Jeffrey was not only a master behind the camera but also a true professional. He arrived first thing in the morning, took some amazing getting ready shots and in general was just a very pleasant and friendly person to be around. After our wedding ceremony we were very indecisive on where we were going to take bridal party photos (due to the rain) There was a lot of switching back and forth and he was patient with it all and listened to our ideas and incorporated them seamlessly into the shoot. He went above and beyond getting the perfect lighting/angles and shots and catching all of our special moments. You can see he's truly committed to his job with his dedication and hours he spent taking the photos and editing them. I would definitely recommend him to others, he has a lot of great experience.Thank you Jeffrey, it was a pleasure working with you. -

We truly couldn’t have asked for a more incredible wedding photography team! Start to finish, Jeffrey and Gary made everything seamless, professional, and genuinely enjoyable ~ from meeting Jeffrey for our engagement shoot to having Gary join in for our best day!
Both arrived early, ready for the day ahead, and were there for every single moment ~ never missing a beat. Jeffrey had such a calming presence throughout the day, which made a huge difference in those busy, emotional moments. And Gary brought the perfect balance of humor and energy—keeping us, our wedding party, families, and guests laughing while easing any nerves along the way.
They both made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which is no small feat. Nothing ever felt forced or awkward ~ just natural, relaxed, and truly us. By the end of the day, they didn’t just feel like vendors ~ they felt like family.
Jeffrey and Gary captured every detail so beautifully ~ from the big, emotional highlights to the small, candid moments we didn’t even realize were happening.

Jeffrey was such a delight to work with! Even when our engagement shoot turned into a rain shoot, he always stayed positive and brought light to the situation. When we decided to elope in the Finger Lakes region of NY, picking Jeffrey as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made. He is not only a phenomenal photographer, but he is also passionate about what he does and it showed from beginning to end when we worked with him. He made everything easy and seamless for us, from the booking process to the actual big day. Despite neither of us having experience working with professional photography or any specifics for how we wanted the photos done he still managed to guide and work with us in producing the most gorgeous results.
We were fortunate that he happened to know the area we were getting married in and he personally guided us to several stunning locations to take beautiful photographs, and throughout the several hours he was with us he was awesome to chat with and just hang around, and really made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire session. What I had frankly anticipated as likely being a chore walking outdoors on trails in a big gown in the sun to pose for photographs surprisingly turned out to be a fun, joyful experience thanks to Jeffrey. Besides the ceremony, having our photos taken by him was one of the highlights of our elopement that we will always cherish.
My husband and I definitely can’t recommend Jeffrey’s photography business enough, and if you’re looking for a skilled, trustworthy, passionate, and cool photographer to cover your special day then look no further! -

Photographer review
Jeffrey and Gary were absolutely amazing. They showed up earlier than contracted! They were so helpful with my dress, my husbands suit, helping the groomsmen out. We got back SO many photos after a week of the wedding!!! We truly couldn’t be happier with the photos, and the time we got to spend with Jeffrey and Gary!

I cannot recommend Jeffrey Foote Photography enough! From our first emails and phone calls, Jeffrey was professional, courteous, and prompt in his communication, and his work on the day-of was the same way. We worked together to create our shot list, which we reviewed multiple times over the phone, to make sure that all of our decor, details, families, first look, and more would be covered. On the day of the wedding (October 2024 in the Ithaca, NY area), Jeffrey and his associate Gary showed up early to get all of the shots that we wanted and were helpful, flexible, and dedicated in every aspect of their craft. They seemed to be everywhere at once, capturing the first look, the formal shots, the pre-wedding greetings, the ceremony from all angles, the cocktail hour, the golden hour pictures, and of course, the reception. The end result is nothing short of amazing, and all of our friends and family are truly in awe of all of the pictures, both in color and in black and white. They perfectly captured our day, and we will treasure these pictures forever. The pictures are better than I truly could ever have imagined. We are so grateful to Jeffrey and Gary, and we highly recommend them for any photography needs, wedding or otherwise! -

