Jack is the Best!

Words cannot describe how amazing Jack is but we’ll try! Jack made us feel so comfortable from our initial call and was a true professional throughout the process but most importantly connected with us like a friend, which is something we were really looking for. Jack’s eye is unfounded - he captured moments we wouldn’t have thought to get throughout our wedding day and made us both feel so at ease in front of the lens, which is a feat as neither of us like to be in the spotlight. Jack also made our day feel so relaxed, we never felt any pressure for getting “the shot”, yet he provided the most incredible photos of us and friends and family. Do not hesitate to book with him, you will absolutely not regret it! Our friends and family have complimented our pictures to no end and have resoundingly mentioned how magical, glamorous, beautiful and chic they look. We are so grateful for him and could not have asked for a better partner in our day!

Like a Great Wes Anderson Film

Jack is an exceptionally talented photographer, but most of all a wonderful person. He’s the type of guy you want as a guest at your wedding as he brings such positive and relaxed energy. He’s FUN aware of relationship dynamics and incredibly detailed. I was actually not looking forward to this part of the wedding experience before meeting Jack, but working with Jack turned out to be one of my favorite parts. He’s incredibly accommodating, supportive, and his work speaks for itself. He’s able to capture the more traditional shots in such a beautiful and creative way. Our engagement photos and wedding photos are perfect and more than we could ever had hoped for. We both feel like we hit the “jack”pot and every time we look at our photos and Jack’s work on our wall we feel inspired to love more. Highly highly recommend working with Jack.

Astonishing and Hilarious

Jack Hoyle was the first vendor we picked for our wedding because we knew he would be a nonnegotiable. We knew that Jack was the one who HAD to photograph our special day and we didn't want anyone else. From the engagement shoot to the wedding he continually impressed us with his creativity, charm, and skill. Not to mention, he is hilarious and made the whole day so relaxing and fun! He kept our nerves at bay and we constantly had people coming up to us to tell us how much fun our photographer was! I cannot recommend Jack Hoyle enough and we will definitely be using him in the future for any other events that we need photographed!

Incredible, vibrant wedding photos

Jack did our engagement and wedding photos, and we were absolutely thrilled with how they turned out. So many other wedding photos are dark and moody, but we knew that wasn't reflective of our relationship, so we were looking for a photographer whose photos felt vibrant, joyous, and unique. Jack nailed all of those things. Our photos are incredible, true to our personalities, and reflective of the tone of the day. Even the photos from the dancing at the end of the evening feel lively and bring you right back to the exuberance of the moment. It felt impossible to narrow them down for an album because there were so many wonderful options (a great problem to have).

On top of this, Jack was responsive, had great ideas, and was so much fun to work with. If you're looking for amazing, one-of-a-kind wedding photos, I cannot recommend Jack highly enough!

Best photographer ever!

Jack was so friendly, easy to work with, flexible, and helpful. The guests asked us if he was our friend because he was so warm and fun throughout the event. He was really great at working with big groups and finding creative, beautiful shots. Our engagement photos were amazing and we cannot wait to see our wedding pics!

Great Photographer with great ideas!

We use Jack as both our wedding and engagement photographer. He was wonderful to work with. He did a great job of getting on the same page as us, and immediately setting us at ease. Our photo shoots felt like hanging with a friend, and I believe that came through in our photos.

Jack scouted our wedding beforehand and had some wonderful locations picked out for photos. We loved all of our photos. We are very happy we chose Jack.

Incredible Photographer, Highly Recommend!!

Jack is exceptionally talented and captured our wedding beautifully! He exceeded our expectations from start to finish, and was very helpful every step of the way. The whole process was stress free, which is something to say when it comes to weddings. I will say when you book Jack as your photographer, you are also booking a day of event coordinator. Jack played a key role in keeping our wedding day on time. We didn’t have a wedding planner so this added bonus was just what we needed. Jack is quite personable and funny which added to the entire process. Not only did we enjoy his company and breath taking photos, all our guests loved him as well. Because of Jack’s personality and talent, he is the perfect blend of what every photographer should be! Highly highly recommended!!

Best Photographer Ever!

