Book if you want a packed dance floor and extremely talented musicians!

Hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding was booking Jack Garrett band!!! 6 months after our wedding, the number one thing people are still talking about was how amazing our band was and how packed the dance floor was! The band worked with us to curate a playlist that truly matched our personality and was guaranteed to have the dance floor busy all night long. We had a good mix of a younger crowd and some older family + friends so a wide range of musical tastes. From start to finish, the entire wedding was dancing - not just our group of young friends. We couldn't be more impressed with the show that they put on for us - these guys played their hearts out and it truly felt like a concert. If you're in doubt on whether to go with this band or another band - let me make it easy for you: Book Jack Garrett. These are some of the best musicians you'll find in the Cincinnati area hands down. They're not your typical wedding band playing the same old hits - they brought a passion and it really shined through in their music!! SO talented!

This band is fantastic! they kept everyone on the dance floor all night and everyone still talks about how good they were. Our guests mentioned that so many of their songs sounded like a recording because they were so good.

You will love this band!!

How many times are you not only willing to write a review but you enthusiastically ASK your vendor where they want you to write one! I'm super excited to write about our experience with Jack Garrett Band. From the start, Jack was extremely professional....I felt confident that he would take care of our reception and help to assure that our guests would have a good time. And that he did!! They didn't want the music to end! The music was excellent and the band sounded wonderful. But his work begins with the hours that Jack spends before the evening starts. Jack will discuss the songs and timeline in order to give you a well run and smooth evening. A testament to Jack is not just this review but our reception venue wanted to have Jack to come back and play for more events. Highly recommended!!!

I'm a wedding coordinator in the Cincinnati area that has had the pleasure of working with the Jack Garrett Band several times over the past year. Jack is simply the best. He puts his all into every single wedding and couple that he works with. I can't tell you how much my couples appreciate his attentiveness and responsiveness throughout the planning process. On the wedding day he shows up early to set up, is prepared with the setup and timeline and then always delivers an AMAZING performance for the reception. It always amazes me how Jack and his band can get EVERYONE on the dance floor ALL NIGHT!! He is a great guy, amazing performer and top notch professional. Hands down, Jack Garrett is the best in the biz!!

There is a reason Jack Garrett is so highly rated, this band is great!!! He had the entire dance floor packed all night and played nothing but hit after hit. Weeks later and our guests are still talking about how this was the best wedding band they’ve ever heard and how much they enjoyed their music. They weren’t just good music, they were a good time!
While his band isn’t the type that jumps up and down and runs around on stage, they don’t need to be: their music is phenomenal and Jack is a great emcee. Apart from the quality of their music, what sets them apart is that they know exactly what to play and when. If you have a bunch of drunk college friends dancing, they’re going to play something that’s upbeat and easy to dance to. If your aunts and uncles want a chance to slow dance, they’ll dial up a love song. If you’re just looking for someone to play wedding classics like “Shout” and “Sweet Caroline” they’ll play it better than any other wedding band in the tri-state. Plus, Jack knows just the right times to interject his personality and interact with the crowd.
He’s also a great guy and was very easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. He was full of helpful advice regarding what works well and what to stay away from. If you’re a music person and want to control every song that is played, he’d be more than happy to accommodate and the band is good enough to play any type of music you want. On the other hand, if you’ve never thought this much about music in your life, he is full of great suggestions and more than happy to take control of your wedding day playlist.

Jack Garrett and the Syndicate made our wedding so special and memorable. We wanted a classy, elegant, fun reception - and Jack and the band certainly made our night a dream come true!! It was amazing to see all of our guests out on the dance floor having such a great time dancing to everything from Sinatra to Aretha Franklin- and the band even played one of my favorites to surprise me, Glenn Miller's Moonlight Serenade! I will never forget that for the rest of my life!! Jack and Pam were so kind and caring and went way out of their way to make sure everything was beyond perfect for our big day. Our guests are still raving, 4 months later, about how talented Jack Garrett and the band are!!! My husband and I are so grateful for such wonderful memories with our families and friends!

My brother got married several years ago. When they were trying to decide between a band or a dj I stumbled across Jack's website and thought they sounded amazing.

Shortly after getting engaged five years later, my husband and I knew we wanted a band and I quickly did an Internet search for Jack's band. After listening to them again and playing them for my then fiancé and family we knew we were definitely going to hire them for the big day.

After booking them, Jack's assistant called up to set up a meeting. We met with Jack in person and quickly knew we had made the perfect choice. His suggestions, advice, and expertise blew us away. He has so many years of experience in this field as well as the entertainment field, which was very obvious and helpful.

After the in-person meeting I would receive two more calls from Jack. One a few weeks before the wedding to finalize things, and another the week prior to review everything and make sure I didn't have any other questions. He made us feel so at ease with the whole process and was extremely easy to work with.

The reception was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived until the very last song they put on the most INCREDIBLE performance. They had everyone (young and old!) out on the dance floor the whole night. So many friends and family members have been telling us how much fun they had and that the band was “the best they’ve ever heard”. We are still getting text messages and emails from friends and family asking us for the band’s name. The whole night went off without a hitch and that was completely due to Jack! He went out of his way to truly make sure the night was perfect.

If you are looking for a band who has a wide variety of song titles, a true passion for what they do, and will make your guests dance all night and have a blast then you should definitely hire Jack Garrett! Trust me!

UNREAL Talented Musicians and Performances

My husband and I wanted a band for our wedding, not just any band something that really showed our love for music. Other bands we looked at were too cheesy and couldn't play the eclectic music that we love. Jack Garrett and the Syndicate Band is top notch and went above and beyond our expectations. Jack is super helpful and really tunes in to what a bride and groom are looking for in reception music. Not only that, we can't say enough good things about the performances by Jack, Lady T, and the musicians. Lady T's voice is unbelievable and the musicians are some of the best we have ever heard. My guests are still talking about the sax player who came out on the dance floor and laid on the ground jamming out (absolutely crushing it): "Were we at a concert?!" was the response we received. They are everything and MORE you can ask for in not only a band to have play at a wedding but also a band to play at any type of event/venue. Thank you for making the night even more special than it already was.

I highly recommend Jack Garrett and the Syndicate ! They played at my daughter's wedding and had the dance floor rocking all night. They provided nice music during cocktail hour and dinner too! I had so many people tell me what a fun reception it was and they had never heard of better music before. It was everything and more than what I expected .

