Wonderful Venue

Jennette's Pier event room was an amazing venue to support our wedding. Our guests had complete access to the dedicated pier deck and aquariums. The photo opportunities were immense between the event space, deck, pier and the beach. The flexibility the room provided lended itself to an amazing experience. Highly recommend Jennette's Pier for any special occasion

Built-in Plan B

Jennette’s Pier was the perfect backdrop for our wedding — breathtaking, meaningful, and well managed. Jenny Ash and her team were communicative and supportive from our first visit through the final send‑off. When storm adjustments threatened outdoor timing, they helped us with backup plans to move everything inside seamlessly. On the day, everything ran smoothly: seating, access, lighting, transitions — and guests kept complimenting the venue itself. We loved every minute there.

Amazing Ceremony and Reception!!

Jenny was absolutely amazing during this process!! We fell in love with the idea of getting married on the pier because we love the ocean but didn't want to get married on the beach with the sand. This venue was PERFECT! We could see the ocean the entire time at our reception and the views were breath taking! Everyone kept commenting on how gorgeous it was. Would 1000% recommend!

Amazing venue!

We had our wedding at Jennette’s and could not have asked for a better venue. The level of communication we had with Jenny was top notch, she was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We had the wedding of our dreams thanks to Jennette's and their wonderful team. I highly recommend having your wedding here, you won’t be disappointed!

The Most Beautiful Venue

If you want a true beach wedding, look no further. You have the option to get married on the beach next to the pier, or on the pier itself. We chose the beach and it was the most beautiful experience. The reception hall was complimented by every guest because of the breathtaking views. They provide you with tables and chairs and Jenny is very responsive during the planning process. This is the prettiest beach venue and I am so happy with my choice. It was the most perfect day.

Couldn't ask for a better beach venue!

I cannot imagine a more beautiful and perfect venue for our wedding in the Outer Banks. The view is amazing and it's unlike any other wedding venue, especially in the United States. It's also very reasonably priced for all the accommodations. The downstairs has little fish exhibits that entertain the children. The pier gives you such a romantic sweeping view of the ocean that is an unreal backdrop for your ceremony. And the ballroom upstairs has plenty of space for your reception - with the unique benefit of a wrap around porch for guests to still enjoy the outdoor ocean air. Our guests said that they had the most amazing time - as far as location, you can't get much better than this! On top of all this, Michele Bunce is an absolute gem of a person and so incredibly helpful. We pestered her with questions over a year before our wedding and she was always there to help us out and make recommendations. She made the day go so smoothly and we are so grateful for her.

Professionalism was top notch

The staff were all very responsive and professional. Going in to this, I was concerned about random people showing up in pictures and being in the way, this ended up not being an issue at all. The public were all respectful as well. The pier worked perfectly with my other vendors and catered to their needs without ever worrying me over those details. Absolutely recommend this place as a location for wedding ceremonies.

Beautiful and Unique Venue

We used Jennette's Pier for both our ceremony and reception, and it turned out just beautifully! We booked the venue without me, the bride, having seen it and I was very concerned about two things: the room seeming too large for our wedding of 75-100 and the fish on the walls of the banquet hall! Turns out, it is the perfect size for a wedding of 100, and the string light decorations completely distracted from the fish. It also simplified some of the wedding administration headaches. For example, you are allowed to leave your cars in the parking lot there overnight. Also, there is a full kitchen upstairs with the banquet hall- our caterer's definitely appreciated that. The wrap around porch was perfect for cocktail hour, and we also had a cigar bar outside during the reception. While no hard alcohol is allowed, we loved being able to bring in our own drinks, and were able to get creative! We had a full mimosa bar during cocktail hour, and there are two industrial fridges in the kitchen set aside for you to put your drinks in the day of. And trust me, people were plenty drunk with the wine, beer, and prosecco open bar! The last thing about Jennette's that was really special for us is the fact that we were able move their grand piano into the banquet hall, and were able to use it during the reception and dancing (they did charge us a couple hundred dollars for tuning it). Jennette's Pier really was the perfect venue, and they were so easy to work with too! Could not recommend it more!
PS- the photos turned out phenomenal! A lot of that was due to our photographer- Neil Thurston- but it was just such a gorgeous place to work with!

Breathtaking views!

