    Epic Wedding Party

    When my wife and I were trying to find the perfect venue for our reception of 300+ people, two items became very clear for "must haves" -- responsive wedding coordinators at he venue (my wife's must have) and a booking that went past midnight (my must have)!

    The Intercontinental's rooms are very modern; the river room with 180 degrees of windows provided awesome scenery; the staff there responded and handled every predictable (and unpredictable) situation that came up -- exceptionally discreetly. All of this allowed us to enjoy out special day without hassle -- did I mention we partied until 1 am? They also comped us very nice suites the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding.

    The food was wonderful; that waitstaff was more than accommodating and Jennifer and Lindsey (wedding coordinators) helped plan everything and took care of the finishing details!

    We highly recommend the Intercontinental!

    Highly Recommend!

    We knew the intercontinental Saint Paul riverfront was going to be our reception venue the moment we met Lindsay Wayne L, the senior sales coordinator! From the first time we met to the food tasting to the day of our wedding (9/14/2019), Lindsay was extremely attentive and made the entire process not only easy but enjoyable. She made sure everything was in place the day of the wedding so we could just simply enjoy our day! The venue is breath taking and the ballroom was perfect for our 200+ attendees! Everyone raved about the food and their beautiful views from their rooms. When we got to our room at the end of the night, Lindsay had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne for us! I can’t say enough about this venue, all the staff, and especially Lindsay! I highly highly recommend this venue for your wedding or any other big event!

    Best wedding venue in the Twin Cities

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

    This is truly one of the most beautiful venues in the twin cities! With floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the ballroom that overlook the river, you can’t beat the views. Other than the aesthetic attributes, the services and hospitality were unmatchable. The food was delicious and we had compliments by majority of our guests about how great their meal was. We had a guest that has celiac disease and who is also vegetarian- the staff went above and beyond to make sure our guest was taken care of! Last but not least, Lindsay Wayne, the senior catering sales manager, is AMAZING!!!! She is the most organized person I know and helps make the wedding planning process a breeze! If you are looking for a spectacular venue with not only great views but stellar service- the Intercontinental is your place!

    Don’t think, do it!

    My husband and I don’t know what we would have done without Lindsay! She made our wedding! She was so down to earth and organized and made our day go by smoothly! The food was fantastic and the service is just incredible! The staff just want to make your day spectacular! BOOK NOW and you seriously will not regret it! Amazing choice.

    Beautiful Venue for Your Special Day

    We had our wedding here and we could not have been happier. We worked with Lindsay Wayne and she was a lifesaver. We were very anxious coming into the wedding planning process and she took the time to answer our lists of questions and to recommend different solutions so that we could end up with the wedding of our dreams within our budget. Lindsay even provided us with a timeline for us to work through and to share with our other vendors so that everything would run smoothly and in a timeframe that made the most sense – like I said she was FANTASTIC! Lindsay had all the details covered! She met us at the bus when we were dropped off from the ceremony and walked us to the separate room – she even organized hors d’oeuvres to be ready in the room and took drink orders so that we could spend time with the bridal party without being sidetracked prior to the grand entrance.
    The venue itself was beautiful!! My husband and I were torn on which ballroom we liked best (he liked the upstairs ballroom and I liked the downstairs ballroom). Lucky for me the upstairs had already been reserved and so we ended up with the downstairs ballroom (side note – even with there being another wedding the same day you could not tell as the staff was very attentive and the space is separated in a manner that makes it feel as if your event is the only one taking place). The space was fantastic we had the full lower level to ourselves with restrooms, a spacious area for cocktail hour along with a separate room for the bridal party to spend time in prior to the grand entrance.
    The food was delicious, and we received compliments on it months after the wedding. Lindsay helped us pick out a balanced menu and the best option for us with beverages. The one note I would say about the food is that you should order extra pizzas if you are going the late-night pizza route. Based on the servings we ordered a few extra pizzas but they were completely devoured within 15 minutes at most when they were served (my husband and I did not make it over to the pizza fast enough and missed out – but we were happy that our friends and families enjoyed the food). It could have been just that our guests are big pizza eaters (we later found out that a few of the guys probably ate the serving size of 6 people) but I would recommend adding a few extra to your order. It was super easy that Buttercream works with InterContinental directly so that we just had to show up for tastings, tell them which flavor we preferred along with the design and we were all set.
    For getting ready in the morning it was very convenient that the hotel provided one suite for the guys to get ready in and one suite for the ladies. I arrived very early to the hotel morning of (before valet was open) and did forget my car in the loading/unloading area outside of the hotel (I blame all the excitement of the day on my carelessness). Thankfully when my Mom ran down the car was still there (I have a feeling the hotel staff knew that the car was a part of the wedding party as it was unloaded with the dress, decorations, etc.) One bump we did encounter was dropping off decorations a few days prior to the wedding. We may have gone a little overboard and had many decorations that we dropped off at the hotel the Thursday before the Saturday wedding (which was so nice to have one less thing to do on Friday or Saturday). The bump that we ran into was that the items were stored in a closet that was also used for storing luggage of guests, so it had a fair amount of traffic in and out of the space. We decided after talking with Lindsay and due to our comfort levels that we kept the custom artwork that we were using as our guestbook with us until day of to avoid any accidents with it. The location itself was ideal as it was across the street from a beautiful park area and blocks from Mears Park (which is beautiful).
    Overall, we were so very thankful for all of the support that Lindsay and her team provided us for our special day. We highly recommend the InterContinental to anyone who wants a positive planning process and a beautiful, worry-free wedding day. We could not recommend the InterContinental and Lindsay enough!

