Blown Away!

We LOVED working with Jessica as our wedding photographer! She has an amazing vision and made us look so incredibly natural (which is not easy for us!). She captured so many moments for memories that will last a lifetime. I can't thank her enough for all that she did. She also turned the photos around so quickly!

Words cant even describe how amazing Jessica is. She was our photographer for our engagement shoot and our wedding. From the beginning she was so friendly and personable, and also passionate about what she does. Our engagement photos were exactly what we wanted. Between our engagement and wedding we kept in touch a lot! Photography was one of the most important aspects of our wedding, so I had a lot of specific questions for her throughout the planning process. She was always helpful and provided a lot of input while keeping me calm about the day that everything would be perfect. She is the best combination of laid back and organized the day of our wedding. It made me feel super relaxed and calmed my nerves day of which I definitely needed! She got all the details so I didn't have to think about it! We had a lot of time for photos (on purpose), so it was a long day from getting ready to our send off. I was worried that it would be really tiring for her and her second photographer but they loved every minute, they were so passionate about capturing every moment which was so special to us. Upon seeing our wedding photos (a short two weeks later because she was so fast at getting everything back!) it was like reliving our day all over again. Jessica is an amazing artist and her photography is simply stunning, from the rich color and beautiful lighting she captures to every angle and detail. I can't say enough how in love with our photos that we are and how grateful to Jessica we are to have them to cherish every single day!

Jessica is a dream come true. The thing that I love about her is that she is able to capture the moments that might mean nothing to outsiders looking in, but mean the absolute world to the people she shoots. She understands women, family, and love in a way that really shows through in her work and her artistic style never overshadows the moments. Jessica was our first choice- our only choice, really. I followed her work for years and had total faith in her which really made us comfortable, I wasn't worried that anything would be missed, I wasn't uncomfortable taking the posed photos, it was just perfect to have someone so warm with us on our special day to round up our massive family and wild bridal party. She was totally on board and up to the challenge I brought when I mentioned that I wanted to try smoke bombs. She brought a second shooter who was also so incredible and they worked until the very end of the show. My family kept saying they'd never seen anyone work so hard.. they are still talking about it. She was able to capture these moments between my husband and I that had me saying "I didn't even know she was there!" or "Look! She caught that face you make when you're proud of yourself for making me laugh so hard!" It really means the world to us and we will treasure these photos forever. We will treasure her forever, honestly, there must be some sort of bond that happens between wedding photographers and brides and grooms cause we just love this girl.

It’s difficult to summarize just how important great photography is to a wedding (or any event!). I knew from day 1 that photography was the most important part of the process for us. The day would fly by and I would want amazing pictures to be able to look back on. Jessica and her assistant made that happen for us. We met a couple of times to discuss the engagement shoot (a really great bonus to the package - those pictures were STUNNING) and the wedding timeline. Jessica is very sweet and I like how she captures moments as they are happening - not a lot of posing required. :) if I could get married again and do it all over I would choose Jessica Charles Photography each time. The pictures were exactly what I wanted, and we got them back in record time (less than a month I think? Maybe two weeks?). High quality photography from a really talented person. Our photos were magical and I cant wait to get them plastered all over the walls (we’re remodeling so it’s having to wait!). Thank you Jessica for all your hard work and for giving us such a wonderful gift. You are a hidden gem in Upstate SC and I’m very fortunate to have found you.

I enjoyed working with Jessica Charles Photography so much! I really can't say enough about her work and how easy it was to work with her. Jessica was super available for me during the planning process. We had a Skype session, since we lived in Spain while we were planning the wedding, and met her for tacos before the wedding. The photo package I selected included an engagement session with hair and makeup. I'm really glad we worked with her before the wedding because we felt very comfortable with her and had an idea of what to do. I think a big part of why I liked working with her so much is that she made me feel more at ease and less self conscious than I would normally while someone is taking my photo. A wedding is already stressful enough so I'm glad that the photography aspect of it was stress free! Jessica and her second shooter, Ginia, were extremely professional but also very easy going. I felt like I was with friends! During the ceremony and reception, they blended in perfectly and made everyone feel at ease. We received our photos yesterday and love them! I'm really happy that we chose to go with Jessica. Our wedding went by so quickly and luckily we have beautiful photographs to remember it forever!

