Isham is a uniquely beautiful and magical place, and we're so grateful to have gotten married there! From our first call with Farmer Mike (the 5th-generation owner of the farm), we had the loveliest experience. Mike and his wife Helen made us feel at home. They are so kind, genuine, and brimming with contagious joy. We plan to come back and visit Isham many times in the years to come. We're forever grateful to Mike and Helen for having us!

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention a few of the things that make Isham special:

They only host one wedding a weekend, and make the farm available as a welcome/rehearsal dinner venue on Friday and for brunch on Sunday, all included in the rental cost.

They have a new getting-ready area for the bridal party, so we got to spend the entire day in the space, and even picnic outside in our matching bathrobes!

Isham is a hub for the local community: they host a weekly farmer's market, as well as community theater productions. When we first visited, they'd held a middle school cabaret in the barn the night before. They encourage couples who get married on the farm to come back and visit. Isham is a fantastic wedding venue, with everything they need to accomplish that, but it's also not just a wedding venue, and you feel the history and love of a family-owned, beautifully cared for property when you're there.

The ceremony site is on a gorgeous and secluded hill, with beautiful views and no noise pollution.

The dinner tables are beautifully handmade.

Farmer Mike and his family farm are the best and we’re a dream to work with. The location is beautiful and they were so kind and helpful!

Isham Family Farm and Farmer Mike were everything and more that we could have hoped for on our wedding day. The farm was the perfect setting for our Rustic Vermont Wedding. We were lucky to have a perfect day, weather-wise, with warm temps and sunny skies, but even in the rain the venue is absolutely breathtaking. The barn is perfectly renovated, and maintains a great rustic charm while still providing space and amenities to make one's wedding day flow smoothly.

Farmer Mike went above and beyond every step of the way, helping us out in so many ways the entire wedding weekend, from initial set up on Thursday through take down on Sunday afternoon. He provided well-heeded advice and support, as well as wagon rides to the top of the hill (our ceremony site) with gorgeous views of Mansfield and Camel's Hump. The farm maintains a very intimate feel since it only has six weddings per year. We feel very blessed to have had our wedding at this special, unique spot, and cannot thank Farmer Mike enough for all the help and kindness he provided us.

Getting married at the Isham Farm was the best decision we made! Mike is incredibly helpful, involved, and responsive - even while operating a functioning farm. There are several options on his property for outdoor ceremony locations, and the barn provides a beautiful space to hold the reception - minimal decoration required! With all of the flexibility, you can really make your wedding your own.

Mike Isham is possibly the sweetest man we have ever met. It was such a dream come true for my husband & I to get married in such an untouched, 'real' Vermont barn and grounds. I could not have asked for a more helpful, supportive experience than the one Mike Isham gave us. He made us feel like the only couple/family in the universe as we planned, and when my family & I arrived three days before the event to begin set-up, he was there every second of each day right beside us, helping with every project you can think of. He offered many of his antique farm decor items for us to use, helped with the heavy lifting type work, and gave great advice. You would NEVER believe that this man has only done weddings at this gorgeous venue for one full wedding season.

The venue itself is spectacular. My husband proposed on Camel's Hump and we knew we wanted a venue that offered beautiful views of the mountain. Isham Farm delivered hands down with that requirement. Our guests took a gorgeous tractor/wagon ride to the top of a beautiful meadow (which Mike provided, free of charge), where we had our ceremony & beautiful Camel's Hump views. Mike has many other ceremony site options as well. We then celebrated the night away in the AMAZING restored post & beam barn, which was more than a comfortable size for our 100 person wedding. I would say 150-175 in that barn would still be comfortable. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of this venue.

If what you are looking for as a couple is a REAL Vermont Barn/ Rustic Elegance/ Romance wedding venue, then this is it. We have been to many barn weddings where the venue does a wedding per weekend from April to November, and we knew that sort of venue was not for us. We wanted real, raw, beautiful Vermont. What Mike does is something special and rare. He books no more than 5 weddings a year which makes each one feel untouched and unique. He does this right! We would recommend Mike & his beautiful property to anyone who asks. A+++++++

Isham Family Farm was absolutely wonderful and perfect in every way. We had a gorgeous ceremony up on the hill with views of the mountains and farm fields, and a lovely reception in the beautiful old (but newly renovated) barn. Farmer Mike was great to work with! He was very responsive to all of our questions and personally made sure that all our needs were met. He really took the extra time and effort to make it a special day!

Mike Isham did a phenomenal job with our wedding. He was present, very flexible, and helpful. The barn for the reception was absolutely gorgeous and had an ample amount of lighting and power. It was advertised to hold 175 people for dinner and we had about 170 with no issues. The ceremony site was beautiful and gave us some great pictures. Overall an excellent experience - would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an outdoor venue with an excellent indoor backup plan.

We are proud to have been Mike's first wedding and cannot emphasize enough how incredible the venue and Mike are. Due to horrible weather, we had to move our wedding with a week to go and Mike stepped up to save our day. The venue is gorgeous and authentic (honestly, the red tractor was the biggest hit of our party) and Mike goes above and beyond. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a gorgeous, still unique Vermont venue.