We can’t say enough good things about Jeffrey and his associate Gary. Our wedding was a two-day, multicultural celebration and Jeffrey was fantastic from the beginning, helping us organize an approach that gave coverage for both days, all within our budget. He was flexible in adapting to the unique schedule of events and rolling with all kinds of weather, from pouring rain (that produced some of our favorite shots) to sweltering heat and humidity.
Gary’s attention to the details shots was beyond what we could have hoped, including creating a mini light studio that took the details shots to another level. Thank you Jeffrey and Gary! -

Stunning Photos!
We hired Jeffrey as our wedding photographer. He spent time to get to know us and what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. Jeffrey has a great sense for the ideal locations based on a small detail you might want your photos to be based around. Jeffrey was great at posing us so that we got the perfect shots! Jeffrey was also helpful when we were determining our timeline for the day and really helped me understand how much time we needed for the different photo groupings. The turn around time on our photos was amazing!! Jeffrey got our photos edited and to us just over 2 weeks after our wedding and the photos are stunning! -

We put the deposit down at the Lincklaen house in Cazenovia, NY and my search for a wedding photographer began! To preface this, I am a photographer myself, so this was no small task. The requirements I had were: the photographer must be local, genuinely care about photography, and be a lighting master as our wedding was fully indoors. It didn't take long for us to find Jeffrey on various wedding websites — we were initially blown away by his lighting work, and we reached out and hired him for the job.
Pre-wedding day: I had multiple conversations with Jeffrey about the wedding setup and talked about detail shots, etc. Every conversation was amazing, and he was super excited for the big day. It was super helpful on our end talking to him before the wedding as he even helped us fill in some of the details of the day as well.
Wedding day: Jeffrey arrived early and left late. He put in 110%. Getting ready he would bounce between the groom and bride suite, and took detail shots in-between. We really appreciate all the effort he put in. We gave him a timeline of the day, he adhered to everything and didn't miss a single moment. He handled the chaos of everything exceptionally, including the formals post ceremony. He stayed till the very end, and even captured our sparkler send off. He was a crucial part of our day and we really can’t recommend him enough. He is extremely responsive, very attentive to detail and does great work. We'd hire him again in a heart beat. Thank you so much Jeffrey! -

Just 5 starts aren’t enough to express how amazing Jeffery is! Jeffrey captured every little detail of our big day. Looking at the beautiful shots he and his associate took felt like reliving our best day again. Jeffery and his associate weren’t just the photographers, they were a part of the party; they were talking people up, getting involved in the fun, and making the guests feel at ease when capturing all the memories. Jeffery’s professionalism gets top marks as well. He took care to always be in communication with us, whether it was for shoots that we had planned, or just checking to see if everything was what we imagined. Formals were stunning, and the candid shots were just as amazing. Jeffery even made sure to get the little requests we had, such as individuals with friends from out of town. We couldn’t be more grateful for Jeffery being there and capturing all of the day’s memories for us to hold and cherish. -

Jeff & Gary were awesome
Hire them. It was the best decision we made, and their pricing was really good comparatively. The pictures came out awesome, and Jeff & Gary made everything really easy on us. We had some inclement weather on the day. When we were outside taking pictures at one point Jeff was looking at his phone….so I thought he got a text or something in between shots, but he looked up, said we have about 5 more minutes and then we are going to move inside for some pictures. He was actually tracking the storm on the down low so he wouldn’t stress me out. Such a great experience. -