Jessica was absolutely the best photographer we could ask for. She was so kind, flexible and acted like we had been friends for years. On top of all that, her pictures were amazing. She took our suggestions along with providing her own and was like the secret service at our wedding - totally invisible. Big thanks to Jessica!

From the second Jessica picked up my first phone call, we instantly clicked! She has to be the sweetest person around! It was honestly like talking to an old friend, that you haven't seen in a long time. She was patient, understood me, and my wedding vision. When it comes to photography, it goes without saying, that Mrs. Jessica Charles, the face behind Jessica Charles Photography is just absolutely amazing at what she does! I am proud, and filled with joy that we were able to book Jessica for our wedding in Weaverville, NC. When wedding planning you go through wedding albums, pins, posts, blogs, magazines, etc, and in the end you can only hope/wish to have such a beautiful destination wedding photographed as if it were in a wedding magazine. Jessica and her assistant Ginia did JUST THAT, capturing each moment & every detail perfectly. Every moment was natural, and nothing too staged. Which is exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be any happier with the outcome of our wedding photos. Not only did Jessica photograph my wedding, but also a secret outdoor boudoir shoot (IN THE MOUNTAINS!!) as a surprise for my hubby on our big day, as well as a post wedding shoot in the mountains. All of which came out absolutely breathtaking. Jessica was AMAZING!! She is such a sweet individual and her photography skills were everything we were hoping for and more! My husband and I were thrilled with how our Engagement shoot and Wedding photos turned out!! She was very professional and even sent us a little gift to go along with our USB drive of photos for an extra special touch. Jessica is the most amazing photographer! It was like she was your best friend, while being professional at the same time! We did our engagement shoot in North Carolina and our wedding was in St. Petersburg Fl. All of our photos are absolutely stunning! She was very responsive and had our photos to us in a timely manner. Jessica is the sweetest, most perfect and creative photographer! She gave us the most amazing engagement and wedding photos. She captures raw emotion like I've never seen before and that's exactly why we picked her! She doesn't make pictures look too posey, but completely natural and always in the best lighting. Not only does she have phenomenal photography skills, but she is just the most kindhearted person! Searching for the right photographer was a big deal to me. I stumbled across a wedding online that Jessica did at the same venue I had booked - The Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota, FL. My husband and I, along with most of our family, live in NJ. Jessica's pictures captured my interest because they give that real and natural look. I immediately contacted her, and after speaking with her on the phone I knew she was the one! She is so down to earth and makes you feel like she has known you for forever. Throughout my months of planning she was always there for any advice I had. Jessica and her second shooter, Bara, took so many amazing photos the day of the wedding. We are beyond grateful for all the beautiful pictures - thank you Jessica!!!

Jessica far exceeded my expectations. She is a very talented photographer who is so easy to work with. She has creative ideas if you want them, but let's the couple have the final say in what they do and don't want. The package we purchased was well priced, and well worth every penny. We LOVE our engagement photos from her, and adore the sneak peek photos she releases so we get to see and share some of the shots before the full album is finished. Can't WAIT to get our wedding photos back, I have no doubt that they are astounding. We greatly appreciated her flexibility and kindness, and I would highly recommend her to any bride looking for a stress free, talented, sweet, creative photographer.

Jessica is amazing! I am from Iowa and did all my wedding planning for our Florida wedding online and on the phone. Jessica made everything SOOO easy to plan regarding the photography. After talking with her the first time, I knew she would be awesome to work with. Her website and facebook page were super helpful to give me a feel of her gorgeous style of photography! On the wedding day, she was relaxed and professional throughout the entire time she was with us. She took some of the most amazing pictures I have ever been in. The pictures are GORGEOUS and really captured our day :) She made me and my husband so comfortable throughout the shoot as well and listened to any ideas we wanted to contribute. I would highly recommend her to everyone!

