Absolutely The Best!

Mary was absolutely amazing to work with! I would highly recommend her to anyone! When I bought my wedding dress it was strapless and Mary redesigned the top to have a higher neckline and add sleeves while keeping to back open. It turned out gorgeous and she went above and beyond to hand dye lace when we couldn't find a color to match! My dress fit so perfectly too! She was always willing to work my schedule, she was always professional and her prices are so good for her quality work! She also did my moms dress and she was also so impressed!

Dream Dress Thanks to Mary!

Mary redesigned part of of my wedding dress, and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome! After buying my gown, I had buyer’s remorse because I wasn’t thrilled about the neckline. I couldn’t return it, but it ended up working out perfectly because Mary listened to my vision, and absolutely transformed my gown into my DREAM DRESS!! She is so creative, talented, and has the most calming and confident demeanor. I thought the task might be too daunting, but she didn’t bat an eye when I asked if it was possible. She is so sweet and honestly, my dress experience with her was one of my favorite pre-wedding experiences. It was so much fun bonding with her during my appointments and seeing my dress evolve into the most perfect and unique masterpiece for me! She is TRULY an artist!!

Jenny and Mary were easily my favorite part of this whole wedding planning experience! My wedding was in November and I reached out in September not giving myself a lot of time for alterations, from the get go they were so reassuring that I would be taken care of and everything would be ok. I had some dress regret going into alterations and they took the time to listen to what I wanted to change about the dress and suggested things I could add on to make it feel more me. My dress was done the week of my wedding with time for last minute alterations and they even got one of my bridesmaids from out of countries dresses altered the weekend before. I did have a black sash on the dress that we took off last minute before pictures, but Jenny and Mary always made me feel confident and beautiful in my dress. I strongly recommend anyone looking for alterations to go to JenMar Creations :) I know I will be using them for any future alterations I need.

Hidden Gems

Jenny and Mary are true magicians with the sewing machine. I came to them under recommendation of my coworker. I brought with me a size 10 dress I found and loved but I was a size 4. Jenny and Mary had to shrink that dress into my size. It was quite a feat for them but they did a fantastic job. Jenny and Mary were not your ordinary seamstress they are so warm and caring, it felt like they were long lost aunties. They were very meticulous about sewing and on all things wedding attire related. From the kind of bra to wear, to the kind of Spanx to get, to how to break in my heels, they were phenomenal. I would recommend JenMar anytime. Ladies I would trust to make me look good.

Jenny & Mary are wonderful and made my wedding dress look PERFECT for the big day! They saw some things that needed to be fixed that I didn't even realize. Also, they made my bustle on my dress a dream! My sister and all of her friends also use Jenny and Mary for every wedding and bridesmaids dress they need altered. I would recommend them to everyone!

Working with Jenny and Mary was an absolute pleasure. I put off getting alterations on my dress until the last minute (don't do this) and they got me in and did an excellent job. They are so friendly and professional.

The ladies were wonderful. They took on a last minute project and it turned out great. It is a smaller operation so if you're looking for glitz and glam, this isn't it but their skills are there. I highly recommend them. They took in my dress, pressed and steamed it, and put in a bustle. Very quick turn around and very easy to work with.

JenMar Creations has been a part of my wedding, my family's, my friends', and we wouldn't do it any other way! They make beautiful gowns, veils, belts, accessories and really take the time to make the bride and her crew feel important. The person I originally was going to go with ended up backing out on me so I was in search for a new tailor at last minute. They were able to get me in and alter my dress absolutely perfectly! It could not have fir any better than it did. They also added a belt that made it look like it belonged on the dress. Such wonderful ladies who make you feel like you have known them forever!

Jenny and Mary are extremely talented ladies! They did alterations on my bridal gown--which included a lot of detailed beading work-- and they did an amazing job for a very reasonable price. On top of that, they are so nice and lovely to talk to. It was such a pleasure working with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I worked with Mary from Jenmar and knew from the first appointment that I was in great hands. These two women (Mary and her sister Jenny) are AMAZING! Mary helped me turn an ivory bridesmaid dress into a gorgeous wedding dress for a very reasonable price but that was probably a boring task for her considering what they can do! Some of the other dresses they showed us were created from scratch in crazy short amounts of time and were absolutely gorgeous. I would trust any alterations to them in a heartbeat!