    The best day of my life!

    My husband and I are so grateful for all the support we received from the Hotel. From the day we arrived there for tour, Lindsay has been so helpful with providing us the details until the day of the wedding! She supported us and guided us to have one of the best day. We made our decision based on the great customer service we got and of course by the beautiful ballroom.

    Beautiful ballroom & a fantastic event planner

    Lindsay is seriously the best. She's incredibly professional, incredibly friendly, and always had great advice for us while we were working through all of our details and making decisions about vendors and the event rooms at the hotel.

    On the day, the Great River Ballroom looked amazing. The windows really make it feel amazing and spacious in there and help to give a touch of outdoors without being outdoors.

    We couldn't have been happier with our experience working with Lindsay and Jennifer at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront as we planned our wedding and got to experience the best day of our lives.     Total package wedding venue!

    Lindsay and the Intercontinental were a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Lindsay was always organized and had every detail covered when we met. The ballroom space was gorgeous and worked perfectly for our day with 160 guests. We toured about 30 venues before deciding that the Intercontinental was perfect - big space, gorgeous dance floor, in-house coordinator, delicious food, windows overlooking the river, and guest rooms for our guests. I highly recommend meeting with the Intercontinental staff and touring this venue - it is more than a standard hotel ballroom but really is a complete package for a beautiful wedding. We had so many compliments from our guests on the cocktail space, reception, and organization of the whole event. Thank you, Lindsay, for your dedication and top-notch coordinating

    Amazing staff for our perfect day

    Lindsay is the most amazing person to work with. She is the reason that I chose the InterContinental for our wedding venue. The moment we began the tour she instilled total confidence in me that she would ensure our day was perfect. Because of Lindsay, I did not feel the need to hire a wedding planner (which I was considering before). She always kept us on track with "next steps" and what we should be working on. The InterContinental's preferred vendor list is great. They really do know the best people to work with. The staff the day of the wedding was amazing. My now-husband and I were constantly being waited on and asked what we needed, which is so nice when you are so busy talking to people all night long. I can't speak highly enough of Lindsay and the staff. The food, service and ballroom were all amazing!!

    Best Day Ever

    I am SO happy that I chose the Intercontinental for our Wedding Reception. The ballroom is stunning, and the floor to ceiling windows really make this place a unique and gorgeous one! Lindsay is INCREDIBLE to work with. She is so kind, so professional, and you can tell she really loves her job and wants to do a good job when it comes to your special day. She is so quick to responding to texts/emails/and calls. Everyone loved the wedding and the venue, and I will forever be grateful we chose the Intercontinental in Saint Paul!

    WOW! WHAT AN AMAZING DAY!!! We had our reception at the InterContinental and it was fabulous! First off, Lindsay is amazing from day one - so professional and helpful - couldn't have done it without her and her staff ! The organization and support was incredible and made the day go so smoothly. The food is amazing and dance floor is epic. We danced all night long celebrating. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is going to have a bigger wedding - plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. We had 300 people and there was more than enough room. We would not have changed a thing. THANK YOU LINDSAY FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!

