With its immaculate grounds, beautiful outdoor dining, quaint indoor service, and a varied menu that calls upon the bounty of Long Island's North Fork, The "Jed" has been our favorite restaurant for a long time running.
At the Jedediah Hawkins Inn, you'll be whisked off to a different time and place, and given the Jed's casual elegance, you may never want to leave...Fortunately, with their small boutique hotel upstairs, you don't have to.
Be sure to visit the Hawkins Inn "Speakeasy" and if you're there during the day, find a chair, relax outside, and enjoy the Jed's parklike setting. Also be sure to check out the well crafted wine list, and magnificent desserts.
We love the Jed so much we got married there! And you can too! -

The staff at Jedediah Hawkins Inn were absolutely amazing throughout the entire wedding planning and wedding day!! Special thanks to Eugenia, Lia, and Ilias for all their hard work in helping to put together our dream wedding, and to Erin for her role as personal assistant the day of; I don’t know what I would have done without her! The venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and it was a magical day I’ll never forget! Thank you Jedediah Hawkins and we’ll see you again on our anniversary! -

From the moment we arrived at the inn we were catered to in such thoughtful and kind ways. Eugenia and Kelly were above and beyond helpful. And my 90 year old mom and 93 year old step dad raved about Eugenia’s attention to details. Colin’s food was spoken about throughout the day as nothing short of spectacular. The inn staff at the cocktail reception and in the barn were very professional and courteous. However, you don’t get a superior experience if it doesn’t start and trickle down from the top. Lia and Ilias have created in absolutely first class experience that will last in our minds for years to come. We’ll see you for our first anniversary!!!

We couldn’t have picked a better place for our reception than Jedediah Hawkins Inn. The grounds and venue are stunning, full of character, and gave our guests such a memorable experience. The food was outstanding—beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious, with so many of our guests commenting on how much they enjoyed it.
A huge thank you to Ilias, our event coordinator, whose professionalism and attention to detail made everything run seamlessly. And to Erin, our bridal attendant, who was wonderful—always one step ahead and made sure we were comfortable and cared for throughout the day.

If you are considering Jedediah Hawkins for your wedding, here are the 5 things I’d most like to share about our experience there.
1. Nothing went wrong. As soon as we were greeted by Ilias, who manages the entire operation, we knew he will not allow anything to go wrong. At that point my stress dissolved, and I began to really enjoy the happiest day of my life.
2. The food: appetizers, entrees and desserts, was consistently excellent and abundant.
3. The venue is gorgeous, rain or shine. The staff deal with weather issues instantly if things change. I have personal, happy experience with this.
4. The staff is friendly, professional and trained to please the guests as well as the wedding party.
5. In addition to sending thank you notes, I receive them from family and friends who had the time of their lives.
We had the luxury of an outstanding wedding planner, a wonderful string quartet, and a gorgeous wedding cake. Yet had we not been able to afford those luxuries, our day at Hawkins would have been the grandest day of our lives. That is due to the people who manage and staff this lovely venue.
On the day of our wedding the weather wasn’t optimal, but rain wasn’t a sure thing. Ilias patiently waited while we watched the JHI staff, musicians and florist setup our outdoor garden wedding. About half an hour before the scheduled start, Ilias determined that we were moving indoors. Then, it started to pour. Nobody batted an eyelash. The Hawkins team converted the beautiful reception “Barn” into a lovely wedding chapel. Ilias and a small army of servers with umbrellas led us through the wisteria covered pathway to the Barn. After the ceremony, we enjoyed the cocktail hour in the historic restaurant/inn while the staff restored the Barn for dinner and dancing.
When we went for a tasting to select the food that would be served, the chef prepared full entrees and appetizers so we would know exactly what would be served, how it would taste and how it would be presented. We were served each of the available first course appetizers that our guests would choose from. On our wedding day, my husband and I had all these things served at our table.
The cocktail hour includes both hot appetizers served by staff constantly moving through your crowd of guests and a wonderful Tuscan cold appetizer table. When I spent a selfish amount of time listening to the string quartet we brought in, my bridal attendant Kelly (provided by JHI to shadow me in case I needed anything) noticed it and appeared with a platter of hot appetizers just for my new husband and me. Kelly also perfectly arranged my fresh flowers on our wedding cake, coordinated the presentation of a birthday cake we brought for our flower girl’s fifth birthday and made sure that our guests had boxes to take home desserts from the huge dessert table of cookies and pastries. Kelly was a great example of the Hawkins staff knowing how to pre-empt any chance of something going wrong. She was always with me to connect a need with a service.
The many Hawkins staff devoted to our wedding did small and incredibly large things to make everyone comfortable, satisfied and happy. ALL of our guests raved about them. Yours will too.

