Book Jay's for your Wedding!

We hired Jay's for our wedding at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and they were absolutely amazing. The tricky part of our venue is that there was no kitchen! You would have never known that they had to build their own temporary kitchen on the lawn outside!

You really can't go wrong with any of their food options (short ribs & lime chicken were amazing) - everything was way higher quality than your typical wedding food! Everyone was extremely professional, great communicators, and really want to go the extra mile to to please! It was so much easier to have your apps/dinner, bar, and dessert all order from one place. We ordered our wedding cake from them too and it was so good.

I wanted to have an authentic 1944 Mai Tai as my signature drink - I gave them the recipe and a provided a few extra ingredients and they made it happen!

Their pricing was fair and very transparent, their servers/bartenders were awesome, and everything ran like clockwork for our wedding. Highly recommend!

The most delicious wedding menu

All of our guests raved about how good the food was at our wedding. Everything was perfect and there was so much food and many side options to please everyone. Our appetizers for cocktail hour were a huge hit as well. 10/10 amazing food.

Delicious!

I used Jay's for catering for my sister's baby shower. I ordered their Savory Brunch with gruyere egg casserole, apple chicken sausage, sweet potatoes, fresh fruit, and assorted muffins. I also ordered a few pans of the blueberry French toast casserole. Everything was incredible! Not only did the food come packaged in containers that kept them warm for hours (literally, they were still piping hot as I packed up leftovers hours later!), but everyone raved about how delicious the food was. There was more than enough for the amount of people that attended. I would use Jay's again in a heartbeat for any event that I need catered.

Best Catering

Jay’s is a personal favorite for family and for my husband. Long before I met my husband, my parents used Jay’s Catering for all events. From sports banquets to the silent auctions, Jays was always our top choice. When we got engaged and found our Venue, we explored multiple caterers. We even went to a few tasting events. When we were invited to the Taste of Jay's event we were blown away. Every item was better than the next. The choice to hire Jay’s was obvious. They had a huge variety of food selections. The fan favorite hors’ devours was the beef wellington and everyone loved Jay’s famous Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano. We worked specifically with Brianna Long. She was quick to respond, incredibly kind, and was helpful in answering all our questions. Jay's surpassed all our expectations!

Incredible food and service!

Can not recommend Jay’s enough! We’ve heard from so many of our guests how incredible our food was! We absolutely fell in love with our event captain, Kat, and the whole team took such good care of us and our guests. Professional and personable through the whole process, it is clear that everyone on Jay’s staff truly loves what they do. So grateful we had them on our team!

Amazing Food

What an incredible VENUE!!! Sierra was amazing and so was her team. They took care of us. They asked great questions and got details that they needed. The coordinated great with our wedding coordinator, Tanairy. Everything the day of the wedding was done the right way and I wasn’t worried about anything. The Estate on Second is an incredible venue and you don’t have to do much to it to make it look beautiful. The food at the venue was incredible and people couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The venue is great since the cocktail hour takes place upstairs and then you come downstairs for dinner and the rest of the reception. It breaks up the day nicely. Thank you again to the team and Jay’s Catering!

Incredible

My husband and I were blown away by the quality of food we had for our wedding. We had SO many guests tell us after about how much they loved it and many said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We enjoyed the Taste of Jay's event we were able to attend to try the variety of food Jay's offers. Food is a big deal to my husband, so he wanted a good meal for our first meal together as husband and wife. Jay's surpassed our expectations and the service was amazing as well! Everyone was professional and friendly, making our day that much better. Thank you again, Jay's Catering!

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!

Amazingly delicious food! Jay’s was very accommodating to our wedding. If there was something we wanted to change on our menu, they accommodated our request. At the wedding they were attentive to my husband and I along with our guest to assure that everyone was reviving the proper service. Our guest loved the food and could not stop talking about how delicious it was! Highly recommend Jay’s catering, the Italian menu is delicious!

Company Catering

Jays Catering has been feeding my work company for years! Our last event we hosted Italian food and it was amazing! They provided everything from tablecloths to a variety of food options. They’re scheduling was prompt for pickup and delivery, the quality has always been amazing, and their service is spectacular.

We got to enjoy our food

The food was amazing. Everyone was so happy with the food. Plus their staff was so attentive and brought food to my husband and I all night, we definitely ate. It was great to be able to enjoy all the food we carefully selected. Plus we went home with a bunch of leftovers. Fortunately a lot of it froze well and we had meals ready to go a few months later. We also went with their dessert bar - the selection was amazing!! Our friends are still talking about it.

Happy with our choice!

Jay's Catering was a great match for our wedding! I was worried about booking my wedding at the Estate on Second because I only had one choice in vendor, but it turns out that the vendor was perfect! Jay's was professional, served high quality food, and were VERY accommodating to my guests. All of our guests commented on the food positively, especially the tacos and small dessert options! Best Food Ever

Jay's Catering is the most professional catering company and the food was AMAZING - by far the most compliments we got from our guests was that this was the only wedding they wanted to get seconds! The BBQ and mac n cheese was so delicious and the cake was beyond good!

We had an amazing time working with Brittany at Jay's Catering. She worked with us on what would fit into our budget, and what we wanted. Everyone loved the food and they packed up the leftovers for us to take home. I would recommend Jay's to anyone, they have so many options to choose from.

