Shirley did an absolutely stunning job with the decor and flowers for our wedding! It felt like she understood the vibe that we were going for right away. We went for a burgundy/blush/cream palette and everything was soooo pretty and romantic, from the sweetheart table arrangement to the ceremony arch to the bouquets + boutonnieres to the welcome sign. Shirley really has an eye for designing floral arrangements and decor in exactly the way that suits a couple's wedding vision, and we couldn't be happier with how GORGEOUS everything looked! -

Jelo was the perfect florist vendor for our wedding. Shirley and the Jelo team worked meticulously with us to help achieve our dream. She worked with us through a very carefully planned process to help us design our arbor/sweetheart/table arrangements, choose flower types, and achieve the general vibe we are going for with the florist decorations. We especially loved how beautiful the pieces ended up for our ceremony pieces - the arbor, boutonnières, and bouquets looked absolutely stunning. We highly recommend Jelo and to work with Shirley’s team for your event. They provided the perfect mix of beauty, high quality designs and arrangements, professionalism, and affordability.

Beautiful flowers and decor!
Shirley and the whole Jelo team made our vision come to life! Shirley is so kind, professional, and really has an eye for design and colors. She was patient and helped us decide on the right colors, types of flowers in season, and what decor would go nicely at our venue. Shirley made the process very easy and the results of the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. I had so many guests tell me they never care for centerpieces at weddings but saw how unique and beautiful our flowers were and they were so impressed! All the guests wanted to take the centerpieces home without me even asking people to please take them 🤣. I also worked with Jelo to design our signs and welcome table and everything looked so pretty! I am glad we were able to ask for specific customizations and edits to the design. Working with Shirley was really easy and I’m so glad we picked them as our florist and decor. -

Dream come true!
Thank you to Shirley and her team for making our wedding day spectacular!!! We looked around for multiple florists but Shirley was the only one who didn't shut down my ideas and actually welcomed them, being very open and flexible about fitting within our budget while also making my wedding vision come to life, including the very difficult to find chinese lattice arch! We are so grateful for Shirley's talented decor skills-- everything looked amazing, perfectly in line with what I asked for, and above and beyond my expectations !! She also coordinated the welcome and seating chart signs perfectly, and as a bonus her photobooth props were super cute (and we were also able to customize the photobooth design to fit our theme) ! Thank you for making our dreams come true- would highly recommend! -

Shirley and the team were amazing for our wedding. It contacted them a bit last minute when I realized there was a lot of items I needed for decor and Shirley completely got the concept I wanted. She was very accommodating and worked to encapsulate my vision. I was blown away with how everything turned out especially having done all of communication via phone and email. It was so easy to coordinate and one of the most UNSTRESSFUL part about wedding planning.
I'm so impressed with Jelo and team +++++ the photobooth was a great hit and everyone loved it!
Would highly recommend and use again for events! -

My first time using an event planner/party planner
Let me begin with stating that this was my first time using an event planner/party planner. I should also include I had less than a month to prep for my son's baptism. And to add some more obvious issues planning this, was once the mandates for COVID were slowly lifting it left me with less choices as everyone had to postpone their events from the year prior and booked everyone super far in advance! I got super lucky with Shirley and her staff. Not only did they respond to my initial inquiry in what I would consider record time, they executed everything perfectly. Shirley was super honest with me, extremely professional, she took all my emails-all my questions-all my color themes; and truly made it a special day for all of us. We can't thank you enough for putting what was in my head out for everyone to enjoy!

Shirley and her team at Jelo is highly recommended!!!! She was such a huge help for our wedding flowers and photo booth. We had a small indoor wedding last Nov in a restaurant with a private event room. Neither my husband and myself had any specific idea as to our theme and what we want. Shirley was so patient with us in developing ideas and helping us think of the easiest and most economic ways for decorations. In the weeks ahead of our wedding, Shirley was so responsive via wechat and email.
On the date of our wedding, her team was right on time, even without our presence at the venue. It was a huge help. Her team stayed the whole time helping with the photobooth. We couldn't be more glad to have her as our decorator. If we have other events to plan in the future, we would not hesitate to hire her team again. -

