Amazing experience

I had the most amazing experience dress shopping at J. Major's! It was the only shop I went to, and I ended up saying yes to the third dress I tried on. I knew I liked Jenny Yoo, and they have an incredible selection of her gowns. It was truly a special, top-tier experience from start to finish and I felt so beautiful in my dream dress.

A few highlights from my experience:
• Incredible Styling (Riley): My bridal consultant, Riley, was amazing. She listened to my initial ideas, paid close attention to my reactions, and ultimately pulled the exact dress I said yes to. It wasn't a dress I would have grabbed for myself, but her attentiveness and experience led her right to it. She was calm, encouraging, and made me feel respected and cared for in a completely stress-free environment.
• Above-and-Beyond Customer Care (Ravi): When I came back for my initial try-on once the dress arrived, I was a little stressed because it was very large on me and didn't fit my shape yet. Ravi went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and confident that alterations would make it perfect. He recommended a tailor, and he was completely right—the final fit was absolutely perfect! Ravi even checked in with me multiple times afterward to ensure everything turned out okay and to offer any extra help I might need.
• The Extra Touches: They generously included a complimentary pair of earrings of my choice to take home with the dress. I also went back for a separate accessories appointment, and they helped me choose a beautiful veil that complemented my dress flawlessly.

I would highly, highly recommend J. Major's to any and all brides looking for an amazing, personalized wedding dress shopping experience. Overall, love, love, love!

Gorgeous dresses & flexible bridal shop!

I loved the wedding dress styles here!! I was looking for an elegant and timeless dress with beautiful fabric that screamed high end and that’s exactly what I found here! Some of the styles and designers are European (I love their fashion!) and I really loved the wide variety of options. I had my appointment with Madison and she was wonderful! I’m having a destination wedding and moving out of the country, she accommodated for me to get my dress before I leave. It’s taking about 2.5 months which is so incredibly quick! They will definitely accommodate to your needs and do the best to help you. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

The Absolute Best Bridal Experience!

An absolute 10/10 experience! J Majors has a wonderful reputation—my sister got her dress here in 2018, and after so many of my friends did the same, I knew it was the only place I wanted to look for my wedding dress and veil. The entire team is exceptionally kind and truly goes above and beyond to make you feel like a princess. Walking into my first appointment, I was a bit nervous, but their warm energy immediately put me at ease. One of my favorite parts of the experience was that they ask for your Pinterest board in advance and pull dresses tailored to your style. Every gown was stunning, and the process was seamless and joyful. I cannot recommend them enough to any future bride!

Fantastic Experience

I had an incredible experience at J. Majors Bridal Boutique! Kelcie was so kind, fun, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. She even coordinated with my friends, who couldn’t travel in, to surprise me with flowers, and they all mentioned how wonderful she was to work with.

I came in with a few ideas for my wedding dress and a tighter timeline, and Kelcie did an amazing job pulling options that fit exactly what I was looking for. She had me try a great range of dresses, and I ended up finding “the one” during my very first appointment.

I truly can’t recommend J. Majors enough. The entire team was warm and welcoming, and they offer a great variety of beautiful dresses. Such a special experience from start to finish!

Didn’t Say Yes Here, But I’m So Glad I Went!

I had an amazing experience at J. Major’s Bridal Boutique! Madison made me feel beautiful and completely comfortable in my own skin. While I ultimately said “yes” to a dress at another shop, Madison truly set the bar for what great customer service looks like. She opened my eyes to styles I had previously ruled out, and I left feeling more confident and excited about the process. I wholeheartedly recommend J. Best Charlotte Bridal Boutique

The ladies at J Majors are so sweet and helpful. I found my dress at J Majors in November 2019 for my October 2020 wedding, which unfortunately was postponed to October 2021 due to the pandemic. J Majors kept my dress safe in their store until I was ready to bring it home in early 2021 - they even squeezed me in on a busy Saturday for a try-on when I finally did pick my dress up (so I could remember what it looked like since it had been so long since I picked it out). After my wedding, Kaylyn helped me mail my dress out to be preserved. I think the most important part about my experience with J Majors was that they never once commented on my body size or type when I was trying on dresses. I had gone to another bridal boutique in Charlotte and the stylist kept commenting on how skinny the dresses made me look, or dramatically pinning me in the dresses to imply that the samples didn’t fit me - which made me really uncomfortable. J Majors kept my body size and shape out of the conversation when I was trying on dresses and I really appreciated that. I would recommend J Majors to all of my friends.

