Jennean absolutely loves what she does and she uses the utmost care for your wedding dress. I am obsessed with my dress, and Jennean made it fit like a glove. She took up the straps, took the bust in just a smidge, added silicone to the straps to minimize irritation, and hemmed and bustled the skirt. The dress that already felt made for me looked so perfect. I loved the drama of the train, and the hem didn’t change the length or beautiful detailing at all. And she handled the detailing - lace, beading - with so much care. The bustle made the skirt so fun to dance and twirl in and almost made it look like a second dress! Jennean was always punctual and calm. She is an expert in her field and I trusted all of her recommendations. She is always so kind and truly enjoys witnessing brides experience the special emotions of wearing their wedding dress. Highly recommend Jennean! -

Exceptional Wedding Dress Alterations by Jennean Mason
Jennean Mason is an incredible alterations expert and the best in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire area. I was terrified of the alterations process and had every fear imaginable, but Jennean's kindness and responsiveness put me at ease.
She provided excellent advice on everything, including shoes and jewelry, and helped calm my nerves throughout the process. The work she did on my dress was outstanding: she took in the waist and bust, added cups, draped, hemmed, and created an extensive bustle. She even kept the dress for me and recommended perfect places to have it steamed, along with advice on when to get it done.
I absolutely recommend Jennean Mason for anyone needing wedding dress alterations. Her expertise and support made my dress perfect! -

Jennean is so talented and did beautiful work on my wedding dress! We also used her day-of services and it was a HUGE relief to have her there touching up dresses, helping stage photos, and making sure everything was in place. Absolutely worth having her there - she even got some extra photos when the photographers had to be elsewhere and they are some of our treasured ones! She even touched up my bridesmaids hem so she wouldn't trip down the aisle!! Cannot recommend her enough - she goes above and beyond for her clients, and was so easy and wonderful to work with! -

Creating a wedding dress from 3 unique pieces!
Jennean is an extremely gifted seamstress. After purchasing 2 jumpsuits and a skirt from Tulle Bridal in Andover, we were told she was the seamstress for me to get my vision. She expertly created a top, a skirt, and pants that clipped into each other, with appliqué aligning perfectly onto each new piece. This allowed me to pull off the allusion of wearing the same top but as a "dress" for the ceremony and a "jumpsuit" for the reception. Guests were blown away - it didn't look like 3 unique pieces at all! -

Put simply, Jennean works magic.
I purchased a dress that I knew I would love, but only after some reconstructive surgery. I called other places and they didn't understand what I wanted done to the dress, but in my first conversation with Jennean, I could tell she knew exactly what I meant.
I loved my fittings with Jennean. She listened to my concerns, was supportive and in tune with my opinion before it even left my mouth. She managed to patiently talk my mom and sister through the bustle process and let them practice multiple times to make sure they had it right.
And THE DRESS. All of us - Jennean included - were crying when I tried it on at my final fitting. It was absolutely stunning and the most incredible transformation. I am so grateful to Jennean for her expertise, skill, and talent.
Also, Jennean absolutely saved me when it came to my veil. I procrastinated on ordering one, and, at the last minute, she was able to order the exact one I wanted. It shipped to her shop in just a couple days, and she texted me as soon as it arrived. Absolute lifesaver. -

Amazingly talented & wonderful person
Jennean blew me away from the first moment I stepped into her doorway. I arrived to her terrified that I had bought the wrong dress and was contemplating buying a second one, when she instantly reassured me that we could create my vision out of the dress I had ordered.
Jennean put up with countless emails, inspo photos, last minute changes and gave me guidance with each step. She redesigned the entire top of my dress with the lace that I fell in love with when I bought it. The dress was stunning and Jennean became a lifelong friend in the process.
She made my dress everything I hoped it would be and helped me to feel the most beautiful on our special day. Jennean also tailored my sister's bridesmaid dress and my rehearsal dinner dress -- all of which came out stunning. I have since referred my best friend to Jennean for her upcoming wedding.
Jennean was patient, flexible, informative, and above all else she is amazingly talented. She has a true gift and was a pleasure to work with. Our lace fairy! Thank you, Jennean. We adore you! -

Wonderful Experience!
Jennean was recommended by the dress shop I purchased my dress from. I was optimistic being that I was a plus size bride but Jennean was amazing! From booking my fittings in such a time crunch, making me feel comfortable, her attention to detail and ideas/recommendations were unmatched! Amazing Seamstress!
Jennean was recommended by the bridal salon where I purchased my dress -- we live in Massachusetts but after reading her reviews I decided to reach out to her, and I'm so glad that I did!! She did an amazing job with my dress and thoughtfully responded to all of my feedback along the way. She showed my parents and I different types of bustles and made the extra effort to explain what she was doing and show us different alteration options. It felt like such a relief to know that my dress was in great hands and that she was on the same page with me. She was incredibly kind and meticulous and was such a pleasure to work with! I received SO many compliments on my dress, and most importantly I felt absolutely amazing and wish I could wear it every day!! -