    My husband and I got married at the Intercontinental Saint Paul Riverfront on September 8th. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. Our wedding was beautiful and so amazing! We got married in the Great River ballroom. The space is so beautiful that you don't need a lot of decorations. We kept it simple and space spoke for itself. It was truly a dream come true! Wedding planning isn't easy. Thank goodness for Lindsay Wayne! She made the process so much easier. Lindsay was so helpful and answered my many questions. All the stress that I had leading up to the wedding was eased with each meeting that we had with her! The night went smoothly thanks to Lindsay! All of the hotel staff are really friendly! Customer Service is exceptional!! I recommend this venue 100%! You will be taken care of throughout your whole stay. My experience with this hotel was amazing! I couldn't be happier. Thank you for making our wedding so effortless and amazing!

    We had the most beautiful and traditional wedding at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront! It was truly exquisite with the location, scenic views, delicious food, and attentive staff. But mostly we have Lindsay to thank for going above and beyond what is asked of her as our wedding coordinator prior to our event date, but also on the day of the event! She alleviated most of my stress as a bride throughout the planning process and the week of the wedding. I couldn't recommend a better venue or coordinator to help with your special day!

    The support, and planning for the wedding was excellent. Lindsay was very attentive and offered great advice. While the Intercontinental is not the least expensive choice, the service and support makes it worth every penny. From the minute the Bride and Groom got to the hotel after the ceremony till the dancing stopped, everyone was so helpful and accommodating. We had a great time and know you will too.

    InterContinental was the perfect location for our reception. Lindsay Wayne, the event planner, really made the experience perfect. She is extremely organized and on top of everything, making you feel comfortable throughout the process which is an amazing feeling with wedding planning. For us, with a larger wedding, InterContinental was also a great value based on what was included with the rental and with their partnerships. For my family, the food and service were two really important pieces-- dinner was wonderful, both taste and plating, the cake was included and gorgeous and service was 5 star. We had a wonderful time and would highly suggest to many others!

    We absolutely loved having our wedding at the InterContinental! The staff was so supportive throughout our wedding planning process and on the day of the event. Our guests raved about the beautiful view from the Great River Ballroom during the reception. We also had many comments from guests that the food was the best wedding food they had ever had! The personal wedding planning assistant was also a huge plus! I recommend this venue to any bride looking for a beautiful and magical wedding.

    We loved working with Lindsay to plan our wedding June 9th, and leading up to the big day we felt nothing but confidence. Our wedding was perfect, and we feel like she is part of our family now!
    We also loved the event space, the wait staff (especially John), and the food. We had multiple people come up after the wedding saying the venue and service was amazing. Thank you again Intercontinental!

    We loved working with and enjoyed the InterContinental Riverfront Hotel and staff! Lindsay and her team were very professional, organized and on time for every meeting and scheduled event we had leading up to and on the day of our wedding. As the bridal party arrived to the reception (hotel lobby) Lindsay was waiting in the lobby for us and was prepared for us to enjoy the evening, stress free. We loved all of the hotel amenities, location, views from the suites and getting ready rooms and the wonderful staff! We would recommend this venue to anyone getting married or hosting a large event.

    I had a fantastic experience working with Lindsay and the whole Intercontinental team planning a May wedding for a client. As a wedding planner, I work with a lot of different venues and vendors and the customer service that Lindsay gives is AMAZING. I could not have pulled together this wedding without her! The day of the wedding was so smooth, the food was delicious and everyone was so accommodating.

    We couldn't be happier with our reception venue choice! The staff really out did themselves! Our guests mentioned to us multiple times how great the service was. Our wedding coordinator Lindsay Wayne was more than we could have asked for! She really went above and beyond to make our day the greatest. She was so helpful throughout the whole planning process and made it as stress free as possible. Also, she made the wedding day run smoothly. I felt completely confident that she would take care of anything that went on that day. Each time we visited we felt so welcomed by all the staff and were well taken care of. We really appreciate all the work the Lindsay and her staff did to make the planning process and wedding day so enjoyable. We couldn't thank you enough!! I would recommend this venue to anyone.

    This venue was the most beautiful venue you could ever use for a wedding. My husband and I were in love with the ballroom, the hotel suite, the incredible riverfront view and the food.
    Not only were the staff extremely accommodating and polite - they were ready to help and do anything I needed for set up and decoration. Our wedding planner Lindsay Wayne was knowledagable and accommodating. She was so helpful and kind to my My husband and our families. Anything we needed or wanted to make our day great, Lindsay found a way to do it. We are just blown away with the beauty and class of this hotel and their staff. Our day couldnt have been any more perfect. I recommend staying a night in the hotel to experience the beauty and eating at their restaurant. If you decide to go with this hotel for your wedding reception or ceremony- you won’t regret it!