My husband and I stumbled upon Jedediah Hawkins Inn years ago by mere chance since it was off the main road. It is still a hidden gem. As we drove by, we were in awe by the breathtaking Victorian Manor that sat behind the vintage gates. We've been going there for brunch and dinner every summer (because their Farm to Table food is AMAZING) when we go out east on Long Island to visit the vineyards. Once engaged, it clicked that this is where we should have our wedding especially for a more intimate affair (60-Person). We did look at other options like wineries and event spaces in the area, but it is unmatched by JHI's value, quality, and possibilities.
JHI continued to impress and overdelivered on our expectations once we booked with them (granted we snatched the remaining June 2025 date and only had 4 months to prepare). They were open and responsive with our questions and vision. Our guests are STILL raving about how beautiful the property was, the exceptional food, and AMAZING service their team delivered. From start to finish, the attention to detail and intimate touch the staff provided was exactly what made our event so magical for everyone. We were told the entire wait staff felt like family at the end of the night.
Other highlights: Lia, the owner I presume, is so sweet and we can tell she really cares for the property. Ilias who is in charge of operations and the restaurant is absolutely accommodating, on point, and was a pleasure to work with. Kelly, our event coordinator is awesome! She had every detail under control so that I was able to enjoy the evening.

If you're planning an intimate event with a smaller crowd
If you need high touch service by staff that takes care of every single person
If your priority to your guests is elevated dining experience & drinks
We highly recommend Jedediah Hawkins Inn. Even if you do not have an event here, I suggest coming for a meal, sitting on their patio or drinks, or explore the speakeasy. You will experience its charm the way we do. -

- Our wedding at Jedediah Hawkins Inn was nothing short of magical. The grounds are breathtaking and the staff are wonderful. Elias went above and beyond to help us design menus for the cocktail hour and dinner, and the food was absolutely delicious—our guests were blown away. People said it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had; shoutout to the grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters and corn chowder. Staff members like Eugenia made sure that everyone felt cared for throughout the entire day. They even boxed up special meals for members of the wedding party who were too preoccupied to eat dinner. The bridal suite was a highlight —eclectic and totally unique. Everything about the venue exceeded our expectations and made our wedding truly unforgettable.

Best Day Ever!!
My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding at Jedediah Hawkins on 9/7/24. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day or perfect venue. Everyone at Jedediah was extremely helpful, responsive, and accommodating from day one. We knew we wanted to get married on the North Fork and JH didn’t feel like a cookie cutter venue and exemplifies the beauty of the area. Some of our guests stayed at the Inn with us the night of the wedding and we had a delicious brunch the following morning. We can’t say enough about the phenomenal food, every course from cocktail hour to dessert was excellent. Everyone on staff helped us plan and execute a special and memorable day! -

A dream come true!
Where do I even begin? We knew we had to get married at this beautiful place from the moment we found it (such a hidden gem)! There’s just something so magical about it! The owner, Lia, was amazing to work with! She is such a kind, family-oriented, flexible person and she truly made sure every detail was perfect from our rehearsal dinner in the speakeasy, to our ceremony and reception outside and in the barn. The entire team at Jedediah Hawkins Inn are truly exceptional! I always heard that wedding planning was going to be stressful, but Lia and her team made it all so easy and smooth. We had the best day of our lives, thanks to Lia and her amazing team. We are so excited to go back and celebrate anniversaries/birthdays/etc. here in the future! Our guests can’t stop telling us that it was the best wedding they’ve been to, and of course, the BEST food!!! The food was seasonal, fresh, and absolutely delicious!! my fiance and i got married at jedediah hawkins in this past saturday, 9/24/22. It was the most magical, special day of our lives all thank to Jedediah. Lia the owner is excellent work with- she is responsive and makes you feel at ease during wedding planning. Every single one of my guests RAVED that the food was the best food they have ever had at any wedding, and i completely agree. the grounds are the most gorgeous- we took photos in the barn, in front of the inn and gazebo. it was picturesq. If you have a smaller wedding- less than 125- i HIGHLY recommend having it here. it was the perfect rustic north fork vibe we wanted. thank you to everyone at jedediah for making our day the best ever. -

