We had our wedding at the Inn on the Riverwalk 2 Sept 2017. Best decision we made! The staff was wonderful and so accommodating to everything we requested. Margaret and Kathy made us feel so comfortable and at ease on our special day by taking care of our every need; we never had to ask look far without them being over our shoulder and taking care of us... Love those two super ladies! The timeline flowed perfectly and our guests were very happy with the service and felt welcomed in this quaint romantic B&B atmosphere. The owner, Dr. Cavazos was very hospitable and cordial to us and our guests. Definitely recommend having your wedding here or even staying a night or two just to get away (which we plan to do sometime in the near future; or maybe start a tradition with our anniversary?). Loved it! Thank you for making our big day so special!!

I picked this location to celebrate my boyfriend's 50th birthday. Everything was perfect! Everyone I worked with there was wonderful and quick to respond to all my emails and questions. It was the perfect place for the occasion to have a laid back party! The atmosphere is great, food was exceptional, staff is phenomenal, DJ was awesome. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you for helping me to pull off an important birthday for my guy!

The staff and guest rooms at the inn on the Riverwalk in San Antonio is most delightful! After days seeking a venue willing to host my small event, I finally found this gem. The cheerfully exceeded every request I made for a high tea for my small group commemorating the 200th anniversary of the death of author Jane Austen. We will most definitely hold events there again. We're all spreading the word about this spectacular venue and B&B in San Antonio.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They made everything so easy and so perfect. The one suggestion I would make is to get the contact info for the officiant before the wedding. We made the mistake of thinking he would talk to us before the ceremony and he kept saying my name wrong, but at least it makes for a good story! Kathleen is beyond amazing. I was super lazy about the details but she made everything beautiful for me. The owner and staff are friendly and wonderful. Rent the penthouse...the view was amazing!

This was the perfect spot for our ceremony. It has the most beautiful walkway and they provided a nice floral set up. We wanted a nice out door ceremony and this was the perfect place to have it. It's located in a dead end street so there isn't much noise or people walking down the river walk.

This was the best place ever for small wedding parties. Marriage on the Riverwalk, and the reception was just perfect. Best find my husband found, and especially for the price.

My partner and I planned a getaway wedding at the Inn on The Riverwalk in San Antonio . The entire event was planned over the phone from Fort Worth, so I was a little concerned with setting it all up site unseen. The staff and the Inn were just fantastic to work with, they took care of all the details for us. When we arrived we were so pleased with the character of the Inn. The main building we were told, was over 100 years old. It was well kept, clean and quiet. It sits right on the river with a fantastic view of the river and the city skyline. Our wedding was held the next morning outside on the steps to the Riverwalk. The entire staff was there to take care of every thing that need to be done. As a gay couple we were worried about being accepted. the staff treated us with all the same respect any couple would have been given. We were told that we were the first Same sex wedding since the SCOTUS ruling in June and they were very excited to be a part of it. I would especially like to thank Kathleen who I worked with to plan the event and Margaret who also helped with planning and doubled as our wedding photographer, both were there as well as other staff members to make sure everything went off perfectly.

The Inn on the Riverwalk could not have been a better choice for our wedding and cocktail reception. I was totally impressed by the entire experience and my guests are still complimenting on it. The overall communication is polite and responsive. You fell taken care of and heard. Once you are there the experience with the staff will blow you away. The ladies that run the desk, cater to the event and cook breakfast are amazing. They are so sweet and make sure you feel comfortable.
The rooms were very clean and supplied. The breakfasts were delicious and the reception room clean and comfortable.
Rehearsal was actually very light and a lot of fun. It was run very efficiently.
On the day of the wedding the reception room was beautifully decorated and the ceremony site was perfect. The ladies had every guest attended to and were always available to us. The entire experience was a wonderful one. I cannot express how impressed everyone was. I will stay with them again possibly for our anniversary and will recommend this place to anyone who will listen.