    From start to finish, we loved everything about the InterContinental! Lindsay Wayne was with us every step of the way, from the initial meeting to the big day. The staff was great. Every single one of them went above and beyond the weekend of our wedding. It was such a blessing to have all the festivities in one location: the ceremony, reception, and hotel. Our guests loved the convenience, and we got tons of compliments on the venue. Our hotel suites were incredible too! Book this venue!!!

    My fiance and I looked at just about every venue in St. Paul and couldn't be happier with our decision! The property is beautiful and just what we envisioned. The ballroom is incredible with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river and a beautiful marble dance floor! Sales Manager Lindsay Wayne has been a pleasure to work with throughout! We really feel like she's on our team and has been extremely helpful with the million questions we've had! We can't wait for our special day to arrive!

    Best Venue Ever - Quality Service Above All!!! We were so fortunate to have worked with Lindsay Wayne throughout the entire wedding planning process at the Intercontinental. She has gone above and beyond her role and responsibilities and we are extremely thankful for her contributions and the effort she put forth in making our wedding this past weekend a day of success and a dream come true!! Not to mention how beautiful and magnificent the great river ballroom is!! We continue to receive raving comments on how spacious, elegant, and captivating the ballroom was and how much fun everyone had! The room definitely sells itself, you can have minimal wedding decors and the room is still stunning!! We absolutely cannot imagine going with a different vendor. All the details and the steps were managed so well by Lindsay and the team. As a project manager by trade, she has exceeded my expectations! My Friends and Family have also complimented how friendly the staff were. My family and I are a big foodie family and the #1 priority we had for the wedding was food choice and quality. The food served during the event was good, but we noticed that the food at the food tasting was better. There was a slight deviation, but nonetheless, the rest of the services provided were OUTSTANDING and that made for up it! Lindsay was amazing. The venue was beautiful. The food was good. This is the best combination you can only hope for!!! And we achieved it!!!!

    As a wedding planner in the Twin Cities, I see and work with many venues and the Intercontinental is one of the best! Working along side the catering manager, Lindsay, was an absolute delight. And her staff all throughout the wedding were efficient, positive, and made the entire vendor team feel at ease. This GORGEOUS venue + their great team = an amazing event. Highly recommended! :)

    If you are looking to bring your visions to life - then this is the venue FOR YOU!

    The InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront Hotel is hands down AMAZING! From the moment of contacting Lindsay Wayne to now 3 days prior to the event - Lindsay and the whole entire staff at the InterContinental make you feel like you are the only couple planning a wedding. Every email, phone call, meeting, is dedicated to you/your fiancé and what you truly see on your wedding day.
    Lindsay has provided us with some background knowledge of her past weddings and really has a wealth of knowledge to share in all aspects. The InterContinental has 'preferred vendors' in which we have worked with some; since they are preferred vendors, they know the hotel and know exactly what they are doing. You are also welcome to go beyond their preferred vendors and bring in your own flare to show your true touches. In my 7 months of planning, I have heard many other brides say ' I wish I hired a wedding planner' or a 'day of planner' . . . BONUS! Lindsay is JUST THAT! Not only is she there for you to help you plan your wedding and bring it to life - but she is also truly there for YOU; in every aspect possible she is there for you! Lindsay is hands down the nicest, bubbly, humbled person, and that is exactly who you would want to be there for you in your wedding planning process and on your big day. I cannot wait to share this AMAZING venue with family and friends in just 3 days!!!

    Applause to InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront so accommodating! As we were searching for a venue that can hold 350+ guest Inter was in the running. Windows was one of our must haves (floor to ceiling windows)- how can you pass that up. The ballroom had a beautiful view of the city and river. Ashley the wedding coordinator there was amazing to work with and so helpful from the first time there to our big day! Our guest still are complementing how great the food was - even HOT for all 350 people. Our Guest really enjoyed their stay. Thanks for helping make our day a FAIRY TALE!

    Everyone at InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront, especially Ashley Nelson, made my husband and my wedding on June 4th a night to remember! Everything was perfect from the set up which Ashley so gracious took under her wing to the food prepared by the Chefs.

