Alex and the IT'S LIT Weddings & Events team were fantastic to work with for our wedding. Their communication was quick, resourceful and helpful throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work was excellent - they were super fun to collaborate with and made the day run smoothly from start to finish. They provided DJ services, a photo booth, uplighting and custom giant letters that added such a special touch. Alex even helped create a custom song for a special dance with my mom, making our day even more magical. The party kept going the whole night and we didn't want it to end! I highly recommend IT'S LIT Weddings & Events for any couple looking to make their wedding day unforgettable. -

My wife and I hired Alex as the DJ for our wedding in Newport this October. He was absolutely incredible. From the ceremony and recessional to the photo booth, greenery wall and dance floor, Alex and his team crushed it. The uplighting was great and the marquee letters really brought the room together and made a great background for photos.
One of the things that I was most passionate about as a groom was finding someone who would set the tone for the night. Alex brought the energy from the moment he stepped on site that day. Whether he was behind the DJ booth working the 1s and 2s or on the mic, he was fantastic. Since the wedding, all of our friends have been asking about Alex, his team and where we found them.
There's no lack of DJ's for a Newport wedding but if you're reading this review then congratulations because your search is over! DJ Alex Brown is simply the best there is. -

We had DJ Alex Brown for our wedding this past week and we could not have been happier with our choice. I can be very selective and particular with what kind of music I love to dance to so I was nervous when looking for a DJ. I wanted EDM, 90s techno, and dance music and when I tell you he nailed it, I mean it. Every single song that was played I LOVED. I gave him a few must play songs and he 100% understood the vibe I wanted. If you are looking for someone that understands dance music (think also old school Show me Love- Robin S) then I truly could not recommend him more!! He was also extremely professional and kept everything running smoothly. -

Great experience working with ITS LIT for marquee letter rentals for a corporate event! Pre-event communication was quick and clear, and the letter installation and presentation was top notch! Even when I asked for the letters to be set up, secured, and then moved at least 3 times, Alex was happy to help! The team even went above and beyond to provide a photo booth backdrop to assist with other event logistics challenges. Would absolutely recommend and work with again for any future needs! -

Alex went to great lengths to ensure our wedding ran smoothly. He is beyond organized and professional. We felt comfortable letting Alex take the lead at our wedding because he came so prepared. My wife and I initially didn't request the photo booth, but last minute decided to include it, and it was one of our best decisions. The photos are some of our favorites from the whole wedding! Overall we had an amazing wedding and Alex was greatly appreciated for his services. -

DJ Alex is an amazing choice for your wedding!
We worked with DJ Alex for our ceremony and reception music, audio and lighting needs. Working with him was super easy and he answered all of our questions regarding planning! He did an amazing job with our first dance and getting everyone up on the dance floor! We also rented an audio guest book telephone, and it made a great addition for our guests. Book DJ Alex for your event, you won't regret it!! -

