Best wedding venue ever!
One of my wife’s best friends got married here and suggested it and from the moment we had dinner here I was like this is the place. It’s so beautiful, intimate, unique and special. Then when I got to speak with Amanda the wedding planner, we instantly hit it off. She’s thoughtful, kind, and thinks of everything. As someone who produces events I didn’t want to feel like I’m double checking everything’s I felt confident leaving things fully in Amanda’s hands. She is a godsend! Also the venue was so accommodating, we wanted to get married in a circle and have our dogs in the bridal party and they said yes to both. It was an incredible time, food and wine were outstanding, and we as the couple felt cared for and valued. We already recommended it to friends who are getting married there. -

Best Day Ever!
My husband and I just celebrated our wedding here September 6,2025 and there are no words for how magical this place is. We had 75 guests celebrate with us on the Fountain Patio and Amanda with her team (Mariya, Krystal, and Karla) made the day stress free and unforgettable. The venue is accommodating, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful. We had the pleasure of getting ready and staying the evening at The Amethyst Inn next door and I highly recommend for weddings or even just staying the night! Amanda, Mariya, Krystal, and Karla were always checking in and really did give us a worry-free evening as well as the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen (although I may be a little biased). We even had the pleasure of enjoying brunch the next day! -

Absolutely Amazing!
Our wedding at the Inn was the most perfect night of our lives. I’m not even exaggerating - based on all the other wedding planning stories I’ve heard I was fully mentally preparing for there to be at least one mishap or hiccup, and was pleasantly surprised when absolutely everything went above and beyond our expectations.
Amanda and team were all so accommodating and detail oriented with set up and making sure all of our guests were taken care of. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in good hands. My husband and I were able to relax with each other at our sweetheart table during dinner (the staff even brought us some appetizers that we didn’t have the opportunity to try during cocktail hour!) and were checked on multiple times to make sure we were good on drinks and everything. We both felt so spoiled!
Our guests have raved about the food options, from the appetizers to the mashed potato bar to our dinner entrees and the cake, everything was delicious and beautiful.
We really appreciated the flexibility to extend the end of our night as our guests were still filling up the dance floor at our original end time.
Getting out of the canyon can be a little tricky at the end of the night, but a well worth trade off for how intimate and beautiful the space is. Ultimately it just meant a bit of a longer wait for a ride share.
I would recommend this venue to literally anyone that is looking for a super romantic and intimate space. I felt like our night was super personalized to our tastes and we were so so supported and helped through all the decisions. I really loved working with Amanda (& Kayla) and appreciated that I could trust her without having to stress about pretty much anything.

So amazing!
Amanda was super amazing and so thorough throughout the whole planning process! she definitely took over everything which was so nice for us especially since we don’t live down in southern california! if you are torn on between two venues definitely choose inn of the seventh ray! we had the most magical wedding!! during the day it’s beautiful, but when the sun goes down it turns into something from a fairytale!! they are also dog friendly which definitely sold us to choose here! we couldn’t have imagined our day without our baby boy!-

An amazing night
Working with Amanda and the staff at Inn of the seventh ray was an absolute pleasure. They were incredible. Amanda - our wedding coordinator was extremely helpful in planning our daughters wedding and bent over backwards to accommodate all of our requests. The food was delicious, the ambiance and the Inn are a perfect space to create a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. We were delighted with the way everything turned out. Thank you to Amanda and the entire staff at the Inn.-

Wedding Experience
Since 2008, the Inn of the Seventh Ray has always been such a special place for my now husband and I. We came here when we were just 17 for our very first anniversary and have been coming back for big celebrations and milestones. So it only made sense to have our wedding here! Amanda helped us from the beginning and made the process so easy for us. She was extremely helpful with our timeline and provided recommendations that truly helped our decision making so much easier! We’re so happy we decided to go with the Inn for our venue and we are so excited to be able to come back and relive the magical day whenever we want! Our families and guests are still talking about the wedding and raved about how beautiful the venue is and how amazing the food was! Thank you Amanda and the Inn for being a part of our special day that we’ll remember forever! -