The most beautiful venue room and view! Michele was so helpful every step of the way. She was always there to provide insight and answer my questions. Our guests fell in love with the vaulted ceilings and view of the beach and ocean. You cant beat that view!

Gorgeous venue!

The pier was a beautiful choice for our wedding and Michele (the facility coordinator) couldn’t have been anymore kind and helpful. She is great at communicating and quick to reply to any emails which made wedding planning much easier.
The pier ceremony location is absolutely beautiful (the beach would be too) and the reception room upstairs has great views over looking the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. The staff did everything they could do make it an amazing day for us. Thank you Jennette’s Pier!

Simply wonderful!

Words can’t even express how much we love Jennette’s Pier! Michele was absolutely amazing the whole time. She was very kind, sweet and always easy to contact with any questions we had. Jennette’s pier is special because there are so many beautiful spots to have your ceremony. We originally planned for our ceremony to be out on the beautiful pier. Mother Nature though had another plan in mind. So everyone worked hard and put together a beautiful ceremony for us inside with the stunning view of the ocean behind us. This venue is so beautiful and I hands down recommend you marry your best friend here!
P.S.- wedding pictures on or under the pier are to die for!

Perfect venue

We had our wedding just two weeks ago & it couldn’t have been more perfect! The pier is not only beautiful-it’s accommodating & everyone there couldn’t have been more pleasant to work with! Can’t recommend them enough!

Amazing!!!

I worked with mostly with Michele but day of I worked with Tammy and they both were wonderful!!! They both answered questions and were always around when something was needed. Michele was quick to reply to emails and answered all the millions of questions I had since I was planning my wedding for 6hours away. She was always pleasant and even gave a list of vendors in the area for us to look into.
the day of my wedding, Tammy was there to guide things along and keep an eye on everything. She was extremely helpful and even allowed us to have a different entry than the double doors from the inside of the building to the pier. All of the other staff was also very pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend this venue to everyone! Not only is it beautiful but they are wonderful people to work with!

Most amazing venue

Our wedding June 16, 2019 was nothing short of a dream come true! Michele Bunce was the most amazing event coordinator. She truly went above and beyond giving me recommendations and answering any questions I had; including the last minute before the big day jitters. Amazing venue with amazing views

Bye far the most amazing place to get married, with working with the awesome workers at jennette’s to having the best views and the pier it’s just breath taking. Jennette’s pier will always have a special place in our hearts now and it’s a must go to every time we vacation to the outer banks. Michele we worked with for booking jennette’s and when I tell you she was the best ever we mean it! People down south just treat you like family and every time I called to make payments Michele and I would always talk like we’ve known eachother for awhile. So we highly Recommend jennette’s pier for your event. We got married there May 18th 2019 and we had perfect weather to top it all off and also had about 120 people for a destination wedding considering we are from New Jersey and we all fit comfortable in the banquet room. Love the outer banks love jennette’s pier and loved out people we worked with to plan our whole wedding!

Perfect Venue for a beach wedding!

Jennette's Pier was the PERFECT place for our wedding! We got married on the pier overlooking the ocean, and it was so beautiful. The fact that the indoor banquet area is right above the pier made is easy for guests to transition to cocktail hour, and the space is perfect for any theme! Beautiful Venue

We had our wedding here in fall 2018. All of our guests gave so many compliments about the beautiful views, and stunning backdrop for our reception. We had our ceremony on the pier, and although it was very windy during the ceremony and quite chilly, our guests still appreciated the beautiful sky and ocean backdrop.

As soon as we saw the venue for the first time, we absolutely fell in love. So happy we chose Jennette's Pier!

Beautiful venue!

If you are looking for the perfect oceanfront venue, Jennette's Pier is one of the best wedding venues on the OBX! Everyone that I worked with at Jennette's was very responsive, friendly, and easy to work with. The pier hall is such a nice, large space, with amazing views. You can't beat it! I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beach wedding!

Our Wedding Event October 13, 2018

We had an amazing experience at Jennette's Pier. What a perfect venue. All of the staff were wonderful, very flexible and helpful to us and all of our vendors. The banquet room and bathrooms were very clean. We will definitely recommend the Pier to our friends and family. We hope to be able to hold another event at the Pier in the future.

