Where do we even begin when we talk about our experience with Jack Boatman Music? Jack was absolutely incredible to work with. Not only did we get a kick-*** DJ (literally we only heard incredible feedback from our guests) but we also had the honor of having Jack be our live violinist for our ceremony. This was so special to us, especially for Lola to have her late-mom's song as the music choice for the ceremony. Not only this, but Jack was always willing to meet with us for any updates, advice, or football talk. Jack allowed us to create playlists for the vibes of the day (pre-ceremony, cocktail, Italian dinner music, must-plays for the reception). Jack was so patient, kind, and assertive (in the best-way) to make our day move as smooth as possible. He was superman, really. Also, Jack was so kind to coordinate with Lola's father as he surprised us with singing a special song during our reception. Jack truly was 10000/10. No, not an exaggeration.
Last thing, we promise. Our photo and video team, which we adore, had Jack as their DJ and Violinist for their wedding in August. And that's coming from a couple that has been to hundreds of weddings, meeting hundreds of DJs. So just book Jack. Don't wait.

From the get go Jack nailed it. We booked the Platinum package to include lighting and audio services too. Our wedding would not have been as successful as it was without his multi-talented, flexible, and skilled support. He even crafted custom violin 🎻 pieces for our ceremony from Lana del Rey, Blink 182, and Taylor Swift!
In addition to this he came to our rehearsal dinner to practice. We recommend Jack to anyone that wants to have a seamless and fun wedding!Jack Boatman Music Services's reply:

Jack was fantastic to work with. We used his violin services for our wedding ceremony and DJ services for the reception. He was well organized, professional and had good communication. For our ceremony we had specific songs we wanted him to play on the violin. He learned each of these pieces and played them beautifully. When changes came up during the pre-planning or on the day off, he was great about just rolling with those changes as if they were no big deal. Jack is a professional, with charisma and adaptability. He is truly a fan of music, and devotes the time to adjust to any event. While Jack is widely knowledgeable of music, he entertained us with his live violin talents at our event. On top of that, Jack was very adaptable as an "MC" for our event, even when the groom forgot to mention a few things. Highly recommend with great value. -

Jack is the absolute best in every way - so kind, flexible, helpful, talented, and willing to help in any way he can! He truly made our day perfect. He listened to what we wanted and delivered flawlessly. And the violin for our ceremony and cocktail hour truly put everything over the top!! The dance floor was bopping all night long - he did a perfect job of playing songs for all different ages/genres while also staying true to who we were and the music we enjoyed. Jack was absolutely phenomenal! He was professional, kind, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process. He accommodated all of our requests and made sure even the smallest details we wanted for our wedding were included. We received so many compliments on the reception music, our guests were having such a great time that several people even asked for his playlist the next day!
We also chose a unique processional song, and Jack went above and beyond by learning it on the violin. It was absolutely beautiful. We can’t recommend Jack enough, he’s the best DJ you could ask for!Jack Boatman Music Services's reply:

Jack did an amazing job communicating back and forth with me on music selection and other details of our special day. He made the process very smooth and comfortable. We loved how he worked with us to do a run through on the day of the wedding so our wedding party would be more comfortable for our ceremony entrance. My husband and I hired Jack to play the violin for our ceremony and to DJ our reception. Not only did we meet twice via zoom to put together our wedding day plans, he was also able to attend our rehearsal to make sure everything ran smoothly. He put so much thought into every single part of the day and made it even more magical. If we could give a million stars, we would! Jack was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we first contacted him, the level of professionalism and enthusiasm was unmatched. He took the time to understand our music tastes, the vibe we wanted for our big day, and even offered incredible suggestions to make our event even more memorable.
On the day of the wedding, he arrived early to set up and ensure everything was perfect. He played the violin for our ceremony and it was SURREAL! The sound quality was amazing, the transitions between songs were seamless, and the way he read the crowd was truly a talent. The dance floor was packed all night long, with guests of all ages enjoying themselves. Jack played a perfect mix of our favorite songs along with requests from our guests, keeping everyone engaged and energized.
One of the highlights was how he managed the flow of the evening. From the grand entrance to the last dance (and encore) every moment was expertly timed and coordinated.

