Perfect Wedding!

Tara was amazing to work with! Planning a wedding from afar can be stressful but Tara took all the stress away and handled everything. Giving us recommendations and suggestions on every detail. Choosing Tara was the best decision we made! She was there throughout the entire process all the way til last song of the reception. There was not one thing we would have changed nor had regrets on. The ceremony was held at Trunk Bay and reception was held at the Hills. The sunset at the Hills was absolutely breathtaking! If your looking for a wedding planner you cannot go wrong with Tara at Island Style Weddings. If you looking for a place to hold wedding or reception the Hills you cannot go wrong! The Hills is spacious and can accommodate the entire wedding party and guest during your stay.

Tara was just amazing!

My husband and I were completely thrilled with Tara. From the first communication with Tara on through our wedding day, Tara was a pleasure to work with every time. Tara worked with all of the vendors and kept us updated on how things were going. She was very professional. We had a pannist playing the steel drum. Our officiant was wonderful. The wedding flowers were beautiful. The wedding cake was absolutely delicious. The photographer and videographer captured the entire ceremony with great detail. And Trunk Bay? It was stunning. A gorgeous venue. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted. We highly recommend choosing Tara as your wedding planner. You will be very pleased.

The most magical wedding

Words can’t quite capture how grateful we are for Tara. She was the perfect wedding planner. After interviewing a few planners—one who wasn’t local and another who wasn’t very timely with her responses—we found Tara, and we couldn’t have been luckier. She recommended an amazing team of vendors (we had the BEST team), handled all the details, and kept us stress-free with her quick responses, even well before the wedding. Planning was such a breeze with her, and we really felt the difference compared to our friends. Tara became more than just a planner; she became our friend, and we were sad when it was all over. She was worth every penny and more. Hiring Tara was hands-down the best decision we have ever made.

Amazing Service all the way through!

Tara is very professional and organized. She helped us to plan 5 events on St. John, including the wedding. She knows the right vendors to really bring all events to life (florist, photographer, baker, creative designer, caterer for beach BBQ, etc.) and stayed on top of all the details. She also helped us with extra decorations for the rehearsal dinner and put together the amazing welcome bags which our guests raved about. I can't thank her and her team enough. Her efforts were above and beyond and really made all events very special. I would highly recommend Tara!!!

Brought our perfect day to life

Tara helped my husband and I to organize our dream wedding day on St. John. It was a smaller wedding with ~16 guests. We truly would not have wanted to plan it with anyone else. Amazing Planner- Just What You Need

We got married on 6/17 and used Tara! She was amazing! Extremely smart, organized, kind, and responsive. She doesn’t miss a detail and is very inexpensive. Hire her if you need a planner in St John’s especially. She knows everyone there and how to pull off big events with any budget. Not only did we enjoy using her leading up to the wedding but she also followed up post wedding with a surprise video she made and to check to make sure we got our photos. She’s just incredible. Don’t make the mistake by hiring anyone else.

Highly Recommend Working with Tara at Island Style Weddings!

Reaching out to Tara at Island Style Weddings was the best decision we made when we started planning our intimate December 2022 wedding. We knew we wanted a destination wedding, but planning our big day from so far away (and on islands we had never even visited before) felt pretty overwhelming - until we started working with Tara. Her professionalism, communication, and can-do attitude immediately put me at ease as we started talking about the vision for our day. Tara, with Island style weddings was such a pleasure to work with!
She caters to your every need, whether a small affair (like ours) to a lavish wedding! It was truly breathtaking to have a ceremony in St. John! Tara made it all happen from a gorgeous flower handtied bouquet (I am a 40+ year florist and I couldn't of asked for better!!) to a small cake for 4 to a Champagne toast after!

Unbelievably great experience with Island Style!

We had our wedding in St. John in June 2018 and both my wife and I and our guests had such a wonderful time! We loved working with Mary and her team at Island Style Weddings throughout the entire process (and still love keeping in contact with her!). She helped in the logistics of planning the events leading up to the wedding, including a welcome night at Beach Bar (which she was able to get opened for us for a night while they were closed during their renovations), a boat day cruise to the BVIs, a beach day with the guests, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch the morning after. We asked a lot of Mary and Brenda (and team) to put on an amazing wedding week for our 60 guests, and Island Style Weddings delivered, and then some!