Just had my daughters wedding 9/10/2022. A beautiful Victorian home and barn. Planning the wedding was easy. Lia the manager was extremely easy going and eager to please the bride and groom.. The waiters and staff were very attentive and helpful. The food for the cocktail hour and dinner was Long Island fresh and delicious…. In all it was a magnificent wedding. Thanks to all! -

BEST weekend of my life
Where to begin! We had our wedding weekend beginning on Thursday, July 14, 2022. We first hosted our rehearsal dinner, followed by our wedding on Friday, July 15,2022. I can’t say enough about the extremely helpful and attentive staff. They worked their butts off to make sure everything was perfect. Colin the manager was so responsive via text to help with last minute questions. Ilias was also so helpful in making sure our plans came to life. Korinne took all my decor and transformed the barn into exactly how I pictured It when imagining my big day. Charisse, my bridal attendant deserves all the recognition for making sure our entire day went smoothly and according to plan. She was organized and experienced, which made the day run so smoothly… not even ONE hiccup. The food is to die for. Coming from a big Italian family of foodies, people are still raving about the food. All saying it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The bartender was great. The waitresses were great. I just truly can’t say enough about my perfect day. If you’re considering Jedediah as your wedding venue, you should definitely move forward. Lia, the owner, makes all your wedding dreams a reality. Especially if you’re a perfectionist, type-a kinda party planner, like me! -

I had my wedding here in the barn on May 13, and I wish I can relive this day. Every single detail, from planning with Lia (the sweetest) to dealing with management (Collin) and my bridal attendant (Grace) even Eugenia who was there almost every time I stopped in, was perfection. The food was absolutely PHENOMENAL, and the bridal suite was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. My husband and I are absolutely obsessed with how our special day unfolded and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who helped. Thank you thank you thank you JHINN! We will be back! Hopefully yearly for our anniversary! -

Dream venue!
When we started planning we both knew that we wanted something different — not your typical venue. I started researching and made appointments at a few places out east. We had never been to Jedediah Hawkins Inn before but when I saw the pictures on their website I couldn’t stop thinking about it — and when we pulled into the driveway that first day, I fell in love.
Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel our original date (which was scheduled for just a few weeks into the shutdown). The staff was incredibly understanding during this time.
As soon as it was safe to do so, we rescheduled and planned for an intimate ceremony and dinner for 30. So much had changed from our original day (From 115 people to 30, different season, etc.) but they were so flexible with us and willing to make our new day exactly what we envisioned.
Everything was amazing...the grounds, the staff, the food (if you have never been, go for dinner as soon as you can)! Luckily, we had a gorgeous day and were able to have the ceremony in front of the barn and dinner out on their beautiful lawn. It was picture perfect.
JHI will always be a special place to us and I hope to celebrate many anniversaries there for years to come!
I wholeheartedly recommend JHI to couples looking for excellent food, one on one attention, and a truly special wedding experience.

The perfect venue for our wedding!
Jedediah Hawkins made our wedding day absolutely perfect! When looking for a venue, we wanted to find something unique and special - not your typical ballroom wedding venue. The beautiful property at Jedediah Hawkins and their quaint barn were exactly what we were looking for! We had about 73 guests with outdoor dining on the lawn and dancing in the barn on the property. It was the perfect setting for our September 5th wedding on a gorgeous sunny day! We loved that our guests could spend time outdoors talking and play lawn games away from the music if they wanted, but that we also had a dance party going in the barn at the same time. It was the perfect set up! The staff did an excellent job making things run smoothly, and the food was absolutely out of this world delicious!! We've been to the restaurant at the Inn in the past, and the food at our wedding was the same amazing fine dining experience we have come to love from JHI! An extra special thank you to Colin for working with us to help us make our wedding dreams come true!! We highly recommend Jedediah Hawkins for a wedding venue!! -