    Even after two months of marriage, my guests are still raving about how wonderful and awesome the wedding was!

    Five stars all the way!! I would recommend this venue for anyone and everyone looking for a classy affair of 200 or more.

    We got married at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront hotel. The ceremony was in the Minnesota Ballroom we and had the reception on the top floor in a room called Windows on the River. We are so thrilled with how everything went! Kaitlyn was our contact throughout the planning process and she was so knowledgeable and responsive. She gave us such peace of mind during the actual event. We got a complimentary room because of our event and it was amazing! It was so luxurious and a welcome respite after a busy day. The view from the top floor was a spectacular backdrop so we didn't have to do anything for decor besides centerpieces. The food was absolutely delicious and we got a lot of comments from the guests as well. The catering staff was friendly, polite and very attentive. We also really appreciated how there weren't hidden fees and it was a one-stop shop for food, venue and accommodations. Members of the family made a weekend trip out of it because the hotel is located downtown near so many attractions. Very highly recommended!

    I wouldn't have wanted our wedding reception/dance at any other place! Kaitlin was incredible to work with - professional, timely in responding to my many questions, caring and genuinely excited to help make OUR day everything we hoped for. The ballroom - what can I say, I felt like a princess as my husband and I had our first dance in the beautiful rotunda. The food was excellent - our guests are still raving about it! Crowne Plaza St. Paul Riverfront is a perfect location for an elegant wedding!

    Choosing the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront as our reception venue was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. We had our reception in the Great River Ballroom where I fell in love with the dance floor- a beautiful marble compass medallion. We worked with Lindsay Wayne, who was professional, accommodating, and kind. She truly made our experience easy and rewarding. I am not the most organized person, so I really appreciated Lindsay keeping us on-task and up to date on everything we needed to provide. Our meetings were always pleasant and we had the opportunity to eat at the Citizen restaurant on a few occasions- always serving delicious food! Out of all of the drama and frustration that can accompany weddings and planning, working with the InterContinental was perfect and completely drama-free. Lindsay even kept track of our vendors and spoke with them before the wedding to get everyone on the same page. The hotel is beautiful and the views are perfect. Many of our guests said our wedding was one of the best they attended, and we are so happy with the way that everything turned out. I highly recommend anyone who is considering the InterContinental to jump right in because you will not regret it!

    My fiance and I felt special from the moment we saw and stepped into the Intercontinental. We were greeted by a smiling doorman and valet worker. They made sure that we knew where we were going. Once inside there was water, chocolate, and wine waiting for us. The hotel was very grandeur and elegant. We were pleased with the space and natural beauty of the hall and rooms. There was no bad view of the place. Having it over look the river made the views that much better. Lindsay Wayne, the event planner was more than helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we felt taken care of. Lindsay would answer any questions we had on a timely manner. Even if the questions came at night or on the weekend Lindsay would respond. We had quite a few meetings with Lindsay and each time she reassured us that she had everything under control. She personally worked with our other vendors to get them on the same schedule. Lindsay made many accommodations for our friends, family and ourselves. We highly recommend the Intercontinental for any wedding.

    We worked with two different event coordinators (due to internal staffing issues). Susan (2nd coordinator) was terrific. Our wedding was held during the TC Marathon - so the hotel was completely booked that weekend. Susan and her staff worked with us the entire way through reserving hotel rooms for family members, to getting the timeline nailed down for the reception. During the reception Susan was able to handle all of our concerns (we forgot to check-in), etc. We LOVED the view from our 22nd floor reception room! Highly recommend having a wedding reception here! We had about 140 guests and everything fit and worked perfect!

    Wonderful!

    The venue was exactly what we were looking for; we fell in love right away! What I really loved about the venue was the high ceilings and the floor-to-ceiling windows. Our wedding had perfect lighting because of those windows! We were able to take our photos inside the ballroom and just across of the hotel is a beautiful fountain and small park, perfect for pictures. Our coordinator, Lindsay, is the best! She's super sweet, responsive, and informative. She always responded to our questions in detail and was very patient with us. There were no surprises and we had a very positive experience with this venue. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and all of our guests had a great time! We would recommend this place to everyone!

