Who does the detailed Event Planner Bride call for their dream wedding? ISLAND BLISS WEDDINGS!!!! To those of you who actually read these reviews, let mine guide you into helping you to choose your wedding planner. ;-) As an Event Planner & owner of 2 additional businesses, there are a few things that are extremely important to me: Customer service, the DETAILS, communication & professionalism. Janelle possesses all of those things & more! From the moment we began planning our wedding, until the day of, we must've exchanged over 1,000 emails, easily! While Janelle is VERY busy (which is a good sign), the one thing that stood out to me the most was...I ALWAYS FELT AS IF I WERE HER ONLY BRIDE. I felt like I was made a priority & she responded to EVERY question, text & phone call. I had a vision of how I wanted my wedding to look, all the way down to the agate stone place cards on the table. On our wedding day, I did not leave the room until it was time for me to walk "down the aisle". Janelle had placed every floral arrangement, napkin, sign, candle, etc exactly where I envisioned it! & let me tell you, as an Event Planner, it is sooooo hard to let go of the control & allow someone to execute your vision. Lol Needless to say, we couldn't have been more happy with Janelle's services. She assisted with transportation for our guests, handled custom items that I had shipped to the islands, etc. If you're looking for a detailed, professional, attentive, responsive, creative Wedding Planner in the Virgin Islands, Island Bliss Weddings is the one! We can’t recommend Island Bliss Weddings enough! Planning a destination wedding can feel overwhelming, but they made the entire process completely seamless from start to finish.
From the very beginning, they provided a clear, step by step guide on what to do and when, with a detailed timeline that kept everything on track. Their communication was incredible.
What truly set them apart was how they went above and beyond. Not only did they flawlessly coordinate the wedding details, but they helped us plan excursions for our guests, making the whole experience unforgettable for everyone.
Every vendor they connected us with was top notch. It was clear that they have strong relationships and only work with the best.

Janelle and Stuart of Island Bliss Weddings brought our February 2025 destination wedding in St. Thomas beautifully to life. They are incredibly organized, knowledgeable about the islands, and made the entire planning process feel seamless.
They helped us choose the perfect venue for our 90 guests at Villa Botanica, kept us on a clear planning timeline, and provided an excellent selection of trusted local vendors. They also planned our welcome party, helped with my bachelorette planning, helped with guest accommodations, and coordinated packages from the mainland. On the wedding day itself, everything ran beautifully! We couldn’t recommend Janelle and Stuart more highly. -

Just needed paperwork done and they made it happen!
We had the absolute best experience with Island Bliss Weddings and Aaron as our officiant. Our situation was a little different since our actual elopement was planned for St. John. All we needed was help in St. Thomas from the airport to turn in our paperwork and then make it to the ferry on time. Aaron and the Island Bliss team were incredibly kind, accommodating, and understanding of exactly what we needed.
From start to finish they catered to our plans, made everything seamless, and removed all stress from the process. They were punctual, friendly, and truly made us feel taken care of during our short time on St. Thomas. Everything was handled efficiently and with such a positive attitude.
This was hands down the easiest and smoothest getting married experience we could have imagined. If you are looking for a stress free, professional, and genuinely caring officiant, we cannot recommend Island Bliss Weddings and Aaron enough. -

I cannot say enough good things about Island Bliss Weddings! Stuart and Janell were absolutely amazing. Planning a destination wedding to a place I had never been felt overwhelming at first, but they made the entire process so easy and stress-free.
They answered every question I had (and I had a lot!) with patience and kindness, never once making me feel like I was being annoying. They truly brought the wedding of my dreams to life and then some. Every detail was thought of, from the thoughtful airport pick-up and goodie bag to the flawless day-of coordination.
On the wedding day, their setup and organization allowed us to let go of all stress and simply be present, which was priceless. Everything went seamlessly, and I can honestly say the day was more perfect than I ever imagined.

