Pampered Anniversary Getaways

This was our second year to book with Nancy Finn and Island Getaways to the beautiful Generations Riviera Maya. The resort allows access to the full property for dining and amenities. We enjoyed an ocean-front massage, upscale dining (cooking stations abound!), clear, beautiful beaches, and a snorkeling trip. Nancy's team arranged for affordable direct flights and transfers. The staff at the resort seem genuinely happy to serve and work with guests. So nice to have a slice of paradise around anniversary time and celebrate! Island Getaways considered every comfortable detail, short of packing my suitcase.

Nancy Finn of Island Getaways is absolutely amazing! She helped plan our 50th wedding anniversary trip to El Dorado Maroma, and it was flawless. From the moment we arrived, with a limo waiting at the airport, to the champagne and chocolates delivered to our room with a personal anniversary wish, every detail was perfect. Wedding in Jamaica

Nancy has been exceptional to work with! Every trip we’ve taken over the last 4 years, she has been our go to! Nancy was instrumental in, not only the travel arrangements for our destination wedding, but the planning and implementation of everything as well! Our rehearsal dinner was a bonfire on the beach with s’mores and our ceremony was over the Caribbean! Nancy helped to set up everything and provided guidance when I was uncertain. During our 7 day stay in Montego Bay, the airline went on strike the day we were supposed to fly back home. Nancy helped get our rooms situated until the strike was resolved. She was empathetic and compassionate while also very knowledgeable and solution oriented. We will continue to work with Nancy for all of our travel needs!

I Can't Recommend My Island Getaways Enough - Best Decision Ever

Nancy Finn at Island Getaways has been the most unbelievable asset to my family and myself. Previously, I had never utilized a travel agent for my trips. However, because of our wedding and aiming for efficiency and safety for our guests, we performed some research and reached out inquisitively. Immediately, Nancy reduced our anxiety and prioritized efficient communication. Her team verbalized what a benefit they could be for us and our guests. My skepticism was immediately diminished. I currently work as a night shift ICU RN, furthering my education, which means that my availability is limited.
I emailed or called with any questions and had immediate responses with assistance and clarification, even at night, and on weekends. Multiple occasions proved to support my decision to choose Nancy from Island Getaways. Hesitant family members, who had never planned international trips before, received comfort through effective communication from Nancy's team. From the first time that I contacted her, my anxiety has been substantially reduced. Because of Island Getaways, I've had more time and energy to enjoy this wedding planning process. As time progresses and the wedding comes closer, I do wish that the communication stayed more consistent with my guests, but I am overly enthusiastic about this single most exciting experience with my family and friends. I can confidently verbalize that this process wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable or stress-free without the assistance of Nancy and her team at Island Getaways. We will have 32 people coming with us to Jamaica on Dec 7th, and my heart has never been so happy. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm going to spend my wedding week with my closest family and friends in Jamaica, and I owe a huge part of that to Nancy and her amazing team.

Nancy is the Best!

Everything was just wonderful. We've been to a Riu in Jamaica and a Dreams Onyx in Punta Cana, and Sandals Royal Bahamian had hands down the best food. Everyone was so friendly. Our room was not only gorgeous but so clean. We had a blast. Our massages and candle-light dinner on the beach were very special honeymoon touches. Thank you to Nancy for all her assistance in coordinating! After our big day, this island getaway was exactly what we needed.

Nancy and her staff are absolutely wonderful! When I started the process of planning a destination wedding, I contacted MANY travel agents and right off the bat Nancy was the most responsive, most experienced, and most informative. Since booking my wedding, Nancy has been nothing short of amazing to work with. She even put together quick getaway for my Fiancé’ and I to do some wedding planning onsite at El Dorado Royale Casitas. Nancy definitely has the back of all of her brides and works non-stop to get things done quickly, efficiently, and at the best price.

Stress Free Wedding Planning

We were married in Cancun (Riviera Maya) in August and at first planning a destination wedding seemed very intimidating. With so many destinations and resorts to choose from, we really didn't know where to start. That's were Nancy at My Island Getaways came in - from picking the destination and the resort to helping with communication between us and the resort wedding coordinators, Nancy made the process easy and stress free. She took care of booking resort reservations for each of our guests, organizing airport transfers, and communicating details to our guests so that we wouldn't have to. All we had to do was show up! Nancy was always available to answer my many questions and responded to e-mails and calls promptly. Our wedding was an absolute dream and we couldn't have planned it so seamlessly without Nancy!

