Absolutely loved my experience with Jenessa

I found Jenessa online while looking for my bridal hair and makeup - after seeing her work portafolio I decided to contact her. From the beginning the communication was excellent and within minutes. She answered every single one of my questions and we were able to schedule the bridal trial a few weeks before the wedding. During both the trial and the wedding day, Jenessa (makeup artist) and Cathy (hair stylist) were amazing, they surpassed my expectations and did a beautiful job with my skin tone and hair, they also made my bridal party look incredible. Throughout the process Jenessa communicated with me and kept me updated which is a huge relief when dealing with tight schedules. I cannot recommend her enough, I really enjoyed working with her and her work and ethic is simply outstanding!!!

Jenessa is wonderful

We hired Jenessa for wedding makeup for me (the bride) and the whole wedding party. She did a great job - everyone looked fabulous. She was also patient and helpful when working with people who weren’t used to getting their makeup done or who wanted nontraditional makeup styles. I’d highly recommend hiring her for your big day.

Excellent with all ages

Jenessa did great with all the make up for my wedding party and family. She gave each person the time they needed to get the look they wanted. Her approach was quick and she was understanding when our schedule got off track a bit (Grandma over slept :)

Wonderful To Work With

Jenessa was amazing to work with. I was a decisive bride with photo inspo and a clear vision but my sisters and mother didn't have a clue what they wanted. Not only did she perfectly execute my look, she took the time to help each individual look and feel their absolute best. She was quick to respond to my messages and punctual for both my trial and day of. Highly recommend her services and will be using her for any event I find myself at in the future.

So easy to work with!

I just had my makeup trial with Jenessa for my wedding, which is only a month away. She did such a great job listening to me and giving me a natural look, which is usually a struggle for wedding artists, in my experience. I don't know what products she used or if it had anything to do with her technique, but a nice little bike ride and a power nap later and this makeup still looks fresh! When I told her I hadn't locked down anyone for my hair yet, she went to work immediately contacting her hairstylists and messaged me when she found someone that was available for my date (again, only a month away). She's been incredibly responsive and easy to work with so far - I'm very excited to work with her on my big day!

Jenessa was so wonderful to work with and did such a beautiful job with our makeup. My bridesmaids and I all have very different styles when it comes to makeup and Jenessa did an amazing job catering to each of us, while also making us look beautiful together in group photos. I would recommend her to any bride! She works quickly and we had so much fun with her and the hair stylist she chose, Danielle. Both wonderful and made the day stress-free and enjoyable for me, bridesmaids, & moms! Don’t look any further - she’s your gal!

Great experience!

Jenessa was so great to work with for our wedding day and trial. She was so quick to respond to our questions and she was flexible with timing leading up to our big day since we had a larger group of girls to get ready. Our bridesmaids said she was great to talk with while she was applying make up. We would highly recommend her for events.

October Wedding

Jenessa and crew did the hair and make-up for my wedding and I was very pleased. She was prompt and kept the line moving! We have over 12 girls getting make-up done and we finished ahead of schedule! The air brush stayed on all night long, and trust me I was dancing! Thanks again!

She was wonderful

Jenessa came out from Chicago to Wheaton to do all my entire party. She made us all feel so comfortable, as we've never had airbrush done before. If you're worried about airbrush, know it didn't budge all night, despite sweating and tears. We all looked gorgeous, I highly recommend using her

Wedding make up

Janessa and her team were awesome! Her makeup looks very natural and pretty. She includes lashes and airbrushing in her price so it was very affordable. The hair stylists did a great job giving everyone exactly what they wanted.

Best Makeup Ever!

I had the pleasure of meeting Jenessa Blaine for my sons wedding. Jenessa did a phenomenal job. We had 13 girls including the bride and she got us all done with time to spare. My makeup looked very natural yet dramatic enough for the "mother of the groom". She was friendly, professional and quick! I would use her again with no reservations in a heart beat.

Wonderful Experience

I was drawn to Jenessa's website because of her location and stellar reviews. Once I saw photos of her work I was excited to set up my trial. I was unsure about airbrush and falsies, but now I am so glad I went with it as my wedding day was long & wet. And after the trial day I knew that it would hold up the whole day no matter what. She has a gift to enhance your palette and keep the final look flawless yet natural. She is incredibly flexible and willing to be there for you on your timeline. Thanks again, Jenessa!

Fair price and awesome service!

First off - Jenessa and her team were awesome! Jenessa from the very beginning was really flexible with her dates and times when planning my trial run for my makeup. She also bore with me as I changed my number of bridesmaids getting their hair and make up done every two minutes and answered the number of questions I had. She was always prompt getting back to me and let me know everything up front. On the day of the wedding she showed up on time with her crew and got each girl done efficiently and looking BEAUTIFUL! I had a few girls that were on the fence about getting airbrush make up done because they had a few poor experiences, but decided to do it anyway and they loved it! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for fair priced makeup services and a job well done. Thank you Jenessa!!

Jenessa was great to work with for our wedding. She was flexible and responded to all of our questions promptly. She provides a high quality service that's customizable to what you need and fits the style of your day. She did makeup for people varied in age range, and everyone looked great. Makeup lasted well all night and turned out well in photos, despite being outside and the heat.