A Destination Wedding Dream Come True – Thanks to Janelle & Stuart!
Planning a destination wedding in the Virgin Islands—especially at a venue we had never seen in person before the week of the wedding—was a bold and exciting choice. But it also could’ve been incredibly stressful… if not for Janelle and Stuart.
From the moment we reached out, Janelle and Stuart were exceptional—thoughtful, warm, calming, and completely professional. They responded to emails with lightning speed (often within the hour!), and their care, patience, and attention to detail made us feel seen, supported, and in excellent hands every step of the way. They were the steady heartbeat behind the wedding chaos—handling the logistics with grace and compassion while letting us focus on the emotion and magic of the day.
Every element of the wedding—venue selection, vendor recommendations, shipping logistics, scheduling, and the overall design aesthetic—was thoughtfully guided and beautifully executed with their expertise. At the last minute, my husband and I decided to change our plans and elope (no guests) to St. Thomas, with about a month to plan. I reached out to Island Bliss and they planned our elopement ceremony in about a week. They broke down the process so it was easy to make sure everything was taken care of. They were professional, courteous, and responsive. They were there for anything I needed-not only wedding planning, but where to stay, what to do, and how to make the most of St. Thomas! Planning the wedding ceremony was the LEAST stressful thing about the whole trip. They know what they are doing. I don't like planning events and they did all of the hard parts. I chose what I wanted and they did everything else. Everything was very organized. Our elopement/honeymoon was so beautiful and romantic because of Island Bliss Weddings. My husband and I could focus on each other and just enjoy ourselves because they had everything taken care of. It was a wonderful experience. -

Stuart, Janelle, and our onsite team of Scott and Marissa were INCREDIBLE. Stuart always answered promptly when I had questions from the time we hired them about a year before the ceremony. Their insights were invaluable, and the resources they put together to preemptively answer questions about their process and trusted vendors were supremely helpful. I've included some photos of the wedding setup, flowers they ordered from their florist, and cake that they coordinated with the florist and bakery so it would match my bouquet! They helped me fulfill my dream of a tropical, stress-free wedding to the love of my life. Scott and Marissa were fun, organized, and made everything the day of super easy. Andrew, the steel pan player, was an absolute blast and his performance added another element of the tropical paradise I'd dreamed of for my wedding day. My experience with Island Bliss Weddings has been spectacular. Since we chose a venue on a hillside that is a home, we had to secure all the tables, chairs, tablecloths, linens, silverware etc...and Island Bliss did not disappoint. They had everything we needed! The string lights they installed accented the evening venue perfectly. Delivery was prompt, professional, and efficient. Janelle also was great about so many local vendor recommendations. -

Island Bliss is a top notch wedding planning company! From when we first decided to work with them through the end of our wedding day, the whole team was incredible!
Stuart and Janelle, the owners, are extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and experienced. Any time we would email them, they would respond in less than 12 hours and give their honest feedback and opinions. They work with the best vendors on the island. They made the process
seamless, coordinating directly with the vendors on our behalf and making sure that everything was set up how we wanted it. They are extremely organized and transparent throughout the process. We were given a shared doc and many resources to help us make decisions along the way. The shared doc included all of the details we shared with them and was always up to date. They also shared an invoice that was kept up to date with additions, so we could keep track of any upcharges we requested.
Aaron, was our officiant and he was incredible! He actually picked us up at the airport when we got it, which gave us the opportunity to get to know each other and become comfortable with him. He made ceremony feel personal and was able to include sentiments unique to us. We were told by multiple of our guests how great he was! We also liked that he stood to the side the whole ceremony so that the focus was on us.
Marissa was our day of wedding coordinate and WOW she was on top of her game. From the moment we got to the venue she made sure we were taken care of and everything was to our liking. She kept the schedule on time without making us feel rushed. Even though we only worked with her that night, it felt like we had known her for a long time.
We owe our perfect wedding day to this team and can't believe it was as seamless as it was! We had never been to the island or the venue, so we put all of our trust into Island Bliss and they didn't disappoint! Stress Free cruise ship weddings renewal
Before I found island Bliss I was trying to organise everything myself and it was a real struggle. Island Bliss were fabulous in helping us to organise the wedding renewal we wanted. Communication was great and answered all our questions promptly. The information they sent us was very comprehensive and and structured and made organising the day effortless. I loved that you could see what you had sorted and what still needed to be decided on and that you could keep an eye on how much everything cost. Lindquist beach was stunning and the vendors used were all fantastic. We used Alexandra Marie Photography and so happy with the photos. Island sweet stuff for the cake which looked and tasted beautiful. We had a white arch with silk flowers, my bouquet was perfect and followed inspo pictures exactly. Our officiant Aaron performed a beautiful ceremony and everyone was where they said they would be at the times agreed
Would 100% reccommend.