50th Birthday Trip of a Lifetime

We did, Sunnt take a honeymoon right away, but decided to do a trip of a lifetime for my 50th birthday. Nancy helped us to plan the most amazing trip ever at El Dorado Casitas Resort in Mexico. Our first time there. Nancy took all of our requests into consideration when helping us to plan! Sun, relaxation, gourmet food, top shelf liquor, beach, and 5 star service :) Thank you Nancy for helping to make my 50th birthday trip one to remember for a lifetime ( and our belated honeymoon! ) we will recommend you to everyone we know that wants to travel!

Destination Wedding with Island Getaways

We had our destination wedding at Generations Spa & Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. We chose this resort per recommendation from our amazing travel agent, Nancy Finn with Island Getaways. We worked together for over a year and it was a relatively seamless process. She was very responsive and showed a lot of care for our big day. She even surprised us with some upgrades e,g, limousine to and from the Cancun airport, and a room upgrade. We highly recommend her for all your travel needs especially if you're considering a destination wedding.

Amazing help booking our honeymoon

We booked through Nancy Finn from Island Getaways and we were so pleased with all her knowledge and help booking. My husband and I had the best honeymoon while staying at El Dorado Sensimar resort. We were located in the villas right beside the Beach BBQ restaurant. Working with a travel agent is so worth it; it definitely made us feel very comfortable with where we were going and how we were spending our money. We had an amazing room located steps from the beach we were showered with champagne, fresh fruit, chocolates, deserts and a decorated room just about every night. Nancy also made it possible for us to have a direct transport to and from the airport giving us less time in the car and more time at the resort. I highly recommend booking your next vacation or honeymoon with her.

Honeymoon goals

My husband and I successfully planned the most epic destination wedding. And though a girl never reveals all her secrets, I feel that everyone needs Nancy in their life. Nancy handled our entire guest list with all their reservation needs with such ease-or so she made it seem that way. Our family and friends revel so much about Nancy, we knew we made the right choice. She even was able to organize a post wedding day excursion for our entire group-talk about herding cats! We booked our destination wedding in Riviera Maya through Island Getaways. We were extremely happy with the service we received. Nancy and her team were very responsive and easy to reach throughout the planning process. We thought that having so many guests traveling internationally would be a chore, but Nancy made it very easy. She really knows her stuff when it comes to providing a luxury experience in the Caribbean. Every aspect of our trip and accommodations were consistent with the way they were described to us. They also provided excellent customer service to our guests and family, which was equally important to us. I would definitely use Nancy's expertise to help plan another one of my vacations. My husband and I were looking for a travel agent for our March 19th-25th honeymoon. At first we preferred to book local travel agent in the Chicagoland area. After reading reviews of several travel agents, we decided to take a risk and branch out of the area. Nancy Finn was the first non-local travel agent I came across. After speaking with Nancy, we decided to book her as our travel agent. Nancy was extremely patient, professional and kind. In addition, she provided suggestions for different resorts to pick for our honeymoon. We eventually settled on Sandals Regency La Toc in Saint Lucia. Nancy and her assistant Savannah made the entire planning process extremely easy. We were so impressed with their customer service, that we decided to use them again for our next two trips. I would highly recommend booking Nancy as your travel agent!

I used Charmaine George with Island Getaways to help us plan our honeymoon. She did an awesome job! She helped us pick a resort that was exactly what we were looking for. We stayed at Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia and it was amazing, everything you could ask for on your honeymoon. Charmaine also did a great job helping us when we ran into issues with our flights being delayed and missing connections. She seamlessly helped us cancel our old flights, book new ones, and even adjust the dates of our trip so that we didn't miss a night at the resort. She coordinated our overnight hotels for our layovers and figured out every little detail you could possibly think of. We were so grateful for her. Without all of her help it would have been a nightmare for us to get it all figured out. She took a terrible situation and made it much better for us! I will definitely be utilizing her again in the future for other vacations.

Our honeymoon was truly an amazing and forever memorable experience thanks to Charmaine George of Island Getaways! Being the Karisma Resorts GI Wedding, Honeymoon & Anniversary Specialist she arranged for incredible honeymoon treats including champagne upon arrival, flowers, massages, special romantic meals, and a private picnic on the beach just to name a few. Everything about El Dorado Maroma Riviera Maya Palafitos was mind blowing; incredible food, superior customer service, and simply a beyond perfect beach and resort. We very highly recommend Charmaine George and the Palafitos! Charmaine is very knowledgeable, kind, and warm. She was extremely helpful and attentive every step of the way from meeting, to booking, to emails, final details and follow up. She was there for us always. Everyone at El Dorado Maroma Riviera Maya Palafitos was truly wonderful and exceptional as well.