Amanda is THE best
Amanda and team are incredible. We knew as soon as we met with her for the first time, we wanted to work with her. She has so much experience with the venue and handles everything very effortlessly. We were looking for a very low key, low lift wedding with more of a dinner party vibe, and she made it happen. Our special day was perfect and the only complaint was that it was over so soon. Magical experience
We had a fairytale wedding. Guests were happy and cared for, food was beyond with incredible quality and Amanda and her team were outstanding. Amanda performed the ceremony with great taste and timeless words, she had complete control of all details of the event, overall completely stress free. Highly recommended. -

The Inn and Amanda are a 10/10 star combo!
I wish I can leave more stars for the venue and Amanda (our wedding coordinator.) When my husband and I were looking for venues in the Los Angeles area, we stumbled upon Inn of the Seventh Ray. We were both floored at how professional, personable, and creative Amanda was on our intake meeting. Since our initial intake till the end of the wedding, Amanda has delivered and exceeded our expectations as it relates to her communication; clearly an expert in her field, by ways of creative solutions she would immediately respond with to any potential issues we foresaw. Amanda is also genuine and personable and saw the vision I laid out for her and delivered on all measures. The wedding was beautiful, beyond exceptional, the bar was flowing, the food was phenomenal, cocktail hour was beautiful and all our guests have commented that they’ve never been somewhere so beautiful before or that they’ve never attended a more beautiful wedding.

Perfect relaxed outdoor wedding
In all honesty, this was the first and only venue we toured—we knew immediately that it fit our vision for a beautiful, relaxed outdoor wedding with a ceremony and reception at one location. Once we confirmed that it fit our budget we reserved a tentative date. (We actually ended up moving the date up a few months right before officially signing the contract, which was not a hassle at all.)
Trusting our gut was the right move, because everything went off beautifully. The venue coordinator, Amanda, knew the answers to all of our questions (sometimes before we even thought to ask!) and was refreshingly forthright with advice and opinions about timeline, expectations, and budget. Under her guidance the evening went perfectly (and she definitely went above and beyond, like when she ran over to where we were taking pre-ceremony photos near the venue to deliver a plate of snacks because one of us forgot to eat lunch, and running our event playlists with impeccable timing). The staff, too, were all so professional and friendly—multiple guests commented on how kind and funny various staff members were throughout the night. And the venue itself was exactly what we wanted, from the canopy of twinkle lights overhead while we danced to the absolutely delicious appetizers and dinner (food tip: so many people raved about the shaved brussels sprouts salad, so that’s definitely a winner) to the smooth flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. We kept things minimal when it came to decoration/outside vendors and didn't feel like we were missing anything. Also, there were plenty of heaters set up to keep us warm even on a chilly December evening. Overall a wonderful experience for us and for our guests. (pc: Julie Pepin) -

Exactly what I wanted
My small wedding at Inn of the Seventh Ray was absolutely magical. It was beautiful from beginning to end. While the setting is breathtaking and the cuisine is magnificent, the best reason to book here is that you get a truly outstanding wedding coordinator to help you through the process. Amanda assists with every tiny detail, and she even helped to calm my nerves leading up to the ceremony. She is very attentive, and she never seems to run out of patience. Because of Amanda, I was able to relax at the wedding and really take in those precious moments with my new husband. And somehow, the wedding of my dreams was affordable here. It was all so special. The most magical, romantic place!
Our wedding was the absolute best day ever, and Holly and the rest of the team at the Inn of the Seventh Ray are a huge reason why! Holly is just stupendous - she is so responsive and helpful, and she just gets everything done. The venue is stunning and so romantic. We had our dance floor around the fountain, and it was so much fun, and our photos are gorgeous! The food is also delicious. I can't even count the number of people who commented on how good the food was (along with the comments about how beautiful the venue was). The staff was also amazing. Everyone was just so friendly and fun, and it made the experience just that much better! Someone even helped me with the flowers in my hair when she saw that they were starting to fall out. It was just the most magical day in the most magical, romantic place. I cannot imagine picking a different venue. Another bonus - we can go back and have anniversary dinners there! -