From the initial inquiry to the day of Stuart and Janelle were very attentive, answering all of our questions and giving advice. IBW was amazing and responsive from the very beginning! It can be a little scary to plan a wedding from many miles away but they made it very easy! We had a huge group for a destination wedding of over 130 guests; Janelle and Stuart were able to help us find a venue that could hold all of our guests incredibly fast and connected us with all the vendors we needed with choices for most vendors. Janelle and Stuart were incredibly responsive and helpful with the few details I needed them for my destination wedding. The order process and invoice were easy to follow, they were quick to respond and answer my many questions. We ended up with beautiful flowers that everyone loved and the arch we got married under was perfect. They delivered on time and the delivery team were very nice and efficient. The pickup after the event was also quick and easy. Last minute I needed a large table cloth and they were able to easily help. Definitely recommend this amazing vendor for any needs you might have for your destination wedding! -

We just had our intimate wedding ceremony in the beginning of October and Island Bliss helped us coordinate everything. From the beginning, Janelle & Stuart were beyond helpful with the whole process and any questions I had, which were a ton of questions! They were honest and transparent with everything. None of us had been to St. Thomas before, so trying to coordinate everything for a wedding was a bit difficult. They made it as easy as possible for us. Day of wedding, we had a morning ceremony. We were running behind a bit but they made sure everything continued to run as smoothly as possible. St. Thomas Dream Wedding via Cruise - Villa Botanica
We are 1000% in love with everything about our big day, it was our dream wedding and we couldn’t appreciate the IB team more for making it happen.
Janelle and Stuart were such a pleasure to work with. Their experience, knowledge, creativity, and Island connections helped ease our stress from planning a seemingly complex destination cruise wedding of 100 guests. They were very accommodating with our vision, timelines, and all our requests. Our favorite part of working with them was bringing our theme and vision to life - we constantly bounced ideas off of each other and ultimately landed on an incredible bold and modern theme that worked so well in a tropical garden setting (Villa Botanica).
We and our 100 guests came to St Thomas by way of Royal Caribbean Cruise, and Janelle and the Island Bliss Team absolutely nailed the coordination of a jam-packed big day! From pick-up at the port to getting ready to the ceremony to the reception and all the way to drop-off at the port, we and our guests had an incredible experience and were well taken care of by the Island Bliss team (and vendors). Everything, including the unique venue, the arch, reception tables, the FOOD, the cocktail hour with violinist, and most importantly the team.
Aaron and Alexa made sure we as the bride and groom were comfortable, fed, happy and at ease. They constantly checked in on us regarding water, our attire, food, timeline adjustments, and everything else that comes up on wedding day! Kelli and Prestwich did the same for us, among other video/photography things. We had an unfortunate experience in which one of my bridesmaids suffered from heat exhaustion at the tail end of our ceremony - and Alexa, Aaron and the team jumped on it to tend to her while still somehow juggling everything else going in during cocktail hour and picture-taking. We appreciated that the ceremony started on time as planned, and when we experienced any delays - Alexa was on her feet and very flexible to make necessary adjustments and ultimately caught up to schedule. She was on point with communicating with us and DJ Dell as well.
The black geometric arch setup was beyond our expectation - big, bold, simple yet elegant - especially with the tropical greenery in the background. It popped so beautifully! It was perfect behind the sweetheart table as well and made for even more beautiful photo opportunities.
The table decor and welcome table setups were just stunning. The black and gold really popped in this setting. As I kept telling our guests who complimented them, “we and our wedding coordinator really put our ideas and thoughts together to come up with this vision and we are over the moon and couldn’t be more happy with the way they turned out!” So thank you and the team for not only the creativity but the execution.
Our photographer was Kelli Peevey and she absolutely rocked it. Her day-of coordination, efficiency, and knowledge of the grounds helped us capture so many picture-perfect moments. She sent us sneak peeks right away and we were awe-inspired by them. Her work and edits are second to none, and the pictures take us back to all the beauty of our special day.
Our videographer was Prestwich Films who teamed up with Olivia Whitaker and Haleigh Barber. They were such an outstanding team - extremely helpful on the day-of and having 2 shooters made for such incredible videos. They really captured the energy, vibe and love from our big day in our teaser and full video and we couldn’t be more in love with them. We watch them almost daily.
DJ Dell as well as Chris Robberts really set the scene with the music and announcing for ceremony, reception and cocktail hour. Working with DJ Dell from planning to day-of was super smooth and we enjoyed getting to know him throughout the process. He really took the time to get to know us, our background and our music selection - and it showed in the way he got us and the crowd involved throughout the day. He played all the jams we love and he got us singing and dancing all day long. We also appreciate his flexibility with changing timelines and how the ceremony and grand entrance music was seamless. Since we were taking pictures most of cocktail hour, we weren’t able to hear the majority of the violinist but thanks to Alexa’s coordinating, she made arrangements for bride + groom to make it to the last 2 songs (which were our song requests). She had us stand at the stairs right above the dance floor while Chris played to us. We loved this - it was a beautiful time for both of us to enjoy a moment together while our guests were able to watch us in pure bliss and made for great photo/video capture.
The venue and food were also huge stick-outs for our wedding. Stepping foot through the entrance door to Villa Botanica, we were taken to a lush, natural oasis set apart from the sights and sounds we and our guests have experienced during the rest of our cruise and trip. We and our guests were overwhelmed with all the picturesque moments and sceneries the Villa has to offer. The food was AMAZING and also like no other meal we experienced during our cruise/trip. The local fare was everything and it was the highlight of many of our guests compliments as well. Please give compliments to the chefs who were also working hard that day, to deliver the food on time and with top quality!
We ADORED the cake - Island Sweet stuff absolutely nailed our look, and the cake along with the coconut key lime cupcakes were the tastiest and most delicious wedding desserts we ever had! Even better that they were all local tropical flavors so the desserts certainly added to the authentic Caribbean experience for us. I have to mention, we were so happy to be fed during our wedding day. Many of our guests were impressed with us being able to eat because apparently it’s common for bride and groom to eat very little if at all on their big day - we owe much of this to Alexa, Aaron and the VB catering staff who took care of everything and left us very little to worry about.