I knew the minute I met with Jenny that I had made the right decision on a tailor for my wedding dress! Very professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Jenny and her sister Mary, own the business have been in the wedding industry for quite some time and have tips on how to save you money! I highly recommend them to everyone!! Jenny and Mary are the wedding fairy godmothers you didn't know you needed until you find them. I was introduced to them when they did alterations for a friends wedding, but I had them make my dress. They find many dresses, old and new, at sales and do complete redesign. Their skill is amazing. At no point do you feel lost or helpless, and you almost feel like a princess. They also do this at a ridiculously low price (raise your prices, ladies! just a little!) so you feel like you're in some kind of really happy dream. I want my marriage to last forever, but I almost wish I could get married again and again every year or so just to have them make a new perfect dress over and over. I'm short and round. They gave me an actual shape! Admittedly, it was the full-on Scarlett O'Hara lace-up experience, but it worked! I am looking forward to returning the dress and having them make a christening gown out of the skirt for any children I have.

I can't say enough AMAZING things about Jenny and Mary!! I had come across a very unique wedding dress that was only sold in another country and was very expensive, so I found JenMar Creations to help me custom make my vision of my wedding dress, I'm so glad I found them, I couldn't be any happier!!! They made my vision come to life with a beautiful wedding dress and I can't thank them enough!! Jenny and Mary went along with me to look at several dresses that I tried on. They look to see if they could make them for a cheaper price and they gave recommendations. I was on an extreme budget because I did not want to take a loan out for my wedding. I also the type of guy who really didn't care about the details of my wedding just really wanted to get married. I found a dress that I really liked, but of course it is very expensive and would have been cheaper to buy. I found a dress that I would choose as a second option, however it needed work. It was clearance and off the rack. They took it in and transformed it into the most beautiful thing you ever saw. Nothing like it looked like when we took it out of that store. They took the time to make my personality shine through that dress.

JenMar Creations helped me with not only one wedding dress but THREE! I ordered my wedding day dress from China and it was a train wreck, but they made it into everything I envisioned. They also helped redesign my mom's dress while still keeping it similar to the original, I loved it! Jenny and Mary were wonderful to work with!

JenMar Creations: The best dress experience I could have ever hoped to have! If I could, I would give them 10 stars! From start to finish, Jenny and Mary made my dress experience an amazing one for not only me, but for my mom as well. Their warmth and kindness are only exceeded by their remarkable skill and talent. The second dress I tried on in their studio was a great fit and became the shell and foundation of something truly magical. We had multiple visits and fittings as they transformed a dress into something that fit perfectly, comfortably, and exceeded all expectations. These women and their talents are a gift to any bride!

Jenny and Mary were fabulous to work with! I could not have asked for a better wedding dress experience. I met them at a Wedding Fair and found a dress on a mannequin that I absolutely knew I would buy - I did a few weeks later. They were so patient and kind with me (and my bridal party). At what was supposed to be my last fitting, they did an amazing job with completing alterations in a speedy manner afterwards (I had the stomach flu and needed many alterations for my dream dress to fit again). I felt so special and cared about throughout my entire experience with Jenny and Mary. I am thankful we found them to give me the personalized attention that I needed to create a dress that will make me feel beautiful on my special day. Thank you Jenny and Mary! I brought my Grandmother's wedding dress from 1957 to Jenmar and it was a very small size (my Grandmother weighed 98 pounds when she got married and I do NOT). I had called around to other places and they said they couldn't make the dress bigger or the price was outrageous. When I brought it to Jenmar I couldn't believe the talent of these two sisters. They were so confident that they could make my Grandmothers dress fit me that I left the dress in their hands before I was even engaged. When it finally came time to do the fittings and then actually wear the dress I was floored by their work. My Grandmothers dress not only fit but it was white, when I had brought it was yellowed. The price was unbelievable too working with my budget and what needed to be done, they were very accommodating. Wearing my Grandmothers wedding dress was amazing and to have my Grandmother see me in it was priceless. It was a surprise to my Grandmother and was a dream come true to share that special moment with her. It was all thanks to Jenmar. They are miracle workers.