This pier was the perfect location for our wedding. We faced the North Side and it was shaded and beautiful! Michele and Kaila were both wonderful
to work with. Quick and helpful responses helped me feel comfortable choosing this as our fairytale wedding location. We had a beautiful plan B location with the banquet room however with perfect weather we did not need to use it. The girls and I got dressed and ready in the huge gorgeous banquet room away from my groom! I cannot stress how wonderful and perfect my wedding was!!

I had such a fantastic experience working with Jennette's Pier! Everything was simple, done effeciently, and nonstressful. I was planning a wedding from NY, so communication was everything to me. The wedding wire site for Jennette's Pier has a 3-D virtual tour you can look at which significantly helped me!! I felt super confident about the venue. I felt like they told me their rules and regulations right off the bat and left me with very little questions! My guests fell in love with the pier and even said it was the best venue site they have ever been to. Made me feel amazing!

Jennette's Pier was the perfect venue for us! We got married on the beach next to the pier and then had the reception inside the pier. Jennette's Pier allows you to choose your own vendors and truly make your wedding dreams come true. Kaila was amazing in getting back to us quickly and working with us leading up to our special day. Our guests loved the ballroom and the fact that they could go out on the porch and enjoy the gorgeous views of the ocean! This venue was everything we could have dreamed of and more!

Jennette's Pier is an absolute dream of a venue to get married in! I can't even describe how beautiful it is! I decided I wanted to get married here after visiting the Pier even before I even got engaged. There is no other place that even comes close. Who wouldn't want to get married and have a reception out over the ocean? My guests couldn't stop talking about the sunset and the wall to wall windows showing the gorgeous views. The outside wrap around deck is perfect for cocktail hour. This venue is clean, easily fit my guest list of 150, and also had a beautiful fireplace for decorating. I can't recommend Jennette's Pier enough!

Jennette's Pier is an incredibly magical and romantic venue to have your wedding (or any special event)! My husband and I were married on the pier with the ocean singing in the background. Jennette's Pier is conveniently located to some of the nicest hotels in OBX (i.e. Surf Side Inn) so our guests had no trouble getting to and from the venue. The 2nd floor is spectacular - it boasts beautiful views of the ocean, high ceilings and plenty of natural light to dress up your event. The event staff (especially Michele Bunce) are super friendly and helpful, very organized and have great ideas to help you make your event special. The kitchen is huge with lots of coolers to chill your drinks before the event! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! :-)

Michele Bunce, director at the pier, is amazing. She was always available to answer any and all questions. The venue was absolutely beautiful and a perfect setting for a wedding. Everything was perfect and Michele and her staff were instrumental in helping us plan appropriately, they were able to supply us with a vendor list and helped us coordinate every aspect of the wedding. My daughter and her new husband said, " it was everything they envisioned and more".

Jennette's Pier was the most beautiful place that we visited when we went looking for wedding venues. As soon as we walked into their reception hall we knew this was the place where we wanted to get married and have our reception. Everyone there was amazing to work with and so nice. You seriously have the best views around when getting married and having your reception at Jennette's. Look no further for your venue, this is the place to choose.

We had an amazing time and our wedding turned out to be all we imagined and more. The staff was super helpful and friendly throughout the whole planning process, setting up and after the wedding itself.

Our wedding at Jeannette's was a dream! I couldn't have asked for a better day. Michelle was absolutely amazing and helped me every step of the way. I will recommend the pier to anyone getting married in the Outer Banks!

This place is BEAUTIFUL. The event coordinator, Michele Bunce, is super friendly and accommodating. I had to switch our venue 2 weeks before our big day and luckily it was available! The view is spectacular! The reception room itself is enormous and embellished with gorgeous wood. Any decor you choose would compliment the setting. You won't need to rent tables or chairs-they have them there! There is a bar-all you need is to rent linens. You can arrange the room they way you choose-however I suggest going with whatever Michele recommends, of course! Your guests will be impressed and you will be, too!

I wish I could give the crew at Jeannettes Pier more than just 5.0 out of 5.0. My husband and I planned our wedding from afar as we live in New Jersey and Michele was always there when needed. The day before our wedding she was even there to assist with anything we needed while we started the set up for our reception the next day. Michele is a sweetheart and I couldn't thank her enough for all that she did and offered to help with. Jennettes Pier truly has the best view of the ocean throughout your whole wedding and we are so happy we started our journey together there.