There are SO many good things to say about Jack. Of course, his talent is just out of this world. He makes every photo look amazing! Not only that, but he is SO great at making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed so the photos don't look stiff and posed. He has the most kind personality and truly is just perfect for the wedding photographer role! He took both our engagement and wedding photos. I highly reccommend doing your engagement photos with him so you get to know each other and learn each others' style. Our engagement photos were everything we could've dreamed of and more. Jack is communicative, efficient, prompt and so professional! I will recommend him to everyone going forward (already have) and hope to use him for all future photography needs of our own. Pictures are stunning and works or art

Jack was the absolute best photographer we could have hoped for. He completely understood our vision of what we wanted and gave us everything we wanted and more. The wedding pictures I got from Jack was authentic and just full of life, they definitely tell a story. I would recommend jack to anyone and everyone who needs a wedding photographer and I promise you you won’t be disappointed. Truly stunning work and such an enjoyable experience!

Jack is incredible. From the get-go, he was so easy to communicate with and very personable and professional. He was excited about doing something different with us for our engagement photo shoot and elevated any ideas we had. Our engagment pictures turned out so great because we were literally having that much fun with Jack as our photographer. During our wedding day, he kept everyone organized and on schedule while creating truly gorgeous imagery. He’s very timely with his editing work and gets pictures back to you quickly. I would describe his work as fresh and interesting - ranging from lighthearted and fun to breathtaking and ethereal. Jack can take everyday objects and locations and yield a striking and memorable photograph. I will leave you with feedback from one of my bridesmaids, “I want to get married again just so I can have him as my photographer.”

Jack was fantastic - professional, kind, and sincerely seemed to care about my family and I and what we wanted out of our wedding photos. I also loved his creativity and the fact that he wasn’t stuck on only typical wedding pictures/poses. Would recommend without any hesitation!

Jack is absolutely the best!!! He doesn’t just do typical posed pictures but he creates pictures that make you feel as though you are right there in the moment. Jack Hoyle Photography is absolutely AMAZING! We had a great experience with Jack from the start. He first did our engagement pictures and we fell in love with every shot. He is very knowledgeable on locations around Detroit and knew a ton of amazing spots, even just within our venue (The Masonic Temple) to take pictures that we didn't even know about----and the pictures turned out better than we could have imagined. We had a NYE wedding, so we ultimately had to brave the cold for any destination shots. Even though it was only 6 degrees outside, he was extremely patient with not only my husband and I, but working with the whole wedding party. Jack was more than willing and dedicated to capture the perfect picture and take whatever picture we wanted and some in the extreme cold. He found amazing settings that brought the best out of the season. He made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole day, and truly felt like we were just celebrating our special day with an old friend. He stayed all night and we were so happy he was able to capture the NYE midnight celebration with all our friends and family. If you are looking for a dedicated, creative, talented photographer and all around just a great guy to be around-- Jack is definitely for you!

Jack was the photographer for our son's wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased! He' so pleasant and was very easy and accommodating to work with. He works very unobtrusively and we never felt that he was in the way of the actual event. And the pictures were beautiful! He really listened to what we wanted as far as both posed and action/unstaged shots. We had one change request a few months later when we finally got around to selecting the pictures and he was so helpful and went out of his way to make us happy. I highly recommend Jack and am honored to give this recommendation!

Jack was amazing from the very first meeting, a fun unique engagement shoot and then a wonderful wedding. He is a true artist, and if you want a collection of photographs that are perfectly crafted around you and your soon to be husband, he is your guy! I am finding it difficult to put to words how elated my husband and I are that we hired Jack Hoyle to photograph our wedding in September 2017. We sought a photographer with a photojournalistic style, someone who captures the very real and raw emotions as they happen. Jacks work immediately stood out to me as doing so, for he values movement and natural expression. Jack is based in Michigan, but made it clear that he was willing to travel to Chicago (on a very reasonable travel budget, and with photography packages that fit into our budget) to photograph our wedding. A few months before the wedding, Jack reached out to us with interest in meeting up at the spot we wanted to share our first look. We did so, and the entire time spent with him, I felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. Fast forward to September 2017; Jack came into town the day before our wedding and went out of his way to visit all of the spots at which he would be photographing to check the lighting, the space, etc. On the day of our wedding, he ran around the city with us; my husband was getting ready in one part of town, while I was getting ready in another. Jack Ubered and taxied between locations, eager to document the entire day from everyone's perspective. From the moment that my husband and Jack and I were together, I felt like we were all on a team. Jack's presence was never thought of as "the photographer" but as a pal, and he always encouraged us to be ourselves. Shortly after the wedding (less than 48 hours), he sent us a preview of 100 images from our wedding. My husband and I nearly cried tears of excitement when viewing these photos; they are absolutely incredible, the lighting is perfect, the emotions are genuine, and, in all honesty, we cannot believe how damn good we look. I guarantee you will be blown away by Jack Hoyle and his work; do yourself a favor, and hire this extraordinary British gentleman.

