Janene's Bridal To The Rescue

I originally visited Janene's Alameda location to try on dresses, and while I found some real stunners, I couldn't bring myself to pay the price. I ended up going with an off the rack dress from another store who promised the alterations needed were doable. Turns out they weren't and the dress was a disaster....and my wedding was three weeks away! After leaving my fitting in tears, I ran to Janene's off the rack location in SF. I walked in asking for a specific style and they had it and the price was perfect! Since it was off the rack, it of course needed some alterations, but the SF team worked with the Alameda team and I drove there THAT DAY for my first fitting. In less than three weeks, over the course of a couple fittings, they worked a miracle! It honestly brings me to tears just thinking about how they turned an awful situation with another store into my dream wedding dressing in such a short period of time. I am forever grateful to the entire team at Janene's for ALL they did to save my wedding! I cannot recommend them enough!

Janene's was the absolute BEST. They were incredible every step of the way. Tiffany was so helpful, a lovely stylist who led me to my dress. Shae did such a good job with my alterations and everything went as planned. Bianca made me feel so special and helped me find the perfect veil for my dress. The assortment is to die for, the alterations were flawless, and each appointment was a great experience where I felt so supported. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I were to do it again. Dream dress!

I had such an amazing experience at Janene’s shopping for my wedding dress and getting it altered! I was able to try on a variety of styles I was interested in within my budget, and the whole ambience of the store is romantic and fun and whimsical.

I went shopping with my mom and my sister which felt like the perfect number given the space for our dressing room. All three of us explored the dresses on display to tag which ones we wanted to try, and the Janene’s staff also helped pull a couple options once they got a sense for my style. They were extremely patient while I tried on dresses more than once and did not pressure us when we left without purchasing that day. My mom and I returned a couple days later to revisit a favorite dress and Maesa assisted us, who was AMAZING! He ended up pulling one last dress for me that he thought I would like and it ended up being the winner.

We also used Janene’s alteration group for some pretty straightforward alterations, and everyone on that side of the business was so sweet and helpful and easy to work with. They did an incredible job with the dress and made some great recommendations on shoes, jewelry, veil, and hair accessories as well.

From scheduling to staff interactions to the final product, Janene’s was so easy to work with and gave me exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend!

All Around Amazing Experience

Janene's Bridal such a fantastic experience. It took two appointments for me to find my right dress, but that is all on me, and the stylist never pushed me in one direction or another. The dress I loved was a little over my budget, but they worked with me to come up with a payment plan and it all sorted itself out. I also got my dress altered through their alterations department and I was extremely impressed with every single person's professionalism and eye for details. Having never been fitted for a dress before, they were straightforward with me and answered any questions I had. As we got close to my wedding date I realized the neckline wasn't looking the way I hoped, and they quickly fixed it before my next fitting. They also altered my mother's veil, so that it would go with my dress, and it looked perfect as well. I didn't shop around for pricing at other alterations locations, but I would say that I never thought I was being over charged and I never thought my dress was in the wrong hands. I never worried that the dress wouldn't be ready for my wedding either. I would definitely recommend Janene's to anyone shopping for a wedding dress

Highly recommended!

I bought and had my dress altered at Janene's and had such a wonderful experience throughout the entire process!

Carla was my stylist and she so sweet and patient with my group and me. She gave us a tour of the entire store, pointing out different designers and price ranges, gave us a bag of clips to mark any dresses we were interested in, and let us loose! I told her what I was looking for, so she added some selections of her own as well. Despite trying on a bunch of dresses (including a couple of over the top gowns just for fun), I ultimately wound up going with the dress she picked out for me, which turned out to be well under my budget. She really knows her stuff! We had such a fun time singing along to the music playing in the store and she even let a few members of my group try on some veils for a fun impromptu photoshoot. Since Janene's was my first wedding dress shopping stop, I was hesitant to commit to a dress without checking out other stores first. Carla was so understanding and didn't pressure me at all to make a decision on the spot. She told me that they would keep my dress information and measurements on file in case I decide later on to go through with the purchase. I shouldn't have had my doubts--I called back to order the dress immediately after a mediocre experience at another bridal boutique!

Months later when my dress arrived, I worked with Brooke in alterations. She really took her time asking me if there were any changes I wanted to make to my dress to make it perfect and patiently explained all of my options and pricing. Then, Janene herself came by to pin my dress and make alteration recommendations. I came back for a few more appointments, targeting different areas of the dress each time. There was so much attention to detail and I could tell that the whole alterations team really worked hard to make every aspect of my dress perfect. I was also given suggestions on how to look best while wearing my dress and how to move in it. They also taught my bridesmaids how to get me into my dress and how to do the bustle. On the day before my wedding, they had me try on the dress one last time (it fit like a glove!) then had it fluffed and bagged, ready to go for the big day.

I can't recommend Janene's enough. Every staff member I encountered was so sweet and I truly felt that they really cared about making everything perfect for me. They even gave me a discount for being a nurse! Thank you so much!

Amazing! They made it all happen!

Incredibly kind and accommodating. I Found the perfect gown and they were able to get it Rush ordered from the designer and altered in time for elopement. Total time from consultation to elopement: 12 days!!! Oh, and all in the middle of the pandemic. The boutique is gorgeous and super clean. Proper Covid protocols are in place. I felt safe and comfortable there. I didn’t want to leave! Cara was my bridal consultant and I highly recommend her! She was so sweet. I showed her one inspo pic and she immediately nailed down the perfect dress (and under budget). Major kudos to the alterations team. They are incredible.

Amazing customer service and the best inventory!

Janene's was the first out of three appointments I made for me and my crew of 8 to go wedding dress shopping. They were able to accommodate my large party, which was really rare for a bridal boutique. They have amazing designers and their dresses are all pretty affordable. Cynthia was my stylist and she was so patient and helpful. I tried on about 7-8 dresses and she never made me feel rushed. I ended up trying on a dress I loved and said "yes to the dress". I never made it to my other 2 appointments.

Fast forward two days and I freaked out a bit because I was looking at photos and could see a little bit of my belly sticking out. I wasn't sure if spanx would help or if I would even be able to wear them under the lowcut dress. I also felt like I hadn't tried on enough other styles to know for sure this was the one and only dress. I called Janene's and explained my situation. The manager, Cynthia, called me back and said their goal is to make brides happy and she would be happy to hold ordering my dress so I could come back to try on other dresses. She said she'd let me use the credit towards another dress if I changed my mind. I was ecstatic! I hadn't slept well the previous two nights thinking about if I made the right choice and I was so happy they were letting me come back in.