I had the immense pleasure of experiencing the talents Jack Boatman at my recent wedding, and I cannot stop raving about the extraordinary performance! From the moment the music started, the atmosphere was electrifying. The seamless fusion of his live violin during my ceremony with expertly mixed tracks during our reception was nothing short of magical.
I was very specific in the type of music I wanted played at our wedding and he did nothing more then give me a BOMB playlist. The transitions between genres and tempos were flawless, ensuring that there was something for everyone to enjoy. The energy on the dance floor was infectious, and the music truly became the heartbeat of the evening.
What sets Jack apart is his unique ability to switch seamlessly between live violin performances and DJ-ing. Jack was an incredibly fun, energetic, and positive DJ and helped make our wedding reception an absolute blast for all of our guests! He was so high energy and played the songs in a sequence to keep people dancing all the way until last call! He met with us a few times beforehand to elicit our style and music preference but worked in his own experience to keep the party going. The cocktail hour set was exactly what we were hoping for too!
Jack was super professional since the moment we reached out to him. He always responded to emails super quickly and made everything he needed from us very clear. He also kept our wedding on schedule as an emcee with smooth transitions. He arrived early to scope out the wedding venue which was new to him, and we really appreciated that! Throughout the entire process we really enjoyed working with a self-employed DJ rather than a DJ company. Overall, we would highly recommend Jack to DJ any event you’re planning!! Jack Boatman Music Services was absolutely incredible for our special day. Jack was wonderful to work with. He is very friendly and accommodating, and was very receptive to our wishes. He fulfilled our requests including some that were at the last minute, and made our ceremony so special with the variety of music selections. He even brought his guitar for the bride's processional song, which is not his usual service and was greatly appreciated. He also came to our rehearsal to practice, which helped everyone feel prepared for the big day. For the reception, he did an amazing job keeping the dance floor full the entire night. He is a great emcee in addition to his DJ skills, and the guests seemed to love interacting with him. His prices are extremely reasonable when you take into account the amount of care and detail he puts in to make your special day the best it can be. I would recommend Jack Boatman Music Services a thousand times over to anyone who is looking for a phenomenal vendor. -

Jack was absolutely amazing! My wife and I LOVE to dance, and Jack was fantastic at keeping people on the dance floor all night. We loved that he really took the time to get to know us as a couple, and he worked closely with us to get an idea of our music likes and dislikes. We gave him a few "must plays" and a few "absolutely nots," but otherwise, we let him run with the music and we were not disappointed. He is sure to keep people of ALL ages entertained at your wedding. Not only was he great at keeping people on the dance floor, he was also very good at communication. He reached out with any questions he had and was very quick in responding to our concerns. Lastly, the one thing that really sets Jack apart from the rest are his violin skills. We were able to hire him for a violinist during our ceremony and a party DJ for our reception. He really is the complete package. Jack is one vendor you will never have to worry about! You won't regret hiring him! -

Let’s just say my fiancé and I had high expectations for hiring a DJ that is the perfect fit for our taste in music. After meeting Jack, we instantly knew he was the perfect fit for us. Jack was personable, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. Jack made this experience for us amazing. He was very accommodating for our wide variety of music we wanted to hear at our wedding. We all hear about those horror stories with DJS messing up their music, well we did not get that with Jack. He knew exactly what to do at what times. Jack kept our dance floor full the whole night. I couldn’t recommend anyone better than him! -

I am SO happy to have had the pleasure of working with Jack. He went above and beyond for our wedding. To name a few moments:
1) I sent him a youtube video of a cut song that I wanted to use for my father daughter dance. He cut it so perfectly, down to the second. He sent me the music file so my dad and I were able to practice ahead of time with the edited music.
2) Jack came to our dress rehearsal to set up speakers and check the sound system. I did not ask him to do this.
3) I had very specific timing for the processional walk with my dad and I, and Jack was very open to making sure that could happen.
I had so many guests say that they have never danced that much at a wedding and how great the DJ was. Thats all Jack's work! He never let the party die down and played just the right amount of slow songs.
He played the most beautiful violin pieces prior to the ceremony.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Jack. You need to hire him, I promise you will not regret it. There are so many large DJ companies where you just get a random DJ. The experience is so different with Jack. Take my advice! -

HIRE THIS MAN. I'd give him six stars if I could. He's fantastic. Can't say enough nice things about Jack. We Zoomed several times before our wedding and jived really well. He completely understood what my fiance (now husband!) were looking for. Professional. Fun. Even played "In My Life" by The Beatles on violin during our ceremony - so dreamy. Again, hire him for your event, you won't regret it, I promise. -

When planning our wedding, and keeping in mind our fun, energetic, rockstar personalities, we were certain that we wanted to find vendors that matched those same traits. Being two brides we felt like we could think outside of the box to make our special day our own so we didn't necessarily make a normal checklist nor did we do things in order in the traditional sense.
Our DJ was one of the last things for us to finalize! Music is very important to us, I still make my wife "mix tapes" with songs that hold a special meaning about us as a couple or as us as individuals. So when finding the perfect DJ for our wedding day we weren't going to settle! We actually had a live performer for part of our day, a friend of my wife's from high school, and he said "hey, I have this friend that I work with who is a great up and coming DJ and I think he would fit perfectly with you two!" Relying on his recommendation, we had a meeting with Jack and felt instantly comfortable with him and felt at ease with his confidence and also the fact that he wasn't afraid to ask a lot of questions to make sure our day was going to be perfect!
Fast forward to our wedding day and Jack arrived looking dapper in his suit and had his DJ booth set up and ready with plenty of time to spare. The music he played was PERFECT for us and our personalities and there were always people on the dance floor because who could resist great music?! His lighting setup seemed to dance with each song, his wireless mic worked perfectly for speeches, he spoke perfectly when announcing us, he played a great mix of songs and was able to read the crowd to seamlessly transition into another song to keep people moving and having fun!
From start to finish, Jack was just an overall joy to work with! If you want a DJ who will definitely bring the fun and who has enough "pizzazz" to get the crowd involved then you need Jack Boatman Music Services! My wife and I couldn't be happier with our choice and we would pick Jack again in a heartbeat if we could do it all over again!
