This is a review for both the ketubah and wedding ceremony:
I was in the wedding industry for 15 year and I have done thousands of weddings throughout my career. The level of care and service Cantor Marc provided us was just unforgettable.
I am Catholic and my now husband is Jewish, so for that alone it was difficult to find someone who can marry us. I was calling around for days trying to find someone who can marry us on such short notice, and before the holidays none the less. No one was available... some didn't even answer or return our calls. When I finally connected with Marc, he pulled over to the side of the road just to talk to me and discuss our needs. We were planning my 40th birthday party with our surprise wedding ceremony for our family, all in a matter of 3 weeks!!
As we began to talk, he said that was able to move his schedule around just to help us out. He then quickly scheduled follow up appointments with us and moved us through the process quickly and efficiently, with love, care and compassion, and a hint of laughter. We did a zoom to connect, and then met for dinner in person and planned everything within an hour at dinner. From the moment we met, we knew that this was going to be different, and somehow, special. This was our guy!
Due to logistics, we had to do the ketubah signing 1 week prior to the wedding. We did a private ketubah ceremony at my in-laws house and, JUST WOW!!! His storytelling of the emersion of our relationship was so thoughtful, thorough, and such a wonderful surprise, even for us. During the ketubah he had us crying and laughing at the same time. Our parents loved him and left a wonderful impression on them as well. He was so amazing and expressed through his own facial expressions that he was not only doing this for his job, but true emotion expressed throughout the ceremony was so loving, it touched all of our hearts.
For the wedding ceremony ( which was a surprise for all of our guest ) he was not what anyone expected. He started with his normal spiel, ensuring that everyone was respectful and quiet during the ceremony. Once we were past that, the Cantor Marc show took off! He had us all laughing, crying, singing and participating in our event. Again, with all my years of service to this industry, hands down, this was the most sentimental, heart felt, and interactive ceremony I have ever attended. He even filmed the whole process, saving a beautiful, up-close and person video for us, that showed us the "inside story" from the chuppah cam!
After the wedding ceremony was over, Cantor Marc went above and beyond. He continued to film us, dancing together, blowing out my candles for the cake, and catching beautiful moments of us with family. During that time, my husband and I looked over at him, and we could see the sincerity in his smile, and through his eyes, we saw that he was truly with us, like a part of our family. That's the feeling that we ALL had.
The days following, our families were so moved by his service, commenting on how amazing and funny the Cantor was. That he truly put together a beautiful, heart felt, and expressive ceremony. This was coming from those that have never seen a Jewish wedding ceremony before, and from those that have seen it a 100 times! They even went on to mention that after they had left for the night, and into the next day, could feel the warmth followed them from the event.
Cantor Marc, from the bottom of our hearts, you are now a part of our family. Please know that, with your loving embrace, you made our special day that much more meaningful. I don't know if anyone else could have done what you did... with the love, attentiveness, and compassion that you did. My husband and I, several weeks later, are still watching your videos with the happiest of tears in our eyes, and immense love in our hearts for you and what you helped us accomplish.
Thank you so much, for everything. My birthday party and our wedding surprise will go down, to this professional and to the bride and groom, as the best ceremonies... EVER!

Our biggest worry for the wedding was ensuring everything transitioned smoothly on the big day. Cantor Marc really helped with that, making it seem easy throughout the ceremony. We did find him Marc a bit closer to the wedding then preferred but he was great and adapted very well to our needs. We picked him after the initial meeting because we knew his enthusiasm would entertain everyone and drive home the ceremony. My husband and I were truly blessed to have Cantor Marc officiate our wedding. From the very beginning, he took the time to understand our story, our traditions, and our vision for the ceremony. Cantor Marc's warmth, guidance, and deep spiritual presence made our wedding not just an event, but a profoundly moving experience.
Cantor Marc curated a ceremony that was both deeply meaningful and personal, weaving together tradition and heartfelt words that touched everyone in attendance, connecting family members of diverse backgrounds come together. His voice was absolutely stunning—filling the space with beauty, reverence, and joy. Many of our guests commented on how incredibly special and moving the ceremony was. Our diverse cultural background presented no challenge for Cantor Marc and he embraced every part of it, he created a sense of unity amongst all friends & family traveling from all parts of the country.
We are so grateful for Cantor Marc's kindness, expertise, and the genuine care he put into every moment of our wedding. He had met with us on multiple occasions to build a relationship which was evident in our ceremony. Part of Cantor Marc's expertise and professionalism that I'd like to mention was that he took genuine care and interest in exactly what we would like embedded in our ceremony, therefore, there were no surprises on our actual wedding ceremony. Additionally, he timed every part out to the second, so we also knew how long to expect our ceremony to be. Cantor Marc offered and went over multiple trials and practices to calm our nerves which made this process truly a breeze and delightful.
If you are looking for someone who will bring grace, warmth, and a true sense of spirituality to your special day, we cannot recommend Cantor Marc highly enough! -