Choosing Jessica as our photographer was one of the absolute best decisions we made during our wedding planning. From the moment we stepped foot in her home for our first meeting to the last hug goodnight on our wedding day, she has been a blessing to my husband and I! We contacted Jessica initially because of her photography style – her use of natural light and ability to truly capture the unique personalities of each of her couples are second to none. But we ended up selecting Jessica as our wedding photographer because of the way she made us comfortable and listened to our ideas.

Being professionally photographed definitely did not come naturally to us and Jessica helped us through every step of our engagement and wedding photos, making us comfortable and, more importantly, laugh at ourselves! Our wedding photos turned out amazing. Jessica and her second photographer, Bara, captured every detail of our venue, quiet moments while my husband and I were alone, crazy moments on the dance floor and everything in between. Our friends and family (and even complete strangers!) absolutely gushed over our wedding photos, saying they belonged in a magazine. She made us feel beautiful and so very special. My husband and I got married in gorgeous Hale, Michigan. We found out about Jessica through one of our friends (she shot her wedding) and fell in love with the style of her photography. Her ability to capture not only the moment, but also the mood, sets her apart from othe photographers. She has an excellent use of natural light, making it feel warm and intimate. Her calm, yet excited personality helped bring out the best of us, especially my husband who is not a fan of being in front of the camera. We also had the pleasure of having her assistant. It was very clear they worked well with one another, making our special day stress-free with the photography.

Jessica is THE best!!! She was the first vendor we booked...even before the venue - that's how much we knew we wanted her to capture our special day. Jessica not only has one of the most creative eyes for photography, but she is just such a caring, warm person and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera and Jessica made it so easy to be ourselves and have fun...which captured the best pictures. On our wedding day it was POURING rain; we had to go with our backup plan to move all of our events inside the venue. There was not a lot of space to work with inside but Jessica was unbelievable. She captured the most amazing pictures from different angles and gave us so many different options/looks with the limited space she had to work with. We are in LOVE will all of our pictures and we cannot stop looking through them. Thank you so much for capturing the memories of the best day in our lives, Jessica. We are so grateful!

Jessica was just so pleasant to work with, had cute ideas and made the wedding fun. She is so enthusiastic about weddings and that enthusiasm is contagious. I had picked a difficult venue to photograph (aquarium at night) and she provided a great assessment of the challenges the venue presented and what she planned to do to capture the event. My husband and I are incredibly happy with her work.

I'm the mother of the groom. Jessica did such a wonderful job on the engagement shoot, that my daughter-in-law switched vendors to use her for the wedding as well (the wedding was in a different state). Her creativity gave the bridal couple some unique shots that unfortunately have since been copied by others who saw them. (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery) She's a ton of fun and professional at the same time. That's not an easy balance. If you want unusual and beautiful shots, Jessica Charles is the photographer for you.

Jessica shot a few of my friends wedding and engagement pictures. As soon as I saw them, I told my fiance and my mom that she's gonna be the wedding photographer. I didn't even inquire anyone else! Jessica and Bara shot our engagement photos. It was the best investment I have ever made. Having a second shooter was also a MUST for me. I wanted to be able to get every detail of the wedding & that's exactly what i got. And Bara, the second shooter, is another amazing photographer!! They are the best! I don't plan on getting married again, but if I need an excuse for photos I know exactly where to go! Best of the best.

I'm not gonna lie, parting with that money was very difficult for me, but when I saw my pictures I knew it was worth every penny. The photos were absolutely beautiful. It was the best investment I have ever made.

What first attracted us to Jessica Charles were the beautiful pictures on her website. But they speak for themselves. The real test for a good vendor is how well you'll be able to work with them when you're nervous and you're having trouble sorting through all the many details that you have bouncing around in your head (and you know, there are always more details than you thought) .