I am in love with the product I received. I sent a pic of inspiration for a backdrop and they delivered far beyond my expectations. I got so many compliments on the decor. As a return customer, Jelo did a phenomenal job on my daughter's 1st birthday party. I used their high-end line Genesis wedding for my wedding decoration and design back in 2015. And few years later, I used their secondary line for my daughters birthday party decoration. Yes! They once again impressed me with what I want and how I want. They tailored the designs for the party align with my wedding's theme, basketball. We felt so unique that we can carry over our wedding theme to my first child's first bday party. We felt so happy and unique about that. Our guests complimented the theme design and decoration, and some of the guests even said that, it reminds them for my wedding, because it's so unique that they still remember freshly about my wedding. That's how impressive the effects are.
Shirley is a great event planner, she followed through all the party timelines and vendors for me.
About the designer, he gained my trust the first time so I let him design freely on the bday party. I am just in love with his ideas and designs. You can't imagine how trustworthy they are to me. In terms of pricing, they can work within your budget yet you still get what you want. In conclusion, Jelo is your best choice and you won't regret it. -

Jelo is really great and did an exceptional job for my wedding! I initially found Jelo because I was looking for bilingual wedding invitations and found out that they also assisted in my brother-in-law's wedding. While we ended up not needing their services for invitations, we did end up working with them on decor and they 100% delivered. They worked within our budget, catering to our needs when possible and were very responsive when we had questions or concerns. I worked with Shirley who was great and I would recommend full heartedly. We were also able to have a photo booth for our wedding for an amazing deal! The photos were high quality, the service was great and the guests loved it. I'm beyond thrilled that the team was able to exceed my expectations, taking my vision and making it a reality :) -

My cousin hired Jelo's decoration and photo booth services for her wedding, and it was amazing (Congrats Bonnie and Brian!). From the beautifully decorated greeting table to the awesome photo booth, everyone had a fun time. My cousin worked with Shirley and had a smooth experience. The workers operating the photobooth were very nice, patient and efficient for the large groups of people eager to take their snazzy photos with props. The photos printed very quickly, and the quality of the photos turned out surprisingly well. It's not easy but when photos of me turn out looking great, something is clearly working. Highly recommended! -

Their services are amazing! I worked with Shirley for my wedding invitation set, photobooth, seating chart, backdrop and decorations. My favorite part is the same customized look and feel on everything (my theme was blue hydrangeas/flowers of sort). There is a small customized fee for your own design on the invites/photos, but honestly it is so worth it. They worked with me tirelessly in getting the right design in every part of the process for months before the wedding day. We also needed both Chinese and English to accommodate our guests - and they were so helpful with translations and recommendations!
We had so many compliments on the invitations and honestly they were beyond my expectations. They put so much effort into everything, it was all so beautiful and dreamy. I cannot thank them enough.
Unfortunately I didn't have a picture of the welcome table and I'm keeping my seating chart private, but I think it goes to show how unique and passionate they are with each and every single project.

- We have a purple wedding. As purple has different grades, they asked us which particular purple we want. Very precise. Therefore, all the color and flower decoration came out with the color I love. The decoration made our wedding venue more upper class.

Let me start out by saying I don't normally write reviews, but this review for Jelo was well deserved. Shirley was amazing. She was attentive, caring, and a very good listener. She established what I wanted for my wedding decoration quickly and gave me very helpful ideas. On my wedding day, when I saw how the venue was decorated, it was even better than what I had envisioned. Everything was perfect from the sign- in table to the wall flower on the stage. Shirley even gave it a special touch for the sign in table by adding a few wedding photo of ours and was nice enough to lend us a money box. I highly recommend Jelo for your wedding or any special event decorations. Their prices are very reasonable as well. -

Shirley and her team did an amazing job at my wedding! Jelo is fairly close to my house and the venue so that was definitely a plus and made it easy to stop after work since they're right along the D line at 79st. I had the basic decoration package along with the photobooth rental. Shirley was so easy to get in contact with; she responds very quickly whenever you have a concern via Wechat. The day of the wedding, I was amazed at how well they decorated the venue. I had a traditional Chinese banquet and I couldn't even tell that I was in a Chinese restaurant. Everything was so beautiful and the photobooth was a great addition. Our guests loved it; what drew me to Jelo's photobooth was the sizing of the picture. They use 4 x 6 inch prints instead of the traditional 2 x 6 inch and they were able to incorporate the theme that we had for the backdrop. The photobooth rental also includes a set of Jelo's premium props; they had a great selection of those as well. At the end of the night, I was able to keep the monogram logo that they made for our wedding! It was so nice of them and make for a great memento from our big day. I will definitely go back for Jelo for all my decorating needs! Thank you Shirley and Jelo for making our big day so special! -