This time I came back on a Friday afternoon with only 2 people instead of 8. I emailed them the night before my appointment letting them know about 25 styles of dresses that I liked from their various designers. I knew they didn't carry every single dress so I asked if they could pull what they had from my list. They emailed me back and let me know exactly what they had in stock and what they would pull off the rack to have ready for me to try on. I liked doing it this way instead of clipping the dresses on the racks because I could see how they fit on the body (deep V, tight on stomach, flowy, A-line, etc). Cynthia also helped explain what style a dress was once I pointed it out so I'd know if it was the type of style I liked (I wanted A-line, not too tight on the stomach). I tried on about 8 more styles and although I liked them all, I ended up falling even more in love with the original dress I picked. I said "yes to the dress" a second time and could not be happier that my mind isn't going to have doubts the next 7 months until my wedding.

A few words of advice before you go dress shopping:
-Try to make a weekday appointment if you can. The first time I went on a Saturday and their boutique was pretty packed so it was hard to look at all the dresses. The second time I went on Friday afternoon, there was nobody else in the store so I got to walk around and take my time.
-I'd recommend trying on dresses at another boutique beforehand so you know exactly what style you like for your body. I made the mistake of coming to this boutique first so I didn't have a clue what style I liked. A lot of the first couple of dresses I tried on, I decided weren't my style and didn't fit well. I would have been able to try on a lot more fitting dresses had I done my homework before.
-Before you buy your dress, look at photos and videos of yourself on someones phone. The dresses look different on camera.
-Get Cynthia as your stylist. She is super nice and very knowledgable. She was so patient with me through both of my appointments and all of my emails. I could not imagine a better stylist to help me find my perfect dress.

Excellent all around

Walking into a bridal store can be extremely overwhelming but that was not the case for Janene’s Bridal. The team there is incredibly professional and accommodating so the scouting of dresses was actually quite easy. I had a strict budget and they made it work, and after trying on the fourth dress, “I said “yes” to the dress.” Every single detail is so thought out on their part and their scheduling and communication definitely goes unmatched. My dress was perfectly tailored and my veil suited my dress so well! They took the time to not only instruct me on how to tie the bustle but they even videoed it for me so that I had it available on my wedding day. Also, they had me walk in my dress while coaching me on how to carry my bouquet and then how to properly sit in my dress. I will never have enough words to express my gratitude for Janene’s Bridal and I know that you’ll be just as satisfied. Please take a trip to Alameda and enjoy Janene’s Bridal as you won’t be disappointed!

Great experience

I had an appointment with Janene's Bridal Boutique this past Saturday and had a great experience. My bridal consultant was Jenna and she was super sweet and helpful. They have a huge selection of dresses and it can seem overwhelming but they had so many beautiful dresses. efficient + fun!

LOVEDDD working with Carla to find my dress (AMAZE). my family and i all chose dresses, then Carla snuck one in there and randomly hers is the one I fell in love with. Alterations were fabulous too, she is extremely efficient and gives great tips that are practical for your actual wedding day. Highly recommend Janene's. Everyone there is so great.

Great little shop with amazing customer service

I had such a positive, helpful experience at Janene's. I got engaged in February but had been putting off dress shopping because it was something I was really anxious about. I am plus size and I was worried about finding a dress that would fit me in all the right places, and fall within my under $2000 budget. I booked my first appointment at Janene's after reading reviews, and I gathered a few friends and my mother to join me for the process.

When we got to the store, we were greeted by Cynthia who would also be my specialist for the appointment. She was so bubbly and welcoming and she could definitely tell that I was very anxious and not really looking forward to all this. She gave a tour of the dress layout and was very informative when explaining all the styles and price ranges, and let my friends and I mark the ones I wanted to try on. I told her right away that I was not interested in strapless and that it wouldn't work on my body, but she pulled one anyway and said I could always add straps. She showed me the plus size section but said I could try whatever I wanted and she would just clip the back to make it look right.

Cynthia was so helpful in the dressing room and asked me fun questions about my fiancé and our wedding and I started to relax a bit. The strapless boho gown she pulled was the second dress I tried on and as I was pulling it up I actually said "I love this." I was so surprised (and still am) that something completely different from what I expected would work for me looked so beautiful once it was on, and showed off my body in all the right ways. I ended up trying on all the rest of the dresses we pulled but with the encouragement of my friends and mother I decided that the strapless boho was definitely the winner.

I went to another store after just to see what else was out there and had a really disappointing experience. I called Janene's after to place the order for the dress and I am so excited!

The store has such a wide selection of styles and prices for such a small space, and it's laid out in such an organized way. Cynthia completely made the experience so much more fun and relaxing for me and I can't thank her enough. I would definitely recommend Janene's to anyone looking for a personalized, informative experience!

Lace and tulle

I bought my dress at Janene’s bridal. It was the 6th shop I had visited, and had the most selection of all the shops I’d been to. I got to walk around and pick out which ones I wanted to try on, and my stylist selected a few for me as well. She helped me in and out of the dresses and clipped them. She also helped me narrow them down and see what they would look like with different accessories. I ended up choosing a beautiful lace v-neck dress with keyholes in the back and a-line tulle- and it was BELOW my price range! After getting home, I decided that I wanted to change the size of the dress, and emailed Janene’s, and they were able to switch the size for me right away. I then waited very patiently for what felt like the longest 5 months of my life for the dress to be made and shipped. As soon as it arrived- I went back in to try it on and it fit perfectly at the waist! I just needed the length to be taken in and a bustle. I ended up doing my alterations at another salon, since Janene’s is quite the commute from where I live. I’m so happy with how my dress turned out, and I think my groom was too :)

Absolute pros!

I had an amazing experience with Janene's Bridal, from shopping to alterations. It's a lovely shop with a huge selection and a very kind and helpful staff. Everyone who works there really knows their stuff, especially the alterations department.

This place does everything: I bought a hair comb and necklace from them when their jewelry specialist was there. Jennifer taught me how to do a first dance spin without tearing my sleeves. They gave me an emergency kit with extra lace in case of rips. They even took a video of how to do the bustle! I couldn't believe the attention to detail they provide.

I was not prepared for how much alterations cost in general, but having this team of folks helping me was worth every penny. They were the VIPs of our team of vendors. Highly recommend!