Nothing but amazing reviews to say about Jack Hoyle. Everything was absolutely perfect with our photos and he gave them to us so quickly. We had a great time with Jack at our wedding he got along so well with everyone at the wedding and by the end we felt like he was our friend more than our photographer. Jack has really creative ideas with working the landscape into his shots and we got some really cool photos that he took with the drone. We trucked through woods in our wedding attire but it was totally worth it. Jack showed up the day before to scout the area and worked with us in coming up with some cool spots for our first look and group shots. Everything felt relaxed and we had a good time taking photos. 100% recommend Jack for your wedding.

From the moment my husband and I met Jack, we knew we would have a fun time planning and having him be a big part of our day. He is professional, yet laid back, easy going and fun. His extremely creative eye made our photos beautiful, unique, funky, classy, sophisticated, and captured every emotion. Jack is an absolutely amazing photographer, and a blast to work with! We had so much fun doing our engagement session in downtown Detroit, and I have gotten so many great compliments on the photos. And even though it rained, snowed, and hailed on our wedding day, we could not be happier with the pictures. He had so many cool ideas and we are so glad we hired him! I'm so happy I found Jack on Weddingwire. He does a great job telling you how to pose without making the pictures look posed. He has a laid back personality and responds to emails quickly. He also has agood eye for taking unique/artsy/pinterest-worthy photos. I really love all of my wedding pictures! I've already recommended him to multiple friends and they were all happy as well.

We could not be any happier with our choice of Jack as our wedding photographer. He captured each moment of our day in way that was artistic and beautiful, but real and unstaged at the same time. He got mutiple angles of many shots which is remarkable given he's only one person! He was willing to include our dogs in some pre-wedding family photos which definitely made the shoot more challenging, but was very meaningful for us. Jack has an easy-going demeanor that puts people at ease and he is genuinely passionate about his work. We are so delighted with our photos and highly recommend Jack!

Jack did a fantastic job capturing the excitement, beauty, and fun of our big day! With a ceremony in Chelsea, MI and reception in Howell, MI, Jack was very flexible in taking photos not just at the church and reception hall, but he also took an array of photos throughout downtown Chelsea.

We had a large wedding party and guest list, and Jack worked hard to get photos of everything - even as family members were not very attentive to direction! Jack has a wonderful ability to artistically capture each moment of the experience, and his direction is easy to follow. He helped to make our photos look very natural, and we were able to avoid too many posed moments.

We highly recommend Jack for any wedding, engagement photo session, birthday party, or any other event you can think of. He will leave you with a beautiful and unique set of photos no matter the situation, and he is a pleasure to be around and work with!

Jack did such an incredible job. We couldn't have been happier! He is such a nice person and a very hard worker. His ability to capture amazing moments is not something that just anyone can do. He is an artist and his passion for photography shows in his work. All of our friends and relatives were blown away by our wedding photos. As were we!! As soon as my husband and myself met Jack, we knew he was the photographer for us! In addition to Jack being from England just like my husband is, it made us feel even more connected. Jack is extremely personable, flexible, professional and talented. We had a comfortable and great time with our engagement pictures and as well our wedding photos. We are so extremely happy we chose Jack as our photographer and we would highly recommend him to anybody!