Pictures were on our mind before we picked the venue - the second we secured venue and date we went to shopping for a photographer and something that was really important to both of us was having a photographer that not only meshed well with us, but that would be there - the entire time. I wanted someone there when I jumped out of the car in my pjs and still there when I drug myself to the car at the end of the night. Jeff was all of this and more. Not only was he extremely responsive from the initial contact, but very understanding and actually listened to us. Between us we have a LOT of family and pictures are VERY important to us - this was our splurge. After we talked initially and I stalked his work on Instagram, we hired him. When we met for engagement photos and walked around Glimmerglass Park for hours - we knew we had made the right choice. He was candid and friendly and very professional and knowledgeable. If there was an image I wanted, he made it happen. We also have a now 6.5- and 3.5-year-old and he was very patient - and captured moments in time we won't have again. I was blown away with our engagement photos, I couldn't wait until the big day. He studied our family tree and list of wanted photos and bet me to the venue at 9a! You barely knew he was there but captured all the moments, some I forgot or was even elsewhere for. The details, HE PAYS ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS!! I couldn't ask for better - AND he still talks to us HA, I've had questions and he still makes me feel like I'm not a bother! He hung out and stayed by our sides ALL DAY - we left at 11p and was one of the last faces we saw! Oh, and the time frame in which we got photos - phenomenal - I've heard horror stories. And the jump drive, SO CUTE and love the case!!!! I can't say enough good things. To rate him a 5/5 is an understatement - I'd refer you again and again and I will DEFINITELY find an excuse to hire him again in the future. Not only professional and simply breathtaking photos/quality but affordable and an all-around great guy! Thank you for capturing our perfect day! Best Wedding Photographer!
I can’t say enough about Jeffrey! He was fantastic from the moment we reached out to him. He was always quick to respond and extremely helpful. He was a real trooper and up for the adventure of taking our engagement pictures at Sodus Point when it was freezing cold and the wind chill was horrible! On the day of our wedding, he was calm and organized and on top of everything, which was extremely appreciated since it helped me (the nervous bride) and my husband stay calm and have fun. The second photographer Gary was so much fun and got us all laughing and having the best time which was a huge help as well! On top of all that, the pictures turned out beautifully and we absolutely love them! We have a photo wall now with our wedding pictures. We honestly can’t recommend Jeffrey enough- he’s the best!! -

Jeffrey came highly recommended to us by SO many people (neighbors, friends, vendors), and we absolutely loved working with him. He managed to maintain a wonderful balance of professionalism mixed with fun, which really helped us "be ourselves" in our engagement shoot. We received our wedding pictures very quickly after the event (about 5 weeks) and are in love with all of them. We hired the second photographer and feel it's well worth the added cost. Gary was great to work with and we have so many different shots that it feels like we're experiencing our wedding day all over again when we go through the pictures. Jeffrey and Gary documented the entire day with us and they were so delightful to work with. They helped us get some great formals as well as fun candid shots. I especially loved how easy Jeffrey is to get ahold of. He is so punctual that we never had to wait on a response from him which absolutely eased anxieties around wedding planning. He was by far the easiest and most pleasurable person to work with during our wedding planning. Jeffrey is incredibly creative and kind, and we can't say enough great things about him! -

Jeffrey is an incredible photographer. He told us how to poise/walk/look/etc. in order to take the best photos together. He also took advantage of the natural beauty of our venue location and staged stunning shot after stunning shot. For the formals, he was creative and fun. We have so many fantastic shots of our bridal party, family & friends smiling and laughing. We can truly look back on our wedding day and see how much joy was present that day. Jeffrey is worth his weight in platinum. My husband and I feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to have Jeffrey photograph our wedding day.
Tips & Advice: Definitely hire the 2nd photographer (we had Chris and he was awesome). We had a large bridal party. It was wonderful to have 2 photographers available to be with the guys vs. girls. Also, they were able to shoot different angles/views during the wedding ceremony, which resulted in some fabulous photographers from the bride's view vs. the groom's view.
Note: We were overwhelmed by the sheer volume of beautiful wedding photos that he and his 2nd photographer provided us with - 2,181 photos. And that isn't even counting our engagement photographs! And just in case you are thinking - "Oh, they probable just gave you a dump of all the photos". No! These are all great photos! They must have taken thousands that day (24 total hours of photography between the two photographers) and these were the best shots. We gave our friends and family photo print-outs that were specific to them with our Christmas cards. Our Christmas cards almost all ended up needing additional postage because there were so many photos to share, but we received rave reviews from everyone that they loved the photos. -

