To any couple currently debating on if a wedding planner is worth the cost... IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! And for anyone looking for a planner, look no farther than JStarr.
From our first call we knew that JStarr was the fit for us. We wanted a team who was knowledgable (we aren't from the area), well respected (vendors should want to work with your planner) and most importantly passionate. And not just passionate about weddings, but passionate about making the wedding experience feel good and genuine to you as a couple. We felt this on our big day for certain, with our friends and family all commenting on how impressed they were with our team and how professional yet familiar everyone felt. It was almost like having an extension of our guests, they were all just working tirelessly behind the scenes!
For our wedding we were lucky enough to work with April as our Lead Planner and we truly couldn't have done it without her. She expertly guided us through vendor selection and always made herself available to us. She made sure that we never felt an ounce of worry throughout the entire process, even on things we couldn't control during the big day. And there will be things you can't control - like the weather, or the longest government shutdown in history impacting flights across the country! But the great thing about having a planner is that all you really have to worry about are the uncontrollables, because everything else is controlled and taken care of. And for all the uncontrollables, your planner is there every step of the way to keep you sane so that you can focus on the important thing - starting your new married life together and throwing a great party!

J. Starr truly made my dreams come true! I have been a part of the J. Starr team since 2022 and have had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside some of the sweetest, most caring individuals who truly work overtime to make countless couples' special days truly special. It was such a sweet experience to have Melissa and the J. Starr team plan my wedding. Because of my experience with numerous weddings with the J. Starr team and dreams of my own, I had particularly high expectations for my husband’s and my wedding day. Truthfully, I was worried that no one would understand the vision I had for the wedding and feared that it would fall flat of what I had hoped for. But, Melissa fully understood my vision and with her care and expertise made my wedding day better than perfect! Melissa was on top of things so that I didn’t have to be. I got married at a private residence, which brought challenges of its own, and Melissa took them like a champ! There was a lot of adapting that needed to be done, and the J. Starr team did it professionally and without a hitch. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator who is genuine, caring, professional, and will treat you like family, I highly recommend J. Starr! -

Amazing Wedding at Boulders with J Starr and Alicia!
I would highly recommend J Starr wedding planners for your wedding! Our lead, Alicia, was nothing short of spectacular in all aspects of wedding planning. From the very beginning, wedding planning can seem like a tall task. With Alicia, she was there every step of our process.
Alicia is extremely talented at her job - she is organized, to the point, and is amazing at getting things done and communicating with your vendors. Alicia is simply a go getter and her personality, attitude, and professionalism make her the perfect wedding planner.