Tina and Joe were amazing throughout the entire wedding process. I live in Europe and wasn't able to be there personally so our main communication was via phone and email but she knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding and it turned out perfect. Both cultures (American and German) were mixed into the wedding and both sides of our families had an amazing time. The location was just beautiful and the wedding was perfect and I am so happy I found them!

Thanks to everyone at the Inn, especially Tina and Joe, our wedding was perfect! Everyone who went said it was the best they had ever been to! Tina made it so easy to feel comfortable while planning, Joe created beautiful floral designs, and the staff put together our setup and it looked better than Pinterest! They all make sure you are the most important from the first call until you leave! My wife and I were truly queens for a night! Thanks again guys! If you pass this place up you will be missing out!

Tina at the Inn did a wonderful job. The venue is beautiful. It was perfect for our small wedding. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. All I had to do was send her a picture and her florist recreated exactly what I wanted. Joe arranged the flowers on my cake exactly the way I wanted. All I said was make them cascade. It was perfect! The table runners were so pretty with all the silver candelabras. Very shabby chic!

Every time I asked a question, Tina said "It's taken care of." We never had to lift a finger and she kept us in line and the events rolling. My new husband and I never had an empty plate or an empty glass. All of my quests, especially the ones from San Antonio, were very impressed and never knew the Inn was there. My new father-in-law is ill and it's hard for him to get around. Tina was right by our side assisting the photographer get the perfect pictures.

If you want a hassle free wedding at a reasonable price, go to the Inn on the Riverwalk. You won't regret it!

My husband and I are in the military, and when I got in touch with Tina she was more than a great help. She was flexible and since we are in a different state, she helped make sure we had everything we needed.

Tina and all her team are awesome!!! They made our day so special!!! Tina took care of everything. I did not worry about anything that day!! She helped us even with our pictures!!! I cannot speak more highly of this venue! Tina and her staff were so sweet, and so very helpful! We didn't have to worry about setting up anything on the day of the wedding. I shared my vision with Tina on how I wanted the wedding to look, and she took care of the rest! She is quite the visionary. She listens to all that you have prepared, and fills in the gaps with her wonderful selection of wedding supplies. I loved the fact that this venue was a one-stop location. We had rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all in one spot! I couldn't have for a more spectacular day. Tina and Joe made all of my wedding dreams come true!

We got married at the Inn on the Riverwalk on May 24, 2014. Tina was absolutely Amazing & always promptly there for us when we had questions. From the very beginning, I wanted a Vegas feel in the heart of my home state. I wanted a one-stop, done kind of wedding planning. The moment me and my mom walked in and met Tina Gonzales, I knew this is where I would be saying I do. With my husband over seas and me myself being military, I knew there would not be much time for a million little details. Tina was heaven sent, everything I asked for or was interested in she made happen. Our wedding was a magical and beautiful event! Everything was so perfect and she took care of every last detail. Even down to the day she made sure every one had a fabulous time, and even made time for us to sneak away and eat. She is extraordinary and the Inn is amazing! Everyone there is so friendly and the definition of southern hospitality! I give it a 5+!

Tina and her staff were fantastic! from beginning to end Tina was there for me. I love the fact that I could drop everything off that I did and her staff made my ceremony and reception area look beautiful. The food was great! everyone was very knowledgeable and up to date on the latest trends. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a intimate ceremony and reception. once again thank you to Tina and her staff for everything you did for us and our guest!

All of the staff at Inn on the Riverwalk were very helpful on making my day very special! Tina, the wedding coordinator, was always there to answer my questions. She kept telling me to relax and if I needed to take out any frustration then she was a phone call away. During the Rehearsal, Tina guided my wedding party through the motions for the big day. This really helped calm my nerves. Everything that went into my wedding exceeded my expectations. The flowers were so amazing! I had red roses with one white rose in the middle. I don't recall mentioning that I was wearing pearls but there were pearls in the middle of each flower! Her attention to detail is amazing and if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing! I had a smaller wedding with about 27 attendees and I still get compliments on how beautiful my wedding was! I recommend Inn on the Riverwalk to anyone that wants to have an amazing wedding!

