Emily & Matt Wedding- 2/8/25

Matt and I got engaged on November 1, 2024 and had a quick engagement (3 months). An engagement during an already busy time of year with the holidays, we were able to enjoy our engagement bliss and never stressed over wedding planning! We are so happy, lucky, and blessed to have found Jessica! A wedding planner that became a friend. After our discovery call, Jessica immediately went to work. The relationships that she has with all her vendors is next to none. We gave her details/pictures of what we thought would be our ideal wedding and what we got blew our expectations out of the water. My first time ever to Puerto Rico couldn't have been more perfect!! Thank you so much Jessica!! We look forward to our next visit to Puerto Rico and can't wait to see you again!

Wedding Saver!!

Jessica's knowledge, attention to detail, and manner is everything!

We cannot say enough good things about Jessica and her company. From the first day to even after the wedding she has truly made our experience a dream. Her knowledge of vendors, events and all things wedding, plus her willingness, professionalism, tact, attention to detail, organization and patience made all the difference. I really did not have to worry about a thing with her by our side. We felt guided and well advised throughout the entire year and enjoyed every minute thanks to Jess and her team.

I would like to begin by saying that we are beyond satisfied with Jessica’s amazing service. Thanks to her, our wedding day was perfect! She is always ahead of the game and knows her trade exceptionally well. She was very kind, humble and loving and made every meeting and every decision easy-going. She is great at listening and offers choices about everything to make sure no detail is left out (even things you have never thought of!). She is detail oriented and honest to the bone, she will always be looking out for you as a couple to make sure your day goes off without a hitch. If you choose her, you will NOT regret it! Bride - best choice I made was working with Jessica!

Jessica is a rainmaker. She recommended the best vendors for our event. She was responsive and got things done. We hit a lot of barriers with the venue being unresponsive and uncooperative. She followed up with them, negotiated with them, and made sure everyone did their jobs. Se orquestarted our wedding day like a champ, without a hiccup. Everyone had an amazing time and the day ran smoothly. She managed the errors the venue made with the dietary restrictions plates and them forgetting to feed my vendors, without me having to get involved and allowing me to enjoy my wedding day, drama free.
My grandma is 88 and she said this was the best wedding she’d ever been to and that she most enjoyed in her life! Our friends and family said they had never had that much fun at a wedding before. It was the best wedding our guests had ever experienced. For us and everyone lucky enough to be there, the wedding was amazing beyond expectations. We were able to enjoy it to the fullest because Jessica ran a tight ship and kept it all together, even the things that went wrong, she fixed behind the scenes and let us know about it after the wedding was over.
I absolutely recommend Jessica to manage your wedding. I live in NY and to have Jessica in PR -making things happen, was a true blessing.

Jessica is an excellent coordinator

I would have to describe Jessica as an Angel send from heaven. I originally had hired another coordinator in which a couple of months this into wedding planning I realized he was not the person I wanted to coordinate my wedding. Jessica came to my rescue and took over everything with such professionalism. She referred me to amazing vendors who all made my special day and unforgettable one. Everything went flawless!
My wedding was not a simple wedding, it entailed lots of details including: costume made floating cake, sincronizad lighting, technical audio visual, dry ice, flamenco dancers, plena dancers, vejigantes, and not to mention 200 guests (majority from different states of the USA).
Jessica managed to maintain everything in order, even after having to pospone our wedding 1 year due to Hurricane Maria. She communicated with vendors routinely, found and answer to everything that we asked for, and the day of the event we had to worry about nothing but ourselves.
It was such a smooth event, and we owe it all to her professionalisms and expertise. She’s such a pleasant loving individual, we can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done. We love you Jessica, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Hiring Jessica was the best decision we made, she went above and beyond! Words cannot describe how impressed we are by Jessica’s work ethic and dedication. Our wedding was planned for last year, but after hurricane Maria we had to re-schedule. Jessica contacted me within a week after the hurricane (which I was not expecting), and worked hard with limited resources to re-book and plan everything from scratch. After the hurricane, this coordinator went in person to venues and vendors, when there was lack of cellphone reception and limited fuel to secure a new venue/wedding date. Who does this?! Her work dedication is incredible… Jessica truly cares about her clients, and will do anything in her hands to coordinate the wedding of your dreams. She will answer text messages at any time, she knows the best/most responsible vendors on the island, she will take care of EACH one of your guests on the wedding day, and she will treat you like a lifelong friend. We feel humbled and grateful to had her as our wedding planner, I am still in shock of how beautiful our wedding was. If you are considering hiring Jessica, DO IT and don’t look back! You are hiring the BEST wedding coordinator in the Island, and your wedding will be the most amazing event you will ever experience!