Where do we begin? Shirley has done so much for us over the past year and we cannot begin to thank her enough. Initially, we first visited Jelo with the intention of ordering our wedding invitations only. However, after meeting with Shirley, we instantly connected with her and her studio's wedding portfolio. We love the modern and romantic concepts that the design team executes. It did not take us long to officially choose Shirley as she was trustworthy and we trusted her to create our dream vision.
Shirley pays very close attention to detail and she will get to know you and your style as she is chatting with you to understand what you and your partner like. Another great attribute of Shirley is that she is very knowledgeable about what traditional parents may prefer and she had many helpful suggestions along the way when we were designing our wedding invites. Jelo's design team created the most beautiful wedding invitation and RSVP set that I have ever seen! We were so delighted to see the final product, the design really set the tone for our wedding. We received endless compliments on our wedding invites.
We loved the elegant backdrop design and setup on our wedding day. The final creation was a fairytale affair! All the minuscule details were complete perfection. Shirley and her team did a wonderful job executing the idea and setting up even during a very limited time crunch.
Additionally, the photo booth team was great, the props were cute and the quality of the photos were superb. All our family & friends enjoyed taking fun photos at the photo booth! Our guests really liked the layout of the photos and the 4x6 format.
We also decided on a seating board chart to help organize our seating arrangement. Which turned out to be a wonderful idea as this allowed our greeter to assist our guests and direct them more efficiently. This option is so much better than the paper handout, which can get messy and become time-consuming.
Shirley is super organized and she will make sure everything is PERFECT! Shirley treats you like her friend instead of another customer walking through the door. Everyone was always super friendly which allowed us to feel welcomed and comfortable. Jelo is a team of dedicated professionals whom work efficiently to deliver beautiful results. If you can dream it then Jelo will create your dream vision. I would love to work with Shirley again in the future to plan other events! -

LOVE everything Jelo did for my wedding! From the invitation card to the ceremony program card, welcoming table decor, photo booth, customized props, etc., everything was PERFECT! I gave them my wedding theme and colors, and elaborated my ideas to them once; the designer was able to come up with all designs that I love. The photo booth was another great hit! The photos are in very high quality, and the matching theme props and photo frame make everything so unique and special. All the staffs are very friendly and professional. I just had my wedding in September 1st, and I absolutely love the decorations and stage backdrop Shirley and her team created/arranged for us! Shirley from Jelo made it very easy to work with from the design or our backdrop, menu, chair bow, photo booth etc from day one to all set up on our wedding day. Best place to go if you want that dreamy wedding! Shirley is the best girl to go for, she provide her expertise from what goes with what flowers to which flowers will be best for the theme. Ceremony setup was amazing simply and beautiful! Jelo staff helped me a lot! I feel in love with them!!! They have photo booth too! It was awesome too, I requested to add on additional copy for my photo album, they were able to do so. Each and every of guest was happy! -

Gorgeous flowers at a reasonable price from an experienced vendor
Shirley and her team were great to work with. Shirley is really good at understanding the vision you have for the wedding. Throughout our meetings and email communications, I shared what I like and don't like, and Shirley put together flowers that perfectly matched my vision on the day of. We used Jelo Flowers for our centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and also photobooth. We especially loved the photobooth options Jelo Flowers has. The custom printed design and the amount of cute props to choose from were amazing! The team managing the photobooth throughout the night was also very fun and energetic, which helped to create a welcoming environment at the photobooth for my guests! Guests were also able to take centerpieces home and I received ALL photos taken at the photobooth, which were both such nice perks! Absolutely loved seeing how all our guests had fun using the photobooth. -

We booked flower and decor services through Jelo for our wedding in November. Prices were very reasonable for the package received and alongside wedding planning services booked through Genesis (Shirley Chau), we had a wonderful experience. We opted personal flowers (bride bouquet, and boutonnière for parents and groom, as well as half tall and half short enter pieces with some candle accents and an elaborate sweetheart table. We also chose to repurpose our the flower arch used in both our ceremony and reception decor. Shirley was nice enough to provide us a complimentary tossing bouquet and cake flowers which really tied everything together. Just make sure that your contract reflects carefully everything discussed and your inspiration picture are clear and confirmed with the Jelo team. I'm a meticulous planner and followed up often to make sure everything was exactly as we had discussed. It was very helpful to pull pictures from Pinterest and Jelo's IG and Website to show as reference. The vendors arrived on time to setup and stayed late to break it all down. Guests were able to take the floral centerpieces home at the end of the night! The only thing they couldn't take were the tall clear vases and the floating Monet glasses with candles on the short centerpieces, but the flowers themselves were up for grabs. -