Great Experience

On the day I went wedding dress shopping, I went to J Majors and a few other local bridal boutiques. By far and away, I had the best experience at J Majors. Right away, my group and I were greeted by Nicole who gave us the option to peruse the racks and pick out a few gowns I wanted to try on. She gave us enough space to look on our own, but was always there to assist with carrying, zipping, etc. She listened to what I was looking for and pulled other dresses similar to styles I was leaning towards. I ultimately ended up purchasing my dress, veil and belt at J Majors and was so grateful I did.

Friendly Staff & Gorgeous Gowns!

J Majors was the perfect spot for wedding dress shopping! Not knowing what I wanted, I had been to so many places trying on dozens of dresses. I was honestly starting to get a little overwhelmed, but then we walked into J Majors and were blown away! The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful and I felt very comfortable sharing my wants without being judged or pushed in a particular direction. Once I picked the perfect dress for me, the J Majors staff were right there with me to suggest alterations and steaming it before the big day. My dress was perfect for me and I cannot thank J Majors enough for making the process an enjoyable one!

Amazingly Accommodating

Nicole and Kaylyn were amazing! After having shopped earlier in the day at J. Majors, I had returned to take another look at my top 3 dresses. I was from out of town and only in for the weekend. Understanding that I did not know when I would be back, they made time to stay open and accommodate myself and my party. After picking my dream dress, they even put a hold to their personal plans to size me and fully explain the ordering process. Shopping at J. Majors was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for their dream wedding dress!

Wonderful experience!

I walked in to J. Majors with a budget that I really could not go over and a very particular style of dress I wanted. Lace and sleeves! The consultant I worked with took all of this in to account and helped me find my dream dress! I walked right by it and didn't even select it initially. It was a sample dress in excellent condition. She pulled it for me and honestly the second I put it on I had that moment where I knew it was the one. I was very pleased with my experience at J. Majors and would recommend them!

JMajors was an upscale experience that still fell within our budget for the wedding.

I purchased my wedding dress in the old building but went to pick it up in the new storefront that is absolutely beautiful. The staff were accommodating every time we were in store- which was more than one occasion, as one time I went to just try on my dress once it came in so that my sister who lives out of state could see it. Wonderful and stress-free shopping experience!

I had such a wonderful experience at J Majors! The whole staff is so sweet and friendly and the new store is lovely. I am a generally indecisive person and the consultants were so sweet and patient during my initial and return appointment. Once I chose the dress of my dreams they offered helpful suggestions about alterations and accessories. I also love that they transported the dress to and from alterations appointments, stored it until the wedding, and steamed it right before pickup, all of which helped us avoid any stress about storing it safely.

Convenient and helpful

I am so happy that I got my dress from J Majors! I chose a Jenny Yoo gown that was gorgeous on my wedding day. They work with a local alterations store and helped with transportation to and from the alterations location. My dress was ready to go on time and steamed! I highly recommend shopping for dress there but do suggest that you already have an idea of what you want.

Wonderful Customer Service

The dresses and customer service at J. Majors is amazing. They have such a variety of dresses, and all of them are in pristine condition. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with such kindness and positive energy. I had tried on so many different dresses at various boutiques in the Charlotte-area, and none of them are what I had imagined my prefect dress to be. When I told my consultant, Rachel, what I was looking for, she immediately was able to pull 8 dresses that fit my wants. She then took her time to listen to my likes/dislikes and pull more based off of what she was hearing. It was the most personal interaction I had in my entire dress search. They never viewed me as a 'sale opportunity' but as a bride. If you are looking on finding your perfect dress and for amazing customer service, J. Major's is your place!