Jennean is a master at her craft. I brought my wedding dress to her for alterations for my 8/7/21 wedding. I needed a lot of alterations and a last month decision to pull the dress up at the waist a bit due to it bunching, ultimately cutting the dress in half, and I not once was hesitant about it. Jennean is super professional and friendly. Her shop is cute and I loved seeing the dress projects she was working on that she showed me. She knows what she is doing. She made me feel confident and beautiful. My dress fit PERFECT and I could not have asked for a better outcome. -

Jennean was very easy to work with for my gown. I had several meltdowns over my gown not fitting properly ( I ordered it 1.5 years before my wedding day), however she was patient with me and made my dress look perfect for my day. My daughter's wedding gown was beautiful, and after the alterations done, it was BREATHTAKING! The alterations were done around my daughter's training for Spartan Races, to make sure the arms were going to fit correctly, and of course they did! You couldn't even tell the lace at the bottom was taken off completely and sewed back on, and when they exchanged the buttons that were on a zipper, to all buttons, it fit like a glove!!!! Everything was precise and it looked like it sewn onto her body! Not only do they know their stuff and are professional, they are kind and caring. Thank you!!!!

Beyond talented, and loves what she does!
Jennean was absolutely wonderful!! She was one of a few seamstresses recommended to me through my bridal salon, and after seeing some photos of her work and her attention to detail via email, she immediately stood out. A few minutes into our first appointment, I had no doubts it was the right choice! Not only is Jennean so passionate about what she does, she's so, so talented. I had a pretty complicated hem on a Hayley Paige gown with a full tulle skirt with horsehair flounces and chapel train. I needed a few inches taken off, which could have been troublesome (or a full nightmare!) given the layers, but Jennean knew exactly what to do. I can only imagine the level of work it entailed, but she was able to perfectly preserve the cascading look of the dress. She also created a bustle that was so easy to work with the day of the wedding, it took my girls no time at all. And it didn't even look like a bustle - it looked as though the dress was made to be that way. Even my cousin who works in the industry and has seen more than her share of gowns couldn't get over the work. I was so thrilled with everything, and so lucky to have found Jennean. Even beyond the alternations, she was so helpful with every detail too, from the steaming to ordering an XL garment bag for transport so that everything would be perfect the day of. I truly felt like a special bride every time I met with her.

The bridal boutique where I got my dress recommended Jennean Mason specifically because she is an expert in my designer (Olvi’s). Boy, is that an understatement! Jennean did a truly masterful job taking my beautiful dress and elevating its majesty by molding it perfectly to my body. From the delicate mesh, to the intricate lace and bead work, she made it fit me absolutely perfectly and left no trace of her work. The bustle! I was afraid bustling the train would take away some of the magic of the dress. But I had no reason to worry. Jennean did the bustle in a “user-friendly” way and gave the dress a whole new dimension of movement and beauty. I traveled from south of Boston for all 3 of my fittings and every single trip was worth it, traffic and all. She also custom made the most perfect, complementary veil to finish out my desired bridal look. Beyond being a phenomenal seamstress, Jennean is genuinely fun to work with. Funny, helpful, honest, and responsive. Highly, highly recommend! -

After researching and reaching out to several businesses on their list, I chose to do my dress alterations with her in Windham. I am SO thankful I did! I had a unique two piece, which included a one piece Martina Liana top that had lace and illusion details, then an A-line tulle skirt by Watters that had strips of tulle to create movement (which required Jennean and team to hem each strip!). Jennean was amazing at listening to what I was looking for, while also providing thoughtful suggestions when it came to areas of the fitting I wasn’t sure about. I was nervous about having my one piece fitted, since the illusion lining and lace detailing was so delicate, but after my first fitting I knew I was in great hands. Jennean is down to earth, professional and personable. She also was priced reasonably given her level of customer service & talent. I highly recommend using J Mason Designs for your bridal needs! I received so many compliments on my dress, and could not imagine having had anyone else alter!

Maria Sent on 09/09/2018I used J Mason Design to have my wedding dress altered and have a custom flower girl dress made for my flower girl. To say it was perfect would be an understatement. Jennean saved me a fortune by finding a similar fabric not by my wedding dress designer to make a beautiful custom flower girl dress. She was over accommodating with fitting schedules and a high maintenance child (I can say this because it was my daughter lol). She also did an amazing job altering my bridesmaids dresses too! Jennean thank you for being so amazing and making both of us look and feel beautiful!!!

Although Jennean is good at what she does and my daughter's wedding gown came out beautiful, I wanted to share my experiences (yes, each time I was at her shop for fittings with my daughter). Jennean was ill-mannered, impulsive and quarrelsome behavior made our experience horrible. This was supposed to be a memorable moment and we were very shock by her continued sharp, unpleasant tones. She was very sharp and disrespectful to me (brides mother) stating, "you just sit there, this is her wedding". I wasn't even rude to her, I was just asking questions about the shoulder straps and the bustline. So when I said to Jennean, please this is my daughter's wedding, it is important to all of us. She said you are just the mother of the bride. How insulting and disrespectful for a business to speak to a customer like that. What a bad memory she has created for something that should have been such a happy and impressionable moment, especially for a Mother and Daughter. Shame on you Jennean Mason. Please learn some business etiquette.