Jenessa was such a pleasure to work with for my wedding on May 19th! She was very relaxed and would listen to what everyone had asked with their makeup and hair styles. She was very calm and relaxed which helped my wedding jitters on the big day! Jenessa was amazing! From the very beginning she was professional, prompt, efficient, and in my opinion could not have done a better job. I hired her and did my trial run for my engagement photos which turned out perfect. She came to my venue in Chicago and provided make-up services including airbrush and eyelashes to myself, all 6 of my bridesmaids and my mom for my April wedding. Everyone looked gorgeous and the makeup stayed all day. We just got our pictures back and her work truly shines through. I would highly recommend Jenessa for any make up needs!

Jenessa came in and did the makeup for my staff a few weeks ago for our corporate photos. She did a really fantastic job. Jenessa was a joy to work with during my wedding makeup trial session and on the big day. On the wedding day, she arrived early, set-up her products and got to work with ease and efficiency. Jenessa was remarkable and I'm so glad she was our make up artist for our wedding! We hired her to do my make up for our engagement pictures and it was such a great job we ended up hiring her for the big day too. She is personable and easy to work with. She does a high quality job and she is also quick, without being rushed. For my wedding day, I had 12 total people that needed make up done. Jenessa was able to find another stylist to help out to ensure we got everyone done without feeling rushed. We all felt amazing and Jenessa's airbrush and make up skills are top of the line. My experience with Jenessa Blaine was AMAZING! She is a true professional and really knows how to make you look beautiful on your special day. I received so many compliments on my makeup at my wedding and when people saw my photos. Jenessa did my makeup with little direction from me and it was as if she read my mind--she just knew what would look best on me. I guess that is what happens when you have as much professional experience as she does. Jenessa was great to work with and easy to talk to. I would recommend her to everyone I know and those who are looking for a fabulous make up artist.

Jenessa did a wonderful job the day of my wedding. My makeup looked absolutely beautiful and so did that of my bridesmaids and the moms. Jenessa did my makeup for my wedding in August. She was nothing short of AMAZING to work with!!! She was prompt arriving, efficient in getting done and the look she crafted for me was exactly what I wanted. She was flawless in her application and the makeup stayed set in place ALL DAY through a hot Chicago day & lots of photography, venue changes, etc! I was incredibly happy. I had a great experience with Jenessa as my make up artist for my September 2016 wedding. She was easy to communicate with from the beginning and I scheduled my make up trail right away. I knew she was the right choice when she listened to all of my make up fears before starting. When she was done my mom was practically in tears. Booked her for the big day on the spot. My make up from the trial stayed put during one of the hottest days in July.
The day of, she was quick and efficient working through my mom, MIL, 3 friends and myself. Each gal had an airbrushed finish complete with a set of lashes.
Overall great experience and it was so nice that she came to me at the hotel rather than having to run around from salon to salon. Would definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone in the Chicagoland area.

Of all the things that I had to do for my wedding, finding a makeup artist turned out to be the hardest?! I tried a number of different artists/makeup lines and the look was just never right. The makeup was either too light or too heavy. Jenessa was recommended to me by my wedding planner and she did a fantastic job. The trial make up was perfect and struck just the right tone of light airy makeup that still looked good in pictures. Jenessa was responsible, responsive and had all-around great energy. I highly recommend her for any bride who wants to look their best on their wedding day.

Jenessa did a great job with my makeup for my wedding! She was extremely professional and so easy to work with! The makeup was perfect and I felt like a beautiful bride that day! Also, she was extremely efficient. She was able to get my makeup, two moms, and 5 of my bridesmaids in the timeframe we gave her and did a great job on everyone!! The makeup lasted all day and night on a hot August day/outdoor wedding!

Makeup Artistry by Jenessa Blaine is amazing!!!! Jenessa did my wedding makeup, as well as the make-up for my bridesmaids and mom. From the beginning it was an awesome experience. Jenessa came to me for my make-up trial, which was awesome, especially because a lot of places want you to travel to them. She worked with me to create a look that I loved, and really made me feel comfortable instantly. The day of the wedding, Jenessa was a dream to work with. Everyone loved their make-up, it photographed beautifully, but didn't look harsh in person. It was especially impressive that she can work with all skin tones and skin types extremely well. Our makeup lasted the entire day- and looked flawless the entire day!! She truly is one of the best!

Jenessa is a fantastic makeup artist. She helped make everyone look so beautiful. She is flexible and will come to you to help you get ready wherever you are. She was on time and a true professional. I would definitely recommend to anyone else who is looking for a great makeup artist.

Jenessa did a great job on the makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mom. I was really afraid of being "over-done" because I don't usually wear makeup, but we all looked stunning and "natural". I was a big fan of her use of the airbrush. I didn't even feel like I was wearing makeup.

Oily skin ladies be upfront

Jenessa was kind and professional both at my makeup trial and the day of my wedding this past weekend. I had no hesitation booking her after the trial as I looked naturally beautiful and she listened to my opinions on the spot. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that I feel there was a lapse in communication between the trial and wedding day. With my very oily skin I suggested she add some kind of setting powder or cream to counteract this on the day of, however, on my wedding day it was like this conversation didn't happen. My bridesmaids and I ended up touching up our makeup with our own oil control powder just an hour after she was finished as we were all pretty shiny. It ended up being fine and we all looked beautiful; it was just more inconvenient than anything.