Great from start to finish
Every bride is nervous about hiring the right photographer. You get one chance and that is frightening. I knew from the beginning the Jeffrey would deliver. After meeting and getting to know him during our engagement shoot, I felt very comfortable with him. Our engagement pictures were really pretty and I loved how he captured the beauty of our surroundings. Leading up to wedding day, he was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. I had some personal speed bumps (nothing that had to do with him) and he was so kind and graceful through it all. Wedding day was perfect as him and his wonderful assistant photographer made the day enjoyable and seamless. I even offered for them to leave earlier if they wanted and I believe they actually stayed later than their time. Our pictures are stunning and I LOVE them! They captured every detail, and somehow made my husband and I look less awkward than we actually are. Jeffrey has an eye for the perfect shots and moments. I look at our pictures every day and I absolutely love them. The fancy USB and personal note was such a sweet touch to end the experience. It was an absolute pleasure and I highly recommend Jeffrey to everyone! -

Jeffrey’s (and the second photographer Chris) attention to detail, fresh ideas, and overall professionalism from the moment we originally reached out to them all the way up until the last song on wedding day - was truly incredible. They were slated to stay until 10p and stayed almost another full hour! Having shot many weddings between you both, I have to imagine that doesn’t happen often and it made the day somehow more special than it already was. It was a day we will never forget and they were essential to the entire day.
I strongly recommend their services to anyone we know getting married or needing professional photography in the area. -

We had the absolute best experience with Jeffrey and his second photographer Chris. My husband and I live in the Hudson Valley region of NY and they traveled down to us for the engagement shoot even though the drive for them was several hours. The day of the engagement shoot was over 100 degrees and despite the temperature, Jeffrey and Chris were so positive and professional. When we received those photos, I couldn't believe how amazing they looked-- I never would've though that my husband and I could look so good in such extreme heat! But it was all Jeffrey and Chris' skilled work that led to such a great product.
Our communication with Jeffrey leading up to the wedding was also great. He answered any questions we had very quickly and was open to any suggestions we had for wedding photo locations. Once the day of the wedding arrived, I knew we were in great hands. They stayed with us for the entire day (12 hours) and took the most beautiful photos. I am so incredibly pleased with the shots of details (flowers, food, venue, rings), family members (formal and candids), and our bride and groom portraits. I opted for the package that included an assistant photographer. I had not only an exceptional experience with Jeffrey but with Gary as well! They made sure every single thing was photographed and taken into account and any random request we had they were right on board! My husband and I truly enjoyed working with Jeffrey. He was very flexible with us, and even embraced the cold and snow to get our beautiful wintery engagement photos!! His quality of work is amazing—we had a hard time picking our favorite photos. I was also incredibly grateful with how quickly he got our engagement and wedding photos back to us. He and his assistant Christopher were with us all wedding day capturing every detail of our wedding! Every time I look at the photos it puts a huge smile on my face—especially the candid moments. We also appreciated that he took the time to get our family tree, ask about special photos we’d like, and provided a list of formal photos for us to choose from prior to the wedding. I found Jeffrey on Weddingwire a couple of years ago when looking for a photographer for our wedding in Cooperstown, NY. While Jeffrey is based in Ithaca, he was willing to travel to our location with no issues. One of the main factors that led us to initially choose Jeffrey was his availability during the actual day of the wedding. While some photographers have 8 hour limits or even less, Jeffrey's reviews mentioned that he was available to couples for the entire wedding day, from getting ready, to the very end of the night and we found this to be 100% true in our experience. Jeffrey and his second shooter Gary arrived on time and were with us for ~12 hours and covered 3 separate locations for photos. Jeffrey was so easy to communicate with (he was probably the most responsive of all of our vendors), especially during the craziness of Covid and changing our original wedding date. We met him in Ithaca for our engagement photos and received beautiful pictures within enough time to use for our save the dates. Even without seeing the photos from our event as of yet (it was only 11 days ago!), we received so many compliments from our guests regarding how many photos Jeffrey and Gary took throughout the day/night, as well as compliments on their overall demeanor interacting with us and our guests. Jeffrey worked with us in advance to coordinate our formal photos, the timeline of the day, and any special photos we might want. He was open to our ideas on the day of, handled the chaos of larger group photos, and gave us great direction for how to pose. Jeffrey and Gary really fit into our day seamlessly. I highly recommend both Jeffrey and his second shooter Gary and we can't wait to see our photos! -

