Absolutely wonderful from start to finish!! Such nice people who do excellent work. We met them in person for our engagement photos which turned out amazing. They were so helpful and nice and answered all of my questions throughout the entire process. I never felt like I was bothering them, which is so important for a nervous bride. They brought fun energy during our wedding and enjoyed their presence. All of my friends and family have raved about our beautiful photographs and we are so happy we worked with them and had this experience. Would highly recommend!!! -

The best photographers
Don't think twice, book with these amazing photographers! We got married in Asheville, NC and JCM was our most trusted vendor. They were professional and personable, and made us feel incredibly valued and comfortable on our wedding day. Our day of timeline was running very late, and Jenny and Joe made me feel so comfortable in the midst of chaos and didn't miss a requested photo. They prepared us well for the day of photos, how to get our huge families coordinated, and everything related to the photos ran so smoothly. They constantly asked for our opinions and delivered some of the most EPIC wedding photos I've ever seen. Everyone loved interacting with them at our wedding and they went to great lengths to get the best "action" shots of our crazy wedding guests! -

Joe & Jenny are absolutely amazing!! Their work is phenomenal. We hired them for our wedding and it's truly the best decision we made. The quality of our wedding photos were top-level and truly stunning. Aside from their incredible talent, they went above and beyond for us from the first email to the very end. We didn't meet Joe & Jenny face to face until our wedding day, and they instantly felt like good friends and made us feel so comfortable. (As a bride who hates to be the center of attention, being in front of a camera for 8+ hours seemed nightmarish) These guys brought such a fun, laid-back vibe to the whole experience there was not one moment that I felt uncomfortable or out of place in front of their camera. They were so kind, energetic, creative and fun to work with. They made our photos look natural, candid (not posed or structured) and captured our day in such a unique and special way. Asheville was a destination wedding for us, which made planning a bit stressful at times. But if every vendor communicated the way that Jenny & Joe did... holy cow, the wedding world would be a better place. They responded SO FAST every time we reached out, were professional and were clear and thorough when explaining anything to us. They answered questions, gave recommendations on aspects of our wedding that at times had absolutely nothing to do with photography.. Their experience in the industry truly shows, and they really provided us with a piece of mind throughout the planning craziness as well on our day. I could talk all day about how incredible it was to have Joe & Jenny be a part of our big day. We can't say thank you enough! This is your sign to go with JCM - they're the freaking best :)

Joe and Jen were our biggest cheerleaders throughout our wedding day and radiated positivity. Before we could ask them for help, they were already doing it. Their photography is simply amazing! Unique and full of ‘in the moment’ photos. They give enough direction to where you know what to do during photos, and also encourage natural smiles and laughs with their friendly personalities. I cannot recommend JCM photography enough! When I’m asked about my wedding, I quickly bring up our amazing photographers. They were both incredible throughout the entire journey of our wedding from engagement photos, wedding photos and were VERY responsive.
Jennifer and Joe were more than just amazing photographers at our wedding. Joe helped my husband tie his necktie, supported and got the groomsmen hype throughout the day. Jen fastened my bustle with ease and also supported and encouraged me and my bridesmaids. They both made us, our wedding party, family and guests feel so comfortable and confident. So, if you’re thinking of hiring JCM Photography, DO IT! You will not regret it, in fact, you will thank yourself.