Responsive and Accommodating

We loved that Jay's Catering also owned our venue which made planning such a breeze. What truly made Jay's amazing what the service provided by their staff, especially Hannah, Hannah was always so responsive to the millions of questions we had, and accommodated our special requests. The feedback we received from guests was that the food was amazing (definitely not banquet food) and the catering staff was on point. Jay's also gives you the leftovers from your event which is so much better than throwing it away and after your event you'll have amazing food that you don't need to prepare. Jay's is more of an a la carte instead of different packages so be prepared for that, but they are definitely worth every dime!

I cannot say enough great things about Jays! Not only did we use them for our catering, we also used them for all of our wedding rentals. Jay's catered our recent wedding at The Casino San Clemente and they knocked it out of the park! Eunice was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, and they made the whole day SO much easier. It's great to be able to source not just food and bar from the same vendor, but also tables, linens, and dishware. Their food was delicious (people were raving about it all night) and their service was amazing. DEFINITELY recommend!

I held my mother's 50th birthday party on Saturday and bartered with Brandon Harris who was a champion in recommending/creating/organizing an incredible menu for judgmental guests ahaha. We had vegetarian everything: palm sandwiches, Mediterranean trays, Thai spring rolls, Italian lasagna, Mexican tres leches cake, California fruit torte(aka cake two). Literally cake two was the largest singe layer cake ever seen. My nephews eyes lit up and worth the order. A lot of the guests were older and absolutely loved the lasagna served super hot, and accommodating to all tastes buds. Also, the delivery team did a great job with setup and setdown no hassle at all shout out to them. My mother regularly drives by Jay's offices on her way home from work and wondered about them, now we will be a repeat customer. My recommendation is a Guarantee.

Jays was fantastic!! They were professional, punctual, and extremely attentive to my husband and I through our entire wedding! It seemed like they anticipated anything we might want before we had even thought of it ourselves. Moments after our vows, my husband and I exited into the ballroom of our venue where we were greeted by our waitress who had a drink ready for each of us. She also brought us appetizers so we could have a bite to eat before going off to take our bride and groom portraits. And when we entered the reception, they had even served us each a plate and had them ready for us at our sweetheart table. They even took the time to make sure my plate was vegetarian. They kept the drinks coming to us all night, filled our glasses, and cleared plates quickly. Best of all, our guests all agreed they had the same experience! The Jay's team were attentive and curious to our guests and made everyone feel well taken care of. AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! A saw a huge number of my guests even went back for seconds. I lost count of how many people commented on how amazing the food was! We had the Mexican food, something we were at first hesitant about since our guests would not appreciate inauthentic or bad Mexican food. Jays exceeded our expectations! Everything tasted amazing and was presented beautifully. They even took the time to send my husband and I home with a lunch for the following day! Hire Jays as your caterer- you will not be disappointed!!

We found out about Jay's through The Loft on Pine as they are one of their preferred vendors. Compared to the other preferred vendors, their prices were more reasonable and the food was more streamlined and straightforward than the other options.

Since using them, I would have chosen them again in a heartbeat because of a slew of other reasons too -- everyone raved about the food at our wedding, we had a wide variety of options and they were flexible to swap in veggie/vegan versions of their existing dishes (salad w/o cheese for example), and Hannah, who we worked with was fantastic throughout.

My parents went to the couples' tasting since my husband and I live in Seattle, and they were also incredibly pleased with the service, kind people, and great working relationship that we had with the folks at Jay's.

Jay's Catering did a fantastic job from the months before to the day of our wedding. Our coordinator was very on top of things. She was responsive, and flexible, especially with my budget. Jay’s is amazing! Nickie was our coordinator and she was fantastic. She worked with me on the different types of menus I wanted to explore. She was extremely responsive and so helpful. The food was AMAZING. We had brisket, chicken, a mashed potato bar, and more. The Jay’s staff were very professional on the night of the wedding. Our dinner was served buffet style. Before the guests went to the buffet, the Jay’s team brought a plate of food to my husband and I at our sweetheart table. I thought this was so sweet since most people say “you don’t have time to eat on your wedding day.” When we left, they gave us a goodie box with a mini bottle of champagne, sandwiches, chips, and a cookie. It was so thoughtful. I’m so happy we used Jay’s. We’ve used them at family and church gatherings for years, but their wedding menu and staff blew me away.

Jays catering is absolutely AMAZING. They catered my wedding just this last weekend, and they went above and beyond. April was a pleasure to work with, she was always on top of things and was quick to respond to emails. The food was wonderful, we had Italian and we got many compliments from our guest about how good our food was! At the end of the night Jays even gave us a care package with a little midnight snack, knowing the bride and groom don't get much to eat on their wedding night because of nerves. My family has also used Jays for other family events like Baby Showers and Memorial Services. Hands down I would use Jays again and again!

We didn't have a choice, Jay's was the contracted vendor with our wedding venue, but boy are we glad that they were! I liked the tastings, they were fun and everything there was good, but something happened in between then and my wedding. We got so many compliments on the food! Not only that, but the staff was very helpful and pleasant. It was an all around great experience! We worked with Hannah Stuber, who had the daunting task of taking over the coordination of our wedding food about 3 months before the wedding when our original coordinator was not available any longer. She was fabulous!

