  The best of the best

  Stop your search here! Jessie is the absolute best of the best. I found Jessie after seeing an article posted on my local news website about a COVID wedding in our neighborhood. While I do love my neighborhood, Jessie had a way of capturing it, and the wedding, that made it look absolutely magical. I didn't even know these people and felt the love and happiness they shared on that day. When I got engaged, I knew exactly who to go to for engagement photos. My fiance and I had never had our photos taken professionally and we were both a little unsure about the experience. I shared with Jessie that we love hiking together and would love our photos to be in nature. Without skipping a beat (because she's so responsive), Jessie suggested a gorgeous overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were pumped! It felt like from the beginning, she got us and saw us for who we are. The shoot itself flew by! We had so much fun and Jessie made the experience incredibly comfortable. If you're looking for a hype girl, Jessie is that and then some! She immediately feels like your best friend. By the end of the same day as our shoot, Jessie had shared behind the scenes videos that her second photographer took. I knew, just from the videos, that Jessie captured the love we share and the fun we have together. Less than a week later, we had our photos! We're now a month from our shoot and I can't get enough of them. They are the most beautiful images I've ever seen. She made us feel so special and so seen through the process. We've used them for holidays cards, a 2023 calendar, and large prints for our room. Jessie is an artist in the truest form. My fiance and I knew, without even having a wedding date or venue, that we wanted Jessie to photograph our wedding. We planned our wedding around her availability because we can't imagine anyone else capturing our day. Reach out to Jessie! Look at her portfolio! You will see the magic and feel the love and care she puts into the process from the actual shooting to the editing to the sharing of the images. There are simply not enough good things to say about Jessie and her commitment to her craft.

  The absolute best!

  Jessie photographed our wedding in October of 2023, and there aren’t enough nice things I can say about how wonderful she is! The photographs she took are stunning and there are so many! Even though it’s been months, sitting and looking through her photos makes it feel like our wedding was yesterday. We feel so fortunate to have these memories of our wedding to enjoy for years to come. Beyond the beautiful photos, Jessie was a fun and easygoing presence at our event. She and her assistant were professional, but knew how to make every step of the process feel fun and special. I’m not very good at posed photos, and Jessie was wonderful about giving direction when we were doing portraits. She was also great at wrangling both of our large families to make sure we got the shots we needed. She was equally amazing at capturing all those little impromptu moments that happened throughout the day in a very unobtrusive way. She completely understood the vibe we were going for and delivered on every promise, including sending us a really gorgeous sneak peek, which we received while on our honeymoon. It was such a wonderful experience to wake up at our resort to an email from Jessie with a folder full of photos to enjoy! I highly, highly recommend Jessie Walker Photography, no matter what your needs are. Jessie is awesome, and we feel so lucky to have gotten to work with her.

  HIRE Jessie. We loved and adored her!

  My first thought — hire her! From day one, I knew I wanted a creative photographer who would capture moments that were special to me. Jessie exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I haven’t seen the sneak peaks just yet — but the photos she posted on her Instagram from the night of the wedding let’s me know I will not be disappointed. She didn’t have to post to Instagram, but she put in the extra effort and it meant a lot of Ryan and I. We were on our honeymoon and I could look back and see at all the pictures/videos from the wedding. We also saved them so we have them forever.
  
  Jessie has so much talent, drive and dedication to provide the absolute best for her clients. This sounds silly — but I also loved how she did payments. It was a quick email reminder of what I owe which made everything so easy. (Most vendors don’t do that!) Jessie, I thank you. Thank you for being the absolute best. One of the best in the business — and I mean that. Thank you for dealing with our wild bridal party/family. I cannot wait to continue doing pictures with you for years to come as our family grows.

  Jessie is just amazing.

  What can I say about Jessie?
  
  Shortly after getting engaged, we hired our planner who gave us a handful of photographer recommendations. Jessie was among the top of the list, and we loved her style. Unfortunately, the day I reached out to book her, she let us know she had been booked for our original date just hours before I reached out.
  
  Fast forward a year, and we postpone our wedding (like so many couples had to do). As luck would have it, when our then-photographer was no longer available for our new date, Jessie was. Serendipitous, right?
  
  Booked. Immediately. We had to have Jessie. Not long after that, we did a summer mini shoot with Jessie to meet in person, and it just felt right from the very start. Our personalities were a fit, her direction felt natural, and she was so supportive. Later that year, we did a Christmas shoot with her, and it felt more like a friendship than a vendor relationship or exchange of goods and services.
  
  Finally, our wedding day rolled around. We've only seen sneak peeks of our wedding day photos so far, but once again, she worked her magic. From start to finish, she helped us feel at ease. We felt the love, and she captured those feelings from behind the lens. She just has a way of connecting with people and bringing out their very best.
  
  I cannot say enough positive things about Jessie. We didn't just get a photographer out of this, we feel that we truly got a friend.

  I actually connected with Jessie through Instagram, and her editing style was exactly what I was looking for! My husband and I (like many others) chose our wedding date in 2020, and had to work with so many covid restrictions. We ended up choosing a different location and switching to a micro-wedding of just immediate family two months prior, and Jessie couldn’t more flexible and excited. Her positivity and adornment of the day truly made our wedding so special. PLUS, the photos are absolutely AMAZING and will be cherished for a lifetime. She’s taken our Christmas photos, engagement photos, and with a baby on the way, will be the first person I reach out for family photos. She’s the best!!

  Best DW photographer!