Everything about Jennette's Pier was perfect. My daughter and I found a picture online of a wedding on the pier and fell in love. We then looked it up on Wedding Wire and planned the trip to check it out. Although my daughter really wanted the wedding on Hatteras Island where my family has vacationed for about 60 years she just had to have Jennette's. We looked at about five venues and Jennette's Pier just offered the best by far. You have options to get married on the beach, pier or inside. The beautiful reception room is air conditioned and has a great large covered porch for cocktail hour and late night breaks. The view is spectacular and can't be beat. It's like getting married in the middle of the ocean! Although the wedding was on the busy fourth of July weekend the way they set it up you don't see anyone other than wedding party/guests in pictures.

Because it is a NC state facility only beer and wine could be served which was initially a bit disappointing; however, all the positives far outweighed that. Guests just raved about the location and views!

Also wanted to mention great service from the staff. Michelle responded quickly and was extremely friendly and helpful. They let us go up to check out the room numerous times while planning and Michelle provided us with a list of preferred vendors. Kaila was on site the day of and was equally friendly and supportive.

My husband and I got married two weekends ago in the OBX and decided to have our reception at Jennette's Pier. We definitely made the right choice as the pier ended up being the PERFECT place for this special event! The location was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and the JP staff was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process. We received so many compliments after the wedding regarding the beautiful scenery, especially from the balcony of Jennette's. Kyle and I will definitely be returning to the pier during each OBX vacation, as it now holds a special place in our hearts. I would highly recommend booking Jennette's for your next event! :)

We absolutely could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else besides Jennette's Pier! Between the beautiful scenery and the staff that was so friendly each and every time we visited, it was a no brained. There's no other venue on the Outer Banks quite like it.

I have to add, we had a mishap with the cupcakes that we had ordered on our wedding day (our baker mistakenly had our date wrong), and the staff at Jennette's, along with our day-of coordinator and even our photographer, helped pull a last-minute option together so we still had a cutting cake and cupcakes for our guests. It wasn't ideal of course, but we were so impressed at how smoothly everyone worked together to get us a solution so we didn't have an empty cake stand at our wedding! We are so thankful for everyone's help.

Our guests loved taking photos on the beautiful balcony and out on the pier, despite the chilly weather we had on our wedding day. And I can't wait to see our professional photos!!

Overall we would highly, highly recommend Jennette's Pier. To us, it's now a very special place in our hearts that we will be visiting again soon, and we could not have chosen a more spectacular venue to have been married at.

Jennette's Pier is the perfect venue for an OBX wedding. They have indoor, pier and beach options- we got married in January so having options was very important to us! We ended up getting married outside on the beach because it was a beautiful day :) Michele Bunce was always on top of things and very responsive to my questions. We had a perfect wedding at Jennette's and I will always cherish those memories and the people who made it all happen!

Michelle and her team at the pier were incredible! Super responsive and made me feel like we were the only wedding happening! Very flexible on our setup and tear down timing and was completely dedicated to making this the best experience possible.

My daughter and her fiancé were married at Jennette’s Pier on Saturday, October 8, 2016. As any engaged couple and their parents know, there is so much planning to making this event one of the most memorable for the bride and groom and for family and friends. From day one, Jennette’s Pier has worked closely with us to ensure that this day would be memorable. We worked with Michelle Bunce, events coordinator. She provided excellent service. Jennette’s Pier was a perfect place for Julie and Justin to have their wedding. Michelle was always available to show us the room and answer the many questions we had. On the weekend of Julie and Justin’s wedding, Hurricane Matthew decided to change direction from the weather forecaster’s predictions and move up the east coast to include the Outer Banks of NC. We dealt with the anxiety of making a decision of canceling one of the most important days of my daughter’s life or to celebrate. Michelle remained in close contact with us as weather predictions changed. We wish to thank all of our vendors for their exceptional services: Michelle Bunce, Jennette's Pier; Bethanny Bouker of OBX Affiar; John Turner at Harris Teeter, florist; Metro Rental; Andy Lawrenson DJ Services; Ryan and Rach, photographers; Stripers Bar and Grille, catering; Just Desserts, cake; A-1 Taxi, transportation for Bridal Party. For all of the vendors to work so closely for this special day during Hurricane Matthew speaks volumes of their work and dedication to their clients. We were able to host a wonderful and memorable wedding for Julie and Justin with the professional and caring attributes of all of our vendors.