Do you want to throw a rocking dance party? Do you want your guests to start dancing before dinner is even served? Do you want your 96 year old grandmother out on the dance floor tearing it up with your 4 year old niece? Do you want the floor to be packed on every single song? You do? Then stop reading reviews and hire Jack Garrett.

Now, if you are reading this, you've already decided you don't want a DJ, but you might be thinking about a couple of different bands, and maybe Jack is more expensive than that other band you are looking at. But that other band is just two guitars, a bass, and a drummer. Nothing wrong with that, but it is going to limit what songs they can play and still sound good. Jack is going to bring a saxophone player, a keyboardist, two vocalists, and more. That greatly expands the range of songs that the band can play. I even saw one of his guys pull out a flute for one number. Will that other band bring a flute? I don't think so.

One other thing I'll say is that Jack is not going to tell you 100% what his playlist is ahead of time. He will take a lot of time to learn your likes and your dislikes, figure out what your music style is. But he's not going to commit to specific playlist. He wants to see how the crowd reacts and make adjustments on the fly. That made me a little nervous, but it turned out great. We loved every single song. Trust him, he knows what he's doing.

Jack was very helpful during our wedding planning. He has a lot of experience with receptions, and he knows how to structure the evening to keep things moving. He was incredibly responsive, calling us multiple times in the weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure everything was on track.

Of all of the wedding vendors we choose, Jack was the best decision we made.

PACKED DANCE FLOOR ALL NIGHT
As we began the process of choosing vendors … reception venue, cake, photographer, flowers, and a band to top off the evening … we spent countless hours doing research both online and talking to people. My son-in-law, a musician, wanted a top class band for the reception. James consistently found amazing reviews about Jack Garrett. Also, two of our other wedding vendors had done previous events with Jack and gave glowing reports. And so our decision was made.

To add to the stress of planning a wedding, it is worthwhile to note, I believe, that my daughter and her fiancé live out-of-state. On two different occasions, Jack took the time to speak at length with James on the phone to plan the perfect evening. Because of Jack’s background as an event planner, he came up with an agenda for the evening that our guests are still talking about!

After the church ceremony was over and we arrived at the reception venue, my stress level disappeared. Jack and his band were already playing the most beautiful background music as our guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers. The party had already started! And when Jack introduced the wedding party he was fabulous … hugely entertaining!

The members of the Jack Garrett Band are truly gifted musicians. Many have actually played with such greats as Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick Jr. It is important to Jack that his band members are top-notch. And they are!

The entire evening was storybook perfect and mostly because of the music. Have you ever attended a wedding (or other event) where the dance floor is crowded and then the band switches gears and all of a sudden the dance floor empties? That never happened! I mentioned this t

So first and somewhat most importantly, the quality and performance that the Jack Garrett Band provided at our August wedding was exceptional! They were so much fun- the dance floor was packed all night and they made our wedding so incredibly memorable. We had a number of friends and family comment on how great they were. My next goal is to convince all of our friends getting married to book them so that I can hear them again as a guest rather than a bride.

Second, Jack is a pro. His team/band members are amazing. Amazing talent!!

Third which was our MAJOR selling point- Jack has so much experience and offers so much advice to make the wedding "flow" that much better and more enjoyably. My entire wedding goal was to find wedding vendors I could trust and Jack was even more than that. We met with him a few times before the wedding- each so enjoyable. He provided great recommendations for our wedding timeline. My now husband and I loved the process of selecting our favorite songs for our wedding. And he made sure absolutely everything was perfect the day of! Jack and his incredible booking assistant, Pam Castle, and phenomenal dance band are all ultimate professionals in each of their respective roles for the coordination of our event AND in the performance for a truly lovely and memorable wedding reception for our daughter and her husband. Jack uses a thoroughly polished timeline for reception announcements, introductions and special dance arrangements. His group is delightful and delivered amazing sound and musical excitement for guests all evening. Jack is exceptionally polite, accommodating, thoughtful, and a true pleasure with whom to work. Jack Garrett and The Syndicate played at our daughter's wedding and they were fantastic!They set the mood and vibe for the entire night starting with the strings playing during cocktail hour, the intro of the wedding party, the couple's first dance, the father/daughter and mother/son dance and all the great songs that followed. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire evening and consistently told us how much they LOVED the band. It was so much fun and I still have friends comment on what a great time they had, best reception ever, best band ever! Hiring Jack Garrett and the Syndicate for our May wedding was one of the very best vendor decisions we made. It is no exaggeration to claim that Jack and his band are largely responsible for the fantastic night that we and our guests had. It is important to recognize that our gratitude towards Jack goes beyond just what he did for us that night, but extends all the way to the beginning when we were planning the wedding. Jack is a master at engaging an audience, and his advice on this matter was a driving force for a lot of the decisions that we made for the flow of the night. However, he was always sure to prioritize our hopes and wishes for the evening to make it work for everyone involved. For example, upon receiving our preferred song list, Jack was able to get a feel for what sort of party we wanted to have, and was able to put together the perfect set list to keep our guests dancing all the way until midnight! Jack was also very accommodating when it came to more specific/less traditional requests. For example, we really wanted live music playing during our cocktail reception between the ceremony and dinner, and he helped us identify the ideal musicians for the occasion. Jack is a truly kind, original, and talented gentleman, and our wedding would not have been the same without him. Nothing made this more apparent than when so many very close friends of ours said that they could only hope to have such a fun and memorable band when their special day comes around.

There are simply no words to describe just how great Jack Garrett and his band are. We recently had the 11 piece group play at our wedding and they were nothing short of amazing. He is very confident in his band and what they can provide, and that confidence is well deserved. Throughout the night our guests were coming up to us telling us how great the band was and a few friends have even asked for their contact information so they can use them at their upcoming weddings. Jack was a great listener and truly took to heart the vibe we wanted to have at our reception. There wasn't a single song played all night that we (& our guests) didn't absolutely love! Jack is also more than just the leader of a band. He was very helpful in guiding us through the timeline of our reception ensuring that we created a great flow throughout the entire evening. Jack is the real deal and is worth every penny you spend. If there is one thing you are considering stretching your budget for, make it Jack Garrett! A pleasure to work with & hopefully we will get to see him at some friends weddings in the future!

