Jason truly went above and beyond with our wedding. He was there with us through the whole process, including engagement photos. My husband and I had no clue how any of this worked, but Jason made sure to help us every step of the way and made us feel at ease. Neither of us are comfortable in front of the camera, but he made us feel completely comfortable throughout the night! He was so fun and always had a smile on his face. By the end of the wedding, all my bridesmaids were obsessed with him, and a few of them are planning on hiring him as well. You def can not go wrong hiring Jason- it will be the best decision you make for your wedding !! oh also, did I mention the pictures came out BEAUTIFUL??? thank you SOOOO much Jason :) -

All I can say is WOW! I found out about Jason when he did my sister’s wedding (and many of her husband’s family members' weddings as well). It was a no-brainer for us to have him do our wedding as well. Our wedding pictures came out absolutely amazing and it’s hard to believe all of our shots were done by just him! He was able to capture so many amazing pictures and moments throughout the entire day. Also, we asked him to drive to Albany, NY to do our engagement pictures in my husband’s hometown and he said yes without hesitation! On a personal note, we can’t thank him enough for his kindness, open communication, and passion for the work he does. It was truly a breeze working with him throughout our entire wedding process. We couldn’t recommend him enough! -

Jason Rhee can capture all the love and joy of getting married.
If the idea of spending thousands of dollars for wedding photos scares you, because you can't see the photos right away, no refunds, no exchanges, no returns, and no do-overs, you are not alone. Do the scary thing. Invest your money on a photographer for the wedding, but make sure you book Jason Rhee.
I had a visual aesthetic in mind, but I also wasnt sure how to describe it. As a hobby photographer who mostly takes pictures of her dogs, or snaps pretty scenery and yummy food on vacation, I didnt know how to find to find somebody to capture our special day with the same romantic, yet slightly silly POV.
I follow David Suh on IG, because he makes it look fun and easy to get photos you can proudly display, but we couldnt afford to fly him out for our wedding. We wanted somebody who gave similar energy. Instead, I spent hours on Google, Zola, Wedding Wire, the Knot, Reddit, Instagram, and reached out to Facebook groups like Subtle Asian Weddings and Ologies for inspiration.
After weeks of pouring through lists of local photographers, reading price packages, scouring albums/portfolios/pages trying to find examples to describe the aesthetic I was looking for, and looking for photographers who evoke the same emotion, I found Jason Rhee. We set up a meeting, he passed the vibe check with flying colors.
We had 6 months to plan our reception. We were on a budget. We needed somebody familiar with photographing not one, but three dogs at a wedding. We had an intimate (under 40ppl) wedding, with a LOT of camera-shy introverts (ourselves included!), and we wanted to get amazing pictures but have no experience posing in front of the camera. Where do we put our hands? What is our best angle? Is there enough light at the venue? Should I be serious, serene, or laughing? Don't worry, book Jason Rhee.
Jason made the process of working together very easy and it felt like a true collaboration. He helped us plan within our budget. He was as invested as we were in creating our timeline, ensuring we had time for the photos we wanted, and understanding our wedding photography priorities. He provided prompts!!! He had a contract ready and everything was clearly outlined. Our teaser album was done about two weeks after the reception (rest of the album should be done in another two weeks, which is amazing turnaround time)
I’ve always been self-conscious in front of a camera, but Jason was the best at boosting my confidence and posing us in a way that felt natural and look beautiful. We had many laughs along the way.
Sadly, one of pups passed shortly before the big day, so we had to make it through one of the saddest months, alongside the chaos of planning our big day. Jason navigated it all with grace and went the extra mile to make sure we got all the photos we were hoping for.
We got so many compliments (both during and after the wedding) from friends and family. -

When it comes to photographers, Jason is the best! I first worked with him when he photographed a friends wedding that I was a bridesmaid for so when my husband and I were looking for photographers, Jason was at the top of the list! Not only are Jason’s photos stunning, he is amazing to work with. He was so relaxed and made me feel so at ease! Jason kept us laughing through the outdoor photos on the coldest day in December! We had Jason for our wedding on 05/19/2024. From the first day we connected, it was clear that Jason is amazing at what he does. He was responsive, professional, and easy to talk to. He was reassuring during every phone call and took the time to come up with a schedule for the whole day, in which he was detailed in every aspect. Also, he seemed just as excited as we were for our day!
When it came to the big day, I am not a person that knows how to pose for pictures and Jason immediately put us at ease with his instructions and patience. I was a bundle of nerves the whole day, and out of all my vendors, he was the one who put me the most at ease. He constantly reminded me that it was our day and that nothing else mattered. He genuinely seemed to be having fun and was always trying to make us laugh! He is exceptionally hard-working, you can tell that he was putting everything into his craft and wanted to get every possible opportunity for shots. Even when the timeline was adjusted for some mishaps (such as losing a button on my dress!), he adapted quickly to accomplish other things on the timeline list. Many members of my wedding party commented on how animated and dedicated he seemed. I could not ask for a more flexible, organized, yet a joyous character of a photographer for our day! Jason took the time for additional photos during the reception and communicated well with the venue and DJ, so that the guests didn't even notice we were gone for a few minutes! Jason also generously extended his time so he could capture our sparkler exit.
Thank you Jason for capturing our day, from start to finish. Our pictures are beautiful (which was such a quick turn around!) and I was amazed at how he included so many emotional moments such as our dances and funny moments such as candids of our guests on our dance floor. It is a stunning collection that we will cherish and look back on for years to come! We would highly recommend him to anyone! -