I am so happy that my venue had a contract with Jay's. We were invited to a food tasting prior to our wedding which. All of the food was amazing, but the tasting helped change our mind about the menu we wanted for our wedding. The day of every single guest enjoyed the food. We had so much leftovers that Jay's sent us home with trays full of food. Our guest are commenting a week later about how amazing the food was.

We used Jay's catering for our wedding because we have read so many great reviews on them, and decided to go in for a tasting. Just the tasting alone blew us away, because when you hear the word tasting, you think Costco samples, so we had eaten a little before we went, and immediately regretted it! There was so many different choices for just about anything you could think of! Since we were having a wedding at a park, we wanted to do their small stations, and again, they are not small at all! We chose to have a filet minion carvery, vegetarian lasagne, Mac & cheese, and mashed potato bar, and to top it all off, a dessert bar with an amazing wedding cake! Everything was delicious! Everyone raves about the food, and I seriously encourage Jay's to open a fine in restaurant because the food is just that good! Thank you Jay's for making our special day, AMAZING! Would definitely do it all over again!

I cannot say enough good things about this catering company. I felt good about them to begin with because I have a few friends who have worked with them on other events that said good things about them. Then, I experienced their service and tasted their food and I was not disappointed. The food was so good and several guests commented on how good it was. They made everything so easy, were there on time, professional, they took excellent care of us, and sent us off with sandwiches, special cookies, and a small bottle of champagne. I did not go hungry - you often hear brides saying how they didn't eat, but we did. My family took all the leftovers too. The portions are generous. The cake was delicious. They were also so reasonably priced for wedding caterers. I didn't feel as if they were hiking prices simply because it was a wedding, I felt we really had a good value with them. I would love to use them again for another event that needs catering.

We had Jay's Catering cater our wedding and they were WONDERFUL!!! The cupcake tower was beautiful, the buffet food was delicious and the entire staff was professional! Since we were married on a Friday, they offer a "Fabulous Friday" which fit our budget perfectly! Our contact was April Chaim who was a delight to work with! She was very easy to get in touch with and always made sure I was happy with the answers/options. We were so happy with our catering services! We were able to get a fantastic Sunday package special which gave us room in our budget to add on a few extras. All the food was amazing. We are still receiving compliments about how good everything was. The first thing people mention when we see them for the first time since the wedding was how incredible the mashed potato bar was! Not only were they great with the items they offer, but they were also very willing to work with me on a special request. We decided to do a cheese fondue dip on each of the tables to act as our centerpiece. They had their head chef create a recipe for us, and even though it was the first time they had done something like that, everything came out delicious! The cheese is still a major item that gets talked about also. While it was a little bumpy through the planning process since we switched our contact person about 3 times and we had such a special request, they still were able to make everything wonderful. We couldn't have been happier!

I don't even know where to start. I worked with Nicki, and all I can say is that she made my husband and I feel 110% comfortable about everything! She and I communicated quite often and she was the most organized and transparent person.

Jay's did everything from our incredible food, appetizers, stocked bar, beautiful cake, linens, silverware, plates, special head tables flawlessly! I can't even tell you all the people that raved about our appetizers and said how good the food was. The bartenders were super friendly and the staff was great!! Really I can't say enough good things about our experience with Jay's.

My husband and I were married in May 2014, and Jay's catered our wedding. We were beyond happy with the food and service.   

We worked with Emily for over a year leading up to the big day, and she was ALWAYS on top of everything. We went through several revisions of the menu and our guest count fluctuated considerably, but Emily was able to keep everything organized perfectly. She responded promptly to my (numerous) emails and I never had an issue getting ahold of her by phone. Scheduling our tasting and our final details meeting was a breeze, and Emily always came prepared.

  The day of our wedding, guests went on and on about the fantastic food. And so much of it, too! Everything that was supposed to be hot was hot, and everything that was supposed to be cold was cold. The bartenders were great -- they mixed awesome drinks quickly and kept the line at the bar short. The event captain and staff were on top of their game too and everyone was well taken care of.   

Food and drinks were an important part of our wedding and Jay's more than exceeded our expectations!

Gaylen Wakefield is the absolute best Jays employee! She was so helpful, and knowledgeable about what services Jays offered, and what went into the food as well. The whole company is incredibly professional, well trained staff, and the food is AWESOME. That pesto tortellini was beyond heaven. If I had a fancy get together every year I would have Jays there to help me! The tasting was so much fun. From their "make your own mojito bar" to the roasting of marshmallows. Yum. Thank you for working so hard for us Jays!