I had a wonderful experience at J. Major's all around! It was easy to schedule an appointment and I was able to get right in to look around and meet with a consultant. I LOVED being able to look through each and every dress on my own. So many other bridal boutiques don't let you do that, which I was growing very frustrated with. At J. Major's, I easily marked the hangers of the dresses that I liked (and most importantly, the ones in my budget!) and my consultant organized them in my dressing room for me. What I loved about that was it caused any stress or anxiety to go away. I was able to casually look through things, take my time, and no one made me feel uncomfortable or was pushy...totally my style! Everyone on staff was so nice, welcoming, calm and accommodating and the store was beautiful and organized - every single time I visited. After purchasing my dress, they were very quick to respond to my e-mails with status updates on when the dress was scheduled to arrive. Once it came in, i tried it on again and then worked with them to get alterations done with a local seamstress they recommended. J. Major's transported my dress and I just had to show up for my fittings. So easy! I would definitely recommend J. Major's to any bride looking for a nice, memorable, stress-free wedding dress shopping experience!

J Major's is hands down the best place to go if you're looking for a great experience and beautiful, unique dress. The overall experience was just wonderful. The appointments are 2 hour time slots, which is definitely more than enough time to find your dream dress (I tried on about 12 dresses in an hour). They only schedule 2 appointments at a time, and you will have almost half the store to yourself. I brought 6 people with me and there was room for everyone! They listen to what you are looking for and suggest what brands they think you may be interested in, but ultimately you get to choose the dresses you want to try on by tagging the dresses. They also have the price on the dresses which I LOVED. No surprises when you go to try on a dress and then find out its out of your budget. They also are extremely flexible with what they can do to personalize your dress. I was considered that the mesh on my dress was too light, and Heather texted the designer while I was standing there to confirm that the mesh could be changed- talk about amazing customer service. Once I found the dress, they gave us champagne to celebrate. My experience at J Major's was everything I envisioned dress shopping would be. Highly recommend!

J Majors was the second bridal shop I went to and it had exactly the boutique feel and customer service that I was looking for and didn’t get in the first shop. CJ was awesome to work with and she totally got my vision for the type of dress I wanted and what did and didn’t work for my body. She was awesome and super friendly to me and my family. When I found the right top and the right bottom style on two different dresses CJ suggested getting a custom design in order to get the best of both in one dress. The fitting process was fun and easy, the dress turned out beautiful, and I was offered a discount for dress cleaning and preservation after my wedding. Definitely recommend!

I found the dress of my dreams at J Majors thanks to their patient and knowledgeable staff! The staff at J. Majors was so accommodating and easy to work with. They let me try on as many dresses as I wanted and allowed me to come back multiple times until I found the perfect Jenny Yoo dress with a belt by Erin Grey Couture. They were easy to communicate with and had my dress ready and waiting when we picked it up for portraits and for the wedding. I bumped into the owner, CJ, at the alterations place and she was so helpful and gave me the opinions I needed from a professional! My shopping experience here was perfect and I highly recommend them!

I had been to several other wedding dress shops before I went to JMajor's. None of the others gave me that fun experience I was looking for. Sadly my bridesmaids are located all over so I was bummed when I had to go on this appointment alone. From the minute I walked in I never like I was in the process by myself. Caroline was my stylist and she was informative and so helpful. I felt like at other places no one was listening to my budget and it was very frustrating. She never once pressured me into trying on dresses she knew I couldn't afford. She also was happy to take multiple pictures of me in every single dress I liked so I could send them to my mom since I had no one there with me. I found the dress of my dreams and truly have Jmajor to thank for that!