I knew I made the right choice after speaking with Jennifer, and subsequently meeting our lead planner, Heather. However I had NO IDEA how much until the big day. There's no way I could have pulled off the day without Heather and her team. They were absolutely invaluable. They were not only behind the scenes making sure everything ran smoothly, but also with me every step of the way. I highly recommend J Starr due to their experience as well as helpful tools. But the personal connection is the largest part of finding the right vendor. The Best Decision We Made for Our Day!
WOW, where do I even begin? From the moment we started researching wedding planners, it quickly became clear that J. Starr Wedding Company was the perfect fit for us. I first reached out to Jennifer (the owner), who responded right away and scheduled a call to connect, even though I don’t live in Arizona. At the time, I was completely lost and didn’t even have a venue booked yet. I was torn between three options, and within just an hour-long call, Jennifer so kindly helped me navigate the decision with such grace and insight. That call alone made it the easiest “yes” to having J. Starr as our wedding planner.
Shortly after, we were introduced to our official planner, Alicia, and working with her was truly a dream come true. My husband and I are endlessly grateful for her unwavering dedication, support, and heart throughout the entire planning journey. There simply aren’t enough ways to thank her for everything she did to make our wedding so incredibly special. From the beginning, Alicia went above and beyond. She scheduled calls to get to know us not just as clients, but as a couple. She took the time to understand our vision, offered thoughtful suggestions, and handled every detail with so much care. Her creative eye, coordination, and strong relationships with the best industry vendors made the entire planning process feel so smooth! We felt so supported every step of the way. My husband and I are so beyond impressed with Lauren and the whole J Starr team. They made our wedding dreams a reality. From start to finish, Lauren was always there for us. At first, I was nervous about planning a wedding after hearing all of the wedding planning horror stories, but Lauren quickly made all those feelings disappear by giving us all of the tools and resources we needed to make the planning process breeze. Lauren's response time was great as well. Whenever I texted, emailed or called, I heard back from her within a timely manner. One of the many things that I loved about working with Lauren was that she reminded my husband and I that this is OUR wedding and to not let the outside noise bother us too much. She did everything in her power to make what we wanted, happen. Lauren was kind, caring, attentive, and supportive the whole time we worked with her. Not knowing much about weddings or planning, she gave great advice throughout the process, making our choices and decision making easier. From early after our engagement to the night of our wedding, Lauren was there for us every step of the way, making sure every detail was correct and everything went as planned. I was able to have the best wedding day without stress or worries because I knew if anything were to go wrong, Lauren would be there to help resolve it. Ever since our wedding, I have been getting nothing but positive feedback and compliments from our guests. I have a unique perspective working with J. Starr's coordination team both as a wedding professional, and as a client. On both occasions I've had the incredible privilege of working alongside Heather Fowler, a member of Jennifer's incredible coordination team. I have been in the wedding industry as a videographer for over a decade, and have worked with countless high end coordinators over the years across the western united states. Early last year, I had the privilege of working alongside Heather at a higher end multi day wedding in Scottsdale. She completely made the experience for the team of vendors there that weekend. A professional in every sense of the word and just an overall joy to be around. Being engaged myself at the time, I knew J. Starr would be the first call we would make to help plan our big day. Fingers crossed she would be available.
Our wish was granted and Heather was in fact available to oversee our planning process and wedding day. From the first call Heather felt like a friend to us, she finds a way to strike the perfect balance of being a professional and just an overall joy to be around. Each call was experience we looked forward to. She was the only person we needed to email through the entire process, and was on all of the final meetings with our vendor team taking notes and asking any questions we forgot to. She made us feel like her only clients and was always available to answer any questions day or night.
As a fellow wedding professional I was nervous about how much we were throwing at her team on our big day. We (I should say my now wife and MIL) opted to handle all of the floral, signage, and table details ourselves. My fiance and her mother went over the top, sparing no expense and leaving no detail left unaddressed. This of course meant it was up to Heather and her assistance Kami and Anika to put it all together at the wedding. I hope to update this review once we receive the pictures from our photographer, but what this team of ladies created for us was nothing short of incredible. They set up 13 tables with floral, chargers, names, menus and probably lit well over 100 candles by hand. Our ceremony looked like something straight out of a fairy tail, and if that wasn't enough Heather and her team repurposed our floral arrangements in a separate space the dancing portion of our evening took place in.
She took care of every potential crises and used her snap judgment several times to make sure our special day was flawless. At the end of the night her team packed everything up and loaded it into a box truck we rented parked outside the venue. Making countless trips up and down the elevator to our venue to single handedly load the 20 totes and 4 racks of floral arrangements we loaded in that morning.
The TLDR of all of this is hire J.Starr. Your planning process will be a breeze, you will enjoy every second of your wedding day, and at the end of the night your only worry will be getting home safely. 5 stars is not enough to give this fantastic company. I look forward to recommending them to everyone in need, and hopefully working along side them for years to come. -