Alex is amazing!
We hired Alex for our New Year’s Eve wedding and I am so glad we did! He is fun, professional, and super easy to work with. My husband is a huge music fan so he wanted to make sure that we had a DJ who would play music at our wedding that represented us appropriately as a couple - Alex did not disappoint!
I wanted to do something special for our bridal party so we actually created our own playlist for cocktail hour and dinner to include each of their first dance songs. It was such a special touch and some of them even got up to dance when they heard their song. I was really glad Alex was open to us choosing specific music during those times.
At what felt like the very last minute, we added on a photobooth and audio guestbook through his other company itsLIT RI. The best decisions we made! I created my own template on Canva and sent it to Alex in lieu of one of the pre-made ones he had and it ended up printing so beautifully! I really appreciated the flexibility on literally anything. Everyone loved the photobooth so much. Every time I looked over there, there was a line! And the audio guestbook was a huge hit! We got some hilarious messages and quite a few Chinese food takeout orders (is that normal?!). I couldn’t believe how fast the turnaround time was for the digital versions of both. I think he got them to us within two days! We got to relive parts of the wedding while we were still riding the high and it was awesome. It was also super convenient to bundle the three services together rather than have separate vendors for each.
In addition to DJ/ Music services, audio guest book, photobooth and all the other services Alex offers, he also has a planning organizer that is incredibly helpful to gather your thoughts. Slightly different than a timeline that you put together with your coordinator or photographer. I feel like this one gave us more of a preview/ vision of what the night would look like, maybe because there is emotion involved with the songs we chose? I don’t know, but it was great. Part of the organizer was contact information for your other vendors like photographer and coordinator. He actually reached out to them ahead of time to confirm that they were all on the same page and all had the same timeline so there was no confusion the day of. If you don’t think this is a crucial contact to have - you are so wrong! Could you imagine Beyonce’s “all the single ladies” starts playing for a bouquet toss when you are standing there for father/ daughter dance? This obviously did not happen with us because he was so prepared =).
To anyone considering Alex as your DJ for any event - DO IT! Do not let that baby face fool you. He is a true, experienced professional and you will not be disappointed! -

Alex is an amazing DJ!! I had no idea how much influence a DJ has throughout a wedding day- providing structure and making sure the day flows smoothly within your timeline, and Alex did a phenomenal job. He asked thoughtful questions and provided helpful insight throughout the planning process, and he took care of logistic details that I never even thought of throughout the wedding day. We had our ceremony outside on a public beach, and he provided the ceremony sound setup that we needed- ensuring that microphones were working and worn correctly, making sure the speakers were at the optimum angle so that all guests could hear, and just generally taking care of all the logistics that were necessary in creating the perfect ceremony space out of a public location. He ensured there was a smooth transition to the reception venue (located 15 minutes away from the ceremony location) and generally just made sure that the reception flowed smoothly. He kept timing on track with speeches, cake cutting, first dances, etc. and then kept the people dancing allll night long! Also the photobooth was a HUGE hit with guests. I HIGHLY recommend Alex!!! Thank you for everything :) -

Best DJ in New England
DJ Alex is absolutely amazing, he works with you from beginning to end. He’s always in contact and really gives you every ounce of his attention. He is thoughtful and helps you with any difficult choices you may have. He goes above and beyond from music, to up lighting, and the Photo Booth. He found me dry ice for my dancing on the cloud, which was an amazing touch. He is considerate on price points, and will never over charge for anything. If you need a DJ for any event, trust me as a very satisfied bride that searched for months. This is the man you want running your show. My husband and I can’t thank him enough for providing us the absolute dream come true wedding. -

Best DJ Ever!
Alex was the best Wedding DJ ever! If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding or any event, I cannot recommend Alex enough. From our initial conversation over a year before our wedding day, Alex was always professional, quick to reply, and very easy to communicate with. He made sure that every detail was carefully planned out and was always in contact with us leading up to our wedding. Alex took care of the microphones, music, and speakers for our outdoor ceremony, had a perfect cocktail hour playlist, and did an incredible job with the uplighting and music during the reception. All of our guests loved his music choices, he kept everyone entertained and dancing all night long. Alex also provided an amazing photo booth that was a hit with our guests. Everyone receives printed copies of their photos from the photo booth and the bride and groom get a digital album of every photo from their guests as an additional special memory. Thank you so much Alex for making our wedding day amazing! -

If you haven't found a DJ yet look no further, and hire Alex! From the beginning Alex was so professional and easy to work with. His email updates were so helpful and his "wedding organizer" is amazing! There were so many things that I didn't think of but he was completely on top of it. I'm so happy with the package we chose, it included so much and the photo booth was a big hit! The ceremony was beautiful and Alex took care of everything from the mics, music, and speakers during cocktail hour as well. At the reception, all of our guests loved the music Alex played and he knew how to keep everyone dancing and entertained the whole night. Thanks Alex for helping make our wedding day so special!! -