First and foremost; I love J. Majors and the lovely ladies that work there. The day of my appointment I didn't think J Majors would have the dress for me because I thought I had found "the one" the day before at another bridal salon. I actually said to my mother "J Majors would have to blow me away for me not to go back at get that gown" referring to "the one" I thought I found.

First off the salon is beautiful, bright and airy, with perfect feminine touches. They have a wonderful selection dresses as well as accessories without being overwhelming. The dresses were organized by designer (if I remember correctly), so make sure to look at the price if you don't want to fall in love with a dress out of your price range. Speaking of which, they have a nice price range from very affordable, below $1,000 to more expensive gowns.

Well, I didn't think J Majors could blow me away with even one gown, but was I wrong. I found 3 that all very well could have been "the one". And in the end I went with one of the gowns I fell in love with at J Majors, a beautiful Watterstoo gown that was almost exactly like my dream designer dress ($$$$$). The dress had an illusion neck that I planned on removing and making the dress strapless. If I couldn't have done that I wouldn't have picked that dress.

Now fast forward to a year later and my first correspondence with my church's wedding coordinator. The church doesn't allow strapless dresses. This is the first time this is mentioned. I was in a total panic, I was just 8 weeks out from my wedding!!! I went to CJ to see if there was anything she could do. First thing she said was "don't worry we got this". She ordered the lace appliques from Watters and the dotted Swiss lace from my dress and designed a beautiful bolero to cover my shoulders. You couldn't tell that it wasn't made by the designer. It was perfect. Throughout my fittings and the shoulder crisis CJ, Polly, and Heidi were there every step of the way!!!

Preparing for a wedding can be crazy and stressful but there are amazing aspects, being a sappy lover of romantic comedies and Say Yes to the Dress I was looking forward to finding the dress! Stepping into J. Major's was nothing short of the movie moment I’ve always dreamed of! The atmosphere of the shop is incredible, the girls that work there are absolutely amazing they make you feel so welcome. I had an appointment and was first asked what I was looking for, ideas I had then I got a tour around the shop and was explained different gowns and designers. I was given little tags to tag dresses I wanted to try on, and my stylist looked around and picked out a few for me as well. The whole process was incredible the stylist was great, she helped me in and out of dresses and fluffed them when I got in front of the mirror. When I found the dress it was everything I thought it would be, after all the excitement was over about the dress she asked if I was going to wear a veil and I said yes and she walk away and came back with the prefect one for my dress! I was measured and got a chance to meet the owner who is so sweet and has a contagious smile! The thing about J. Major's is that it doesn’t stop there, they had my dress transported to and from the alterations place, when it was time for my bridal portraits they steamed the dress and had it ready for me to pick up. After that they housed my dress and veil until my big day, when I got the dress it was put on a form and it had a sweet note on it as well! The ladies at J. Major's are completely top notch! I worked with Heather and she was so wonderful in helping me find THE dress! Their selection is outstanding and they have a little bit of something for everyone. I wound up getting everything but my bridal shoes from J. Major's! CJ assisted in my alterations for the big day - and she got that thing to fit me like a glove - it was as if it was custom-made. I had a kind of tight deadline, but the timeliness of all of my items was perfect. I truly enjoyed my experience working with them - they were a complete joy! I highly recommend their shop!!

J. Majors Bridal Boutique is the only bridal boutique you will ever need to visit in the Charlotte area!

Their wide range of gown styles and budgets will suit just about anyone. It has been my experience that every staff member I have encountered has been nothing short of amazing, attentive, and encouraging. I did do quite a bit of browsing online before my initial visit, so I had exactly what I wanted in mind, which was lace, beading, and a silhouette that was fitted in the right places. My consultant showed me around and helped me with the designers that could offer the style I sought. I purchased the Enzoani Jaime gown, which I fell in love with online and had all my desired details perfected and more. Of course, I needed a little extra time just to be sure, as it came with a hefty price tag, but my consultant was patient, kind, and told me to take as long as I needed. It took me no time to bite the bullet because it was most certainly the one, and I knew that CJ’s team would take great care of me. CJ, the boutique’s owner, took my measurements, and her advice helped me make a decision that I quite possibly could have regretted in the end. Various consultants communicated with me throughout the entire process and notified me immediately once my gown came in. They even delivered it to the alterations shop and then prepped it for my wedding day, and they have been great resources for local drycleaners and preservationists.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the ladies at J. Majors Bridal Boutique, and I would most certainly recommend them to anyone!