Nancy and her assistant were outstanding! Both were so easy to work with and both were so nice and friendly. I was never stressed about travel accommodations for us or any of our guests. Communication was quick and easy, I never had to call or email to follow up on a question or concern that I had. Nancy even helped to find specials and deals for our guests based on the time that they were booking their travel. This was the first time that we traveled with our infant daughter, and Nancy made sure that we were not worried about proper transportation and the safety of our daughter. Aimee with Island Getaways was absolutely fantastic! She helped my husband and I plan our Honeymoon in St. Lucia and her knowledge and advice were invaluable. She suggested that we split our trip between 2 resorts and we are SO happy that we did! We got to see so much of the island and through Aimee, we got to eat at the best restaurant we've ever been to. We even had a whole list of excursions and activities to try while we were there - not a single one was a bust! She is incredibly organized and on top of her game; communication was quick and efficient and I would HIGHLY recommend Aimee to anyone searching for a phenomenal travel agent! Charmaine George was our travel agent for our honeymoon to St. Lucia and we are SO relieved and thankful we found her. She made the whole booking process easy and stress free with Sandals. She also booked our helicopter ride for us and then when our flight was delayed she contacted the helicopter company for us and rearranged our reservations last minute. She also contacted the resort for us instead of us having to worry about communicating with everyone among the stress of our delayed flight. We arrived to our honeymoon suite to find a thoughtful note from Charmaine too! We loved our experience with Sandals and if we ever book with them again (which we hope to in the not so far off future) we will use Charmaine!

Island Getaways is the best travel agency to use when booking an island honeymoon! Nancy Finn helped my husband and I book our trip to Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas and we had a wonderful time there! The entire staff at Island Getaways is easy to work with, very professional, highly responsive and went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was phenomenal. Nancy even wrote a letter on our behalf to the GM to ensure that we would be well taken care of during our stay. I cannot say enough good things about Island Getaways - they really know the resorts inside and out. We liked using them so much that when my husband and I booked our next Sandals trip I contacted Nancy and she made sure that we got a discount that was not originally given to us when we booked it because we are returning customers of Sandals! We had the pleasure of working with Charmaine from Island Getaways. She was very helpful from the start, she booked our hotel as well as our guests' accommodations. Charmaine answered any questions that came up regarding travel or hotel. She also helped me communicate with my wedding coordinator from the hotel and would clarify things for me if they were not clear. She would answer all my emails and calls within a couple of hours. Tom and Nancy at My Island Getaways bent over backwards for us and all of our wedding guests. They would stay up until after midnight working with our guests on the last day of the discounted rate to get everyone booked. I wouldn't recommend doing a destination wedding unless they are involved to get the most out of your travel plans!

I believe I found Nancy Finn with My island Getaways via search engine but I can't be certain. All I am CERTAIN of is I made the RIGHT and BEST choice in working with Nancy and Island Getaways! Nancy is located in Brookfield, WI and I am located in Northern Illinois. We worked together completely over the phone and through email and social media and although we never officially met in person, she was very accessible and easy to work with.
Nancy from the beginning will become your best friend with her laid back, open-minded, fun and friendly attitude and she is so knowledgeable and well-connected. Talking with her is like talking with an old friend you've known for years. She just puts a stressed out bride at ease! She and her team will go above and beyond for their bride and groom and guests to make everyone happy and we felt it the whole time.

She is responsive with emails, texts, calls and social media. Nancy was also very understanding with various changes made along the way (I changed my destination from Turks and Caicos to Mexico and then changed my booked resort to another resort I liked better). She also is so well-known in the industry and has excellent connections to really ensure her clients are treated royally and have experiences and amenities that other travel agents or destination wedding planners just can't offer. She went above and beyond to fight for things I wanted for my wedding or things were not right or okay, she would get in contact with whoever she had to to make things right.

All my guests (All 37 of them that booked, plus the other 20+ who called her to get info or booked but backed out for other reasons) who worked with her to get their trip planned were very happy and enjoyed chatting with her on the phone. Nancy is a godsend and I consider her a friend. Nancy and her team are reliable, knowledgeable, friendly, trusted, well-connected, and well-respected. I highly recommend Nancy Finn and Island Getaways!