Our wedding was a dream come true. It was more beautiful than I ever expected. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. The reception room was beautifully decorated. The cake was absolutely delicious. Tina made me feel at ease. I could not have ever dreamed it would turn out as special as it did!

Inn on the Riverwalk is the perfect place to have a meaningful and intimate wedding! My husband and I treated our wedding as a little getaway retreat with family since everyone was flying in from out of town. The Inn was the perfect Bed & Breakfast and they were able to accommodate everyone! With their ideal location right on the Riverwalk and a short walk away from all of the San Antonio attractions, I didn't have to entertain my guests while dealing with last min. wedding details. Everyone would meet for a lovely breakfast downstairs in the morning then go their separate ways exploring downtown San Antonio - it was a nice getaway for everyone! The employees at the Inn were like family by the end of the week including Buddy the friendly little dog that greets everyone at the reception desk. This really made our wedding feel even more personal and special because we weren't treated as just a customer - we were taken care of as if we were a close friend or family member. The grounds around the Inn and along the Riverwalk is the most ideal backdrop for wedding photos! I was pleasantly surprised at the transformation from B&B by day to romantic wedding reception venue by night! I couldn't be more pleased with the way our wedding day unfolded - it truly was a happy day and a wonderful experience for my husband, myself and our guests.

Tina at the Inn on the Riverwalk is a gem! She is an amazing coordinator handling everything in stride. She even upgraded the linens for our special day to match our cake when she saw the details... amazing! She's thoughtful and friendly and very easy to work with. She helped us get a DJ that was familiar with the locale, and even though it poured rain the entire day, the DJ was able to work with our outdoor setting and get the job done. Tina lets you decide how much you need her to do... I wanted to do a lot on my own, but as things moved along I was able to turn to Tina for her expertise and really utilize her skills and experience. We could not have done it without her! Even on the day of the wedding (which poured horribly for all but 20 minutes when we squeezed in the ceremony) she made sure we got to eat and that everything ran smoothly.

Erin is their special secret. I mentioned searching for flowers to her and she said... well that's my favorite part of a wedding. I showed her photos of the flowers we wanted and she was able to create them!!! She did a thoroughly amazing job for which her value is unmeasurable. We didn't have to worry about delivery times or anything, she did it all onsite after picking out the flowers herself at the local flower wholesaler... that's top notch service in my book!

This venue is quaint, warm, has absolutely gorgeous grounds surrounding and the honeymoon suite will make you feel like a prince/princess taking up the entire 3rd floor and having 2 PRIVATE BALCONIES!! The jacuzzi tub (HUGE) was also amazing... truly a fabulous venue for any wedding!!

Very accommodating and absolutely wonderful at making sure all the tiny details are handled for you!!!

Tina and Erin were amazing in putting our wedding together. My new husband Edwin and I could not have asked for a better wedding coordinater. Our wedding was beautiful and thank goodness it did not rain or was not cold but Tina had everything together and alternatives for the change in weather..So needless to say I did not have to worry.. Oh and I can not give enough compliments......I had the most beautiful bouquet made by Erin. They helped with all the wedding details that I thought at first was going to be overwhelming but Tina took care of us. From the colors to the cake, to the amazing flowers. I honestly can not say enough great things about these women. Our carriage ride as we left made me feel like Cinderella. My guest complimented on how great the food was. The chef was awesome and very nice man. They deserved all the credit for putting my wedding together...Everything was done there with Tina and her staff...I did not have to go to any vendors....We paid Tina to do it all.....And she DID!!!! Tina took care of everything...What more could you ask for.... We were on a small budget but everything from the ceremony site to the decorations to the flowers were just so beautiful!!!! Johanna was great in performing the ceremony. I had such a great time and so did my guest.

