Amazing Experience

When I began my search for the perfect hair/make-up team for my wedding day, Jennie Kay Beauty came highly recommended by many people I spoke with. I immediately reached out and they were extremely responsive and easy to work with. Throughout the process, Jennie and her team were absolutely AMAZING. At my hair/make-up trial, Jennie took all of my recommendations and gave her expertise about what would work best for my hair type. She was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure what she did exceeded my expectations.

On the day of my wedding, Jennie and her team arrived right on time and were well-prepared. In addition to being extremely friendly, they ensured that all of my bridesmaids were pleased with the services they received. I had eight bridesmaids and three flowergirls and they actually got done ahead of schedule! The entire process was absolutely perfect!! THANK YOU!

Jennie Kay is phenomenal!

I highly recommend Jennie Kay Beauty to anyone looking for flawless wedding day hair and makeup. Brandon (my makeup artist) and Jess (my hair stylist) were both amazing. SO friendly and fun, professional, and I literally could not believe how beautiful I looked when they were done with me. They took all my photos and ran with it, giving me a look I wish I could have every day, forever. They even accommodated my need for all cruelty free products. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend!

Jennie Kay Beauty = Amazing!!!

Jennie Kay and her team are amazing. Jennie was one of the first vendors I booked for my wedding and I’m so glad I did! Jennie did my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as a trial. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d do a trial, but I’m glad I did. It was great to test out different looks and, most importantly, I loved getting to know Jennie and her team. It allowed me to go into my wedding day relaxed, knowing I was in AMAZING hands. Jennie is an artist and such a pro at what she does, while also being so easy to talk to and connect with on a personal level. Jennie is genuine and truly cares about her clients. I’ve never received a follow-up call after any other hair appointment, but a few days after visiting Jennie for my first color/cut, I received a call to see how my experience was and if I was happy with the result (so thoughtful!). Jennie’s team is also outstanding. I loved working with Morgan for color – she is amazing at what she does. When I had a few last-minute concerns about my color, Morgan and Jennie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my wedding day. I loved having Jennie do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She made me feel so relaxed throughout and truly made me feel like a bride. I can’t recommend Jennie and her team highly enough. Jennie and her team were responsive, accommodating, and so very professional throughout my entire experience. With complete creative freedom Jennie was able to style our hair and makeup knowing what looked best for our faces and wardrobe that day. Jennie Kay and her staff were completely amazing from my trial look through my wedding day prep. We had a blast with them! They were patient and helped guide me through jitters to feeling like a very ready, beautiful bride. I can't recommend Jennie and her team enough. They went above and beyond, even giving members of my wedding party a lift to the venue when our limo didn't show up! A+ for effort!

Jennie and her team are amazing! I had a couple of bad hair and make up trials for my destination wedding and in swooped Jennie and Jess to save the day. They were flexible enough to travel with us to our destination wedding in New Orleans, Louisiana and to put up with all the craziness that entails. They were also very adaptable and flexible as people were constantly changing their mind about hair and make up... up until the day of the wedding. Jennie and Jess just went with the flow.
They provided services for 3 flower girls, mother of the bride, my three sisters-in-law, and a two grandmothers. It was a jam packed day for two people, but we ran on time (even a little bit early!). Everyone loved their hair and make up, which makes it even better!
You would be crazy not to hire them for your wedding!!

Jennie Kay Beauty is the best and their team is extremely talented! Jess (who's the best btw) did my hair trial and day-of hair. She took my inspiration and really styled my hair exactly how I wanted. Because I did the trial, it put me at ease for the big day. The salon was really easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding, and Jennie herself handled the booking of my appointments--she was so sweet! Huge shout out to Emily and Brandon who did my bridemaids' hair and makeup, too; they looked drop-dead gorgeous. Highly recommend!

