This is truly a hidden gem in Indianapolis for a wedding and event venue. From the moment I walked in I was blown away by the beauty, layout, woodwork, stained glass windows and ease to hold a big event all in one location. The sanctuary was beautiful and alter was just what I dreamed of for my wedding. Piano on stage, large pipe organ, beautiful layout and lighting makes the space truly special. Then to have options for a reception just around the corner in same building made it easy for guests to enjoy the evening without travel. It was amazing and many of my guests had never been to an event there. They all commented on the space. The Landmarks Center made my day one to remember.

Indiana Landmarks is a historic venue that has a lot of meaning to my now husband and me! We had a wonderful experience working with Mary from our very first visit and even after the wedding. She was very responsive, very willing to allow us to visit multiple times, and was very flexible and helpful. She was also able to recommend a couple of vendors to us that we ended up going with!
We had the wedding of our dreams, and even though Landmarks was meaningful to us before, it holds an even more special place in our hearts now!

We had our wedding last month at the landmarks center and I am so happy we did. Tara and Maureen were so nice to work with. We got so many compliments about how amazing the venue is and how nice the staff was. I would recommend working with Tara and Maureen at the landmarks center to friends and family 100%. I worked with Tara at Indiana Landmarks Center for my October 2020 wedding. We chose ILC for our ceremony and reception due to the fact that there are two separate main event spaces, The Grand Hall and Cook Theater, that we could use to our needs. ILC also had their own parking lot and an elevator to get to the second floor mezzanine which are both hard to come by in a downtown historic venue. When we had to postpone our original May wedding due to Covid, Tara was a pleasure to work with when searching for a new date. She was easily accessible by phone and email and was so flexible with us when our guest count was continuously changing with the government restrictions. Tara, Maureen and Alan were all present on our wedding day and we can’t thank them enough for their hard work in making a beautiful wedding happen during a pandemic! I would highly recommend ILC for events as the team is great to work with, and the space is just beautiful with so many options for fitting small to large groups of people safely.

We are so thankful that we found Indiana Landmarks! This is the most beautiful and affordable venue I've seen. Our ceremony was located in Grand Hall which looks like a beautiful theater and a church combined! The stained glass and custom lighting is stunning during any time of the day. Our favorite part of Grand Hall is the newly restored Pipe Organ! The pipes make a timeless, stunning backdrop. We didn't have to decorate the stage at all! They have a small table that we borrowed for our unity set and any other small details, they were happy to assist with. They have a room in which the bridal party can wait in. It's smaller so I wouldn't suggest getting ready here, but it was perfect to wait in while our guests were arriving. Our reception was held in the adjoining room, Cook Theater. You have to see it to appreciate how amazing it is! 2 stories, your guests can look over the balcony and watch people dancing below. The mezzanine upstairs was perfect for our photobooth, cocktail hour and just a nice quieter space for guests who needed to take a break. Downstairs, they have their own kitchen on site which was valuable to our caterer. They have a small room off to the side which hosted the bar and buffet line. We had our head table on the stage which was so much fun! We could look out and see all of our guests.
Our venue site coordinator was always prompt in returning my emails and was VERY sweet and accommodating! Any time we had a meeting, she was always right there by the entry door waiting for our arrival. I could go on and on but the point is, I've coordinated many weddings in the past and I was so blessed to have come across this amazing venue for my own special day. Thanks to Sari, Alyssa and Alan for our perfect day!!!

The best day of my life- most beautiful venue I have ever seen! I LOVED working with Alyssa! She was really sweet, personable, and organized. She had a file with notes from past meetings with me and every time we met she always knew my requests because she kept them written down and all together. I would highly recommend this venue!

We just recently booked them and it has been amazing! It is GORGEOUS!!!!! They were accommodating, professional, and timely. Alyssa was really great and responded very quickly to emails! Make sure to read their FAQ page online and the contract before you sign, everything is laid out very well on both of them and their prices are on their website. Once you see the rooms you will be sold! Also, have some of the caterers give you a proposal before you sign because they add a lot of costs you don't know about!

Gorgeous venue. Know that it is bare bones, you get the space and need to hire catering (from their list of 5 options) and everything else, including a day of coordinator if you want one. Great pictures!

I had the best wedding experience I could have hoped for. The staff at the Indiana Landmarks Center are so much fun to be around, they are knowledgeable, and they help tremendously on the big day that you plan so much for.

This venue is beautiful and the staff are unbelievably accommodating. They worked harmoniously with all the moving parts of our wedding, and it came together flawlessly.

All I can say is - WOW! We had an incredibly wonderful experience with Indiana Landmarks from beginning to end. This venue is a showstopper in itself. We had our ceremony and reception in the Cook Theater and it could not have been more perfect. We found the Indiana Landmarks staff professional, helpful and knowledgeable. From great suggestions for other vendors to the best way to navigate the space...they were great! I highly suggest Indiana Landmarks for a wedding or event venue. It offers an intimate setting for a special night.

Loved everything about our gorgeous day! We had a small elopement at the Morris Butler House on the ILC campus and it was pure perfection. Don’t sleep on this gorgeous space if you’re planning to host a smaller event!

We had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Indiana Landmarks. Alyssa helped us visualize the entire day and was very responsive to our questions. There are a few limitations with things you can do, due to the fact that the building is historical, but that did not deter us from having the perfect day!

The team at ILC is great and the venue is stunning. We couldn't have had a more beautiful backdrop for our wedding day - from the architecture to the grounds.
Mary, Tara, and Annie were very responsive and were great to bounce ideas off of. I felt very confident in their team handling our big day.

The only cons to the venue are the limited access to the space before the event - I often stressed myself out thinking if everything could be pulled off (set up and pictures) in that limited time - and the fact that you have to pay per chair and table, rather having that included in the venue package.

Indiana Landmarks Center was the first vendor we booked for our wedding and I think it was the best choice we could have made. I love that it's not a super well known venue compared to some others in Indy, so it made our wedding day feel a bit more unique and special.

I had fallen in love with Indiana Landmarks for the history of the organization, and couldn't have been happier to get married there

I had my wedding here and while this venue is absolutely breathtaking in its beauty, the staff and leadership here is extremely poor. When things would go wrong on my wedding day, they made sure to seek out me (the bride) and blame me for any problems that occurred. Instead of trying to fix any problem that arose, they stood and talked near the office area amongst themselves. They also didn't inform us that by using our band's sound system, people in adjacent rooms would be unable to hear. MAKE SURE YOU USE THEIR SOUND SYSTEM even if they say that you can use your band's. The event coordinator there is extremely snippy and rubbed many of my guests the wrong way. She was also almost completely absent from the day. We were completely on our own once the ceremony began. No one gave a signal as to when the girls should walk down the aisle and I didn't even have anyone to open the door when it was my turn to walk down the aisle. With one arm on my dad and a bouquet in the other hand, this made things rather difficult and I had to ask my photographer to open the door for me. Their poor management was extremely unfortunate since they have such a beautiful facility. Also, make sure that you know that no one will be around to help you for your rehearsal. The event coordinator will make sure that she rudely expresses to you what time you need to be out and then will disappear for an hour. If I were to do my wedding all over again, I would still choose this venue because it is unique and stunning, but I would have liked to be aware of all of these things before my actual day so that we could avoid these issues within their leadership. Therefore, I wrote this review to help any future bride! I hope it is beneficial!