Tina and the staff are truly amazing! With my fiancé living out of town and me with a crazy school/work schedule, they truly made it easy for me to have the wedding exactly as I imagined it would always be. The place was ideal. the decorations were perfect. the cake was gorgeous. the roses were just the deep color I so desperately wanted. the room was beautiful and romantic. and oh my gosh, the food was exquisite. my husband and I STILL talk about that meal. everything was just fantastic... my husband and I had so much fun, that when it was all over, we talked about wanting to do all over again. how many brides say that? Most of my girlfriends say "Never again," but only because they didn't have Tina or the Inn on the Riverwalk.

The wedding planners and staff at Downtown San Antonio Weddings were truly amazing! They helped with the abundant of wedding details that can quickly become so overwhelming. From colors to layout to cake choice, to amazing flowers, I can't say enough good things about them. Now, after my wedding is over, I can totally see why one would hire a wedding planner to help. They deserved ten times what I paid them... I honestly have no idea how I would have managed without their help. The room was transformed from plain and dull to fantastic! Even my dad, who isn't an emotional man, was moved to tears when he saw how pretty the room looked. Even with my tiny budget, the decorations were amazing and wow! the flowers! OMG! I relished on my bouquet and feel so blessed to have had such a great team on my side to make my day fantastic! It was one of the best days of my life!

I had such a great experience here. The venue was beautiful and the staff were so friendly. They did everything they could to ensure my wedding day was as stress free as possible! I love their flexibility that they could do all the resources for me or I could bring in as many as I wanted!

Tina and the staff were very helpful. When I was very undecided, she really made things easier. My family and friends were very pleased of the way things were set up, and the way the wedding turned out. The price is very reasonable. I definitely recommend The Inn on the River to anyone who wants a simple wedding or an extravagant wedding. And the view is beautiful.

We planned 5 months in advance with Tina Gonzales for our wedding. We had a wedding party of Approximately 35. Everything seemed very easy to put together; they had a lot of different affordable options.
They offer a food menu that had a variety of choices and we came back a couple of months later and did a food tasting and everything tasted excellent.
We Were able to book DJ through Referral(J & J mobile Sound systems) and Photographer (Straughan photography).
We brought a picture of a cake we found on the internet. The had a cake made and it was beautiful and yummy. ( we had white cake with vanilla cream)
The flowers were beyond our expectations. Reception and Bridal party Bouquets were beyond words beautiful.
Bridal Hair and makeup was also by referral Les Cheveux Hair studio. Misha was great!
Tina, the wedding planner took care of all our needs during the wedding and ceremony. Reception area was beautiful! She was very organized and made things very easy for us. She helped make our wedding one of the most memorable and happiest days our life together.
Johanna, owner/caretaker of the inn Performed our ceremony on the Riverwalk and she did great! Her mother got to watch, which was great.(actually, a lot of people were watching from the balconies and on the grass across the river. It made our small wedding feel big:)
We would recommend to anyone that wants a small informal or moderate formal destination wedding that this would be the place.
Our wedding party consisted of people from CO,OR,FL, MI, AR, & TX. They raved about the area. We did walk from the Inn to the main area of the Riverwalk several times (take good shoes). Keith and Margie Wilson

We loved having our wedding at the Inn on the Riverwalk!The scenery in and around the Inn is gorgeous and private. The flow of the house made it easy for the guests to go from patio to dining room to deck without feeling separated from the action. Their wedding planner, Tina, took care of everything for us and went above and beyond our expectations with the flowers/bouquets and decorating and organizing! Everyone is so relaxed and friendly there and it truely felt like they were really excited to plan and make our day special-like they were there for us all the way! Many of our guests stayed at the Inn as well they all loved it! very romantic!!! We wish we could do it all over again we had so much fun!

Inn on the Riverwalk was the perfect location for our simple, intimate wedding. Johanna was so sweet and easy to work with. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted, and the location was great. We still got the benefit of getting married on the riverwalk without any foot traffic. We were so pleased with everything. I would recommend Inn on the Riverwalk to anyone looking for an intimate venue.