This was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made. Before meeting with Jack I had no idea what needed to be done for the wedding. No timeline, no songs, nothing. After our first meeting I felt like we really had it all worked out. We took our time and chose a first dance song that Jack was able to customize just for us. Fast forward to the wedding: Holy cow! I had NO idea how amazing the band would sound in the Hall of Mirrors! The mix of modern and classic dance music was perfect for us, and the band really filled the room and got guests out of their seats and on the dance floor. Everyone was having a blast, and Jack was really great at including the songs we wanted to hear. Absolutely the best choice in Cincinnati. We truly put together a dream team for our wedding, and it wouldn't have been complete without these guys.

It’s been a few months since our wedding, and people are still talking about our wedding reception band: Jack Garrett and The Syndicate. Our 5/9/15 event was greatly enhanced because of the music. Jack is an excellent MC--very prepared and professional. We had the 12 piece band and they had the perfect mix of vocals, brass, percussion, piano, etc. Our reception space was a bit unique, and the band prepared ahead of time to make sure the setup and sound would be fantastic. The music during the cocktail hour and dinner set the mood well. When the crowd started dancing, the band was fabulous. Especially on songs that utilized the whole band like "Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is?" They played everything from standards to contemporary music, and they read the crowd really well to make it a one-of-a-kind event for us and our guests. We have no regrets and highly recommend them, worth every penny and more. Where our reception venue took the attitude "things go wrong on your wedding day" Jack and the band made up for it and went above and beyond to make sure everything was what we had hoped for and more. He even worked with my (now husband) to prepare a special surprise for me during the reception, as well as play a song for my parents. My husband is a musician and can be very (picky) with music, Jack and the group lived up to and exceeded every expectation. Years to come when we look back, Jack Garrett and the Syndicate will be without a doubt one of our top memories. Thank you Jack!

Jack and his band played at our recent wedding reception in May 2015 andy they were dynamic! What a fantastic sound! Jack and his team are so talented and professional. We received so many compliments from our guests! We had a few musicians play during cocktail hour and they did an excellent job. From the beginning Jack has been nothing but gracious and wonderful to work with. The band sound is AMAZING - it made the reception hall come alive and the songs they played kept our guests on their feet the whole night. What an exceptional way to celebrate our big day!!

Jack was an incredible part of our wedding - we have received so many compliments on the band from both our younger and older guests. Jack met with us many times throughout our planning process, and definitely was the most involved of all our vendors. He worked hard to make sure he understand every detail, from how we wanted to be introduced to the last song of the night. I would recommend to anyone!

I really cannot put into words just how fabulous and professional Jack Garrett was. He made the wedding magical! Jack met with me several times to make sure my vision for the wedding music was going to come true. We used Jack for the cocktail hour as a small group and then the full band for the reception. Everyone was on the dance floor at the end! In fact we had bus issues because everyone stayed and partied! I wanted a classic, high end sound. Our family likes Frank, Dean, and songs we know the words to! Jack listened intently at every meeting and phone call and it was perfection.

In addition, Jack arranged the string quartet for the service. Again, perfection.

Amazing, wonderful, engaging, are just a few of the words to describe The Jack Garrett Band! We hired them over two years ago for our daughter’s wedding that was just a week ago. Our decision to hire them was definitely the right one. The huge dance floor was packed the whole night once the dancing began. We had so many compliments on the band and we had numerous requests for their name for possible future events. Jack is a true “showman” and knows his stuff! We had hired a separate wedding planner but Jack is one himself when it comes to music and how and when to play certain songs and how to make the flow and timeline of the wedding run the smoothest! The musicians were terrific! Very talented and displayed a love for what they do. My only regret is that the night flew by because of all the fun! Trust me, they are worth every penny! Would hire them again without a doubt! Definitely a five star band with a lot of class and showmanship!

Where to start? Amy and I decided from the very beginning that we wanted people to have fun - that was the most important aspect of our reception. With that, we wanted to invest in an open bar and an exceptional band. With Jack Garrett, we got a beyond exceptional band. From the get go, Jack was very impressive. His attention to detail in the planning process was excellent. He drove to Lexington, Kentucky several months before the wedding to meet us. We then had many telephone conferences and emails discussing our big day because he wanted to ensure it was perfect. At the reception, Jack and his band were stunning. They sounded great. They looked great. They played a wide variety of music and not a song went "undanced." Even after the wedding, Jack has stayed in contact to ensure we were satisfied. I'm big on customer service; Jack excels at making sure you're happy. We continue to get compliments on how great our band was. If you're looking for a reliable, quality, classy band, don't hesitate to book Jack Garrett. They're worth every penny.

We're honestly so so grateful for what Jack did on our wedding day. He
was absolutely perfect and completely exceeded our expectations
as to what a wedding band could be like. From the moment we heard the
band playing Earth Wind and Fire while we were waiting to enter the
tent, to Jack announcing the wedding party, to introducing everyone who
made a toast/speech and finally while everyone was on the dance floor,
it was perfect. No, it was beyond perfect - the guys were phenomenal.

Throughout the entire process from start to finish, they were helpful, friendly, professional and kind. We loved planning our day with Jack. He stepped up right where we needed him to in the planning process.

On the day, he did exactly what we needed. Played a massive range of music, that catered to a HUGE audience of different ages, tastes and backgrounds. People didn't stop dancing from the moment after we played our first dance song, until the late hours of the night.

Through out the evening and still today we're receiving messages about
Jack and the band (almost more than the messages about the WEDDING

Jack Garrett blew us away! I am a professional musician and I have a wedding band in the Boston area. I know weddings; and I know bands. Jack and his band were absolutely exceptional! Not only did they sound fantastic, but Jack's knowledge of weddings and event planning made the whole process extremely easy and perfectly flawless. He even brought extra musicians as an added touch!!

I can't tell you how many people have commented to me about how great the band was.

Many people, including myself, also got a chance to talk to some of the musicians and they were great to chat with. Top notch guys. Theresa blew the roof off. We loved so many songs...actually, EVERY song. Not a single song was lackluster. Every selection was perfect. So many people who we didn't expect to dance DANCED! Jack had a tall order as we like an eclectic mix of 1940's-2000's and they nailed it!

I also am so impressed with the flow of the wedding. Everything ran smoothly, all of the transitions were flawless. A truly magical experience.