I could say I was blessed! I live in Chicago and wanted to get married in San Juan since I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. On my 1st trip to the island to see couple venues on my own with my mom I met her in one of them. I asked for her business card and that was it. It was love at 1st sight. LOL. The moment I started talking to her something about her told me that she was the one! She was very professional and even gave me a couple tips about some of the venues. The fact that she was able and willing to help me without signing a contract yet told me about her...Then once I hired her as my official wedding planner I noticed she was hard working women, responsible, and caring. We went above and beyond! I would recommend her to anyone a 100%. The fact that she is very flexible is a mayor plus! Especial those interested in having a destination wedding. She helped me and saved me from a lot stress. Because of my job I didn't even have time to plan my own wedding. She is the best! We still keep in touch once in a while.

We wanted a New Year’s eve wedding on December 30th!!! A very busy time of the year and she never said no!! She said yes to every new thing I wanted to do!! EVERYthing ran smoothly and on schedule!!! Every detail was perfect!! My wedding lasted from “the getting ready” ‘till the after party... she was there! Jessica and her team gave their 300% every minute from the beginning ‘till the end!

Would recommend her and her team 100%.

We had a great experience, service and dedication was excellent. We don't live in PR so it was so difficult to contact vendors and receive answers right away. After trying to plan it ourselves and having no luck we contacted Jessica and she put together everything right away. All vendors answered and gave us special prices. The way vendors treated us was so different of the first time we tried to contact them. Our decoration was so beautiful, the protocol was perfect, she was our master of ceremony and her words and the way she expressed about us and directed to the guests was so loving and professional. Our wedding was perfect, the planning process was smooth and relaxing. My family and friends felt in love with her and her helpers. I think she should charge more for her service because she worked more than she offers in her quote. It has been a while after our wedding and we still keep in touch and remember her with love. Thank you for making our day perfect and unique.

Estamos eternamente agradecidos con el excelente servicio que Jessica y su staff nos brindaron. Sobre pasaron nuestras expectativas. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner! Jessica could have charged 10x more for the service she provides. She is extremely responsive and helpful. She will provide many options and work with your budget so you get exactly what you want. I honestly couldn't have done this wedding without her. She hadn't even worked at the venue I booked, but she handled it like it was her 100th time. If you want quality, peace of mind and a person with a great heart - pick Jessica!

Living in BK, we decided to get married in PR as my husband is originally from there. Instantly, we knew that we needed help! Since the start, Jessica put my mind at ease and kept us both calm during our wedding and planning! For starters, Jessica was so responsive to our emails, texts and calls while at the same time providing us with updates before we ever even asked for them!
When it came time to pick all of our other wedding vendors, Jessica did a great job of making a few recommendation to not overwhelm us. In fact, with all of her connections and recommendations she ended up saving us money, making her worth more then what we paid for! On the day of the wedding, everything was perfectly in place - no one was late, the schedule went exactly as planned and countless people told us it was one of the best wedding that they've ever been to! This fact can be solely attributed to Jessica's keen eye to detail as we turned to her for almost all of our decisions because we were clueless!
Sometimes it's the simplest of gestures that make a differences from knowing who everyone in our family was to bringing us a plate of appetizers! Jessica and her team were on top of every single element, even before they even happened, including a broken bustle (to which I had an extra dress ready thanks to Jessica, which I never would have thought of).
If you made it this far in my review, you should definitely do yourself a favor and hire Jessica because I promise you won't be disappointed!