Wedding dress professionals!

I visited a lot of bridal shops before finding my dress, and I now know why Janene's has such a great reputation. They have SO many dresses and styles to choose from and feature the best brands. They also have excellent customer service (shout out to Jennifer who was amazing!!) and are experts in tailoring dresses.

I found my dress - Essense of Australia D2109 - 10 months before my March 2019 wedding. I believe I was told they recommend ordering the dress 8 months in advance, which gives the designer time to custom make and ship the dress.

When I was measured for the dress, I was a bit nervous because the size they said they'd need to order for me was an 8 (because of the size of my hips), when I'm a street size 2! Apparently, this is very normal and I trusted them as the experts. When my dress arrived (about 6 months after we ordered it), my nerves were put to rest. Although the dress was too large and needed to be altered down, it wasn't comically huge or anything like that.

I had 5 fittings, in part because there were many things I wanted done to the dress beyond basic alterations, which included mermaiding (to shape the dress around my butt a bit more) and I added removable drape sleeves (Janene's helped me order matching extra lace from the designer). I was SO happy I added the drape sleeves - it elevated my strapless gown into a very elegant, off the shoulder dress. The drape sleeves were even removable so that I could take them off for my first dance (because you can't raise your arms with them on!).

The alterations and the dress turned out to be around the same price (they did warn me ahead of time of this). But, I have to say, it was totally, completely worth it. I felt gorgeous in my gown, and I never thought I'd say that! I am not someone who dreamed of her wedding day growing up, and I initially even felt a bit reluctant wearing a very traditional wedding dress, but that all changed when I fell in love with my dress and I am SO glad I wore a proper wedding dress at my wedding :).

All of the gals who work there also provided me with so many wedding day and dress-related tips. They were a wealth of knowledge. Janene's also sells bridal shoes, veils, and jewelry. Their jewelry designer was on site during one of my fittings and picked out the most beautiful and delicate drop earrings and matching bracelet at very reasonable prices. I was also able to order my floor-length veil from Janene's, which just made everything easier - they pressed the veil and I picked it up along with my dress a couple days before the big day.

Overall, I cannot recommend this shop highly enough. They are total pros. I really was dreading the dress shopping, fitting, etc. experience, and Janene's made it actually enjoyable and fun.

February 24, 2019 Wedding

First boutique I scheduled my first wedding dress shopping experience. It was recommended by my sister-in-law who lived down the street. I invited my sister, my mom, my sisters-in-law, and mother-in-law to my appointment. I loved that in the beginning of my appointment, everyone browsed through the boutique and chose dresses for me to try on. I believe I tried on over 15 dresses and luckily enough, I found THE dress! I felt that this experience was nice to share with my family. Every fitting was great as well.

Great Boutique with Lots of Options

I worked with Sutton to find my wedding dress. I honestly was just going in to have an experience with my sister and mother and ended up with great dresses to choose from and actually purchased one. Sutton was very helpful in showing me around the store and then just letting my family and me look around to pick dresses to try. She allowed me privacy to change, which I really appreciated. I ended up going over my appointment time by about 30 minutes, but she didn't rush me to make a decision at all.

Start to finish, Janene's were true professionals. Not only did I find my dress, but I also used their in house alternations and jewelry maker. I LOVE that I was able to customize my earrings and bracelet to be exactly what I wanted. The icing on the cake, though, goes out to their alterations manager, Jen. Give that girl a raise! She was so knowledgeable, and was more than willing to accommodate whatever request I had, no matter how big, how small, or how many times I changed my mind. Also, shout out to their entire alterations department, you are miracle workers! I would proudly, and confidently recommend Janene's to anyone looking for a professional experience, start to end.

I could not have asked for a better dress shopping experience than we got at Janene’s Bridal. Everything was perfect. Our stylist Carla, could not have been more helpful. She was patient with our large group (7 people), and gave the best suggestions/guidance/help. It was the first bridal store I've been too, but my maid of honor is in three other weddings and said this was by far the best salon she's been too. She said it has so much more selection and variety than other places she's been too. We had a great experience at Janene's and I cannot wait for my dress to come in!

I was married last Saturday in my wedding dress from Janene's. The dress was a Maggie Sotero stunner and I loved it. It was unique and beautiful and perfectly tailored.

Janine's was the second place I visited and I was a little disheartened by the first. The staff at Janene's is professional, friendly, warm, and welcoming. Janene's definitely celebrates women and their staff make all women feel gorgeous and special.

The fittings gave me confidence and let me "get to know" my dress. I worked with Suton (sp?) and even with Janene herself on occasion. They were fabulous and I loved sharing stories with both of them. They also listened to my questions regarding alterations and gave me suggestions without pressuring me.

Huge thanks to Janene's for helping me make memories that will last a lifetime. Love you ladies!

This review is way overdue, but I could't let it go without writing one. I came to Janene's Bridal in December of 2016 for my third and final appointment with my mom, two aunts, and my little cousin with me. The woman who was assigned to our group was so good - I believe her name was Tammy. She let us look around and pick out some dresses that I would like to try on, and she even pulled some herself. While in the dressing room she would give me pep talks and kept telling me that my opinion is really the only one that matters and to not get overwhelmed. She made me feel like everything was going to be okay. I tried on a few dresses and none of them were it and everyone agreed. Then Tammy went back and pulled another dress that looked nothing like what I had ever envisioned and convinced me to try it on. I walked out and stood on the podium, looking in the mirror and tears came to my eyes. I had never felt more beautiful or bridal.

I later tried on the dress again and could feel the tears welling up in my eyes - this was my dress. I didn't want to take it off. I probably stood there for a good ten minutes just looking at it and feeling so pretty. So we bought it that day (on no tax day - lucky us!)

All of the dress fittings that followed were so nice, the ladies that helped me were wonderful - throughout the months of getting the dress fitted, teaching me how to walk in it, teaching my cousins how to bustle the back for the reception - it was all such a pleasant and exciting experience. I cannot recommend Janene's Bridal Boutique enough. If you're in the area and looking for your dress for your big day, I suggest making an appointment and checking it out for yourself. I have only good things to say about Janene's! First of all, I love that they are responsive via phone and email. It makes planning and organizing so much easier. I went dress shopping with my best friend about 11 months before the wedding. I knew I wanted long, ivory, and lace with a low back. I tried on a number of dresses at a range of stores - all the way from David's Bridal to fancy boutiques. I really lucked out, because I fell in love with a Stella York dress with crocheted lace that was on the less expensive end of my budget. This worked well, since Janene's was able to customize the dress so that it was exactly what I wanted. The alterations weren't cheap, but they were worth it. They made several changes, including changing the shape of the low back, adding lace to the spaghetti straps, adding buttons down the back, and adding a bustle. Jennifer worked closely with me throughout several appointments, and each time I went in it felt like I was visiting with a friend. She helped me take pictures, made suggestions when I asked, and really guided me through the process. I loved all of the alterations! I was flying across the country to get married in Upstate NY, so Janene's also helped me package the dress and gave me care instructions so that it made it without issue.

