All I Wanted & More!
I wanted a photographer who wouldn’t just “pose us” for pictures, I wanted someone who would capture the emotions between us and Dara did that and more. The first look when he saw me for the first time, the sweet moments with my granddaughter, the hilarious moment when we realized we forgot the rings, the moment we shocked and surprised everyone as we jumped into the pool after our first dance in our tux and gown, the intimate looks between us and she truly captured the love and joy of our wedding day. To me it’s all that mattered. Dara did this so beautifully! You can even see the water dripping from my feet in the pictures when he lifted me. The sunset was gorgeous and one of our pictures was featured in the paper. I highly recommend Dara! -

Dara was our wedding photographer 14 years ago. She did an amazing job! She was very easy to work with and took such quality photos of our special day. All these years later, I just love looking back at the moments she captured so perfectly. Over time, I misplaced my original DVD and she quickly helped me be able to access them again! I highly recommend her for your photography needs!!! -

Dara was wonderful to work with! Our AMI beach wedding was an uncertainty with a hurricane rolling through, and our wedding date was moved up by 2 days, at the last minute, in preparation for the storm. We worked with a local wedding planner, and the photographer she originally had booked for our initial wedding date wasn't available for the new date. Dara was kind enough to step in and take over the photography for our wedding, and I'm so glad she did. She did an amazing job! -

Planning a destination wedding can be a little nerve racking. We couldn’t be happier with the results Dara gave us! She took so many great pictures and the perfect moments. We got our pictures back in only a few weeks and loved all of them! Dara played a part in making our day go so perfect! You won’t be disappointed if you hire dara! -

Absolutely recommend Dara!
Dara was very prompt through the entire process, from returning emails to getting our photos back to us. She played a huge role in making our wedding day go so smoothly. Our pictures were absolutely beautiful and we were amazed at how she captured so many special moments by herself! Dara was so fun and easy to work with and very reasonably priced. We also hired her husband as our dj and they worked so well together and made our reception flow seamlessly. Highly recommend Dara (and her husband chuck) for any event! They rocked! -

Dara is the best!
We used Dara for our destination wedding 5 years ago. Upon Returning to Anna Maria Island, Florida for our anniversary this year, she was the first person and only person I wanted to have capture my family photos. She specializes in weddings, and she should add family photography to her list of specialties. She took photos of my family that I literally cannot stop looking at- I can’t stop smiling at them. She exceeded my expectations on my anniversary and went above and beyond what I asked for. She went the extra mile to capture everything I could have dreamed of and then some. And this was just for an anniversary photo shoot- imagine how I felt 5 years ago on my wedding day!
Dara is simply amazing.
There is no other word to describe her and her work. Dara let’s you have fun and captures the real moments - the real laughs and smiles and memories and not just the traditional poses. She froze time so that the moments will last forever. I look at the photos and it takes me right back in the moment. She is a true artist.
I cannot say enough good things about her. I’m lucky to have found such an amazing photographer and person. She is easy to work with, kind, reliable, 1 of a kind, and so sweet.
We hired her husband Chuck Caudill for our dj and live music during our ceremony . They are definitely a dynamic duo - and everything ran smoothly. It was nice to only need one contact for the 2 most important vendors of your wedding day! We had a destination wedding and she made it easy to work with, had great communication, and made the whole process less stressful for us.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words- and if u hire Dara as a photographer, each picture is worth a thousand thank you’s. Thank you Dara!❤️

A sunset did not look to be in our cards and Dara kept an eye on it and we were able to capture some beautiful pictures just as the sun made it's appearance to set. She was kind, gave the perfect amount of direction, and was a pleasure to work with. She was the calming presence we needed as the bridal party was getting ready. Love her! -

Dara was very professional, she did an excellent job documenting the whole wedding via photographic images, gave us a great deal of flexibility to pick the poses we wanted and indeed the quality of her work was awesome! She was fun to be around and all our guests commented how nice she was to everyone.
For us it was very important to find a Photographer we could trust and after getting our pictures we are so happy we picked Dara. Highly recommend her to anyone!

She and her husband Chuck Caudill (our DJ) worked perfectly together and photos & music ran smoothly because of them! Using them both, we got a discount. Dara was so professional, friendly, and on the ball! I don't think her prices are too high, and you get the rights to your photos, so no worries! Choose her for weddings in the area! -

She answered all of our questions and concerns. All emails were very prompt. We live in Pennsylvania and not being that familiar with Florida, she gave us an amazing comfort level. The pictures that we received are fantastic! Dara takes her time to make sure each picture is of the highest quality. Dara is a very personable and caring person. She paid attention to detail and added to our special day! I highly recommend Dara Caudill / Island Photography! -

She took so many fantastic pictures that it made choosing the items in our album quite a challenge. The album is amazing - and being artistically challenged all we did was pick the pictures and leave it up to Dara to design. Everyone is amazed at the beautiful pictures, the layout, and the quality of the finished product.
Dara was very easy to talk to and ask as many stupid questions as I could come up with. She was always accessable via phone or email and was quick to respond. I love that the pictures on her website reference the vendors used for the weddings - you get a great feel for your other vendors through her past work. A photographer can make or break a wedding and we definitely chose the right person with Dara. Between her and Chuck, the wedding and ceremony were as smooth as a bride could hope for. -

My husband and I felt like we had an old friend taking our pictures. She's incredibly responsive and friendly. We saw her at lunch a few days after the wedding and she even snapped a couple shots of us at lunch! I recommend hiring her husband for DJ and live music. They are a powerful combination of services! -

We chose Dara based on her amazing photographs on her website, and what a great choice! We did not want anything too stuffy or formal which is why we married on the beach in the first place. Dara made our guests feel at ease, captured every moment with charm, and gave us everything we wanted in a photographer and more. Our sunset pictures were so intimate and we will truly cherish them for the rest of our lives together. Dara and her husband, Chuck, who provided the music for our big day, are an amazing, fun, completely professional team. It couldn't have gone off without them. -

Jennifer Sent on 08/06/2009Dara is truly a talented artist. My wedding pictures are one of my most treasured memories captured as images forever. The quality of her pictures is excellent. She worked with us when we had to change our venue at the last moment, stayed longer than originally scheduled when rain delayed our wedding, and did all this while fighting an ear infection, what a trooper.
