Exceeded our Wedding Photo Expectations

Ivory + Bliss are absolutely incredible. From our first consultation, to our engagement photos, and now our wedding album - I am just blown away. Lindsay and Karlee are such a dynamic team, they truly are so fun to work with and are incredible at what they do. Karlee was our primary photographer, and let me tell you -- you don't need 2 photographers when you have a Karlee around. Karlee was the most amazing person the day of our wedding -- so kind, energetic, and she still ran a tight ship to make sure we got every shot imaginable. We received so many breathtaking photos from Karlee that I had such a hard time picking out photos for our house -- there were that many I wanted to cherish forever. I+B will be my first and only call for all photos for the rest of forever. For your wedding, invest in an amazing photographer and start with Lindsay and Karlee. You won't regret it.

Amazing, timeless photography

When planning for our wedding, we knew photos were a top priority for my husband and I. After so much planning, the photos and videos are the only memories you are left with, so it was super important to us to trust someone fully with photographing our day. Entering… Ivory+Bliss! Where do I even begin! Kayley and Karlee (and Lindsay!) were incredible to work with for our November 2019 wedding. They are incredibly fun, passionate, professional, and creative people who made our wedding day photos a breeze (even when we were behind schedule!) I have been a long-time follower of Ivory+Bliss long before we got engaged and the second we did, I reached out to them because I knew I wanted them to photograph our wedding. Not only does Ivory+Bliss have an obvious amazing eye for photography, they are wonderful, genuine people to work with - it felt like hanging out with a friend the whole time! They made our entire wedding party extremely comfortable and it never felt like taking photos was a drag. I will (and have!) continue to recommend Ivory+Bliss to any brides that I know. Photographer for LIFE

I stumbled across Ivory + Bliss on Pinterest of all places, and was so happy to find that they were actually local to me. The amazing ladies at Ivory + Bliss made sure to help make my wedding day extra special. Kayley was our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos and can I just say, HEART EYE EMOJI, because wow. She is seriously amazing, I've already booked her for my maternity photos and I know that I will be using her as a photographer for as long as she will take us!

Amazing Photographers and Stunning, Timeless Photos

Booking Ivory+Bliss as my wedding photographer was one of the best decisions I made in my entire wedding planning process! All of the girls at Ivory+Bliss are incredibly talented not only in their photography work, but also in their ability to make you feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera. I specifically worked with Kayley for our engagement and wedding day, and I was SO impressed by her artistry, expertise, and competence. From the first time we met, I felt an immediate connection with her and loved how she made me feel in front of the camera. In the months leading up to our wedding, both Kayley and Lindsay went above and beyond their duties as a photographer and provided much needed advice on timeline development, wedding day details, and decor. On the day of our wedding, Kayley's humor and positive energy made her an instant hit with our friends and family. Capture the Day!

Amazing Photographers!

Ivory and Bliss has captured so many moments of our families lives from newborn photos, numerous family sessions, engagement photos, and our wedding. Every session we are amazed with the gorgeous photos. We get compliments on all of photos Ivory and Bliss has taken that hang on the walls in our house. Those photos make our house a home by capturing the most precious moments of our family. These pictures will last a life time.

With having a young active son who does not always want to sit still, Ivory and Bliss still captures the perfect photos and capture his personality. I would recommend if you need any photos for any occasion you contact Ivory and Bliss.

We were so happy we booked Ivory+Bliss for our wedding this past September! Our pictures came out beautiful and Lindsey was so much fun to work with. She kept us all moving and organized to make sure we got the most coverage for the day. I also REALLY appreciated her bossing the groomsmen around and letting them know how to stand - like where to put their hands etc haha it's the little cues that make a big difference. Booking Lindsay for our photography and styling was by far the best decision we ever made. Not being from Iowa, I had no idea where to begin with planning my wedding. Lindsay listened to our budget and recommended the best vendors, we had a rock star team putting our wedding together. She was so helpful through the whole process and very quick with responding. I didn't have a lot of time to plan and I also do not have a vision for what is beautiful and Lindsey was not only patient with me but also had amazing ideas and put together our dream wedding. As amazing as she is as a stylist, she's an even better photographer. Her pictures are to die for and she is so quick on returning the images. I've had friends complain of having to wait months for their photos and we had ours within a week. My husband and I are neither one good in front of a camera but Lindsay made us feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend Lindsay and her business for planning, styling, and photography!