Our planning was interrupted by the hurricanes that hit STJ in 2017, and Mary communicated with us as much as possible when her world was turned upside down. It speaks to her commitment to her clients and desire to make sure that the focus is on your wedding. We can never repay her for her commitment to us during that difficult time for her and her team.

Island Style Weddings is worth it if you are looking at putting in a wedding, between the support that is provided in planning and execution of the wedding events, to Mary’s extensive design portfolio and her execution on the vision above what our expectations (which were already high!) could ever imagine! Her design sense and execution made for an unbelievable wedding backdrop, and was worth every dollar!

My wife and I highly recommend Mary for your wedding or other event in St John or St Thomas. Her wealth of contacts and experience in putting on top notch events is second to none. Not only do we look back on our wedding week with such positive thoughts, all of our 60 guests still talk about the wedding and the great time they had all week in STJ. We couldn’t have done it without Mary and her insightful guidance to pulling off our dream wedding!

Mary and Brenda planned our St Thomas wedding at Villa Serenita, and we cannot recommend them enough. They picked up our wedding 2 months out after we parted ways with another planner on Island, and immediately ran with it. They were responsive, creative, professional, and patient with my indecisiveness. They took my "vision board" and curated an absolutely perfect day that was beyond our wildest dreams. Island Style is truly the best of the best, and we could never thank them enough!

Island style weddings to the rescue!!!! Mary and Brenda absolutely saved our destination wedding. We had hired another planner on St. Thomas and for the first few months she was great but she basically stopped answering emails and phone calls. For 6 weeks this other planner fell off the face of the earth. With about 2 months to go before our wedding I called Island Style in a panic and explained our situation. THANKFULLY she was available. Mary stepped right in like she was our planner from day 1. She worked with my finance and helped us pull off the wedding of our dreams at Villa Serenita on Cabrita Point. It took about 2 days to get everything set up. Mary, Brenda and their staff were amazing during the process as we were staying in the house that the event was being held at. The wedding was on Saturday and it could not have gone smoother. Our event was a total hit and it truly was the wedding of our dreams. Mary was even able to save us some money because she already has beautiful tables and decorations to use. We are true believers in that everything happens for a reason. If the other coordinator didn't flake out we firmly believe that our wedding wouldn't have been as good as it was. Mary and Brenda are amazing and we cannot thank them enough!!!!!!

Mary and Brenda went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. They aren't your typical wedding planners, each client is so individualized. We had to change our date from January to April because of Irma/Maria and wanted to give the island time to recover. From calling rental companies and helping us sort out transitioning with our guests, to referring the BEST services on the island they did it all. It was so nice knowing we had someone on the island who could handle everything. They have the best vendors they work with and know everyone on St John. Another great plus was all of the decor items Mary had, which really helped us lugging down everything. Everyone that came to our wedding said it was the best one they have ever been too. Mary and Brenda made everything possible. I can go on for hours about how much time and care they invested into our special day (or should I say days). They helped us organize a welcome drinks party, a catered beach day, and our ceremony and reception. I could go on for hours on how happy we were to work with them. We will be forever grateful!