Janene's is amazing! I came to the shop several years ago with a friend when she was looking for her dress - it was such a great experience, I knew I'd come back when it was time for my wedding. My initial appointment to find "the" dress was so much fun - the consultant who helped me was sweet, helpful, and really listened to what I liked as far as styles. She found my dress after really taking to heart the feedback I'd given her about other dresses, and I knew immediately that we'd found the one.

All of my fitting appointments were lovely, too - Jen was very knowledgeable about the whole process and made it so much fun. I always knew what was happening with my dress and what to expect for the remaining alterations process.

I absolutely loved how my dress fit and looked on my wedding day - and I received SO many compliments on it. I couldn't have been happier with my experience, and would enthusiastically recommend any bride-to-be to go to Janene's. You won't be disappointed!

Best Customer Service! After having a fiasco and ordering a dress from another store and having it be nothing like what I tried on.. I had to start over at square one. I had been to 15 salons before I found a designer, Hayley Paige, that I was interested in and sought out Janene's as they carried this designer. They were very accommodating with appointments and helped me rush the dress of my dreams!! They worked with me to do the alterations the week of! Everything was beautiful and I ended up buying a belt and veil with them as well! Could not be happier with this vendor!

Ladies, if you are looking for your perfect bridal gown, please do yourself a favor and head to Janene's!! I live in Los Angeles, and my wedding is in my hometown of Sacramento. Why go to a bridal salon all the way in Alameda? First, they have an absolutely amazing selection of bridal gowns. Second, unlike salons where you have your consultant bring you dresses to try, they actually let you walk through the store and pick out your own dresses (which I happened to prefer). Third, all their consultants are super fun and make the experience amazing. Fourth, Janene herself does your alterations in house. Lastly, the prices are super affordable and reasonable!! I spent far less than I thought I would!

I would suggest going to a fancy bridal salon first and getting the experience of having a consultant bring you dresses (figure out the style and silhouettes that look best on you). Then come to Janene's and have some real fun!

The also have an absolutely amazing jewelry designer, Inna, who makes beautiful custom jewelry (and at a super duper reasonable price - seriously my jaw dropped when she told me how much the earrings and bracelet she was going to make for me would cost). If she is in the store when you are, ask to meet with her. You won't be disappointed.

Totally worth the flights and long drives to get my dress from Janene's! I wouldn't have done it any other way!

After visiting Janene's on my first day of dress shopping, I knew immediately that it was the exact boutique I wanted to get my dress from! Not only were they so responsive in booking my appointments, but they were so accommodating, and such a pleasure to work with from the start. The customer service there was excellent, and to top it off, Heather was so much fun to work with from the beginning to the end!

I was one of those indecisive, but picky, brides who had no idea what she wanted. Heather was very patient with me and my group, and she ended up helping me find *the* dress, even when I started to question whether *the* dress actually existed! I had my alterations completed here as well, and it was done so perfectly that it just made me fall in love with my dress even more!

Getting my dress from Janene's was definitely one of my best and favorite wedding decisions, and I couldn't be happier :)

I actually went twice to look at dresses there and love that they allow you to pick out your own dresses to try on and allow you to take pictures. A friend of mine in the bridal industry recommended Janene for alterations, so I took an inexpensive dress to her to see if it could be transformed. She told me it was certainly possible, but could tell it wasn't the dress I had my heart set on. Lucky for me, Janene's was able to order "my" Hayley Paige dress and give me a better price than the department store where I originally saw it!
A few months, very minor alterations, and a French bustle later, I couldn't have been happier with my choice for our big day. Wish I could wear the dress all over again!

The ladies at Janene's Bridal are truly a class act. They have a wonderful selection that caters to many different price points, and the bridal consultants are attentive, helpful, and not at all pushy. They are also all super responsive over email, which was really helpful for me. The dress I ended up with I would have never picked out on my own, but my consultant picked it and I fell in love. They were wonderful for every step during the alterations process, and have later hours so that I could go after work, which was also awesome. My dress turned out beautifully and I could not have asked for anything more (and it came in at my budget!).

Great value and service! After years of watching "Say Yes to the Dress," I knew enough not to go dress shopping with a huge crowd (I only brought my mom). I tried to be as specific as possible when telling them what I liked and didn't, and that helped me tremendously. Don't be fooled by the poofy and fit-and-flare dresses they show in the front...they have a huge variety of silhouettes! I went with a sheath Maggie Sottero and it was beautiful!

The alterations are also great. They are so detailed and go the extra mile to make sure your dress looks perfect.

Dress shopping for me was not like it is on the television reality shows. To be quite honest, it was actually quite tedious and torturous. I had just about given up until I found Janene’s Bridal Boutique. Everything about this place was amazing. This first big difference is that they let you look through the racks and pick out what you want to try on. All the other places would just have the consultant go in the back and try to find dresses close to what you were describing. Janene’s actually lets you explore and shop! I had a limited budget, which I told my consultant about. Unlike other places that were constantly trying to make me spend more than I could afford, Janene’s consultant tried to keep me in my budget. Once we pulled a bunch of dresses I wanted to try on, she looked through them and took out the ones she couldn’t get down to my price point. Other places would let you try them on, hoping you would fall in love and then let you know that they were $1,000 over what you wanted to spend after the fact. They were also able to give me an alterations “top out cost,” meaning that whatever they had to do, it would only cost $400 for all the alterations needed. This came in very handy since when I tried on the dresses I was a size 16, and by the time of my wedding I had gotten down to a size 12. The alteration people were amazing. They give you a document explaining how the alteration process works, and to not freak out when you come in to your fitting and there is lace hanging off the dress. It also explained the timeline and what would get done and when. It was very helpful as I had never gone through this process before and didn’t know what to expect. They are great!!! You should definitely check them out!! One more thing… don’t forget to check out their jewelry! It is both hand-made and amazing!