The room is large, with ocean views on three sides. Plus, there is a wrap-around covered porch with chairs and tables that allows guests to sit outside if they choose. We hosted our son's Rehearsal Dinner there, and were fortunate to have great weather. As the sun set, it cast lovely colors on the foam from the breaking waves. And we also were lucky to have a full moon that night, reflecting beautifully on the water.

As for the staff, they couldn't have been more accommodating to us. We planned the entire event remotely from CT, so it could have been a disaster had Michele and Rachel not been so easy to deal with.

For all these reasons, I would highly recommend Jennette's Pier as a venue for a rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful at Jennette's Pier! Although it did rain on our wedding day, we were able to flawlessly execute a gorgeous wedding ceremony inside the Pier. The staff at Jennette's Pier was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating to the entire wedding party and guests. They made sure everything flowed as well as keeping vendors in order for setting up. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who desires to make an event their own. The venue is gorgeous as it overlooks the ocean and the view is absolutely breathtaking! We enjoyed bringing our own vendors and decorations into the mix. The staff at Jennette's Pier made it very easy to drop off stuff prior to the big day and we received our initial deposit back following the wedding. 100% recommend!!!

We absolutly LOVE Jenettes Pier!! Beautiful pier, awesome location and the staff was truly wonderful to work with!! Rachel was outstanding and always friendly and helpful! Jennette's Pier is a beautiful wedding venue! I lucked out with my wedding on July 29 - the weather was amazing! I decided to do the ceremony on the pier (facing to the left - not straight down the middle of the pier). I loved that everything was in the same location, and there was plenty of room. Upstairs the reception room is large and has a nice deck that many of my guest enjoyed! There were so many great places for pictures on the pier, beach, and dunes! Michele Bunce, the event manager, was very responsive to all my questions and was great to work with!

Jennette's Pier was our number 1 choice for our wedding venue! We did not want to settle for anything else, thus being why we waited almost 2 years!! This location has it all. I LOVED working with Jennette's Pier for our May 2016 wedding. Michele and her entire team were always so responsive to emails and were willing to meet when I was in town for the day. Michele and Rachel made sure that the entire night ran smoothly and that our every need was met! There was a huge threat of rain and Michele stayed in touch with me all week before the wedding and was always positive about the weather and helpful with rain plans. Luckily, the weather cleared up and was perfect for our pier ceremony. All of Jennette's Pier staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities are well kept and just beautiful. I could not have chosen a more perfect place for our happy day!

Michelle at Jennette's pier was amazing and truly helpful!!! If there are any questions about anything dealing with wedding and outer banks they will help!!! They went above and beyond to make sure my wedding day was everything I dreamed of!

This venue is gorgeous and I couldn't have picked a better place to get married. The people we worked with were super nice and extremely helpful. Our wedding planner Beth worked with the Jennette's Pier staff before so the planning, setup and cleanup was seamless. I loved how the reception room was separated from the public, but we were able to go down and explore if we wanted for free! Definitely look into this venue if you want to get married on the beach!

I can't begin to describe this most perfect place for a wedding! From the very first phone call we knew we had made the right decision to have our daughters wedding at Jennettes! Every person we came in contact with was great, the place is spotlessly clean, absolutely beautiful place, gorgeous views everywhere you look! It is perfect! Would definitely recommend Jennettes to anyone having a wedding in nags head!!! It's the best!!!

Jennette's Pier is a beautiful venue even in a tropical storm! Michele Bunce and her staff did an awesome job hosting. What was suppose to be a beach wedding and having to move the ceremony inside was just as beautiful if not more than we could ask for.

We have been visiting the Outer Banks and Jennette's Pier for many years. We knew this was the location we wanted for our wedding. From the minute I booked the venue, the staff at Jennette's Pier was so responsive and very helpful. They assisted from the beginning in providing regular vendors I could contact and answers to some of the many questions I had. The weather ended up not being great on our wedding day, but they made us feel so special and helped in anyway they could. They picked guests up from the parking lot, helped run wedding items up in the rain, and make sure I had a place to change into my dress. The entire staff consists of some of the very nicest people I have ever met. These are the people that will remember you each time you come back to visit! I'm so glad we went with our first choice of Jennette's Pier!