Jessica is very professional, reliable and pays attention to detail. She has a lot of experience on wedding planning and executes to perfection. I hired Jessica for my wedding in Atlanta, Georgia. My parents are from Puerto Rico and I wanted to make sure my wedding experience had a mix of the American and Puerto-Rican culture. Jessica is 100% fluent in English and Spanish, which made working with her very easy for my husband and I. Jessica was an excellent wedding coordinator from the first day. She made our destination wedding in Puerto Rico so much easier to plan. Stop looking and immediately hire this AMAZING Woman. Believe me you won't regret it. Let me start by stating I thought we didn't need a coordinator and was way wrong. From day one Jessica demonstrated being open, caring, interested, listened to our needs and made herself available to us. We hired her with less than 8 months to start from scratch all the process and planning of our wedding. We couldn't choose a better coordinator, as she was always available, gave us comfort through her communication and assistance. Everyone told us of the stress that comes from planning a wedding but that wasn't our experience thanks to JCA. Jessica is very experienced, extremely patient, communicative, very responsive, has great taste, among other qualities. Through the entire process she explained, oriented, suggested as we asked or understood necessary. She knows the best vendors, has great relationship with them, provides several options to choose from and gives you feedback based on your needs and budget. Even the vendors talked to us of her as a human being and amazing work. The day of our wedding JCA worked flawless giving us the opportunity to enjoy it to the fullest. They took into account every single detail that otherwise may have been missing or forgotten. Even our relatives thought Jessica was one of the family. Everyone was excited and very pleased of how perfect the wedding was in every single aspect for which we thank JCA of the outcome. They helped to have our dream come true even above what we could imagined. Jessica outdid herself to please us and to ensure everything was perfect on our wedding and every step of the process. Take my word being a control freak and a workaholic, JCA exceeded our expectations to a level that I asked her if she even slept as she was always on top of everything and communicating day and night. JCA Special Events made my dream come true. I didn't want a conventional wedding. I wanted something fall themed, Jessica was super accommodating. She listened to everything my husband and I wanted and was able to bring together our tastes to make something beautiful, fun and elegant. She was available to speak to us on a regular basis. Everything went off without a hitch. I would use her service again for any event that I was planning in the future. She is professional, punctual, kind, attentive and warm. The product she produces is of the best quality to fit your budget. We were very pleased.

As Puerto Rican's living in Texas it was easy for us to choose Puerto Rico as the location for our wedding. What was not so easy was planning the wedding while not living in Puerto Rico. For this reason we decided we needed a wedding planner. We contacted several planners but not many returned our emails and those who did were not proffesional in their responses. The we contacted JAC Special Events. From day one Jessica Colon was prompt in her responses and not only proffesional but also personable when returning calls and emails regardless of the hour of the day. For this reason we decided to hire her. Jessica went above and beyond her responcibilities as were written in our contract with her. She provided us with exceptional service over a year in advance of our wedding even though she was not responsible for doing so. She provided us with a list reputable vendors who were also very helpful. Coming up to the day of the wedding Jessica made sure that EVERY detail of the wedding was addressed. Without here so many little details would have been missed that could have caused our day to become a disaster. The day of the rehearsal Jessica made sure to have all of our questions answered and ensured that all we had planned would run smoothly at the church. On the day of the wedding Jessica made our dream wedding come true. From the church to the last dance of the night Jessica made sure that not only my husband and I had all our needs met but that all guest were also satisfied. In no way did we feel like we had to run the event as Jessica and her staff had a detailed schedule and made sure we stuck to it which left us with plenty of time to enjoy the night with our guest. I would not have traded the money we spent on her planning services for anything else at the wedding. Jessica Colon and staff, thank you for making every aspect of our wedding a memory we will never forget. Exceptional service!!!