    February 2019 Wedding

    We were married at the Intercontinental Saint Paul Riverfront Hotel in February of 2019. From the initial tour to the actual wedding day we worked with Lindsay and she was awesome to work with! She helped us through the whole process, answered all of the random questions we had, and was genuinely excited for us. Lindsay even went above and beyond on the day of to help get something printed and delivered it to the getting ready suite. We really appreciated that the venue made it easy to have gluten-free and other allergen friendly options available. They were even able to bring in a preferred cider! The day of the wedding was amazing! The venue was beautiful, the food was great, and the staff were phenomenal! The wedding definitely wasn’t cheap, but we could not have imagined it any differently! If you are looking for a venue that truly wants to help make your day everything you want it to be then we definitely recommend this venue!

    Wow I can’t say enough great things about Lindsay Wayne. She played such a key role in making our wedding day the best. From the first time we met her in March of 2017, to our meetings over the past year and half, she always showed up prepared and ready to answer our many questions. Not once did she make my husband I feel silly for asking maybe the same question twice or three times. She was so responsive and made us feel so welcome. All of our outside vendors have said nothing but great things about her professionalism, and it shows from the minute you meet her! Not only is she professional, but very relatable, and that’s a quality not many others have. It was such a pleasure working with her! Hands down would recommend the Intercontinental and working with Lindsay for anyone planning an event!

    Wendt-Church Wedding

    Wow!! This venue was everything that we wanted and more. We had the Great River Ballroom the views were spectacular, we wanted an elegant city romance feel and that was very easy to achieve with minimal decorations because of the beauty of this room and the lobby where our cocktail hour was. The suites we had to get ready in were beyond anything I could have imagined, while we did upgrade one because of the number of ladies getting ready together it was worth the extra room, the views and decor for pictures were perfect. All of the staff were amazing and made you feel as though you were the only person they were concerned about, and they ensured everything was just how we wanted it. All the guests were raving over the food and desserts, everything came out looking 5 start and tasted as much as well. They were very willing to accommodate diet needs and did so without a ripple in dinner service. The surrounding outdoor areas are perfect for pictures as well as locations inside the lobby. They truly made our day special!

    Wedding Reception and Rehearsal Dinner

    Lindsay and her staff were amazing!!! They guided us through the entire planning process and were very organized. They had everything covered, and it made us feel at ease. Our rehearsal dinner was held at the Intercontinental as well and the food and service were fantastic. Our wedding reception was everything we had dreamed of!! The food and ballroom delicious and elegant respectively. The bartender and servers were the best-professional and friendly! I would highly recommend the Intercontinental for your wedding!!! Also, many of our guests stayed at the hotel and had an excellent experience with clean and comfy rooms.

    Loved having our wedding at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront hotel! Our ceremony and reception were held in the Great River Ballroom and it was spectacular. Tons of room for our 200 guests and the dance floor was filled all night! Lindsay was a pleasure to work with throughout our short 9 months of planning, and always answered our questions in detail! Some guests (and myself) had a hard time checking in. The brides suite wasn't ready at check-in and I had to check 3 times to see what the status of the room was. Also had an issue with the discounted parking for guests and vendors. Other than those two hiccups, everything was awesome, beautiful, and fun! Definitely recommend.

    We had a fantastic experience working with Lindsay Wayne for our wedding reception at the InterContinental. She was very helpful, professional, and willing to work with us to create the reception we wanted. She was on top of her game through minor hiccups and changes the day of the wedding.     We had our wedding at the Crowne Plaza on 02.06.2015, and it was AMAZING!!! Kaitlin Keller helped with everything along the way, and she was there for the whole wedding as well. We had a wedding of almost 300 in the ballroom on the 2nd floor. We had the room divided in half for our ceremony, and then after it was done, they turned the room over, while we enjoyed cocktail hour.

    When we walked into the ballroom, I almost started to cry. It was BEAUTIFUL. I put the wedding together in 4 months, but it all came together wonderfully. I had help from great friends helping, but Kaitlin helped them when they needed it. The staff was helpful, and the food was great, and out fast! I was worried with that many people, but it was perfect! The dancefloor is amazing with all the windows around it, we had a band (I recommend) and it was the perfect set up!