As a bride who loves spending hours in Sephora and pinning bridal looks on Pinterest, hair and makeup was one of if, if not the most important, decisions I made for the wedding. I can wholeheartedly say that choosing Jennie and her team to work my wedding weekend was the best decision I ever made! Jennie is a master colorist and before the weekend got underway she colored my hair and achieved the exact color I was going for! Jennie did such an amazing dye job that my maid of honor said that she didn't realize my hair was in need of a breath of new life until Jennie's amazing color job! Her balayage skills are second to none and she is a true artist when she paints your hair. Jennie's team also did my hair and makeup, as well as my MOH's and my mom's, for my welcome party and again they knocked it out of the park. They achieved the exact look each one of us was going for, and throughout the evening we were showered with compliments regarding our hair and makeup looks. Jennie and Steph also did the hair for myself, my bridal party and the moms on my big day. Jennie and Steph created amazing looks that captured exactly what each of the women wanted but at the same time managed to make everything look cohesive. The weather on my wedding day was pretty windy and at the last minute I asked Jennie if she wouldn't mind staying for touch-ups, even though this had not been planned Jennie went with the flow and stayed to help out some more! Having spent so much time with Jennie and her team during the weekend, I felt like I got to know her and her team well and connected with them on a level deeper than one of stylist and client. Jennie is one of the most genuinely kind people I have ever met and her presence was both energetic and calming, as well as positive and caring. Jennie made sure everyone felt comfortable and loved the way they looked. I cannot truly put into words how grateful I am that I had Jennie and her team around me all throughout my wedding weekend!!

I booked Jennie and team for my wedding in November 2016 at Castle Hill. Hair and makeup was definitely something that was very important to me on my wedding day. I wanted to make sure that I felt my absolute best and worked with someone who I could communicate with and achieve the look I was hoping for on the wedding day. I'm the type of person who finds it hard to speak up so having someone that I felt comfortable doing that with was key! Jennie was a dream! I couldn't have chosen better hands to be in! Working with Erin on scheduling my trial and coordinating day of details was a breeze and everything went so smoothly! They showed up the morning of, on time and ready to make everyone looking feel beautiful and they nailed it! Being in located NYC, I was overwhelmed with having to choose someone I hadn't yet met, but when I did meet Jennie I instantly knew that she was the right fit! Jennie communicated with me every step of the way at both my trial and on my wedding day to make sure that I was happy and everything was exactly the way I wanted it to be. She also added great suggestions and insights to styling my hair a particular way that would hold in pictures and against the windy days that are common at Castle Hill. What I loved about Jennie is that while she was there to offer advice, she never once made me feel like I had to take it. She was there for guidance but ultimately let me decide. For anyone who has wedding day nerves like I did, you couldn't find a more calming presence to be around. I was so nervous the morning of my wedding and having her there helped tremendously! I felt like I was just hanging out with one of my girlfriends getting my hair and makeup done! I also loved that Jennie uses quality products for both hair and makeup! Overall I can't say enough great things about Jennie and team! If you're getting married, book Jennie!! It's a no brainer :)

I can't say enough wonderful things about Jenny and her amazing staff. They are professional, prompt and fun! What more could you ask for. They made the beauty part of my wedding stress free. Jess gave me an amazing balayage before my wedding and a killer blow out before my rehearsal dinner. Erin was always there with a prompt response anytime i had questions or to calm my nerves. On my big day my young daughter and i went in to get our hair and my makeup done. I am someone who likes a natural look but does suffer from rosacea. I was nervouse about how my makeup woul look. Jenny worked miracles. It was AMAZING! I have never felt so beautiful as i did on my wedding day. Jenny and her staff helped me not only feel and look my best on my wedding day they helped me make a lasting memory my daughter and i will never forget. Jennie Kay was absolutely amazing! I don't style my hair or generally wear much makeup, and my primary goal was to look and feel like myself on the day of the wedding. Without any specific ideas about what I wanted, Jennie worked her creative magic and created a look that felt both natural and stunning. I was extremely happy with everything I had done at Jennie Kay. My hair and makeup came out amazing. I was so nervous because I was coming from out of town and I couldn't get there before my wedding for a trial. Turns out I didn't need to. I brought a picture in and showed them what I wanted and was amazed at how similar my hair came out to the picture. I was taken aback by how great the stylists were and make up artists. Trusting Jennie Kay's team (specifically Jess and coordinating with Erin) was the best decision I ever made! I got a blow dry for my rehearsal dinner and had all of our hair done for the wedding (my own, bridal party and mother) and couldn't have been happier! Jennie Kay really holds a high standard for her team and I was extremely pleased with both the experience and how everyone's hair came out. The biggest criteria for selecting vendors on my wedding day was thinking about who I wanted to share that day with and I felt like I became best friends with the Jennie Kay team! I felt so calm, comfortable and even better, beautiful and confident once all was done! I had extensions in for my big day which was no problem at all so they are very skilled in working with all types of hair. Can't wait for our 1 year anniversary so we can go back to Newport and I can get styled again for a night out on the town! Thank you Jennie Kay!

