Morganne and her team from IYDE were incredible! I received many compliments that the wedding was "smooth" and I fully credit Morganne for all her work in making the day run smoothly and helping us to throw and event that exceeded our expectations! Excellent Experience!

I had the opportunity to work alongside Sara from It’s Your Day Events at a wedding this past weekend. Her communication was spot on from the start, providing the vendors with an excellent timeline and updates leading up to the big day. She ran the rehearsal flawlessly, provided suggestions throughout the actual day, and worked tirelessly throughout the wedding and reception to ensure all of the vendors were kept informed and updated. She’s professional, experienced, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable in providing both her clients as well as fellow vendors with a flawless and fun wedding experience. Amazing day with It's Your Day Events

We used It’s Your Day Events for month-of-coordinating, but they were available from the time we hired them (Oct 2020-Sept 2021) to give us referrals for vendors and to answer questions along the way. They were detail-oriented, reliable, and kept everything organized and most importantly, made sure everything was flawless for our big day. For us, it was the perfect balance of them executing our vision but also them offering their expertise when we had no idea what we were doing (like when it came to the detailed layout for our reception). They also designed the paper products for our wedding, which turned out great. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made, especially since they took care of communicating with all of our other vendors, which saved us a lot of time and stress leading up to the wedding.

These are the people you want to have your back

From our first planning meeting until the very last minute of our event, Christina made our wedding a less stressful and much smoother experience than it would have been otherwise. My wife and I had a fairly large wedding (~200 guests) and we were therefore especially sensitive to costs that seemed "extra". As the more pragmatic member of our relationship I was initially skeptical of spending money on a wedding coordinator. However, I quickly saw how wrong I was as soon as the crew from It's Your Day Events got to work on _my_ event. They did things that I didn't even know needed doing, often without me even noticing. Without them, my wife, myself, and our guests would absolutely not have enjoyed the day as much as we could have. Quite frankly, I'm convinced that having Christina was the difference between a "nice" wedding or the "totally awesome evening of stokage" we ended up with. Christina is that girl you went to school with who always had the perfectly organized day-planner and never missed a homework assignment. She is the exact person you want around if you value your sanity.

Ashley & Christina are amazing! We hired them for day of coordination since we already had most of our wedding planned. The month prior, they did a final check to ensure commonly missed items like guest book, card box, etc were taken care of prior to the wedding. A couple days before the wedding, they contacted all of our venders to confirm the event and timeline. The morning of my wedding, they arrived at the venue early to ensure the venders arrived at the scheduled time and help set up the decorations. They even assistances with the room flip and decorating the tables. Throughout the day, they continued to put out fires and did not notify me without already having a solution and on top of that they helped take care of my dog to ensure she got bathroom breaks and ate dinner. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth day. I can’t thank them enough!

Ashley and Christina are amazing!! They were so flexible with my husband and I during the planning process, understood our taste and sense of humor, and did the best job ensuring everything was buttoned up and our wedding day went seamlessly. If there's one thing I'd recommend, it's great a freaking planner and the second thing would be to use It's Your Day Events. The entire process was stress-free and fun, which would NOT have happened if we didn't have them. They really made our wedding day everything we wanted.

Ashley and Christina were WONDERFUL to work with and our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them! They were so patient and kind and very responsive, even when I had random questions late at night and they had to play therapist for me. Though we got a "partial planning" package through It's your Day Events, I felt like the service was very comprehensive. We even used them as design consultants creating signs for us and ordering our invitations! Their passion for the industry and their clients is unmatched and I couldn't have done it with out them. I miss you ladies!

It's this simple: Ashley and Christina at It's Your Day Events & Expressions are the women you want to plan your wedding!

We were in a somewhat unique situation with our wedding because we live in Hawaii and were planning to get married in Washington. We were very busy with work, so we asked the ladies if they'd be willing to essentially plan everything -- including choosing and purchasing decor and signage -- without us around. We chatted a bunch through email about style and budget, and our wedding turned out to be exactly what we wanted ... and more!

The styling of our wedding was spot-on (so classy, elegant, and perfectly modern/rustic!), and we had so much fun. They moved everything along smoothly, and if anything did go wrong, we (and our guests) didn't know about it! Their attention to detail was so beautiful, and they were happy and fun to be around too! As we danced the night away, we didn't even know they were already hard at work cleaning up areas where the party had relocated away from.

In addition to styling and organizing our DREAM wedding, they helped us find all the best vendors and arranged some discounts through their great relationships with those vendors. During the final week before we got married, I made some last minute changes, and they automatically contacted the vendors and arranged for refunds we weren't even thinking we'd get. It was hard for a lot of people to believe me when I told them this, but that last week before the wedding was completely stress free because Ashley and Christina took care of EVERYTHING! All we had to do was show up and get married. :)

If you think it's too expensive or not worth it to hire a wedding planner, think again. They are well worth the investment and so much more. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Ashley and Christina. Ryan and I absolutely could not have done this without you.