My new hubby and I got engaged on June 9, 2009. We decided we did not want to wait to get married, nor did we want a large wedding. Two days after getting engaged, we started looking for venues- hoping for an August 1st wedding date. Fortunately for us, we came across the inn on Google and made a call. Lo and behold, August was booked...EXCEPT FOR August 1st! I knew that our special day was going to be incredible from that first phone call. Teresa is clearly a well experienced event planner; she is flexible, knowledgeable, and made us feel at ease. Johanna gracefully and willingly adapted the traditional ceremony to include our personal vows and other requests. Both our ceremony and our reception were absolutely perfect. Likewise, the inn's rooms, service, and breakfast were all incredible. We will definitely be returning to the inn for future visits to San Antonio.

Perfect Place for a wedding. Romantic and beautiful. Located only a few blocks from the "restaurant district" yet far enough away that you don't get the tourist traffic on the Riverwalk boulevard. Very private. Just lovely. The staff are VERY accommodating and super friendly. Would recommend highly. The Penthouse Suite was perfect for our honeymoon. Other guests stayed in both the main house and the two houses across the street. So nice to have breakfast with family and friends the morning after the wedding. Oh yeah - Wonderful Breakfast prepared by Betty!! We had 85 guests but could have easily accomodated more because of the nice deck and patio area behind the house.

On March 14th, 2009, we got married at the Inn on the Riverwalk. Johanna, her husband, Teresa, and the rest of the staff were "over the top" accomodating. The rooms were wonderful, and the reception area looked absolutely fabulous. The breakasts also were very delicious. We highly recommend anyone going to San Antonio to stay here. We obtained our marriage license on the 21st of October and I realized that it was going to expire. I went to the Inn on the Riverwalk on Sunday November the 9th and booked our venue and we were married on the 15th. Johanna was very accomodating and our wedding was stress free. We were married by Johanna at the Inn on August 16, 2008. The wedding was small, about 18 people, but very personal. The Inn is easy to get to and provides free parking for guests. The wedding was conducted under a large oak tree on the banks of the San Antonio river. Johanna allowed the use of her dining room in the Inn for our cake reception. Me and my wife were very happy with the setting, ceremony and reception. The price was very reasonable. Our guests were also very impressed with wedding.

Reverend Johanna did a wonderful job officiating our wedding and helped us to make it exactly how we wanted it! It took place steps from the Inn right on the San Antonio Riverwalk, which was beautiful! Our stay at the Inn was romantic and the room was lovely. The breakfast was perfect! Johanna and her staff were friendly and professional and we would recommend her and the Inn to anyone.

Our wedding ceremony was beautiful, simple, and stress-free at the Inn on the Riverwalk. Everyone was raving about the setting - we didn't even have decorations because the natural surroundings were enough by themselves. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Several of our family members stayed overnight in rooms and they loved it. I wasn't thrilled with the inclement weather option but fortunately the weather was perfect! I wish I could add pictures here because the setting was just stunning. After the ceremony, we had a reception at Paesano's in the busier section of the Riverwalk and we were equally pleased. Growing up in San Antonio, I always dreamed of getting married on the Riverwalk and it turned out exactly as I dreamed.

I had a December wedding at Inn on the Riverwalk and was so happy at how it turned out. Tina handled all of the details and I didn’t have to worry about anything. I picked an all inclusive venue because I didn’t want to have to decide things like decorations and catering, and everything else that is stressful about planning a wedding. I told Tina general ideas of what I wanted and she rolled with it. She and her staff exceeded all of my expectations. There was a nice variety of food available and the cake was very delicious. The decorations were simple and elegant. The most impressive thing was my bouquet. It was absolutely gorgeous! It was full of roses and orchids, just stunning!