It would not be possible to give a higher recommendation for J.Starr weddings - as well as our Coordinator, Alicia, than we wish to give. We score them 1,000 / 10!
They were amazing to work with from before booking all the way to after the wedding was over. We didn't know what we wanted out of a coordinator service going in but were required by our venue. EVERY other service pushed HARD to take their most expensive package. J.Starr never pushed us either direction and was honest about the pros/cons of each package and made it clear they were going to give 110% in either direction.
Once we booked, they provided a comprehensive document to help manage things. But also were open that if spreadsheets weren't our thing, that was fine. Throughout the process Alicia always "met us where we were" and catered her style to us. The entire process was smooth with no drama, no hiccups or any issues.
Alicia was fun, friendly, organized, supportive throughout every encounter. Alicia took time out of the gate to understand what our vision was - and also provided ideas and questions to help us figure it out since we honestly weren't sure at first. This was great because from then on, any time we weren't sure on a choice she gave helpful recommendations of what would be most on theme.
Everyone kept asking us how stressful planning was and we honestly never felt stressed. It was exceedingly easy. We did the "Final Prep" package since we had already booked vendors. We then basically handed them to Alicia and then on wedding day, everything was perfectly in order, and we did absolutely no work. Even little things like helping print vows and paste them into vow books, which is so far above something a coordinator should need to do they took care of.
Also, we shopped around vendors - J.Starr was completely on-market price wise and honestly could charge more for how white glove everything felt.
This review is already too long, so we'll leave it simple: BOOK J.STARR WEDDINGS! If you've made it this far, just stop your search. You won't find kinder people that are also highly effective. -

I cannot recommend Alicia with JStarr enough! She was an absolute dream to work with. From assisting with all the vendors to attending every vendor appointment, she ensured that every detail was taken care of. She genuinely listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to make sure my wedding day was perfect!
Her organizational skills were incredible—especially the detailed Excel spreadsheet, which kept everything on track and made me feel so confident and prepared! Communication was always prompt; she quickly responded to my calls and emails and patiently answered all of my questions (no matter how crazy those questions were)!
Alicia far exceeded my expectations and made what could have been a stressful process into an enjoyable and seamless experience. Not even kidding when I say that the wedding came together more magical than any of my expectations - and all within a decently tight budget that I was managing. And long distance too! My husband and I are based out of Northern California for reference.
We worked with Alicia for over a year and honestly Alicia is the most pleasant person to partner with on this stressful journey (anyone that tells you wedding planning isn't stressful is lying, or oblivious to details or budget). Every interaction and message I got from her was truly so wonderful and supportive. She really had my back with whatever I wanted to pursue. To be fair I went off the beaten path a little and drove some of those ventures myself, but she made sure everything came together truly perfectly.
One fun detail - somehow my mid-October AZ outdoor wedding ended up being mid 60s degrees so we had to make tweaks literally last minute. The morning of, Alicia came up with the idea of same-day shipping scarves and blankets for the wedding, and made sure there were heaters. It ended up being perfect temps for everyone and honestly the heaters and blankets made for cozier pics too.
It seriously ended up being the most wonderful day and it really wouldn't have come together so perfectly without Alicia (and her assistants day of!). We will be forever grateful for all her help in making it that.

Words cannot describe how much we loved and enjoyed planning our wedding with Adriana. She was exactly what we needed in the planning process, a great sounding board for our different ideas, i.e. DIY portions of our own florals and decor. Adriana also provided a sense of calmness in all our interactions, which we definitely needed with the stress involved with wedding planning. We were planning from out of town, so we really appreciated how seamlessly Adriana was able to coordinate with our venue (Omni) and their events manager.
The weekend of our wedding, Adriana was amazing. She made sure all the little details (i.e. repurposing ceremony decor for the reception) were taken care of. In a pinch, she went above and beyond our expectations to help us put out a last-minute fire.
Overall, we could not have imagined a better wedding planner for us, Adriana was perfect.