  We met Jessie locally in VA for engagement photos and were so pleasantly surprised to learn she did destinations too! Jessie makes you feel so comfortable while still getting the best shots! We are in love with our photos! Jesse has an amazing eye and does her best to make the experience fun! She is pretty organized and provides a shot list to you ahead of time with various shots you would like to include and family members. Def check her out if you are local or traveling somewhere fun! We only wished we could have had more time w her for extra shoots, so be sure to plan early!

  Incredibly talented and amazing Wedding/Lifestyle Photographer!

  I found Jessie on instagram and immediately fell in love with her style of photography. Her candid lifestyle approach is what makes her so unique. My now husband and I have used Jessie on several different occasions to help document various milestones in our life -- announcement of our pregnancy, maternity photos to our wedding day photos. You can truly see and feel the passion she has for her job and love for photography. Her smile is contagious and her genuine personally radiates. Jessie has quite the eye for capturing such magical and raw moments and she makes sure that gets photos that make you feel absolutely beautiful, but also making you feel at ease in front of the camera. The day of the wedding, Jessie went with the flow and took ALLLL the pictures that we wanted her to take. She even joined us on the dance floor! By the following evening, Jessie had already sent us 25+ sneak peak photos, because who wants to wait! Jessie truly is an incredibly talented photographer and we can't wait for her to capture more of our life in the future! Jessie we love you!

  Amazingly talented

  What more can I say other than VERY TALENTED! But I will say more about Jessie because she did our engagement shoot, our welcome party (the night before our wedding ) , our wedding day. AND man I just love every single photo she takes. Our engagement shoot pictures are just amazing, she capture genuine moments between my fiancé and I ! 6 months later people in our lives still cant get over how amazing they turned out. My mother in law hired Jessie for the welcome party pictures to capture the night before our wedding with all the people who just traveled so far to celebrate us and Jessie yet again captured so many genuine moments that night of us greeting our guest, group shots, actual candid moments and so many more. The pictures are just unbelievable
  
  Our wedding day- We hired Jessie for 10 hours. Jessie, had to work with probably the biggest wedding party ever !!! 15 groomsmen, 9 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, 2 ringer bearers and plus parents! It was big but jessie made it work. She got some amazing group shots. I really wanted moments of my husband seeing me for the first time walking down the aisle and WOW she got them! We have received about 30 preview pictures and the rest will come in the next couple weeks but I will say this with the 30 pictures we have I am completely obsessed as is everyone else in our life. They can't get over how beautiful they are! I can't wait to get the rest of them !!! I know I have babbled on but I could keep going about Jessie but she seriously is so talented and her pictures are genuine I wanted actual moments not the ones where we have to pretend to be laughing or crying or surprised to see one another but the raw stuff and Jessie did just that. I will be recommending her to all my friends around the area and plus more!!! (she travels too). I will be using jessie as our prime photographer for many more events through out our lives. We love you Jessie thank you again for our making each event this past year memorable and capturing moments we can have FOREVER!!!

  The best!!

  My husband and I absolutely love Jessie. We hired her to photograph our engagement and wedding (2017/2018) and years later she photographed our maternity session (2021). She is professional, fun and oh so talented. She makes you feel at ease but is also good at giving direction when needed. We will always continue to work with her in the future (it’s so nice when you form a real relationship and want to use the same photographer again and again!) you won’t regret hiring her!!

  We have receiver so many compliments for our photos from friends and family

  Amazing Photos!

  Jessie is an absolutely amazing photographer! We love how our wedding photos turned out. She did an amazing job of capturing the event, the people, and all the details that went into our wedding. We have more than enough photos to remind us of our special day for the rest of our lives.
  
  Jessie also did a complimentary engagement shoot for us when we hired her. Those pictures also turned out great! Jessie is easy to work with. She made the somewhat awkward process of taking engagement photos simple, made us feel comfortable, and the process a lot of fun! Jessie is super friendly and you can tell she really cares about capturing great photos for her couples. We can't recommend Jessie enough!

  Delightful and talented!

  I hired Jessie for my bridal portraits, and I am so glad that I did! She was willing to meet me at Historic Polegreen Church (which was a bit of a hike for her), and she was absolutely delightful to work with. I was looking for a slightly different style of photography from my wedding photographer for my bridal portraits so that I could have something a little different and also to capture the subtle but intricate detail of my dress. Jessie's style was perfect for this. She is so good at capturing genuine moments and making you feel like an actual goddess, and I had my photos in just a few days! I would absolutely recommend her.

  Great work, overpriced and the contract was NOT met. We hired Jessie as she was recommended to us by the employees of the front office where we live. We had a serious contemplation because of the price but ultimately decided to work with her. The quality of her work is AMAZING, however, when we were asked where we wanted to do our engagement photos, we offered suggestions and she shot down each one and said on some that were 40 minutes away that she would have to charge a travel fee to not even go up to Williamsburg or on suggestions she offered, after we agreed, she would then tell us she would have to charge us an entrance fee. She then selected where we would do our engagement photos, which turned out great but it left a sour taste in our mouths since we were asked where we wanted to go but didn't get a say. We only have photos of 1/4 of our guests, paid $2,250.00 for two photographers for 8 hours and got a photographer and an assistant for a solid 5 1/2 hours. If it wasn't for our family and friends snapping photos, we would only have had maybe 1/2 of our wedding documented. We feel we should be refunded for the failure to meet the terms of the contract but we will never receive that, we just hope no bride and groom has to feel this way about their wedding photos on their special day.