Worth every penny. As professional as a NYC Make up artist and more! Shelby was UNBELIEVABLE. She did my make up perfect and helped me when my hair wasn't exactly what i wanted ( I stupidly used a referral i got from a friend who wasn't great). Don't walk, RUN to Jennie Kay for EVERYTHING. They beat my expectations ten fold! And let me mention, before I booked them for make up, I had 2 other trials in NYC that I HATED. Thank you Shelby! YOU ARE AMAZING!

Working with Jennie and her team on my wedding day was the easiest and best choice I could have made. I cannot express how amazing Jennie and her team are and if I could give 10 stars I would! By far one of the best vendors we worked with. Jennie and her team are professional, fun, and make you feel amazing from day 1. I had a clear vision of what I wanted for hair and makeup and Jennie went above and beyond what I had envisioned. I had a few notes after my trial that I wanted to do a little bit different (bolder lashes, more blush, etc.) and she took every single note that I had and made me feel like a princess. I had never felt more beautiful in my life. She has the ability to make the makeup look natural, beautiful, and perfect. For the bride’s hair and makeup, Jennie’s prices were more than most other quotes I received, however, the price was worth every penny and you absolutely get what you pay for. It’s your wedding so choose the best hair and makeup! I would recommend Jennie and team to everyone I know.

The Jennie Kay Beauty Team was truly incredible on my wedding day and made my bridal party and I look so beautiful. From coordinating the trial and putting together the day of schedule for 8 people, Erin helped make everything a breeze. I cannot say enough amazing things about Jennie Kay!!
I hired them to do my hair, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 moms. They were outstanding. Everyone's hair was perfect, and mine was unbelievable!
I had gone for a trial with Jess, and she was so talented and nice- I showed her my inspiration and my headpiece, and she did something even more beautiful than I could find on pinterest- exactly what I wanted! Their studio is so cute as well.
She really did an amazing job, working with hair extensions as well, and my curls held all night long!

Jennie is the very best! I am beyond thrilled I booked her and her team for my wedding. I think she is fantastic for two (among many) reasons: 1. At our trial, she looked at my face, hair, preferred style, and came up with a gorgeous and very flattering up-do. Despite wanting a higher bun, she explained why a lower bun worked better with the way my hair fell. Similarly, I initially wanted heavier eye makeup, and she pointed out that I have deep set eyes and would look my best with less eye makeup. She was right! I really appreciated that she took the time to think about what would truly look best and flatter me the most, even if it differed from any photos or ideas I previously had. She was also very helpful regarding input on jewelry for the neckline of the dress. 2. Jennie was such a happy and calming presence on the day of the wedding. She took great care with both the hair and makeup, and stayed with me through dinner time, not only touching me up, but was always there to hold my bouquet or offer a glass of water during photographs. Her kindness and enthusiasm were so hugely appreciated and I could not possibly recommend her more. Any bride would be lucky to have her! Thank you Jennie!!

Jennie and her team provided hair and makeup services for me, my bridesmaids, my mom and the mother of the groom. Jennie was by far one of my favorite vendors that I booked. She really gets the fact that brides don't want five pounds of makeup on their face. My makeup was very natural-looking so that I looked like myself -- but better :) -- when I walked down the aisle. I've never been so happy with how my makeup looked. I have a lot of hair, but Jennie was able to masterfully handle it and give me the look that I wanted. All of my bridesmaids and the moms were thrilled with how they looked as well. I really cannot say enough good things about her and her team. They're fun to be around and they do a spectacular job. They're based in the Newport area so we actually went to their new downtown studio to get our hair and makeup done. They have a lot of space there and that made everything very easy.