Amazing!!! Our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to everyone at Jedediah, Lia the owner was always available by text or phone call even when I later found out she was overseas! I cant explain how perfect our wedding was, people were absolutely astonished by how stunning everything was, commenting that they had never been to a wedding like ours before. The charm and the beauty of Jedediah is amazing, everyone of our pictures no matter where we were was stunning. The food is amazing, everyone commented on how amazing the food was. Service also amazing. They are a boutique hotel and amazing restaurant, so unlike the vineyards where you have to bring people in and do everything yourself, Jedediah does everything for you! took so much stress off of planning not having to worry about hiring caterers, staff, etc. I cant recommend Jedediah enough! We truly could not have asked for a better wedding than what we had at Jedediah Hawkins Inn. Lia, Colin, and the entire staff were professional, accommodating, and responsive from start to finish. The building is beautiful, the services are exquisite, and the food is to die for; but it was the personal care and attention that the Jedediah Hawkins Inn staff put into their work that made our day so memorable.
We sincerely thank Jedediah Hawkins Inn for their hard work and kind care. We received so many compliments all throughout the night and our guests were raving about the venue and atmosphere. Many claimed our wedding to be their favorite wedding ever. It was an amazing wedding, and we have the JHI staff to thank for that.
We recommend JHI to anyone looking for a romantic, relaxing, and magical venue for their event.

Seth Sent on 08/14/2018Being in the hospitality business for most of my life, my definition of perfection is quite high and unattainable to most venues. In short, it's not easy to cater for a life long Executive Chef from a billion dollar company. So when it came down to the basics of what my fiance and I wished for our big day: "Communication,flexibility,trustworthiness, throughly knowledgeabe and welcoming in every aspect", Jedediah Hawkins Inn spoke my language.
From the initial meeting with our wedding planner, Charisse Bourke, who graciously showed off the impeccable grounds, rooms, kitchen, and other dining options, Charisse showed us around Jamesport too. The vineyards, local cafes and gift options like a local chocolatier, to setting plans in motion with a phone call with Proprietor Lia, who set our menu and pricing. Charisse also set a tasting with the Executive Chef at our leisure and made sure that every detail was fussed over and implemented. The food and care were so phenomenal, we booked immediately.
At no time did I ever had to correct or summon someone to fix a problem during our wedding. There were none!
Cocktail hour raw bar stocked with local oysters were beyond a hit. At dinner all were quick to comment positively on the food and service. My new family boasted about their filet mignon (we could've eaten two) the roasted organic chicken and the pan seared king salmon (my personal fave) From local craft beer, to quality spirits, It was all done impeccably and was delivered above and beyond my impossibly high expectations. Charisse was on site all day tending to everything. Our wedding suite boasted the most comfortable bed and linen we've had the pleasure to sleep in. Breakfast the morning after took it up another level. Kudos Chef Stephen Smrcina, GM Colin Keillor, and Lia Polites for making our most special day truly worry free and absolutely delightful.

We had a 120 person weddin ceremony and reception at the inn that our guests are STILL raving about! First of all, the grounds and inn are a perfect understated but elegantly rusic North Fork country-chique atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. The staff were extremely pleasant and willing to help with anything and everything. The food was superb- local, creative, delicious with something for everyone to rave about. Our guests that stayed overnight were impressed with and extremely comfortable in the rooms and the family style breakfast the next morning was perfect to reflect on our special day together with family and friends. The suite was so beautiful and comfortable that we simply didn't want to leave! We really have no complaints other than wishing we could relive it all over again. We would recommend this wedding venue to ANYONE! -

The most beautiful barn and scenery. The day went so smoothly and all the staff was amzing. The cook was phenomenal and he uses all local, farm fresh ingredients which made the food taste extra amazing. Everyone is still raving about the food when I talk to them. The main girl that was helping me throughout the day (Erin) was amazing and went above and beyond for me even helped me take off my shoes and helped fix my hair ! Collin is the manager and he made sure everything went as smooth as possible.
Cons- the months and even the day before there was little to no communication from the owner. Your basically on your own up until then. I didn’t have a planner so it made it extremely stressful for me with zero guidance. They let us go to the barn the day before to set up so that was a big load off my shoulders. Even with the horrible communication it all came together amazingly the day off and I couldn’t be happier! -