It was without a doubt the best decision of our wedding to use Lindsay Goedken of Ivory + Bliss as our wedding photographer and planner/stylist. I had the best experience with Ivory + Bliss! Everyone did such an amazing job at making us laugh, smile and pose so naturally! Lindsay would joke, jump, or dance- whatever it took to make you laugh :) it was a cold February wedding, the girls ventured outside with us for hours and took amazing pictures! I look at these pictures frequently, way more often that I ever thought I would! My advice for future couples: spend the money on your photographer- you will not regret it! And of course, Ivory + Bliss is my recommendation!!! I had a lot of questions during the planning process, Lindsay was so sweet and helped me! She was quick to respond- which is extremely helpful when you are planning a wedding!!! Thank you for being there to capture the best day of our lives :)

I cannot give LHP enough praise. Lindsay and Kayley were so flexible when having our initial meeting to go over details of the engagement session and wedding. Both their personalities are so bubbly and made all my anxiety go away. We had to reschedule our engagement session multiple times because of Iowa's lovely weather, but they were so flexible! We had the amazing Kayley come out to our home farm to get pictures that were unique to me and my soon-to-be hubby! Oh and did I mention she did was able to get these ah-mazing shots in the middle of a snow storm?? The pictures turned out way better than I would have ever dreamt of! I get compliments on how natural the pictures look and how gorgeous the lighting is all the time! I cannot wait until our wedding and see how beautiful the pictures will turn out based on our engagement pictures!

I can't say enough about Lindsay and Lindsay Herbst Photography! We chose Lindsay Herbst Photography (LHP) for a number of reasons--Lindsay's talent being the primary reason, but also because LHP offered us the complete package (we not only chose to get our engagement and wedding pictures done with LHP, but also our Save the Dates, Wedding Invitations, and Thank Yous were created and printed by LHP!!) Our pictures were nothing short of STUNNING. The most striking thing about LHP is Lindsay (and the other LHP photographers) level of professionalism and ATTENTION TO DETAIL! Nothing--and I mean nothing--is overlooked. Lindsay has a way of capitalizing on natural light like no photographer I have ever seen--her pictures straight out of camera are incredible.
I am admittedly a self-conscious person. It normally takes me hours to get a picture of myself that I approve of. Working with Lindsay--this "problem" just disappeared. During pictures she knew exactly how to direct us so that everything was effortless and FUN. Even my hubby (who despises picture-taking) had a BLAST. Our pictures truly showed how much fun we had- they came out looking natural and flawless.
I could go on forever but the important thing is that Lindsay Herbst Photography delivered for us--we now have TONS of pictures that we will truly cherish forever. Every time I go through them all again (and again) it's like I am right back there, reliving the best day of me and my husband's life so far! Choosing Lindsay Herbst Photography was hands down the best wedding decision we made.

Don't look any further! You NEED Lindsay on your wedding day! I'm such a planner & she had me at ease on the big day. My husband was very nervous & I knew our pictures would look awkward until he relaxed, but she gave us such a relaxed, fun environment, that it was easy for him to smile!! She fit right in with our wedding party & everyone felt comfortable following her lead and paying attention (which can be hard with wedding parties!). Where do we start? Lindsay is simply amazing!! She has been with my husband and I since our engagement photos (almost two years ago) and we have never been disappointed. Lindsay shot both our engagement photos and wedding photos (fall 2014 and spring 2015). She was very prompt on communication when we initially booked her (which any bride can appreciate when reaching out to multiple vendors to plan your big day). She did a great job on our engagement photos and made my husband and I feel very comfortable during the shoot. We received our engagement photos about a week and a half after the shoot which I felt was very reasonable timing. When we booked her we choose to have her do our save the dates, wedding invites and thank yous. This was a great decision, she did awesome work on these. I got several compliments on them! She took the ideas I sent her and made them reality as well as assisted me on wording and adding finishing touches to make them look awesome!

Before our wedding I sent Lindsay our schedule. She was very honest and provided suggestions to the schedule from her previous experience which I appreciated. On our wedding day, Lindsay did a great job. She was with us the whole day and I did not have to worry about having only a small window of time with our photographer. She worked great with my other vendors to capturing our special day. We got married on a Saturday and had our pictures back by the following Wednesday - her turn around was amazing!

I would suggest having Lindsay photograph your wedding as she did a great job on ours!

Lindsay was actually recommended to us by a family member and I am so glad that she was! I researched photographers in the Dubuque area and was having difficulty finding someone that was my style and in my price range. I knew I wanted a photographer that could document my day and capture the moments and the general feeling of our day. Lindsay responded back almost immediately after I contacted her. After meeting at our consultation I bonded with Lindsay and felt like she was a great fit for us. She cared about getting to know us and took the time to really understand who we were and what we wanted. I valued her opinion so much throughout our wedding process.