We feel so lucky to have had Cantor Marc officiate our wedding at Westlake Village Inn. We couldn't have found a warmer person who put us both at ease and set such a joyful, celebratory, and fun tone for the whole event. Everyone was raving to us about him afterward. Marc made us feel super comfortable from the get go and let us tailor the ceremony to what felt right for us. He was in close communication leading up to the event and was super helpful when we had to pivot locations the week before the event due to the fires. He surprised us with the most personalized ketubah ceremony I can ever imagine and with a dedicated book of our love story. We'll truly never forget any of it. He also brought his own keyboard accompanist, which really made the ceremony so special. He even videotaped our ceremony and the ketubah signing. We can't say enough how special that is. Getting to be married by Marc was one of the best decisions of the whole wedding. -

We put a lot of effort into finding the perfect officiant for our destination wedding in Cabo, and when we discovered Cantor Marc, every single review raved about how amazing he was during both the Ketubah and wedding ceremonies. We thought, “He must be great,” but assumed the glowing reviews might be a bit exaggerated. What we quickly realized, though, was that the reviews were actually underexaggerated. Cantor Marc was, without a doubt, the MVP of our wedding.
We first met with Cantor Marc over Zoom, and instantly knew his personality was exactly what we were looking for. We had a couple more Zoom sessions to fine-tune the details of our ceremony, and from the start, he was incredibly attentive and on top of everything. He went above and beyond, pointing out aspects we hadn’t even thought of, and making sure we felt completely comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process.
Cantor Marc led our Ketubah ceremony on Friday, and it was unlike any other Ketubah ceremony we’ve ever attended. It was deeply personal to us as a couple, while also being engaging and entertaining for everyone there. He truly did his homework and poured so much thought and care into creating an experience that was uniquely ours. Without giving away too much, he crafted a beautiful story about our relationship, weaving in insights from questions he had asked us, as well as our family and friends beforehand.
Then, the wedding ceremony itself. I’ve never been to a wedding where guests talk about the officiant afterward, but in this case, we’ve had countless people tell us that it was the most meaningful ceremony they’ve ever witnessed. Cantor Marc struck the perfect balance between heartfelt and fun, bringing both laughter and tears to everyone in attendance. He truly made our wedding unforgettable, and we feel so fortunate to have had him guiding us through the most important day of our lives.
I highly highly highly recommend Cantor Marc for anyone seeking an officiant. He is absolutely incredible. A month later, we still keep in touch, and I feel certain that we’ve started a lifelong connection. He’s simply the best. -

Canter Marc was professional and made sure he met every vendor to support and work together.
Canter Marc made my wedding truly unforgettable. Honestly, I’d get married all over again just to have him officiate! He had our guests laughing the entire time, and I can't imagine our special day without him. I'm beyond grateful he was the one to marry us. Marc was incredibly accommodating and took the time to explain the religious aspects of the ceremony that we weren’t familiar with. Working with Cantor Marc was an amazing experience. We had a multicultural wedding with a mix of Russian, Israelis and Americans which we asked Marc to accommodate. My husband and I got married in Israel by the Jewish religion, but we still wanted to add Jewish tradition to our wedding here in America. Cantor Marc was the perfect fit and was very flexible in helping us create the perfect ceremony. It was light, funny and he added the perfect Jewish twist we needed. Cantor met us via zoom for one meeting and at a restaurant for the second meeting. He listened to all of our needs and was able to explain to us exactly what he was going to do and was confident in his work. This made us feel super comfortable in what we were signing up for. Marc surprised us with planting trees in Eretz Yisrael for our name and marriage and created the book of Sheron and Ofir which was a great funny twist. After the ceremony everyone was talking to us about how funny, light and memorable our ceremony was and we would recommend him 10/10 to anyone getting married. -