Nancy Finn and her team at My Island Getaways were amazing planning our Honeymoon! Nancy helped us pick the perfect destination and it was exactly what we wanted and more! Nancy had been to Sandals Grande Antigua many times so she was able to give us first hand information about the resort, the rooms and the best things to do around the area! Charmaine George with Island Getaways is incredible. Because of her dedicated service our wedding and honeymoon at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica was beyond a dream come true. Months after the wedding I have guests going out of their way to tell me what an incredible experience the wedding/vacation was from start to finish. Even people who didn't attend the wedding have told me they heard the rave reviews. Spoiler alert: that was all because of Char! My husband even thinks I was an easy bride (hah!). Char has her heart in this and I think that's what makes her stand out from the rest. She heard what I wanted and made it happen. Let's be honest though, helping me through wedding planning was probably a fraction of the responsibility that she dominated. We had almost 60 people at our wedding. That means she coordinated nearly 60 people's vacation plans for ONE EVENT....flawlessly. *mind blown* Look, there are a lot of agents out there you could gamble on. If you like gambling on your wedding/vacation have fun! However, if you're like me and you want to cut to the chase and have the best of the best I urge you to contact Char as soon as you can. My husband and I used Nancy and the team at My Island Getaways to book our group for our destination wedding in Mexico. From my first conversation with Nancy, I knew we were in good hands and she blew me away throughout the entire planning process.
She was so patient with our guests. Some had never traveled outside the US, so the concepts of international travel and all-inclusive were new to them. She always took the time, even off hours, to answer every question.
She was flexible and a great problem solver. She was always happy to accommodate any request I had, and I had a lot. Because we had booked so early, we had room change requests. A few were unable to attend and Nancy was able to book other people in their place so they got their money back. Our resort sold out months before and she managed to secure more rooms.
Planning a wedding remotely has its challenges, but Nancy always had our back. The resort suspended one of the wedding promotions that we booked under and she ensured that the resort honored it. She was also able to book our onsite wedding coordinator meeting in advance.
Nancy’s relationships with the resort and Lomas proved to be incredibly important. She surprised my husband and I with a limo upgrade hotel transportation and secured room upgrades for our ENTIRE group. The resort knows when an Island Getaway group is coming and you are treated like VIP.
The service didn’t stop after our trip was over. She called immediately after we returned and took a genuine interest in our experience. A piece of décor went missing and she contacted the resort on my behalf to locate it.
Her passion is apparent in the work she does and she truly goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy. She values relationships over the sale. Do yourself a favor, book with Nancy -she will ensure you have a trip of a lifetime. I know we cannot wait to work with Nancy again!

I booked my destination wedding at Azul Fives in Mexico with Charmaine George of My Island Getaways and it was the best decision I made. She was so instrumental in my entire wedding planning process. She acted as more than just a travel agent but she was my advisor and the person in my corner that I could always count on to fight for me when the resort gave me a hard time with any aspect of the wedding at all. She was very knowledgeable in the resort and wedding process and my guide throughout this whole experience. If she did not know something, she would immediately find out and get back to me with an answer. She was great with my guests, always available and willing to answer any questions they had. She took care of all my guests bookings and was so organized which I really loved! She would send me updated spreadsheets from time to time with my guest bookings, dates, names, details...whatever I needed. This was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, knowing she had that portion of my wedding planning taken care of. Also, I know some of my guests weren't the easiest to deal with (they aren't even for me! Lol) but she handled every situation very well. I had many late bookings and room switches but nothing was ever a burden... She was always ready and willing to help in any way she could. My wedding was about a month ago and there are credits and refunds I still have pending from the hotel and even now, she's still in my corner making sure I receive every dime that is owed to me. I am eternally grateful to Charmaine for helping me plan one of the most important and memorable days of my life!