Jack gave us a lot of good ideas on the how to make the program flow so fun and exciting! He was very professional and classy. Our guests really had a good time at the party because of the this amazing band, they played really good song playlists. Jack even suggested Filipino songs for my guests and he accommodated the songs that we requested. Everyone really had a good time! Jack Garrett was the best investment for the wedding party!

If you want a fun, classy, and dancing reception, you can’t do better than Jack Garrett and the Syndicate. Jack is a consummate professional that will help tailor your reception to your tastes. Because of his tremendous experience, he also brings some innovate ideas and the ability to read and adapt to your guests so you can kick back and enjoy the evening. As one example, at our reception, Jack brought the house down with a slow jam of “Ice, Ice Baby.” Unbelievable! Once he popped the top with the dance music, we had folks dancing from 20-somethings to nonagenarians. I honestly can’t say enough (nor could our guests) about how pleased we were with the performance of Jack, Teresa, and the rest of the band. SUPERB! Jack Garrett & team wowed us from the first time we heard them on their website. All of our communication with Jack & Pam was professional and even enjoyable! I looked forward to our meetings with Jack @ Panera as we planned out the details of our reception, because he is just that neat of a guy. It is clear that he loves what he does, and he knows how to keep the focus on what it is that the bride & groom want for their wedding. Jack had so many ideas to help our reception flow smoothly and to focus our guests' attention. The band learned "As Time Goes By" for our first dance. They also learned another song to back up my husband as HE sang to his mom during the groom/mother dance. I mean really, they were so accommodating and so much fun to work with.

We had a trio for cocktails, full band for the majority of the reception, and then DJ tunes for the last hour (since we had a 6-hour reception). Jack & team not only performed beautiful music from many genres & eras, they also kept up the energy and excitement all night long. They know how to read a crowd & work the room! My husband says he has never danced so much in one night - ever!

Rumor has it that Jack Garrett may be teaming up with a venue to host a dinner/dance in February 2015. If they do, we will make the trip down to Chicago just for that - that's how badly we want to go to another Jack Garrett party!

At our first meeting with Jack, we knew we were in good hands; it was just that obvious. Prior to the wedding, we had two face to face meetings at the venue, a couple conference calls and several emails back and forth for the purpose of music selection. His attention to detail was genuine and spot on. As for the music... It was phenominal! Everyone was blown away. He gave us all we asked for, and more. He also did a great job of managing the tempo of the reception. It was absolutelty perfect and Jack is so personable. He just puts out a good vibe. We received compliments all night long. Everyone had fun and our guests really enjoyed being treated to live music of such high quality. This is the band to book! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

As the father of the bride of a recent wedding, I feel compelled to write a review of this band. During the beginning stages of wedding planning, I was focused on two things – the venue and caterer. We ended up reserving Pinecroft with Funky’s catering as our choice (fabulous choice, separate review). Once this decision was made, I left the planning to my wife and daughter. From this point, I was primarily concerned about the budget… completely oblivious as to the impact the entertainment may have on the reception.

Long story short, I was convinced by my daughter that a band was important to make the reception ‘an event’. My daughter and now son-in-law selected Jack Garrett and his band for the reception. Now a full week after the wedding, I am still on an adrenaline high on how well the wedding went including the reception.

Jack told me while he was setting up before the wedding that this was not an ordinary wedding band, and wow, he was so correct. First off, Jack MC’d the entire reception – everything from introducing the wedding party and first dance to the sparkler exit of the bride and groom…everything throughout the course of the night. He does such a fabulous job, very professional yet fun… not at all ‘cheesy’. Once the band started playing, it was magical. It felt like the setting of an expensive jazz club. The musicians (all who have backgrounds touring with legendary stars) were phenomenal. Jack is a great singer and the female singer is unbelievable as well. They played all types of music per our selections and tons of people were on the dance floor the entire evening.
The main reason I am writing is that in hindsight, I would have made the music for the reception a much higher priority… not something to help meet the budget as I had been thinking. Luckily for me, everyone convinced me that Jack Garrett and his band was the right choice for our wedding and boy were they right. Jack and his band were fabulous!!!

Just a quick note to say thanks to Jack Garrett and his band for making my daughter's wedding a night to remember. We were so blessed to have such a great weather day for an outdoor wedding and the reception was out of this world thanks to Jack and his band. Jack Garrett and The Syndicate were one of the highlights of our daughter's wedding. A big band sound, with professional musicians, who love what they do, performing great music, and entertaining.
Jack guided us through the process and details of having a schedule and timeline for the reception, so that the couple, family and friends could celebrate in incomparable style. We loved the maturity and depth of accomplished musicians. The band also showcased the performance of the bride's close friend during the reception. Jack went above and beyond our expectations. He was fantastic to work with and provided so much insight into our planning and making the coordination of the day go smoothly. Knowing how busy Jack is throughout the year (we booked the last open date of 2014) his attention and focus on our wedding made us feel like we were his only client. This doesn't even begin to touch on the band's performance on our wedding day.

The samples you hear on his website, while they are wonderful and one of the many reasons I chose to book Jack Garrett and The Syndicate, the samples are nothing to the live performance. Jack made sure to provide a continual increase in energy to the night and was able to build off of the moods and reactions of our guests - all while the band remained completely in sync. This extremely talented group of gentlemen and Theresa blew all of our guests away, making the dance floor impossible to leave, even my 86 year old grandmother was out there! The band was even able to support a surprise performance by my best friend, with no practice prior to the event - a feat in and of itself.

An outstanding band was my Number 1 priority for our wedding. Really, all you need are these guys and a dance floor - forget the flowers and the food.