I was fortunate to work with J. Starr Wedding company for my November 2024 wedding. From my first phone call with the owner Jennifer, I knew my husband and I were going to be in great hands. Jennifer blessed us with our planner Alicia. Me, my husband and Alicia instantly had a great connection. Alicia was so easy to talk to and made me feel such at ease during such an important time. As someone who is easily overwhelmed and is not a planner by any means, Alicia made the whole wedding experience stress-free. I was able to paint a picture of what my ideal wedding would look like and Alicia made my dream come a reality. From the very beginning she was professional, prompt with communication, reassuring, and always answered every question I had no matter how silly it may have been. My husband was very adamant on having epic grand entrance and Alicia listened and supported our wild ideas we came up with and even provided suggestions to make it a success and it was the perfect grand entrance to kick off the party of our reception! Alicia referred us to amazing vendors that we got to work with as well.
On the day of the wedding, it could not have gone smoother. It truly was the most perfect day. It was beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Alicia's planning and coordination, I could truly relax and enjoy the day without worrying about anything!

We are so thankful for J. Starr and Alicia for helping make our wedding come to life! From the first call with Jennifer and my first call with Alicia, I felt like a weight had been lifting knowing I had them in my corner to help plan our wedding! Destination weddings are hard when you don't have vendors you've heard of before so we leaned heavy on our wedding venue and J Starr's recommended vendors and we couldn't have been more thankful. We hit if off with Alicia right away and she understood our vision for a small intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. (We had 40 people at our wedding) Alicia was so organized, knew the details and walked me through anything I wasn't sure about and helped me make the best decision for us. We had one small hiccup the day before our wedding and I called Alicia right away and asked her advice. She said to me that it's my turn to handle. She had it solved so fast and I didn't think about it again. Everyone kept asking how I was so calm and it was truly because of J. Starr. We can't thank Alicia and Jennifer enough! -

Happiest bride ever! Five stars across the board!
I have so many positive things to say about JStarr and Adriana (our wedding coordinator). I will start by recapping my very first panicked phone call with Jennifer. I was lost and clueless, trying to find a coordinator in my budget who “got the vibe” I was trying to go with. I explained to Jennifer how I loved phantom of the opera, dark and moody, and along more gothic vibes. She understood the assignment!! She paired me with Adriana and assured me she was the best of the best. And boy was that an understatement.
For context, my poor husband and I had a LOT of unfortunate family drama that caused some very tense and anxious moments. I was highly distracted and was likely very unhelpful to Adriana who had to pull together miracles at the last minute thanks to my state of chaos. She was firm when she had to be firm to get me to comply to (very valid and serious) deadlines, and I am grateful for that. She hopped onto countless zoom meetings for reassurance and direction. She went far beyond what was described to me in the initial consult.
Adriana literally made my jaw drop and made me sob. Why? I left an entire room full of candles, battery operated candles, picture frames and photos, and an excessive amount of fake flower arrangement in a storage room at the venue. She somehow read my mind and assembled the ceremony space and reception space exactly how I imagined WITHOUT ME TELLING HER. I drew a child’s rendition of a table layout and it was rushed and awful and she somehow nailed it all by herself. When I saw it all put together I cried so hard and had chills down my body. I will never forget that feeling. I will never forget that moment.
Adriana had limited time to work and she pulled it together flawlessly. She ensured everything was exactly how I wanted and then some. She added little touches to things that really added to the decor. I never expected my wedding to come together and look as incredible as it did. Adriana left me speechless.