We booked Jeffrey in 2019 for our July 2020 wedding that was postponed to July 2021 due to the pandemic. Jeffrey was so accommodating with all of the changes. We live in NYC and wanted to take our engagement pictures in Brooklyn, Jeffrey agreed without hesitation to make the trip for our shoot. Due to the pandemic we were never able to pick a day for the engagement pictures, but Jeffrey never gave up and continued to communicate with us to find a date that worked. We eventually chose Ithaca for our site and we are so glad we did!! Our engagement pictures came out PHENOMENAL! We loved them so much that we created our guest book using as many pictures from the shoot as possible!
Our new wedding date happened to coincide with Jeffrey’s birthday and just a week apart from the birth of Jeffrey’s first child! Jeffrey’s professionalism is inspiring!! He arrived so early to the bridal house and brought a phenomenal assistant, Gary, to take pictures of the groomsmen and to help throughout the day! Jeffrey and Gary worked so well together throughout the entire wedding and helped organize us as we took so many family pictures during cocktail hour. We are looking forward to see the amazing candids and formal pictures from the wedding! We can’t thank Jeffrey enough for everything he has done for us and hope to work with him again in the future! They say pick three things that are your "must haves" for the wedding and spend money there. Choose whatever you want for 2 and 3 but I recommend including Jeffrey as the #1.
When I look at our photos, I still can't believe its OUR wedding.

The best of the best
To say Jeffrey Foote Photography is the best of the best is an absolute understatement. Jeffrey was highly recommended from the consultant where I purchased my wedding dress, as she had known several brides enamored with their experiences. From the first moment we browsed through Jeffrey’s picture portfolio online, we knew there was no one else we wanted to photograph our wedding, and to our great fortune he was available! Even via our email & phone correspondence I could tell he really cared to make sure every little detail I wanted he was going to capture. I continued to be in awe of his efforts to get those perfect shots, he pays such close attention to details, he’s an artist! As my new husband and I were closing out the night and were leaving the venue, our event coordinator was as blown away by him as we were. She couldn’t wait to tell us they had already exchanged contact information because she is booking him for herself! I could write a whole novel on the quality of his work, but what compliments his talents is his pure passion for what he does. We had a contracted agreed upon price per hour, however the natural flow of our wedding dragged out later and he didn’t watch the clock or make us feel like he was in a rush to get out. He stayed far beyond the previous said time and insisted there was no need to pay him more, I felt like this spoke volumes to not only his professionalism, but his passion for what he does, not driven by the paycheck. Aside from the memories, the pictures last forever, and I feel so blessed the stars aligned and we found Jeffrey, who captured them all so perfectly! -

Jeffrey is the best!! We were planning a wedding in Upstate New York from across the country, and he was so easy to work with. We immediately felt at ease with him from our first phone conversation. Jeffrey was helpful, giving us DJ and florist recommendations. We had a blast with him during our engagement and wedding shoots - he is easygoing, fun, and professional. We felt beautiful and confident. Jeffrey is passionate about photography and our photos turned out beautiful! Jeffrey is also very flexible. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was a challenge. We ended up shifting plans a month before the wedding, getting married at an airbnb with just immediate family instead of at a large wedding with many people as we had originally planned. Jeffrey was still able to photograph our wedding the way we wanted. We look forward to working with him again when we have a larger reception! We cannot recommend him highly enough. -