My husband and I were married in St. John in 2016. It was an amazing event that our family and friends still rave about more than a year later -- thanks to the amazing team at Island Style Weddings! Planning a destination wedding from afar could have its challenges but Mary put me at ease from day one. On our first call she explained that they focus on one wedding at a time. At that point I knew that hiring them would be the best planning decision I would make. And it was! Mary and her team coordinated every detail from guest accommodations, transportation and pre-wedding activities to hair and makeup, décor and flowers, photography, food and music. They provided a vendor list which was all encompassing, yet not overwhelming. They have personal relationships with their vendors and that makes all the difference in the experience that you have with each of them. Mary even officiated the ceremony for us! The level of personal attention we received throughout the entire process was wonderful! They took every phone call, read every email, listened to our ideas and provided guidance and comfort when needed. When the big day finally arrived, we were able to relax and enjoy it. Mary at Island Style Weddings is amazing! She is a top notch wedding planner, was also our officiant, provides the decor, reception setup/breakdown and was a pleasure to work with. She is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to weddings. I am Type A times 10, and am a project manager by profession. My husband is also very attentive to details. So between the 2 of us, we set a high bar. The thing I was the most impressed with was how the day of the wedding went so smoothly. I worked with Mary for months prior to the wedding discussing all of the details and how I wanted the wedding to feel and flow. She personally knows all of the vendors due to both being in the business for so long, and also for being a local to St John. The day of the wedding I didn't have to worry about anything. The day unfolded perfectly. I was able to enjoy the day with my husband, and watch as all of our plans unfolded during the most perfect event. In addition to the Wedding day, we hosted several other days of activities for our guests - including a welcome party, a beach day and a send-off breakfast. She helped coordinate all of those activities. And they were all amazing. She provided vendor lists and suggestions. And all of them ended up being fabulous. She made many suggestions that were super helpful - such as doing an engagement photo shoot & hair/makeup trial during a planning visit to St John, as a way to try some vendors and meet them in advance of the wedding. This was very helpful for me, and for them to get an understand of what I wanted, and the opportunity to change vendors if we wanted. Thank you Mary for making our wedding day and week absolutely amazing!

Hiring a local wedding planner was totally worth it! Mary and Brenda at Island Style Weddings kept me totally sane and made the entire planning process very easy to do from afar. They gave me options for every decision and were honest about the pros/cons of each while making recommendations. I felt like everything was under control and as soon as we would talk about something, they would get it done immediately. Plus their experience with design and setting up a wedding website were both huge extras that you'll get with their service. Our reception turned out gorgeous with their help! I reached out to Island Style Weddings one week before our wedding date because our original plan failed. Mary immediately replied to my email and I was able to speak with her over the phone during the planning process. Mary was very detailed and communicated in a timely manner which was very important to us. She asked me what I wanted (flowers, professional photographer, video, musician, hair and makeup, hotel, transportation etc) and she delivered the best. Mary and her team were able to finalize the wedding details in two days.
Our ceremony took place on Trunk Bay Beach in St John and we were blessed to have Mary officiate our marriage. Every single detail was perfect. She also picked up lunch for us (party of 8) while I was getting ready to make sure everyone ate. This wedding was beyond our expectations and everyone is still raving about it. We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives. A+

As we started planning our wedding, Kyle and I decided the best way to find our wedding location was to island hop and do our research in person! After visiting St Thomas and St Croix our next stop was St John (the only island that I visited previously and my front runner from the beginning). Sensing that I was already leaning towards St John, the wedding planner that we met with on St Croix told us that if we decided that St John was our place we just had to hire Mary Bartolucci. I cannot be more grateful for this recommendation! Meeting and hiring Mary allowed us to truly have the wedding of our dreams that I do not think would have been possible without her. We were able to have a gorgeous wedding on St John and provide an authentic island visit for our guests.

For those of you that are planning your destination wedding from afar, you can count on Mary to provide the best vendors and give you a stress free wedding week experience. During the wedding planning process, I have to admit that I found it a stressful to have to make major decisions without knowing the area or not being able to be “there” but I can assure you that you can put your faith in Mary help you make the best decisions. She showed a tremendous amount of patience while working through this planning process with me. The months prior to the wedding Mary and Brenda made sure that all details were covered and helped keep me focused and on track (again easing my ‘not being there angst’).

The week of our wedding was everything that I could have dreamt it to be and this was due to the perfect planning suggestions from Mary. The ceremony and reception is where Island Style Wedding really blew me away. Their impeccable taste was evident in every detail of our wedding day. They did not disappoint!

Mary helped us plan the wedding of our dreams on St John. Her recommendations for vendors were top-notch. Our wedding events and wedding day were all well organized, stress free and magical.

There were many phone calls and emails leading up to the main event, and Mary and Brenda were with us every step of the way. Their communication is excellent. Both are both quick to respond to emails and a pleasure to speak with on the phone. Mary worked hard to understand our likes and dislikes in order to bring our vision to life. Our entire wedding day was better than we ever imagined and that's because of Mary and Brenda's dedication and expertise.