Well, that couldn't be more true for Jennifer and her team. When I first started my wedding planning journey, I knew that finding the right planner was crucial. After speaking with several planners who told me my budget was unattainable, I was fortunate enough to find Jennifer who immediately said "I got you" and crafted a realistic budget plan for us. From that moment on, I knew J.Starr was the team for us.
Enter our lead planner Alicia - a truly remarkable person who made our wedding experience nothing short of incredible. Her passion, attentiveness, and support throughout the entire process were truly remarkable. She was always responsive to emails, kept us on track with our timelines, and provided invaluable assistance in selecting vendors - if Alicia approved, I knew that vendor would get the job done! When I was feeling lost at the 6 months out point, she helped me get back on track and focus on action items and most of all just understood how I was feeling. Even at eight months pregnant, she handled every situation with grace and poise, including managing my slightly difficult mother during our tasting. When we didn't budget for a videographer, Alicia came to the rescue by connecting us with a talented photographer looking to expand his portfolio into videography and saved the day.
Throughout the wedding weekend, Alicia remained cool, calm, and collected, making sure everything ran smoothly from the rehearsal to the end of the wedding night. Her confidence just radiated and I knew she could handle anything thrown her way and made me feel so calm. From wrangling 9 groomsmen and making sure they showed up on time to sprinting back to the bridal suite when I forgot my grandmother's bracelet right before walking down the aisle, she never missed a beat. Our wedding day was truly perfect - seriously, nothing went wrong! - and we have Alicia and the J.Starr team to thank for that.
So it is indeed true that "you are who you surround yourself with." Jennifer has assembled an extraordinary team of dedicated professionals who are not only skilled but also genuinely caring individuals. I just got married two weeks ago and we had the UTMOST pleasure of working with Heather from JStarr Wedding Company. We are so lucky to have found this company! We had contracted Heather for the day of coordination. However, she initially started helping us months in advance by providing a wedding planning document that was key in our planning process. Then, specifically, six weeks in advance is when we got down to the real business. This planning document was vital in helping us get everything organized. The preferred vendor list that was provided was a HUGE asset as well, as we did hire all of our vendors off of this list. Heather was truly amazing. She is so organized, professional, helpful, and just such a warm person to be around. Her assistance with our day of timeline, all of the vendor coordinating and correspondence, assistance with the details - everything she did was so helpful! We really could not have done it without her!! The wedding day went off perfectly, and everything was in sync and all of the vendors were aligned working with each other flawlessly. It was truly amazing to see how well her and her assistant, Cami, coordinated everything so smoothly. Heather advocated for us to keep our ceremony outside as per our wishes, despite the fact that there was a chance of rain. She fought to keep our ceremony outside and luckily there was no rain!! The sun started shining as the bridal party walked down the aisle! I am forever thankful for her for that.

We cannot recommend HEATHER and the entire J. Starr team enough! I truly do not know how we would have pulled off our wedding without Heather. We felt like she really listened to and understood our priorities for our wedding and she did everything possible to ensure we had the day we dreamed of. We live out of state so were planning our wedding from afar, and Heather was so patient on countless long Zoom calls going over every detail and addressing or calming every worry that I had. It is not an overstatement to say that choosing J.Starr and Heather was 100% the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding. My husband and I are from Chicago so thinking about planning a wedding in Phoenix was extra stressful. With that said, thank god for J.Starr, we couldn't have done this without you!
From the very first introduction calls with Jennifer and Megan, I felt so at-ease and like I was talking with close girlfriends that I've known all along. They kept emphasizing how they were going to work to bring all my dreams to life and they weren't kidding! (I interviewed a few other companies that laughed when I shared ideas and budgets- not a great feeling nor professional.) Not once were they pushy or made me feel like high maintenance with all of my questions, requests, or changes. Whenever I'd ask a question for an opinion, Megan would tell me her honest thoughts but always finished her sentence with, but we will do whatever YOU want to do.
The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch. If something did go wrong, I still have no idea months later! We are still receiving compliments about how beautiful and perfect everything was and how no details were spared. Throughout the entire day, Megan was checking in with my husband and I to see if we needed drinks, apps, anything. She also made sure to check in with the bridal party, our family, friends, everyone! It was so appreciated and we all felt so cared for. Megan was so attentive and all those little things meant so much to us.

