The best wedding photographer in Virginia!
Working with Jen was an absolute delight. She was incredibly thorough in getting to know us and our hopes for our wedding photos, and captured our day in the ethereal and timeless way we dreamed of. Her passion, talented eye, and expertise shone through with every direction and pose suggestion. It never felt awkward, we just felt like us at our best in front of her lens. We couldn’t have felt luckier to have her there with us on our wedding day to take the photos we’ll look back on for a lifetime. -

Jen photographed our wedding and did an incredible job while somehow making sure we had fun (I'm nervous in front of the camera!). I have never felt so photogenic or seen SO many perfect photos that captured our friends and family. Not only did she get beautiful stills, she also captured a million amazing moments that we will treasure forever. Jen truly is the best - and we heard so many of our friends and family say they had never seen such good photos. -

Jen is an absolutely amazing photographer. It was such an honor to have her take our engagement, rehearsal dinner, & wedding photos. She is sooo talented and fun to work with. I can hardly even gather the words to describe how absolutely spectacularly talented and unbelievably kind Jen is. I am in absolute awe of our wedding photos. Our wedding album captures all of the joy and love from our day so perfectly, and my husband and I could not be more thankful. The winds on the day of our wedding reached up to 40mph, and not only did Jen manage to make sure everybody looked normal in our photos (I was fearing the worst, hair-wise), she also leaned into the moment and captured some absolutely AMAZING shots that we will treasure forever. She delivered a perfect mix of photos that included portraits, candids, and artistic shots, and we love them all. And Jen’s upbeat attitude put everyone at ease when posing for photos. She made the day so fun, and we are just so grateful. During the planning process, Jen was there every step of the way if we had any questions and was so excited to share her ideas. She was a true partner throughout it all!
In addition to our wedding, Jen also traveled up to NYC (where my husband and I live) to do our engagement shoot. We loved getting to know her in advance of our wedding day, and Jen did a fantastic job capturing the feel of the city. We wanted some urban shots since we knew we were having a more countryside-esque wedding in Charlottesville, and she executed our vision perfectly.
In short, Jen is incredible. We are so glad that we hired her, and you will be too!

Jen is a true artist. Her pictures have the ability to make you feel like you were there! Jen is such a hard worker, she did not stop the entire day/night. There was 100% chance of rain on our day and it did not impact her ability to get perfect pictures. Jen literally stood in the pouring rain just to make sure we got the perfect shot! Do yourself a favor and hire her, there is no one better to capture your day! -

Jen did our engagement photo shoot session...and we thought THOSE photos were the best ever! After receiving our wedding photos both my Husband and I realize that Jen is the best photographer in Virginia and is a must hire to capture the most important moments of a wedding day! She is behind the scenes but simultaneously capturing the critical moments! We absolutely love her and would recommend to anyone!!! -

Jen takes the most gorgeous photos. Simple as that!
I cannot say enough good things about her as a photographer. She captured moments and memories we will cherish forever. She made us feel instantly comfortable, knew where to position us for creative photos, and has an eye for unique (yet classic) shots. Her candids are full of life and each staged photo is intentional and thoughtful. And do not get me started on her film photos! AH!
Jen was the first vendor we booked, a bit out of our budget, but worth every cent. She knows what she is doing! Trust her! -

Truly the best of the best!
What a WONDERFUL and talented human! We just loved working with Jen (and her team!) and are thrilled with their photos. It will be hard to pick among all the gems which ones we want to include in our book and frame... what a wonderful problem to have. Jen really captures the moment. Her photos don't feel contrived -- just genuine and lovely. My matron of honor actually told me, "I honestly can’t believe how good everyone looks in these. Maybe the only photos I’ve ever liked of myself!" In addition to her excellent photography, Jen is a wonderful person to be around on a busy wedding day -- you can tell she loves photographing weddings! -

Melissa Sent on 01/04/2018JEN. Where to even begin....this woman is a genius. From the moment I met her at my engagement shoot, to the last minutes of the wedding, I knew that I couldn't be in better hands - her talent knows no bounds. She has the most calming, genuine, and sweet personality, my friends and I have joked that we actually miss her since the wedding ended. Not to mention she is a trooper. We wanted our first look to be at the Lincoln Memorial, but it happened to be the coldest winter since the early 1900s. Despite this, Jen bundled up, put her game face on, and took the most epic pictures - with a smile on her face. She made my day so special, made me feel SO comfortable, and captured the most special moments of my entire life. Thank you Jen, you are amazing.

Shaun Sent on 05/11/2015Jen Fariello did the photography for our wedding at Pippin Hill on May 1st 2015. She also did our engagement pictures prior to that. My wife and her mom initially met with Jen along with a few other photography options and she was by far the best. Carrie called me right after meeting with Jen and said we've found our photographer. Jen brought several samples of her work and specifically of our venue. Others didn't even bring anything to the meet and greet which seemed weird to me. When I finally met Jen I quickly realized why she was the obvious choice. Her personality is addicting and she's always fun to be around. She knows what makes a great picture and a couple times during our wedding she brought us outside for some amazing pictures with a full moon in the background. Being the groom, and normally the one who doesn't like taking a lot of pictures, I honestly couldn't complain any time Jen came to us and said we have to get this shot. She was quick and efficient and her assistants were great too. My nephew has special needs and when we were doing the family pictures after the ceremony in the rain, her one assistant who was holding the umbrella for Jen so she could take the pictures while we were covered was willing the spin the umbrella to catch Tristan's attention. I thought this was so sweet of her and his eyes lit up in excitement. That really meant so much to me and my family just the extra mile Jen and her company are willing to go to in order to get the best pictures and make you feel comfortable while doing it. Even during the reception we had someone who wanted to join in while she was trying to take pictures of Carrie and I with each table and she never said a word.

Ethan Sent on 10/24/2010Fantastic! Hands down the best wedding photographer in Charlottesville (and I've heard great things about her outside of weddings). I knew that she was the best going in and signed her the day that I signed the venue location (20 months out).
She is sweet, energetic, creative, quick to respond to what you and your fiance are looking for, and most importantly, her photos are fantastic.
