  More than just a photographer, we couldn't recommend Jimi enough!!

  Working with Jimi was absolutely fantastic. He was so personable and friendly throughout the entire experience - from prior to our engagement session and throughout our wedding planning process and most importantly, on our wedding day. He worked with our timeline to make the most of our wedding day and capture the most gorgeous photos. We were blown away by the shots he was able to capture, and couldn't be happier with how our wedding gallery turned out. He was able to provide us with such a quick turn around for an amazing quality and number of photos. I could not recommend using Jimi enough, he was able to capture the joy of such a special and important day and he was wonderful to work with!

  Highly recommended photographer!

  Jimi was a breeze to work with and did an amazing job shooting our 70-person wedding! He raced around our venue to get our first look and portraits finished before a rainstorm arrived, and captured our day beautifully. My husband hates getting photographed and Jimi made us both feel comfortable. Cherry on top is that he got our photos back to us within a week! Highly recommend!

  Amazing photographer!

  Jimi is incredible. He was the photographer for our wedding on 10/7/23, and we couldn’t be happier with how the pictures came out! We looked at quite a few photographers in the area and no one could compete with the quality or value of Jimi’s craft. It was an added bonus that he was familiar with our venue Mountainville Manor as well. If you are getting married in the Hudson Valley, or anywhere around the area, I can’t recommend him enough!

  There was never a doubt in my mind that I had to pick Jimi to be my wedding photographer.

  There was never a doubt in my mind that I had to book Jimi to be my wedding photographer. I am obsessed with each and everyone of my pictures.
  Jimi is an artist through and through, and I put my trust in him completely. I chose Jimi because I love his style, and how each one of his pictures is a work of art. He sees things in a way like no other, and I 100% recommend just letting him do his thing. He knows a good shot when he see’s it, and each one of my pictures are better than the rest.

  The best!!!!

  We had Jimi and his assistant Steve capture our wedding a few weekends ago and I cannot express our gratitude enough. Jimi was wonderful to work with from start to finish - easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful beyond measure. We could not be happier that we chose him to capture our day. His passion and skill are evident in the first conversations with him, and they only continue to shine through on both the day of the wedding and in all of the photos. I was able to relax and enjoy the day knowing that all of our special moments were being captured. We received so many incredible photos from our wedding day and truly cannot stop looking over them. Jimi captured not only our posed photos, which we adore, but incredible candids throughout the entire day. I have not stopped looking through the pictures and feeling like I am reliving the day each time. Jimi also took the time to capture the smaller details of our day, which are so special to look back on. We have wonderful pictures of the venue, our flowers, the cake, the decor, etc. that I can look back on and cherish. We truly cannot recommend Jimi enough and will without a doubt be using him again to capture any future events.

  I was never the girl who had a dream wedding. But there was one thing I knew. Jimi Ferrara had to be the photographer at my wedding! Jimi was such a pleasure to work with. He had great ideas, poses, and angles. IThe pictures turned out great! I will definitely be recommending him to friends and family.

  We wanted the best photographer for our wedding and when we met Jimi we knew we found just that. He was professional, flexible, and responsive. He knew what we wanted and he delivered. Our photos are phenomenal.

  Some girls dream of the dress, some dream of the flowers, I always dreamt about my wedding photos. Studying animation and motion graphics in college, I’ve always been extremely particular about how photos look. Besides marrying my best friend, having the most amazing photos was the number one on my list. I am over the moon estate about the photos that Natalie and Jimi took of my wedding. I’m beyond impressed with their professionalism, how relaxed they made everyone feel, and above all, the jaw dropping absolutely gorgeous photos they produced. When they sent they wedding preview, we were currently driving home from our wedding in New York (we live in the midwest) and I made my husband pull off to a rest stop so we could look at them together. Gorgeous does not even begin to describe the photos that were given to us. Nothing was missed either, having both of these talented photographers work on my wedding was such a joy and blessing. Scrolling through the her 1300 photos, I was able to see moments I missed, see happy faces, and see myself enjoying the start of my beautiful marriage. I think giving Natalie free range (my list of what I absolutely wanted was small) ended up being better in my favor! There are a few shots that are bind blowing, my favorite being of one they took with an umbrella, which f you are looking through their gallery, you cannot miss it! If anyone is looking for a photographer in the Hudson Valley, or even in other states, I would recommend Natalie and Jimi a million times over! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they really were a 10/10! Thank you both for helping capture these precious moments of the best day of my life!

  Hiring Jimi and Natalie was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. My father is a retired wedding photographer, and I've seen some of the ugly that can happen in the process. I didn't experience any of that with Jimi! He was super energetic and professional, punctual and highly skilled. Both he and Natalie were fantastic the day of my wedding, not in the way at all- yet they captured so many great moments! My wedding day was one of the best days of my life- and Jimi and Natalie really, truly captured all of it. They were quite patient through the family portraits and managed to still get all the other shots we were after. The entire process was truly a great experience, from the signing of the contract even through today, months afterwards! My photos are stunning, I feel like a rockstar and my family and friends were also super impressed. Investing in photography for your wedding may seem daunting, but J. Ferrara Photography is worth every penny.