Cantor Marc was nothing short of magical! We were so lucky to have him officiate our wedding at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. I'm Jewish and my now husband was raised Lutheran and Cantor Marc really did an amazing job of honoring both faiths. He even took the time to have a Zoom meeting not us with myself and my husband but with his parents as well! Our ketubah signing was equally wonderful! It was part religious ceremony, part comedy act, part magic show in the best way possible. Everyone was telling us how engaging he was and what a wonderful job he did. We really could not have asked for a more perfect ketubah signing and ceremony and as an added bonus he took a video of us during the ceremony and sent it to us later that evening. It was such a special moment to be able to see what everyone else was able to see. -

Many people came up to me after the wedding to tell me how much they loved the ceremony experience. Each time they said how entertaining and interesting Cantor Marc had made it.
Marc gave us the experience of exactly what we were looking for! He kept the guests engaged and entertained and never made anything feel dragged on. He also added some unique elements to the ceremony such as the singing of "Hallelujah" to be one to remember!
Even the Ketubah signing was a one of a kind experience. He used props such as a book that lite on fire to keep things lighthearted and fun!
Just to add some more unexpected things, Cantor Marc went above and beyond by having a couple of trees planted in Eretz Yisrael in our honor. He even gave us a marriage card game to keep our love growing strong.
I can go on and on, but to say the least if you want a fun and memorable Jewish officiant, Cantor Marc is the guy! -

Everyone RUN TO MARC. Run to his arms! He was the BEST decision we made for our entire wedding!! He truly brings a very human, personal, hilarious touch to the ceremony. We didn’t want a traditional boring ceremony, and Marc brought in the just right amount of sentiment, humor, joy, and love to make our ceremony perfect. Seriously guys, our guests were coming up to us AT our wedding telling us it was the BEST CEREMONY THEYVE EVER SEEN! And it was 45 min! Everyone said they were bawling and laughing and were just continually gushing about how amazing Marc is, even for months afterwards. Marc deeply cares about who he works with on a very human level — me and my husband could not recommend him more!!! -

From our initial meeting, Cantor Marc listened to everything we wanted and gave us so much more. With exuberation, I recommend Cantor Marc as your wedding officiant? His unique approach is everything we wanted: spiritual, funny, moving and he completely spoke our hearts. Cantor Marc listened to everything we said. Excellent Choice!
Working with Cantor Marc was one of the best decisions we made in regards to our wedding. We are an interfaith couple but it was important to have an authentic ceremony. He went above and beyond to really get to know us and help us decide what aspects to include or leave out of the ceremony. His voice is incredible and the musicality of the event made it not only unique but that much more spiritual. We elected to have him perform our ketubah signing ceremony the night before the wedding and that was a highlight as well. He had everyone engaged and entertained as well as educated if they weren’t familiar with Jewish traditions. He retold our love story to our family and friends, and even I myself learned facts about how my husband and I came to be together that I didn’t know or had forgotten! He gifted us with DIY Human cards that we’ve already opened and started to use. And we just know he’s not like the other vendors who we may never speak to again. We had a Zoom when we were getting started and his partner hopped on for a moment and told us we were in for the best ceremony, and she wasn’t exaggerating! The poem your friend Eitan read -- written by the Poet of West Hollywood just for you and Stas! ... and the most important piece of the ceremony, your vows.... so very moving, and heartfelt!
If I didn't know you are an attorney, I would have guessed you are a terrific event planner, Kiki!