A Special Place for your Special Day
I challenge anyone to find a venue in the LA area that can deliver exceptional food (with delicious vegan, gluten-free options, INCLUDING CAKE), fantastic service and magical ambiance like the Inn. I am sure there are a lot of folks out there who want an exceptional wedding day but feel like they have to compromise on quality because of how much they have in the bank...the value you can get at the Inn is unbelievable. We are still aglow from our special day and a huge thank you to Holly for being soooo good at what she does. Everything ran smoothly (even when it didn't) and after patiently waiting 2 and a half years, rescheduling three times thanks to Covid, it was beyond worth the wait. We are so grateful to the team at the Inn and the vendors that they recommended for these memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. -

Magical Venue and Incredible Events Team
My husband and I got married at the Inn and it was simply magical.
The wedding coordinator Holly and Kalen on her team were fantastic from the very beginning. They have a robust list of vendors who we were incredibly pleased with and they made the entire process easy and stress-free. We planned our wedding in a relatively short amount of time, and we felt like we were in capable hands throughout.
The venue itself is stunning. We experienced historic rains on our wedding day, so we were slightly stressed about how we were going to accommodate given the outdoor/natural feel of the Inn. The patio is covered and the staff went to great lengths to put up umbrellas. While we still got just a little wet, the rain made the whole night extra twinkly and everyone had a good attitude thanks to the seamless coordination from the team.
Highly recommend the Inn and the events team! -

Dream Wedding Venue
Holding our wedding ceremony and reception at the Inn of the Seventh Ray was the best decision we could have made. The venue is gorgeous, with beautiful decor and a natural setting that creates a magical feel. Wedding Coordinator Holly was wonderful to work with, providing advice and support at all points in the planning process. The day of the event, everything ran so smoothly thanks to her expertise! The food was amazing - we continue to receive compliments. Service staff were also so sweet and friendly. I would 1000% recommend this venue!! -

BEST WEDDING COORDINATOR EVER!!
My daughter chose to have her wedding at the Inn of the Seventh Ray because of the beautiful setting, fantastic accommodations and wonderful food that the venue offers. We had no idea that we would receive so much more! Holly, who is the wedding coordinator for the Inn of the Seventh Ray is without a doubt the most amazing wedding coordinator EVER! She is extremely articulate, organized, patient, kind, talented, informative, etc. (I could go on and on). She handled all aspects of my daughter’s wedding in a way that showed she cared about it as much as she would her very own! We had an outside florist vendor that did not show up when expected. We were all clueless except for Holly! She pays attention to every single detail of the wedding! Because of her, she saved the day! If it were not for her being on top of everything and her quick thinking (without anyone of the guests knowing there was an issue) my daughter would not have had flowers at her wedding. I have never met anyone as amazing as Holly. She deserves more than what she charges!! Words cannot express how amazing she is and how she works so incredibly hard for you! Holly is such an amazing asset to the Inn of the Seventh Ray!!
If anyone is looking for a beautiful venue, delicious food, and wonderful waiters for your wedding and want the PERFECT and BEST wedding coordinator ever, look no further than Inn of the Seventh Ray as your venue and Holly as your wedding coordinator!! You will NOT be disappointed!!