  My husband and I are so thrilled with our wedding pictures. The love that we have for each other was truly captured in every single picture, it is going to be hard to pick for our album!   Jimi and Natalie were amazing! They were great to work with throughout the whole wedding process. They were assertive when they needed to be at the wedding but still kept the situation cool and calm. We have been to other people's weddings where the photographer doesn't have the ability to get people together for group shots and it can be very stressful and frustrating. This was definitely not the case with Jimi and Natalie! They kept everyone moving and got in a ton of family pictures in a short time frame. We have just started to receive our pictures and they are amazing! We can't wait to see more! They are a great team and we definitely recommend them for any event!

  I was looking for a photographer for my wedding on 4/26/14. I came across Jimi's website and immediately knew I wanted him to photograph my wedding. When my fiance and I met him in person, it was just further confirmation that he was extremely talented and easy to work with. We instantly clicked and I had total confidence that he would deliver beautiful pictures.
  
  The day of the wedding ended up being rainy, but JImi was so great working with us knowing the one thing I wanted were outdoor pictures of the venue. (I chose Ramsey Country Club primarlily because of the beautiful grounds and stone castle) Every time the rain let up a bit, Jimi led us outside to take as many shots as we could. We did this a few times, and I am so appreciative that he did that. It showed how flexible he was with having to change his equipment to be inside or out, risking his equipment getting wet, and caring about his clients' wishes. He works very quickly and just snaps away. He has quite an eye because you don't even feel like it's 'work' having to pose this way or that. And that's the confidence I meant - he just knows what areas and shots will work best.
  
  The pictures were available to us so quickly, I think about 2-3 weeks after the wedding. Every picture came out beautifully and captured our personalities and our love for each other. I am so thankful to Jimi and his assistant for doing such a great job photographing our special day.
  
  Needless to say, I highly recommend J. Ferrara Photography!

(I chose Ramsey Country Club primarlily because of the beautiful grounds and stone castle) Every time the rain let up a bit, Jimi led us outside to take as many shots as we could. We did this a few times, and I am so appreciative that he did that. It showed how flexible he was with having to change his equipment to be inside or out, risking his equipment getting wet, and caring about his clients' wishes. He works very quickly and just snaps away. He has quite an eye because you don't even feel like it's 'work' having to pose this way or that. And that's the confidence I meant - he just knows what areas and shots will work best.
  
  The pictures were available to us so quickly, I think about 2-3 weeks after the wedding. Every picture came out beautifully and captured our personalities and our love for each other. I am so thankful to Jimi and his assistant for doing such a great job photographing our special day.

  J. Ferrara Photography came highly recommended to me by Vargas Productions the DJs who MCd my wedding. I was planing a wedding in NY from San Francisco so it was really important to find for me to find a photographer that was really easy to work with. Jimi the photographic genius behind J. Ferrara definitely fit that criteria.
  
  Jimi and his photo partner Natalie were like ninjas. Totally blending in with the crowd taking some amazing photos. Jimi really has a way of bringing out the best in a shot. i.e. He had us take photos in front of the main entrance of the hotel the reception was taking place. In my mind I'm like I'm really curious to see how this will look like in the photo and wow I was shocked. The entrance of the hotel didn't look anything special but with his portable lighting technics he made it look magical.
  
  Another magical thing from J.Ferrara was their turn around time. HOLY COW! I thought it would take at least a month to get the photos back but wow in 2 weeks he was able to get my photos back to me so quickly.

He was worth every dime. If you want your wedding album to look like every picture should be in a magazine, then he's your guy. I didn't even notice him there most of the time, and yet the photos were absolutely stunning! Neither the groom nor I have ever been photogenic, but our pictures turned out beautifully. He does amazing things with camera angles and lighting that I can't begin to describe. He processed our photos very quickly (in about a week or so), and there are a variety of options if you're trying to keep costs low on the album. Highly recommended!

He has a great eye and amazing talent. There is nothing generic about any of our wedding photos. Everyone who has seen the online proofs has been as blown away as we were. As soon as we found out the photos were online, we sat at lunch on our honeymoon and scrolled through the photos on our iPhones and kept showing each other ones we loved. We are going to have a REALLY hard time narrowing down the ones for our album. Jimi's photos truly captured the emotion of the day.

  We were extremely happy with Jimi as our wedding photographer. He struck a balance of professionalism and artistry which is exactly what we wanted for our special day. He was super engaged and focused the entire time, high-energy, jumped in with great ideas, and didn't hesitate to get any particular shot we were after. The second photographer (Steve) was also top-notch, offered useful direction, and helped capture some remarkable shots. We'd definitely hire them again and would recommend Jimi to anybody for their wedding or event.

  Wonderful Wedding Photos

  We hired Natalie, Jimi's wife, to shoot our wedding and she was awesome! Both are such fun, high energy people. Since we lived far from our wedding location we weren't able to meet Natalie until our wedding day but just from several phone calls we could tell she would be the perfect person to shoot our wedding because she completely understood our vision. A week before our wedding her assistant had to cancel and she worked with us to make sure she had an assistant there. She captured all of our moments so creatively as well. The only thing I wish she had done differently was smooth some of the pictures a little more. My husband had a huge pimple on his forehead on our wedding day that is very noticeable and I wish that had been edited out of some photos but other than that the pictures were completely perfect. I would definitely recommend them!