In person Jessica was amazing to work with--before, during, and after the wedding she stayed in touch. The way she updates her website and Facebook page with highlights of recent events that she's photographed kept are energy and enthusiasm growing exponentially as our day approached. She kept posting one amazing shot after another. We would often get home from work and say to each other "Have you seen the latest batch of her photos? She just did another wedding!"

During the wedding, she kept the bride calm. She was excited to help us develop our ideas and make them work. Both her and her staff kept really high spirits throughout the day and were exceptionally professional in their manner. They were genuinely great to have around as people, not just vendors, on our special day.

After the wedding, we got our pictures much faster than we expected. And man, did we get a lot of shots. It's been a few months and I still don't think I've seen them all. And that's certainly not something you'll hear us complaining about.

We really cannot give her higher recommendations. Thanks, Jessica!

After shooting my sisters wedding and seeing such amazing photos, I knew she had to shoot mine. Her work is amazing and her attention to details is what makes her photos so great. She is so fun to work with and is always extremely professional. I will forever have amazing photos to look at for the rest of my life and I can't thank her enough. There is no one better to shoot your wedding or event than Jessica. Don't bother to look around at photographers....Jessica is your girl:)

My husband and I agreed that next to food, photography was going to be the most important investment for our wedding. I was so lucky to have found Jessica's blog. I wanted her "touch" in all of our wedding photos and she definitely delivered. She is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and she put up with a lot, (shooting a 150+ wedding by herself in a new location for the first time, the bone-crushing late-May Florida heat, my general lack of planning/having no idea what I'm doing) She gave us beautiful engagement shots as well as wedding photos that I know we'll cherish for years. My husband and I needed a lot of direction and she was willing to give it without making my wedding party and I feel like dancing monkeys. Jessica gave us gorgeous photos at a competitive price and was professional and warm through what is usually a stressful process. Thanks Jessica!

The first research I performed after becoming engaged was for our photographer. We had an engagement period of just less than 2 years, and I had decided on Jessica within the first 2 months. I spent the next several months watching her blog, and reviewing new photos she would post, and seeing her emerge further as a great photographer with a great eye.

Her photography style and her skill is exactly what I was looking for, with added bonuses of a great value for her service, and such a wonderful person to have there to capture the moments that make us laugh and cry all over again just looking at the photos. She was professional, knowledgeable, and judging from our photos, always at the right place at the right time without being obtrusive.

Jessica will always be my first and only recommendation to anyone looking for a skilled photographer.

Jessica was amazing! She was extremely professional yet flexible and over all a joy to work with! In addition to our wedding pictures, we did an engagement shoot with her and all the pictures are absolutely incredible! It was a wonderful experience and I'm very lucky we had Jessica to capture all of the important and fun moments during our big day. I loved her style and she was very open to suggestions on certain pictures, which was super important to us. I'm so glad we will have lovely pictures of our wedding day to look back on for the rest of our lives! I LOVE Jessica Charles!!!! I first found her on Pinterest and after finding myself back at her website a few times decided to take a look around. I was so pleased when I realized that she was relatively local (I was in Orlando, she is in St. Pete but travels to Orlando). Working with Jessica turned out to be dream. From my first meeting with her I knew that we would be a great fit and when I received my final wedding photos I was glad I was right. On the day of my wedding Jessica was with us all day (like ALLL DAYYY from 11am to 10pm) she was wonderful and cheerful the entire time and really worked to capture our special day in a way that represented our style. It was relaxed and beautiful. Jessica strives to capture the beauty and joy of all of her clients. I highly recommend working with Jessica if you have the opportunity, you won't regret it.

I cannot be luckier than to have found Jessica as our photographer. From our engagement photos, which we get compliments on regularly, to the professionalism she showed and genuine enthusiasm for the actual wedding day I am truly a lucky bride. Jessica has a style that showcases her subjects in a soft way where you look natural and normal... and infinitely prettier than real life ;-) She and her second shooter were so accomodating of my groom and I and captured some really amazing moments for us. Her prices are reasonable and her turnaround time is great. If you want a natural yet professional photographer, Jessica and her team is the way to go.