Perfection
HOLLY (coordinator)… AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! I could never thank this amazing woman enough for making my experience from start to finish so easy, efficient, and flawless. This woman was born to be a coordinator. So incredibly detailed, efficient, professional, easy to work with. Holly took every opportunity and misfortune to rise above and go out of her way for me. I truly felt so taken care of and special. No detail was too small or too large for Holly, she had my back through it all and the passion radiates through her work. Amazing work ethic. I don't know many people that could do half the job. This location is gorgeous and brings such a package but having an amazing coordinator is what makes it work. Excellent venue
We had a great experience with Inn of the Seventh Ray for our wedding last month (Feb 2020)! Holly was fantastic. She was very professional and was totally willing to work with us on anything we wanted to customize. She especially shined the day-of in terms of managing literally everything from vendors to setting up homemade flower arrangements, to adding candles throughout the venue, corralling our family and friends, finding a lost speech (yep, that happened), and everything in between. It was really special that we got to truly enjoy ourselves knowing we were in the BEST hands!! And, the rest of the staff at the Inn are great too - very professional and genuine. The food was amazing and the ambiance speaks for itself. It was magical. We are forever grateful! -

Like a finely oiled machine
The Inn is beautiful regardless of weather and is perfectly equipped to run a wedding. The team works perfectly together, everything runs smoothly and there are very few decisions you HAVE to make, but many ways to make things personal. Holly is a pro. The food is delicious. Your out of town guests will have to admit they never knew LA could feel so intimate and beautiful. -

Amazing experience!
They were able to accommodate our vegan lifestyle and we got tons of compliments on the food. The venue is stunning. The coordinator, holly, is phenomenal. Staff is fantastic! Really it was the best. Not great for big weddings (ours was small- 79 people). We also added additional time, so that cost extra, but for what you get it was very fairly priced.-

My wedding was beyond beautiful! The food and atmosphere was perfect! Kelly, the coordinator and her team really made sure everything flowed perfectly. They set up and packed everything up as well. I couldn’t be more happy. -

My husband and I had our wedding at the Inn. Kelly was so helpful for all of our weddind needs and questions! She would l literally respond to any email in 12 hours or less. Her staff was so professional- especially Kelly's right hand, Kat, who made sure that we were comfortable and at ease on our wedding day! The food and venue were beautiful and we are so happy that we have all of these amazing memories every time we go back to the Inn for brunch or dinner. The food was excellent, price was excellent, service was excellent and the venue to die for. One of the best decisions we made was to book here! -

If you are looking for the perfect place to have a wedding or other major event, look no further than The Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga, CA. We celebrated our daughter's wedding there this past weekend, and can't find enough words to express our happiness with the outcome. The restaurant already had an outstanding reputation for its food, so we knew the food would be awesome. Aside from the food and the gorgeous location, the icing on the cake for us was that they have their own wedding planner on site. As we live on the east coast and the wedding was on the west coast, this was important to us. Kelly Hancock, the wedding planner/coordinator and her assistant Kat are the dream team. During the planning stage every detail from the major to the minutia was discussed. They coordinated with all of our vendors (Kelly will also provide you with a list of vendors if you need one), and consistently kept us informed and updated up to the day of the rehearsal. As they are perfectionists, they even continued to make sure every last detail was perfect the night of the ceremony and reception. The food was fabulous. Our guests had a vegetarian, meat or fish choice, and the reviews from them were fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. The place itself is, as another reviewer said, gorgeous, magical and romantic. We had extremely high expectations and The Inn of the Seventh Ray far exceeded them. -

This was the most amazing setting for my daughter's wedding ceremony and dinner. After over 9 months of planning a Florida wedding that was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma, we pulled together a destination wedding to the LA area in less than 24 hours. We could not have done that without the wonderful help from Kelly and others. We are still in disbelief that my daughter and son-in-law had the wedding they had dreamed of, but couldn't quite fit the all the pieces together when looking at Calif. a year ago. Kelly even helped with a wonderful photographer referral. They really went up and beyond. The venue is something out of a fairytale, the food was amazing and the service wonderful!! -

Kelly was fantastic - the venue is gorgeous and all questions and concerns were answered promptly! I HIGHLY recommend this venue. It's happily not a wedding factory (like so many other places), but a beautiful, laid-back, charming environment handled with professionalism and fantastic service.