Throughout the weekend everyone commented how well orchestrated all events were and said it was some of the best event planning they’d ever seen. With almost 60 people in constant motion over three days, we can’t think of any miss-steps. Their attention to detail let everyone (including us) relax and enjoy the festivities. Nothing slips through the cracks with these two. Amazing.

Planning our wedding with Mary and Brenda was a joy. We would work with Island Style Weddings again in a heartbeat, and we recommend them strongly!

Mary and Brenda were incredible! I initially was going to have my wedding at one of the all-inclusive resorts in St Thomas and when I saw that the pictures on the website were no where near comparable to what actually happens at the resort, I panicked and needed help in a short amount of time. I called around and talked to a few different planners and Mary was very knowledgeable, professional, and quick to get back to me. I asked Mary to take care of everything and to just "surprise" me of how everything would be set up. I left it to her and her vendors to pick out everything! She was able to find us a breath-taking venue at the Spring Bay Estate which was by far the most beautiful spot on the island. As my guests arrived to this estate, they were all greeted with champagne and in awe of how beautiful everything was! The décor and flowers looked like they were staged for a magazine. The service was absolutely perfect from the DJ to the bartenders and servers. The food was great as well. All in all, we got so many compliments on our wedding and I heard countless times how it was one of the best weddings they have attended with the event not only being elegant and classy but the ceremony, dinner and reception was just perfectly done.

Everything was incredible and perfect! We initially had a destination wedding because I didn't have time to pick out details or deal with typical wedding decisions. I actually asked Mary to pick out everything and style the wedding as she wanted to and to surprise us. I gave her my 100 percent trust. She found us the most beautiful venue at the spring bay estate which was better than I could have dreamed of! She styled the wedding fit for a magazine which I actually had so many compliments on how It was one of the most beautiful weddings they have attended. My guests were greeted with champagne upon arrival and always had their glasses filled. They loved the food she chose, her wine selection, and DJ recommendation. One thing that my husband could not believe is that when Mary found out his favorite beer was not at the venue, she made it happen where he had it in his hands within the next hour and made sure someone went to go get it! I may be making this review very long but I have been to a lot of weddings and no wedding planner can compare to her and Brenda. She has a classy, tasteful, elegant, and sophisticated design for her weddings. As far as the flow and planning of the event, they are very professional, kind, and have a get it done right attitude! They made our wedding day a dream come true!

Mary was wonderful! I couldn't have planned an island wedding so far from home without her. She gave me great ideas and direction, calmed me down when needed, and was a good ear when I needed to ask questions. She also recommended some events leading up to our special day and they were amazing! Our guests (over 60 people) had a great time and were raving about all of the events. Do not try to figure it all out on your own, she will guide you as needed and be the person to answer questions and deal with everyone so you don't have to fret about any of that on your wedding day!

Mary and her team are amazing. Planning a destination wedding in St. John is no easy feat! I would get so stressed about the details. However, when discussing them with Mary she would be so calm. You know why? Because this woman knows what she's doing! I told her how big our wedding party was and what we were like and we planned a wedding week with different activities/events that were tailored to our group. She also helped me and guests select villas and recommended the best resort too. Everyone at my wedding had a blast! And they all commented on how well planned everything was. The ceremony and reception were so beautiful - I showed Mary a few Instagram pics of what I liked and she just took it from there. On the wedding day I got so wrapped up in my new husband and dancing and just having an amazing time. I never once had to worry about anything because she was always two steps ahead. Now when I look back at the wedding pictures I just keep going "Wow!" I cannot thank Mary and her team enough.

Mary and her staff were unbelievably professional, reliable, and supportive both the day of the event and the months leading up to it. They were incredibly helpful working with us through the many complications that can come with having a wedding in such a pristine location. Their knowledge of vendors and the ways of island life are unparalleled, they were very useful in knowing which vendor was the best to help us on our special day, which would not nearly have been as special with out Mary and her team. Mary and Island Style Wedding have been such a help for planning our destination wedding. When we first started looking for planners in St. John. We called and spoke with different planners. Mary sounded most trustful and most experienced. She is a resource not only for any information about Virgin Island, but also for wedding in general.