J. Starr was better than we could have ever imagined!
Let me start by saying planning a wedding is no joke! When we got engaged and started talking about having our wedding the following year, I knew I needed help. I had introductory phone calls with 3 different wedding planners (and emailed a few more for pricing sheets) and J. Starr was a clear winner! It can be so intimidating starting the process when you haven’t planned a wedding before and when you haven’t been to a lot either, but talking with both Jennifer and then April for the first time was like sunshine and rainbows! I knew they were going to be great from the start!
It is hard to put into words how much April did for us over the entire year we worked with her, but she is the sole reason we had such a beautiful wedding! And one we continue to get compliments on a month later! I have friends getting married and starting to plan who ask me what we did in certain parts of ours, or how we found certain vendors, because they one someone the same. And it was all April!! With every one of my questions answered and every detail executed, it was like she was planning our wedding but with the precision of if it were her own. She understood our vision and made sure we had vendors that did the same and went the extra mile to make it happen.
Sidenote, we live out of the country 10 months out of the year for work, so with an exception of one week that I came back for food tasting, cake tasting, hair and makeup trial, and floral mock up (all which April helped me plan during that week) everything for us was done remotely! April scheduled/organized/grouped vendor calls all within a timeframe that worked for us overseas and around our lives here. She really made everything so so easy for us.
I could probably write a novel titled “How Amazing April Is” but these are a few standout items she made possible for our wedding:
We draped all the walls and ceilings in our venue. Not easy, not cheap. April went through at least 4 (that I know of) vendors before finding someone who could do it within our budget and to our liking!! This was a huge part of our vision! While we were open to discussing other options because of the budget, she was determined to get us what we wanted. Even with a last minute meeting the month of our wedding, we added a little more and the vendors gave us a discount which I don’t think would have happened if they weren't constantly in contact with a planner that was so nice!
The DJ. Another huge party of our vision, because we wanted our reception to be an absolute party! (Which it was!) We looked through at least 6 or 7 different DJ’s before she found someone who was so perfect for us! …** Our DJ might have been our most complimented vendor/part of our wedding.
The timeline and scheduling in general. The scheduling sheet she emailed me a week or so before our wedding blew my mind! Everything detailed down to 15 minute increments! She made us one without all the vendor info too and it made it so easy for my husband and I to send to our bridal parties and families! Everyone knew where they needed to be and it relieved us of having to answer a million questions leading up to the day of.
April, you were the best!! J. Starr gave us the most incredible wedding and I’m confident anyone who works with them will have the same experience we did.

I would never have been able to have the most amazing wedding day experience without the constant aid & attention I was given by April & her dream team at J. Starr. To have 2 ceremonies in 1 day, involving 3 different locations, 4 outfit changes, 2 makeup & hair looks, AND a 2nd-line to parade us to our reception, all go off without a hitch is a testament to the professionalism & follow-through of this company! Also, they were by far the least expensive of all the planners I interviewed, the most responsive, & the most patient with the different needs & wants that comes with blending a Hindu & Methodist wedding together. Two things you should not think twice about: (1) Hiring a wedding planner; and (2) Hiring JStarr as your wedding planner. Jennifer and her TEAM of planners have prbly over 100 years of experience combined planning weddings and it shows! Alicia was our planner for our wedding at Omni Montelucia and from the start she was such a warm person. You really would think she was planning her own wedding she actually cared that much about ours. And we did not even contract for the full wedding planning service! (We just did day-of coordination). Alicia was always available to answer our questions - night, day, weekends, you name it she always responded within 24 hours and of course as we approached the wedding Alicia and I were basically communicating every hour. Alicia and the JStarr planners know everything about every venue in Arizona and not only that but they also have relationships with all the vendors too. It was a great feeling knowing that all the vendors we chose were familiar with Alicia and had worked with her already so there was no worry. Heather fowler!
As stressful as it can be to plan a wedding, I would do it all over again if I could do it with Heather Fowler from JStarr by my side! Heather helped me through the entire process and through it all, she was patient, kind, always on my level and always had suggestions and advice for any changes or recommendations I would have. My bridesmaids were all out of state and it honestly felt like Heather became my honorary maid of honor. Having a private estate wedding made everything infinitely more complicated and Heather had an answer for it all. It made everything easier to know I could rely on her and that she genuinely cared for us and that we had everything we wanted. I could go on and on about how much I loved working with her but you would be so lucky to experience it for yourself!
Separately I want to praise Jennifer and JStarr as a whole. The very first conversation I had with Jennifer was more productive than anything I had done up that point before we even hired them! Jennifer heard me out when I was worried about my budget and worked with me so that I ultimately could have the help that EVERYONE needs on their wedding day. She even suggested our DJ in that very first conversation that we ended up hiring too!
Both Jennifer and Heather were always willing to hear me out and take my calls/emails and I felt so taken care of by them- I mean it when I say my wedding would have been a complete mess without them and we might have forgone the whole thing but instead we had the wedding of our dreams! 10000000/10 would hire again and again -