I must admit that I was a picky bride and had very high expectations. Jack Garrett and The Syndicate absolutely blew me away! During the planning process Jack helped my husband and I come up with a very detailed timeline and even helped with cool photo op ideas! We decided to add Teresa as an addition vocalist and could not have been happier! They are magical together! Jack Garrett and his band are able to create a classy and fun environment for people of all ages! Our guests were beyond impressed! The dance floor was packed all night and even my older guests were tapping their toes and enjoying the music! It was important to us to provide an experience that everyone would enjoy and they went above and beyond what we expected! I would highly recommend this band to anyone! Trust me...you will not regret it! We absolutely loved dancing the night away as Mr. and Mrs. Jack, thank you for helping to create an evening that we will remember for the rest of our lives! These guys were amazing. I've chaired many charity and corporate events over the last forty years, most of which included music so I am no stranger to booking and working with bands. Jack Garrett is a total professional - what you see and hear on his web-site is truly what you get and more. We had considered saving money and hiring a DJ, but for my only daughter's wedding I wanted to splurge on a great live band and it was worth every cent. Jack worked closely with my daughter, son-in-law and the wedding coordinator choosing a long play (and don't play) list and developing a solid script for the evening - his advice and insights were invaluable. More than that, Jack and his band have the innate ability to "read" the moods of the room and play just the right music to electrify our guests and keep the party going. I was also very impressed that they played long sets and took very short breaks (filling the breaks with appropriate recorded music). In my experience this is quite rare....many bands seem to play for 20 minutes, then take a 25 minute break....Not Jack!
I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to book them again.

Jack Garrett and the Syndicate played at our wedding in May. My #1 goal for the wedding was for people to have fun and dance. To me, the band was the most important aspect of the wedding. And Jack Garrett delivered! Everyone, I mean everyone, was dancing for hours on the dance floor. We even extended the party a half hour because everyone was having such a ball. Jack kindly offered to stay and continue to DJ as well. I got so many compliments on the band from friends to grandmothers. Jack Garrett and the Syndicate had such a range and were able to play classics like Sinatra and also more modern stuff like Pharrell's "happy". We will admit, we splurged on the band. We were having a vintage style wedding. I am a wedding photographer, so I knew the difference between a good wedding band and a great one. We found Jack Garrett online and after seeing a few video clips, we knew he was the band to beat.

After our first conference call, we knew he would cost a little more than we had planned, but we knew he was going to be worth it. It was the best money we have ever spent. Seriously. Jack and his amazing band of talented musicians were so good, so fun, so cool and provided the perfect entertainment for our wedding.

But above all, is Jack. We finally met Jack in person about 6 months before the wedding and just fell in love with him. He totally got us and knew what we wanted. I had a special tribute I wanted to do for my father and asked Jack if he could play an MP3 of a song my dad wrote and recorded in 1966 to surprise him and after listening to the song, Jack did not hesitate to say, 'I am going to teach this to my band and we are going to perform this live for your dad". Needless to say, it was one of the highlights of the night and blew my dad away.

His female vocalist Theresa was tremendous and did such a beautiful job with our first dance (Sade, By Your Side) as well as my dad's song. The whole band was amazing and Jack had a great feel for the guests and when to get everyone up and when to cool it down for toasts. He even let the groom join the band playing harmonica, which was another amazing highlight for me.

We decided not to hire a videographer and knew we would have friends capture some moments on their phones, but 3 weeks later Jack suddenly lets me know he has it all on video. and is now posting these incredible memories online and I am just giddy watching them.

Many of our friends and family are musicians. We have heard nothing but rave reviews from all of them on how good this band is. Well worth the money. Jack made the night perfect.

From the moment you visit Jack Garrett's website you will know this is the band for you. Jack is 100% professional, all class, and incredibly talented... Along with every member of his band he brings along. Luckily, my husband and I had the pleasure of Jack and an 11 piece band for our wedding on 2/22/14. We met with him a few times before the wedding to determine the schedule, our song lists and he had fabulous ideas for song choices and scheduling. He customized the song list to exactly what we wanted and we had the option to say no requests (which was what my husband and I wanted). I have to say, my wedding was absolutely perfect due to Jack and his band. Not only was their execution, preparation and attention to detail exceptional, their willingness to deal with out of the box situations surpassed any and all expectations. I can't thank Jack enough for his professionalism and most MOST certainly most important - his excitement for my event. So many vendors are blase since they have most likely been there done that more than 100 times. Every time with Jack and Pam is like their first time...its like your wedding is their first wedding. That enthusiasm encourages and motivates everyone involved.

My now husband and I knew that a band was one area we wanted to splurge on because music is important to us and our venue (Coney Island at Moonlight Gardens) was made for a big band. We hit if off with Jack immediately during our first meeting. He was really upbeat and listened to us while still using his expertise and knowledge to lead us through the ins and outs. One of the perks of using Jack is that he provides a tentative schedule to keep the night flowing - and trust me it flies by so you need this!!! Jack and the band kept our reception hopping from the cocktail hour through the last song. He played a nice mixture of Frank Sinatra type music and more recent dance tunes. We had a pretty young wedding crowd and the dance floor was not empty for a minute! EVERY guest that has seen us since the wedding had told us we had the best, most fun wedding they've ever been to! And everyone attributed this to the band and the venue. Moreover, Jack and his band composed and played a very special Dave Matthews song for our first dance, which I know meant the world to my husband. If you want a band/DJ and MC that knows when to pick up the pace, slow it down, read the crowd, is classy, has an amazing sound, and is affordable, punctual, and professional then look no further!!

I used Jack Garrett and The Syndicate for my wedding on August 10, 2013. Jack was helpful and involved from the start, helping us pick our music, decide on the order of events, and determine what we wanted the overall feel of the night to be. I wish words could express how amazing Jack and his band were on the night of the wedding. The music was abosultely fabulous, and people were dancing all night long. After the wedding, every person I spoke to said that the band was by far the best part of the evening. My dad (the father of the bride) said that he wants to host another party just so he can hire Jack and his band again, and is already insisting my brothers (ages 17 and 19) use Jack for their weddings. I cannot recommend Jack enough. He made my wedding an incredible, beautiful and memorable experience, and I would absolutely hire him again.

Asking Jack Garrett and the Syndicate to play at our June 22 wedding reception was one of the best decisions we made! From start to finish, the dance floor was packed and full of excitement and anticipation as to what this talented group of musicians would play next. The band played a variety of styles such as big band, jazz, swing, rock n roll and oldies. When my husband wanted a particular song for the mother son dance, Jack had the score written and sang what became the most memorable song of the evening. He then sent us the YouTube videos of our first dance, father daughter and mother son dance while we were on our honeymoon. That is one of the many examples of the quality of service that he provides.

Jack was wonderful for our wedding on June 8th. We had a large wedding reception of 300 people. Jack sang and deejayed for us that evening. Jack was great in the planning process, helping me come up with a timeline and a flow for the evening. He brought up points that I wouldn't have even thought about that made the day run so smoothly.