We had a great experience with Jay's Catering. We got married at a venue that had a list of approved caterers so we decided to go with Jay's. Our first experience with Jay's is when they hosted a tasting night for potential clients and it was a blast! We got the sense that this catering company is a family. Granted, it is family owned, but I got the feeling that they encompassed their all of their staff into their family as well as their clients. We were assigned a representative who answered every single one of my meticulous questions without hesitation. Unfortunately, the girl who was assisted us moved away so we were assigned to Emily. Emily was just as great as our previous girl if not better. It was a seamless transition. She joined late in the game, but had done her homework and knew everything there was to know about our wedding. She had an answer for every question I had which let me know the caterers had everything covered and there was nothing to worry about. Fast forward to the day of: They reserved some appetizers for us so that we wouldn't miss them because of pictures. One of the servers was so sweet and made sure that we had champagne or beer for my husband and even brought us plates of food so we didn't have to go to the buffet. The food was also great, everyone loved it. We had met with the cake designer and it turned out just as we had discussed. They did a great job and definitely have my recommendation :)

I had a SURPRISE wedding! Yes, almost 200 guests attended our "Engagement Party". It was going to tough but with Jay's help we hit a home run! I am in the wedding industry and dealing with MY wedding was something I didn't want to stress out about. I got married at the Ebell Club in Long Beach and Jay's is the exclusive caterer there. I have heard many great things about this company but none of the compliments were even a fraction of the quality I witnessed on my wedding day! First off, we came in to meet Richelle I was so impressed by her level of professionalism and creative ideas. Not only did she give a phenomenal first impression but her support continued at that level throughout the process. I am not a traditional bride and she worked with me on creating a "Non-Traditional" day that will leave my guest talking about it for years to come.
Now let's talk food....
"That was amazing wedding food", said NO body ever! Well, that was NOT the case at our wedding! Every single one of my guest raved about the food. From our signature cocktail to the mashed potato bar. Don't forget about the Beef Wellingtons, what a pallet pleaser! There are so many compliments I could give but the one creative addition to our wedding was THE CAKE... oh, what a cake. It was a Croquembouche which is a classic French dessert. They have classically trained French Pastry Chef that created my one of kind 4 foot tall masterpiece of a cake. Every person was a pleasure to work with and created a magical day for me and my husband. There was not an empty glass on a table or linen out of place. From the captain to bartender every one was on point the entire night. Team work is what makes events run smoothly and it showed during this "production". We had a band, painter, photobooth, a video showing, crystal trees, and we even made it snow!!! Jay's worked so with with all of the other vendors it was as if they had all worked together before. I can't thank them enough. wish I could write more!

Jay's catering was awesome! Emily was our catering manager. She was wonderful and very responsive. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Very patient. The price for food was definitely very affordable compared to others. We received a lot of compliments saying the food was great. Also, the cake was phenomenal! They created our exact design and it taste good as well. We really can't wait to eat the top layer for our one year anniversary! Overall very good to work with and the food was good. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a caterer!

The best caterer ever!!!!! If Jays is near your venue, BOOK THEM NOW. Don't even bother with looking for others. Emily was our event manager and she was amazing. She's practically a coordinator too. She took care of so many details and is so organized. I couldn't have had a better experience with the planning side. Now time for the most important part..the actual food. It's what everyone will remember from your wedding. I got so many calls and texts over the several days following our wedding and they all started with how great the food was! Jays did our food, desserts, cakes, and bar. They provided linens, dishes, etc. Once you book them, you'll get to sign up for the tasting night. Bring a few guests (costs extra). we brought my parents and they flipped! They couldn't believe how amazing all the food was as well as the service from the staff. It was one of the best parts of the actual planning of the wedding. Eliminate some of the stress in planning a wedding and book Jays. You'll be so happy you did.

Jay's were fantastic!! I have received so many compliments about our food and our cake was so divine that the mother of the groom devoured our top tier without thinking that we would want to save it!! Jay's took every note and every vision and executed it with perfection!
Our original coordinator left the company before our wedding, which meant that I had the pleasure of finishing up the details with Richelle Davidson. She is wonderful. If you land her as your coordinator, you are in luck. She is extremely helpful and will make sure each and every one of your requests is carefully taken care of and even throw in some suggestions and hints of her own.
They were so flexible and accommodating every single step of the way despite last minute changes and problems on our end. The leftovers were sent home with us and kept us fed for days afterwards and the staff provided myself and my husband with take away box to satisfy our post-wedding munchies! The staff were wonderful and took great care of us and our guests.
I really cannot speak highly enough of Jay's and all that they do.

All I have to say is thank you, thank you , thank you!!!! My husband and I got so many compliments on the food. The process was very easy and honestly working with Toni was the best overall. She is kind and thoughtful and she remembers small details. The cake came with our food so there was no extra cost... Awesome! AND they were able to add lace and diamond broaches on the cake at no extra cost.The food at both the reception and cocktail hour was hot the entire time. we had over the amount of food needed so no one was hungry. The bartender was a total hit as well. Great drinks and he had a great attitude. It was a very stress free and amazing addition to the day.

We hired Jay's Catering for our wedding as they were the least expensive preferred caterer at our venue. I plan events for a living so I know a good caterer when I see one and I have to say that Jay's was top notch for the price. I worked with Toni leading up to the event and she really knew her stuff and was more than patient with a bride who knows too much! Come wedding day, the setup was exactly as we talked about. They even set the linens that I bought on my own. Their staff also went out of their way to move our buffet tables so they wouldn't show in photos during our grand entrance and quickly put them back just in time for dinner (we didn't do our first dance or toasts until later). We were very happy with the presentation of the food and the taste. We got several compliments from guests about how good our food was. Being in the industry I go to food tastings often and have tried everything under the sun, even $200 plates and Jay's food was definitely not lacking.