Jason is the best of the best! I highly recommend him. He made us feel comfortable on our wedding day. He answered any questions we had before our wedding in a very timely manner. He was responsive, and enthusiastic. Jason worked hard to create a schedule that worked for the day. Anything that I threw at him, he effectively incorporated (including pics with a 6 week old baby and our dog!) he made all of my requests happen without even blinking an eye. On the day of, he kept everyone on schedule and it was because of him that we had a stress free wedding day! I feel very fortunate I was able to find Jason Rhee and have him as my Photographer on my wedding day. As many women/people planning a wedding know, it's not easy! Planning a wedding is truly a GREAT undertaking, and you pray/hope every vendor you hire will deliver, fall in your budget, and prove to be the right choice for your special day. Jason was all that for me! He arrived to my venue early, prepared, and had both a professional and witty personality the WHOLE time. He was great at providing direction and made the whole picture taking experience fun for all. Jason was incredible to work with, from the first call to the final photos. He is extremely responsive, caring, laid back and takes pride in his work.
He was extremely helpful talking through day of timelines prior to the wedding and executed them with ease. Throughout the wedding day, he was calm, funny and extremely easy to be around.

Jason was an absolute dream to work with! From our very first phone call, I could tell that he knew exactly what he was doing and would make our entire wedding day run so smoothly. He was very communicative leading up to the wedding, both via phone and email, and really eased some of the stress I had about our timeline. One of the best parts about working with Jason was how laid back he is, but at the same time, he came very prepared, organized, and ready to work. My husband and I both feel very awkward in front of the camera and I had asked Jason during our first conversation if he would be helping guide us for how to pose for certain shots. He definitely did that, and then some! Some photographers just point and click- Jason really makes sure that everything is perfect for each shot, from the lighting to the spacing between bodies, from the angles of your gaze to the way your dress falls, etc. He was wonderful with our two young flower girls (ages 4 and 1.5) to get them involved, and our entire bridal party and families felt taken care of the whole day. We just got our entire set of photos back (super quick turnaround) and I am STUNNED at how amazing they came out! As someone who usually hates photos of myself, Jason made me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day! Our families have raved about the photos, and can't wait to post on social media to show off to their own friends as well! Not only were the posed shots absolutely perfect, the photos of our ceremony and candids throughout the reception were top notch- a great mix between true candids of guests dancing and having fun as well as small group shots on the dance floor and our "photo blitz" pictures with each table. I could go on for ages, but just know that booking Jason will be one of the best decisions you make for your wedding day! THANK YOU JASON! -

I found Jason after a few Google searches of photographers in the area and right away, his style and testimonials were enough for me to talk with him on the phone and eventually book him for my wedding day. Jason is super nice to work with. He is very professional, responsive, and attentive. He gave us lots of good advises on posing and captures every precious moments during our big day. He also helped out to make sure things are running smoothly. We were not too sure about what to do with the marriage certificates since NJ has four copies. Jason helped us with the instructions too! Jason sent us the pictures in 10 days and it was so hard to decide which ones to pick as highlights since they are all so amazing! Jason was beyond amazing! He was so great from the start and always very responsive. His photos were great and we were so happy with his work! Super-Star Jason !!!
From start to finish Jason Rhee gives a master class in wedding photography. Our initial interview with Jason left us feeling relief that we had someone in our corner the day of. As we continued our meetings, he offered excellent advise, and was instrumental in detailing our itinerary for the big day. Having a photographer with this much experience is an absolute must! Being familiar with our venue, he scouted ideal locations for first-look phots near the venue. He was extremely prompt, yet flexible and reassuring.
He was always searching for great shots but never in the way or taking away from the experience. He ensured we stayed on time for our events. Above all, his photos are stunning and we could not be more thrilled! His work captured everything we missed on the wedding day. He took countless photos, we have access to all of them, AND we get a photo album and flash drive. We consistently hear from our friend’s and family how amazing the photos are, and how impressed they were with his support throughout the day. Jason is more than just a talented photographer, he is incredibly knowledgeable and kind- you know he is passionate about his work. -