Cantor Marc made a typically boring ceremony very entertaining! My husband and I spoke with him a few times before the wedding, and we totally felt like we were all on the same page in terms of expectations and desires for the wedding ceremony.
He was an absolute HIT with everyone. We are still getting comments from people today about how funny our officiant was, and how he made sitting in the LA August sun really enjoyable.

Where do we begin? My husband is Jewish, I’m not, and neither of us are particularly religious. We were looking for an officiant who could help us incorporate Jewish traditions into our ceremony, but also give us free reign to tweak and customize to our heart’s content. Cantor Marc was all of that, and more.
In our planning meetings with him, Cantor Marc went above and beyond. He walked us through each element of the ceremony, let us pick and choose what – and how – we wanted those elements to show up, didn’t fire us when we waited until the last minute to get our Ketubah and wedding license, and was genuinely just a pleasure to work with. We felt like we’d known him forever before our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
During our ketubah ceremony at our rehearsal dinner, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. He surprised us with some additions to our ketubah vows that were so special and intimate, and even came to the entire rehearsal itself to make sure we both fully knew what to expect.
As for the ceremony itself, there are simply no words. I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at two pieces of feedback from our guests: First, I’ve never been to a wedding where guests complimented the ceremony, but even months later, our family and friends are constantly talking about how wonderful Cantor Marc and our ceremony were. Our most macho manly guy friend was sobbing in the back row. And second, my father – traditional, conservative Southern guy – walked up to Cantor Marc after the ceremony and said “Man, maybe I should convert!”
We were absolutely honored to have Cantor Marc stay for our entire reception. When we woke up the morning after the wedding, we were treated to an entire Google Photo Album not just of the rehearsal dinner and Ketubah signing, but of hundreds and HUNDREDS of behind the scenes photos from our wedding – everything from family portraits to our special dances and the cake cutting. Having those photos to tide us over until the professional ones were in was so special and touching and truly above and beyond anything we could have expected.
I really can’t thank Cantor Marc enough. We both get a little weepy when we think about how special, loving and supportive he was from start to finish. We would recommend Cantor Marc to anyone and everyone, from the bottom of our hearts.

I can't say enough wonderful things about working with Cantor Marc, he was absolutely phenomenal. My husband (Agnostic) and I (Jewish) were put in touch with him early in our wedding planning process and we loved his humor and flexible approach to our wedding. We decided we wanted to work with him after our first conversation because we couldn't stop laughing at his great one-liners. He was incredibly attentive reviewing each part of the ceremony in detail and helping us with vows. Anything that didn't immediately resonate with us was pulled, further speaking to his ability to make our ceremony about us rather than what others "expect". I also personally appreciated his lack of pressure on any item I wanted pulled; his constant quote to us was "this is YOUR wedding, not anyone else's".
We genuinely couldn't be happier with Cantor Marc's services and have received a ton of positive feedback from our guests! They absolutely loved the way he ran the ceremony - the way the music seemed to perfectly match the tone (thank you Andy!) and kept everyone engaged. We were also so pleased with the intimacy of the ketubah signing. Over half of our bridal party wasn't Jewish and they were the most vocal on how wonderful and personal Cantor Marc made that.
I would recommend Cantor Marc to any couple who's looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic, genuine, and light-hearted cantor. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our day! -