We had a wonderful experience with Christina and Ashley! They were both super-easy to work with and prompt in responding to our questions leading up to the event. Their experience and advice was extremely helpful in getting us to think about things that we had not considered. Day-of they made everything go incredibly smoothly. Our guests never wanted for a thing, and we were able to simply relax and enjoy ourselves on our special day. They did an excellent and efficient job of both setting up and breaking down, and handled unexpected things like fetching more mixers when we were running low without missing a beat. While we used them primarily for day-of coordination, we were able to also take advantage of their design services to produce things like place cards and seating charts. Everything came out beautifully. We would highly recommend It's Your Day to any of our friends.

Christina, Ashley, and their team are wonderful. They are responsive, professional, affordable, and fun to work with! They helped us with planning, decor, and day of coordination and we couldn't have been happier.

On planning: they utilized their existing relationships with vendors and researched others for us, helped schedule meetings with vendors, and used their expertise to give advice on which questions we should ask and who they trusted to do the job right. And, they were a super helpful sounding board when making decisions: from who should be our DJ to which size votive candleholders do we need for the tables. And, they thought of and planned ahead for all the little details, including several things that never would have crossed my mind. Most importantly: While they gave their advice and opinions, Christina and Ashley always made it clear that it was ultimately our decision and never forced our hand(s).

On decor: We got SO many compliments on our tables for the reception. They were gorgeous, simple, and everything I wanted. Christina and Kailin set them up perfectly and throughout the day, every time I passed by the tables, I would stop and smile bc they were everything I wanted them to be and more. They also designed our table signs, seating chart, and escort cards (for an additional, but totally reasonable cost).

On day-of coordination: I can't recommend this (or them) enough. Christina took over our vendor coordination starting about three weeks before the wedding, created a timeline, and made sure we stuck to it and the day went flawlessly. They handled any issues that came up and even ran out to get extra lime juice when the bar ran out--something I didn't even find out about until the next day. They made it possible for my husband and me to focus on each other, our guests, and fully enjoy the day. I couldn't recommend them more!

Ashley, Christina, and crew are phenomenal. Instead of wanting a traditional wedding, I really just wanted to throw a huge party with a short ceremony. I was inviting 250 guests and had a relatively short planning timeline, so I knew I needed some help. I started looking online for local wedding planners and was very impressed with the content on It’s Your Day’s website. I really liked that they featured lots of photos from their past weddings and detailed descriptions of the packages.

From the start, Ashley and Christina were always super friendly, professional, knowledgable, and patient. My wedding was different and they were excited to take on the challenge. They asked me all the right questions - the ones you don’t think about even when you think you know exactly what your wedding vision is. We communicated mainly via email because that’s what worked best for me and they were always quick to respond (there were a LOT of emails). I was never nervous about getting things done because they had a solid schedule and sent me reminders often. I also loved that they had a list of partnered vendors and I used quite a few of them!

Our wedding was basically flawless. I’m sure there were fires to put out but I never knew about them because those ladies are so good at what they do. Even at the end of the night they were still smiling and cheerful even though they must have been absolutely exhausted. I think my only regret is that I didn’t get to take a photo with them! Seriously!

I could honestly go on and on about the details of the seven months we spent planning with Ashley and Christina, but the bottom-line is that our wedding really was the best day ever. It was better than we even dreamed of. Two months later people are STILL telling us we had the best wedding they’ve ever been to. I’m really proud of that and I couldn’t have done it without Ashley and Christina. It’s Your Day is worth every single penny. I’d recommend them to anyone.

Ashley and Christina are nothing less than amazing! Not only are they talented in what they do but they are also wonderful people and we definitely consider them friends. Words can't express how grateful we are for their hard work and how they turned our wedding into one of the best days of our lives. I had no idea how much detail went into planning a wedding, and in hindsight, there's no way I could have done this without them. They helped us plan for months prior to the day to help us incorporate our theme of "two cultures combining" and brought so many amazing ideas to the table. They also were always quick to respond to any issue or question we had. They are the perfect "ying and yang" of wedding planning, bringing organization, creativity and fun to what can be pure craziness when trying to plan a wedding. As for day-of, I felt like I was floating in a bubble the whole day, everything went so smoothly, which was due to their expertise and ninja-like skills to make sure they took care of all the issues that came up so I didn't have to. If you are looking for amazing service and equally amazing people to help make your day flawless, Christina and Ashley are it!!