The team at Janene's Bridal was wonderful to work with. My dress came in well under-budget since they had a wide selection of dresses for all budgets and styles. The adjustments were professionally done (including changing the neckline from straight to sweetheart on a dress that had a lot of embroidery and beading) and I felt beautiful on my wedding day. I would highly recommend their services. I live in San Francisco, but was happy to make the trek out to Alameda to work with their delightful team.

I went into Janene's with a few specific dresses I wanted to see and discovered they just weren't for me. They took their time to get to know what I liked and what I didn't and in the end pulled the dress of my dreams! I never felt pressured to buy and the private setting was nice as it was an emotional experience for both my mother and I. I enjoyed coming in for my fittings and they had great advice about what kind of shoes and undergarments to get. They also worked with me so that one of my fittings lined up with a test run on my hair so I was able to get a preview of how the whole look would come together. After watching my fair share of Say Yes to the Dress I was a bit scared about how much a gown would cost me but in the end I was very happily surprised. It was a personal plus that they are only a few blocks from my house but for anyone out of town I suggest making a day of it because Alameda is such a great place to explore with Park Street full of shops and restaurants just around the corner from Janene's. I highly recommend Janene’s Bridal Boutique to any Bay Area brides to be!

Hands down one of the best levels of customer service I have ever received. I fell in love with a dress but couldn't find it in Southern California. I finally emailed the designer who gave me a list of vendors. Janene's was one of them. I emailed them and got a quick response letting me know they had a sample for me to try on. Woohoo! I let them know I would be flying up from Southern California and they were very accommodating about scheduling my appointment. I'd been communicating with Stephani via email and when I got to the store, she was as awesome as she had been via email. She was extremely helpful and patient as I tried on several dresses (they have a good selection and I liked quite a few of their gowns) and then several veils. In the end, I got the dress I originally wanted with the perfect veil to match. When the dress arrived, Stephani immediately contacted me to let me know that and to confirm how I'd like to get the dress. Since I wanted it shipped to me, she kept me apprised of details and coordinated the final payment all without my having to fly up. I was completely confident in her and trusted her and she and Janene's Bridal Boutique did not let me down!

I stumbled upon Janene's Bridal while searching last-minute for a veil. I originally didn't want to wear one, but 2 weeks before the wedding, had a change of heart. I hate shopping and wanted to make it a quick trip. To my surprise and delight, Janene's was my only stop. I went in, noticed a HUGE rack of veils on the wall, tried on three different ones, found the perfect veil for me, paid and left. The saleswoman was kind and helpful without being pushy. I appreciated that she directed my friend and I to the veils and then let us try on, discuss, etc. in privacy. Great shop with beautiful dresses too!

I had originally found my dress on a visit to Chicago, but living in SF, I needed to find somewhere closer that could order my dress and do alterations. Janene's Bridal Boutique was the answer, and everyone there was amazing, especially Jennifer. I bought my wedding dress and had it altered at Janene's. They were a dream to work with from day 1. I had gone to a few other bridal shops before Janene's, but none of them compared to how I felt at Janene's.

The store itself is small, but with a pretty large selection. I was clear about my budget, and was easily pointed in the direction of dresses that fit within that frame. I ordered in December, and it arrived at the beginning of May (exactly when I was told it would).

I also opted to have my alterations done at Janene's (bust cups, hem, and bustle). It was slightly more than I initially anticipated paying, but Jennifer, the alterations manager, was very clear in her explanations of why things cost what they did. She also gave me and my bridesmaids loads of tips about how to make sure the dress looked best the day of.

Working with Janene's involved absolutely no stress, which was a godsend. I had 3 total fittings (scheduling these was the only tough part, as they're pretty busy this time of year, but they're open until 8, which accommodated my work schedule). On my dress fit perfectly and I felt absolutely beautiful.

Not cheap, but you get what you pay for in that the quality is fantastic! Great selection, not pushy, honest, helpful, dedicated, sincere! They give great advice, and Janene has real talen!

I absolutely loved my dress and Stephanie and Janene were both so lovely and helpful. The dress was perfect but a little too big on my wedding day. It could have been my fault for not saying anything on the last fitting or I could have lost too much weight. They have a gorgeous selection and the prices are great. They are also very helpful and let you take your time. Wonderful experience all around.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Janene. I searched several places in San Francisco before walking into Janene's, which was a true breath of fresh air. They are so nice...a wonderful change from some of the 'snobby' places in Sf! I found a gorgeous dress there by Martina Liana and everyone commented on how beautiful and couture it looked! I definitely got my money's worth on the dress...it looked twice as expensive as it was. They were also very accomodating in scheduling fittings...having later appointments than most stores which is helpful for the working world!

Wonderful Experience

Janene's is the best. One of the best experiences I had while dress shopping, and that experience continued through the dress buying process and alterations. Staff were super helpful and let you really take your time (I've stayed past closing more than once). Once I found "the dress" they took my measurements and ordered the dress, which took about 5 months to arrive. Once the dress arrived, I picked it up and they offered to start alterations. I was hesitant at first to decide on alterations before pricing out some other places, but ultimately happy to choose them because they did a good job. Alterations were expensive though!! Almost cost as much as the dress itself (which was relatively affordable) - just be prepared!! I had 3 fittings total. The first fitting was just to get my measurements as soon as the dress arrived. The second fitting was about 1 month before the wedding to make sure nothing had changed and to start work on the hem and bustle. The bustle was by far the most expensive part, and honestly looks a bit weird in the end... I wish detachable trains were a more popular style! But with my dress design, I didn't have much of a choice. The final fitting was the week of the wedding where they make sure everything is perfect and teach out how to walk, sit, and move around in your dress. They also teach your people how to do the bustle and help you go to the bathroom! Really helpful stuff. During the "final" fitting, I found a couple of issues with the dress. They agreed to fix them on the spot before I officially picked up the dress, and everything was perfect for the big day. For dancing, etc during the reception, I needed the dress to be bustled and I took the shoulder straps off so I could move my arms. This worked really well for me, and I was able to dance all night with no issues at all. Overall, I think their prices (for dresses at least) are very reasonable and the shopping experience was unbeatable. At least stop by to check out their impressive inventory!