I had Jennie come with us to our venue for touch-ups and she really went above and beyond for us. When one of my bridesmaid's dresses ripped literally right before I was supposed to go out and do my first look, she had called a seamstress before any of us had time to freak out. She definitely saved the day. She was so relaxed and helpful that it made me feel so much more calm no matter what craziness came up. Definitely book Jennie and her team for your hair and makeup needs.

I booked with Jennie Kay sight unseen, which made me VERY nervous, but it was one of the best decisions ever! From trial to day of, Shelby (hair) and Brandon (makeup) were the best beauty team I could have asked for. They were both SO nice and professional, and really listened to what I asked for. I loved both my hair and makeup and felt SO comfortable the entire day. Even through hours of activity, dancing and lots of sweat (married in the middle of August in New England) my hair and makeup HELD. My bridesmaids, mom and mother-in-law looked beautiful as well, with Shelby providing gorgeous up-dos and Brandon making sure everyone looked like their natural selves. I would use Jennie Kay's team again in a heartbeat!

Jennie Kay Beauty is simply the best. Jennie Kay and her team are fun, easy-going and extremely talented. I could not be more pleased with my choice to hire them for my wedding. From the initial inquiry email through after my wedding, the team was resourceful and informative, helping to guide me through the process and establish the best plan for me, my mother, and my bridesmaids. I love that from the beginning, they noted that they want everyone to "look like themselves" rather than overly made up. Everyone was so pleased with their work and loved spending the day with Jennie Kay, Shelby and Jess.

My trial was flawless and I loved spending the day with Jennie Kay and Erin at the adorable studio. They asked questions like what I looked like my Facebook photographs and to see my Pinterest board to get a sense of my style and what I looked like on a day to day basis, rather than only when all dolled up. I could not have been more pleased with the outcome! I found it extremely helpful to let them work their magic rather than guide them with too many photographs.

I absolutely loved working with the ladies at Jennie Kay Beauty. Stephanie is fantastic and really made the entire process smooth and easy for me. She answered all of my questions and organized every detail perfectly. She also gave me great suggestions for places to order coffee/lunch in the area for my bridal party. Shelby did my hair and make-up and absolutely exceeded my expectations. On the day of my wedding there were a few things that I wanted done differently with my hair and make-up. All I had to do was describe it to her and on the first try it was perfect. I looked at wedding hair styles for a long time and never really found a picture that I loved, but she managed to make my hair look better than I could have even imagined. My make-up was perfect as well- exactly what I envisioned. I looked like myself, but the best version of myself that I could have hoped for! All of my bridesmaids and my mom were so happy with their hair and make-up, and did they ever look BEAUTIFUL!!! My flower girl's hair was even done perfectly! On the morning of the wedding all of the stylists came and then followed the schedule to a tee (we were done right on time- when does that ever happen?!), but they were never rushed and gave everyone the time and attention they needed. The team at Jennie Kay is really exceptional and I am so glad that we had them for our wedding!!

My Daughter was married at Belle Mer in Newport , Rhode Island.
Jeannie did her hair and my hair .
I was a bit nervous because I knew it would be windy there but I did not want an Up Do because I don't wear my hair up and was afraid to change it . Jeannie was very supportive.
. I wore my hair down and after being blown to bits at the ceremony it looked amazing at the reception and even the next day at the brunch.
Jeannie also did our make up. It was air brushed . . My daiugjter looked gorgeous and I barely recognized myself . All my friends asked me what my secret was to looking so young.
We also wore eyelash extensions and they looked amazing.
Jeannie was extremely patient with me because I never wear make up and I was very tan and she managed to blend in the makeup so naturally . I was amazed and so relieved.
I had full confidence in Jeannie and I would highly recommend her to any Mother of the Bride, and Bride.