JCM Photography and Balsam Mountain Photography are UNBELIEVABLE!! When we started searching for a photographer, we knew that we would have an incredibly dancey crowd and wanted to make sure we found someone that could really capture the energy; those candid dance floor pictures were a huge priority. We mentioned this to every photographer we reached out to, but Jenny and Joe were the ONLY ones that addressed that. They went as far as to send us galleries from specifically dancey weddings to show what they could do, and we were just blown away from the start how A.) they had the level of care to make sure to show us examples of exactly what we were looking for, and B.) how amazingly they did at capturing those moments! We were immediately sold and so excited to work with them.
Our wedding ended up getting postponed by Covid, and when we nailed down our new date Jenny and Joe were no longer available. They assured us that they would set us up with photographers that could get the job done, and they were not kidding! That is when we started working with Jesse and Megan. They were delightful through all of our communication, the sweetest people! But when it comes to their performance the day of…we are still BLOWN AWAY!! They were EVERYWHERE on the dance floor; they came totally prepared to capture every crazy moment, and did not stop! I have worked in the wedding industry for 9 years and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen photographers so fully encompassing every moment until the very end! We had tons of guests even come up and compliment us on the photographers, all noticing that they were seriously all over it the whole night! Throughout the entire day they were chill, delightful, and really just great people to work with. They were light-hearted and made the entire process fun. They listened to what we wanted when we decided to change up our portrait shot location, and even helped our videographer with his equipment when it was having problems right before the ceremony. And when we got our pictures back….THEY WERE PERFECT!! I had every confidence that they would be amazing, but there aren’t even words to express how great each and every picture is. It’s true, the whole day is a complete and total blur, and at the end of the day the pictures are what you have to look back on, especially for all the things you missed/didn’t get to see while you were busy being pulled in different directions. Going with JCM was the best decision we could have ever made. Our friends and family now have such beautiful memories to cherish forever, thanks to Jesse, Megan, Jenny, and Joe. We are forever thankful we found JCM; now we can always look back on that day and fully see everything that happened, perfectly encapsulated.

We cannot say enough positive things about JCM!!! We purchased their largest package that included engagement photos, bridal portrait, wedding photos, photo booth etc. they did not disappoint!!!
They got amazing, unique shots of us!!! We ALWAYS get compliments on our engagement and wedding photos! They are so fun to work with, professional, responsive. I swear having Jennifer nearby on my wedding day was like having an extra bridesmaid. They made the day really fun!

My fiance and I booked JCM Photography for our engagement photoshoot at the Craggy Gardens in Asheville, NC. We absolutely love how our photos turned out! We received plenty of compliments from family and friends. Some of our family members even called our photos "magical". The photoshoot was not easy to plan given the high propensity of it to rain at the Craggy! In fact, the first time we tried taking photos, it rained on us and we had to reschedule! Despite all of this, Jennifer and Joe helped us throughout the entire process. From the very start, they always responded to our emails/texts/phone calls/questions in a timely manner. In addition, Jennifer and Joe gave made the photoshoot extremely fun. They made us feel comfortable being ourselves, yet gave us the necessary guidance we needed in order to get the pictures we wanted. We highly recommend JCM photography! Jennifer and Joe are genuine, personable, kind and so much FUN! My fiance' and I had our engagement session with them at the Biltmore and it was a wonderful experience I will never forget. My husband and I had the pleasure of being with them on our wedding day and they made us feel like old friends. Our wedding day was the most memorable day of our lives and it wouldn't have been the same without them. The two of them together have a special companionship and are a joy to be around. JCM Photography...It's truly hard to put into words how much we love Jenny and Joe. From when we first met at a coffee shop to over a year later hugging them with grateful tears at the end of the reception, our entire experience far exceeded our expectations.
At our first meeting we discussed a few photos I wanted to make sure were taken outside of the traditional shots. They took very thorough notes and made sure we went over every detail and even had suggestions that I hadn't thought of.
They made us feel very comfortable during our engagement session and made it a lot of fun. They took our vision for the session and ran with it and we were BLOWN AWAY by how the photos turned out! The framed photos were a great addition to our wedding decorations!
The wedding day was perfection and how they work as a team to make everything run smoothly is impressive. Prior to the ceremony Joe was with the guys getting ready at the church and Jenny was with the Ladies at the bridal suite. They captured exactly who we are as individuals and during our first look they captured exactly who we are as a couple. They made sure to get the important traditional pictures as well as the candid moments with our family and friends that will be cherished forever.
When we received our preview from the wedding, one of the first photos was one I specifically asked for a year prior at our coffee shop meeting and it was perfect. That little attention to detail is exactly what they are all about. The friendship we formed, the beers we've shared and the hugs given whenever we run into each other is just cherry on top of having gorgeously captured memories!
We have recommended JCM Photography to several friends and will continue to do so!

