heard from a wedding guest who used to officiate weddings that our wedding ran more smoothly than any he had been to, and that’s all thanks to Jess. She knows her stuff! I’m going to stop here, but I could go on forever. Did I mention her photos are INCREDIBLE!? -

Amazing!
JESS!!!!!! Let's just say that she was AMAZING to work with. Not only is she an amazing photographer that knows how to capture the most perfect ray of sunlight but she is a beautiful human. From the first day that we talked it was like I knew her for a lifetime. She was so easy to work with for our engagement session and really helped guide us through poses and help us get comfortable. Our original wedding date got cancelled and we changed it 2 more times. Jess was more than willing to make sure we got our perfect day and really did everything to ensure that the day of our wedding. Her and her second photographer, Lauren, were so much help and really made taking pictures fun and easy and we really enjoyed spending the day with them. Jess sticks to a timeline which allows the whole day to run smoothly without having to worry about forgetting to get certain portraits done. She is very professional and knows exactly what the wedding day/experience is like, so I trusted her opinions on what we should do or how we should schedule things. With all of the stress of COVID, Jess made this process much easier by just being supportive and communicative. I can't wait to work with you again!!! -

First of all, right after the initial phone call with Jess we knew she was amazing. She really got us and it felt like we not only had a vendor, but chatted with a friend! When COVID-19 hit and sent our plans flying, Jess was the first vendor to reach out to us and offer her help. We ended up eloping on our original date (6/12/2020) and only had Jess there to capture the moment- it truly was so so special and we can't thank her enough for EVERYTHING. We can't wait to do it all over again on our big wedding date which got postponed until 2021. -

We hired a photographer, did our engagement shoot and then wound up parting ways with her ALL BEFORE we stumbled upon Jess. So when we started talking to Jess, my guard was already up. However, in 5 minutes of talking to Jess we decided this was literal fate- Jess was hands down the best thing that ever happened to my wedding. She literally took us through a step by step process of how she worked, but the layout of the day was totally up to us. Jess didn't push us to stick to a "well this is how I shoot" kind of timeline- she prioritized and worked around ANYTHING that was important to us. (i.e- We decided that cocktail hour was something we didn't want to miss) so Jess and her team made it happen.
She calmed all of my nerves and answered all 3,000 of my questions. She made me feel more comfortable than any of my other vendors. I can't express enough how lucky we were to have her on the biggest day of our lives. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -

How do I even begin to write a review about this amazingly talented person!? Jess’s work is flawless. She is such a pro in her field and she has a true eye for bold, unique, and beautiful shots. Every single time someone sees our engagement or wedding photos they comment on the rich, vibrant colors, the clarity, the bold contrast, and the unique dynamic of the shot and it honestly makes us feel so lucky we found her! Jess is not only an exceptionally talented photographer but she is also a kind, silly, genuinely awesome person who will make sure that you feel listened to every step of the way and confident on your wedding day. She was so open and communicative from the first time we spoke about our vision, shots and ideas, and I truly felt like our opinions and participation in the process were of the utmost importance to her. She really worked to get a full understanding of the aesthetic and vibe that we wanted to achieve and she strived to make sure the photos matched our personalities, and that we got every important shot we wanted. I was also super impressed with her versatility and the wide variety of different types of shots she knew to capture; from candid, special moments to tiny details to stunning portraits. Wow, if you are considering working with Jessica Manns, DO IT! She is insanely talented and takes the most artistic and romantic photos. Moreover, she makes you feel totally comfortable and is so much fun to work with. She is always available via email, text, and phone. Before your wedding day, she sends a questionnaire that helps you plan out all the photos you should take (e.g. family photos, bride and groom photos, wedding party photos) and keeps you super organized. Along with taking amazing photos, she helped my husband and I put together the timeline for our wedding which was invaluable. Before she left, she gave my husband and I Polaroids from our wedding day in a little frame. It was so sweet!! I would work with her again and again. -

We found Jess while at the Lovesick Expo and happened to win a certificate from her, and we are so glad we did because she was PERFECT from beginning to end. Jessica was very responsive to us and friendly the whole time. She made us feel comfortable with who we are, and accepting of us. We never felt judged in front of the camera, which was very important to us since we are an introverted couple for the most part. I felt beautiful in every photo she sent, and I am so happy with how they came out so far (just have sneak peeks! CANNOT WAIT to see the rest). She even gave us a little surprise of some Polaroid pictures from the wedding that night, which was so cute!
Jessica is friendly, accommodating, and like a friend who will give you encouragement and advice when you need it in the midst of your bridal panic. I would recommend her to anyone who is getting married. The money is well worth the outcome. -

If you are looking/thinking about doing a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift for your future husband, I highly recommend contacting Jess Manns!!! Jess was easy to communicate with via email, responded quickly to emails, made me feel comfortable during the shoot, and was just so down to earth. I was SOOOOO happy with how my photos and book turned out. And my husband definitely enjoyed it too! I went with Jess’ package that included hair and make-up, as well as getting to pick the location of the shoot. I strongly recommend this package if you’re not good at doing your own hair/make-up like myself or if you want to do an outdoor photo shoot like I did! You really can’t go wrong with picking Jess to do your boudoir shoot!!!! -

Can you find photographers that are cheaper, sure, but you won’t want to! We went into our wedding knowing that we were going to “splurge” on our photographer and went on a hunt for the perfect fit for us. We found that in Jess! We absolutely fell in love with her portfolio online and knew it was the perfect fit after face timing with her. Jess is very laid back in a manner that makes you comfortable, but very professional and organized! The girl knows what she’s doing and has the help of other very talented second shooters. We didn’t want posed photos and absolutely love how our photos for both our engagement session (complimentary btw!) and our wedding came out! We only have our “sneak peek” from the wedding back so far, but can honestly say both sets are her own artistic style and more of a candid feel and are perfect. Not only are we in love with our photos, but everyone else who sees them is too – we’ve had multiple people make comments that they are the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen and that some belong on a magazine cover. Aside from her obvious shooting skills, Jess is also a rockstar at assisting with other wedding stuff – she gave us advice on videographers and pointed us in the right direction, but without pushing anything. She also helped us draft up our initial day-of timeline. Another HUGE plus was that she was one of the first photographers we spoke to that did not push back on NOT doing a first look! We were so lucky to have found her and able to book her for our special day. Her photos are just beautiful! -

Daniella Sent on 04/16/2018IMPOSSIBLE to put into words what Jess has done for us. I feel SO SO SO lucky we found her. I knew we needed Jess by her style of photography, and then I was sold when we spoke on the phone and it felt like we'd be BFF forever. She's so laid back, but so aware of who you are as a couple, and how she's going to capture that. Aside from her insane talent, she's funny and authentic and supportive. She wants the best day for YOU. You don't really know that about a vendor until you know them, so I am telling you, Jess will capture your wedding/engagement/whatever in the best way possible. I keep telling my husband (!!) we are so lucky we found Jess, because she should be booked for years out, she's simply the best. Friends & family are blown away by her work, and I'm so proud that she was our photographer.