These girls are totally pro! Recruiting them for assistance with planning our wedding and honeymoon was one of the best decisions I could’ve made. Had they not been there to help lead me through the arduous tasks of decision-making & weighing options, and keep everything organized, I would have surely lost it ;) Lastly, they made sure the day of our wedding went without a hitch and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. It's hard to put into words just how amazing Christina and Ashley and their interns are. Having them to call on when I had a question or a concern about something was a huge blessing. Their expertise made my wedding truly a dream. They were with me from the moment I called them after I got engaged. For those 10 months I didn't have to worry or stress. If I had a problem with another vendor they jumped on the phone with them and fixed it for me. Having them as my backbone was worth more than I paid. Then the day of comes around and while Joe and I were getting married and celebrating their interns took charge and were busy making sure every little detail was executed to perfection. I received compliment after compliment about how wonderful my wedding was and I truly couldn't have done it with out It's Your Day! I love these girls.

My husband and I won a contest that It's Your Day Events & Expressions was advertising for. We were asked to write in 200 words or less why we should be chosen to win a free day of coordination package. Needless to say, we were thrilled to have won! I had no idea how necessary a wedding planner is! Even if you think you are prepared, as a bride, you have to realize that on the day of your wedding you won't be doing anything except getting ready and putting your dress on. So having people designated to do things for you is absolutely essential. I had complete trust in Ashley and Christina. They kept everything on schedule and they also kept my mother from losing her mind. Do yourself a favor and hire a coordinator.

These ladies did an amazing job for our wedding. Everything was organized and on time! They worked very hard at finding us the best for our wedding day. They were always on time and prompt when responding to any email or phone contact. Kris and I are very pleased at how our wedding came together. These gals work so hard! The most amazing part, they do it W/O Breaking a sweat! They were elegant in the way they made the wedding just go seamlessly through the night. Our wedding had an unusual venue which had unusually rigorous rules that made it difficult for Christina, Ashley, and team to coordinate the wedding to the fullest extent. Due to these heavy constraints, combined with the fact that this was a multi-lingual wedding where the majority of the guests were international (i.e., can't understand English), there were plenty of highly stressful issues that came up. It also led to frustration on our end that brought some misunderstandings, which only made matters worse.

However, despite all of these obstacles, the team took it extremely well and handled everything professionally and with focus. In the end, the wedding was a great success and we received nothing but praise from friends and family on the wedding. We would heartily recommend It's Your Day to anyone who may have the tricky wedding that most planners would not be able to handle.

Avoid at all costs

I was a bridesmaid at one of Ashley and Christina’s weddings. My friend (the bride) got their full planning package.

They arrived at 1 pm for a 4 pm wedding. They did not come to the bridal suite to check on the bride until 3 pm (only 1 hour before she walked down the aisle). Since the planners didn’t really check in with us at all, thank goodness the photographer stepped in and made sure bride and groom were taken care of. They did end up running ~30 min behind and did not get all the shots they wanted because the planners were no where to be found to keep to the timeline.

I went to sit on the couches during the reception (which were clearly meant for guests) and Ashley and Christina were sitting on the couch on their phones for 10 minutes before saying “I guess we should get back to it” before sluggishly getting up and walking away from the reception. I understand they need to take breaks — but doing it on a couch meant for guests was highly unprofessional. They were obviously annoyed they had to go back to work — not the vibe you want at your wedding!

They pulled me and the other 2 bridesmaids off the dance floor for 20 minutes at the end of the night to clean up the bridal suite. We had already cleaned up all of our bags prior to the wedding starting. They had us take all of the snacks, drinks, our friends’ dress bag, suitcase, etc. and load it on to the bus. They were doing nothing themselves. What else is a wedding planner for if not this? Our friend said she was looking everywhere for us during this time and was sad she couldn’t find us during the song we all loved to sing when we were in college together. This was not our responsibility. This is what you hire a wedding planner for — so you don’t need to worry about these things!! Future brides/MOBs — do not let this be you. Please imagine yourself in my friend’s shoes — you do not want your best and closest friends to be pulled away during your favorite song because your planner isn’t doing their job.

My friend was unhappy with them throughout the planning process. I was planning my wedding at the same time and constantly had to tell her that her full service planners should be coordinating with vendors — not her. She said they were unfriendly, did not do the work they were contracted to do, and she did not enjoy the planning process. This should be such a fun and exciting time of life. I am so sad she did not get that experience.

I am all for supporting all-female businesses but these are not your people. I don’t know where all of these amazing reviews are coming from (most are dated), but I would imagine that there are lots of others out there like me who almost didn’t write anything. Do not hire Ashley and Christina. I can’t speak for the other planners…but these two are not it.

If you’re reading this and planning a wedding, I hope you have a wonderful, joyous adventure in this special time in your life. My planner rocked and she was worth every penny.