The most amazing officiant we could have ever hoped for. Cantor Marc is perfect for a reform Jewish wedding or an interfaith wedding. Half of our family members were not Jewish and he went above and beyond helping them feel included and making Judaism approachable and fun. He truly got to know us and expressed such a sincere passion for weddings (and leading Shabbat on Friday’s). We highly recommend the Ketubah signing be held at the rehearsal dinner, Cantor Marc’s suggestion, rather than the day of the wedding. It deepened the whole experience for everyone and it was so beautiful that half of our guests were in tears. Cantor Marc really takes the time to customize and personalize the whole experience. The very best!! Can't recommend enough!
My husband and I only decided four days before that we would get married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse before my sister left to Italy, and only decided the day before that we wanted to have a small religious ceremony outside. Stressful is an understatement but Cantor Marc helped ease that stress even with such short notice. He went above and beyond to make our ceremony personal and sentimental. We only spoke over the phone the day before but on the wedding day he came prepared knowing all of our names and all the small details we spoke about which really meant so much to us. Marc made our ceremony incredibly memorable and unique by incorporating tradition along with his humor and charm! The absolute best!
Cantor Marc was everything we couldn't have asked for and more! From the moment we first spoke, to the day of the wedding, he was always on top of things and making sure we had everything we needed.
We worked with him during COVID and he made sure to always check-in and make sure everything was going according to plan.
We set time up prior to the wedding to discuss how we wanted our ceremony to go and Cantor Marc was so easy to work with. He was very accommodating and gave such great suggestions. We had one special request for our ceremony and that was to make sure it didn’t run past 30 minutes in length. As promised, Cantor Marc did not disappoint. Instead, he made our ceremony more memorable than ever. He made sure to incorporate the Jewish traditions, the funny jokes and the sentimental moments. It could’ve have been more perfect. We were honored to have him officiate our special day. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about him and still ask us who this monumental Cantor is. -

Cantor Marc was such a pleasure and joy to have as our officiant. From all the phone calls filled with laughter to the detailed agenda we shared and went over during our dinner together -- we knew Marc was going to be great. The most important thing people should know about working with Marc is that is has a contagious energy about him that gets everyone around him smiling. Days after our celebration people were raving about Marc and what a great job he did officiating. Additionally, Marc also helped arrange a courier service for the Ketubah, as well as videoed the ceremony with his Go Pro camera. You can't go wrong going with Marc! -

I actually was talking to another officiant, when I looked here on wedding wire. Marc's profile jumped out at me... and I'm glad it did. From our first conversation he was amazing. He made the process so personable and easy. He was kind, courteous, genuine, sincere, funny, understanding and PERFECT.
The work he did leading up to the ceremony, learning about my wife and I was amazing. He helped us with many decisions and told us the week before that if there was ANYTHING we needed, he was there for us.... AND HE WAS!
The ceremony could not have been more perfect. We felt like Marc was part of our family! The words he chose were spectacular, his voice beautiful and his sincerity brought tears to my eyes. Oy. This is the word when you think of when you have a wedding in 2020. Not with Cantor Marc! JOY is the word you think of if you have ever had the pleasure of working with him.
My husband and I wanted a Jewish ceremony that incorporated the important traditions but also allowed space for our love and personalities to shine through. "Have It Your Way" is the theme of Marc's approach and it could not have worked out better. Marc is incredibly knowledgeable and really took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple which really came through in our ceremony. It felt like he had known us for years, even though we had only met a month prior.
Keeping guests entertained during a wedding ceremony is tough, and it's even tougher when 90% of those guests are virtual. Marc kept everyone laughing and engaged the whole time, making our ceremony that much more fun and memorable. Cantor Marc reflected the personality of the bride (Taiwanese) and Groom (Jewish) in an audience interactive ceremony bringing smiles, laughter, and great joy to all. We received so many compliments from our guests afterward. "That was the best" , "most fun wedding ceremony" are the most common remarks we heard from our family. The joyful wedding ceremony started everyone on a good step leading us into an evening filled with great fun! Cantor Marc performs with Andy Howe, a professionally talented accompanist on the keyboard, bringing smiles to all who appreciate amazing musicians. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding. We are so excited to write this review for Cantor Marc! He just officiated our destination ceremony and wedding in Cabo San Lucas, and it was absolutely perfect. After a few meetings with him (all filled with laughter and deep conversation), he completely captured our story in a beautiful and fun ceremony which our guests are still talking about. He incorporated elements which made it all feel fresh and deeply personal. And he even had us laughing throughout. Cantor Marc went above and beyond the role of officiant by being extremely helpful during the rehearsal and pre-ceremony... and also a great presence at our reception, capturing pictures and moments we wouldn't have otherwise. We feel so lucky we found someone who was able to accommodate a destination wedding (his first time doing so in Mexico!) and make our special day MORE special. After this experience, I could not recommend someone more for their wedding. -