Jennie Kay was by far my favorite wedding vendor!!! I'm not sure words can even express how much I loved working with her, or how unbelievable she is. She is so amazingly talented and made my mom and I look and feel beautiful on my wedding day. I knew we made the perfect choice from the minute I met her at the trial. She took her time capturing the exact look I was going for, only better, and has such an awesome personality. On the wedding day, her calm and easygoing personality completely relaxed us which is just what we needed right before everything started. Not only that, she was able to make us still look like us, only a more enhanced version of ourselves. I've gotten my hair and makeup done for events a few times in the past, and it never came out right. Jennie is truly the best at what she does, and I would never go to anyone else again. Jennie Kay and her team of makeup artists and hair stylists did an absolutely unbelievable job for my wedding day in May. I have known Jennie personnally for many years, but had never had the benefit of being one of her clients. I am so happy that she was available for the wedding. Her team was creative, flexible, and extremely talented. My entire bridal party looked amazing, and I felt that my makeup and hair was better than what I had envisioned. I also looked like myself (albeit, the best version) which was very important to me. I could not have asked for a better experience on what was the most important day of my life. Outside of the team's obvious talent and ability, one of the best things that they brought to the day was a sense of confidence and relaxation. I never felt stressed, rushed, or concerned throughout the entire process. I have been in several weddings as a bridesmaid in the past, and pressure from a beauty team can really stress out the bride and her family on the day of the wedding. This was the opposite and exactly what I needed to remain calm. I am so grateful to them, especially to Jennie Kay, for all of their help on the big day! They also recommended some amazing vendors that helped me to pull all of the details together. We had our wedding on a extremely windy day at Belle Mer. Luckily Jennie had been there many times and was able to recommend hair updos that would withstand the weather. Even in such strong winds we came to the reception looking like movie stars. Jennie is a sweet and fun hair and make up artist who is patient and understanding while you go back and forth between the hair style you really want to do at the hair trial AND even on the wedding day :). I put my complete trust in her and the compliments I got from my guests made me blush. The make up was so remarkable that I didn't want to wash my face for days. My mom and I were airbrushed and it looked so natural. My mom has very very tan skin and the make up blended so well. I love the way my eyes looked and the eyelash extensions were super fun. It got pretty hot and a little sweaty when we all started dancing but our hair and make up didn't budge! Shelby did the hair for the bridesmaids. Everyone had an updo that was 100 times better than the pictures we showed her on Pinterest. She is phenomenal and every girl was so happy. If I could have a hair and make up entourage for my every day life, it would certainly be the two of them for sure! I was the happiest bride in the world.

I had 10 bridesmaids and she was able to accommodate not only my large bridal party but also my mother and mother-in-law as well as two additional girls involved in the wedding ceremony. I am thrilled I went with Jennie Kay for my wedding. Jennie is super nice and the trial was a blast. On the wedding day Jennie and Shelby kept everything fun and relaxed. My bridesmaids loved their hair by Shelby and I loved that each one had a different look that worked for them individually. I adored my hair and received many compliments on it. I had the airbrush makeup and it lasted beautifully. I’m not much of a makeup person so Jennie made my makeup look just a step up from natural. I looked like me - on my best day ever. And, the lip color Jennie gave me with the Bridal Bombshell package is perfect. Every time I wear it now I think about how beautiful I felt on my wedding day.

First off WOW!!! I booked Jennie & her team of 3 hair & makeup people for my wedding this past Saturday & I'm sitting in the airport to take off for my honeymoon but wanted to review her first! Everyone at my venue in newport said book Jennie, so being someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup & can barely do my own hair I definitely wanted to do a trial. I came down from Boston, had a trial for makeup & loved it so much I booked her immediately, I then had a hair trial several months later, which I ended up changing completely because I'm indecisive (it looked great but was just a different look than what suited my dress). Jennie was out on maternity leave so couldn't do a second trial but I was assured by her staff she could pull off another look on the spot if I just showed her a picture. She not only pulled it off but gave me hair & makeup that was even better than I could have ever imagined! She had extra time and instead of rushing to leave the site, she took her time to make sure it was perfect. In addition to her amazing skills, she was so friendly & helped calm my nerves. I felt like I was talking to a friend and not someone I had only met a couple of times. In addition, her & her team accommodated 2 last minute additional services for an extra girl and all my friends said they were all so friendly, fun & LOVED their hair and makeulp! Lastly, though I had several changes for where we were getting ready, Jennie's assistant Stephanie was super helpful, professional, always answered my emails even if it was Sunday at 10pm & above all was super efficient! I was worried that I would have a hard time contacting Jennie when she was out but Stephanie was completely able to answer every question in a timely manner. My ONLY sad part of this review is that I'm sad Jennie isn't closer to me in Boston because I would absolutely have her do my hair and makeup for any other event! Jennie your amazing! Thank you so much!!!