So many people came up to me during and after the wedding complimenting Jack's singing. I wanted something more than just a dj, and Jack brought that personal touch along with the fun dance songs for the evening. I loved how it surprised our guests that our dj sang. He didn't sing until it was our first dance, and that surprise element was fantastic.

Jack catered to all of mine and my husband's needs and wants. He learned a song that was important to us and sang it that evening. He kept the dancing going and could read the crowd so well.

I would HIGHLY recommend having Jack at your wedding. He not only makes your day special but also helps you before hand so you know what to expect. I can't say enough good things about Jack and our experience. He definirtey made our wedding all the better and really made it an event that people are still talking about.

As the mother of the bride, my husband and I naturally wanted to fulfill every detail on our bride & groom’s wish list in regards to music and entertainment. Jack not only accomplished every detail, he surpassed our expectations with his professionalism and talent. From our first meeting with Jack when we shared our vision of the reception, the excitement of the wedding day started to build. Jack listened, asked questions, took notes, offered suggestions, did some research, met with the bride and groom and created a customized plan for their event. On paper, everything looked great; in real life, everything was spectacular!
Our guests entered the reception with smiles that changed to expressions of wonder and surprise as Jack’s singing voice welcomed them into the event. Jack coordinated one of my most memorable nights of my life. His attention to detail throughout the planning sessions, weeks leading up to the big day, and our wedding night were so greatly appreciated. Jack put just as much thought, time, patience, and dedication into planning this night as I did, perhaps more! It was great to see our family join together on the dance floor and enjoy the evening! Possibly the most memorable was the song choice Jack chose for the dance of the groom and grooms mother; "I wish you love." My mother-in-law still sings verses of that song! There is no doubt that Jack and the guys deserved to win The Knot awards - their professionalism and years of experience certainly show through. Since Jack took the time to get to know my husband and I, our vision, our likes and dislikes, I felt very comfortable that Jack would take care of us and our family during the reception - and he did. I couldn't be more thankful or happier. For our anniversary, Jack made us a wonderful DVD of our entrance into the reception room and our first few dances. It was a perfect way to relive the evening!

My most important review point is this - contact Jack Garrett now! What an amazing group of musicians he and The Syndicate are. Simply wow! Jack made our celebration fun, classy and beautiful. His version of "Wonderful Tonight" is stunning, and all I can say is what a way to end the evening! Jack and the guys (plus his wonderful assistant Pam) were easy to communicate with, extremely professional and provided an incredible amount of fun at our wedding reception. Jack learned the song we wished to dance to for our first dance and then played it live ... just for us ... and it was great!! There's a reason Jack has so many rave reviews. I found Jack Garrett through my searches on wedding websites and the reviews that he was given. I then took a spin on his website and was even more impressed with the quality of his art! I have a music background (as do many in my family), so it was important to me to have the best - and I did!!
Not only did Jack give a great performance but -
Being my first wedding, I didn't have a lot of background information on how everything was supposed to flow. I didn't want to hire a planner, and I didn't have to! Jack helped me plan the agenda for the evening!
We took an hour and discussed everything that would happen from the time we said "I do" until the very last dance and exit. He was more than the wedding singer for our wedding - he was more like the glue that stuck everything together perfectly! I'd hire him again and recommend his work to those looking for a classy wedding reception.

My husband and I found ourselves in a hard position where the band that we had planned to use for over a year fell through a week before our wedding. We found Jack’s band by happenstance when we googled ‘Cincinnati Wedding Band.’ Despite it being nerve wrecking to find a vendor just through the internet, we fell in love with his voice the moment we played their version of ‘Ice, Ice Baby’ on their website. After sending an initial email, we found out that they were booked solid, but since our wedding was on a Sunday they were available for our night.

From the first moment we spoke on the phone they were timely, diligent and on top of any issue or concern we had. Jack called and pulled all of his A-list players and created an unforgettable, perfect night for us. This is a testament to his professionalism - that he could pull together such a spectacular night with just one week to plan. He provided everything that we had with our original band and then surpassed it. Jack is a great asset and we wish would have known about him sooner.

The dance floor was never empty and when we got our photos back from our photographer, everyone is grinning ear to ear. The music was never too loud and conversation was easy to have during dinner. Today, we still receive many compliments from guest about the music and how much fun they had at our wedding.

If you are looking for a band for a special event, do not look any further. You will not get any better than this and you will never regret making this decision. Jack is honest and we did not have one bad experience, conversation or issue with them before, during or after our wedding. It should tell you something that we look forward to his performances in town. That’s how good they are. That is how good they will leave you and your guests feeling during and after your party - which is really all that you hope to do. We are so happy we found them, even if it was from happenstance. We just chuckle and say that it was just meant to be.

Jack Garrett stepped up with only two weeks to go till the wedding when we had a problem with the first band. Jack was calm and cool from the get-go and we knew our wedding had literally been saved. He offered a ton of fresh ideas for our reception, meticulously planned every song, dance, sequence and MC event, provided the pianist and sound equipment for the ceremony, a trio for our waiting hour, played every song we requested, and assembled a super-star band of local and national jazz legends, with almost no time to work with. He even let me sit in on a song. I could not be happier with Jack, his band, or how the wedding went. Jack is a consummate professional and his services are worth much more than he charges. My wife and I have started attending his monthly concerts, as it is a rare pleasure to hear talented big bands anymore. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants a classy, professional and kicking band in their wedding.

As much as you wish to believe it's the guests, venue or even yourself that will make your reception run smoothly it is simply not true! The man with the microphone is picking the songs, cuing the toasts and setting the mood for the whole event. Jack Garrett and his band were unbelievable but not only that his experience and professionalism, his overall preparation and homework he did for the day was amazing. He was an absolute superstar and I have received so many compliments from all the guests in attendance. I won't be throwing any party with out Jack. I highly highly recommend him! Thanks again Jack.

Asking Jack Garrett and the Syndicate to play at our wedding reception was one of the best decisions we made! The band was full of excellent musicians capable of playing a wide variety of styles, with particular expertise in big band, swing, jazz, old rock n roll. But more than that, Jack knew exactly how to please our guests. From start to finish the dancefloor was packed and full of energy, and after our wedding every guest we spoke to had nothing but praise for Jack and the band.