IBW Planned our DREAM Wedding!
A few months into planning a local wedding in Washington, DC, my now-husband and I found ourselves entirely overwhelmed by the idea of a large wedding, not to mention the ever-growing list of (often opaque) costs. In a desperate search for a simpler, more affordable, and more "us" option, we came across Janelle and Island Bliss Weddings. And we are so grateful we did. The moment we decided to cancel our DC wedding plans and move forward with a wedding in St. Thomas with Island Bliss, it was like a huge burden was lifted off our shoulders. We had the best partners in Janelle and her husband, Stuart - the two of them were responsive, honest, and full of great ideas. We planned our wedding in less than FIVE MONTHS. I think the bulk of the planning happened about 10 weeks out, and Janelle was very patient with us as we figured out what we wanted (I am not the kind of bride who pre-planned her wedding...). We had 40 people attend, which was our dream micro-wedding. Janelle and Stuart answered every single question we had and sent us any information we inquired about, including things outside the wedding day itself (i.e., welcome party recs, post-wedding activity ideas). Additionally, we greatly appreciated the flexibility that Island Bliss offered throughout the planning process - we never felt pressured to purchase anything extra but when we wanted to add on a service that was outside of our package (say, a videographer a mere one week before the wedding) Janelle and Stuart took care of it right away. They were also always very upfront about costs. I am not exaggerating when I say that literally every part of our wedding day was not only perfect, but more magical than we ever could have imagined. Every single wedding vendor Janelle works with is of the utmost quality. And even the vendors that were recommended to us by Janelle but not booked through our wedding package (specifically, bridal hair and makeup) were exceptional. Our wedding venue, Villa Botanica, was an absolutely breathtaking paradise with the kindest, most hospitable owners any guest could dream of. Our guests are still talking about the food at our wedding and we were blown away by the consistently great service the entire evening. Our photographer, Brooke Heikkila, and our videographer, Tropic Media, were both booked through Island Bliss and each were skilled pros - our photos and videos turned out stunning. DJ Dell was awesome and we had a lively dance floor and great photobooth the entire evening. And the Island Bliss team itself was incredible. Our day-of coordinator, Alexa, took care of every single detail and even brought us food and drinks from cocktail hour as my husband and I were taking our photos! She was extremely professional and kept the timeline moving while also being a complete joy to have around. Aaron, our officiate, did an amazing job officiating our wedding - he didn't have any notes and officiated our wedding as if he had known us for a long time (and not like we had just met that morning!). Aaron seamlessly led everyone through our interfaith (Christian/Jewish) ceremony, which was not an easy task as we had some moving pieces. There's so much more we can say about our day and all its details but we will end with this: if you want a beautiful wedding and a dependable team, go with Island Bliss Weddings. Amazing!!!
I have never been married I know nothing about weddings I knew nothing about the island so I was very nervous.. I asked Janelle for her opinion on things I didn’t know she gave it to me and I took it .. I had to downsize my original package because a lot of people could not make it she did it with no problem.. Best for Destination Wedding
We planned a vacation to St.Thomas Virgin Islands and decided to elope while we were there due to COVID. I found Island Bliss Wedding via google, and I am so happy and pleased I reached out. We literally emailed her about 3 weeks prior to the ceremony and Janelle made everything come together so beautifully and smooth from flowers, location, photographer, and decor.
She lays out everything she provides and expectations with communication. She was so quick to respond via email with all of my questions and requests. She will make your dream come to life, just ask tell her what you want.
I also loved that she gives suggestions for dinner, hair stylists, photographers,etc on the island. With someone not from St.Thomas, she made it easy for us to find local go to spots. My favorite part was that everything was stress-free for my husband and I to plan and on our actual wedding day. I would recommend Island Bliss Weddings to all my family and friends wanting a destination wedding. -