Jennie and her team just did my wedding in Newport, and I can't tell you how FABULOUS the entire bridal party looked (I'd post pictures here if I could to show you...they looked incredible!), and how AMAZING I felt as a bride! Not only was her team fun to be around all morning as we got ready, they were responsive to comments/questions/concerns along the way as we got ready, and every girl felt like a million bucks when they were done.

As a bride working with Jennie, I was totally at ease, knowing that she would not let me out the door unless I looked my absolute best. We used makeup at my trial and then decided on airbrush for the actual day - which was a bit of a change/risk - and she said, trust me, if I don't like how it looks, I'm taking it off of you. I did trust her...100%...and the results were amazing. She has great taste and style, and as a perfectionist, she wants everything to look exactly right, so at no point was I worried - and she delivered. We also changed my hairstyle from my original trial, and Jennie was totally calm and relaxed about the switch and made me feel very secure/calm during what is an exciting but stressful time. The end result was that I felt like a better version of myself...I wish I could have her around every morning making me look so great!!

Not only is Jennie young, fun and energetic...she has a great eye for makeup and style and only wants the BEST for her clients. I can't wait to recommend her to my girlfriends getting married...she was an absolute pleasure and a talent to work with!!!

Jennie Kay is, honestly, the most talented makeup artist in Rhode Island. I can say that from experience because aside from Jennie, over time I have also hired two of the other most prominent makeup artists in RI. Jennie was, IS, hands down, the *best* and I'm so thankful she was available for one of the most important days of my life! (Certainly the most photographed!) :)

Jennie is booked months, even years, in advance with her many weddings, movies, editorial shoots, and more. And with good reason - she's the best!

I had some confidence issues when it came to being a bride. I am not one for the spotlight, so the whole idea of being the center of attention, quite frankly, freaked me out. Well, I needn't have worried. I've never looked or felt so beautiful! I was also comfortable and felt like myself- my makeup wasn't caked on heavy or overdone.

As a bride, you can't plan or expect all the excitement that's buzzing around you as you get ready. I purposely tried to keep it mellow but even still, friends, family, people popping in to say hello, chatting, etc. Jennie was professional and quick through it all- I realized later that if she had not been, I would have been late to my own wedding. I commend her for keeping herself (and me!) focused so that so I was on time for my handsome groom :).

I even changed my hair style request slightly at the last minute and she didn't give me a hard time although I'm sure that must have been a bit annoying for her. She just smiled, knew EXACTLY what I wanted, and made it happen. Even better than I had hoped!

Jennie is super sweet, her team is wonderful and her little studio is *super* cute! Ok, I will stop raving now! Thanks Jennie for making me look and feel truly *beautiful!* Needless to say, I highly recommend! :)

Jennie Kay and her team were amazing to work with! All of my bridesmaids and my mom LOVED their hair and makeup. I was so happy with the look Jennie gave me too. Jennie Kay provided exactly what I wanted for hair and make-up on my wedding day. They were extremely easy to work with, flexible, and everyone looked gorgeous. My guests commented throughout the wedding on how amazing my makeup was - I wish I could always have them around! i know i made the correct choice in having jennie kay as my bridal hair stylist.

my consult with her was very professional. i am definately the type of person to just "go with the flow" when it comes to making decisions, but jennie made sure that i didn't think only, "this looks nice...", but that i had that, "i love it!" moment.

we decided on two styles for my wedding day. the first one would be an updo for the ceremony and the second would be a half-up look for the reception. she created styles that were simple to convert, but very elegant and classy.

if she lived in the northern california, i'd visit her more often, but if you are a bride out on the east coast i'd definately contact her for a consult. she's worth each and every penny!

