I am throwing my hat in the ring of HUNDREDS of happy couples and organizations who’ve used J. Hill Events for their event. Jan was my wedding planner for our big day this fall and here’s the one thing you’ve gotta know for sure: I could NOT have done this without her! She is the quintessential, highly knowledgeable, extremely well-connected, efficient, creative, elegant and professional planner. Even though I ended up doing my wedding in a city where she had zero connections, she still was able to work her magic and help me have the best day ever between a mix of old and new vendors alike. Not only does she come with all the great ideas you never thought of, but she’s there for you professionally, mentally and emotionally as well. Jan was the best sounding board for me during our planning months, she intuitively understood the type of bride I was and where she really shined was on the day-of the event. She was the reason I was able to magically float throughout my day unbothered, happy and enjoying every moment! She tackled problems I didn’t even know existed - the hallmark of a great planner! She paused amidst the whirlwind that is a wedding to tell me how stunning I looked. Every single detail was expertly handled without me having to touch a thing. I can’t say enough good things about Jan, other than she is phenomenal and you would be so LUCKY to have her as your planner! -

Jan is fantastic!!! She is so detailed, wise, experienced and CALM!!! Which is everything a frantic bride with the stress of a bigger wedding than planned begins to materialize. Being a “Quarantine Bride” really had its challenges and Jan was so sweet, understanding and most of all flexible. She helped our 250 country club wedding turn to a 11 person small wedding with over 200 guests via Zoom, and it was so beautiful! Jan is fantastic! So whether you are a bride with a clear vision or a bride who doesn’t have a clue J.Hill Events is the place for you!!! -
Taylar Sent on 04/22/2018Working with Jan was what can I say, “life changing”. We’d gone through hell and back with our wedding planning prior to being introduced to this magnificent person. From natural disasters, to lazy planners, venue issues and so much more. We hired her for month of and somehow she managed to pick up all the pieces and run with them. Beautifully assembling our pile of mess to what turned out to be the most amazing day of our lives. She worked with a ton of vendors to turn a huge airplane hangar into a dreamy wedding and graciously herding our wedding guests the day of. Take it from someone who has experienced multiple wedding planners, Jan is and was the best. Hands down. We love you Jan and thank you so very, very much for all that you did for James and I. We’re still dreaming about all that you made possible.

Jennifer Sent on 04/01/2013What can I say about Jan McBee?... On a scale of 1-10, she is an 11!!! We hired Jan very late in the game-- only about a month before our wedding. We thought we could get away without a day-of coordinator, but as the day got closer and closer, we realized just how necessary she was! So with one short month to plan, she jumped right in and helped us in planning and thinking about all the details that we probably would have never thought about. She helped us out by meeting at times and places that were convenient for us. She was prompt in all of her responses be it by email, text, phone, etc.. She jumped on conference calls with me and my venue to work out some last minute kinks. So-- all of this, not to mention, the day of--- It is because of Jan that our day ran as smoothly as it did. She knows what she is doing, she runs things with grace, is polite, calming to the bridal party, and gets things done! Above all, she is just a great person! I could tell she sincerely cares about the couples she works with and loves what she does. Her kind words to my husband and I the night before our wedding meant the world to us! Jan, we loved working with you and I would recommend you to anyone!!!!! Thank you!!! -

Tammy Sent on 07/30/2012Jan was an absolutely joy to work with. Initially, I didn't know what direction I wanted to take, but she helped envision exactly what I wanted and helped make it come true. She's extremely creative and such a visionary. I set specific timelines for planning my wedding within 6 months, and she helped me achieve everyone with minimal to no stress. Jan is very flexible and dependable. If you need to make any changes, she goes above and beyond to accommodate. She answered every question I had, thoroughly. Her passion for this business simply shines through her smile and personality in a way I've never seen before. She really cares about her clients and their needs. If you need to talk about anything, whether it be about your wedding or not, she's there to listen, and that's a rare gift for those brides who are stressed during the planning process. Several people told me that I was one of the calmest brides they've seen. Although I'm fairly mild mannered, I owe a lot of my calmness to Jan. Because of her professionalism, knowledge of the wedding industry AND taking time to get to really know me, I had absolutely NO worries on my wedding day. I knew I was in good hands. I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day. Everything and everyone was beautiful, and we had so much fun! I owe it all to Jan. She's the best!!
