I'm writing as the mother of the bride. I am organized, pay attention to detail and felt confident helping my daughter with her wedding. But, I wanted to be 'just mom' on the day of the wedding and needed someone I could trust!!! Making contact with Janice Blackmon was the best thing that happened! Both my daughter and I knew we could relax and that everything would be great--and it was thanks to her. She handled last minute requirements from wireless mics to extending the time we needed for make-up and hair. Absolutely everything was taken care of --- I didn't worry about anything! My husband and I met overseas in the Middle East and I am from Georgia and he is from Brazil, so we decided to have our dream wedding in Georgia, which is a good meeting point for my family and his. We were REALLY worried about how we were going to plan this huge elaborate wedding while not even in the country and I happened to find Janice online and it was like she was placed in our hands from Heaven... She is so loving and kind, but also has a firm hand and makes sure that her couples come first before anyone else. I voiced my concerns about some of my family members and she reassured me that NOTHING was going to get in my way at my "flawless wedding" that she promises everyone. Throughout the whole process she was there for me. My husband and I bought the absolute highest package with unlimited time spent with her because dealing with vendors and going back and forth was difficult here. I never had to worry about anything. If something came up she was ON it. She made sure that I didn't worry or stress over anything and was really good about letting everyone know where they should be and what their roles were and how to do them. One day when I came home for some wedding planning, I was standing in Hobby Lobby wondering if I should purchase something and I literally called her up and she stopped what she was doing to help me. She was there with me for the food tasting and when I met the people at Chateau Elan and "held my hand" every step of the way. My wedding was one that I, and everyone else, will remember and I honestly can thank Janice for that. She is so wonderful and I believe we will stay in touch for years to come. Thank you so much Janice for making my wedding a dream come true and making it FlAwLeSs!

If I could give Janice and her team ten stars, I would. Our experience with JBE was simply amazing. I knew I wanted Janice to be our planner when she sent everything we would need to decide whether to hire her, complete with a list of client and vendor references, within an hour or two of our consultation. Her experience in the wedding industry and attention to detail are unrivaled. She is professional, but she's also personable. Whenever I spoke with her, I felt as if I were talking to an old friend. She was great at managing our expectations with respect to the feasibility of our ideas and readily provided alternative suggestions. She was also really good about working within our budget when recommending vendors to us. As an added bonus, because of her extensive experience, she has relationships with numerous vendors, and I felt like we got the red carpet treatment with several other vendors because she was our planner.
Our wedding day ran extremely smoothly. Many guests have commented on how effortless and stress-free our wedding day was. I was talking to a friend in the days after the wedding about how happy I was with Janice's services and told her I was going to offer to be a client reference. My friend joked, "Tell her to put me down, too!" Janice and her team made sure that every vendor knew where to be and when to be there. She even made itineraries for our families and the wedding party that she passed out the night before at the rehearsal. I appreciate that we were able to spend time celebrating with our guests and didn't have to worry about anything. The memories we have from that day are priceless. We had an amazing wedding and a wonderful experience thanks to Janice. I highly recommend her services with no hesitation.

My husband and I were recently married in Saraosta Fl, and are so happy we chose Janice to plan our wedding! She is very detail oriented and didn't miss a beat when it came to planning our wedding. She took care of EVERYTHING! The D.J., the venue, the caterer, the invitations, and much much more. She made our wedding day stress free. We even had a mishap with our wedding cake and Janice dressed it up so beautifully to match our wedding! She was there to andwer all of my questions and concerns. I thought I knew everything there was to know on planning a wedding, but boy I was wrong! Janice has an incredible team and made our day perfect. We will never forget it! Thank You Janice!!

if your looking for the perfect wedding planner you have found her! Janice Blackmon is absolutely amazing at what she does and she loves what she does. She help my husband and I plan out wedding in 8 months and we were in a different state and it was my absolute dream wedding I could have have asked for more!! She pays so much attention to small detail that I would never have thought of I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Janice and her team were amazing! Throught the planning process, Janice was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. On the day of my wedding, I was able to relax and really enjoy myself, because I knew my wedding was in the most capable hands. It was absolute perfection!

Hired Janice at the last minute after having already hired most of my vendors. However, she was a godsend! I did not have any bridesmaids to assist with things and really did not want to burden my family/friends with that, rather than enjoying our wedding. Without Janice running the show the weekend of my wedding, I would not have been able to enjoy it and not worry about anything. She was always professional and responsive but yet flexible to ideas and my preferences. She found a baker at the last minute willing to do fondant figurines of our dogs on a surprise groom's cake, and my husband still brags about that being the best part of the wedding.

Janice provided day-of coordination of my wedding, though her assistance extended far beyond just the day of.
While we had some personality conflicts and misunderstandings the last few weeks leading up to the wedding, I still wouldn't have trusted my wedding to anyone else. The minute I met Janice I felt like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I knew my wedding was going to be perfect and it was. Me, my husband, our family and friends had the best time that day. She and her staff were on top of everything.
A tornado actually came through the night before the wedding and did some damage to the venue. My husband and I had no idea until the day after the wedding. Janice kept in contact with one of my bridesmaids the entire day as to what was going on.
A professional wedding coordinator is not a luxury; it is a necessity. If you're going to spend that much money on what is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life, you want to know you and your family and friends will be able to enjoy that day. Janice and her staff will ensure that happens.
I could go on and on about the work she puts into her weddings. They are events. She provides checklists beginning months before the wedding that are invaluable, meets with vendors, etc. And there are so many additional optional service she provides.
There are very few true professional event and wedding coordinators out there, Janice is one them.

My fiance and I both work full time and thought that by hiring Janice we would be alleviated much of the stress of wedding planning/coordinating. However, Janice only made our stress levels higher.
Janice was very friendly and acted very excited for us to become her clients and to listen to our vision for how we wanted our wedding to be. Her excitement lasted as long as the initial consultation where we signed a $5,000 contract to hire her and paid the first $2,500 installment upfront.
After that she was very difficult to contact because she was always busy with other weddings which she was planning. We presented her with our budget we wanted and she gave us a bunch of spreadsheets with line items for various wedding expenses such as food, rings, tuxedo rentals, floral decorations, dress, ect... I COULD HAVE FOUND THIS ONLINE! She did not work with us to show us what a reasonable amount we could expect to pay for these various expenses. With less than 6 months from our wedding date we still had not come to agreement on our venue and I terminated my contract with Janice Blackmon and the $2,500 I paid down was pretty much flushed. My wife and I planned our wedding on our own with the help of an event coordinator which was part of the deal we signed once we found our venue.