I can with all honesty say that if you are looking for someone that really cares, and I mean really cares about you and your wedding then it is a no brainer to hire Jessica! I have never seen someone be so diligent and caring with all the details. She was magnificent to work with and took care of so many things behind the scenes that it made the wedding truly magical. I was so blessed to have her oversee the direction and design and work so hard to make the most important moments matter. My wife really had her day, and I was a happier husband for it . Hands down, the best in the business!

JCA Special Events provided the perfect guidance, support, and direction for my destination wedding in Puerto Rico. I only went to PR twice before the wedding. I made decisions as they were presented and JCA executed. From the official paperwork, to the selection of the flowers JCA was holding my hand.

Flawless bilingual communication ensured that I was 100% certain on all contracts with other vendors (live band, photographers, make-up artist, etc.

Speedy and prompt response and resolution to any and all concerns was provided from start to finish; even follow up after the wedding.

JCA is networked with the best support vendors too, so I was able to provide my budget and afford the best quality in the areas most important to my husband and I. He wanted a live band and an open bar, I wanted the best pictures to capture the most beautifully designed and decorated reception party.

Everyone still raves about the authentic Puerto Rican food, the ambiance and the dancing from our wedding. JCA made our day perfect to us!

My husband and I decided on a destination wedding (in Puerto Rico) and we were provided Jessica's contact information through a mutual friend. I have to say it was pretty nerve wracking deciding to do a destination wedding to begin with but also entrusting someone to do all the leg work and research for you. Jessica did it ALL. Initially, I thought that paying someone to plan the wedding, etc was ridiculous but now in hindsight there is no way I could have done it myself without going crazy and taking the joy out of the wedding entirely. Lets just say that my husband and I didn't really have to worry about anything other than saying "yes" or "no" to options she presented to us. We just gave her our vision and she took it from there. She was very professional, always available, patient, and respectful towards our wants. All of our wedding guests loved her!!

Would absolutely, without hesitation recommend her for anyone doing a wedding in Puerto Rico!

We attended a wedding expo where we saw a decoration display and we both said "this is exactly what we want", a tasteful, beautiful decoration with a sense of captivating unity. We had to come back to meet Jessica because she was managing a wedding (Saturday), but we happily came back Sunday. We fell in love with Jessica immediately and hired her as fast. Jessica is sweet, happy, and humble with a good ear, well spoken, and proper. She was responsible and on point from the getgo and even after the wedding. My wedding was truly a dream come true tks to Jessica's diligence and dedication, and everyone and everyone commended her excellent and passionate work. She is the wedding coordinator of your dreams in that everything will be perfectly beautiful in place, but more because she will become your friend, family, and her presence throughout those unforgettable moments will be as harmonious as the flowers, the music, and the smiling tears.

THE BEST WEDDING PLANNER IN PUERTO RICO HANDS DOWN. Where do I even begin. We hired Jessica as our wedding planner less than 2 months before our wedding day. We had been working with who we thought was the best wedding planner on the island, and long story short, she turned out to be terrible. Not only did Jessica save our wedding, she created magic that left everyone saying that our wedding was a once in a lifetime spectacular event! Jessica is a beautiful person inside and out. She's passionate about what she does and it shows through her work. She never left our side through the entire process. She communicated with us day and night. This woman does not sleep! She would respond to our emails in the middle of the night, she was ahead of the problem before it even happened with a creative solution and action plan. We joke that she is the real Jennifer Lopez from the movie "The Wedding Planner". You know you're working with an amazing planner when your own wedding guests keep commenting on how she kept checking up on them during the wedding, asking if they needed anything, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Everyone felt her presence, she touched everyone. She even helped people into their cabs at the end of the night. Our guests raved about how the timing of every activity throughout the event was timed perfectly. I had an unexpected wardrobe malfunction with my wedding dress during the reception which is every bride's worst nightmare and Jessica was in the bathroom with me, consoling me as I cried and even offered to bring her own wedding dress from her wedding for me to change into. No other wedding planner goes as above and beyond as she does. We worked with 3 other event planners before hiring JCA Special Events. Yes, 3 others! Jessica exceeded our expectations by far and she executed a platinum wedding beyond our wildest dreams. She kept all of our vendors in check. Take it from the pickiest bride on the planet, Jessica is the best hands down.

