Melanie was an absolute dream to work with in planning our wedding this past August! She was incredibly responsive any time we had a question throughout our planning and worked with our day-of coordinator to ensure everything went smoothly. She even allowed us to come visit after work to show our family and friends the venue whenever we wished as long as we contacted her first, which was really nice!

We ended up booking the venue about 15 months in advance after touring the Snohomish Wedding venue tour, and we could not have been happier with our choice. We were looking for a garden venue that was flat, had restrooms, and included a tent, tables, and chairs in the rental fee. We also were interested in a venue that had a lot of greenery, free parking, and had a vendor list.

The venue itself is so gorgeously maintained, and along with the tent, tables, etc., they have beautiful furniture and props that complimented our Alice in Wonderland theme perfectly. The venue does require you to use their preferred vendor list, and we were very happy with our choices (Twelve Baskets catering & DJ Bugsie).

The week of our wedding had some wacky weather with wild fires and chances of rain, and Melanie coordinated sharing the cost of a secondary tent for our guests with another couple that weekend, which worked out very well.

Melanie was also available all day on our wedding day offering to help which was very nice!

I would recommend JDS to anyone looking for a beautiful garden venue with a very kind owner. Thank you Melanie for all of your help!

Jardin del Sol is the perfect garden wedding venue. Gorgeous landscaping and scenery, with a spacious patio and wedding tent catered to hosting romantic summer vows. We chose Jardin del Sol as our venue not only because of the idyllic backdrop, but also for the value and professionalism exuded by the owners. Melanie, the owner, shares her wealth of experience and insights in a very kind and caring manner, which really helped us relax and enjoy ourselves ourselves on the big day. Always quick to respond or set up a walk-through, it felt like she was just another family friend by the time we got to the day of the wedding!

The reception and ceremony areas are separate, but adjoined by a romantic pathway. We LOVED the ceremony area: a garden grove of trees and flowers with the perfect arch as a blank canvas for our florals. White wooden chairs (as well as tables and the main tent) are included, and Melanie helped us arrange for linen rentals and an additional tent rental (since we had a forecast of rain that did not happen luckily!). Melanie and her husband have put in a ton of work to make the property perfect for hosting a wedding: landscaping, finding additional white vintage pieces for check-in tables and dessert bars, and furnishing a gorgeous bar and fire pit. The bridal barn is perfect to get dressed in, as well as to spy on incoming guests before the ceremony. :)

Additional bonuses for the venue: ample parking and parking attendant included, field and rolling hill for lawn games and play area for kids, additional cabana area for groomsmen/hanging out, beautiful lighting for the dance floor, wine barrel cocktail tables, etc.! Some considerations that may not be for all: limited kitchen space for caterers ( no on-site burners/ovens, just refrigeration and prep areas), everything is outdoor (the tent is massive, so we weren't worried even if it had rained, but something to consider), and music off before 10 (Snohomish city rules).

A beautiful venue for having your wedding outside. The place is spacious with gorgeous backgrounds of flowers and trees, green allies and grass fields.
Being a professional videographer for many years and filming a lot of weddings during my professional career, I need to say that this was one of the nicest places to work at, very warm and inviting. Melanie, the owner of the venue, is very helpful and outgoing person, ready to hear you and make your wishes come true.

Such a beautiful venue and the owner really knows her stuff!

I was so sad to hear about the comment before mine. My husband and I were married there earlier this month (08/11) and it was absolutely wonderful. I called the Jardin Del Sol in March and spoke with Melanie (the owner) and she was wonderful. We live in Oregon so I had my parents (who live in Washington) go to look at the venue and even in March they could tell it would be beautiful. From March on the venue becomes more and more gorgeous. We sent in our deposit and continued from there. Melanie was very helpful with any questions I had (and I had ALOT of questions) and was always great about getting back to me. Day of the wedding the place was breath taking. The best part about the Jardin Del Sol is that it's already so pretty naturally that you really don't need to decorate at all. We had a wonderful experience and it was well worth the money spent. I really don't think our wedding would have been as wonderful if we'd been somewhere else.

Beautiful outdoor location. There was a little sitting room by the restrooms that was the "groom's area". There upstaris of the converted barn like building was redone for the brides room. Very cute place and I'm so glad I picked it for our location. Beautiful green space for the ceremony and paved/tented area for the reception.

I will tell you what happened when we were planning our wedding with this company. My wife emailed the hostess with what day we were hoping to wed. We went to the place to see how it looked and it seemed pretty nice. We talked to the hostess about our specific day and looked over pictures of previous weddings and their policies and the reservation payment for our specific day. According to the policy, the payment is to reserve the day that on which you want to be wed. We told her the specific day and she said “Yeah, that day is when our rentals start.” We said Cool! We took that as an ok, good on that day. We got home and the next day we made our final decision and sent a check for $500 non-refundable to reserve a specific date. My wife was smart enough to put the date of the wedding on the check. Later, we got an email from the Jardin del Sol representative stating that she didn’t know that we wanted to have it on that specific date because that day had already been booked. The problem was my wife had already created and printed out the wedding invites -- and you know how much wedding invites can be. We told Jardin del Sol that if we were going to have to change the day, she would have to reimburse us for the invites. She gave a whole bunch of excuses and we finally came up with a deal. She said she was going to give us $100 dollars off and the same rate of the day of our original choice. She emailed us with the different rate not agreed upon and the $100 off. We ended up canceling the check and a better and cheaper venue. :) If you want this Jardin del Sol, I’d advise confirming 3-4 times on your day and have confirmations signed on what day and what price of the package you get. this is not the venue for you if you need and desire to have a wedding of your dreams, nothing worked well except for the weather on the day of our wedding. the owner was very uptight about the music choice, the events happening and how the wedding ceremony is planned including having a baby sitter for young ones. If you're going to have good music or anything regarding hip hop, you should not go here. she is not flexible and was not willing to work with us for a numerous amount of things. there were times when we'd visit her and she would not speak so well of certain situations and say certain things that were quite offensive. we don't normally leave reviews but felt the need to leave this one.