Joe and Jenny did our engagement pictures and we were blown away by how natural and creative they turned out. They did not feel staged or cheesy at all and they did a great job capturing both us and the mountains. They did our wedding photos as well and oh my goodness are we thrilled. The pictures are beautiful and all of our friends can’t stop talking about them and asking who our photographers were. Jenny and Joe were amazing. I decided to choose them initially because I liked the idea of having 2 photographers who routinely worked together...seemed like you could definitely get more value and more pics, and it was SUPER helpful in instances like the first look and "getting ready" photos where girls and guys were separated. Their packages seemed reasonable considering the length of time they spend with you, the 2 photographers vs 1, and getting access to all photos after the wedding.
Now with the wedding behind us, I can say I am soooooo glad that we went with JCM photography. First of all, they were just so fun. They were direct and assertive in taking photos (aka, kind of bossy in arranging people but in a good way). That's what you want in a photographer when you have lots of photos to get and don't want to spend all day doing it. They are definitely more focused on getting the candid shots, and that's what we wanted most of also... but of course we did have some family photos/posed photos we needed/wanted to get and they were very efficient in getting those.
3 days after the wedding, I already got a "sneak peak" with 130 pictures to look at! I was not expecting any that quickly. That was so awesome as we didn't have many pics from the night from family and friends. The ones we have seen so far turned out amazing.
All in all, if you want fun photographers who are efficient, assertive, communicative, and amazing at taking photos (obviously), these two are definitely the way to go!!! You won't regret it! -

Our daughter’s wedding was weeks ago and our friends and family are still raving on and on about how beautiful and magical it all was! Joe and Jen helped capture every single magical detail of both the Bridal and the wedding day and we can enjoy all the beauty of each through their photographs for years to come. The photo quality is flawless as is their ability to capture all the many emotions and personalities not only of the happy couple but our entire family. I have worked with photographers in the past who although they can take a great shot may miss the important details even something as simple as paying attention to the guests or making a point to grab the Bride and Groom for a quick set of photos just in time for the perfect sunset shot over the water. Their entire team kept surprising me each time I would think ‘oh this would be a great shot where is my camera’ they were already there on the scene grabbing each and every moment as if reading my mind. I was impressed to say the least after a long hot day of shooting and chasing down the massive chaos that is our family they were just as enthusiastic for the exit photo as the first look. I assure you will be satisfied whether booking a session or an entire event JCM Photography Asheville they will not miss a beat! Phenomenal job of capturing all the tears and the laughs all the moments that will fill our memories! We truly enjoyed working with Jen and Joe the last couple of months and look forward to working with them again in the future! -