JenMar Creations did a fabulous job on my daughter's wedding dress. They incorporated the lace from my wedding dress of 33 years ago into my daughter's dress as well as adding that touch of color to coincide with the bridesmaids' dresses. My daughter's dress turned out absolutely perfect!! Also, JenMar created the perfect dress for me. It was simple but elegant. I got more complements on my dress. I had a vision and they made that vision into a beautiful reality. Thank you JenMar Creations for creating the perfect "creation" for my daughter and me.

I could not have been more excited to wear my wedding dress, Jenmar did an amazing absolutely job on the dress. I got more people telling me they have never seen anything like that it. It was so unique it was perfect. I honestly cant say enough about them, they know trends and fashion, and know what looks good. They were perfect!

Jen and Mary were the BEST to work with when I needed alterations for my wedding gown. I am 5ft 2in so I obviously needed some length taken off my dress as well as straps added and they went above and beyond to make sure my dress was custom fit for me. I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

These ladies are so fun and so talented! I had several things done to my dress including adding bling features, hemmed for heels and flats, the sides were taken in...a few times, and more. My weight fluctuated DRASTICALLY during the whole process so it was hard to tell where I would be when I went in my last two weeks. However, Mary and Jenny took care of me and were happy to do it! They are so flexible to making sure you get exactly what you want, my dress turned out PERFECT. I had zero problems my entire wedding day and the on/off/bustle process was so simple. I loved every minute working with these ladies and laughed a lot! Check them out, they are so so so worth it! :)

I had the ladies of JenMar alter both a bridesmaid dress for a friends wedding and then my own wedding dress. They came as a recommendation from another friend that was also using them. My dress worked out very well. I should have probably ordered one size smaller, so they had some alterations to do. I was very happy with the results. They were kind and professional. They are excellent at what they do. The dress fit very well and was great all day long. They also created the veil for me which was great and really reasonable in price. I would definitely use them again in the future.

When I saw quite a few recommendations for JenMar Creations on theknot.com, I decided to contact them for my dress alterations - and I am so glad that I did!! Jenny worked with me for the majority of these alterations, and her sister Mary handled the bustle. They were not only very experienced with wedding dresses, their personalities were very friendly and welcoming; I truly felt comfortable during every visit and never pressured. Jenny was very thorough in making sure all of my wishes were addressed throughout the entire process. When I first bought my dress it was about 6 sizes too big, and it ended up fitting and looking perfect! Jenny also had many wonderful ideas about ways to customize the dress and make it unique.

Even from my limited experience with wedding dresses, I would verify that their prices are very reasonable and flexible. Jenny made sure she was aware of my budget from day one and made sure to update me with the final total after every decision. Since I ended up getting a bit more custom work done, my total ended up a bit over my $300 budget, but I couldn't be more happy with the result. She also altered my sister's bridesmaid's dress which was also very affordable.

Potential customers should note that since this is a private business, all of the meetings are done in the basement of Jenny's home. This actually ended up being a nice factor because of the increase in privacy - they go by appointment and there is no chance of other customers walking in unannounced. It is also nice to see all of their current projects on display - their custom work looks amazing! If I did it again (but hopefully not!) I would definitely look into their custom dresses. Overall both sisters did a wonderful job and I would recommend them to any bride or bridesmaid looking for an affordable place to get alterations!

I bought a dress from a Sample Sale, then I lost 25 lbs. JenMar Creations really had their work cut out for from. My dress had lace, and intricate beading. JenMar did a nice job with my dress and I loved it.

I got a beautiful wedding dress at an enormous discount through JenMar Creations. They had to take it in a couple of times, and I was a bit freaked out when they started sharing stories about how zippers break and some brides need to get sewn into their dresses! It's worth noting that they expect brides to stop losing weight between the first fitting and final fitting. However, they did make alterations and they were beautiful. A good chunk of the bling they sewed on the straps fell off, but I think it was bound to happen! I'd definitely recommend them for huge discounts and gorgeous dresses.

JenMar is the place to go if saving a buck is the only thing you want out of a wedding vendor. Jen and Mary put penny pinching very high on their list of priorities and quality, professionalism and attention to detail very low. If you do decide to go with them spell everything out (literally, give them the information you discuss in writing) because they may not take notes, or if they do take notes, they may consider what you say optional. Consider bringing your own fabric, because even if you pick out fabric from their supply, it may dissappear a few weeks before the wedding. Lastly, tell them your wedding is a month before the actual date, because you may end up bringing it elsewhere to fix.