Jeffrey is the most amazing vendor EVER. He legitimately saved our wedding. When I first started wedding planning, I spoke with a photographer who essentially told me she’s running the whole day herself and to not plan on spending any of the day with family and friends because I would be pulled for pictures all night. I was in tears.
I told my DJ what happened and he immediately gave me Jeffrey’s info saying that’s who he used for his own wedding and how wonderful he was. When I called Jeff on the phone we talked for nearly an hour. I knew right away he was the right one. He stays the whole day so he can capture every moment. He wants to be SUPPORTIVE and help make the day amazing rather than to run the whole show.
My wedding had been rescheduled 3 times already when my venue decided to cancel 9 days before the wedding. I assumed Jeffrey wouldn’t be able to make it anymore since we had it in our hometown nearly 4 hours away. It was only a few days before the wedding when he emailed to confirm all of our details and I was blown away by the fact that he was willing to travel 4 hours to be there for me!!!! With no travel fee! Jeffrey was there for me by 9am and stayed very late into the night. He went above and beyond to get every shot just right. We even climbed a rock wall in full wedding apparel to get a perfect picture. People all night commented about how great his lighting setups were and how efficiently he got all of the formals done! My husband and I truly got to enjoy our wedding day while having full confidence that Jeffrey would capture every moment.

Words cannot express how incredible Jeffrey is. From day one when I called him upset about another photographer discouraging me, he was always there to reassure me and make things work. During covid I had to reschedule my wedding 3+ times. One of those times was for our ceremony that got changed on us NINE DAYS before it happened. Jeffrey without hesitation drove an extra 4.5 hours to be there for us that day..not only that, but he still did our big wedding the following year!
Jeffrey likes to take extravagant and breathtaking photos. He helps us go the extra mile to make sure the pictures are coming out amazingly. Jeffrey has no hesitation directing people where to go to make the shot perfect and keep things moving smoothly.
During the reception, he was everywhere! He managed to capture every single detail of our 2 celebrations, and we made a lifelong friend in the process. -

I am completely in love with Jeffrey's work and his ability to be so understanding and caring for others. This man was able to accommodate my husband and I and go out of his way by driving to several locations with us just to capture our moments. He did not care about the time or picture amount, instead he only cared a making sure we was happy on this day and that we would remember it for the rest of our lives. He wasn't scared to go beyond what a professional photographer would do. He took pictures of not only us but our guest (family, friends, marriage official). I don't even know where to start...Jeffrey was by far the BEST vendor we worked with when it came down to planning for our wedding. He is professional, beyond talented, and doesn't let a phone call or email pass by without responding in less than 24 hours (in fact, he typically answered within minutes). The best part though was when all was said and done.... we received an online gallery and USB with THOUSANDS of photos that captured every moment of our wedding day. We look through the images and truly get to relive our favorite moments all over again. I promise you...look no further if you need a photographer! If I could do it all over again, I'd pick Jeffrey EVERY SINGLE TIME! His attention to detail make the quality of his photos absolutely stunning, and we are so grateful.

Remarkable experience!
Jeffrey was so easy to work with. His quick email response time made scheduling a session a breeze. Jeffrey was friendly and easy to talk to which helped us relax and have fun. My fiancé and I had no idea what we wanted out of our engagement session but Jeffrey was full of ideas and knew all the best locations to shoot. Amazing!!!
We hired Jeffery for our wedding photographer and he exceeded our expectations! The photos we received back have been nothing but amazing. He worked well with the 2nd photographer in the package as well as our videographers we hired. He was very responsive and paid attention to detail. I love ALL of the photos that he took as well as our 2nd photographer. I recommend getting the package with 2 only because there was no moments left uncaptured.