Nancy Finn and her agency (Island Getaways) never fail to make our vacations perfect. She really came through for us again. We traveled to Mexico with another couple. Nancy immediately got us a double upgrade for no cost. Then I informed her that our rooms were not near each other. She worked her magic and suddenly our rooms were right next to each other. Nancy was great to work with for planning our honeymoon! I found her on wedding wire and am so glad I reached out to her. We booked our first trip out of the Country to Jamaica with Charmaine George from Island Getaways and she couldn't have made this trip any easier for us! She helped put us at ease with taking care of every detail! She even make sure we had a little something special in our room as she new we were celebrating our Anniversary. Char really listened to what we wanted and assured us that Whitehouse was what we would best be suited with. And it sure was! Our room was not only located perfectly for us, it was very nice. We can't say enough about the Staff at Whitehouse! They not only tended to our every need, they did it with a smile! My husband kept commenting to me that even the Gardeners would look up and say 'hello' when you passed them. Our Concierge called us almost every evening to see if we needed anything and if we were having a good time. The food at Whitehouse was very good and the servers even better! We had a great time with the entertainment staff and even stepped out of our comfort zone a few times and took part in their games at the pool and during the night time shows.We enjoyed a romantic couples massage on the beach at night which was the most relaxing thing ever! Our last day there we went on a Catamaran Cruise and had a blast! We used Club Mobay and that helped make the transition into and out of the Country so much more comfortable for us. This service will always be included in any future trips for us! If there was any negative at all, it would be the ride from the Airport to the Resort. It was long and the roads need so much work, but from what I heard from other vacationers, it's like that just about everywhere in Jamaica. Char made this first trip out of the Country so easy for us by sending tips and reminders about what we needed to bring, who and what to expect where and what to watch for. We highly recommend her and will book all future trips with her!

I was referred to Nancy Finn at My Island Getaways via a friend who she also planned a destination wedding for. I had spoken to a couple of other not so helpful travel agents prior who basically sent me on my way with a ton of brochures and pamphlets for dozens of resorts all over the place. I was totally lost at where to go, what to do, etc. Nancy and her team were diligent in helping me and all of my guests (some were a bit "difficult"), even as far as to get a last minute room in a sold out resort (El Dorado Royale) the week prior to our wedding! The resort was perfect, everything went seamlessly, she got several upgrades for us for free including a limo to and from the airport, extras in our room, etc. I have referred multiple friends to her since then and have even gone back to El Dorado Casitas for an anniversary trip in 2016 and we're going back again this Dec. as well! Island Getaways goes out of their way to get you the best rates at the perfect resort, takes calls all hours of the day and they all truly seem to love their work. I highly recommend them!

This is the 2nd time I have used Nancy and Island Getaways for our travel agent needs and we are currently in the planning stages of our 3rd trip, she has a customer for life. I had originally heard about her services through a friend at work who recommended her based upon the great service she provided to them setting up their destination wedding. Her knowledge and first hand experience of the resorts we were planning on visiting was/is priceless. Any questions or concerns you have are quickly and easily answered by an email or a phone call. A couple weeks before our honeymoon we ran into an issue with the airline changing our return flight time that would have made catching our leg home impossible. Before we even knew there was an issue Nancy and her team had completely rebooked our flights to assure we had enough time to make it through customs and immigration. Had I booked the trip myself I would have never caught this small detail and we would have definitely been stuck at the airport with no idea what to do.

Me and my husband and our 70 guests to our destination wedding all worked with Tom and Nancy in making travel accommodations for our wedding. We continue to give the highest possible recommendation of Tom and Nancy's services to everyone we know, as they went above and beyond for us around the clock. I remember the night before prices were going to rise for the resort we were getting married at when more than 50% of our guests (procrastinators!) were all trying to book before midnight. Tom and Nancy both worked after hours with each and every one of our guests to secure their reservation before prices went up. This is one of many stories I have about their outstanding services. I cannot even begin to explain how thankful I am for Charmaine George of Island getaways. I went through 7 different travel agents from different companies to try to find someone like her. I have been planning my wedding for almost two years now and I was getting frustrated by many things including pricing, response time and overall just not getting what I really wanted. Then Char came into the picture and was literally the best thing that happened to myself and my now husband John. From the moment she sent that first email back, I knew I had found "the one". Charmaine was with me EVERY step of the way while planning my dream destination wedding. My husband and I chose to do a destination wedding. We let all of our guests know a year in advance so everyone would have time to save and plan for a trip. We wanted it to be a trip to celebrate our marriage but we also wanted it to be a time where we could be in a paradise together with all our friends and family on vacation. Our wedding was absolutely gorgeous at the Karisma Resort, El Dorado Royale. Our friends gave us Charmaine's info after booking accommodations through her to attend a destination wedding. My fiancé and I got engaged while working in Alaska, but live full-time in Ohio. We decided on a destination wedding, and after reading hours worth of reviews of resorts on trip advisor-one name kept coming up-My Island getaways. I emailed them, and within 24 hours heard back from Charmaine. We never thought it could have been as smooth as it was planning with her. we had many guests a little reluctant to go away for a wedding, but after any of them spoke with Charmaine, they couldn't stop praising and complimenting her. She felt like our long-time friend helping us plan out all the details. We went to El Dorado Royale in Mexico. Every tip-from her favorite bars and places to relax, were 100% on point. While on our honeymoon we ran into some issues, like not bringing enough money and I contacted via email Charmaine and she found a Western Union in Grenada and did all the leg work for me--It was a nice treat. She is more like a travel buddy than some agent on the end of the other line. If you need attention and someone to rely on this agency is the one for you to select without question! My wife and I used Charmaine as our travel agent for our honeymoon to Mexico in January 2014. She could not have been any more helpful than she was. I don't think there was ever a time when I sent her an email and didn't hear back within 24 hours! Every time we talked she was both friendly and helpful!
Charmaine knew a lot about the resort she was sending us to and we felt totally confident that our money was being spent at a place we would love...and we were more correct than we even imagined! The resort, Sandals Emerald Bay, was beautiful and the staff were so nice. We were very happy with how the wedding turned out. The wedding photographer took a bunch of pictures of us in different locations around the resort. I loved the bouquet they made of roses and orchids and they even put an ivory colored sash around it to match my dress color. They had the Chinese lanterns up for the ceremony which I thought added some nice color. The garden location was perfect. We loved the reflection pool and fountain as a backdrop for our wedding and reception.