The perfect combo of feeling like family while being complete professionals
Jenny and Joe go way above and beyond the call of duty. From our first email exchange to the big day, to the speed at which they got our photos back to us, I cannot recommend them enough. They take their work very seriously and put out INCREDIBLE photos, but they are the most down to earth, easy to get along with people in the business. They captured epic and stunning still photos that make us look like moviestars, as well as killing it on the candid front! Having Jenny and Joe as our wedding photographers was the best decision we made (other than saying “I do”). From the moment we met them at our engagement session to the final goodbyes leaving our wedding, they were a joy to work with. They made the process so enjoyable and easy that we knew we hired the best! On our wedding day, we were so impressed by their professionalism and passion for what they do. Wedding day can be very stressful, and it’s so important to find someone who cares about your wedding as much as you do and we knew we hit the jackpot with them. They wanted to make sure that all of our desired pictures were taken, while at the same time, keeping everyone entertained and comfortable! We were so impressed with how all of our pictures turned out, and how quick of a turnaround it was to get the pictures back from Jenny and Joe. They played it off better than I did...
I planned a surprise proposal at the Biltmore. Jen and Joe were perfect! they got there way before I did and even my now fiancé thought they were bird watching. She had a little bit of an idea of what I was doing but no idea about the photographs. Everything went so smooth and Jen and Joe's help planning had a lot to do with that. The Best Photography Team!!!
AMAZING! We could not have wished up a more perfect photography team for our big day! Jenny and Joe are the most professional, fun, talented duo that we have ever met in their field. We knew before our first meetup that we wanted them, but meeting up with them at a local brewery really sealed the deal. They are so personable in a way that made all of our guests feel comfortable enough to bring out their outgoing sides to make sure we had the best memories recorded. Jenny photographed the girls getting ready and got so many amazing shots of the Bridal gown and jewelry. Joe spent the morning with the guys and got awesome shots of us all hanging out and the accessories we had. We chose to have a first look in private- Jenny and Joe were able to quietly be there in a way that allowed us to be ourselves and enjoy our first moments together and feel like we were completely alone- yet we have so many great photos from it. They stole us away from the party a few times when the lighting outside was just perfect- but also gave us the option to pass on more photos if we wanted to keep on dancing. Their photobooth was one of the highlights of the night for our guests! It was so easy to use with quality photos AND Gifs. The photobooth photos were available to view right away so we got a good laugh at those before we even left for our honeymoon. We were shocked with how quickly we got our final photos back from them which included over 1,000 edited items that we will forever have available in digital format at no added cost. Their quality, communication, efficiency, and all around awesomeness are worth the price and peace of mind when it comes to documenting such an important event. We really feel that our wedding day experience was made even better by having Jenny and Joe there- they’re not just wedding photographers, they are Wedding Memory Makers!! My fiance hired JCM photography for a surprise proposal at the Biltmore in Asheville, NC. Two strangers that I never met popped out of the shadows and were so energetic. I was still a little bit in shock. We had a 15 min session with them because out carriage was late. In just 15 minutes they were able to capture pictures that described us as a couple, our love and the special moment as we start the journey of the rest of our lives together. My fiance after described how easy they were to get ahold of them when snow almost ruined our trip and they helped him find the most amazing spot for the most amazing moment of my life, well up to that point. We LOVED their clarity and vibrant pictures so much that we paid for them to come all the way to Raleigh, NC for our wedding. It did not hurt that they are the most down to earth and friendly people. They are great to work with and really point you in the right direction for gorgeous photos. They capture beautiful pictures that are nothing short of breathtaking. They were a little more than I had budgeted for the wedding but honestly they were worth every penny!!! You will not find better photographers. I was a little worried about them being so far away and the communication but they made communication so easy. When we did out initial phone meeting it felt like we were talking to old friends. They made sure to get the shots we wanted! And a complete bonus that they are super quick with providing the edited pictures. I think for the engagement it was about a week and we had all our gorgeous photos. You can really tell they love what they do and they are great at what they do. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in any area looking for a photographer. -

We had the pleasure of meeting this awesome husband & wife combo thanks to my sister in Asheville. We couldn’t have asked for a better engagement session. They were kind, courtesy, flexible, funny, & professional! Being a gay couple from L.A. we weren’t entirely sure what to expect outside our natural habitat but they made us feel safe, loved, & respected. I would highly recommend them for any occasion. I can’t say enough about the quality of our engagement pictures! Literally breath taking & beyond what I had imagined! Having a very tough time deciding on our save the date because I like them all! As we approach the end of our fourth month of marriage many things have come easy, but our reviews sure haven’t. The challenge of this review surfaces from a difficulty to find the words best appropriate to articulate just how wonderful our experience has been. My husband, and I began our wedding photographer search thinking this would be an area that we wanted to save money. The more we thought about it and shopped around, the more we realized just how important our wedding photographer was going to be (I mean they are the ones taking the photos that we will cherish for a lifetime right?). I ran across JCM photography on google and fell in love with the raw beauty of their photos (it was obvious their photos were pieces of art, not created through tons of editing but through an eye (or lens ) for creativity). I immediately reached out to Jenny and Joe to inquire about their availability for our wedding date. They were speedy to get back to me and within a few exchanged emails, we had a meeting time scheduled for that evening. I think of myself as someone who thrives on interpersonal communication, so when given the opportunity to meet in person versus over the phone, I immediately jumped at that chance. They offered a coffee shop, as if they already knew me (you could basically say coffee runs through my veins lol). I left our meeting knowing in my heart that I had found our wedding photographers – a husband and wife couple who I gleaned from our first meeting were down to earth, confident yet humble, organized, funny, genuine, and very creative. Jenny and Joe were with us throughout our entire engagement - shooting our engagement photos, my bridal session, and our wedding. They drove all over Asheville (4 different locations to be exact) in order to get the best engagement photos possible for Lee and I given the extremely foggy circumstances we were faced with. They trekked through the woods, froze their hands, feet, and faces off to get bridal portrait shots for me. They were stuck to our side the entire day of the wedding not only ensuring that all of the precious moments imaginable were captured but also to provide whatever love and support they possibly could. We received a preview of our wedding photos 4 days after the wedding (that’s like basically unheard of) and the rest of our photos came just a couple weeks later! We could not be more impressed with how all of our photos turned out and are so thankful for the expertise and professionalism of these two photographers. Somewhere along the lines of working with Jenny and Joe, they became more than just our photographers, they became our friends! Our wedding day was nothing short of absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t be more pleased and thankful for this husband and wife team that we selected to capture such special moments for us!