She is always available for us. She responds emails quickly and is always available for a phone call. She respect our thoughts but also provides us for ideas. She led us to organize what to do at which point and assistant us to make decisions.

Mary has a good taste and vision of how decorations would look. Our ceremony at the Trunk Bay was breathtaking. All our guests were amazed by our wedding.

She is also good at technologies. She uses websites, tools and APPs you know and you don't know, which makes our communication very easy.

We highly recommend you hire Island Style Wedding for your destination wedding. It would help you save a lot of energy and time.

Working with Island Style Weddings was the best decision I could have made!
From the beginning, they were amazing! Mary was so knowledgeable and is truly an artist at her craft! She was immensely patient with my constantly changing ideas, and she took care of every detail. I worried about nothing!
I was planning a St. John wedding from Indianapolis and the fact that Mary lived on island was a big reason I chose to work with her. ISW also offered much more value than many of the other planners I interviewed. Mary was always available when I needed her and, once on the island, she was by my side every step of the way.
ISW gracefully handled every detail of the entire event and every hiccup we encountered along the way. Mary assisted with everything from guest accommodations, transportation, welcome party planning, details about obtaining our marriage license, and of course the ceremony and reception.
I was blown away by how much care ISW took to ensure that everything was seamless and beautiful! The vendors they worked with were all top notch, and they even took the time to surprise me and my husband with special added touches that we loved!

I was beyond thrilled with how my wedding turned out. Mary and Brenda were so helpful, flexible, and had great ideas. I was planning my wedding on St. John from California. Mary quickly responded to emails and phone calls and really made the process easy. She helped me with all the details of the ceremony, reception, and rehearsal. Where do I begin?? I have so much praise. I am not typically a review writer but this was such a great investment. Mary Leah and Brenda made my day such a breeze. I was so relaxed on my wedding day because they had already taken care of everything down to the smallest detail. Not only was everything taken care of but it was set up so beautifully. Mary and her staff have impeccable taste. In addition to providing wedding planning and set up services, Mary planned a scavenger hunt for my party, set up our half day snorkel sail on Kekoa and a deep sea fishing trip for the guys. I could not be happier with our decision to hire Island Style Weddings to do the event planning coordination for our wedding in St John, USVI. Due to an unexpected deployment for my husband, we had to push back our original wedding date. Mary was extremely understanding to the circumstances and was ready to dive back into the planning process once we were able to set a new date which almost a year later. Island Style Weddings brings the professionalism you would expect from a first class wedding planning service; prompt response to e-mail, phone calls as often as I felt were required, and the experience of many years in not only in this business but also on St John. They have many décor options which are available to use to help bring your vision to life which is a huge plus when you are planning from far away. From the second my husband and I arrived on St John for our wedding week, we felt at ease knowing we could send a text or call if there was anything which came up and we needed assistance or had a question to ask. Island Style Weddings also coordinated multiple events related to the wedding which included a welcome reception at a local bar and grill, a day sail to the BVI, the wedding rehearsal, and catered rehearsal lunch on the beach. All of this led up to the big day which I can only describe as perfect. All I can say is that Island Style Weddings is the best to work with in executing your vision for your wedding within budget with care and class. I never could have imagined a more perfect team to work with. Over the past eleven months, Mary would touch base or I would shoot her an email (or send her numerous Pinterest ideas) on what I was thinking and she was always responsive and objective (which I love!) I think we quickly got a sense of each other's style and personality and that worked well in terms of the trust and comfort level for making decisions for the wedding. We had two minor hiccups within the planning which they handled with true professionalism -one, a change of the reception venue and two, inclement weather the morning of my wedding. On the day of my wedding it poured and poured and Mary called me that morning to tell me not to panic and that she would work on a back up plan in case the ceremony could not happen at Trunk Bay. In the end, I decided to take my chances and hope that the rain would stop (and it did!) and Mary and Leah never forced me to change my mind and I appreciate that. Dom and I could not have been more happy with their support in making #onekingdomforever an unforgettable day! Tablescape for reception sparkled, flowers added the rich, vibrant color, recommended DJ had everyone on their feet, and the drinks were flowing which is EXACTLY what we wanted!
When we are ready to celebrate our 5 anniversary we will certainly call on Mary and Leah again!