I really enjoyed my experience with J. Major's. My family and friends came with me to find my gown, and the sales lady ensured we all had a great time! They were on top of things throughout the process of ordering and preparing my gown for the big day, even going so far as to deliver and pick up my dress from the alterations place! Everyone there was helpful and friendly. Their selection of gowns is also great, I loved perusing every time I went to the store! I also ordered my bridesmaids gowns from them, which was easy as well. Overall, I loved my experience and would refer any bride to J. Majors!

I loved my experience at J Majors! I had been several times before with friends who were getting married so I knew the quality of the service before I went for my bridal gown. They were the first salon I went to and I found lots of beautiful dresses to try on and narrowed it down to two. I went to two other salons but always kept coming back to one of those dresses in my mind. I ended up going back by myself and tried on the dress again and purchased it that day. I always felt like I received very personal service. I went back and got my veil there when I tried on my dress for the first time after it arrived in the store. I also had my bridesmaids order their dresses through the salon as they were given a discount since I got my dress there. Everything was wonderful! The dress was perfect as was the veil and the bridesmaid dresses were just what I was hoping for (since I didn't see them in the actual color I chose until they came in for the girls). I can't recommend J Majors enough! They don't do in-house alterations but can recommend somewhere to go. They steamed my dress before my bridal portraits and then before the wedding so it looks great!

I loved the experience of working with J Major Bridal Boutique! I went in two separate times to look at wedding dresses and they were so helpful. The store was up to date on all the current trends of dresses yet they were all so timeless. They let me take my time and did not rush me on making a decision. After we did alterations next door and they delivered it to there and brought it back to be cleaned before our big day! When I went to pick up the dress they carried it to my car and examined it all before I left. I even got my bridesmaids dresses from J Majors, there was a wide variety to choose from and we got to customize the color for my wedding.

I bought my wedding dress at J. Major's and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. I was coming from out of state and meeting my best friend, who is also engaged, to shop for gowns together. They allowed us to schedule appointments together, along with both of our families. The atmosphere is elegant but relaxed. The bridal consultants were very attentive, but not pushy at all. I bought a dress, my friend did not, but I felt we were both treated with exceptional service and attention. I like that they allowed us to browse the gowns on our own, to see and feel the gowns, and to look at prices so that we could choose what we felt comfortable with as far as budget, without any pressure or up-selling. This was the first and only bridal store I went to that operated this way, and it was a very refreshing approach. (Be aware of the designers they carry and the price tags that come with them, but their prices are fair for the lovely gowns they carry. They also have an impressive selection of sample dresses that are worth checking for a bargain!)
Once I ordered my dress, they kept me updated about the status and were very responsive to questions I had via email. When the dress arrived in their store, they shipped it to me (because I was out of state), and it arrived at my front door in perfect condition, the next day! The selection was impressive, the service was fabulous, and the dress is perfect. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

After visiting 3 other bridal stores in Charlotte, J. Major's was a breath of fresh air. They were so helpful. Every dress I put on was absolutely stunning. I had an absolutely fabulous experience with J. Majors and especially with my wedding consultant, Polly!! From the moment we walked in, we felt taken care of. Polly gave us her honest opinion and we were able to find the PERFECT dress.

We were in between ordering our bridesmaid dresses online or going through J. Majors, and I was SO HAPPY we went through J. Majors. All we had to do was provide the bridesmaids with the J. Majors order form and our dress selection, and each bridesmaid was able to order separately through J. Majors. This was much appreciated because I didn't have to do a lot of the back and forth coordination between the boutique and bridesmaids. If you're thinking about ordering your dresses online instead of through a boutique, you will DEFINITELY want to go through a boutique like J. Majors.