Alex was great at communicating from the beginning. He was quick to answer emails and texts and so helpful in planning the day of timeline. We added on the photo booth with prints and our guests loved it! When dinner was running a little behind Alex kept us updated on what was going on and kept the flow moving. And he definitely nailed the playlist and got our guests on the dance floor immediately with some Backstreet Boys (perfect for our age group haha). -

Great service from start to finish!
I’ve had a really positive experience working work DJ Alex for my wedding 02/12/2022. From initial call to the wedding day Alex has been high energy, transparent, available for a chat, flexible, professional and genuine. He customized a package for us that included ceremony, cocktail hour, reception music as well as up lighting and a super cool spot light with our names on it.
He had sent us an easy to fill out wedding day schedule, and then reviewed it on the phone with me about 2 weeks prior to wedding day. He made sure to
Pronounce all names correctly.
The day of our wedding went super smooth. Everyone loves the shoe game we played and all our friends and family said the music choices were fun and really fit the style and age groups of the wedding. Everyone was dancing!
Since my wedding, guests have commented about how great he was at hosting the party but making me and my husband the center of attention!

Alex may have been our best vendor! He was the most diligent and helpful person we hired, and did more than just DJ our wedding. Not only did he play THE BEST MUSIC EVER, but he consistently communicated with us giving us tips throughout the entire wedding planning process. And to top it off, I found him because of his great rates. Alex went above and beyond leading up to the wedding, and knocked it out of the park the day of. We couldn't recommend him enough!!!! -

DJ Alex Brown is hands down one of the most professional, helpful, and talented DJs I have ever met. I myself, work in the wedding field, so I have met a lot of DJs.
He was so helpful thru the entire process. He always was one call/ email away, he was very organized, and had a great variety of not only music, but uplighting as well.
The day of my wedding, he was on top of everything and so organized. Everything went perfect. His set up was spectacular, and the playlist was not a typical DJ playlist. It was great variety, and really vibed with my crowd.. The entire night the dance floor was packed. If I could give anyone a piece of advice for their wedding, it would be to hire DJ Alex Brown. So many DJs just have a set playlist and use it at each event. My wedding playlist was so custom and fun. It was one of the best days of my life, and DJ Alex Brown was one of the biggest contributing factors. -

Best Wedding DJ!
Alex was a phenomenal DJ. He was able to track down every song request we had (lots of random Disney music in our case) and we had a blast with the awesome lighting set up. Lighting was great, the music made us so happy, and Alex was a great communicator and super organized! If we ever host another party, we will definitely be calling him! -

Hiring Alex to be the DJ for our wedding was the easiest and best decision we made. My husband and I wanted to ensure everyone at all ages had fun while keeping the party going. Everyone at our wedding had an absolute blast and DJAB is to thank for that. Alex is so incredibly easy to work with and made the planning process a breeze. He was always available and quickly responsive to texts, phone calls, and even face-times! He spent so much time going over every little detail of our wedding day to make it perfect - even with some picky requests that I had made! Alex even came to our rehearsal to make sure everything was going to run smoothly the day of. During our reception we fell a little behind on our timing for scheduled events (toasts, first dances, cake cutting, etc.) and Alex calmly informed me of what was going on and the best way to catch up on time. He was so flexible and very knowledgeable on how to make things work! We included his photo booth in our package and it was a total hit! Everyone loved it and some of our favorite photos from the night took place here. He and his assistant are professionals! I hands down recommend DJAB to anyone for any event, not just weddings. We had the time of our lives and will hire Alex in a heartbeat for any events in our future. Thanks for helping make this night one of the best and most memorable! We love you! -

Five Stars! Hire Alex and you'll be thrilled with your reception and so will your guests! One year later and I'm still raving about this wedding reception to friends. Alex was funny and fun while keeping the focus on the bridal couple not himself. Smooth and effortless coordination of a large group of guests. Great music selection keeping the energy with just the right balance. Best of all - an extremely professional package.