I got my hair done through Jennie Kay for my wedding and I could not have been happier. She did EXACTLY what I asked for (and I am VERY picky when it comes to my hair so that says alot)! All of the girls who used her were so happy with their hair too! She was very punctual, came right to our house, and even finished early! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Jennie Kay was incredible and made my feel like the most beautiful girl in the entire world on the day of my wedding. I had a large wedding party and family members who needed hair/makeup services and Jennie and team was able to accommodate everyone. She and team came right to our hotel room-- were early and brought everything we would need and then some. Jennie is so warm and friendly-- I left my wedding trial feeling like we have known eachother forever. She is so wonderful at what she does and pushes the envelope in suggesting new ideas and suggestions so her brides are not the norm-- which I LOVED! I recommend Jennie Kay for any bride who is looking for a professional hair and make-up person who will make them and look and feel their very best on their wedding day. She is a class act and RI should be happy to have her!

PERFECT! I was so worried about missing my trial and not having a chance to play around with a style before the wedding. But Jennie was AWESOME! She is a perfectionist with hair and makeup, and every piece was perfectly placed. She also did an amazing job with airbrush makeup. Usually I end up finding something to tweak a little with my hair and makeup, but I was an awe with Jennie's work. My bridesmaids also loved all their hairstyles, and my aunt loved her and Erica's work so much we were able to squeeze her in for hair and makeup too. She also has a little salon in Middletown, which worked out great since it would have been too cramped to all get ready at the hotel. I couldn't have been happier with choosing Jennie, and I would highly recommend her to any bride!

Jennie Kay was amazing! My hair and makeup was flawless on my wedding day and I am still receiving endless compliments about it. Jennie took the time to have two trials with me, the first we played with different hairstyles and I quickly learned that Jennie can do anything with hair! She is so creative. She also did my makeup with hi-def foundation, this trial was pretty far out from my wedding so she recommended when I got closer to the wedding and I had a concrete idea of what I wanted to come back for another. I went back to Jennie closer to my wedding and decided on a beautiful curly hair down look, my hair is stick straight and Jennie had those curls stay in my hair for days! Also after expressing concern because I turn very red very easily (hot, tired, alcohol) we decided to try airbrush, I fell in love with it. Jennie is so easy to talk to, its like talking to an old friend, and she listens (unlike other stylists I have tried) I was not only on of Jennie's brides but now I intend to go to Jennie with all my cut and color needs. Jennies beauty parlor is over an hour away from my house and she is worth every mile!

I can not begin to explain how remarkable Jennie and her team are. Jennie and her team did the hair and makeup for myself, my mother and 3 members of my bridal party. She was so professional and was so accommodating when I needed a last minute hair and makeup trial. She made the day of the wedding so easy because she came to our location to get us ready. The compliments on my hair and makeup were endless throughout the entire day and night. Jennie made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life and it took my husbands breath away when I turned the corner to walk down the aisle. She is truly talented, so sweet and beyond amazing at what she does. We were so lucky to be able to have her work with us on our wedding day!! Jennie is an amazing person and her cousin Amanda is great as well! I am so happy we used Jennie Kay for our wedding hair. Her and Amanda are super sweet and funny. I had a blast getting ready and I owe that to Jennie. She played PitBull on her phone for me all morning :) Aside from her great personality, her talent is AMAZING. Everyone's hair came out beautifully and held up all day (despite hurricane Irene!) Jennie was so accommodating! I love the hair feather trend and Jennie specially ordered hair feathers for the bridal party to match the bridesmaid gowns and she and Amanda put them in for everyone the morning of the wedding. I can't say enough great things about Jennie- she's THE BEST!

Words can't explain how beautiful Jennie made me feel on my wedding day! I worked with Jennie (as she was pregnant!:) for my 4/2/11 wedding at Belle Mer in Newport, RI. She did my hair and make-up, as well as my bridesmaids. I made some change ups on my hair on my wedding day, and she calmly walked through how we can make it work. It was exactly how I pictured myself looking, and I'm so glad that she made it so easy. Her crew was also very talented, and positive, and the whole day just felt like getting ready with girls. So thank you, Jennie (and crew), for making us feel so great! I highly recommend Jennie Kay for any wedding!