We planned our entire wedding site unseen without ever visiting St John. We were not disappointed..all was better than we could ask, think, or imagine. Mary and Leah were fabulous throughout the whole process! They were organized, calm, efficient and thorough. They dealt with all the local vendors for us and kept things well under control. Last minute request were taking care of graciously an effectively.

Leah and Mary came to our villa to help decorate for a private dinner which turned out beautifully.

At the beginning of our wedding week, we were faced with Hurricane Gonzalo possibly hitting St. John!!! We were blessed that it didn't. Mary was extremely helpful in keeping us calm, offering Plan B if needed, and helping make alternate hotel accommodations for 8 people for the first night we were supposed to stay in a villa.( we couldn't get in because the were hurricane proofing the villa)

Wedding day it was threatening rain and Mary and Leah had everything planned should that happen. It didn't and we had a beautiful ceremony. All of Mary's suggestions: a welcome evening at the Motu, an all day sail trip on the Island Spirit and a sunset sail for the reception were SO much fun. It was a magical week and the best wedding ever!!!

I loved how responsive they were usually responding to my emails within the hour! My wedding was their first in St. Croix, but I had now doubts that my wedding would be executed with the same level of expertise as their events on St. John. Thanks to Mary and Leah at Island Style Weddings, our wedding was absolutely PERFECT. We had a Persian American ceremony on the beach at Trunk Bay and our reception at The Waterfront Bistro.

Throughout the 9 months of planning they provided the ideal balance of guidance and flexibility. They were both integral in helping us find our style and voice and met us where we were, so to speak, every step of the way. I didn't have many "freak out" moments, but when I did, one of them was always available to speak over the phone or respond to my questions over email. On our wedding day everything went smoothly as they discreetly guided us through the ceremony and reception. Mary and Leah also have impeccable taste, which I did not fully appreciate until the day of the wedding. The flowers, the ceremony, the chairs, the aisle, the reception decoration - everything was more beautiful than I could have imagined. And we were even able to stay within our budget.

If you are having a destination wedding on St. John, it would be a mistake not hire them. Having someone to help manage the logistics and details of a destination wedding is one thing, but actually having a professional wedding planner invested in your special day as much as you are is truly priceless. If you are thinking of a wedding on the most beautiful island in the world, you must marry on St. John, USVI! Mary and Leah at Island Style Weddings have all the in’s and out’s of the island and they deliver with grace and elegance! We began planning our wedding in October for a fast turn around, (we were married in March). All of our wishes and hopes were not only possible but without issue! When starting to plan a beach wedding all the way in St. John from Ohio, I knew I was going to need some help. I looked around online at the (few) wedding planners on the small island of St. John, and I was drawn to Island Style Wedding's website for their style and professionalism. I contacted Mary and she talked me through planning a St. John wedding for probably over an hour and we hadn't even hired her yet!
Mary really knows weddings and event planning , and it was so nice to have someone who was actually a St. John local on our team. Mary and her assistant Leah were quick to respond to emails, did all the transactions with the vendors for us, and really listened to what we wanted. They made the planning process fun by having me make a Pintrest board of inspiration and style.
The day of the wedding was pretty seamless! All we had to do was show up at the beach and they had everything there waiting for us. Mary did an excellent job officiating the ceremony and the scenery a dream. The reception was wonderful (we had about 15 guest total) too. We rented out part of a restaurant (Rhumb Lines) and it worked out great - it was actually fun to have the other diners around.
Overall, we could not have had a better experience and we're so glad we worked with ISW! I'm so sad it is over! We will definitely keep in touch with Mary and Leah and we hope to go back to St. John soon!

It was such a pleasure to meet & work with Mary. She coordinated everything in a relaxed, professional, calming fashion. Mary's suggestions on placed to stay, hair & make-up, as well as, wedding venue were exceptional. The detailed instructions on how to obtain a marriage license were very helpful.