Jay's did not handle alcoholic beverages as our venue wouldn't allow it (greedy bastards!), they did however include our cake in the price. We weren't super impressed with the flavors but the cake was pretty good. We had 300 guests so we were able to choose 6 flavors. I do have to say that the cake at the wedding tasted better than at the tasting which is usually the opposite situation so I was thrilled. My one tiff is that the cake didn't look quite like the photo we provided. I think it was because they don't do fondant (at least not at the basic price). Anyway, I would just stick to a ribbon around the cake instead of a monogram or fancy designs.

All in all I am pleased that I hired Jay's. They helped my day go perfectly!

Jay's Catering was the best bang for our buck! I think the quality of service and food was the best value and they were so accommodating and helpful! I worked with Wende Gavin to start but then switched to Lauren Ogle who was WONDERFUL! Lauren gave me great recommendations for food and allowed us to create our own cake/dessert selection that was just amazing. Lauren was so familiar with our venue, Casino San Clemente, and how everything would pan out for the night that it all just went so smoothly! The buffet lines went quickly, people enjoyed the food and were able to go back for more and there was still tons of food leftover! The bar was great and stayed longer than we contracted them for. The service was just great! I just feel like Jay's does such a great job of coordinating their weddings and really goes above and beyond at helping the bride and groom and making the night flow seamlessly. It was a really great experiencing working with Jay's and well worth the low price we paid! Would definitely recommend!

This company is AMAZING!!!! If you want great food, excellent coordination of your event, personal attention, and great value....hire Jay's!!!! Chris and Stephanie at Jay's helped us plan our wedding catering and they were both great helps! About 2 months before the wedding we were informed that Stephanie got a promotion and we would now have a new lady helping us, I was nervous about this but as soon as I spoke with Chris I was at ease. She helped so much with the last minute details and really made it all run smoothly.

After the ceremony she brought us out a tray of appetizers and drinks while we were doing our photos outside. They also boxed up all the leftover food after the wedding. We were a little bummed to find out that they had prepared a box lunch for us to take back to the hotel, but somehow we didn't get it before we left. It would have been perfect as we were both starving by the time we reached the hotel! But just knowing that they thought of it was so impressive.

All the guests loved the food and cake (also provided by Jay's).

OMG; the best food on this side of Southern California. First Class catering all the way that won't rob your wallet. First, the professionalism is outstanding; they will work with you until you know for sure it's what you want. We loved the food tasting which helped us pick our menu and even found some extra ideas to go along with our choices. I have to tell you I'm a southern girl and never expected good food and whoever they have in their kitchen (the chef); knows his stuff. Everyone complimented our food choices as well as how good it tasted. They deserve 10 Stars plus the good housekeeping seal because not only did they cook, prepare & setup, but they staffed our affair which made it so easy. My wedding cake was the best cake we have ever tasted. 1st my husband doesn't even like cake but just went for it. During the reception when we cut the cake & fed each other; we looked at each other & blurted out, this cake is soooo GOOD...!!! People came back for seconds & we heard later that others wanted to but didn't want to be impolite. Janice was my coordinator and I can't remember the girl who did my cake but she was awesome. If I hit the lottery, I would throw a big party and hire Jay's Catering! This place is awesome & off the chain!!! Oh and did I mention we had the open bar and the signature drinks were amazing. I wish I could go back & re-live the moment; oh so so GOOD...!!!

My experience with Jay's Catering was wonderful. Ann helped me plan everything. I love how they are all-inclusive so I didn't need to find different vendors for catering and rentals. They also include the wedding cake in the price for food. We thought they would be more expensive but its actually a great deal because they include more than the other companys for a similar price. The food was absolutely to die for! Just delicious! Everything was just perfect. I would recommend Jay's to anyone who wants one less this to worry about on your big day. It was so perfect!

We met the folks at Jay's Catering through our venue, the Ebell Club of Long Beach (exclusive catering vendor there, and that really works!!). We got to know them through our September tasing event, which was great fun and gave us lots to work with as we planned our January 2012 wedding. Teresa Karcher worked closely with us to plan a very special (buffet style, premium bar, cocktail reception preceding dinner) function. It was clever, creative, and yummy ... and met the needs of our very diverse group of friends and family. On our big day, the Jay's and Ebell team delivered an absolutely flawless evening. They worked brilliantly together -- cared for every detail -- and even packed up the wonderful leftovers for us to take home! I can't say enough about their great teamwork, their care for our guests, and the spirit of FUN they brought to our party (especially the bartenders!). Thank you for a wonderful evening!!

If you're looking for french macaroons for your upcoming wedding or event Jay's Catering is the place to go. They can make them in any flavor in whatever color and quantity you want. I had them make the macaroons for my recent wedding and they were delicious. The pricing is extremely reasonable and they are friendly and easy to work with.

Though I had no choice but to use this vendor for my reception, I enjoyed the food and the service was great.

I worked with Ann Taylor, who is awesomel I felt badly because I kept changing my menu and floor plan, but Ann didn't seem to mind.

Jay's Catering was probably the best thing that ever happened to us. They were AMAZING. We got the best compliments on food from our guests, and many people told us it was the best food they had EVER gotten at a wedding. Also, Teresa (our event coordinator) made everything so easy and seamless. Nick (our day of event captain) was super friendly, and went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. We cannot even begin to explain how amazing they were, and how every penny was well worth it.