Lifesavers

After doing the stupid thing of buying a dress 2 sizes too small that I was in love with, losing 20lbs but still not getting the boobs to fit into it, I sent an SOS to my bridesmaid/professional event planner/recent bride for help and she recommended the alterations team at Janene's. They were amazing from the start, understood my needs and issues, were affordable considering what that I was asking them to reconstruct my dress, and did it all within 5 weeks of my wedding. The dress turned out amazing. If I were to dock them on anything it would be not putting a smaller corset size in when I expressed concern about losing more weight - which happened (and the dress started to fall off at the end of the night), but that was the least of my worries. THEY ARE AMAZING!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Made me feel like a true Bride!

I can't say enough great things about the team at Janene's Bridal. From the very beginning the sales team was so easy going, professional and never pushy. It was a blast trying in dresses despite being overweight. They made me feel like I could try any dress I wanted and even had ways to make the dress look like it fit with contraptions. This is something isn't something done in all wedding shops.

They made me feel like a true bride and even accommodated my large bridal party.

Once I did decide to buy the dress I knew u also wanted it tailored at Janene's. It was a lot pricier than elsewhere but I really didn't want to take the chance with my intricate beadwork on my dress. I would suggest that if your dress is as intricate and delicate as mine you're in good hands with the seamstress at Janene's.

Every time I had a fitting I was nervous and they eased my mind. They even had great tips on how to lift certain areas of my body so the dress could fit better and took the time to walk me through how to walk in the dress as well.

At the wedding everyone said that the dress fit me perfectly and it really did. Being someone who is highly critical of my own body, I felt so comfortable in the dress and confident that everything would stay in place. It was like a second skin and 2 Months later I'm still being told from random people how beautiful my dress was and how well it looked on me.

Thank you Janene's Bridal for making me feel like a beautiful bride on my wedding day!

Get your dress here!!!!

When I was wedding planning I got a late start to dress hunting so I needed to find my dress quickly. When I called around San Francisco all the shops had 3and 4 week wait lists to try on dresses. I found Janene's Bridal on yelp on a Tuesday evening, saw the were open late and welcomed you to come in and browse their inventory anytime. I got off the couch and drove over to check them out. They greeted me so warmly and had a great inventory and I was able to book an appt on the spot for Friday evening that same week! I brought my girlfriends and a bottle of champagne and said yes to the dress!

My dress came in early and fit perfectly.

Alterations appts were easy to make and I was able to schedule them at 6 or 7pm during the week so I didn't have to leave work early. I will say that I thought alterations were a bit expensive especially since I only needed a hem, bra cups and bustle. I might recommend to get your alterations done elsewhere a bit cheaper, but they did do a nice job.

I purchased my wedding dress at Janene's Bridal after searching several Bay Area stores for a simple, yet unique wedding dress. The selection at Janene's was by far the best I found. They have dresses for every style, body type, etc. Alterations were also done at Janene's and the quality of service was very impressive. They were very flexible with my short timeline for getting alterations done as well as my growing baby bump. My dress looked absolutely beautiful and fit perfectly!

I went to several bridal boutiques and found them pretty stressful. When I found 'the dress' it was in a very small size, so I called everywhere just trying to find a dress that fit. This is how I stumbled upon Janene's.

They were very friendly, helpful, reasonable priced, and I can't believe I wasted time anywhere else.

They work exclusively with brides, so no bridesmaid fuss, and while it is small, it is lovely and intimate. Just what I wanted in the first place.

I had purchased my dress from another vendor, but needed to have alterations. I made my appointment with Janene and she took my measurements and made the adjustments not once, but twice. The final result was gorgeous. I'm very pleased by her attention to detail and making my dress more gorgeous than it already was. She also has an amazing array of wedding dresses and accessories at reasonable prices. Of course, I saw a dress in the window that I fell in love with. LOL!

I loved the service! My consultant Kate was awesome and so friendly. She was the one who found my dress for me! I was looking at other styles when I first came in, but she encouraged me to try on different things that I never thought I would choose... I ended up choosing a mermaid style dress which was definitely not on my list at first! She was so helpful and I appreciated that she helped me branch out of my focus to find a 3/4 off the shoulder sleeve lace dress which ended up not looking as good as I imagined. They have dresses ranging $1100 and up (the ones I was looking at) so my dress budget ended up being higher than I wanted. There is a lot of options to choose from though!

Janene's had a wonderful selection of bridal dresses from what I saw. My experience was unique because I already knew what dress I wanted and Janene's could order it for me so I didn't try on any dresses there. The price was fair and they offered me 10% off which always helps! My dress arrived on time to try on which was a plus. I did not get my alterations done here I chose to save money and have a local alterations specialist.

Love her!!! I went to Janene for alterations and love her!!! I totally had dress regret- to the point of bursting in tears at my first fitting- but she made a few of my requested changes and my dress was PERFECT!!! Note- she made "a few" of the changes, not all. Sometimes I asked her about a change and she was very direct and said it's a bad idea or it wouldn't work with the dress. I was frustrated at first (well, actually probably until the last fitting!) but TRUST HER, she really knows her stuff. She is very honest, which is tough sometimes, but you will absolutely appreciate it when you see you gorgeous wedding photos!!!

PS- her store is amazing- the dresses are BEAUTIFUL!- I wish this was my first stop when shopping for my dress!!!

I went to Janene's Bridal for alterations after a recommendation from Glamour Closet in SF.

Janene delivered what she promised -- an absolute perfect fit. The quality of her work is very high, and she made me feel comfortable and confident. She really cares about every customer and is dedicated to making sure each bride looks spectacular on her big day.

The shop is popular for good reason. But it can be hard to reschedule an appointment at the last minute, so just keep that in mind for planning purposes.

A stress-free dress shopping experience

After having an underwhelming dress shopping experience at a bridal salon closer to home, we decided to make the trek out to Janene's Bridal Boutique despite the long drive.

Our consultant, Cynthia, was very warm and welcoming for our appointment. There was a wide variety of dresses available in the store from numerous designers and she assured us that there would be something from every price point. We were allowed to wander and pull dresses without any rush and she was very helpful in taking down our feedback on what we liked or didn't like for each dress I tried on. I ended up ordering a dress I had tried on elsewhere because the customer service at Janene's was exceptional. Communication was always prompt, such as informing me when my dress had arrived.

Alterations were unexpectedly pricey, but I received a significant discount due to purchasing my dress during a promotional weekend. The alterations appointments were more frequent leading up to the wedding date, but any last minute changes were covered in the initial cost. During our final fitting, the alterations manager Jennifer was very patient in explaining to my bridesmaids how to bustle and maintain the dress to ensure maximum floof for photos.