I found Island Bliss Weddings in 2018 by doing a simple google search of "St. Thomas Weddings" and after reading their reviews, I decided to go for it. Janelle was so easy to work with and always had answers to my questions even if she was over 2,000 miles away. I was pretty laid back and only communicated with her via email but I did know that I had the option to call/text her if needed. I trusted her judgement in the vendors she recommended (hair & makeup, flowers, DJ, etc.) and none of them disappointed. Our wedding day was so perfect and everything went according to plan. Janelle and her husband were on site the entire time to make sure everything went according to plan. I cant rave enough about Janelle, and her team - Stuart & Aaron. They were so wonderful to us and really enjoyable to be around as people. I would 100% do this again in a heartbeat. Janelle set up our wedding on Lindquist Beach and created perfect memories for Darin and I. It was just us two. They picked us up at the cruise ship, took us to get our licences, then on to the beach for a wedding, champagne toast, and professional photos for the family at home. Janelle and Stuart were awesome to work with. She stayed in constant communication while we planned the wedding of my dreams. I sent her pictures of my vision and she made it come to life! Beyond exceptional!
Janelle with Island Bliss Weddings is amazing to work with. We got married on 6.22.19 on Trunk Bay. She was very quick to respond and when she didn't respond right away, she had sent an email or a post online advising us (her brides that she was working with at the time) why she could not respond right away and when she'd be getting back to us. If it was an emergency, she always had her phone on and would try to respond ASAP.
I can't describe how much help she was. She made my DREAM WEDDING a reality. When asked, the only answer I can give is that my wedding was "beyond my dreams" and "more than I could have EVER imagined."
She listened to my needs/wants/ideas and put together a day and evening I will NEVER FORGET! Whenever I had a change, it was no problem. When I didn't know an answer (because I couldn't picture it or some other reason), I put it in her hands, and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! She helped with vendors (photographers, videographers, floral, music, restaurants). She gave us information on all and let us decide on them.
Scott, our Officiate, was awesome as well. He loves what he does and is so natural and happy while doing it. I received so many compliments on the service with Scott and how genuine he was (especially with meeting us just earlier that day!).
I had NO STRESS with my wedding. Everything came together absolutely PERFECT and beyond. Janelle and Scott will get it done, they'll make it work, they'll put it all together.
I cry every now and then because when I think back on my day and look back at our pictures, it was BEYOND PERFECT and I could not have dreamed of anything more.