If you love attention to details, then pick Jason!
If you are looking for an extremely detailed photographer that pays attention to all the little details, then Jason is the person to book. I have done my fair share of research for a photographer and videographer by looking into 14 different companies and Jason is the one that beat everyone else. We had Jason for our two hour engagement session and the wedding day. Jason was truly amazing! I had Jason for 10 hours of the day, and the assistant he chose to join him for the day was John. These two could not have been a more perfect pair for our day! I picked Jason from the beginning due to his attention to detail and he exceeded my expectations. He followed myself and the bridesmaids around for the day and he made sure everyone's hair was perfect, jewelry was straight, eyes were in the right place, and dresses were perfectly flowing and in place. John was with the groomsmen for the morning before we all came together and he did a great job as well having fun with the guys. I never had to worry about Jason or John missing a moment throughout the night, they paid attention to everything my husband and I did. They also watched for sunset time and we made it outside to take beautiful pictures on the pier. I can’t wait for the rest of my pictures, my photo album, and the day I get to work with the two of them again! -

Jason Rhee: Must-have Photographer!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jason Rhee three different times and each time he showed us how professional, knowledgeable, patient, and flexible he could be. We first met Jason after I had done extensive searches on photographers around the tri-state area, and his photography was my favorite! We were so happy to have been able to schedule our engagement photoshoot in Central Park. My husband and I are not very good “posers” and could be a little awkward being photographed, and Jason knew exactly how to take the reigns and help us achieve beautiful pictures. Fast forward to November 2020, Jason was extremely flexible and was able to reschedule when we had our wedding postponement due to covid. Jason was available for our rescheduled date but we still had our November 2020 ceremony at the church where Jason took breathtaking photos! We were so thrilled and excited and knew he would be wonderful during our December 2021 photoshoot as well. Our third time working with Jason was having him all day for our December 2021 wedding. From the teasers we were given, we are absolutely amazed at how phenomenal Jason is at his craft. The pictures are everything I dreamed of. Jason has a perfectionist’s eye and knows what it takes to create beautiful pictures. As a perfectionist myself, it was truly perfect to work with someone who has such an eye and attention to detail. My family and friends are highly impressed with both weddings Jason shot for because he truly set each scene and made everything he shot absolutely perfect. Beautiful photos!
Better late than never! My wedding was 06.26.21 and Jason was the best! I absolutely love the pictures from the park with the New York City View!. Words will not do justice to how overwhelmingly happy we are with our decision to use Jason Rhee Photography for our wedding! The pictures say it all. :-) My husband and I knew about Jason from friends’ weddings, one of which I was able to see his work in person by being a part of the bridal party he was photographing. I was absolutely amazed when I viewed the photos afterward! His attention to detail, charismatic personality, and professionalism surely stood out. Knowing he does phenomenal work, it was a no brainer to hire him. Looking from the outside in, I already knew Jason was great; however, working with him directly was a completely different story. Jason went ABOVE and BEYOND for our pandemic wedding. He was extremely helpful and responsive. Jason contacted us almost immediately after reaching out to him. He is friendly and knowledgeable. He has a great eye behind the camera. Our engagement pictures on the beach (during a time when things were not yet open) were beautiful and he did his best to make everything work out for us. For our actual wedding, we had to split our ceremony and our reception due to COVID. Jason was extremely flexible and made everything work, yet again. The day of our wedding ceremony, Jason did everything he could to make our day very special. He extended his time and effort way beyond than what was expected; it almost seemed like he was part of the bridal party with how excited he was for every shot. He exudes positive energy in a way I have not seen from another photographer. Furthermore, the turnaround time for our wedding photos was even quicker than imagined! I truly could go on-and-on. Covid Couldn't Stop Us
I had been a bridesmaid in a wedding Jason shot and I had loved the experience with him that when it came to my wedding he was one of the first photographers I reached out to. He's incredibly responsive and helps you plan out the timing of the wedding day. Due to Covid our big wedding got changed to a small backyard ceremony and Jason willingly came out to shoot the wedding despite the pandemic. We had a blast shooting with him in both our engagement and wedding shoots. At the wedding both sets of families loved working with him and they're all excited to have him back to take pictures when we re-do the big wedding next year. He's incredibly personable and so much fun to work with. I can't wait to see the amazing pictures he gets when we do it right next year. -

11/10/19 Wedding Review
Jason is an AMAZING photographer. He is super responsive, detail oriented, and thoughtful with his photography timeline. The day of he was a pleasure to be around and during key moments like the ceremony, first dance etc...he did not distract from the moment all while capturing incredible photographs that captured the feelings in those moments. He stated that he would get our teaser to us within 3-4 weeks and he delivered! He also listened to my requested photographs and made sure that I was satisfied. Capturing a large wedding by himself is no easy feat but he made it look effortless and through his photographs we're able to feel and experience our day all over again! -