Parking outside the bridal salon could be quite difficult during busy hours. (It's mostly street metered parking.) This can be especially hard on dress pick-up days if you need to carry it to your car! They are very popular, so though our first few appointments were on the weekends, the last few alterations appointments fell on weekdays. Since you will need someone with you on your final fitting, it's good to have advance warning.

My dress looked perfect on our special day and it fit like a glove. I couldn't recommend the lovely ladies at Janene's more!

I ordered my dress from Janene's and just starting my alterations. The whole experience from trying on dresses to putting my own dress on for the first time was truly a memorable experience. They had a ton of dresses to choose from and the staff is great. I visited three other bridal salons before Janene's and I know I made the right choice to purchase my dream wedding gown from this salon.

I got my dress at Janene's Bridal and loved it! They were relatively reasonably priced and very responsive to any additional requests. The woman who helped me find my dress - Heather - was extremely sweet, kind, enthusiastic, and genuinely wanted it to be a good experience for her customers. I really appreciated that!! i had my alternations done there too and they did a fantastic job! There are a LOT of choices when you go to janene's bridal so it definitely helps - particularly when you don't have the luxury of spending months just looking for the right dress! i really had a great experience at janene's bridal.

Overall I loved my dress shopping experience with Janene's Bridal. Though it's a small shop I never felt cramped or rushed. They are good about honoring your appointment time and giving you their full attention. It's clear that they know how to make brides happy and they work hard to ensure you leave with a smile on your face. My only critique would be their process for picking up dresses. My dress came in two months early and I was out of state at the time. I had to pay my remaining balance over the phone and it was a bit stressful. I would have preferred they have more flexibility but I understand they have lots of clients and can't make exceptions. I am still in love with my dress and in love with their customer service.

Great selection!

I had a wonderful experience with this bridal shop (for the most part...) From the very beginning- making the appointment on line, it was all very easy. Once I arrived my consultant was super sweet & you can tell that she genuinely enjoyed her role. It just so happens the weekend I went they were having a trunk sale by the designer of the gown that I loved so that was an added bonus. It was the first & only bridal shop I went to & I fell in love with the 3rd gown I tried on. Everything was easy & seamless. When I got that long awaited call that my dress arrived 4 months later I was thrilled. My consultant warned me that I should plan to spend between $500-$1,000 on alterations. After trying on my gown the alterations lady comes in and spend about 5 minutes with me then scribbled down on a piece of paper $650 worth of alterations. (She claimed I needed a French bustle, darts in the straps & hem.) I kindly too my gown & went toa seamstress in San Jose that did a magnificent job & charged me 1/2 of that. I still give 4 stars because up until the alterations I had a lovely experience. They make their money on alterations & accessories. I would suggest purchasing a gown there but going elsewhere for alterations & accessories. BTW I tried on a belt with my gown that they wanted $500 for... I found one on Etsy & paid $35!)

Going to Janene's is like a bride's dream come true! Such a cute corner shop stuffed full of beautiful boutique dresses, ahh!

You HAVE to make an appointment before coming here because they're pretty booked on a day-to-day basis. I enjoyed trying on different dresses here so much.

Having gone to other bridal dress shops though, I gotta say I was expecting their consultants to do more. My consultant had only worked there for a year or so, though (so they might not all be like her). She actually gave me wrong information when I asked (saying dresses were made by other brands) and was pretty hands-off in giving her opinions and putting forth suggestions for dresses and styles.

Prices are generally quite pricey, as only to be expected of a boutique dress store here. However, the dresses are gorgeous, they're well-stocked with different styles, and you can sometimes (rarely) even buy dresses off the floor for less than their original price.

I bought my wedding dress and had my alterations done here. The process of purchasing my dress was great and all of the girls who work at Janene's Bridal are wonderful and so fun to see and work with. However, I was not always happy with Janene - she didn't always seem to be in the best of moods and was often unpleasant. During one of my last alterations, she told me I needed to take out my dress because she couldn't get my clasps closed. She had acrylic nails on so I asked one of the staff members to do the clasp (who wasn't wearing acrylic nails) and she had no problem clasping my dress.

Also, at my last dress fitting, my bustle was not done - half of the train did not bustle up. Janene said she would fix it and it would be all ready when I picked it up and I would not need to do another fitting just to take a look at the bustle. The bustle was in fact not fixed and when it was bustled on my wedding day, half of the train was still on the floor. Thankfully, my coordinator and bridesmaids were able to fix the train with safety pins so it bustled into my dress but the train tore throughout the night because the safety pins were not strong enough to hold it up. My alterations, especially my bustle, were very expensive so I felt an half completed bustle was unacceptable.

What an utter ripoff

We ordered a Maggie Sottero wedding gown from this vendor in October of 2023 for a July 2024 wedding. We were told that the dress would arrive in March of 2024. The dress arrived for the first fitting on June 4. My daughter and her wedding coordinator had to hound them to even get an appointment that soon. I received a call from my daughter during the fitting telling me that the cost of the alterations would be $1200! The dress cost approximately $2000. For a designer dress that is supposed to be made to order, having the alterations cost an additional 60% of the cost of the dress is absurd. At this late date we have no alternative but to pay for these alterations. Since dresses are ordered months in advance of the wedding it is understandable that the bride to be could gain or lose some weight in that interval and some minor alterations might be needed. It is completely unacceptable that a made to order dress where measurements were taken is so long that the entire bottom of the dress has to be taken off (including a cathedral train). It is ridiculous that the length of the finished dress is so much longer than the measurement that it cannot be accommodated with a minor change in shoe height. We purchased a Rosa Clara wedding gown in London for her older sister in 2022. It arrived at the Rosa Clara shop on time and fit almost perfectly. Very minor alterations and bustling were all that were necessary. I purchased an Eve of Milady gown for myself 43 years ago. It was made to order for me and arrived on time and fit perfectly. Something is very wrong here.

They are very dishonest.
Wedding planning is stressful enough. Janene's Bridal Boutique added onto the stress and anxiety. Eventhough I ordered my dress 10 months before the wedding, yet I got my dress 2 months before my wedding.

They don't make wedding planning easier. Worst experience ever. I spoke with the owner and she didn't care about the poor service they have. She simply blamed it all on her daughter. Apparently her daughter does the ordering and the owner does the alterations.

