Ian and Savannah were UNREAL. They were amazing pre-wedding and the day of. If I could do it all over again, I'd choose them as my photographers, hands down. They made us feel so comfortable and our pictures turned out amazing. We received so many compliments post-wedding of people saying, "your photographers were the absolute best...and those pictures are stunning." They are truly best-in-class photographers. HIRE THEM! -

My fiance and I LOVED working with Ian!
We vacation to HHI every summer and this trip we scheduled an engagement shoot. We scheduled the shoot for the Monday. As we were arriving to the location the weather took a turn for the worse. Ian snapped a few quick photos and we ran back to our cars. Ian was so accommodating and worked with us all week to reschedule the shoot around the weather. It was very clear that he wanted this to work out for us. Thankfully it did and we were able to have an hour and half session that Wednesday morning! We had so much fun and enjoyed the session. Ian was experimenting with new/different ideas and considered what we wanted as well. We LOVE the photos! They are beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned. Thank you again Ian!
*I want to clarify that Ian only serviced our engagement photos, NOT our wedding. But if we lived and were getting married in South Carolina I would definitely have booked him!* -

When I started looking for a wedding photographer, I did not know where to begin and no idea what style I wanted. IVS photography was highly recommended to me by another photographer and once I saw his work, I was sold. After I contacted Ian, he said he always likes to meet with his couples to make sure that they are a good match with his photography style and personality. Right then, I knew he was totally invested on what each couple wanted to accomplish on their big day verse just being there to capture photos. From engagement pictures to a few coffee meetings leading up to the big day, Ian was amazing! His professionalism, desire to work with all other vendors and outgoing personality is top notch. If you are having any thoughts about Ian doing your wedding or any special event for you, do it. I promise you will be blown away with his work! -

Stop everything you're doing and book this man for your wedding! Ian was an absolute delight to work with. My husband and I wanted a fun and casual vibe throughout our wedding day. We were seeking someone who matched our energy and understood our priorities. Ian listened to our vision, asked really intentional questions, and then completely delivered on adapting to our vision. Not to mention, we were both slightly nervous about the cliches of some wedding photography and didn't know how comfortable we would feel doing "photo shoots." If you are like us then I highly recommend working with him.
Throughout the planning process he gave really great suggestions while being completely open to our ideas and priorities. He was inclusive, open, fun, and present. By the time wedding day arrived we had 100% confidence in him. He blended so nicely into every moment and made everyone feel so comfortable. I hardly even noticed that someone was taking my picture all day. He was incredible shooting with kids and dogs. He had a great eye for noticing if someone looked uncomfortable in a pose or a moment and always, always stopped, acknowledged them, and gave them space to do something that felt more organic. I've been a bridesmaid in 10 weddings and never experienced a photographer who was as perceptive and created such a comfortable environment as Ian.
After the wedding we got so many compliments from friends and family about how much they enjoyed him. Even family members who begged us not to get a photographer raved about him to us after the wedding. Our experience was so positive that we almost left a review before even seeing the pictures. Then we received the pictures and were blown away. They are absolutely perfect. Prior to the wedding we talked a lot about editing; we had asked him to do minimal editing to keep the colors clean and natural and they were exactly what we hoped for. He captured moments that I didn't even notice that he was apart of. To match our vision he did a photo-journal style of shooting so the album feels like the vibe of the party. He got the photos back to us quickly and was super helpful in our printing / album making process.
We are Ian's biggest fans. I loved working with him so much and wish he could have stayed at our wedding after he clocked out and danced with us until 1am. -

Best Wedding Photographer
Ian was amazing to work with! He felt like a friend we’d known forever through the process. So easy to talk too, completely understands what your goal is and executes it! We’re so happy we found him. His work is gorgeous! We couldn’t have had a better photographer. So friendly, so professional! You’ll be in such good hands. An added bonus, he knew the best recommendations for us! We went with a coordinator he had previously worked with Trish Beck. The two were amazing! I don’t know what I would have done without them. -

So happy we went with IVS!
I was so nervous to pick a wedding photographer because I had such high expectations on our wedding photos.... and since I am not from HHI, I was extra nervous planning everything out of state. But I came across Ian’s work on Instagram and he was the only photographer who called and really walked us through what to expect. He was professional and his work was perfection! We treasure our wedding photos so much. Neither my husband or I can imagine our day without Ian, his background in event planning helped us multiple times. He was so fun to have around and very easy to work with. Thanks for making us feel so special and giving us such beautiful pictures! -

I had an amazing experience with Ian, he was so personable, and really executed on all of my input and thoughts about how I wanted the pictures to go! Ian was wonderful to work with! He got all of the shots we wanted, helped keep unruly family members in line, and rolled with the punches.
Our wedding day started with rain which shortened our already tight window for photographs before the ceremony. Ian was able to get some shots inside working with the reception decor until the rain died down. He even stayed past our agreed upon time frame to get back the outdoor time we missed. I'm so glad he was willing to be flexible as those last pictures are some of my favorites!
Ian is super personable and professional. I would absolutely recommend him to any couple for their wedding day! -

Ian was fantastic to work with! We’ve only seen some of the preview photos but we couldn’t be happier! My husband and I weren’t feeling well on our wedding day but Ian made sure the photos don’t show that at all. We also hired a videographer and Ian worked really well alongside him and I appreciated the collegiality. Highly recommend Ian! -

Ian captured our day beautifully and with style!!
When Ben & I found Ian's website we knew he was the photographer for us! Every section of his website, his 'welcome packet' for new clients and all of his email correspondence showed his personality and professionalism. Ben and I took an instant liking to Ian and knew whole-heartedly that he would do a perfect job. From our very first email, his response wasn't like a random, corporate vendor answering in inquiry. He was a real person who understood that every aspect about someone's wedding day should fit their style and vision.
We were a couple on a budget and made that clear to Ian upfront. He wasted no time talking to us about how we could customize our photo package and what aspects of the day meant the most to us. Because he took so much thought and care into what WE wanted, we knew that even on a budget, or photographs were going to be stunning. I should also say Ian hadn't shot at our venue before. While this may be a red flag or deal breaker for some, Ian took initiate and went to the venue and even made an appointment to meet with our wedding planner! He learned the ins and outs of the venue and totally did his homework. That alone was priceless to us and our families.
Ian exceeded all of our expectations during the planning stages and when it came time for our "big day" he continued to excel. Not only did he make the groom and I feel at ease on such a big day, but our families as well! We felt so comfortable around him and the way he so effortlessly maneuvered between sites pre-ceremony.
We just received our final gallery of images from our wedding and we cannot stop looking at them. From the most epic shot of us on the beach at sunset to the quiet moments of Ben and I savoring some quiet time alone, Ian captured it perfectly. We cannot wait to order an album from Ian to that we can continue to relive the day through his documentation.

Ian is a true artist. His drive and passion for his work was recognized within just a few minutes of him working with everyone. He was able to make everyone feel relaxed, and encouraged everyone to be themselves, which ultimately made if such a pleasure having him be a key part of my special day. His style and personality were a perfect match for the kind of photos My now New husband and I Wanted. (Candid, Genuine, & alittle moody)
On top of capturing all the small details he made sure of my over all well being in the midst of everything going by reassuring me that everything was going as planned and even making sure I had everything I needed.
It ment the world to me having him put forth so much effort for us, and with that being said.
I recommend Ian and his amazing talent to everyone for all occasions