Jays Catering was DELICIOUS!!! We were very happy with not only the food, but the service and display was excellent. From the first moments of planning through the event they were there to please. We also hired them to cook a brunch for our close family and wedding party the morning after at my parents house. Steve and I live in northern California and most of our friends and family live just as far, if not farther, away from Dana Point as we. So, when my son told us that he and the love of his life were getting married at a resort in the area, we wondered how on earth we could best host an event for the people we cherish most in this world.
We decided that we needed to host both a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening before the wedding and a Sunday brunch the day after the wedding. Both parties needed to accommodate at least 130 guests as the majority of the wedding attendees were traveling thousands of miles to join in the celebration.

Not to worry. Our contact at the rehearsal dinner venue pulled out her extensive list of dozens of caterers and said, “We work with many, many caterers, but Jay’s Catering is the one you want”. She was oh, so right!

Our Event Coordinator, Lynn Likens, guided this bewildered duo through the process from start to finish with skill and confidence. She knew exactly what we wanted and helped us find the perfect expression of those thoughts whether it was helping us choose the entrees and linen colors for our Mexican Fiesta rehearsal dinner, or recommending a wonderful and reasonably priced florist to create our beautiful table centerpieces. Lynn’s recommendation of food to serve our guests was fabulous from the Fiesta buffet combined with wild cherry salads in martini glasses (a favorite with our guests) and the dessert table with caramel custard flan; to the delicious vegetarian quiche for our Sunday brunch. I have a special place in my heart for Lynn as she was always there for us even when all we needed was a bit of hand holding to settle our nerves. It felt as though we were working with a dear friend.

Jay’s staff at both our events could not have done a more wonderful job. Shannon flawlessly coordinated the rehearsal dinner and Richard directed our Sunday brunch with ease. The presentation at both events was beautiful! The tables were always filled with sumptuous, hot food and were always pretty. I didn’t have to do anything. Shannon, Richard and their crews just knew what was needed where and when and did it with warmth and charm that was noted by our guests. Brilliant!

At the end of the week, my son put his arms around us and thanked us for hosting the rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch saying that the wedding, “would not have been the same without these two wonderful events.”

Thank you Jays. You were absolutely magic!

Most importantly the food was amazing!! Service was great. Even when I labled things wrong they were right there to help when it was not their responcibility. Spilt chocolate on my dress and the servers helped me scrub it out. Working with them was an absolute joy. We are planning on using them for my sisters shower!

My wife and I live in Las Vegas. We came to Laguna Beach to get married, and Ann Taylor from Jay's Catering was so amazing. She made us feel so comfortable and she was very flexible with our schedule.

Jay's did evreything, the food was amazing, the wedding cake was so delicious and they made it exactly the way my wife wanted. The staff went above and beyond to make our wedding so special. My wife and I never had to worry about anything they did it all.

I used Jays catering for my wedding reception of 200 people in Sept 2010 and I must say they were AMAZING! I would never ever think of using any other catering company other than them for any future events, parties, or recommendations. Nicolle was my coordinator and she did a GREAT job of making sure everything was perfect for my wedding. Our wedding was in San Juan Capistrano which is about 30-40 minutes away from Jays and the food was hot and delicious for my reception. The staff was great and made sure we got everything we needed. For reference, our menu was: Chicken Veronique, Vegetarian Rotollo Blozano, Rosemary & garlic roasted potatos, hericot vert, and pear salad. I would recommend that exact menu to anyone- we had SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON HOW GREAT THE FOOD WAS! Jays also did our cake which was the best wedding cake Ive ever tasted. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their level of quality and service. FIVE STARS!

My wedding planner, Eulina Morris of Creating a Remarkable Event suggested Jay's Catering. I am so happy that she did. Their food was fabulous, the event specialist Toni Wiley was professional and provided so much insight on creating the best event.

Toni Wiley is out of the Carson Community Center. There is a sub-office in that city; however, I did my wedding at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Toni did a walk through and worked with me on my roughest challenges.

The day of the wedding, head chef Chuck was absolutely wonderful. He was patient, and very, very mannerable and made sure that I ate.

My letter to Toni & Jay's Catering is below.

Dearest Toni,

I write this letter with the deepest gratitude to you and your staff at my 10-10-10 wedding. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was this well-oiled magnificent machine. And the layout for my reception was excellent.

First, I want to thank you for walking this journey with me since May. Your menu suggestions were given with the utmost knowledge and professionalism. Even when I was going back-and-forth with the menu, you were patient and provided a professional perspective that I needed and made me know that you sincerely cared. From the budgeting to the food choices, you were top-notch in guiding this experience.

Your advice and genuine interest in ensuring that I had a grand day was the perfect ingredient to the wedding be such as success. Everyone, I mean everyone raved about the food. It was so good. Even my 92-year-old grandmother who rarely eats in public, let alone stay for a social outing cleaned her plate and ravaged the leftovers this afternoon.

Also, I must commend the staff that catered the party. Chuck was such a sweetheart! He came over to my table several times to make sure that I was satisfied. His personable demeanor really calmed me down and got me to finally eat! And I was so glad that I did because I wolfed my food down. That red snapper Toni was amazing.