At the beginning they provided me a date for when it will arrive but then the day comes and they don't know where it is and when it will arrive. Then a whole month passes. They call me to tell me they think they have an idea. By this point I start stressing because I only have 3 months before the wedding. Eventually, I get a call that the dress arrived, by this point I only have 2 months before the wedding.

They pretty much force the customers to get it altered by them based on the little time frame they provide. Lastly, they over charge for alterations as well.

At the end you leave feeling stressed and foolish for buying your dress from such a dirty boutique.

Refer back to the many bad reviews it has. They all have a pattern.
This place is full of empty excuses.

I purchased my dress at Janene's Bridal in Alameda and had a very pleasant buying experience - mainly because I knew exactly what I wanted to purchase (designer name, style, and the amount that I'm willing to pay).

This review is based solely on the alteration of the dress. Since I purchased my dress here, I thought it would be easier to also have them do the alterations. When my dress first arrived, I had my first fitting and pointed out exactly what my concerns were - chest area, bustle, length, and waist. It was very quick and they made notes of my concerns.

At my second fitting, none of the things I was hoping for were made on the dress. So I figured it probably would be on the next fitting. They measured the length of the dress to make sure it's the length I wanted - again in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes.

At my third fitting - the waist were taken a little but the dress was still big on me. They tried to say that I probably lost weight (which I pointed out to them that I didn't) and they insisted that I did. Also, none of the things that I wanted them to fix from my first and second fittings were done.

At my fourth fitting, the waist was fixed, but the length of the dress was shorter than what I expected. Also the chest area (which I pointed out to them during my first fitting) and the bustle were not done. I tried to tell them that the length of the dress is not what I wanted. I felt like it was shorter. Their response were "it looks fine when you're walking". Don't they know that you're usually standing up when you're taking photos? So basically, the length of the dress "looks ok when you're walking" but not when you're standing up. As for the chest area - their recommendation is for me to tape the dress against my dress. So basically, no suggestions on how they would fix it - other than tape it against my chest.

Long story short, you can buy your dress here but please go somewhere else for alteration!!!

Do not shop here for your bridal dress

My daughter ordered her dress in May 2025. She was never contacted regarding the status of her dress and called to check later in the year. She was told that it would be there in January 2026! She waited again and still no contact. Finally the day before her alteration appointment she got a voice mail that said the dress was finally in which was April 2!
What terrible customer service to never reach out to the Bride and let her know why her dress is delayed. Her experience at Janene's in Alameda was terrible, stressful and very disappointing. Please do not support a business that does not care about its clients and only wants to collect the money. This is supposed to be a happy moment in a Bride's life but Janene's made it extremely stressful for not keeping in touch and simply informing her of the many delays. I would not recommend this shop at all! STAY AWAY!!!

Horrible, stressful experience - 0 stars

0 stars. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND purchasing your wedding dress from Janene's. I ordered my dress from the SF boutique the first week of July 2025 and was given an ETA of 4-6 months by email. I received another email in early October that my dress was "in the final steps of production".

I called early January (which was at the 6 month mark) to get an update on my dress because I hadn't heard from them and was told that my dress was still in the final steps of production and should be coming "soon" with no actual ETA. So since October there’s been no progress? But I gave the benefit of the doubt. I had to ask for a clearer timeline though and was told "hopefully" by February.

By February, I called for the second time to ask for an update and was given the same vague answer by the same girl in January - the designer had "slight delays" but they were expecting a shipment from them hopefully by the end of February or first week of March since February was a shorter month.

The THIRD time I called in this first week of March (Friday), I spoke to Jessica who gave me another generic response that my dress was STILL delayed from the designer and they prioritize dresses by wedding date but would HOPEFULLY come within the next few weeks so I should expect it this month. Why should my dress be delayed for someone else if I ordered almost a year before? She tried to assure me by saying that I had enough time for alterations, but that didn't matter to me because regardless of time I had, they still had such a longer delay than what was originally communicated to me. I told her of my frustration and felt like I was being lied to each time I asked for an update. How could she give me any assurance when they kept telling me for months each time that my dress was delayed and couldn’t actually say when it would come?? She finally said she would escalate this to the owner Stephanie who had communications with the designer and "can make something happen".

In the same day, I received a call from Jessica saying that Stephanie had reached out to the designer and found out my dress has actually shipped. How could my dress suddenly go from being delayed to being shipped?? I find that very suspicious and questionable.

Now they said they would call me again with an update by Monday (today). But of course I was the one who had to reach out again because no one called me and I spoke to Jessica again, who said they’re still waiting on updates from the designer but the owner confirmed my dress shipped. She couldn’t tell me exactly when it would arrive but shipping could take two weeks and I should expect it “soon”. So still no real answer as to where my dress is or when it’ll come, which is absolutely ridiculous.

After 8 months, I still don’t have my dress. I am incredibly unhappy with my experience due to these delays and dishonest, unclear communication. Save yourself from the stress and anxiety and go to a more reliable and honest bridal shop that cares to fulfill their orders on time instead of giving false hope and lying to their customers.

First of all I want to say that Heather was my consultant and I LOVED her.

The rest of my experience was a nightmare. I ordered my dress with another consultant. She informed me that, based on my measurements, I need a size 16 which seemed odd since the size 12 sample dress was very close to zipping up. She showed me the designer's chart and the measurements that she wrote down and based on the bust measurement I could see why she thought I needed that size. Note, she was standing behind me when she took the measurement so I never saw the number on the measuring tape.

When my dress came in it was huge! Stephanie and Janene came and looked at it and then calculated a $1000(!) price for alterations. I already knew two people that had had very poor alterations done here so I wasn't convinced that I should get them done here anyway but that really sealed the deal.

I took my dress to the seamstress for a much higher end salon. She saw the dress on me and asked, one was how much weight have you lost(3 lbs) and two where did you order this from because they ordered you the wrong size. She demanded that I go home and compare the receipt measurements to the ones she took. When I did this I realized that the bust measurement written down was 2.5 inches bigger. I contacted Janene's with this info and their response was they won't discount the alterations price and "When people lose pounds on the scale it is always different compared to inches, you can lose 3 pounds but lose 2 inches off of your body. We definitely see it all the time, brides will come in and say they have lost no weight on the scale but the dress is falling off of them."

Sorry but losing 3 lbs does not make your bust line go down 2.5 inches. I am not saying that they ordered the wrong size on purpose to get more money in alterations(although some of my friends and family think so) but I think they should have fessed up to their mistake and tried to make it right. Stay far away from this place.