We had our wedding at the Inn this past November and it was a dream come true. The Inn truly looks like a fairy tale and needs almost no decoration to have a beautiful backdrop for your day. We were very fortunate to have Kelly as our coordinator who was amazing. Throughout the process I sent Kelly many stressed out emails and she was always wonderful about calming me down and accommodated anything I asked for. The day of, Kelly took care of everything from decorating to flowers to making sure I was getting enough water! Not to mention, the food and cake was amazing. One of the main reasons we picked the Inn besides the scenery, was how wonderful the food is there. Every guest was so impressed with the food and setting, which was really important to us since they had all traveled in from the east coast. If you are looking for a beautiful, elegant, natural setting, the Inn is the perfect place. I can't rave enough of how perfect our day was because of Kelly and everyone at the Inn. -

As we enjoyed our first 6 months of being engaged, we toyed around with a lot of different ideas for our wedding. One of my closest friends had suggested on a trip out to LA that we check out this great venue called The Inn of the Seventh Ray. We made an appointment to meet with Kirsten and when we walked in, we started laughing. It was perfect! Kirsten was extremely friendly and eager to show us how to bring our idea to life. We decided to come back for dinner so we could experience the venue during the day and the evening. When we arrived and the twinkle lights were glowing, we knew this was it, this was where we were going to get married. Throughout the year, planning was great, even from afar. The day of, Kirsten led a very tight ship, and made everything happen. Our guests raved about the ambiance, food and experience. We were able to have an amazing wedding and give our guests an experience they may not have had otherwise. The only thing that would be nice is if there was a bathroom located on the main level where all the activity was taking place, especially for elderly guests, but with that being all of our guests were troopers and never got caught up on walking up the stairs for the restroom, with a pit stop at the photo-booth! Thank you for the amazing time and experience. -

Angelica handled everything for the event! She was wonderful and so capable & professional. I had no worries and got to enjoy the evening and no worries on my part. She set up gift table, reception table, flowers, favors.. The food wax so delish! I had 50 happy people, the gazebo had twinkling lights and I highly recommend !!! -

A perfect night

Magical and amazing night
This is the most perfect venue for a magical evening. Amanda made sure everything went smoothly for us. Every guest loved the venue - sitting under the stars and surrounded by the forest and creek. Twinkle lights everywhere. The food was amazing as usual. The staff were exceptional. We had a smaller wedding and it was just perfect! I would highly recommend this venue! -

Magical Venue
Before we got married here, an acquaintance (who also got married here) said "it's amazing. your guests will be transported to another dimension." Well, he was right. This venue is IT. Several pros: 1) they do so many weddings so they know the drill and leave little room for error, 2) coordinator is so helpful, you really don't need to supplement with an independent wedding planner, so you save $$ in that regard 3) the venue ambiance is unique and magical and gets even better as the sun goes down and twinkly lights come on (very different than your standard big banquet hall wedding vibes), 4) preferred vendor list leaves little room for day-of errors since they know the drill (we literally had everything run completely smoothly) 5) food is amazing 6) service for wedding day was incredible.
Our guests were raving about how awesome the venue, food, and music was. It's not overly pricey like most LA venues which is awesome. It does LOOK small, but we fit 120 guests no problem. Nooks and crannies make for an awesome guest experience + the ability to fit more than you realize.
Would recommend this venue to anyone! -

One word...... Beautiful!!! We just had a wedding in April 2015.
You will fall in love with this venue in one second. Atmosphere is so lovely and food is amazing.
There are so many green and they're gonna have twinkle lights at night time which are so pretty.
And wedding coordinator over there ( Angelica) was so nice and helpful lady. She is totally amazing.
I highly recommend this place to everyone;) -