I had some last minute alterations done, and three days before the wedding I needed to have my dress steamed... Unfortunately, J. Majors was closed that day for an inventory, but they opened up for me so they could steam my dress, which was SO APPRECIATED!!!

I only wish I could do it all over again!

I had a great experience at Jmajors! I tried on several dresses and found out that there was a sample sale coming up. Polly helped pick dresses that fit what I was looking for and also in budget. She also helped me determine which dresses would be part of the sale. On the day of the sale, I was able to pick up a Lea Ann Belter dress for a steal! It needed some work, but it's now as good as new after alterations and cleaning!

I could not be more happy with my experience with J Majors. My mom and I came to just look at dresses and I had no intention of finding or buying a dress. CJ did not pressure me at all and encouraged me to try a multitude of styles to make sure I was certain what I was looking for in my dress. They accommodated me on a couple occasions, sometimes with very short notice, as I came in to narrow down my choices. I finally settled on an amazing dress which I could not love more. I was also fortunate enough to find my bridesmaids dresses through J Majors and my girls received a discount since I purchased my dress. Every time I have called with a question or request, the staff has been incredibly accommodating. I love these girls!

Wonderful experience. My appointment was a very positive. The ladies there allowed my bridesmaid and I time to look through every gown on our own without pressure! Once we pulled dresses the sales associate helped me get in and out of each gown in a timely manor (not rushing but helping move things along). After getting a sense of what I wanted she pulled more gowns that I had overlooked. She styled a few looks to help me see the potential. The store is lovely, clean and sophisticated.

The team at J.Major's was the best! They helped so much once I came in for an initial meeting to find my dress. Once we reviewed my body type and what would look good on me, they searched the racks along with me and together we found my perfect dress! They were so knowledgable about fabrics, fit, level set my expectations in terms of ordering and timeframe that allowed me to know what was coming next. Once I scheduled fittings they were so accomodating. The salon is beautiful and I always felt at home there. They strive to make every experience unique. I can't say enough great things about the ladies that work there. They were so friendly and helpful. My dress didn't fit correctly and CJ kept working with me until it was perfect. J Majors was wonderful to work with. I traveled 4 hours to see them because they were the closest store that carries Claire Pettibone gowns. They were able to get, on loan, several (but not all) of the dresses that I wanted to try. I was able to take all the time I needed, try as many dresses as I thought I needed until I was satisfied I'd found the right one, and they were very helpful in following up with the manufacturer when my dress shipment was delayed and the wedding was getting closer and closer. I wholeheartedly recommend them and would love to see more brides wearing Claire Pettibone!

Love it! I went to their winter sample sale because I love a good deal and I am more of an independent shopper. The staff was still on hand and very helpful. The dresses out were well organized and easy to sort through. What really set this salon apart was their ability to defuse a delicate situation. Like most girls I took my mom shopping and of course she liked one dress and while it was a goregous dress it was simply to full for my smaller frame. She thought it looked more like a wedding dress than the simpler dress I liked. The owner was right there to talk it out with us and put me back in both dresses properly pinned up and showed mom how we could dress up the simpler dress and while the bigger dress was simply too much for me. I walked away with a beautifully Mikaella dress that would normaly cost $1400 for only $350! Unlike some other salons, J Majors still considers you "their bride" even if you buy a dress at a sample sale. They were still available for fittings and questions as needed. The salon is so nice and the staff is so helpful, its a brides dream!

I LOVE J. Majors! I will miss going to see the girls! It was a wonderful experience from the initial shopping day, through buying the dress, (& bridesmaids dresses) through alterations and pick up! The shop is gorgeous and the ladies who work there are knowledgeable and sweet. They truly make you feel like you and your wedding dress area always their #1 priority! I got so many compliments on my dress and my bridesmaids dresses - even weeks after the wedding. It was a fabulous experience!!