We were quite busy in the days before the wedding with preparing and then after wards with golfing, sailing, swimming in the ocean and the pools, and we went on the 007 tour as our travel agent, Charmaine recommended. It was fun and definitely memorable. How often do you get to swim with pigs or sharks for that matter? And feed Iguanas all in one day! There was more to do there than we expected so we were very pleased that we had the chance to do so many things. It was our first time snorkeling during the 007 tour and we both really liked it. The golf course was amazing. We got caught in the rain on the last 9 holes, but it was worth it because the view of the ocean was incredible.

Charmaine provided excellent customer service and helped us find the best possible location for our destination wedding. She was there for us every step of the way with planning and was incredibly gracious and pleasant to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better travel agent!

I highly recommend My Island Getaways to anyone seeking a quality travel agency---especially, if you're looking to plan a destination wedding, honeymoon, or anniversary trip! In fact, I wouldn't recommend that you risk going anywhere else!

My husband and I recently returned from a 6-night, 7-day stay at Sandals Emerald Bay in Great Exuma, Bahamas and we are STILL processing all of the MAGIC of our wedding and honeymoon there!

Nancy Finn is absolutely amazing and ensured that everything was perfection---down to the tiniest of details. She assisted us in selecting the perfect room (a beachfront walkout villa), paired us with all of her favorite staff there (butlers, pre-wedding coordinator, etc.) and I couldn't be more grateful.

I have absolutely no complaints---our experience was an absolute dream!

Char was AMAZING!! We never would have been able to book the wedding of our dreams without her!! We had a destination wedding in Negril, Jamaica at Couples Swept Away and she handled everything for us and made sure it was as stress free as possible. Even when we were in Jamaica at the resort and things didn't start off on the right foot with our resort she knew exactly who to call and made sure we were taken care of and even got us upgraded to a beach front walk out! She was quick to respond to all our emails/phone calls and also was very helpful in making sure our guests were taken care of as well. We had 47 people that traveled to Jamaica for our wedding and she took care of all their travel needs as well! Everyone raved about how much they LOVED her. My husband and I used the services of Nancy at Island Getways to plan our 2008 honeymoon and we just recently used her again to plan an early five year anniversary trip. She is great to work with. She was very patient and informative when I was wavering between two different resorts. She also provided us with very competitive rates which helped finalize our decision. We ended up going back to our honeymoon spot at El Dorado Casitas Royale! Everything went so smoothly at the resort. Check-in was a breeze and our room (selected by Nancy) was perfect. We were treated like VIPs when we arrived and that treatment continued throughout our week there. I truly do not know what I would have done without Nancy and Tom of Island Getaways! Thanks to the insightful recommendations by Nancy Finn we had the wedding of our dreams! She went the extra mile countless times throughout our entire (over a year long) planning process, for the entire wedding group! Just planning a wedding can be so stressful. Add to it coordinating 20 guest’s flights and hotel stays in another country! If it weren’t for Nancy’s diligence and patience we would have been nervous wrecks trying to plan it all. I don’t know how she does it, but she managed to work her magic and make everyone happy.
In our first meeting at Island Getaways we knew we wanted to have the wedding in Jamaica, but we had no idea which resort. The best decision we ever made was to take Nancy’s first suggestion to get married at the Sandal’s Whitehouse with our friends and family, and transfer to Sandal’s Negril for our honeymoon. Let me just begin by saying…WOW!
We had the most wonderful amazing wedding! I cannot begin to thank Aimee Moore with myislandgetaways.com enough for all the work and effort she put into every detail of our May 8th 2010 wedding. You have no idea how much Aimee went above & beyond for all of us with booking and got us lots of extras and upgrades. Aimee went over every spot we had looked at and she was so honest about every pro & con of every place we had our eyes on, and she just wasn’t trying to sell us something! The hotel we ended up choosing El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya, Mexico it was perfect for us, and all 30 of our guests who made the trip with us!