If you're going to get married in the OBX, there is no way you can pick a more beautiful or iconic location than Jennette's Pier. The reception space on the 2nd floor of the pier is spacious, extremely clean, and well maintained, and the view over the beach and the ocean from the deck is something that every single one of our guests will surely remember. Working with Jennette's was such a stress free and easy process. They were so flexible, letting us come in and look around literally any time we popped out to the beach for the weekend, and they returned our phone calls and emails with patience and speed. They let us come in to set up for the reception a full 24 hours before what was stated in our contract, which really made the day of our wedding so much more stress free.

Perhaps the greatest hidden benefit of a reception at the pier, every vendor in the OBX, from caterers to DJs, is extremely familiar with the layout and requirements of the space as it it such a popular spot, so coordinating all those details for the reception was a breeze.

Michelle at Jennette's Pier was great to work with. She was able to respond to my emails and requests in a timely manner, always friendly, and helpful with providing previous vendors that have worked at Jennette's. The sticker price of the pier was an initial shock, but in the end it was definitely worth every penny!!

It was a beautiful venue and exactly everything we were looking for. Plenty of space a gorgeous wrap around deck for our guests to enjoy the wonderful ocean views and amazing service from both Michele and my coordinator Rachel moser! The venue is absolutely gorgeous on the inside and out. It provides numerous areas for your ceremony whether you want to get married on the pier, beach, or indoors. The wrap around deck lends itself to a beautiful cocktail hour. One thing to keep in mind is that you need to rent a dance floor. There is also a classroom on the first floor which can be rented if you want to provide babysitters for your guests. The pier staff is amazing to work with and extremely responsive. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone. They helped make our special day perfect.

The perfect venue for an indoor wedding on the beach. There was a heavy rain and lightning during my reception and thanks to Jennette's pier we were indoors on the dance floor with a beautiful view of the storm outside! The staff, space, view, amenities all the way down to parking was amazing. I will be back at Jennette's for our 10th year wedding anniversary party without a doubt. There is no better place to spend the best day of your life at the beach with all your friends and family!

Beautiful OBX venue! We had our ceremony and reception in the upstairs Oceanview Hall. My husband and I were initially considering an event home for our wedding, but when we visited the pier, we immediately saw ourselves getting married here... Jennette's Pier is the perfect place to celebrate and you must stop by to see for yourself! No event home would have been able to provide us with such a gorgeous view, space for our guests and wheelchair accessibility. We have received so many compliments about the venue and can't wait to visit again.

The staff is very friendly and a breeze to work with... Michele Bunce and Rachel Moser were always so kind and helpful! We hired Beth Pallett as our day-of coordinator.. everything was PERFECT because of her priceless experience and insight!!!! She is so pleasant to work with and truly made our wedding weekend stress-free by handling the details! Several of our vendors also mentioned that Jennette's Pier is one of their favorites.. just simply a beautiful venue with an amazing view!

We could not have imagined a better venue for our ceremony (on the beach alongside the pier) and reception. Having our reception at Jennette's Pier allowed us to research and find more budget friendly options in terms of catering, drinks, and decorating. Jennette's Pier is so gorgeous, with it's cathedral ceilings, plentiful windows overlooking the ocean, and beautiful fixtures, that a lot of decorations weren't needed.
We received so many compliments from our guests that our wedding venue was the best they had ever been to. Many enjoyed walking out onto the balcony, overlooking the pier and ocean, to get some fresh air and take in the gorgeous scenery of the OBX, especially on a lovely night with a full moon!!!
Additionally, the staff, especially Michele, was extremely friendly, flexible, responsive to all emails and accommodating to all needs.
You won't be disappointed having your reception here!!!! There isn't a single negative aspect about Jennette's Pier that I could find!

We had our wedding reception at Jennette's Pier ......and WOW!! This place is BEAUTIFUL inside and out!! It has a huge space so everyone is together and an awesome wrap around porch for our guests wanting to view the ocean, get some fresh air and feel the breeze! Our guests are still raving about our venue...it was absolutely stunning! I know my husband and I...and other guests will be back and have recommended this venue to others as well! Every bride and groom should go running to Jennette's Pier! Not only was the venue gorgeous, but the staff and event coordinator (Michele) made the months leading up to the wedding stress free! When scouting venues on the outer banks for our wedding, I was honestly reluctant to book the pier because of their no liquor policy. However, once we walked into the gorgeous room overlooking the ocean, we knew it was the perfect venue, and we are so happy we chose it! We had 110 people, and there was plenty of space in the huge room for our size.
We got married on the beach next to the pier, and lucked out when the sun came out and it ended up being the perfect cool late September day. Our guests were then completely wowed when they went upstairs to see the gorgeous room, and porch overlooking the Ocean. We had amazing vendors who really helped made the space feel like home, and our guests could not stop talking about how great it was to be right on the water. We danced the night away, guests enjoyed the porch all night long, and overall it was the perfect venue. We worked with Michelle throughout the planning process and she was excellent. Always quick to respond to emails and questions and make sure everything ran smoothly for us. We couldn't be happier we chose the pier for our wedding, and everyone had a fabulous time.