Best Photo Team
Since we were planning a destination wedding, we had to base all of our vendor decisions based on their social media, reviews, etc. After thoroughly stalking JCM Photography (haha), we loved their portfolio! We really wanted photographers who had previously shot at our venue (Homewood) since it has darker accents inside the ballroom and doesn't have the best interior lighting. Joe and Jenny were so funny, personable, organized, and easy to work with. They made us feel at ease on our wedding day. Between them and our day of coordinator (Nikki Sciurba), we were on schedule the entire night. We also got a sneak preview of our wedding (over 100 photos!!!) within 4 days. Unheard of!!! We could not ask for better wedding photographers to capture one of the most important days of our lives. -

Jenny and Joe. I cannot say enough good things about this awesome duo. They were among the first vendors we hired and definitely one of our best choices! JCM captured all of our most important moments in the most beautiful ways. They were incredibly helpful during the planning process, and were really wonderful at helping make this camera-shy couple love the process. Jenny especially was amazing the day of, and was very accommodating in adding a last minute extra hour due to concerns over poor weather, and helped soothe a worried bride's nerves.
By the end of event, we felt like we had made some new friends and hope to book with them again for an anniversary shoot in the future.

Where do I even start telling you about JCM Photography? I can’t say enough good things about this experience with Jenny and Joe. First of all, they were absolute fun, and set all of us right at ease. I loved their personalities, and they were so easy to click with. My fiancé and I had picked them when we began planning our wedding. When we reviewed their online portfolios and pictures, their style was just different. The thing we noticed is that they captured feelings, emotions, and relationships so well, in just a simple a photo. We met them before the wedding, and immediately just clicked with them. They guided us through the process of picking poses, shots, etc. Other than a few of my fiancé and I, and our parents and bridal party, that we had requested, we had seen enough of their portfolio and really just wanted them to do what they do best. We loved having them suggest things to us, playing around with lighting, etc. We truly could not be happier with our pictures. When our preview went on Facebook, I thought our friends and coworkers were going to break the internet. They are true professionals – it was phenomenal having two photographers of equal talent that worked together so well as a team. They divided and conquered the day so as not to miss a thing, and worked fantastic together to create memorable shots that captured exactly who we are as a couple. As we have been reviewing the pictures recently, we are both amazed at how well they captured the emotion of that day, as well as the relationships between people. It was better than we could have ever imagined. -

We loved Jenny and Joe! The first time we met them, we knew they would be the perfect fit for our wedding day. We hardly have any pictures together and were thrilled we were getting nice photos for our wedding day. Where to begin? Well, I guess I would ask a question. Having trouble finding a bad review? There's a reason. From meeting them at a Bridal show 2 years ago to our wedding 2 weeks ago, Jenny and Joe have been absolutely amazing. Professionally: amazing quality pictures, they just capture something special. Personally: so down to earth and fun. They make you feel so comfortable, it's easy to be long-lasting friends with the both of them. Yes, they are slightly expensive, but trust me, 100% worth it. Without question, the best decision we made was hiring them to be our photographers! We had them for engagement shoot as well as the wedding. The pictures they took are absolutely stunning! We can't wait for all of our wedding pictures to come back. Would absolutely not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for photographers, and if the need arrises for a maternity shoot, will not hesitate to hire them again! Only wish I could give them 10 stars!! -

They made us feel so comfortable and kept us laughing which gave us such adorable candid pictures. Its awesome to have not one, but two professional photographers shoot one of your special days. Aubrey Sent on 09/18/2018Jenny and Joe did our engagement photos and our wedding photos. They are seriously SO amazing. They are super nice, and make you feel so comfortable. We felt like we had known them forever, and we definitely gained some friends coming out of it. They do such a great job of blending in and make your photos look completely natural. Nothing was staged or forced, and most of all they made it so FUN! They were a bit in the higher end of our photo budget but they were seriously worth every penny, and I wouldn't have changed it for anything. We have some seriously beautiful photos and memories that will last a lifetime. We will definitely be using Jenny & Joe any time we need photos in the future and can never thank them enough for capturing our special day so perfectly!!!