Jessica was efficient, creative, kind, caring, responsible, she made sure the magic was there and that all our preferences were met. She knew so many different vendors, for different budgets, it was very refreshing to have such a variety of options and prices to choose from. She also made the flower decorations herself, and so many of ours quests commented on the beauty of the event and especially the flowers. Jessica is experienced and knows how to speak to a bride in any situation, she knew what I was feeling before I did, she was more than a wedding planner, she was an angel. Not only did she elegantly orchestrate the event side with exquisite professionalism and attention to detail, but she also gracefully managed and eased communication with overly excited family members. This last one I was and am still exceptionally grateful for, it really allowed me to relax and enjoy the weeks before my wedding and the wedding day itself; it was such a blessing to know she was taking care of everything. I couldn’t have done it without her and her team; Jessica, Pamela, Angel, and Edwin are the best people and event team in the world! Thanks to JCA Special Events our wedding was a success, a dream come true, and more beautiful than what I had imaged. Jessica is passionate about her work and making moments everything you want them to be and more. Before my experience with JCA, event planning was, to me, a nightmarish feat, now, after discovering JCA, I know how easeful, fun, and awesome the entire event process can be with JCA, I have no need to venture further for event planners, JCA is it. I had such a good time I can’t wait to host another event and see JCA work their magic. Choosing JCA Special Events to plan my wedding was the best decission could have made. Not only Jessica, but all her staff is incredible, both respectful and friendly. Jessica made my wedding a dream, going far and beyond. She works with the best suppliers from the industry and defintely adjusts to your budget. Not me or my family had to worry the day of the wedding as Jessica took care of every single detail, including arranged transportation for my husband and some guests which traveled from Canada. During the planning Jessica was available always to answer any questions or help with anything needed. She definitely makes you feel important and is fully commited with you during the whole process. 100% recommended, if want your wedding or any other important event!

I was not to in to being involved in wedding planing but Jessica was perfect! She was more than perfect with my now wife and let me go at my own flow! I recommend her to everybody that wants to have a great and perfect wedding.

When looking for a wedding planner, I was recommended Jessica's services by different people I knew, so felt quite confident in meeting her. Best decision ever!! Not only is she super professional and incredibly experienced, I felt like she was really listening to what I was saying, so she understood perfectly the vision my husband and I had for our wedding. She has lots of contacts and every single vendor she suggested was perfect for us. The best part is that she adjusts to your budget and always provides several options from which you can choose. Always happy to answer questions, communication was great from start to finish. She made sure everything was organised and that I wasn't procrastinating too much lol The wedding day ran so smoothly, even with it raining from start to finish! If you are looking for someone to help you with having a a perfect wedding you should contact Jessica at JCA Special Events. Jessica was more than helpful with everything from the church, decorations, invites, save the date website, flowers and calming my nerves. Jessica is very nice, kind, helpful, and extremely professional. I am so glad I decided to hire her because I would not have been able to do it on my own like I had thought at the beginning of my wedding plans. My husband and I had an amazing wedding and we would do it all over again! It came out more perfect than we could imagine. Jessica made sure everything was set and ready to go. She made sure I did not stress over anything. She was on top of everything that I did not worry once. I highly recommend JCA Special Events so you can have a worry free perfect wedding! :)

Overall satisfied with the service. Has got a good established network of services for anyone expecting typical protocol wedding. Our wedding ventured into a more unconventional approach and sometimes felt that what we wanted was not always received with openness. Some feeling of judgment was perceived, and well if the couple is paying for it we should not perceive anything, just a plan and execution. We even received comments from the guests on the wedding day that noticed this perception which really surprised me. We are a very demanding couple and value different things that a more traditional wedding couple would not have noticed. I am giving five stars in flexibility because to be honest getting someone to work on a 31st of december is quite demanding. All in all wedding was carried out, price was good and there were no major problems.
