I saved this review for last, this amazing human is literally responsible for catching your entire wedding evening on camera, that is a tough job to take on. You will not be disappointed guys. Not only was she the photographer, she helped me coordinate day of, kept wild humans in line, kept us on track for the evening, AND had us a 70ish photo sneak peek three days after our wedding.
Janae's work speaks for itself, she is kind, but strong and will help to see to it your day goes off without a hitch. Even keeping anxious moms in line, and checking in to be sure myself and hubby were doing okay hours prior to the wedding. Her work went well beyond day of, we had our engagement shoot in which she delivered the best sneak peek we could have ever asked for, getting to see her creativity at work months prior to our wedding was an amazing experience. For our engagement photos she headed up into the mountains with only a few days notice, because my hubby and I wanted snowy engagement photos- she did it, no questions asked. I cannot tell you how many questions I ran through her from outfit options, ceremony start times, how to navigate difficult family, etc. She even takes the time to get to know what YOU want as a couple, even individuals. Her pre-wedding questionnaire leaves no guess work for herself or you as a couple. Down to each and every single photo you could want, or what you may NOT want- which is equally important.
Do not fear if you are that awkward human that does not photograph well, Janae is a ninja, and puts you and your spouse in just the right position, producing genuine moments, not just posed shots! Every laugh, kiss, and tear was pure reaction to a moment she had us falling into!
We went with her package that included a second photographer DO IT. Those candid moments are just as important as the posed photos, having two sets of eyes makes it that much more likely they will get captured! You will not even know they were there. Opting to forego a videographer made photography that much more important to us, we wanted to be sure to have every moment captured. Her second shooter was a great fit for our crown as well.
We also opted for her photobooth add in through Little Guy Photobooth DO IT- those photos were hilarious as well! We have laughed so much looking through the photos and boomerangs, everyone loves to let loose in those tings. Oh also the gallery of those photos was in my email the day after my wedding guys, that is more than I could ever ask for!

I have to add to my previous review now that the wedding has passed and my feet are back on the ground, although there is no possible way I could do justice to the amazing quality of work, professionalism, creativity, and also camaraderie that Janae offers. Her photos are mind-blowing - every shoot she does lately my jaw drops, this girl is on fire! And when it came to our wedding, not only did she pull through with the things you'd expect, but she also had a detailed pre-wedding survey to make sure she was prepared and wouldn't miss a single detail or shot day of, and she spent ungodly amounts of time working with me to fine-tune my day of timeline (TOTALLY not her job, but she helped anyway with expert experience and knowledge). Furthermore, when you book additional services with her (e.g. photobooth, videography, etc.) you should rest assured she is se-lec-tive, and doesn't associate with any but the best. The second photographer she enlisted for our wedding day was on-point and a great support to her. Also - random side note - these two were *ninjas*, we barely noticed their presence other than for the staged shots. When we got our gallery we literally turned to each other at certain candids and asked "did you know they were there? I don't even remember seeing them!" An important final note - Janae is an amazing person, she's funny, she's kind, she's thoughtful, dedicated, calming, and has a great laugh. You'll love having her at your wedding and event not just for her quality of work, but for what she adds to the experience. Hands down can't sing her praise enough, can't wait to book her for anniversary and maternity shoots in the future (fingers crossed!) and have made strong recommendations to all my girls to do the same!

I recently had my engagement session with Janae. She was very accommodating with my fiance's & my busy schedules, and found the perfect time of year and day to do our Joshua Tree shoot. When we got there, my fiance and I were totally lost on what to do and how to act. Like a boss, Janae stepped up and gave us a pep talk encouraging us to relax, be ourselves, and pretend she wasn't there. We still weren't naturals despite her encouragement, but she didn't hesitate to step in and give direction when needed, still laughing and joking with us all the while. Then when I saw the photos - OMG words can't explain. It's like she saw straight into our souls and was able to tell our whole love story. I can see in the photos all the challenges we've overcome, all the triumphs, all the soft moments, and also all our hope and excitement for our forever future. If you're looking for someone who can take photos that are true to you, artful, glamorous, awe-inspiring, breath-taking, and 110% professional and technically exquisite photos - you've found your girl. If the engagement shoot was this mind-blowing I can't wait to see the magic she creates at our wedding!!! -

Janae is perfect! Looking for a wedding photographer is intimidating but I talked to her at a wedding show and found that she was exactly what I had wanted in a photographer! Her pictures are gorgeous, they're not typical cliché wedding pictures, and they show the couple's personality perfectly. I had my engagement pictures 9 months ago and I still look at them in awe. At my wedding, she didn't waste any time getting pictures done and getting the family ones done quickly. She was my own little cheerleader, made me feel hot, and captured me and my husband perfectly. She listened tow hat I thought was important and did more than I could have ever imagined. Booking Janae was the best wedding purchase I made, and I plan on using her in the future. DEFINITELY recommend Janae! She's the best! -

Best photographer ever!
Janae is so wonderful to work with. My husband and I booked her for our engagement, wedding and "after bridals." We decided to book her because of her style and passion for photography. Janae encouraged us to choose a location that really meant something to us. I feel like my husband and I were able to get amazing, genuine moments because we were in Joshua Tree; a place that we loved and wanted to share that with our loved ones. Ian and I have never had professional photographs taken before and she made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Our photographs are availavlble in a user friendly gallery that made it really easy to share our photographs with family and friends. She was very professional yet relatable and personable. She's a great communicator and more than willing to work with you to make sure it's exactly what you want. She is more than willing to travel; actually encourages it. You can really see the passion for her work through the joy create for her clients. Janae is an amazing person and photographer. We will definitely be working with her again! -

Jamie Sent on 10/14/2017Janae is a wonderful photographer. The booking process was easy, and she is wonderful at communicating upcoming dates and questions about what shots we wanted for our wedding. The package included engagement photos, but, since we’d already taken engagement photos and it was so close to our wedding date, she changed it to a bridal shoot so she could get special shots of me in my wedding outfit. She even paid for a MUA to come to my apartment and get me ready!
Her pictures are phenomenal, and she did a great job of capturing the little moments. We’re getting our pictures back in a few weeks, and I can’t wait to see them! -