I was a little nervous because our wedding date was growing very close and I hadn't really discussed any details with the wedding planner. I had given her some vague ideas of what I wanted and liked but nothing specific. I didn't know what to expect.
We had our ceremony and reception at the Inn with about 40 quests. The ceremony area was decorated very nicely, and the minister they provided was great. The steps and river in the back ground made beautiful pictures. The wedding planner Tina even helped our photographers find the best places for photos. The reception was great, the linens, table settings and centerpieces were beautiful. All the guests had plenty of cocktails and the food was delicious. The cake was amazing, very very pretty, moist and delicious as well.
Everyone had a great time, Tina and the Inn on the Riverwalk did a superb job. She was very intuitive in picking the kind of wedding "theme" she thought fit my personality. I really appreciated that they were willing to work with me to help me keep my costs down, everything was optional. You could pick a package with itemized costs and add or remove anything you wanted. You can be as hands on as you want or they can do everything for you. Great place, great staff, great value

We couldn't have chosen a better place with staff that was beyond excellent. This wedding was arranged from as far away as Europe (where the bride was stationed), to our nation's capital ( where the groom was stationed), to San Antonio where Tina Gonzales, Erin her assistant, Margret one of the many staff members, Maria the day cook, the wonderful chef that cooked our wedding dinner, John our bartender, Jesse the DJ, Johanna the officiant, and the other great staff members made this an event to remember for all of us. If you are looking for place that will cater to your every need, look no further. The place is such a jewel just as bed and breakfast alone that you will want to return year after year as we have already made plans to do so. We can not begin to explain what a fantastic job the Inn and the staff did to make our day so extraordinary. From the smallest touches of arranging the decor, to helping us get welcome baskets for the guests staying at the Inn, this venue is truly a jewel and a very special place.

This venue was a one-stop-shop for everything that you could possible need whether planning a destination wedding or you live down the road. I absolutely loved that the wedding coordinator took care of ALL the details including flowers, cake, and decorations! Added to all this the quality of the products was exquisite! I cannot express how impressed I was with the quality of the flowers, the deliciousness of the cake, and the attention to details for the reception. The wedding coordinator took the time to make sure we had exactly what we envisioned for our special day! - Stop-by for a visit! Take a walk thorough and envision your ceremony then see if this venue will meet your objectives and goals for a memorable memory. In most cases this venue will indeed meet them! Especially if you're looking for a more intimate and visually stimulating location. Of note, is that the Wedding Planner Coordinator (Kathleen) is very experienced and knowledgeable of wedding settings and provides many suggestions to help you in the planning prep process. She is flexible and indeed seeks to meet your wants and needs for your ceremony/reception. The worksheets she provides helps you greatly in organizing your thoughts and helps you in calculating costs. All in all, we had an outstanding experience leading up to our "Day of Love" celebration! We came across the Inn on the Riverwalk while planning our Wedding. I could not have asked for a more spectacular venue to celebrate one of the most important days of my life. Tina Gonzales exceeded our expectations and made our special day absolutely amazing! Services before, during and after our wedding were first rate. The complete team at the Inn made not only us, but our guests feel at home. We felt like we were the only wedding in the world!! Great place for an outdoor ceremony. Only thing I didn't like is that the officiant was not present at rehearsal, no microphone was provided during the ceremony (that was said to be present during rehearsal), and officiant did not bless the rings (ceremony planned with officiant 5 mins before it began)

The wedding planner told me no problem to everything and then did what she wanted. The cake's flavors or icing weren't correct. I had 7 of our 33 guests complain about her behavior. She had another wedding after ours so we felt ours was rushed through and then we were forgotten about as soon as it was over. It was a disappointment. I couldn't get in touch with her by email, phone or text. Sometimes a month would go by and I was still waiting on an answer. Parking is a nightmare. I sent the owners a many page letter of our complaints. I was told they would take care of it and our contract was fulfilled. The Inn is a beautiful place to stay but I wouldn't have a wedding there. The flowers were beautiful. I would not do it again there.