What an excellent bridal boutique! They treated me like I was the only bride they had every time I stepped into their boutique. The girls are lovely and are well trained. I made up every excuse to make a trip up there!

I love having every excuse to go visit the girls over at J Majors! They are very professional and very knowledgeable! I felt like #1 customer everytime I stepped through those magical doors! They are super friendly and you won't get any snotty attitudes!

I got my bridesmaid's dresses from J. Majors and was absolutely impressed with the quality of service they provided. We went in without an appointment and they still managed to fit us in and spend hours looking through various dresses. The dress I ended up getting was one that the owner of the shop suggested. I never would have looked twice at it but it was at a lower price point than some of other dresses we tried on and the owner of the shop was convinced it would be perfect for my wedding. She was absolutely right. I would recommend J. Majors to anyone just for the experience

I got my bridesmaids' dresses here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of personal service and advice. They took extra steps to rush orders for my wedding and I was very pleased with the outcome. Would recommend to any bride!

After shopping at 5 other stores, I finally found my dress at JMajors. None of the other stores I went to had the selection that they did! I fell in love with my dress during my first appointment with them, but did not come back to purchase it until a few weeks later. They were so accommodating during both appointments. They kept in good communication during the few months between when I purchased the dress and when it arrived. When my veil arrived incorrect, they quickly had the correct veil shipped in and made everything stress-free for me! They had both my dress and veil ready for every fitting and steamed & packaged for pickup a few days before my wedding.

I went with my mom and sister to try on dresses at J Majors. What I originally wanted in a dress turned out to be not what looked good on me, and the consultants patiently worked with us while I tried on a TON of different styles. They really took the time to listen to what I was looking for and make recommendations. I never felt pressured to make a purchase. They have a GREAT selection - they've got all the trends you could want as well as classic styles. After the purchase, the alterations process was smooth and beautifully done by their in house tailor. When my mom came to pick up my dress, they had it perfectly pressed and ready to go! They even steamed my veil even though I didn't purchase it from them for free! All the consultants are incredibly sweet women and made me feel calm through the whole process! Love J Majors!

I'm so in love with my Lula Kate dress from J. Major's because they helped me create a one-of-a-kind dress by making changes to the original design! When I tried on my dress, I almost instantly imagined the top as a plain shell rather than decorated with the same organza that covered the skirt. The woman working with me told me my idea was totally doable. She helped me get the closest idea of the look possible by having me try on an ivory silk bridesmaid dress, folding the top of the bridal gown into the skirt, and then putting the skirt overtop the bridesmaid dress. I was so impressed with the lengths she went to to help me create the look I wanted. She also suggested a gorgeous sash to go with the dress. The owner, CJ, worked with me each time on the major changes I wanted to make to the top of my dress when it came in. She was so knowledgeable, and I felt completely comfortable with having her make drastic changes to my dress. All my bridesmaids, my mom and my grandmother also got their dresses here! They were really great with following up with everyone to make sure alterations were done in time, and they also had several bridesmaid dress styles sent to the store so we could see them in person. There were a few things I was disappointed with - there was confusion about when the alterations to the length of my dress were supposed to be finished, so they ended up not being done in time for my bridal portraits. Some of the pictures look silly because the dress is so long. Afterward, it took three more appointments to get the length right. I ended up not taking the dress home until two weeks before the wedding, and because I didn't live very close, driving back so many times was inconvenient. If you have flexibility with your appointments, try to book them with the same associate each time. If your appointment is on one of their busy days, give yourself plenty of extra time. Because of their great selection and expertise, I would definitely recommend J. Major's!

I had a great experience working with Kate at J Majors. She was helpful without being pushy. They were flexibile in appointment times, called to let me know when everything was in - normally much earlier than expected. CJ saved the day on my alterations. I had to pick up my dress in a blinding rainstorm - they packaged it so that it was safe - (literally 2 inches of rain in an hour). That fact alone deserves 5 stars.