April gave us the wedding of our dreams!
Deciding to work with J Starr for our wedding on March 11, 2023, was the best investment we made for our wedding! We were blessed to work with April throughout our entire wedding planning process. Jennifer (the owner) is so sweet and has built an incredible team, and knew what she was doing when pairing us with April for our big day! We decided to utilize full service planning since my husband and I have demanding jobs and had minimal extra time to plan.
April made the process so easy, fun and memorable! We truly got to enjoy each meeting, step, and decision, and it was truly because of April. From day 1, April made us feel like our wedding was the only event she was planning for the entire year and gave us her full undivided attention every time we spoke, had a vendor meeting, or I needed to share my thoughts from pinterest inspo. She was open to all of our wild ideas, extremely organized, provided insight, feedback, and recommendations that brought our entire vision to life ever more beautifully than we could have imagined. I felt so comfortable to fully trust her with every aspect and detail of our planning and that means A LOT when you're a type A perfectionist. We have grown so close to April and are in awe of her talents and how wonderful of a human she is! She is more of a family friend to us than just our wedding planner.
The day before our wedding, April had a medical emergency and her team came together to make sure that our rehearsal day went perfectly! Her wonderful assistant, Adriana, organized our rehearsal. On the day of our wedding, not only was April able to be there with us for the big day, but she had the support of Jennifer, Adriana, and Chelsea from their team to make sure everything ran smoothly. It was amazing to see how close their team is and how much they not only care about their clients, but also each other.
You will not regret working with Jennifer, April or any planner on their entire team as they are flawless, invested in your dream vision, and truly have a passion for what they do.
April - Thank you for making sure our wedding was even more incredible than we could have ever dreamed of. It really was the best day of our lives, and our families are still talking about it being the best wedding they've ever been to! We are so grateful for you! -