All of the pre-arranged details from the transfers to the candle light dinners and honeymoon breakfast were so well organized and made all of us feel so pampered! All of Aimee’s planning made our wedding trip so stress-free. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of! I thought planning our wedding would be so stressful that I would need medication in the end, but it wasn’t and Aimee was right there to answer every one of my crazy questions by phone or email 24/7! She took the time to get to know us and it meant that the wedding of our dreams was everything we were looking for! We wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Right now we happen to be pregnant with our first baby but the minute we feel comfortable leaving the baby with grandparents we are calling up Aimee to book a late honeymoon! I am sure being new parents and not having time for ourselves we can count on Aimee to handle every detail of the honeymoon! We can’t wait!

My husband and I were referred to Island Getaways travel agent Aimee Moore. She was absolutely amazing. Not only helpful, but very responsive. She always got back to me right away with any questions I had (and I had many). Aimee gave us many options of different resorts to choose from, never pushing just one resort on us. My husband and I were married in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at Couples Tower Isle. It was more than we could have imagined. Everything with the wedding turned out perfectly. Latoya the wedding coordinator of the resort made it so simple and easy. I didn't have to worry about anything but showing up. Nancy was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is easy to get in touch with (I called her at midnight once and she was available to talk), prompt about returning emails and phone calls, and a wealth of knowledge. She is a Saint Lucia expert and was very helpful with helping us to decide which places to stay at and for how long. She also took care of all of our transfers. Everything went perfect during the honeymoon, so I never needed to contact her, but I’m confident that if there were an issue, she would have handled it right away. She also made sure that if there were any room upgrades available, we would get them. We did in fact get a room upgrade at Jade Mountain, and it happened to be one of the nicest rooms they have! We never knew Paradise was so close to home. I'm repeating the other reviews, but it's worth repeating! Planning and booking our honeymoon was the easiest part of our wedding thanks to Tom and Nancy. I called them in a panic, on "information overload" from trying to do it myself, and they were so helpful. Their experience with the Caribbean was invaluable, their tips and advice were spot-on, and our trip went incredibly smoothly because of their input. Even down to little things like "bring bug spray", which made us the envy of many of the other guests!

Jamaica was everything we hoped it would be, Couples Swept Away in Negril was absolute paradise, and we can't wait to go back! I wouldn't even think of calling someone else to book our next trip -- it's Tom and Nancy all the way!

I have worked with Nancy from Island Getaways for awhile now and she is AWESOME! The best there is. I have done alot of traveling and worked with alot of agents and none could come close to comparing with Nancy. I will never go anywhere else. I am a very fussy person when it comes to travel and she has never let me down. I have had Nancy book several trips for me and there is never a slip up. All the I's are dotted and the T's are always crossed. When Nancy books a trip for me I always am treated like a VIP. We recently went to Sandals Antigua and we felt like royalty from the minute we got off the plane. We traveled to Sandals Whitehouse where we got engaged and that was awesome too. She has booked trips for me to St. Lucia several times, Jamaica at Couples Negril, Sandals Royal Bahamian etc... Nancy booked our honeymoon for us at Sandals Emerald Bay. But, "booking our honeymoon" did not just mean setting up the flights and resort reservations (though, she did that fabulously), it also meant giving specific reviews and advice on all the possible resort and island choices, giving recommendations on excursions, and handling any hiccups that come up during a vacation. Simply put, Nancy went FAR above and beyond for us! The resort was just as wonderful as she described. And, when we had a small room hiccup at the beginning of our trip, Nancy called the resort and soon we had a new room, the resort manager was calling to check on us and give us gift certificates for couples massages. I would use no one but Nancy for booking a trip in the caribbean, Mexico, etc.