We were so happy that we decided to go with Jennette's Pier for our wedding! Michele Bunce was extremely helpful throughout the planning process and answered all of my emails within 24 hours. The weather was gorgeous for our wedding so we were lucky enough to have the ceremony outside next to the pier, but we felt confident that it would've been an easy transition if we needed to move the ceremony inside. It was great to have the porch for guests to take a break from dancing and enjoy the view. I'd highly recommend this location to any bride and groom!

When we went to see Jennette's Pier for the first time, my fiancé and I knew this was the perfect place to get married. Michele was extremely helpful with random questions I constantly threw at her. Everyone raved about how beautiful my venue was for the beach ceremony and reception in the upstairs hall. The 3 wall ocean view was spectacular and can't be beat! I cannot say enough great things about Jennette's Pier. It is the perfect location to get married in the OBX! When I started my venue search, I wanted my guests to be able to enjoy actually being at the beach while at our wedding, and the Pier provides the perfect place for this! We couldn't have asked for a better view of the ocean. From the views to the staff, we could not be any happier with the way things turned out! We plan on making the Pier a permanent place to visit in the future.

Jennette's Pier was everything I expected it to be! Michelle and Beth were wonderful to work with. They were both very responsive when I needed something and both always knew who I was when I called or dropped in. The reception area is used for classes and lectures as well as parties, so there are some parts that are rather utilitarian looking. I would highly recommend using a decorator who is familiar with the venue so they can make sure the unsightly edges are hidden. The Pier also has a grand piano, which we used for reception music and entertainment.

Originally, we considered using a large rental house as our ceremony and reception space. We had driven in for the weekend and visited almost 2 dozen houses; unfortunately none felt like a good fit. On a whim, we swung by Jennette's Pier as we were leaving town. We met with Michele who showed us the space and immediately we fell in love.

The interior was comfortable and spacious. The kitchen / bathroom facilities provided more than enough room and there was even a bar we could utilize. The clincher was the wrap around porch with the white rocking chairs. Standing outside, overlooking the ocean and the pier felt absolutely magical; the view was breathtaking. We just knew our guests would be as awed as we were.

The entire process, from reserving the venue, to paying for it, to chatting with Michele regarding random decorating questions -- was seamless. We visited multiple times, in the almost 2 years since we booked it, and each time Jennette's Pier greeted us with open arms. They were an absolute pleasure to work with, from day one.

Fast forward to the day of our wedding:
We held the ceremony outside on the sand, to the left of the pier. We had the chairs arranged in a semi circle, facing our bamboo alter. A surfing competition was wrapping up during our ceremony and strangely enough, the surfers skimming the water were a nice touch.

The reception and cocktail hour were held in the space on the 2nd floor. We had approximately 70 guests and there was plenty of space for all the bodies, tables, chairs, dance area and bar. We dimmed the lights, lit hundreds of candles and had an amazing time.

Bottom Line
If Michele and the Jennette's Pier employees were here, I'd hug them. They were professional from start to finish, and I'm thrilled we listened to our intuition that day. Afterwards, our guests raved about the venue - and we were beyond satisfied.

My partner and I had our ceremony and reception at Jennette's Pier. We booked it based on pictures and were certainly not disappointed. The room is absolutely gorgeous and very conducive to a well-run wedding (nice bathrooms, huge kitchen, plenty of tables and chairs). We worked with Michele leading up to the wedding and Beth on our wedding day and both were absolutely lovely to work with. Everyone was incredibly friendly, accommodating and helpful. We got so many compliments of the lovely space and the staff really made planning a breeze. We couldn't have been happier with our venue choice and would highly recommend it to anyone considering an outer banks wedding.