We looked at a handful of photographers and found one that had beautiful pictures but when we met with them we felt they were very standoffish and talked to us in a very condescending way. The next week we met with Jack and talked photography, but after finishing that we spent another half hour talking about life and traveling. His personality was a great fit for us. We're fairly laid back people and wanted a photographer who knew what he was doing but also someone with a personality that we felt comfortable with. When we left our first appointment we both new we had found our photographer. Best decision we made! The photos are AMAZING! He got our engagement photos back to us in practically 24 hours and our wedding photos were sent to us 2 weeks after the wedding (just like he said they would be). I would whole-heartily recommend Jack Hoyle Photography to anyone looking for any type of photo shoot.

We loved using Jack for our wedding. First off, he is 6'6" so that helps with photos and reduces any double chins :) Through email he was very responsive and you can pay via Paypal or square. He came to our venue to check out photo places in March (for our May wedding) so he was familiar with the space and to determine what flash and lenses he might need. We got married at the Toledo Zoo, ceremony was outside and the reception was in the aquarium. He was on time and ready to take photos for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. He really captures the day from the food, tables, to people having a good time. He was able to capture great formal photos and some candid photos. He turned around some preview photos within 3 days of the wedding and our full edited photos within two weeks. We are soooo happy with his photos and I can look back and really remember our special weekend. We cant wait for the coffee table books and we are working together to get that designed. There are so many good photos, it is going to be hard to pick out our favorites. I would recommend people in the Toledo and Ann Arbor area to think about Jack.

WOW is how I would start and end this review.

Jack is talented beyond measure. His precise eye for detail and ability to capture the most precious moments when you didn't even see him taking a picture make me wonder if he has supernatural powers...! We gave him super short notice to photograph our City Hall wedding, had a fussy baby on board, a groom who did *not* want to get into formalwear, and a bride with--let's just say--a medical condition. None of these potential hurdles came through in the Jack's photos; instead, the beautiful memories, heartfelt moments, elegance and silliness of the day were captured for us to remember forever in Jack's pictures. He sent us over a private link with the digital photo gallery, edited with sophistication and vibrancy, within a few days of our wedding. AND he drove five hours in the dead of winter to meet us! He also he drove us around all over tarnation so we could recreate photos of some of our previous memories of the city on our wedding day. Without ever once making me feel like a newb for my photo requests, he was supportive, kind, hilarious, and overall a very important part of why our wedding day was so special. I would have a hard time recommending anyone else to photograph a wedding besides this kind and super talented gentleman.

Not only a brilliant photographer, Jack is a pleasure to be around. He was unfailingly polite and friendly to everyone he came across, and fitted perfectly into our day which was held in Jersey Channel Islands. He really just let us, and all our guests, get on with enjoying the day - it was crucial to us that we could actually enjoy the results of all the effort we'd put into planning it, although Jack was always at our disposal and was confident enough to grab us at a moment he thought he could get a great shot, it was so nice to just let him get on with it!

Jack has an incredible talent for capturing a feeling in an image. You really get a sense of the atmosphere at each and every moment and that's exactly what we wanted - not a collection of snapshots of our nearest and dearest, but a record of the day as a whole, something we could look back on and remember how every step of the way felt. The time-lapse video Jack created for us was a great way off squeezing all 1000+ photos into 3 minutes viewing time. A couple of our closest friends who couldn't make the celebrations have commented how by watching it they could get a real sense of the day without having been there.

On the lead up to our wedding we had our engagement shoot with Jack in London where we are based. We had a great time exploring Colombia road flower market and then going across to London Bridge where we got engaged. The atmosphere was so relaxed it didn't feel like a 'shoot' at all, and it was great to get some professionl photos of us together before becoming Mr and Mrs.

Jack delivered a beautiful set of images that capture many very happy memories - I'm sure we will continue to enjoy looking through them for years to come. We couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Jack provided photography services for our English country wedding in Oct 2014. The finished cuts were fantastic - I absolutely love them!

I wanted our photos to really capture the day and they certainly show that. Jack managed to bring all the emotions from the day back again and it re-iterated to me what a fantastic day it was.

Jack was a real addition to the day - the whole booking process was smooth and communicative. He made everyone feel totally relaxed and managed to capture lots of natural shots that are so nice to have memories of, along with some beautiful, posed shots of my husband and I. We couldn't have asked for anything more from our wedding photographer.

