To many of our friends’ surprise, we actually enjoyed planning our wedding, which is largely due to Jamie and her team. From start to finish, she made the whole process feel organized, calm, and even fun.
Throughout planning, Jamie always made us feel heard and supported. She was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, always available to talk through ideas, to-dos, or just be a sounding board. She kept everything on track and gave us so much peace of mind knowing that nothing would slip through the cracks.
Jamie took all of our ideas and DIY projects and turned them into a cohesive, beautiful vision that felt authentic to us.
On the wedding weekend, her team was phenomenal; any time we needed something, they were right there. Thanks to their coordination, everything went off without a hitch. Jamie and her team truly went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect, and it absolutely was.
We can’t recommend her enough. She’s the reason our wedding planning felt joyful and our celebration felt effortless. -

We recently got married on Martha’s Vineyard at the East Chop Beach Club, and I can honestly say our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without Jamie from Island Dreams as our planner and day-of coordinator.
From the very beginning, Jamie was incredibly organized and proactive. She helped us with vendor outreach, made excellent recommendations, and ensured we secured all the rentals and little details we might never have thought of on our own. She scheduled frequent calls and met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding to review day-of details and carefully document all the decorative items we provided for her team to set up at the venue.
Jamie also worked closely with my mother-in-law to help plan our welcome event the Friday before our wedding, making the entire wedding weekend feel seamless and cohesive.
On the day of the wedding, we faced very unpredictable weather. Jamie was amazing—she checked in with me often, even showing me videos of the venue conditions (including the wind blowing her hair around!) so I could see exactly what was happening. She and her team prepared three different ceremony plans and held off on making the final call until just 30 minutes before guests arrived. Even though I was disappointed we couldn’t have our ceremony outside as planned, Jamie made the whole process feel calm and under control. She even organized our bridal party to greet guests and help them to their seats, adding a personal touch that meant so much.
The decorations were absolutely stunning—Jamie’s team did an incredible job transforming the venue. Throughout the reception, Jamie continually checked in on us while ensuring everything stayed perfectly on schedule.
Jamie’s professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly made our wedding unforgettable. If you’re planning a wedding on Martha’s Vineyard, I wholeheartedly recommend Island Dreams. Jamie is simply the best! -

We worked with Island Dreams Event Design as a wedding venue in September 2024. Jamie and her team were an absolute joy to work with - professional, organized, considerate, and great communication.
Jamie understood what was needed to make the wedding a success and thought through several contingency plans when the weather wasn't ideal. This really saved the couple as they had a full on Northeastern during the wedding weekend. Thanks to Jamie and team, they wedding went off without a hitch.
On a personal level, Jamie is friendly and easy to talk to. She is a total life saver for planning a wedding on Martha's Vineyard! -

I could go on and on about how fabulous Jamie is. She hopped in on the planning process with us a little under a year from our wedding date and kept up with us all along the way and thank GOD she did because we certainly would have fallen behind. She is incredibly organized and creative. I felt not one ounce of stress on my wedding day and I know it’s because Jamie was there for whatever was thrown at her. She is incredible at her job, but somehow even more fabulous as a person. If you are questioning a planner/coordinator - DO IT! And choose Jamie. We love Jamie! We were SO lucky to have her involved with our wedding. From start to finish, she was an absolute joy to work with. She was on top of everything and kept everything on track. She handled things we didn’t even know we had to do and she did things for us that we had originally planned to do. She is efficient, organized, prompt and the kindest person to work with. She has extensive knowledge of the Vineyard and Vineyard vendors. Her background with architecture and design makes her stand out. She came up with renderings of our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception areas - which was amazing to be able to visualize what we were planning. She helped us understand and organize contracts. She helped with our to do list and made sure we were hitting all our deadlines. She helped us put together various DIY items the week of the wedding and she set everything up the day of. Her advice and assistance with setting up our wedding timeline for the guests and vendors was immeasurable. We were not stressed at all on our wedding day because we knew everything was going to be perfect and just the way we wanted it. She was the contact for all vendors and guests who needed assistance the day of the wedding, which again put us at ease so we could enjoy our day. She made sure our guests with food allergies were well taken care of. Also, her assistant for the day, Natalie, was just as sweet and efficient as Jamie. We felt like we had 2 lifelong friends helping us on our special day! We wish we could have a wedding every year so we could work with Jamie again and again!!! -Caitlin & Garrett -

Jamie and the Island Dreams team exceeded all our expectations and working with them was a highlight of our overall wedding experience. Jamie planned and executed our dream wedding for a large group of 275 guests of varying ages, backgrounds and interests. She made us feel confident and excited rather than stressed throughout the process. She has incredible attention to detail and proactively and seamlessly coordinated with all our vendors, including taking our vision and objective to heart and continued to bring us back to the big picture while also painstakingly dealing with details that we never would have thought of. There were so many times where we planned to do something but Jamie had already done it. She also brought her design experience as an architect to help us understand space and seating options for our large number of guests. She anticipated issues large and small. When the weather forecast turned bleak and it became clear that it was going to significantly rain on the wedding, Jamie worked with us to ensure that the rain plan was executed and did not diminish the joy of the festivities. She went above and beyond in so many ways, including creating detailed transportation schedules for both vans and shuttles. In sum, Jamie and the Island Dreams team are exceptional and we are confident that they would deliver for you like they did for us. -

Best wedding planner on the Island
Island dreams event is the best wedding planner on the island. The owner Jamie is professional, organized, and goes above and beyond to make your day perfect. I shared my vision with her and she made the day even better then I had imagined. Jamie spent hours on the phone with us leading up to the day and helped support us with all our vendors. On the day of the wedding she was a life saver getting up early to help get everything set up. She even took and shared pictures she took the day of so we could see the behind the scenes. We had the pleasure of working with Jamie for the Beach Road Weekend event on Martha's Vineyard where she designed two VIP suites. We can not recommend Jamie enough, she is your go to girl for ANY event!! Her drive, creativity, passion and dedication shines through all of her work and she is truly inspirational. Jamie was the first person on site through out the entire weekend ensuring that all areas were presentable for the guests. She went above and beyond and exceeded all of our expectations, not to mention the VIP areas she designed were admired by all guests and it was amazing to see their reactions.
Jamie's organization and excellent communication skills made this entire event come together seamlessly. Jamie's talent is displayed throughout all of her work, if you have a vision, or need inspiration in creating the perfect atmosphere for your event, she's who you need! She's like no other planner in the industry, we can not recommend her enough!!!!