Having my wedding at the Inn of the Seventh Ray was a dream. The venue was extra special for me and my husband because we had our first date there. The Inn is truly magical. With the twinkling lights set beside a creek in the forest of Topanga Canyon, I felt like I got married in a fairytale setting. The food was scrumptious and the service was spectacular. Kirsten Halbert, our coordinator, was fantastic. She took such great care of us and our families. And she was always there for me, prompt with her responses, during the months and days leading up to the wedding. Kat, and the rest of the staff were also amazing. They were so professional, generous, and kind. They made my overall wedding experience absolutely wonderful! Thank you, Kirsten, Kat, and everyone at the Inn of the Seventh Ray!!! -

I had a beautiful wedding and reception at Inn of the Seventh Ray. You can't ask for a more beautiful place to get married. Pros: We had a very small wedding (30 guests) and had a difficult time finding a site that would accomodate such a small party. The Inn was a perfect fit for us. The food was amazing - the guests still are talking about it. They were very flexible with decorations and let us add numerous chinese lanterns, candles - pretty much whatever we wanted. Cons: Our wedding coordinator was slightly scattered and we had an issue with the rehersal, but overall eveything went well. The bride's room is in the bathroom and is very small. Timing for weddings is not very flexible and revolves around the restaurant's opening/closing times.Inn of the Seventh Ray's reply:

This is a beautiful venue but not very wedding-friendly for weddings bigger than 50. The layout is just too difficult to plan if you want all your guests to have a clear view of you during dinner. Layout aside, the venue was very responsive and always welcomed me to stop by anytime to do wedding stuff even when the restaurant was running. They are pricey but their food is of really good quality. They could be more flexible on space and pricing however. I was having a huge issue on space and when I asked if I could use a space that wouldn't been unused anyways, I was told it was extra charge. They could improve by providing a clearer cost break-out to present to new clients so we understand what we're signing into. Because of that, I paid about $7k more than I thought I would be paying because I was told that so many items were extra cost. Lucille was amazing to work with. She was very willing to try a layout the restaurant had never done before so all my guests will be able to have a clear view of the head table. It worked perfectly! I couldn't have asked for more! She even decorated my cake (which was gigantic) for me! Thank you for making my wedding dreams come true! -

Didn't hire but disappointed in lack of follow through
We went to tour the venue on 7/17/2022. We loved the venue and it seemed like the perfect spot. The coordinator Amanda seemed amazing and very thorough with helping us visualize having our wedding here. She said she would put our quote together and send it the next day. We waited and received nothing from them so I reached out on 7/24/2022 to see if they were still sending it. Amanda responded and apologized and said she would have it to us by the next day. It's now 7/28/2022 and we have yet to receive our quote for the venue. I completely understand that they are busy but if you can't handle sending a quote to a potential client then you shouldn't be requiring people to pay for your coordination services when your coordinator can't even send a quote. The venue is stunning, the vibes are amazing and would have been the perfect spot but if it's already this disorganized and we haven't even signed a contract I'd hate to see how it is planning your wedding here. -