Jack took the most beautiful photos of our wedding. He is so friendly and relaxed that he put us at ease from the moment we met him. On the wedding day, he was so unobtrusive that we forgot he was there most of the time. This enabled him to really capture the day exactly how it was. He is very skilled and passionate about photography and had some great ideas. The photographs are just stunning! The care and attention to detail is just utterly incredible!!! We cannot recommend Jack highly enough! Thank you!

I just want to say a huge thank you to you for all your hard work on the day. You made the whole party feel at ease from the start, captured some incredible moments and seemed to know what we wanted without needing any direction. I loved the mix of candid shots as well as the arty and romantic ones. We're not "selfie" kinda people, but you made us both feel really comfortable. You were able to keep control of the day whilst keeping the images natural and elegant. What everyone remarked on was the fact that you were part of the day and able to engage in all the banter but still blended in and made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable

There is one thing you definitely don't want to worry about on your wedding day and that is whether the photographer is going to capture those magic moments. A year on I can say that Jack did exactly that. As I prepare to celebrate my first wedding anniversary, I can honestly say I get great pleasure from looking at his photos. He captured the day perfectly.

Jack was a delight. He took the time to get to know us and what we wanted before the big day. Then during the day he mingled seamlessly with the guests and was able to capture beautiful candid shots. He picked all the right settings such that there was nothing left for us to do but smile.

I would definitely recommend Jack. You will be left with pictures that you can enjoy for years to come. I was!

We did an engagement shoot with Jack and the results are so much better than we hoped for. We loved them! He was super easy to work with and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera from the start. My fiancé and I highly recommend him.

We were so lucky to meet Jack Hoyle as our wedding photographer. My wife and I hired Jack for our wedding day. Capturing our day was very important to both of us and we can both very confidently say that Jack and the photos he took on our wedding day far surpassed all our expectations! We received the photographs very quickly and they tell the story of our day in a perfect way. We can highly recommend Jack. Not only was he a brilliant person to work with - calm, warm, professional - but we loved his pictures. They really captured the day. He managed to get some great indoor shots in poor lighting - no mean feat - and was patient enough to let us try some more experimental shots. Jack was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Last summer I had the pleasure of Jack photographing my wedding. Jack is great! He took many beautiful photos of my beach wedding and made the whole experience fun and easy. He took the time to listen to what my wife and I wanted and delivered wonderful results. He really captured the day, I would recommend him to anyone.

We were lucky enough to have Jack photograph our wedding in June. Jack was very professional throughout both the lead up to the wedding and on the actual day itself. We both hate having our photos taken but Jack was so easy to get along with, he made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera! So many of our guests have commented on what a great photographer he was. We are so pleased with the amazing photos that we now have to remember our day by - Jack really captured the whole day so well. We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer!

Jack is not only mega talented, artistic, and creative, but he is an incredible person too!
He has a great sense of humour and we had so much fun throughout the day.
He spent the whole wedding day with us and made us feel so comfortable during our foto shooting.
Like most brides I had very specific ideas of our wedding pictures and at the same time I was overwhelmed with the huge amount of shots I found on pinterest.
Jack was amazing! He managed to take all the pictures we wanted and brought in lots of great ideas. He is so creative and he just has this eye for great shots that only natural talents have.
Just a couple days ago we got to see our pictures for the first time. We were both blown away, our photos are absolutely beautiful!

The flowers, the dress, the wedding cake – everything was just for this one day – but we can enjoy those fotos for the rest of our lives. I am so glad that we have chosen Jack to take our pictures. He did such a great job to capture all the special moments and details of the day. We couldn´t be happier with the result!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, he is your man! He will go above and beyond for you!

Jack was very inviting, encouraging, and very flexible to coordinate from the very beginning. As soon as we heard he was available we were ecstatic. As soon as we spoke we were beyond happy with our choice to work with him. He had great ideas and was really easy to be around during our wedding day. We had so much up in the air with coordinating at wedding out of state that we had to keep changing things around on him and he always was accommodating to our changes. His final product was astounding and we cannot stop looking at our photos. If you get the lucky chance to work with him please do!!! He is a joy to be around and his pictures well... they speak for themselves. He is amazingly talented.