I ended up falling in love with a dress at J Majors and I was overall happy with my experience with them. I worked mostly with CJ (and some with Kate but Kate didn't seem to remember me when I went in for fittings). I loved CJ - she is so sweet and gets really excited for all her brides. The store is really pretty and they have a good selection of mid-range priced dresses. The alterations were a little pricey and the bussle on my dress broke after about 30 minutes of dancing so I'd suggest going to an independent alterations person that you trust. For me, I chose the dress and not the store and I think that's how it is for most brides but J Majors was definitely a great vendor and I'd suggest going in to see if they have something you like.

This was the shop that we found my wedding dress. I bought out-of-state (I live in Michigan, they are in North Carolina) while visiting my grandmother. They were able to incorporate shipping, and sent the dress as soon as it arrived. My consultant was great to work with, and had some really great ideas to make the dresses "mine" rather than just off the rack. She was also very knowledgable about the designers and about what changes different designers would make to their gowns (availability of different fabrics/colors, or different lace patters, accessories also made by the designer, etc). It was agreat day, and I loved my dress--I felt like a princess.

Having been a debutante in high school I came into bridal shopping with some previous experience. Compared to other dress shops in the area I found J Major to have a fairly large and varied selection both in prices and styles. The assistants were all very friendly and easy to work with. After a brief introduction to J Major we were given tags and free reign of the store to flag dresses to try on. I never felt pressured to purchase a dress or to push my budget beyond where I was comfortable. I ended up falling in love with an Erin Grey Couture gown from her two-piece separates line. Since the owner of the store designs this particular line I had the opportunity to sit down with her a few weeks later to customize the dress of my dreams. While my first fitting did not go as planned due to some discrepancies in fabric choices J Major worked tirelessly to ensure the end product was nothing short of perfect. After some back and forth troubleshooting my dress ended up exactly as I had always imagined. I can say despite a little frustration and lots of patience I would not trade my experience with J Major or my dress.

I found my wedding dress at J Majors! It was so easy to set up an appointment online, and they didn't rush me at all while I was there. There were tons of dresses to chose from, well within my price range as well. I was lucky enough to be there during a sample sale and got a great deal on my wedding dress. Penny made my mom, bridesmaids and I very welcomed through the entire process. I bought my veil a few months later through them, just through the phone and they had my dress and the veil I tried on, on file. I would highly suggest anyone in the Charlotte area to stop by!

J. Majors was a great place to shop for a wedding dress. They take you around, show you the different desigeners and styles of dresses, then you go and place markers on the dresses you want them to bring to your dressing room. They pin you and you come out on a pedastool and you get the 360 view of the dress. One girl was assigned to me and she was very helpful and nice. I also got my bridesmaids/flowergirls dresses from there as well. They have a great selection of desiger dresses as well as deifferent styles. Would highly reccomend.

There are too may great things to name about this place! They were very friendly, attentive funny and yet still very professional. All of your consultants attention is on you. We went on a Tues I don't know if that had anything to do with it but all of her attention was on us. She didn't pressure us to buy anything gave the perfect amount of time to browse on our own but was right there if we had any questions or needed advice. My best friend bought her dress that day and I will be back to get mine since my wedding is still over a year away.

I bought my dress and my brides maids dresses from Jay Majors. I was so happy with the very first dress I tried on. The staff was warm and welcoming. The number 1 reason I got married was because of my dress, I love it!! The only (slightly) negative thing I can say about J Majors is I sometimes felt like I was not as important as other brides because I already knew what I wanted. But I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asked!

Great selection of beautiful dresses!

I had a great experience at J Major’s. My consultant was very chill and low pressure. There were many beautiful gowns to choose from but not too many that it felt overwhelming. The appointment was fun and didn’t feel like I was being oversold on anything. I ended up buying my dress there and the staff always came through. From alterations and cleaning recommendations to pressing my dress before the big day, J Majors took care of me! Thank you!