We had a great honeymoon in Antigua thanks to Aimee at Island Getaways. I do a lot of traveling and originally I was just going to book everything for our honeymoon, but since I had never been to the Caribbean and was a little overwhelmed with our options we decided to go with a pro and boy am I glad we did. We gave Aimee a list of what we were looking for in a honeymoon destination and she came back with a few recommendations that suited what we were looking for. We decided to go with the Sandals Ochi resort in Jamaica and Aimee was great to work with as she booked our room, travel, and excursions. All was good to go until shortly before our wedding when Hurricane Matthew starting heading towards Jamaica and was expected to make landfall around the same time that we were scheduled to arrive. I called Aimee and she was already working on other options for us. She called and texted us to keep us up to date on our options and allowed us to focus on our rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony while she did all the last minute changes for our honeymoon. We announced to our guests at the rehearsal that we were playing “honeymoon roulette” because we weren’t sure where we were going but we would know something soon. Sure enough, Aimee came through for us and got us booked at Sandals Antigua in a rondeval room with butler service and a private pool. The hurricane may have been a blessing in disguise, we got quite an upgrade from what we originally paid for in Jamaica! I was thoroughly impressed as Aimee worked late into Friday night and well into Saturday and Sunday to make sure that all of our details were updated. Come Monday morning we were able to depart for our honeymoon just like we originally planned thanks to some awesome last-minute heroics by Aimee. The Sandals resort was fabulous and we said we would definitely like to go back to that one or even try a different location; either way we will definitely be going thru Aimee again when the time comes!

Great Vacation Booking Experience!

Nancy from Island Getaways was so extremely helpful in planning our vacation! Her expertise on the location and travel options made the booking process effortless. She answered my multitude of questions and kept in contact with me before, during and after the trip whenever I needed advice. Would highly recommend booking through Island Getaways!

I went with Nancy at myIslandgetaways after having a friend of mine recommend her website to me. I am sooooo happy I called her. After listening to me about what I was hoping for in a vacation she gave me several recommendations for where I should spend my honeymoon. After my (now wife) and I made our decision she set our whole trip up for us. She also personally contacted the Sandals resort we were staying at and got our room upgraded for us. Nancy also recommended to us several excursions and restaurants for us to try when we were in St. Lucia. Again, she was spot on with her recommendations. Finally, her staff was always helpful if she was unavailable. I would DEFINITELY go back to myislandgetaways for any other trip I have planned.

This summer we were able travel to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica and it was beautiful. We celebrated our marriage and Nancy helped in creating beautiful memories for us. I was able to call Nancy and staff with any questions or concerns and they were very efficient. I definitely look forward to working with island getaways over and over again!

Nancy at My Island Getaways helped us plan the most memorable honeymoon and since then 2 other unbelievable anniversary vacations. She is so knowledgable that all we need to do is give her a couple pieces of info and she can suggest and plan the vacation of our dreams. We had a very relaxing honeymoon at Sandals Emerald Bay and more active vacations at both Sandals Negril and Sandals Antigua. She makes planning exotic vacations easy by coordinating everything. Nancy is also very easy to to get ahold of during the planning process and works with your schedule taking all of the stress out of planning. You will be so happy with My Island Getaways - we won't book through anyone else!

Always amazing! Thanks to Nancy Finn for planning yet another amazing vacation for our group. It cannot be easy to coordinate with 4 couples on location, flights, price etc but you always pull it off providing us with a beautiful, fun-filled, vacation. I would personally like to thank both you and Tom for going above and beyond when booking our vacations. I love the "real" pictures that you send me prior to my arrival. I always know what to expect once I reach the resort. From Mexico to Jamaica, you have always surpassed our expectations. We look forward to booking with Island Getaways every year. As the groom, I was in charge of the honeymoon. I love to travel so it was the perfect job for me. My wife had found Island Getaways at a bridal show in the Milwaukee area and met Nancy and immediately liked her. Shortly there after I met Nancy after already talking to her on the phone and I couldn't have agreed more with my wife.

Nancy was a pleasure to work with and helped us create a beautiful Saint Lucian honeymoon that met our budget and time frame. We were presented with as many options as we had requested and given the advice we sought quickly. I know there are lots of other beautiful spots to honeymoon, but we had our heart set on the Caribbean and Saint Lucia was the perfect spot for us.

Any future vacations we plan I wouldn't hesitate to work with Nancy and Island Getaways again. Her personal experience with all the resorts she showed us gave us a comfort level that we knew we would be getting exactly what we were hoping for. The bottom line is at no point were we concerned with our choice and now with our honeymoon over we have nothing but beautiful memories to look back on.