Jenny and Joe were extremely responsive which is a huge plus in my book, especially during the stressful time of wedding planning. They were flexible with the package options and answered my many questions quickly and with smiley faces! On our wedding day, we had the threat of rain (luckily it held off for the ceremony) and they were on point making sure we got in all the photos we could before the rain came in. Or wedding party commented on how NOT annoying the photo taking process was as compared to other weddings they had been a part of. Jenny and Joe made everyone laugh and during the reception I barely knew they were there. We received a preview of our photos within days of the wedding and the whole package within a couple weeks, talk about speed! They captured all aspects of our day! And then we knew they were awesome because our engagement photos with them came out amazing! But when they showed up on our wedding day, they were INCREDIBLE. They are a power house team! They went right to work the second they showed up and got pictures of every little detail. Some of the shots I didn’t even realize they were taking. They really do capture the real life moments. They respond to emails within a day and are always so positive and friendly. They make you feel like your wedding is truly a special day to them. A very enjoyable couple to be around who provide a service that is also sooo enjoyable and easy. I have been in and to a lot of weddings, and always noticed the photographers always being so pushy and rude, while trying to get the best candid pictures as I understand. JCM not only blew away my expectations and wants in photos but also them splitting up with Joe spending time with the groomsmen as they were getting ready and then Jenny spending time with the bridesmaids was such a customized feeling. While these two beautiful humans make you feel and look like you are the most glowing people on earth, with their booming personalities there was never a dry, awkward moment in between shots. They also far exceeded my expectations that I had as a little girl about what my engagement photos would look like. I live in Florida now but got married in Asheville and want them to be my personal traveling photographers to catch every important moment in my life! That is how much I trust and admire their eyes and work! Love you JCM, and anyone who decides to use someone else is just missing out...oh and very affordable as the kicker...thanks again you two!

We trusted nobody better than Jenifer and Joe. We first met them about a year ago over a cup of coffee and some appetizers at Wicked Weed in Asheville. My wife and I feel absolutely in love with this passionate couple. Throughout the year they were so easy and fun to get to work with and get to know. They felt like family from our initial visit. As far as the work goes well let me just say these folks know more about photography than most! They have a great working relationship and truly care about the couple that is getting married. Everything is so thought out and they are wonderful communicators. They almost seem like motivational speakers at times. If you are looking for a wonderful team leading your entire wedding photo process please look no further than Joe and Jenny! You WONT be disappointed!

I immediately fell in love with their natural and photojournalist style after browsing through their albums online so I decided to email them for some more information. They were quick to reply and full of enthusiasm! Every email response had a smiley face and at least 3 explanation marks in it! :D They worked with me on my budget and how they could cater their services to fit my needs. They also helped me determine the time I should have my wedding based upon when the pictures would look the best. My fiance and I then met up with them at Char Bar 7 in Asheville once we officially booked them and after meeting them in person, it made us all the more excited! Joe and Jenny are such easygoing, down to earth and just utterly pleasant people!! We had total confidence in their skills and basically let their creativity flow when it came to the best spots for our pictures. (Jenny came and toured the venue with us so we could find the perfect locations!) We loved the ease of their pictures, like it was video instead of photographs. They caught the 'in the moment' photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. And honestly, I forgot they were even there except during the family photos and couple photos. Dave and I were able to experience our wedding to the fullest without a single worry that Jenny & Joe were missing anything. EVERYONE LOVED their work (and we've only just gotten the previews!) and we couldn't be happier!! They truly captured US, as individuals and now as husband and wife. Thank you infinitely for these most treasured precious memories.

Jenny and Joe are incredibly professional and were able to capture so many precious moments for us. Prior to the wedding they asked me what pictures were the most important to me and I'm positive they checked every single one off the list (And then some!) I was pretty bummed when I realized that my outdoor wedding would be ruined by hurricane Nate, but these two braved the rain with us and captured some of the most incredible and stunning photos I have ever seen! They are also exceptionally well priced for the quality they provide! Would HIGHLY recommend!