Jennie Kay and her sister Christie are just fantastic! They came at 9:30 and I had 3 girls for hair and 7 of us for makeup. They did an amazing job and were incredibly prepared for everything. We had plenty of time for everyone including touch ups at the end. Most of us opted for the natural look which they pulled off flawlessly. I had never worn fake eyelashes before but they really do make the eyes pop without looking too done up. Everyone looked beautiful and we had so much fun getting pampered.

Jennie Kay Murphy was an absolutely amazing person to work with! To be told over and over on your wedding day that you look "beautiful", "classic", "amazing", "gorgeous", and not to mention taking your husbands breath away the first time he saw you (lots of tears...and whispering at the alter "you look so so beautiful". All the women at the wedding had me turning around non-stop to look at my beautiful updo Jennie's team created. Jennie really listens to her brides and captured the classic look I wanted for my hair and make-up and my bridesmaids. She was always available for questions (as an out of state bride, things like where to get my nails done, etc. she wants her brides to have the best day!) and truly has a passion for wanting to make you feel amazing. I highly recommend her.

Jennie Kay did my bridal party's hair and makeup, including mine, on my wedding day. From the first time I emailed her she was responsive, warm and friendly, and flexible. She listened to what I wanted and made changes at my request, and did a fantastic job. The hair and makeup lasted the whole day despite it being one of the hottest and most humid in June. On my wedding day she and an assistant came to my hotel and they got everyone done on time, and even did my grandmother's makeup at the last minute. Jennie was also great to be around- I felt very comfortable and relaxed with her, and she even told my dad where to go to accomplish some last minute errands when we ran into issues. I would 100% recommend Jennie Kay Murphy to anyone looking for a hair & makeup stylist.

I heard about Jennie-Kay from my reception site as I was an out-of-town bride. Jennie-Kay was amazing. Her and her assistant did hair for my bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother-in-law. I could not imagine my day without her. Jennie-Kay and her assistant were prepared, on-time, and extremely accommodating to me and my wedding party. My mother-in-law just commented to me the other day just how awesome her hair came out. One of the most memorable moments of my day was when I saw my hair & make-up done. I had never felt so beautiful in my life and I stopped myself from crying so I wouldn't mess up my make-up. Jennie Kay is exactly what you need on your wedding day! She is incredibly professional, creative and down to earth. She responded quickly every time I contacted her and provided valuable feedback on my ideas- including shooting down some that would have been disasters. I appreciated her honesty and experience. She was somehow intuitively able to create the perfect look for me, despite me giving her very little direction.

Her new salon is a great place to hide away from all of the day-of chaos as you have it all to yourself and she and Christie make you feel very at home. I wholeheartedly recommend her. She made the hours before my wedding seamless and relaxing, in addition to making me feel gorgeous!

Jennie Kay Murphy was wonderful from the first conversation we had on the phone. I had a destination wedding in Newport, RI from New York and I was certainly worried about hair and mak-up services. Jennie was patient and willing to answer the many questions I had for her. She arranged a trial for me when I was only going to be in town on specific dates as well. Jennie is AMAZING! I wasn't able to have my first hair trial until a few weeks before my wedding because I live in AK, and I was nervous about the timing. Jennie was very nice and understanding and made me feel completely at ease. Before I had moved I had gotten my hairl and makeup trial done at another salon and I was devastated, so I was extremely nervous. The trial came out really nice but I had wanted to change a few colors and my hair a little bit the day of. I could not have been happier with my hair and makeup! I told her the changes I wanted and she knew exactly what I wanted! I seriously felt like a million bucks! I have never felt more beautiful! Her prices are extremely competitive, she travels, and her personality is fantastic! She brought her sister, who worked on my maid of honor and mother's makeup, and both of them looked stunning! I am so happy I went with Jennie!

Jennie Kay is the most fun little make up artist you can find. She is also Extremely talented! Working for broadway shows, television, celebs, and more, Jennie Kay is perfect for wedding day make up. Seriously Jenny was amazing to work with. I went through 3 hair and makeup people and just did not like what they did. Jennie is great. She came with a bunch of people to make sure we were ready early for photos. She is open to suggestions, and will follow the brides direction. She is also great at giving advice and offering her expertise in make up and hair.