The buffet line was perfect and moved with efficiency. And the rest of the staff were extremely nice to everyone and greeted folk as they were served. The food was the icing on the cake! Good food at my family functions is like blood and water to the bones.

In closing, I am so proud to say that I used Jay's Catering and look forward to utilizing wonderful food and service again.

I am a little late in writing this but I finally found time to sit down and write this. I truly don't have the words to express how happy I am that I hired Jay's for my daughters wedding. I had the joy and stress of planning my daughters wedding. I feel so blessed to have worked with Ann throughout this entire process. She was there to hold my hand all the way thru. She always returned my calls and emails right away and never became frustrated with any of my constant questions. And I had a lot of questions! Jay's has great prices and WONDERFUL food. I was blown away with the quality and the selection they had. The night of the wedding was absolutely amazing, the food was perfect, the tables were set early, the entire staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. They made my daughter and her fiance feel very special and also made me feel like I could enjoy the night and they would take care of everything. And that is exactly what they did, took care of every detail that Ann and I talked about.

My wedding was fabulous and Jay's Catering was the primary reason for it. From the Wedding Concierge who helped us find our venue, to the Event Specialist who coordinated the entire menu and event details, to the Event Captain & Staff that executed the event, my husband & I were extremely happy. Our guests raved about the food especially the mini beef wellington appetizers and the chicken veronique entree along with the tri tip. Jay's Catering's food and service made the wedding reception amazing and my family could not have been any happier!

I worked with Ann at Jay's and I am still impressed by her responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine caring for her customers. The food was AMAZING. The setup was done early and their staff was very thoughtful. They made sure that my new husband and I ate dinner and even packed a little 'to go' box for us to snack on. Jay's delivered high-quality, delicious food to our wedding! They are so well known throughout Southern California we knew we couldn't go wrong. Everyone was raving about the food, from the appetizers, to the main course, to the delicious vanilla cream-filled cupcakes! Everything tasted great, and we didn't have a single complaint. We had enough food left over to give away to some at the end of the evening, which the lucky few greatly appreciated. We loved working with Jays. They made my husband and I feel very special and important.

Yum. That's all I really need to say. I received so many compliments on the food it was funny. It's wedding food, but it didn't seem that way at all. I was really sad that I didn't eat much with all that was going on. You won't believe how reasonable the pricing is. I think our open bar might have put them out of business but they hung strong all night! They included linens and set the table beautifully. I'm very happy with their service and will use them again in the future.

Jay's is FANTASTIC- really. Mary, Jay's venue coordinator, helped us select a site which was perfectly suited to our needs and personalities. Ann helped us plan our rentals and our meal selections, during the tasting. She answered all of our questions. And while plans changed from week to week, leading up to our wedding date, Jay's flexed with our needs. Ann and the Jay's team were available and assuring to have on our side for the BIG day.

When the day came, I arrived at our site, Casa Romantica, and Jay's already had everything set. It looked beautiful- perfect- inside and out. I had nothing to worry about, just to enjoy the day. Their staff was friendly and so accommodating. The reception and meal went off without a hitch. The food was excellent. I honestly still have people telling me how good their food was to this day! I was told Jay's made the clean up quick and easy.

I would recommend Jay's Catering in a heartbeat. They were wonderful.

We worked with Jay's based on our wedding locations request... we couldn't have been happier! Janelle, Mary, Lantz and everyone we had the pleasure of meeting were not only professional but were always willing to help with whatever issues or ideas we could come up with. They worked within our budget and made it amazing. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the event staff was great. Nick was our event captain and he treated us wonderfully. I believe that attitude and customer service is as important as the quality of the product (in this case our reception set up, food and drinks) and I can not gush over all of these aspects enough. My husband and I strongly recommend Jay's catering for any event. Especially a wedding. They helped make ours absolutely incredible.

Don't think about it, just hire them. I was more than pleased with their superb work. We even paid less than the other catering co. we were going to assign, only $40 bucks a plate.
Their staff was very friendly with all our guests and they even offered chair and tables for a fee. That took most of my stress away. They were so easy to work with and I hope to be doing more business with them in the future!

Jay's performed my wedding in 2005 and it was wonderful! The staff was so professional, from the wedding coordinator to the event captain. The food was AMAZING- especially their famous "Rotollo Pasta" dish- all of the guests loved it!

The pricing was very reasonable, especially the excellent cuisine packages & bar packages available.

They recommended a DJ service who kept the guests dancing for hours.

Things went so smoothly and everyone had a great time. I recommend Jay's to everyone!

I received excellent service and food through Jay's catering. Food was far superior to any other catering service (and believe me I've tried them all), buffet lines went smoothly, people got adequate amounts of food. Alcohol was provided by us and they did not even charge corkage fees. I made a mental note of how much food people had at the last tables - everyone got full plates.

I had a blast and I got to eat everything that was served. It was so yummy. Not a single bad dish. As soon as we arrived they brought my hubbie and I the appetizers and complete buffet meal so we did not have to get it ourselves. Champagne was pre-poured for everyone. My water glass was always filled. Servers were nice and attentive. Some of our guests even commented that the wedding food was the best that they had. My mom did not complain about the food, which for an Asian parent eating Western food is tremendous.

Our coordinator Janelle was excellent - always professional and encouraging. She always answered our questions quickly, demonstrated flexibility in planning, and worked within our budget. It was such a pleasure to work with her!