I can’t tell you how much it meant to us to have J Starr's help, love and encouragement. Our wedding absolutely, 100%, would not have been possible without them. They made everything look so easy and I honestly don’t know how! There were so many moving parts and so many details to track, it blew our minds, but our planner, Megan, just floated through the evening with poise and professionalism. She even handled a medical issue with grace and kindness ❤.
It was incredible having all this in our minds for a year and walking out the door and seeing it in real life exactly, as we'd imagined it was, honestly, nothing short of breathtaking. Then as the night went on, it just got MORE and MORE magical, unbelievable. It was like walking through a beautiful dream.
All of our guests were blown away. I bet I heard “This belongs in a magazine” a thousand times.
We’ve loved and truly enjoyed working with J Starr and will recommend them to every chance we get.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE ULTIMATE WEDDING PLANNER – YOU’VE FOUND THEM. My husband and I booked our wedding venue less than 5 months before the date of the wedding after someone happened to cancel a Saturday date. We were thrilled about reserving a Saturday at our dream venue, but obviously super stressed about getting everything ready in such a short amount of time. Enter JStarr Wedding Co. and our wonderful planner, April. April was able to look at my vision board, talk to us just a couple of short times, and make our vision come to life from there. She was so instrumental every single step of the way - no matter our somewhat crazy or last-minute requests. She helped me with everything from invitations to table arrangements, kept me calm, and of course, coordinated with every vendor to make my dream wedding a reality. Every vendor even complimented what a joy it was to work with her. Our wedding was, without a doubt, the best one I have ever been to (and ok, I may be a bit biased, but I've been to a lot of them) and everyone that attended said the same - BEST WEDDING EVER. The attention to detail was incredible. Everything was to-a-tee perfectly coordinated & designed according to our wishes. Even my husband, who is incredibly OCD and picky (love you Josh lol), told April at the end of the night that everything was beyond amazing and that she is an absolute rockstar, and I fully support that statement. I am so thrilled we went with JStarr/April. I cannot thank them enough for making our special day so perfect, not only for us- but for our guests as well. Multiple guests have already asked me if the same planners are going to plan our 10th wedding anniversary party and duplicate the same night, as they want to re-live that night - as do my husband and I!!! I am not even sure where to start. First, booking with J.Starr, but specifically having you as our wedding planner, was one of the best decisions we could have made. With your support, knowledge, and experience Michael and I went into our wedding day with nothing but confidence, pure joy, and an ease about how it would all come to life.
Aside from Michael and I absolutely loving the day, every guest and vendor we worked with commented on how beautiful and thoughtful the entire wedding was - from the ceremony to the last dance.
Now to you - your energy, positivity, and hype woman attitude was infectious to be around! You are exactly the kind of person we wanted surrounding us on our wedding day. J. star wedding company was a dream to work with! I was a bride with a tight budget, and not only did they work with me in this (so thankful) but also in my honest opinion I’d book a wedding coordinator over and over again!
There are so many little details and questions you don’t even think to ask when it comes to wedding planning.
J. star wedding company was friendly, helpful and professional. From my first phone call with them to our wedding day, I felt like we were in good hands and I could trust them. They were so kind, it was like having your friend double as your wedding planner. From their planning recommendations, to being the “go to” person on your wedding day, to figuring out the timeline and the logistics of you vendors, they did it all. (So you get to focus on the good stuff).
I wanna give a HUGE shout out to April for being our lead wedding coordinator! April you were truly wonderful to work with! I’m so grateful we had you a part of our incredible wedding day team! From the beginning to the end, our wedding was better than I could have imagined!! Thank you for all the zoom meetings and logistics you did behind the scenes to make our wedding perfect! Dream Planner For My Dream Wedding
Where do I even begin! For starters, Jennifer and her team are exceptional! Finding the J.Starr Wedding Company was a godsend. Not only did I gain an amazing wedding planner and support team, but I also gained a friend. Those who are lucky enough to know Jennifer know how incredibly sweet and passionate she is. She truly goes above and beyond and puts her Brides’ needs first. She has a brilliant way of making you feel at ease amidst the wedding stress and chaos. The best advice she gave me as it got closer to my big day was to surrender, and if you are a natural planner with the habit of being a little OCD and controlling like myself, then you know how hard that is to do, but Jennifer made it easy. The weeks and days leading up to my wedding day got easier and easier to surrender and live more in the moment because Jennifer is simply a ROCKSTAR and made that possible. Any expectations I had were exceeded, and the best part is that I got to be a guest at my own wedding, which I greatly appreciated because I got to be present and soak in every moment, every detail and love that was poured into the wedding. I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude towards Jennifer and her team for making my dream wedding a reality and for making the entire wedding planning process fun. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams thanks to the J. Starr Wedding Company. From the moment I had my first consultation phone call with Jennifer, my heart and mind was immediately put at ease. Throughout the entire process there was no pressure and there was no judgement. The trust we had in Jennifer allowed us to 100% trust her vendor recommendations, which turned out perfectly.
Jennifer has to be the most organized person I have ever met and handled the never ending to do list with ease, allowing Dave and I to be able to fully enjoy the wedding planning process and our wedding day with no stress.
