Jonathan and his team were amazing! From the start Jonathan was a dream to work with and made the process so easy! Plus the food was beyond delicious! He even catered a private dinner for my bachelorette party with all fresh ingredients that I am still thinking about to this day! Everyone was talking about how good it was! I cannot thank him and his team enough for making my wedding day so special!! -

Jonathan and the team at James Madison make truly photo-worthy menus that left our guests raving about the delicious cuisine. We opted for a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern style crossover menu that produced an exceptional meal for our guests. The James Madison team was extremely flexible throughout the entire process, when the hot sun forced us to delay our ceremony, they quickly prepped food to extend the cocktail hour. When the high winds in Palm Springs started knocked over a few wine glasses, the team retrieved all the wine glasses and poured/hand delivered wine to our guests! Great work and I strongly recommend them! -

Working with Jonathan @ JMC for our small, destination wedding was everything we could ever want and more. Jonathan is personable, thoughtful and a great listener; through talking with us in the months leading up to our wedding, he went above and beyond to to perfectly customize the menu. And the meal was INCREDIBLE. I'm still having dreams about the soufflé. Creative customized delicious wedding meal!
Jonathon was wonderful to work with as he made our wedding menu vision come true. The post-wedding ceremony celebration was held at a private residence in Twentynine Palms, CA and we were looking for a caterer to serve a family-style middle eastern menu which would suit our guests’ various vegan/gluten-free/vegetarian dietary restrictions, while also providing options for meat lovers. Jonathon was excited about creating this menu. He even came to meet us at an Airbnb we rented when we visited the area months ahead of the event and put together a private dinner for us to taste. It was delicious and a great opportunity to provide him with feedback on the menu options we were able to try. Jonathan put so much passion and creativity into the menu and grazing board. He also handled the venue’s numerous permitting requirements with professionalism and grace. The wedding dinner that Jonathan presented on our big day blew us away! Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was, from the lamb meatballs, to the falafel to the turmeric couscous. We are so pleased with James Madison Catering and would highly recommend them. The glassware, flatware, and dinnerware they provided were also excellent.James Madison Catering's reply:

We had James at our wedding and we loved it!
He is the sweetest person and his food is just delicious!
So don’t go looking somewhere else! You found your guy!
We had the barkeeper service booked too. Here just a little note . The Barkeeper could have been a little better on knowing how to do the drinks.
We enjoyed the service and would definitely recommend!!
Thank you James for everything again!

The food is out of this world
Jonathan’s food is exceptional. For the price we got a lot of food. Guest where so please with the food and appetizers. Everyone left happy and fed. I recommend every time -

We had a fantastic experience with Jonathan, Nicole, and their team! We ended up having an intimate wedding with 15 of us there and Jonathan created a five course absolutely delicious experience for our families. Everything was so tasty, our families could not stop raving about the food that night and into the next morning. Jonathan, Nicole, and their team were all so kind, positive, and fun and made the experience even more amazing. It was an unforgettable reception dinner and we could not recommend James Madison Catering enough! -

James Madison Catering is worth well more than five stars! Presentation was beautiful, taste was absolutely delicious and value was amazing! My mother in law who’s very picky loved the food we served! Jonathan accommodated our request so easily as well. From our tasting day to the day of our wedding I knew we made the right choice. I’m so glad our venue recommended Jonathan and his services! Thank you Jonathan for making our food memorable at our wedding! -

I am still dreaming of the food that Jonathan and his team prepared for our wedding. Jonathan listened to all of our requests and exceeded all expectations. I had to change my previous review, as when I came back from the honeymoon I found out everything that happened. One being we were waiting on caterer to bring the table cloths which were brought one hour before ceremony started so we weren't able to set up the tables. But, we did leave everything on the tables that needed to be set out. One being the ice buckets for the champagne, the champagne, and the champagne glasses. The glasses were never set out on the table, so when we were doing toasts, nobody was able to use the champagne. So, most of it went to waste, anything opened they poured out and anything unopened, someone from this team put it in the freezer. They must have not ever drank champagne as this made them burst and not salvageable. So, this mistake cost us hundred of dollars- for the champagne, the champagne holders and glasses. The glasses were purchased in advance and not able to return. Another thing is the tables were supposed to have 10 settings each and one table (that I know of) had only 9. One of the guests didn't want to make a scene and ended up leaving as she didn't know it was their mistake and not that someone took her seat. Another thing is, the bartender kept getting pulled to help with food, so one of my guests had to make drinks for herself and whoever else was in line. I did bring this to the attention of the owner and he said "I'm sorry your guest had to pour herself a drink". Minus this one not professional response. Over all the communication was continually responsive, everyone talked about how they liked the food. They continue to ask what was in this or that because they liked it. The groom and I had a great experience with that owner for our tasting. The food was really good!! And just the experience was fun! And it was very considerate of them to bring the wedding party the food right after the ceremony ended. We did pay extra to get their help to clean up, and we appreciated all the help we could get. I still would recommend using them as a caterer, but I would make sure to not rent anything from them, so you can set up everything yourself to not allow for these mistakes to happen. And then someone just needs to know that you can't freeze champagne. Weddings are already so expensive and it hurts financially when these mistakes happen.