Dream came true
I was engaged for a year and couldn’t figure out what kind of wedding I wanted. After looking online I had a crazy idea to elope to St. Thomas and get married, oh and I wanted to do it in less than two months. I thought for sure Janelle at Island Bliss Weddings was going to say I was crazy and then I was going to be crushed. Well guess what? She made everything happen in less than two months and I truly had a fairy tale elopement. From the flowers, to the arch, to Stuart holding the ceremony and BlueGlass with our photos I honestly could be any more happier. I thought it was going to be so complicated trying to figure everything out and organize everything since I live in Delaware and Janelle took care of everything for me! It was such a breeze, for me at least hahha Everyone back home was super jealous of our amazing photos and how we managed to pull this off so fast and flawless. I used Janelle and Island Bliss last March 2018 to plan my wedding on St. Thomas. I was coming in on a cruise ship with family and friends and Janelle helped me plan a wonderful ceremony and short reception at
Sapphire Beach. We had some bad weather on our cruise which ended up completely changing our itinerary. So much so that we weren't even scheduled to be in St.Thomas the day we had our wedding planned! No worries! Janelle was able to rebook everything for the following day and no one would even had known the difference.My husband and I were married on Pretty Klip Point and everything ended up being perfect!
Aaron was a wonderful officiant! Our ceremony was just the right balance of serious vs fun and light hearted. I couldn't have asked for anything more out of this day! It was exactly what I dreamed it would be! And working through Island Bliss made it so easy! I would recommend Janelle and Island Bliss to anyone looking for a beautiful destination wedding! -

We just had our wedding in the middle of November and still can't stop talking about what an amazing job they did. During the planning process Janelle dealt with my dozens of questions with grace. She did great in really giving me confidence that everything would be taken care of and be what we wanted. We planned with her for 10 months, and it became the easiest process every.
On the wedding day we were assisted with Aaron and another woman who I can't recall her name. THEY WERE ROCKSTARS! My husband and I really didn't want to see each other until the ceremony, so they were flexible with us and let me stay in their car until everything was ready. Everything was drop dead gorgeous and Aaron made sure her knew everything I wanted to happen so her could see it through. They were so hardworking and sweet.
The entire day was perfect! All the vendors that were arranged were perfect, gracious, and really made the day special. I can't speak highly enough on Aaron. He made the day go so smoothly we didn't even have to think!
We would recommend Island Bliss to the world!! You guys are outstanding, and we're so glad we decided to go destination with them! -

I originally planned the whole wedding on my own and after the hurricanes hit I was having trouble getting a hold of some vendors. Janelle picked right up where I left off and made sure everything got done and set for my big day. She was very responsive to my emails and requests. I also like how the brides had a facebook group so we could share ideas with eachother. I had Aaron Janelles assistant on my actual wedding day. HE WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! He made sure the day went so smoothly and was so sweet to me! Having him there to coordinate everything the day of was well worth the money! I don't know what I would have done without him. Island Bliss is great too because they have things you can rent like décor etc so you do not have to worry about shipping things to island. So much easier just to rent for the day. If I could plan my wedding all over again I definiltey would have hired Island Bliss first thing. would have made planning a lot let stressful. thanks for being there and being so great for my special day!

Barbi Sent on 12/30/2017Darin and I were married on Lindquist Beach on March 24, 2011 and we had the most perfect day. Island Bliss picked us up at the cruise ship dock, to get our license and then to the beach for an amazing wedding. IB made arrangements for flowers, minister and photographer and their choices were spot on. Scott and Janelle made sure everything was perfect, down to our private champagne toast. Our wedding party of two was something we will always remember and I look forward to renewing our vows in 2021.