Mary did my daughters wedding and took all the stress off me and my daughter. We both moved Mary and her team. She pointed us in the right direction and we were overly pleased with her every step of the way! I wanted to enjoy my time with my family, daughter and new son in laws and she made that possible.

This was our second marriage and we wanted it to be beautiful, easy, no hassle, and intimate. It was better than I imagined. Mary and Leah offer the perfect package for couples wanting a destination wedding with a few nice extras including a wonderful photographer, we used Blue Glass Photography, and gorgeous flowers from Roses Too. Mary and Leah know the caterer we used, St. John Catering, and they knew what linens etc they could provide vs. what Mary and Leah could add to make the dinner perfect. We appreciated the ease and professionalism of Island Style Weddings. Thank you Mary and Leah!

I truly enjoyed working with Mary and Leah at Island Style Weddings. I called and emailed...A LOT! They were very helpful with the little details and vendor recommendations for flowers, the cake and hair and makeup. There is not a single thing that Mary and her team didn't execute perfectly. Their attention to detail, unwavering commitment, positive attitude and dedication were in a word FLAWLESS. Not to mention their taste level, which is also extremely high, and something you really need to consider when you hire a wedding planner.

If you are getting married in St John and you don't live there, you would be crazy not to hire these people. Awesome people and outstanding work.

Hiring Island Style Weddings was the best decision we made during wedding planning. We live in CA so we were very far from St. John. Mary and Leah were so easy to work with and very accommodating considering we had quite the time difference. The value provided was well worth the cost!!! Mary helped with every aspect of the wedding including helping with the day sail on Kekoa we took the day before the wedding. Every vendor that she recommended was absolutely amazing (and I'm not exaggerating.) Mary’s stock of décor and other wedding accessories was great and she was able to accommodate every special request we had. On top of coordinating the wedding, reception, and everything else, Mary and Leah were extremely nice and personable. They went out of their way to help our guests with travel advice as well. We give Island Style Weddings the highest recommendation! If and when we decide to renew our vows, we will be calling Mary!

My wife and I were already married before coming to St John USVI, and our parents and us just wanted to have a little Destination Island Wedding Celebration type of event at St Johns. And then came Mary, she waved her magic wand and turned out little celebration into the Wedding of the Year. Mary was extremely easy to work with, with outstanding artistic visions and abundance of wedding knowledge and resources. And most of all, she customizes the wedding around YOU and YOUR own vision and dreams, just making it a million times better.

This is the FIRST review I ever written for anybody or anything, but after how our wedding (see I'm calling this celebration my wedding now because it exceeded my own actual wedding) turned out absolutely astounding, I have to say thank you so much to Mary and Leah for all your hard work and dedication. The wedding was planned out so seemlessly and wonderfully, it made us groom and bride feel we were so spoiled but at the same time so worry free so we can just focus on and enjoy the company of each other and with our family during this special occasion. Mary and Leah were even nice enough to join us for dinner at my request, cooked by the best chef on the island, Ted Robinson by the way.

All in all, if you're planning on a destination wedding, island wedding, or any type of celebration at St John, Virgin Island, calling Mary will be the best decision you can make since you chose your beautiful spouse.

Thanks again, Mary and Leah, for planning a wedding celebration that exceeded our expectation by a thousand miles.

I highly recommend Island Style Weddings! We used them to both plan and officiate our wedding, and they really made it seem easy and took away any anxiety I had about planning a destination wedding. They are so knowledgable and do a great job working with you to customize your wedding so that it fits your wants/needs and who you are as a couple. Wish we could do it all over again!

We had the most divine wedding, setting, photographer everything was just in place.
I love Mary diversity and flexibility, sharp eye to prevent and resolve any last minute problems... If there is any!
You always want to have some one that can be so sincere and strong look in their eyes wend they are talking to you, reasurness, motivation, keep calm and beautiful smile to kept you going on the most especial day in your life... You can't ask more then that... Professionalism is what you can get with them.