Jack was also very easy to deal with in the run up to our wedding. He was enthusiastic and happy to accommodate any ideas we had when we met with him. Jack also gave us lots of advice regarding the timeline of the wedding reception based upon his previous experience, which was also very valuable to us.

If you're looking for a band to play at your wedding, and want to be able to relax when it comes to the reception and know that the party is in good hands, I couldn't recommend Jack Garrett any more.

We made the perfect decision hiring Jack Garrett. Five Stars are not enough to describe this fabulous band. Several members of our family are classically trained musicians and we had high expectations for the music for the wedding of our only daughter. In addition, the bride and groom love to dance and dreamed of dancing their night away to big band music. Jack Garrett surpassed by ten-fold everything we all wanted. Jack’s voice and personality provided an amazing mood for this wedding - move over Michael Bublé. The band members were incredible. We were blown away by the caliber of talent of each member of the Syndicate, his 10-piece orchestra. They played the music WE wanted to hear and had a great repertoire from which to choose our selections. He took charge of the reception so that everything ran smoothly. His sound equipment is of high quality. They sound even better in person than the recordings online (speaking of online – check out “Ice Ice Baby” (word to your mother)! The floor was packed all evening. I wish we had a CD. We will attend his public performances in the future.

Jack and his band performed for our daughter's wedding. Not only did his band play live music, he is also a DJ and MC. He kept the time frame moving so all events were on time. He walked among our quests during dinner and sang. All the guests were amazed, they thought it was "canned" music, until he came by. Several mouths dropped open when he came by their table. He was excellent! The attention to detail is great. You get to choose every song, played, performed or sung. Dad did not want to spend the money, but will testify today it "made the reception". A fantastic value, people will think you spent so much more!

Jack was a delight to work with. He spent a lot of time with the bridal couple to understand the theme of the wedding and select the music. He kept the tempo of the reception on track and the dance floor full all evening. My husband and I are musicians, so one of the biggest wedding priorities for us was having great live music at our reception. Luckily, we found Jack Garrett and his fabulous band! This group of amazing musicians provided wonderful music for the entire evening, from jazz standards and Sinatra classics to ballads and swing tunes and wedding favorites! Our guests from all generations loved the professional caliber of the group and spent the evening dancing and enjoying the talents of the fine musicians. From the beginning of our interactions, Jack was extremely professional and very friendly. Jack made our meetings very convenient by being flexible with his schedule and driving to meet us in Cincinnati. We met twice to discuss an itinerary for the evening and also to talk about song lists and Jack was very thorough in following-up to make sure our evening would go as smoothly as possible. Jack has extensive experience with weddings, and his advice and suggestions were extremely appreciated. He helped us so much with organization and timing - and his personality was such a joy to have as part of our wedding. Jack went above and beyond for us with the music. He had an arrangement of our favorite song written for his band so we could have a live version for our first dance, and it was perfect. Jack's band provided a fun duo jazz combo for our cocktail hour and played some laid back tunes during dinner, then broke the dance floor open with "In the Mood" after our toasts. Guests are still telling me how much they loved the music (truly professional - sounds like all the recordings!!), and the floor was full for the entire evening. Even some guests who were unable to dance stayed until the end of the night just to enjoy the amazing group, headed by Jack's vocals. When I think of our wedding night, I think of how perfect it was because Jack and his musicians were there. Bottom line: Jack will work with you to design a beautiful evening. He is friendly, organized, charismatic, and extremely talented as a vocalist and band leader. You and your guests won't ever forget Crooner Jack and his fabulous musicians!

Jack and the Swinging Stars (10-piece band) played at our wedding reception in Toledo OH in October 2010, and they exceeded our expectations. The band was enjoyed by guests of all ages. They were classy during dinner, and brought a great level of energy as the night progressed.

In addition to great music, Jack met with us to help plan a wonderful reception. After our meeting, he sent a full reception schedule which proved to be very helpful. Jack also provided DJ services during the bands few short breaks, and he was a great Emcee for the evening.

Jack goes above and beyond the call of duty. Not only was he willing to accommodate our idiosyncrasies (e.g. special song requests, trivia games, wedding party announcements), but he made sure that he did it with professionalism and perfection. I wanted a classic Sinatra/Bobby Darin/swing sound to the music during the reception, and he did this to perfection- our guests loved it. He also included some renditions of modern music that really entertained our younger guests. Making sure our wedding (ceremony AND reception) ran well was his main priority. He met with us twice. The first time we met was so that we could get a frame of events. The second time we met was so that he could get all the details perfectly. I didn't have to worry about a thing, and we received many compliments from the guests about the music. He travels and is very reasonably priced...

Jack Garrett and his band made our wedding reception! His musicians are very high caliber and Jack paced the music so the dance floor was full all night long. They sounded so good that they even had people up and dancing during the dinner hour! Jack was great in the planning stages and met with my husband and I multiple times to custom tailor our night. He planned the evening with us beforehand and then acted as MC, vocalist, band leader, and also DJ the night of. Jack even had a song arranged for his band for our first dance that they'd never heard before, and he and the band played it perfectly. We felt very comfortable that he had everything under control, so we were able to relax and enjoy our night. We got so many compliments on the music the next morning! I can't recommend Jack and his band enough if you want live music for your reception. You won't be disappointed.

Jack Garrett and his band were exactly what we wanted for our wedding reception. He kept our guest entertained and dancing for the entire night-in fact he even had to help us kick people out at the end of the party! Jack was great at knowing our guest and played music that kept the dance floor full. Everyone, from our great aunt to our young cousins enjoyed what Jack had to offer. What I am most grateful for is how professional he was throughout the entire planning phase before our wedding. He was certain to meet with us in person multiple times so that he could really get to know us and what it was we were looking for. He also eliminated the need for a wedding coordinator for the wedding reception as he had everything in control. This was great as it kept me from worring and allowed me to just enjoy the moment. Jack Garrett and his band were an absolutely wonderful part of our wedding. Jack went above and beyond the usual services of a DJ/band leader. He drove out to my family's home twice before our wedding, and was meticulous about organizing our reception (i.e. announcing the bridal party/bride & groom into the reception, finalizing our song list, choosing our first dance song, etc.). Jack won't only serve as your DJ/band leader, but also as your wedding planner!