Lindsay understood the theme and feel of our wedding and often offered great stylistic advice. When it came to our engagement photos I didn't have a solid idea of what I wanted. Lindsay was able to offer great ideas for both location and shots that really captured who Joel and I are.

The day of the wedding she was the right combination of professionalism and fun. Lindsay was able to keep our schedule and ensure we got the shots we needed but was also very flexible as our day progressed. I appreciated her enlisting the help of another photographer so we had someone to shoot the guys getting ready as well as the girls. By the end of our day I felt like I had a friend shooting us. When we were looked awkward in our poses she made us at ease and helped us be more comfortable with the posed shots. I was so happy with the end product. I love her photo journalism style. When I take my photos out now they really help me to relive the day.

I would recommend Lindsay to anyone and I really look forward to working with her again in the future.

Our services with Lindsay started about a year and a half ago, when my family wanted their first professional family session done. We were very nervous, awkward, and didn't really know what to expect. Lindsay made the shoot so fun, relaxed, and had everyone laughing their insecurities away. We got the photos back in a timely manner and they were AMAZING.

Almost immediately after our engagement we contacted Lindsay about traveling to Breckenridge, Colorado for our engagement session. It literally felt like we were traveling with another friend, which she quickly became. The photos were everything we imagined them to me. Lindsay was willing to do whatever it took to get us the photos we wanted, even if it meant hiking through thigh-height snow or trying skiing for the first time in the rocky mountains! We just really can't thank her enough for what she went through for our photos. The session was a year ago and I still have people telling me how much they love my engagement pictures! Needless to say, we are obsessed with our photos too.

Lindsay will obviously be our photographer for our wedding in September, but she is also helping stylize our wedding. I showed her what I wanted and she has gone above and beyond to finding exactly what it is. She has been such a huge help in keeping me on schedule (which is hard), remembering the smallest details, finding me the cheapest options, and so much more. Along with many other phone calls Lindsay has made for me, she literally called the wedding stylizer that did a wedding I loved on Pinterest to get some details for me as well. I am just amazed at what she is willing to do to make her clients happy. Yes, Lindsay's work is stunning. It's easy to see. However, I continue to hire Lindsay because of the awesome person she is. She's personable, considerate, genuine, FUN, and the list goes on. In my opinion, that is the kind of person you want to take part in your wedding day. I'm so excited and lucky to have booked LHP!

When I talk about Lindsay, I refer to her as "our photographer". I do this solely because I would go no where else nor trust anyone else in capturing our families most treasured memories. Lindsay has done our engagement photos, she photographed our wedding, helped me with photos for Christmas presents for family members, and most recently, family photos with our newest addition.

Her work ALWAYS brings tears to my eyes. The reaction of our family members when we surprised them with photo gifts one Christmas was absolutely priceless.

Lindsay has not only captured some of our most precious moments as a family, she has also become a wonderful friend of our family.

Lindsay is so great to work with, she not only does a fabulous job photographing but also helping with the details along the way! We loved our engagment photos which she even traveled for. We chose our favorite spots and her eye captured them in a way we'd never seen before. She designed our save the dates, invites and programs. It was really easy to work with her to do so because she was patient to tweak anythinh we asked for. A lot of our guests still have the save the date magnents hung! She also assisted me in picking out thr perfect statement jewelry, which brought my attire vision together. We had Lindsay as our photographer and a 5 out of 5 does not even come close to how to rate her talent. She did our engagement and our wedding and I was beyond impressed with both. I was never a girl who dreamt about her wedding but when I got engaged I knew it had to be perfect and Lindsay knows how you make your wedding day perfect. Not only is she a talented photographer but she is a great person she will make you feel comfortable and beautiful. She kept us laughing the whole time which made for great pictures! She has a way of making you feel like you have known each other for years. I remember saying "I wish we could hang out after the wedding" she has such a fun personality and I am sure other Brides probably feel the same way!! When looking for a wedding photographer I researched tons of photographers in the Iowa City area. Lindsay Herbst Photography returned my phone call the very same day and set up a meeting for the same week. This was much appreciated!

Lindsay shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding day, and I was in awe over both. I can't count on my hands and feet the number of people who have called, texted, or facebook messaged me with questions about Lindsay Herbst Photography! I tell everyone that if I had to do it all over again, the first thing I would do is call Lindsay to make sure she was available.

We loved Lindsay! It was a weird afternoon and the sun wasn't out. We did not reschedule because we trusted her judgment! We went to Morgan Creek Park (her choice) and had a great time. We shot for a little while and then it started raining! :( After the rain passed we were able to find the prettiest light and got over 200 shots in like 30 minutes before it rained again! It took me months to decide on my favorites. She was really fun and made us feel comfortable. We will definitely use Lindsay for our future photos! Oh yeah, she made ordering prints and foam boards super easy too!