Mary and team were fabulous to work with. They helped us navigate the logistics of a destination wedding and made us feel comfortable all our choices. Our officiant Beth was super - calmed our nerves, was optimistic and positive and very touching during the ceremony. My husband and I couldn't be any happier then the service Mary had provided us. Weddings are never easy things to plan especially if you are planning from abroad. Mary had made the planning process easy. Mary answered all our questions on timely manner. St. John is a very small island and things like dry cleaning is supplied by one vendor. Mary had all the right contacts to ensure we got dress and suit ready for the big day. I don't think a lot of brides can say they were stress free on their wedding day but I can admit, I was and only because I had the best wedding planner in the world. Thanks Mary and team:)

Leah and Mary from Island Style Weddings were amazing! Leah was so prompt and quick to help us with any of our needs or concerns. Planning a destination wedding can be a challenge & having people who are so experienced, knowledgable & pleasant made it relatively easy. Our most heartfelt thanks to Mary! When we made the decision to renew our vows in St. John - we didn't really even know where to begin. Mary was referred to us and what a blessing this referral turned out to be!

Mary guided us through the planning process - including suggestions on the ceremony and assistance with vendors. As we met with her to share and prepare for the actual event, we were comforted by her professionalism and kindness. Then - on the day of the renewal it all went so smoothly. She was so gracious and kind and did such a great job as she served as officiant, planner and hopefully a new friend!

As a family this was such a special time and Mary guided us through - shared in the beautiful ceremony and allowed for us to have an incredible renewal in celebration of our 30th anniversary.

Thanks, Mary - I'll recommend you every chance I get - and who knows - maybe we'll do this again for another special anniversary celebration!

Mary exceeded all of my expectations. There are so many extra special details she added to make our day perfect. Her decor inventory for the ceremony and reception and her decorating ideas were beautiful and a great value. She was always very timely and helpful in responding to phone calls or emails. I was very stressed with our wedding planning when I initially spoke with Mary and she immediately calmed me and I was assured everything would be taken care of perfectly and just how I wanted. We were having a terrible experience with a different wedding coordinator on St John (Ceremonies), forfeited our deposit, and hired Mary 1 month before our wedding and she pulled everything together very smoothly and absolutely beautifully. Mary very quickly had a great feel for our styles and everything was executed just how we wanted! Going with Mary was one of the best decisions we made made in our wedding planning process.

If you are planning your wedding on St. John you MUST use Island Style Weddings!!! Mary and Leah were fabulous from start to finish. Our goal was to have a very stress free wedding and Mary/Leah gave us just that. I was so impressed from the very first time I contacted Mary, she responded to my email very quickly and that level of service never stopped. All my bride and I can say is THANK YOU to Leah and Mary for making our wedding go off perfectly. They are kind, professional, timely, and always there for you during the entire process. Mary and Leah were extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process and helped to make the wedding worry-free. We can not thank them enough for helping to make our wedding day so special.

I do not know if there are any areas we can comment on for areas of improvement - our day really did turn out great. I appreciate being able to be so involved with the ceremony and especially like the moment given to us during the ceremony. Everyone who attended and those I have told since being home about the ceremony all agree that that was a very special touch to the ceremony.

Our wedding in St. John was AMAZING thanks to Mary and Leah of Island Style Weddings. Although we only had 26 guests, planning a wedding from a distance was stressful, not only because of the time spent thinking about it, but because you must put so much trust in your wedding planner. I had never been to St. John (my husband had so he knew the location would be beautiful), but we had never seen the ceremony or reception sites, had never met any of the vendors, but our blind faith in Mary turned out to be spot on. Her recommendations couldn't have been better. She was always professional and timely on every call and email we exchanged. Our guests were so impressed with how beautiful and easy the entire wedding was (as were we). I wish we could go back and re-make that weekend every year!

Mary and Leah did an amazing job with our wedding of 90 guests in St. John. Planning a wedding from so far away could have been challenging if not for the expertise of Mary. Mary and Leah went out of their way to make sure my family and friends experienced "the best wedding they have ever been too". Leah even sang two songs at our wedding. Working with Mary was an absolute pleasure and I would strongly recommend anyone who is planning a wedding in the Islands to use her, for it really makes it a stress free event.