And the music was FABULOUS. We had countless compliments throughout the night from guests. Their instruments and Jack's vocals sounded even better than on CD. The live music was definitely one of the best parts of our wedding. I would highly recommend Jack & his band to any other bride!

We lucked out. All of our vendors were great but Jack and the Band were unbelievable. We wanted a band that everyone could enjoy, young and old alike. Jack Delivered. It was more than we had expected. Jack was extremely professional and we were able to enjoy our day as Jack kept everything on schedule and gave us cues to do all the stuff that you have to do at a reception�cut cake, first dance, father daughter dance, etc. You�d be surprised how when you�re being pulled in many different directions these things can slip your mind. Jack kept it all on track.

The music was AWESOME! Everyone loved the band which was professional and, dare I say, groovy! Everyone was dancing and he created exactly the mood we were looking for, more like a laid back cocktail hour. We were told by several people that our reception was the most fun one they had attended, due in no small part to the excellent band. We would like to thank Jack for the hours he put in before the wedding reception, for assembling a great band, and making our special day even more special with great music and lasting memories. I cannot say enough about Jack Garrett & his crew!! We had a hard time figuring out what to do when we first booked our morning wedding and our afternoon reception music. We weren't sure if our guests would appreciate the traditional hokey "DJ" but we didn't want just a boring little trio playing background music. Jack made our reception a success!! He offered all the wonderful Jazz standards that my husband and I love so much but yet we had the ability to use the DJ for our current pop guilty pleasures! He even learned a new song for our first dance (Frank Sinatra's "Love is Here to Stay", perfect! It was the trio's first time playing it together, and it was PERFECT!!). All of our guests had an amazing time at the reception! Jack also provided as the "MC" so neither my husband or I were stressed about what came next and the flow of the reception. He was so professional! He met with us about 3 times to talk about our vision for the day, our fav. songs (and the "no-plays") and the order of dances, cutting the cake and special dances to include. He really cared about getting to know us and cared about giving us the reception of our dreams. He is very professional, flexible and very knowledgable about "what works". I think it was a little strange for him to host the "afternoon reception" but I can only imagine what he can do for a nighttime extravaganza! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Jack Garrett was our favorite vendor! We met with him twice before our reception to plan and go over the music. He was easy to work with and very helpful with ideas and tips. The band was great and the dance floor was full most of the night. Several of our guests asked where we found him. We had a four piece band (piano, bass, drums & sax) with Jack and a dj. Everyone had a great time. Having really good entertainment was important to us. We would highly recommend them.

Jack was great. He was the vocalist and we also had him bring a 3 piece band with him. Jack was easy to work with and is an expert at weddings! One of the reasons we choose him was because I wanted a live band and my husband wanted a DJ to make sure all our guests were dancing and having a good time. Jack Garrett provides both a live band and DJ equipment that he uses together. The night flowed so well and everyone had a great time. He appealed to our older crowd and our friends in their 20s. Jack really worked the crowd and got everyone involved during dinner. Jack and his trio sounded fantastic and we are so glad we went with them.

Jack Garrett and his band were an excellent choice for our wedding. During planning, Jack and his assistant were prompt and thorough responding to emails. Jack listened and asked a lot of questions while designing the timeline and learning about our music preferences, so that the reception was tailored to our and our guests' styles. I liked that Jack put a lot of focus on the guests during planning because really a reception is given for the guests to enjoy - it's not only about the bride and groom. At the reception, Jack provided a trio of musicians during cocktail hour, live music during dinner, and live music for dancing, with DJ service during breaks. The music was wonderful all night, and the band added so much energy to the event. All of our guests commented on how fun it was to have a live band, and the dance floor stayed packed until the very last song. In fact, people didn't want to leave when it was over! I highly recommend Jack Garrett and his musicians to any bride and groom looking for a live band for their reception.

Jack Garrett and the Syndicate put on a fantastic show for our reception. They are the utmost professionals, extremely talented musicians, and know how to get a party going. There were able to put together a seamless reception with appropriate music selection for the activity at hand and were even able to DJ portions of the night for “club” style songs.

From the Grooms perspective, I was very happy with our choice to let Jack handle all of our music needs.

As the mother of the bride, I wanted my daughters wedding to be perfect. Jack Garrett and the Syndicate were a huge part of making our night beautiful Jack and Theresa have beautiful voices, and the musicians were truly amazing! The dance floor was full all night, and Jack kept the energy going until the end. I would highly recommend Jack Garrett and the Syndicate to anyone wishing for the perfect band for your wedding!

Jack Garrett Productions is the complete package. From the beginning we needed someone dedicated and experienced. We were married at the Contemporary Arts Center, using 2 floors for the whole night. Jack came up with a plan to work between the 2 floors flawlessly. He wirelessly worked the upstairs with a DJ-type setup, and used the downstairs space for the band. It was perfect! He met with us not once, but three times, to discuss music, see the spaces, and nail down the details. he was also extremely involved through email. I can't speak enough good things about his dedication to making your wedding successful.

He listened to our ideas and made sure our wedding would represent us. Jack acted as coordinator, emcee, singer/bandleader, pretty much everything! He entertained with ease and my guests really enjoyed the live music, as well as being able to hear their favorites with the DJ. We used a lot of our favorite music for the dinner and ceremony, which he, again, really listened to our ideas. From the beginning to the end, Jack was involved, caring, and dedicated to making sure our big night went smoothly so we could enjoy it. I cannot say enough great things about Jack. BOOK HIM NOW. You will never grow tired of the positive feedback you get from having Jack involved in your wedding.

Everyone at my wedding was so impressed with the band! It made the whole feel of the wedding very classy and fun. Sometimes it is hard to dance to live music but this band makes it easy. They were also very flexible with my fiance and me because we wanted something different from the norm. We were very happy with the wedding day! It was so fun dancing our first dance with live msuic. This band made the whole day awesome!

Jack Garrett and the Syndicate were awesome! We had 2 musicians perform during the cocktail hour and a 10-piece band with 3 singers for the reception. Jack deejayed during band breaks. We met with Jack twice before the wedding to go over song selections and our vision of the evening. The music at the wedding was great and helped set the tone for the evening - a classic, elegant affair. One minor issue was that it seemed like there were more breaks in music sets than I had anticipated. That said, the band kept people on the dance floor all night and is a great deal!