Best Officiant EVER! Marc is a true professional and helped us have a truly special ceremony that our guests enjoyed to the fullest!
From the moment we met Cantor Marc he charmed my fiancé and I and had us smiling ear to ear. He was extremely accommodating in meeting our needs to incorporate some Jewish elements and traditions into our ceremony and in a way that was inclusive of all faiths. Even though we had known cantor Marc for under one year from our first meeting, by the time he delivered the BEST ceremony ever, our family and friends thought he had known us our entire lives! The ceremony was warm, inclusive, uplifting, involved our guests in just the right way, and had just the right amount of humor to keep it light and fun. Couldn’t recommend Cantor Marc enough for any type of wedding as he’s a man that can get it done right and pays attention to every detail. He has an excellent ability to read into exactly what a couple needs and throughout the ceremony there were tears of joy and laughter. Cantor Marc was an integral part of our wedding we met with him a couple times and exchanged ideas back and forth. We did some modifications on a traditional jewish wedding ceremony and Marc's, humor, thoughtfulness, spirituality and be as beautiful singing brought made it so special for our families. Because we had a mixed crowd he explained traditions and helped us craft our program so that everyone felt included and part of the service. We also had him do a ketubah signing ceremony. He thoughtfully explained the background and sang a blessing that everyone participated in. I really loved that he was invested in us, our love for each other and our families and wanting to help start the writing of our next chapter in our love story. -

During my initial wedding planning stage, I was quite nervous about finding a Jewish wedding officiant who would perform a Jewish marriage ceremony for myself and my husband. I knew I wanted a wedding ceremony with traditional Jewish elements, but I also wanted to find a good balance between having a secular wedding and a Jewish wedding because my husband is not Jewish. I am so glad I found Cantor Marc Bachrach because he truly helped make our wedding ceremony exactly what we wanted! Marc met with myself and my husband to discuss the details of our wedding. He explained each aspect of a traditional Jewish wedding, and received input from myself and my husband to tailor our wedding to our wants and comfort levels. Marc also infused humor and song into the ceremony, and made sure to explain any Jewish ceremonial aspects to the guests, as most of our guests were not Jewish. At the end of the ceremony, several of our guests, both Jewish and non-Jewish, told myself and my husband how lovely and amazing our ceremony was. Cantor Marc Bachrach presided over my daughter's interfaith Jewish wedding. Because of him it was great fun and he was absolutely fabulous. The service was beyond my expectations. I've been to many Jewish weddings and this was by far the best, with his wit, humor and warmth. He played the guitar beautifully and his voice was exquisite. He is an opera singer after all. I would highly recommend him.

Simply the best!
My husband and I are both Jewish but not religious. Judaism is an important part of our culture so we wanted someone who understood that but wasn't push or judgy when it came down to what we envisioned for our ceremony. Rabbi Marc is truly a breath of fresh air and made the entire experience a pleasure. Rabbi Marc was not only our rabbi, but also became a dear friend. We've had Rabbi Marc over our house for dinner, have met his beautiful wife and have planned several outings with him since our wedding. I know that this is a relationship that will continue for the rest of our lives and I am truly so grateful for finding someone like him. As far as the wedding, we got SO many compliments on his service. We had a lot of non-jewish guests who said they really enjoyed it and were so surprised to see how fun and festive Jewish weddings are. Rabbi Marc engaged with our crowd and made sure everyone knew what was happening, wasn't bored and really enjoyed themselves during the ceremony. Rabbi Marc even stayed for our reception and partied with our guests! Over all, I couldn't have asked for a better Rabbi to officiate our wedding. Thank you so much, we are forever grateful! -

Excellent/The Absolute Best
My fiancée and I found Cantor Marc on wedding wire and I called him on the phone and it was clear from our first interaction with him that he truly cares about people. We met with him in person for lunch and after a hectic week of wedding planning he helped us focus on what is truly important (our love for one another) and the importance of the day. He put us at ease and he really knows how to use our differing faith backgrounds as a source of unity. The absolute best.