I used Jessica Charles Photography for my engagement photos and May wedding. I feel that I couldn't have found a better photographer. Jessica was responsive to all of my questions and concerns before the wedding, patient with me and my bridal party during the wedding, and very quick in editing my photos in spite of a busy wedding month. After seeing all of the edited photos from our engagement shoot and wedding I would describe her style as both creative and classic. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great photographer to capture the special moments.

Out of all the vendors I chose for my wedding, Jessica was by far the best. She was friendly, flexible, and kept great communication via email, phone call, or text. I had searched a long time for photographers online and had pretty much given up on finding an economical photographer who had a portfolio that featured the aesthetic/style I wanted. Then I checked Ruffled blog and found Jessica: she's amazingly talented, professional, loved my DIY-vintage wedding aesthetic, and offered her services at a price I loved. Working with her was such a fantastic experience, I feel like throwing out my personal camera now and just having Jessica come to all family functions to take beautiful photos!

We found Jessica through a referral from a friend who had gotten engaged at the same time we did. She truley is an AMAZING photographer with an eye for detail and style. She does everything she can to provide the experience and service that a couple needs/wants during this special yet stressful time. Dawson and I were so at ease with her at our engagement session and wedding. We had a great time walking through Ybor finding great spots to take photos. We've recommended her to so many of our friends who are celebrating some of life's greatest moments this year, and she is even providing the photography services for my brother's upcoming wedding in October! Jessica was amazing! From the very beginning, I knew she would do an amazing job. She did one of my friend's weddings, and that's how I found her. I was so impressed. I had to have her. She did another one of my friends weddings before mine & I loved every shot she got from both of those. Not to mention, I followed her blog & facebook to see all her work...I was obsessed! Tampa Brides - Jessica Charles needs to be your photographer! Jessica is a fabulous photographer, let alone a super sweet person. She has an eye for photography that is truly unique and honestly a great value for the price. She manages to take 'new' photos that you haven't seen before, regardless of her prior experience with weddings - so it doesn't feel 'cookie-cutter'. She definitely captures the 'feeling' of your wedding -whether it be romantic, fanciful, crafty or contemporary. I was lucky to have come across Jessica's website in a Craigslist posting about 15 months ago. I sent her an email, wanting to get started early because I was planning a destination wedding! Being from Milwaukee, it was a bit scary to try to choose essential people for my big day without being able to meet them.

Jessica was friendly and helpful from the very beginning. She got back to my email request within just a few hours. We kept in touch for the entire year before my wedding, which was very comforting.

Since my wedding was on the beach, we weren't sure if we were going to have to change the time of the ceremony; Jessica was able to work with us whatever happened (though luckily there wasn't a cloud in the sky). She sent me a disc of my photos and I received it just a few days after I got back from my honeymoon. All of the photos were beautifully edited, and the poses she suggested were beautiful. There have been few people in this world (except for my husband, of course!) who have made me feel so beautiful.

If you are looking for a photographer who is personal, friendly, helpful, and worth her weight in gold, Jessica Charles is your gal!

I just love this girl! Not only do I feel I got an amazing photographer, but I even gained a friend. The photos on her website grabbed my attention when I was initially searching for a photographer, and then her personality just sucked me in even more. She really loves what she does and takes the time to make sure all those important moments are captured. We have so many beautiful photos between our engagement session and wedding that I'm sure they will soon be plastered all over our house. She really has a gift and I am so glad I found her!

I’m a professional military photographer myself and thus was extremely picky when it came down to choosing a photographer for my wedding. I had literally been looking for months and had only found a lot of over priced and mediocre photos; essentially nothing like what I was looking for. I was about to settle with over paying for someone that I wasn’t thrilled about because it was coming down to the short strokes and I still hadn’t booked a photographer. Jessica Charles was EXTRAORDINARY. My wife and I could not have been more pleased.