    *Only issues- no place/room for bride/ groom to get ready (We just got suites, which were amazing)
    *Hotel was still undergoing construction (but nobody noticed)

    Our reception was at Windows on the River (22nd floor of the hotel). About half of our guests were from out of town so this was a great venue. Parking can be an issue, however. The Irish festival was going on the same day as our wedding and therefore a lot of our guests could not park in the ramp (the ramp was already full by the time our guests arrived after the ceremony). Some of our guests also commented that their sleep number beds did not work, which was a little frustrating. Otherwise, the food was good (we opted for their cupcakes in place of a cake and were very pleased), the dance floor was nice, and we were happy with the tables/chairs (the chairs were nice enough not to need covers if you want to save the money).

    We knew our date was going to be a popular one, so we booked it last year. The problem is, no one told us that the hotel would be under renovation during the time of our wedding. About 2 months before our wedding, the person that I had been working with shifted some of her work load to another catering manager, including us. It was a bit frustrating because I felt that I had a rapport with the person that I had already been working with. Overall, the reception area looked amazing and our guests were very impressed.

    We looked at many wedding venues; few of them treated us like a second-class because we are a minority. They probably think that we cannot afford their venues, but when we met Lindsay she makes my daughter felt like a princess; she was sold within the first five minutes. We have minor accidentals and miscommunications along the way as it should be, but Lindsay Wayne handled it professionally and quickly. She treated us with respect; especially my daughter. She offered us free lunches and free drinks every time we met. She even has the bartender made my daughter her favorite drinks. She treated my daughter like a princess and that is all you need to know because my daughter is the most important person.

    If you are looking an ordinary wedding venue; keep looking or go elsewhere, however, if you are looking someone to treat your daughter like a princess gives Lindsay Wayne a call; her number is (651) 605-6954

    We had our wedding reception in the Great River Ballroom. While others that have used this room for wedding have chosen to have celling drapes, we found that we did not need it because of the room is so beautiful. The staff was very flexible and professional throughout the entire process. The hotel event coordinator, Enice Thompson was actually on site for the reception to ensure that everything went well. The wait staff was excellent. Finally, the food was fabulous!

    The Crowne Plaza is a beautiful space with a lot of opportunity. Molly is a phenomenal event planner and knows a TON about reception planning. Some things to know going into it: the room minimums are very high and do not include taxes. We fell short just a few hundred dollars and we would have purchased some more bottles of wine or appetizers had we known but we were not informed of our shortage until after the event. Also, you are required to use their lighting vendor and they charged a very high price. In the end, though, it was BEAUTIFUL and the food was good. Plus, they are willing to bargain on hotel room prices. I would use them again for another event, but I would want to be better informed of the not-hidden-but-hard-to-find extra costs.

    The Intercontinental is a good location if you have a large guest list as they can easily accommodate over 250 guests. The renovations add to the appeal of the location. Lindsay was very pleasant throughout the planning process and was quick to respond to e-mails. She is very organized. Using her list of preferred vendors as a starting point and her planning spreadsheets we did not need to hire an additional wedding coordinator. It was very nice knowing that she was doing last minute communications with our vendors checking the final details. The food was good and the chef was flexible allowing us to make changes. They allow for a variety of meal choices and were efficient making sure meals were served quickly. Allergies and dietary restrictions were easily accommodated. There were a few areas which could be improved. When reserving a room block they only release a few rooms at a time. Thus, when guests would book over the weekend often times a specific type of room would be full. Multiple times we had to contact the Intercontinental to add rooms to our block and sometimes this could not be completed until Monday morning. We ended up being charged at the top end of our estimates. This may be because we suspect were charged per drink for every bottle of liquor opened and not the number of drinks consumed. When our uncle left the bar tender gave him a half bottle of liquor and told him that we had already been charged for it. We were also planning to use a voucher system for breakfast the morning after and were told we would only be charged per voucher used. However, the vouchers were never collected so we ended up paying for every guest that stayed at the hotel even though some of our guests had early flights and never came to breakfast. I guess these could be canceled out by the fact that we had room upgrades for our parents and a champagne toast included. Overall, this was a good location to accommodate our large group and the evening went as planned.

    The Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel was a beautiful setting for my reception. We were in the Great River Ballroom which was the perfect size for our 300 guests. Everyone fit comfortably and the view is FABULOUS! The food was tremendous. I was a little leery of offering steak as an option thinking "how could they prepare 200 steak meals and not overcook them." I heard from numerous people how tasty the food was and how the steak was cooked perfectly! The coordinator I worked with was extremely helpful and easy to get in touch with. Despite being a bit pricey, as is expected with weddings these days, I couldn't be more pleased with the service provided.