Lindsay was amazing! My husband and I had no idea what we were doing or wanted to do when it came to our photos. Lindsay was very supportive, and knowledgeable. She helped give us ideas and made us feel very comfortable. Lindsay is both professional and extremely easy to work with, she seriously made our wedding photo shoot so much fun! She has such a unique talent and eye for capturing images, there is no limit to her talent or kindness.

Lindsay is a fabulous photographer!! We hadn't met Lindsay in person before our engagement session, but we instantly felt completely comfortable with her. Her fun spirit and sense of humor made us smile and laugh the whole time, and it truly shows in our pictures. The photos turned out so natural and gorgeous. We couldn't stop looking at them when we got them (VERY soon after our session)!! We got so many compliments on them as well-- two friends of mine saw one of our engagement pictures on Facebook, and said it looked so perfect they thought it was a professional ad! :) The light, airy feel of our pictures really brings out the happiness we felt during that special time in our lives. We will treasure these beautiful pictures forever!

Where do I even start?! We can't say enough great things about Lindsay!! Lindsay did not only our wedding pictures but also our engagement pictures, and we couldn't be happier! She did such an amazing job and we absolutely love looking back on our pictures from those days. She was wonderful to work with and answered all of our questions, and trust me, we had TONS of questions! It was such a wonderful experience and felt like you gained a wonderful friend along with the process! She made everything so comfortable and fun during our photography sessions! Our wedding was a little over a year ago and I just caught my self looking at my pictures again today thinking about how wonderful of a day it was and how perfect the pictures turned out. I literally can not thank Lindsay enough for everything she did that day. She does a wonderful job with all of her pictures and that is easy to tell if you have seen any of her work but she always is just an awesome person to work with and made me feel so comfortable all day. She knew exactly what style I was looking for and made my pictures really feel like they came to life. The way she helped calm me down and tell me that everything would work out perfectly and she was completely right :). She worked well with our scheduled and also gave me tons of tipsI would recommend her to anyone and I actually have with a couple friends and they were just as happy with her work! She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she cares a lot about her work and her clients! You will not be disappointed!!

Lindsay did my engagement and wedding photos. I don't even know where to begin... She was so amazing to work with, any little question I had she was there for me, she also gave such amazing suggestions! She makes you feel soo comfortable getting your picture taken. She has such an eye for capturing incredible pictures!! My wedding was about a year and a half ago and I love my photos just as much as the day she gave them back to me!! I can't thank Lindsay enough for capturing my day in such a beautiful way!!!

Lindsay did both our engagement and destination wedding pictures. Lindsay was more than willing to drive two hours to take our engagement pictures at a certain location we wanted and was a blast to work with and very easy going. She would listen to you but also had great ideas too. She is a genius behind the camera and an editing genius as well. There was no way we were having anyone else take our destination wedding pictures. I knew the pictures would turn out great but they were still beyond expectations. She even had our pictures done before we got back home. She loves her job with a passion and it shows. I'm excited to work with her again in the future. Thanks for everything Lindsay!

Lindsay had photographed our family pictures- so it was a no-brainer she would be the one we wanted to photograph our wedding. Her work is unbelievable and in my opinion, no one else in the area compares. She just has the eye for it. She knows what backgrounds & poses will look good & she gives great direction. She was also open to any ideas that we had & made them work. We received our pictures the Tuesday after our wedding and they were nothing short of amazing. We still get compliments on them. She is always so much fun to work with and super positive.

Lindsay is AMAZING- Not just as a photographer but as a person. Whether your have known her for years or are just meeting her- She is the type of person that seems more like a friend than a vendor.
She shot our engagement pictures as well as our wedding- & we couldnt have been happier with how our images turned out. She asked questions about what type of images we wanted & brought it all to life! Its been two years & I still love them as much as I did when she first sent them to us.

Lindsay was a fantastic photographer! From the moment we met her, we knew she was perfect for us! We were looking for someone who was fun, energetic, and passionate about what he/she did and we found all of those things in Lindsay. From the start she was professional and caring, taking each and every wish and idea on our end and turning it into so much more! She took the time to get to know us, she made taking engagement photos and wedding photos fun, and she was more than willing to work with us and our crazy families. We also enjoyed having her as part of our "wedding party" because she was with us every step of the way! She was a great help in planning out our wedding day schedule, and she helped keep us organized and on time on our wedding day!