Just be sure to double and triple check your invoice (that is your own job), go through the event in your head to make sure you did not forget anything important, be very specific about what you want, and you will have a great chance to end up being as happy as I am.

I'm also very happy about our pricing. We paid ~7K for all food and rentals for 92, including a buffet, a filet mignon carving station, all tables/ settings /glassware, the cake (from Rossmoor's pastries - which I give 3/5 stars for taste and 4.5/5 for looks), and a ton of heat lamps that saved the day! If you are having a wedding that requires an outside caterer, you will probably find that Jay's is the best price for what you get. I've been to too many tastings that were god awful (i.e. unclean salad, greasy, salty, dry chicken, bland) and that made me sick.

Jay's tasting was great and their food on the wedding day was equal in quality to the food at the tasting. If I had more $ in my small-to-medium sized food budget I would have used their alcohol service because their mixed champagnes were soooo good. For me, the food is the most important part of any wedding reception because bad food will overshadow even the most gorgeous event... so I am very happy that I went with Jay's.

I couldn't be happier with my choice of caterer. They were so professional, responsive and flexible to fulfill all my requests. I am from Brazil and wanted to add a little latin flavor to the menu, so the chef created new recipes and worked with some I had to provide the best menu for my wedding. It has been four months and I still have people talking about how good the food was. People even mention specific names of dishes, such as the "Grand Marnier French Toast" (I had a brunch reception). How often do you have people remember the names of the dishes they ate at a wedding? Well, my guests do, all thanks to Jay's. Service was outstanding as well.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!! Jay's catering saved my wedding. I had a horrible experience with my venue, but Jay's catering was there to save the day. They took wonderful care of me and my guests. The food was amazing. I was told over and over again that the food was the best wedding food people have ever had. I did think that it was on the expensive side, but it was worth every penny!

Wow! What amazing thing can't I say about Jay's?! The food was delicious and the entire staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Nicolle was great to work with and went above and beyond for us - we really appreciated it. We were very picky that we wanted our guests to be able to sit down to a hot meal and although their packages are mostly buffet, it tasted like it was all made to order. You won't find a better company to work with and you definitley are getting the most for your money. We highly reccomend them! Our dinner consisted of the chicken mastrioanni, garlic mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, pomegranate salad, vegetable lasagna rotolo and our appetizers were the mushroom wellington, pesto stuffed cherry tomatoes and carmelized onion and gorgonzola bruschetta. Our package even included our wedding cake that was simply divine. To die for - everyone is still talking about how awesome the food was!!!

I had already used Jay's for a baby shower after they were recommended by a friend. They were amazing! Chris was wonderful to work with, and Mary was very helpful with locations. The company is so flexible and professional! The day of the servers were great at dealing with last minute set up changes. Jay's is by far the best catering value for the money I have ever seen. (This is after dealing with 10 or 12 caterers in the area with friend's weddings and acting as adviser for school dances.) Everything is fresh, made by the company and very tasty. I doubt I could fathom using another caterer for any other event in the future!

I absolutely loved them! I worked with Patti R. the entire time from beginning to end and she was the best! The servers were very sweet, funny, and made everyone very comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone! The food is unbelievable especially for the price (about $34 a plate).

Best Wedding Food ever!! Best Set up of food. Very good prices. It came out to $70 per person including bar, and gratuity.
I would recommend them for every occasion! I will use them for every event I need a caterer. They were really that good! THey have traditional food and more trendy options as well. An example is pomogranate champagne toast!

If you are looking for a caterer for your wedding this is the company to go with. I recommend going to one of their events where you can try various samples of their food. I guarantee you will be very impressed with what you try. Everyone at Jay's catering was very professional and a pleasure to work with, especially Janice. Jay's was one of two catering companies we could choose from based on our reception location's "preferred vendors". The food was excellent (what of it I actually got to eat). Since our wedding almost 3 years ago I have had countless people ask who did our catering because it didn't taste like "wedding food"-- which is so true! We got the chicken with apple-nut stuffing and bing cherry sauce, green bean almondine, some sort of rolled lasagna-esque pasta and rice pilaf, green salad & rolls. The appetizers were very good as well-- I believe we selected the goat cheese & pear on baguette (so-so), cherry tomatoes stuffed with pesto and mozzarella (good) and the chicken satay (a little spicy, but great). Patty Robledo from Jay's was very helpful and I would recommend them to anyone and use them again in a heartbeat. My only one slight disappointment was the cake-- we actually requested a plain white cake and had our florist decorate it with fresh flowers. The cake was stunningly gorgeous, but didn't taste so great. We chose Lemon cake with raspberry filling, but it was kind of dense and dry. I guess Jay's strong point is really the cooking, not the baking, but even considering that I would choose them again.

Lynn was very helpful when it comes to ordering a wedding cake. We had a great experience going cake tasting & the cakes at the wedding taste just like the ones at the tasting! fresh and moist! Best in business. The cake was reasonable priced and not overly expensive compare to other places I've looked in my area.

I had to take a point off because the delivery guy was giving me a headache 20 minutes before my ceremony. He was late because apparently he wasn't sure where he was going...but that's not entirely Jay's fault... just try to hire more responsible guys for the delivery then they will get 5 stars!