While our coordinator was a very pleasant person, we loved that she was eco-friendly, and helped with number of items [decorating our cake (which should have been done by our florist), giving us a wine upgrade, offering the use of her numbered table blocks, and substituting last minute canceled guest meals for beverages], we were disappointed by her lack of help in coordinating our wedding. We hope that by leaving our comments here, she might better assist other couples with their weddings.
Our coordinator was mandatory if planning a wedding at the location we picked (a garden restaurant). Frankly, we felt we would have been better off having family or friends coordinate our wedding instead. Below are some of the reasons why.
· Our coordinator wasn't timely with wedding day schedule reminders, so we fell behind time and, as a consequence, were rushed throughout our wedding day.
· Our planned ceremony layout was to have our string trio outside of a nearby gazebo and behind our seated wedding guests. Instead the trio was placed inside the gazebo which muffled the music.
· Our coordinator was also going to give our wedding party (ring bearer and flower girls) a brief rehearsal before the ceremony, but she did not do this. Despite telling us that she would show our photographer and videographer good shooting locations on the restaurant's grounds, she did not do this either.
· Although we paid for the use of the ceremony area, and were promised that we could use it for some time after the ceremony, and could also use it for our full contracted time of 4 hours should it rain, we were rushed out of the area so staff could set up for another wedding. The the staff took down our flowers, and the coordinator rushed us through our wedding party and family photos. The plan was to have our champagne toast in the ceremony area, but that was abruptly changed to make way for the next wedding also.
· Our set-up ran late, so when our guests walked by our reception tables after our ceremony, they were still not completed. Hours after the restaurant opened, and even though our family members came early and helped with a large part of the set-up (our family helped with table decor, AV set-up, memorial table set-up, etc., etc.), our wedding area was still in disarray.
· For our toast, we were told that we could use the restaurant's goblets, but we never received them.
· During our reception meal, our guests asked for champagne, which was specifically noted in prior discussions with our coordinator to only be used for our toast. When our coordinator asked us whether she could serve champagne, we told her "no". Instead of offering the available wine, she stopped all alcohol. This is despite specifically requesting that wine be served on consumption. As a result, our guests went without alcohol until we noticed her error and had to tell her to continue serving wine. Besides this, beer was not included on our planned menu, but it was served to our guests anyways.
· Our wedding cake was to be set out along with the other reception tables, but it was only brought out much later - just before cake cutting - and did not allow our guests to view it or add to our reception area decor. The cake was decorated in the reception area while our guests were at their tables.
· As a part of our wedding, we included a memorial table with deceased family member photos and a large bouquet on it. We gave specific instructions several times to our coordinator to have the table beside us during our ceremony and then moved with us to our reception area. Instead, it was left in the ceremony area for our entire reception while the area was being set up for the next wedding. This didn't allow our guests to view the memorial table or to pay their respects to the deceased. We also specified that we wanted the table draped in white linens - instead it was draped in lavender.
· Lastly, there were personal items accidentally left at the restaurant, including the bride's purse. Instead of calling the bride or groom once they were discovered, our items were left with the restaurant. We had to spend a portion of our wedding night making numerous calls to establish where our missing items were (we had a second reception at a different location as well).
We thought that many of the above issues could have been avoided if our coordinator had paid more attention during our meetings and correspondence. We made great efforts to be a specific and detailed in our communication with her - in creating lists/spreadsheets, giving specific instructions, and filling out her wedding form - but our wedding was still disorganized. Again, our coordinator was pleasant to work with, but we were disappointed by her lack of professionalism and assistance in general. As a result, we were distracted and stressed out on our big day. -

We chose this restaurant because it's in a beautiful environment and has several vegan dishes my husband and i like (we're both vegan, so our wedding was a vegan one). Unfortunately, we were VERY disappointed by the treatment we received from our wedding coordinator (she was generally pretty trite and seemed to want to make the restaurant money more than actually help us), by the performance of the DJ (we actually burned cd's for him so he could have the music we liked and he opted to play music of his choosing which we didn't like), by the fact that WE DIDN"T GET TO HAVE A CAKE TASTING (! they made us choose our cake by what sounded good- my stepmother finally had tell them we'd pay for everything if we could just try the one we were interested in...they finally relented and made a small version which we paid for), and by how our cake ultimately turned out (it was a dia de los muertos theme wedding, so my husband had made myriad marzipan skulls and bones for the wedding cake; not only did we have to bug the wedding coordinator REPEATEDLY for the cake's dimensions, but she ultimately gave us the wrong ones and whoever made the cake just opted to place them on wherever was most convenient. a lot of hard work that was for naught.). Obviously, we were pretty frustrated by our overall experience here and wouldn't recommend this restaurant. It's unfortunate, because it really is a beautiful place.Inn of the Seventh Ray's reply:
